Attire/Clothing Style: Nageku High’s uniform consists of a white, short-sleeved T-shirt, an off-white, buttonless vest, a red ribbon and either a pair of black-and-white pinstripe pants or a knee-length skirt of the same design. Feel free to modify it based on your character’s preferences, though do keep in mind that the dress code strictly enforces the uniform pants/skirt. Please keep in mind that Metaverse outfits/Thief attire don’t exist in this roleplay, so what your character wears during combat is entirely up to their discretion.
*Equipment: Your character will be allowed one signature weapon for combat, as well as a personal belonging they may choose to take to the cognitive world. Cognition-based abilities reign here, so be creative!

Initial Persona: This will be your character’s first Persona in the roleplay. It should be a mythological, literary, folklore or historical figure,
Source Description: Who or what is your character’s initial Persona based on? How do they tie into your character’s personality?
Appearance: It’s important that your character’s Persona doesn’t look exactly like a specific picture - you may use one or two images for reference, but be sure to add your own flair and details to it through text description. Above all else, tailor it to your vision of your character!

Skill Rules:
  1. All offensive skills, original or preexisting, are to fall under one of the following elements, without exception: [Physical, Gun, Fire, Ice, Electric, Wind, Bless, Curse, Psychokinesis or Nuclear]. Skills which inflict status conditions without injuring the target whatsoever should be listed as [Ailment]-type skills. Skills which can augment the target's abilities, for better or for worse, fall under the [Support] category, while skills which possess restorative or curative properties are classified as [Recovery] abilities.
  2. Please be specific and concise with the description of your character's attacks so as to minimize confusion.
  3. Regarding instant-kill skills - they are only permitted under strict conditions, and cannot kill player-owned Persona-users, only incapacitate them (unless PTK is given). For example, Hama, the Bless-type instant-kill, might have an innate criteria that must be met in order to activate it, such as the target being injured a set number of times prior by the caster using a designated ability, or Mudo, the Curse-type variant, might require the user to maintain skin-to-skin contact with the target for a specific amount of time. While I understand the appeal of these abilities, please do keep in mind the difficulty of balancing them.

Arcana repetition is allowed!
(Personas are only listed by their full names to help with identification. IRP, they will be referred to by either their most prominent monikers or their first names if none are available)

    Personality

    Positive Traits
    • Brilliant
    • Serious
    • Adaptive
    • Decisive
    • Open-minded

    Negative Traits
    • Aimless
    • Reserved
    • Tactless
    • Moody
    • Lonely

In-Depth Personality Used to be a passionate and spirited young child filled with dreams and wonder. She had so much life in her that despite any unfortunate happenings she always bounces back with a smile so long as she had her parents with her. She didn't mind their methods of training, no matter how harsh they may be for a child, as she also loves the things she does, playing the piano for hours, learning sheet music. She loved bringing a smile to their faces. Of course, nothing stays forever.

Ever since middle school, Aoi has felt lacking. There was a growing sadness in her. Her mother had become harsher during practice and lessons, her father came home past midnight, sometimes drunk, and when he is at home he started to be very critical of Aoi whenever she made mistakes and other times when he doesn't. It didn't help that she has very few friends at school, most bully her for her ethnicity with a spot of jealousy for her talents.

She felt isolated. When alone she tried to write music, paint, sketch, expressing herself through these activities to feel better even just momentarily. She used to find it gratifying when people applauded her during piano competitions but now it didn't feel like so. She felt pressure to be better. Until it came to a point that she stopped playing keys halfway, she found her paintings unsatisfying, her sketches became mere scribbles.

Then came her parents' divorce, that was when everything fell apart for her. It was then she realized she was clinging to a fantasy of her parents one day becoming the people they were before. A happy family. She stopped caring, she didn't know what to do with herself anymore. She stopped smiling, stopped having fun, it was easy to see how drastic the change is in her personality.

Likes Aoi has a big love for anything related to the arts in any kind of form or medium.

