Fantasy The Extraordinarily mundane- A modern fantasy exploration and investigation RP interest check

Name: Feyvel Zaslavsky
Appearance: 5’8”, stocky. Prominent nose, dark auburn hair long enough to keep tied back in a loose knot, brown eyes with partial heterochromia in the left. Usually wears a green canvas jacket with many pockets and lace up brown hiking boots.
Race: Human
Age: 29
Gender: Male
Nationality: American (ethnically Ashkenazi Belorussian-Jewish and Ukrainian-Jewish)
Occupation: Surveyor and Cartographer
Trait: True North: Feyvel has an unshakable sense of direction, even when somewhere he’s never been before.
Gear preference:
mechanical theodolite
compass
measuring tapes and levels
journal
collection of pencils
fountain pens and inks
travel water color kit
paper

rifle

Bio: Feyvel had an exceedingly normal childhood in Vermont. Both of his parents were teachers, and knowing that money was tight, Feyvel joined the Navy Seabees rather than go to college after graduating high school. He trained as an engineering aid and spent five years in the service, with two additional in the reserves. Originally, Feyvel had planned to stay and have a career in the Civil Engineer Corps, but while stationed in Iraq he kept running into anomalies in his surveying and maps that his commanding officers were suspiciously disinterested in investigating. Once out of active duty, Feyvel started looking into the anomalies on his own—and discovering more—which naturally meant his path crossed with the Archivists’ sooner rather than later.

Name: Brother-Legionnaire Indomitus, Centurion and Warrior EternalBrother-Legionnaire Indomitus Face.png
Race: Human
Age:
Real age unknown, apparent age around mid 40s
Gender: Man, Blessed by the Undying Emperor
Nationality: The Greater Holy Roman Empire
Occupation: Artifact Reclamation Specialist & Demon-Hunter
Trait: Emperors Gaze - Blessed with the hymn of the Emperor himself the receiving individual of this sacred boon shall enjoy increased strength and determination for a short duration.
Gear preference:
- Legionnaire's Blessed Armor
- Aegis-type 20mm Automatic Self-Defense Weapon (SDW)
- Centurion Shotgun w. blessed incendiary shells
- Various assortment of blessed grenades and other explosive devices
- A Virtus-model blade for melee combat

Bio: Once upon time Indomitus and the rest of his bretheren and Emperor were but characters of a popular fictional alternate history book series written by a novice author in northern Italy. Said author was related to a history teacher whom in turn was an expert on the Roman Empire. Inspired by the history of old the author set out to create his own fictional universe- one where the Roman Empire never fell. He spent extensive amounts of time building his own alternate history, so much so that he failed to notice that he was able to naturally channel Focus.

Enter Indomitus; An icon of Roman superiority both as warriors and as a people this former minor character had come to life. Standing at 210 centimeters tall (without his armor) Indomitus is completely oblivious to the fact that he's a fictional character from a book and refuse to accept any notion or hint of that fact. Indomitus believes that he was sent by the Emperor on a sacred quest to secure a strange yet oddly familiar world from the clutches of a secret demonic incursion spanning the globe. Armed with highly advanced equipment on-par with most modern military prototypes and his stalwart faith Indomitus was recruited relatively quickly into the ranks of the Archivists whom he believes to be allies of the Greater Holy Roman Empire that he serves.

Unknown to him the Archivists more or less trick him into dutiful service by signing electronic messages with the name of his Emperor and by translating them into Latin, leading Indomitus to believe that he is indeed somehow communing with his spiritual and military leader. Thus the Legionnaire hold no doubts regarding his mission and will happily (and often loudly) carry out the orders given to him, more often than not including the procurement (= "reclamation") of anomalous Focus-related artifacts and objects.

