The Velaryons have, for centuries, festered in House Targaryen’s shadow. Known only as distant kin to their dragon kings.

But-

A war with Essos.
Thousands of men dead.
And The Seven Kingdoms left tattered, has resulted in a regime change. The Targaryens have fallen from their throne.
And their cousins have taken reign.

24 years on,
Westeros thrives in some corners and rots in others. House Velaryon is a friend to many and an enemy to more. King Aenys still clings to his titles and refuses to die, but, as his fiftieth name day approaches, death seems all to near.
He, and others, think that he has ushered in an age of peace for Westeros. And he has for now. The waves are calm.

But that calm is warning of the storm.

King’s Landing

Rejoice!

King Aenys’ name day does approach. Our righteous ruler is half a hundred and it is time for our city to celebrate him. Lords an’ ladies from all over The Seven Kingdoms are arriving for lavish banquets and bustling tourneys.

However-
Things are tense underneath the surface.
Lord Osmund Baratheon is dead. Beheaded by the king he served. For reasons unbeknownst to the general public, thanks to The Crown and The Faith trying to keep the interest in Aenys’ festivities.

Will his grace’s name day go off without a hitch?
And what will House Baratheon do in retaliation for the loss of their lord?

Important Roles In King’s Landing :

High Septon
King Aenys’ Court
Small Council Members

The Crownlands

“The Velaryons are gracious overlords,”
Some might say.

Whilst others profess that it is quite the opposite. Whatever it is, The Crownlands is quite divided in opinion of their new rulers.

Important Houses In The Crownlands :

House Celtigar
House Darklyn
House Velaryon Of Driftmark ( Cadet Of House Velaryon )

The Stormlands

The stags are being hunted.

Their good Lord Osmund is gone. Their lands are being encroached on. Their rivalry with the griffins is almost at its wits end.

The storm that brews for King Aenys might very well begin in the region of Westeros most known for them.

Important Houses In The Stormlands :

House Baratheon ( Reserved )
House Connington ( Reserved )
House Dondarrion

Dorne

Though Dorne has always been a little different from the rest of The Seven Kingdoms, they’ve been alienated even more so since King Aenys took his throne.

Dorne is out of touch.
But not out of mind.

The Crown and The Faith have set up base on the prison island of Ghaston Grey, where they keep a watchful eye on the Dornish peoples. House Yronwood especially- since they are one of the last few houses with Targaryen blood pumping through their veins.

And therefore a threat.

Important Houses In Dorne :

House Dayne Of Starfall
House Martell ( Reserved )
House Yronwood

The Reach

The war in Essos hit home the most for the men of The Reach.
It was most of their soldiers who marched off under King Aegon Targaryen’s command.
And so it was most of their soldiers who died for him.

Now, it is said that women rule The Reach. House Tyrell especially.

The region is one heavily fractured. Lord Tyrell is weak, even though the women advising him are not. Many would say that it is time for a new house to take charge and bring The Reach back into the fold.

Important Houses In The Reach :

House Florent
House Hightower ( Reserved )
House Tyrell

The Westerlands

A lion still has claws.
And those claws have shown themselves.

House Reyne is no more. Their corpses hang, beaten and bloodied- whilst the bards sing songs for their ghosts. The Westerlands recovers from a brutal civil war.

Or at least ‘attempts’ to recover.
There is still much animosity herded at House Lannister and their lasting alliance with the good King Aenys.

Important Houses In The Westerlands :

House Crakehall
House Lannister ( Reserved )
House Tarbeck

The Riverlands

The Riverlands never amounted to much.
Until King Aenys took control that was.

Now-

They are strong and prosperous. House Tully are close allies to The Crown. House Mallister controls the thriving Seagard, which is brimming with life. Maidenpool is now one of the biggest port cities in Westeros.

All is well.

Besides the fact that there is a growing population of brigands running around plotting revenges for what happened to House Whent...

Important Houses In The Riverlands :

House Frey
House Mallister
House Tully

The Vale

“Times were good under Egg The 6th.”
The drunken man at the inn tells you as he drowns his woes with stale ale.

The Vale is a mess thanks to House Velaryon.

Mountain clans run wild taking what and who they want. Gulltown, once a bustling port, is now a hive for smugglers and pirates. The lords and ladies of The Vale are ready to sell anyone out from under them.
Their overlords, House Arryn, who’ve ignored every problem to come their way, most especially.

Important Houses In The Vale :

House Arryn
House Grafton
House Royce

The North

Things were relatively peaceful up in The North. That was until King Aenys’ commitment to The Faith meant that he had to purge the realm of all religions that weren’t of The Seven.

For the last several years, seeds for an inquisition have been sewn.

Several houses have already peacefully converted, but what will happen when one house takes a stand against The Faith and against The Crown?

Important Houses In The North :

House Bolton
House Manderly
House Stark

The Iron Islands

One of the first conflicts of King Aenys’ reign was “The War On The Waves”. In which he ordered each navy, but his own, to be stripped bare of their ships. Many did not like this. House Redwyne and House Greyjoy especially.

Unlike The Redwynes however, The Greyjoys and all of their ironborn put up a proper fight. And when King Aenys came sailing their way-
They paid with their blood.

House Greyjoy is no more. The only remnants of them are some hostages in the capital. House Harlaw ( Of Ten Towers ) was installed as lords of The Iron Islands. To much dismay.

Important Houses In The Iron Islands :

House Drumm
House Goodbrother
House Harlaw

The Night’s Watch

The Night’s Watch is the biggest it has ever been. No castle on The Wall stands without a crow garrisoning it.
This is because King Aenys was quite prone to sending those who disagreed with him to The Watch. And those who disagreed with him the most came from noble birth.

Yes,
The men manning The Wall are no longer your average criminal. They are knights and lordlings and high born brothers and sons.

This also means that most of them want nothing more but to go home.
And if they all join together… nothing stands in their way from stopping them doing so.

Important Roles In The Night’s Watch :

Commander Of Castle Black
Commander Of Eastwatch
Commander Of Westwatch
( And More! )

And Beyond The Wall . . .

A King Beyond The Wall has shown his head and is in the midst of uniting the free folk against the terrible south.

Will he succeed?
Will another take his place?
Or will the wildlings fail once again to breach The Wall standing in their way.