She has a brilliance for visual art, literary art, and performing art. Her likes include reading, writing, painting, and playing music to name a few of the many things. But she also likes to eat, like with spicy food in general and sushi. She likes to spend her time in peace and devoid of distractions so she can focus more on what she is doing. She also likes the feeling of a good breeze caressing her skin and the cold drops of rain from a crying sky.

Dislikes Her dislikes mostly are with the family and how she has lived until now.

She hates it when she cannot finish her work, which has been happening a lot lately. She dislikes the taste of dry food in her mouth and ones that are too slimy. Awfully made adaptation of any kind is one of the few things she spites on. Any talk about her parents is a big no for her. She dislikes her father and mother for a lot of things including the fact that they can't accept her sexuality. Another thing to take note of is that she dislikes strong smells from garbage, spoiled food, and perfumes because she has a sensitive nose and may or may not gag upon getting a sniff of the odor.

Style Aoi's clothing style falls under the category of comfortable and casual. She would always be seen wearing shirts with long sleeves and prefers wearing shorts over pants but she finds them comfy enough to wear on certain occasions. She does not wear dresses and would more often than not wear a pantsuit or a fitting pair of a blouse and pants on formal occasions. Her footwear ranges from sneakers to boots, anything but heels.

Her school attire consists of the basic school uniform, white shirt, and off-white buttonless vest with a pinstripe skirt, knee-length black socks, and flat shoes. The one thing worth noticing is the dark denim jacket she has over the shirt and vest where its sleeves go slightly past her wrist are always worn even in the summer heat. Aoi would often style her hair in a low ponytail or just let it be as is.

Name: Shirou Lancaster
志朗 LANCASTER
(aspire; cheerfulness) (not a japanese word)
Starting Point: Caught partaking in indecent activities with a fellow classmate while skipping class.
Arcana: Strength (Reversed)
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Will hit on anything that breathes.

Personality: At a glance, Shirou looks a lot like your average high-school prick: Self-centered, conceited and reckless to a fault, you'll find him at the heart of every party as well as the backstage of most school-level felonies. Besides that, one can easily notice in Shirou a powerful fixation over his and others' images, which is translated into his habit of photographing anything that catches his attention. On a deeper level, one can notice a significant agitation on his actions and words whenever hints of his well-raised, starry-eyed past self rise up. He relies deeply on his reputation of egocentric asshole to operate, and taking that away from him will certainly throw him in for a loop; as this happens, though, some unexpected displays of bravery and chivarly that stem from said past are prone to slip through.

Backstory:
Shirou Lancaster was born in London, the surprise product of a frowned upon romance between an university professor and a foreign Japanese student. He had a bumpy start in life, with his mother trying her hardest to raise him all alone while juggling studies and work; that being said seeing her boy grow into a healthy, kind and fearless young boy with an interest in photography made it all worth it. Sadly, Shirou’s relatively happy life would change towards the end of middle school. Fired from her job, his mother became unable to sustain both of them on her own. She had no choice but to send the still young kid back to the town of Kayatomi to live with his mostly indifferent aunt, with the promise that she’d come back for him once she got her finances organized again.

Away from both his parents, with no friends and a shaky grasp of Japanese, the young boy waltzed into class riddled with worry. He was so desperate to avoid rejection that he decided to take up a mask, using the inherent charm of his foreign origin to impress his peers. It worked beyond any expectations. Before long, kids would crowd around the young boy, amazed and intimidated by his charming, reckless fake self. Life seemed good again. The years went on by like a flash and Shirou would, slowly but surely, lose touch with his old self. He dove deeper and deeper into the lie, began breaking rules, mistreating his peers and dating whoever peaked his interest, ditching them as soon as said interest fizzled out and relying on his charm and wit to get himself out of any hairy situation he got in. Eventually, the only aspect of his original self that remained was his photography, the rest of his values hidden and sealed deep within himself.

Love it or hate it, Shirou Lancaster ended up becoming a bit of an ubiquitous name within the school. Unrestrained by his Aunt and uncaring of his own future, it seemed like the teen’s life had turned into a never-ending parade of self-destructing, self-indulging delinquency. Nothing was off limits as long as it gave him a kick. He's now walking into his last year of high school and acting more reckless than ever; Part of the reason behind that is the so awaited return of his mother. What was once an event he deeply longed for was now a threat to his new lifestyle, and he's heading straight towards a dead end. Yet, he seems willing to up the ante even more. If he is to go down, the least he could do is go down as a legend.