Name: Mara Kelly

Race: Human

Age: 28

Gender: Female

Nationality: Irish

Occupation
: Former Chemist

Traits:
-Chemestry and Alchemy knowledge: while far from perfect since dedicating full time to alchemy Mara's methods while some may think
unconventional have been perfected Mara's concotions and other methods make for strange but effective solutions to many ailments and injuries

Gear Preference: -Since having to live by herself in the irish countryside mara has become profficient with a number of small arms for hunting
she realized that her right arm can sustain the recoil of a number of guns that would require 2 arms to operate
-while she has set up her lab in her families homestead she is no stranger of working in other both rudimentary or high tech labs if they have the materials

Bio: Since little Mara was facinated by tales of alchemists and potion makers of old , even after getting her Phd
she still visited her old family's homestead in the country to dabble in ancient research what started as a hobby turned to obsesion
turned to disaster , Mara tought she could apply old rituals and methods to modern science and the result from an experiment she tought could
"regenerate tissue" ended up with her current form , while she has abandoned her professional carrer , the incident proved her one thing , alchemy was real and possible to use
and she was not going to stop now.
Her "Gifts" a sarcastic name for the results of mara's first experiment , retractable (tho uncomforable when retracted) horns , tail and an extra arm that grows from her right shoulder ,
her right arm is leathery red and visibly bigger and stronger looking than her "normal" left one
When outside she usually wears a big overcoat to hide her right arm and tail so that she doesent have to retract it , sadly no hoodie or hat would keep her horns from beeing seen

Name: Harvest

Race: Dryad

Age: 34

Gender: Female

Nationality: American

Occuption: Techie (I know, ironic)

Trait: All Seeing Eye Drone - a drone powered by dryad magic that can see anyone and anything in present time provided she knows who or what she is looking for.

Gear Preferance: Ironically she prefers tech and the internet over actual earth and it's inhabitants, despite the fact that she's a dryad.

Bio: Harvest has always been the odd one out. of the bunch. She always had a particular dislike to Dryad culture and the way they shied away from human technology and civilization. When she was young, she found an Iphone on the crosswalks into her woods, curious, she ripped it apart and studdied it's contents. Eventually she gained an apprecation for tech, and after grabbing some missing hiker's clothes trekked to the civilization. Where she eventually joined Archivists.

Race: Demon

Age: ???

Gender: Male ???

Nationality: ???

Occupation: Former Catholic priest

Trait(s): Shapeshifter- Ability to take the appearance of any person he killed in the past

Gear preference:
WIP

Bio: Oliver was born somewhere in Europe in the early 1600s, right around when the 30 year war was just beginning to rear its head. He doesn’t remember much from his past, only that he was a Catholic priest in those days. His death is unknown, although he suspects the church had something to do with it. In his afterlife he ended up in Hell.
In Hell, another piece of information about his life was fed to him from none other than one of the seven deadly sins themselves; Envy. Although Oliver was a priest he was overcome with Envy, which is how he made his way down to serve the sin. How or why this happened he still does not understand, but he intends to find out eventually.

Just a heads up, the start of the RP will be posted later in the weekend, but there are still 2 slots available for those wondering

Name: Skub! The Amazing Sentient Puddy.

Race: Puddy-Person (with a touch of human DNA).

Age: 12 years old.

Gender: Male.

Nationality: Unknown.

Occupation: Carnival attraction.

Trait: Slimeshifter - Skub!'s very bizarre and gelatinous amoeba-like body allows him to take the shape of anything he thinks of.

Gear preference: Skub! has no real gear preference, though due to being a scientist's "son", he has a fondness for more advanced technology.

Bio: The product of a mad scientist attempting to create the strongest soldier in the entire world, but was unfortunately crippled by a realistic budget. Skub! entered the world at the bottom of a container tank as the chemical byproduct of several experiments that were neglected to be cleaned up properly. Though instead of this mess of chemicals being tossed out, the scientist in charge had a brilliant (at the time, at least) idea; why not recycle that sludge as part of the super soldier program he's desperately trying to find funding for? The result was an astounding, brilliant, excellent, and amazing failure. Not only did the end result barely qualify as a soldier, it barely even qualified as a human as all it ended up doing was give human sapience to a pile of modified goo. Enter Skub! proper to the world where he had no desire to kill, he didn't understand orders properly, and found better company with the birds and creatures of the woods outside than his increasingly frustrated creator. Upset by this unforeseeable setback, Skub!'s creator ended up pawning him off to a circus sideshow just so he could at least make some money back. It worked out well for Skub! in the end as he enjoyed the company of his fellow freaks than the cold laboratories of which he was born in.