Physical Appearance:
1583200978327.png

Height: Just under 6'
Weight: 143 lbs
Attire/Clothing Style: In school, Shirou wears his vest open, with a string wristband or two on his arms and a chain hanging from his belt, which has a silver buckle shaped like a devil. Outside of school, he is aways fashionable and groomed, often going with V-necks, jackets and ripped jeans, always in dark colors. He switches often between various types of string bracelets and necklaces, wearing the same belt and chain he wears in school. Finally, his camera sling is a must-have at all times.

Equipment: Pro Camera
The Pro Camera is an indestructible piece of photographing machinery that can use its flash to make foes dizzy once every few seconds. Shirou can bonk people with it or wield it through its sling to swing at foes. He can channel some of his Persona's skills through his camera, turning it into a fireball or a spiked ball for added damage.

Persona CS
Initial Persona: King Arthur
Source Description: The legend of King Arthur is a collection of tales and folklore that tie deeply into Britain's historic origins, centered around its namesake and his inner circle of noble knights. While this seems to be completely out of place for a sleazy, delinquent young man of the likes of Shirou, but it actually perfectly represents the deepest desires repressed within the boy's heart, nurtured from a young age. A desire to be chivalrous, brave and heroic like a knight just like the king of legend.

Appearance:
King Arthur is a living suit of armor, large and imposing, yet elegant, with silver armor, black chain mail underneath and a long, floating red cape with a fur collar. His helmet is a classic T-shaped entrance, the insides shrouded in darkness, and there's a floating crown above him. That is when the medieval references end, however; the armor also has black spiked belts and bracelets, as well as an aesthetic chain hanging from his waist and rockets sprouting from his back. The greatsword is the centerpiece of the Persona, being large even for its proportions and made of silver and gold in intricate patterns that form laurels and lions. The guard has flamethrowers attached to it that can be reversed to make a lunge pack even more of a punch than normal.

Skill List:

Burning Soul [Fire] - This ability covers King Arthur's sword in flames, causing it to create waves of fire wherever he swings and inflicting burning damage on hit foes as well as on the ground. When activated on Shirou's camera, it turns into a burning ball of fire that'll explode after a couple seconds, with a new camera appearing inside his pocket shortly after.

Turtle's Charge [Physical] - King Arthur summons a shield on his armor and then uses his rocket thrusters to fling himself into an enemy, dealing high damage wherever he lands and launching lighter foes into the air; During the charge, the Persona will also take reduced damage and will take a very strong hit to be stopped. When activated on Shirou's camera, it becomes significantly heavier for anyone except Shirou himself, which can be used as a projectile or to intercept enemy attacks.

Nocturnal Flash [Ailment/Support] - When activated, King Artur will raise his sword, emitting a powerful light that will impair his opponents' vision. The shine will also imbue all his nearby allies and Shirou's camera with a light aura that increases the damage of their attacks. The longer the sword is held for, the more powerful that damage aid becomes.

Kouha [Bless] - Kouha manifests in the form of a quick, large arrow rain that spawns wherever King Arthur points at, lasting for a few seconds. Getting hit by Kouha will cause the target's body to shine and, if hit enough, to tear at its seams, starting from their extremities. Using this on Shirou's camera will make it emit a powerful continuous beam from its lenses.

Valiant armor [Support] - When active, this skill will make the target's skin/clothes glow white for a few seconds. Any damage they take while in this state will be reduced and converted into a power-up for their strength and skills for a short while after it. This skill usually takes a few seconds to take effect, but in a pinch Shirou can take a picture with his camera to instantly apply a weaker version of the ffect.

Swords Dance [Physical] - King Arthur summons a single blade large blade from the ground to impale/cut enemies in its path. Other swords can then be gradually summoned from within that same blade in fractal pattern until it covers a large area. When used in Shirou's camera, it turns into a spiked flail.

Rocket booster [Passive] - Every time King Arthur uses a skill, his sword's boosters will heat up, dishing out flame bursts that speed the rate of his swords' attacks and lit enemies on fire if they aren't careful. It'll also turn Shirou's photographs into bursts of light that heat up and burn slightly whatever they touch.

Last Stand [Support] - King Arthur covers himself in a coal-like black armor that, while keeping him still, will leave him absolutely impervious to damage and effects for a brief moment. When he breaks free from it, it'll open up red hot veins that boost his and Shirou's strength and defense for a few seconds.

Weaknesses: King Arthur's sword comes with a scabbard that hangs by its waist. Destroying or removing the scabbard will prevent the Persona from casting skills until it is resummoned. It is also weak against Curse and Nuclear type skills.

The Ex List
With his cartoonishly active romantic life, Shirou has accumulated a notorious list of former SOs, all of which have had or will have some sort of impact in life and personality. Most of the characters here were created with help from good friends, and anyone is welcome to pitch in as well! Here's the current list, still a bit under construction:

Name: Tanaka Minato
Starting Point: A misunderstanding regarding being found taking certain drugs that was actually medicinal.
Arcana: The Hanged Man
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Closeted Lesbian
Personality:
Minato had just gone through one of the worst things a person could go to and came out relatively intact. This has pretty much removed any caution and most of her constraint she might have. Though she is taciturn with a calm measured manner, she is quite gregarious, humorous and fun-loving to the point of recklessness. In fact more than once she was accused of being self-destructive even suicidal in the way she goes about him. Though not one to be easily angered, she has a sharp tongue and not afraid to stand up for herself of others even at the risk of personal danger. Caring more of others than her own personal health. The few times she shows anger and irritation when she gets her migraines or seizures, at these times she easily irritable, liable to snap at anyone for anything because of these at these times she keeps to herself.

Leaving both father and child devastated.

After a few months of grief Minato's father decided to leave the city and start new life on the island of Kayatomi. The move was quite the adjustment for Minato who found it difficult to adjust to the new island life becoming a bit of a loner until finding friends in her current group. Soon enough she adjusted and thrived, finding an interest in music as well as cooking thanks to the influence of her friends. Developing plans to either going into music with friends of following in her mothers footsteps and becoming a chef. She also become popular with male students having several boyfriends in her middle years but there were always short term finding little satisfaction from them. Soon she came to realization for the reason for this but she did not want to accept it.

When she was sixteen soon began to show the same system her mother did before being diagnosed with the tumor. It was confirmed Minato was suffering from the same condition as her mother. She want into treatment thought she had little hope of surviving, even having to travel to the mainland for treatment. She was prepared to die but after a year and several risky surgeries and treatment seemed to work and she began to go into remission. She still suffered from the occasional migraines and seizure yet she would live. This was a curse as well as blessing to her as now she is rethinking her life and choices. She had given up all her plans for the futures and now she doesn't know what to do with herself and that scares her. She returned to Kayatomi and tried to get back into school life repeating a year. Yet she finds it difficult to return to her school work.

Persona CS
*
Initial Persona: Mademoiselle de Maupin
Source Description: the titular character of Théophile Gautier set of books based on the real life Julie D'Aubigny. An infamous crossdressing minor noble woman who is known as a capable duellist, rescued her female lover from prison and while on the ran becoming an operatic singer who sang for the sun king of France himself.
Appearance: Has the appearance of tall lithe female. She apears to have long brown curly hair under a black curled brimmed and longed crowned hat with carious red feathers. The rest of her clothing is a mix of male and female 17th century fashion: black petticoat breeches wide enough to almost look like a skirt and falls to about her knees and long dark red stockings under it and black shoes with red bow. In addition, she wears a red shirt with a black frilly corset. She is armed with an ornate rapier.

Specialization: Precision Strikes/Support

*Skill List:
  1. Active - Physical - Strike Hard and True - MInato sing a quick verse making persona seemingly teleport to a target and attack it with a thrust of her rapier. If the strike is brings the target near death the persona does a coup de grâce finishing the opponent.
  2. Passive - Assist - Wake Up Get up Get out there - Whenever a song is song by minato there is a small boost in energy in her companions.
  1. Active - Physical - Look but dont touch - The persona shield her teammates from a physical attack, redirecting it to another object including herself.
  2. Active - Physical - Drop the Gauntlet - Minato sings a particularly insulting song about a target while the persona postures menacingly. The target is either drawn to attack Minato even while attacking the other or is intimidated.
Miscellaneous: Minato's persona special skill is turning songs sang by Minato to reality within the cognitive world.

*Weaknesses: Minato having to sings means that her abilities take longer to cast than most so can be easily interrupted and can be quite helpless if minato is caught of guard. Minato had to limited options for close range combat.

Ultimate Persona: This will be the evolution of your character’s initial Persona, replacing it at some point in the story as a milestone of their character development. Name: Hiraku Namaya

Starting Point: Always sleeping, always not paying attention, always doing something else, and even arriving late in class, he is often forgetful of bringing things like homework to school, and despite his grades being decent, his interest in learning is lacking, often choosing to draw, sleep, or play on his videogame consoles he brings to school. Even in a situation as dire as this, he is still dreaming on...

Arcana:

f28add7f8cf006e75c538585daf9bb91.png

'Look above, and you shall find what you seek.'

UPRIGHT:
Hope, faith, purpose, renewal, spirituality

REVERSED:
Lack of faith, despair, self-trust, disconnection

Age:
Rather young, Hiraku is 16 years old. Although, his stature and personality suggest...Otherwise.

Gender:
'I'm a boy, right...? Oh, yup, totally a boy...Sorrey...Hehe~'

In other words, he's a guy.

Sexuality:
'Girls? I guess they're okay...They always wanna drag their boyfriends to places...I just want someone to snuggle and play games...'

He prefers girls, although doesn't join much interest most of the time.

Personality:
Constantly tired and full of creativity, albeit not outright showing, Hiraku is constantly sleeping, and seems to be dreaming most of the time. At first glance, Hiraku seems like your average Japanese student who doesn't wish to learn-- constantly sleeping in class, and having decent to subpar notes. Hiraku is, however, friendly enough to those he meets, and has a slow, and whisper-like tone when speaking to people. He doesn't quite understand other people, their motivations, and what drives them forward at times, as he believes in the potential of dreams, and the happiness they can bring you, often writing strange, yet well-drawn drawings of his dreams.

His overall personality when not sleeping can be mistaken as an excited child. Often seeing the joy in small things and pretty sights-- and even outright calling people pretty, although not meaning it in a romantic way. He often enjoys giving people presents (mainly his drawings) and receiving them as well-- and playing videogames, although he often falls asleep midway through conversations.

Likes/Dislikes:

Largely enjoying drawing and art, Hiraku deeply enjoys stories and anything related to art. Despite this, he enjoys lazing around, and not doing much, or not even nothing, sometimes even enjoying playing videogames, although he's not as great at playing them as drawing.

He doesn't like thinking of the future and seems to enjoy old memories...

He doesn't like being active but will do so for the sake of his friends.

The sun also seems to bother him, just a bit...

Backstory:

A car crash, a sleeping child.

A lost mother, a crying child awakening from a long slumber.

Dreams and hopes, from days long gone of a lonely child. Trying to remember a face he never remembered.

Always dreaming, always hoping. Always wishing to remember, the days he misses so dearly...

Bond: 0/10...

Physical Appearance:

original.jpg

Constantly with eye blinders for sleep, Hiraku uses headphones alongside them in most places. The headphones are connected to his phone however, allowing him to speak with his friends quickly when he doesn't want to be blinded.

Height:

5'04"

Weight:

65 KG...

Attire/Clothing Style:

The uniform remains mostly the same, although above the jacket of the uniform, he wears another jacket made out of wool to sleep on. It's bigger than him by a bit, and as such, his hands seem to be gone from his body due to how big it is.

Equipment:

Melee:

An oversized painting brush, which he uses the butt of it to attack, and using the other side of it to cast spells and skills. He made it by himself- mostly as a toy.

Ranged:

Pencils. Sharp, sharp pencils he uses as throwing knives.

Sandman

Source Description:

The Sandman is a mythical character in Western and Northern European folklore who puts people to sleep and encourages and inspires beautiful dreams by sprinkling magical sand onto their eyes.

'I'll break that messed up fantasy of yours...'

The sandman acts as a guardian angel of their user, always protecting their dreams and mentality, creating happy memories and destroying any nightmares they can find. Often called 'Dream Hunters', they take many forms, often relating to their user's dreams. Different from his common Shadow Counterparts, Sandman is one above them all, having extreme power, and technically being their 'higher-ups.'

Appearance:

hqdefault.jpg

sandman-morpheus-por-Ken-Lashley.jpg

Skill List:

[Passive] - [Wind] - [Sandworld]:
Sandman gives Hiraku many abilities, most commonly, the ability to control his dreams. Being able to have lucid dreams, Hiraku can often delve into his memories and control them, as well as mildly control other people's dreams in the real world by whispering in their ears.

In the Shadow World, when a shadow is asleep, he can do the same, to change their personality momentarily when talking to them, but only if they were hit with Sleep Dust.

[Active] - [Wind] - [Garu]

Light wind attack infused with sand.

[Active] - [Wind/Sand] - [Dormina]

Wind attack infused with sand, but instead of making the foe get hurt, they fall asleep.

Miscellaneous:

Utilizing a horn for combat, by blowing into it, Sandman can control the sand around its body, as well as generate it, making it come from the horn itself to protect the user or make attacks. Generally, Sandman is seen around Hiraku, protecting him from attacks with his sand, acting as a shield. He also seems to have more control, as often in battle, Hiraku is seen asleep. He seems to possess decent amounts of intelligence and sentience.

Weaknesses:

Fire, while not his weakness, works well to make Sandman slow down a bit, and to affect Hiraku. Water, however, is his true weakness, making Sandman get stunned for a turn, due to the water properly solidifying him due to his sandy existence.

Ultimate Persona:

I WAS...ALREADY HERE.
I NEVER LEFT YOUR SIDE...

DO NOT LET THE MOONLIGHT'S GAZE SCARE YOU, CHILD...
YOUR DREAMS ARE FOREVER PROTECTED.

Source Description:

The god of dreams in Greek Mythology. The son of Hipnos, the god of sleep, Morpheus can assume any appearance. Extremely powerful, Morpheus is a full-blown god, who resides within the dreams of a dreamer...

Skill List:

Shapeshift - Morpheus is able to take the form of any Shadow through the power of illusions, often to confuse them.

Illusion - Powerful Illusions are created by bordering reality and dreams. Objects of almost any kind can be created, physical, but not as strong as the original. These illusions are temporary, and weapons usually break after a few uses against the enemy. Non-physical illusions can be used any time, however.

Dream Control - By making the Shadows fall asleep, Morpheus can control their dreams, affecting their moods completely, making them happier, sadder, or more willing to work with the party.

Immunity - Morpheus is completely immune to sleep based attacks, or other similar status effects such as Charmed, and others.

Dream Blade - A blade forged out of pure dream energy. It causes massive Almighty damage to a single enemy.

Power Nap - Morpheus can make his companions fall asleep momentarily, before instantly waking up with buffs to their attack, defense, or otherwise.

Dorima - Affects all enemies. High Chance of falling asleep. Does not apply to bosses.

Magarudyne - Heavy Wind attack that affects all enemies.

Miscellaneous:

The most active and sentient of Personas, Morpheus often speaks what's on his mind and is great at analyzing others and what they think. However, Hiraku speaks more than him, finally having the confidence and energy to do so, after Morpheus awakened. An extremely powerful Persona, Morpheus hates the night and the moon, hence why he created dreams-- to make humanity escape the sad fate awaiting them from above...To save them from Death the Almighty, even if he couldn't defeat it, or do anything related to it to stop the moon's reign.

Weaknesses:

Heavy Attacks, Curse-based Attacks, due to them trying to 'awaken' and 'corrupt' the dream.

Name: Kuwahara, Yuzuki (桑原愉月)

*Starting Point: Yuzuki got in a fight with another student

*Arcana: Death

*Age: 16

*Gender: Female

*Personality: Yuzuki tends to seem tense and on-edge. She’s polite, and she tries to be kind towards others, but she’s somewhat short-tempered, although she bottles up her anger and other negative emotions. She has very low self-esteem.

Likes/Dislikes: Her favourite foods are soba noodles and daikon radishes. She enjoys art like painting and drawing, and she plans on joining the school’s Art Club. She’s scared of dogs, and is nervous around most small animals and children.

*Backstory:

Yuzuki's honestly had a pretty rough life. She had a twin sister who, because of the circumstances within the womb, had a faulty heart that put her in the hospital at a young age. Meika ended up dying in the hospital at age 12 while waiting for a transplant.

To pay for medical bills, their mom went to work, and they both ended up neglected because of how busy their parents were. However, beyond that, the parents rarely visited Meika in the hospital unless they had to pick Yuzuki up when she'd visit. The doctors and nurses always treated them well.

Their mom got some really bad parenting advice that she internalised, and didn't notice the negative effects t was having on Yuzuki; stuff like, "if your kid is having a tantrum, you should just ignore them because if you give them attention, they'll just keep repeating the behaviour", and "don't praise your kid because they'll get lazy and big-headed and won't strive to improve and will just keep doing the same thing that got them praise". So Yuzuki struggles with feeling like no matter how hard she tries it'll never be enough, but she also started considering a lack of criticism to be the same as being praised.

After Meika died, their mom left work and started staying home again. But she couldn't handle the grief, and descended into alcoholism, and began taking things out on Yuzuki. The household became violent, with her parents attacking both each other, and her. Luckily, one of her teachers in middle-school started picking up that there was a problem, and before she started high-school, her parents lost custody of her.

She spent a year living with a relative, but because of various circumstances, she’s recently moved into an orphanage in Kayatomi in time to transfer in right at the beginning of second year. The massive changes in her life are a struggle for her to deal with.

Yuzuki has a lot of anger issues; pent up aggressive urges that she doesn't know how to handle. She has taken it out on others before, lashing out at people. When she was still in middle-school, she even started beating up a dog she found wandering around; she did this multiple times, until the dog bit her hard enough that she needed stitches.

Yuzuki is trying to get past her parents' treatment, even if she thinks that it's impossible for her. She tries to be gentle, but in the end, she feels like it's a lie that she telling.

‘A dog's child is a dog, after all.’ is a saying she feels deeply.

*Physical Appearance:

Yuzuki is noticeably scrawny, and while she’s not physically strong, she’s surprisingly agile and quick on her feet. She has shoulder-length black hair, and she normally has a red ribbon tied into it, even when she doesn’t tie it up into something like a side-ponytail. He bangs are a little messy, and she brushes them off to the side. She has small scars on her left hand from a dog bite.

Height: 5’1”

Weight: 48 kg

Attire/Clothing Style: Yuzuki doesn’t alter her uniform in any way. She’s not fashion conscious at all. She just wears whatever clothes she has and doesn’t worry about buying anything new unless something vital has worn out.

*Equipment: Naginatas

Persona CS

*Initial Persona: Odile

Source Description: A minor character from the ballet Swan Lake, Odile is the daughter of the villainous sorcerer Rothbart (who was the one to curse the princess Odette into the form of a swan). Odile is in training to become a sorceress as well, but her role in the ballet is to impersonate Odette at Prince Siegfried’s ball, and to trick him into confessing his love to the wrong woman, dooming Odette to be a swan forever.

Appearance:

Odile takes the appearance of a woman covered from the neck down in black feathers that spread out from the waist into the shape of a tutu. Instead of arms, she has massive wings that, depending on the angle of the light, seem to look more owl than swan. She has the legs of a wolfish beast. Her face is completely blank except for mask-like markings where her eyes should be, and her hair is completely tied back in a tight bun.

*Skill List:
Specialization: Mirror -

Passive - Non-Elemental - Swan's Guise: Odile's wings enclose her, when they open again, she's taken the form of one of the enemy Shadows and copied one of its skills

Active- Non-Elemental - Feather Shield: Odile's Wings reform, which she uses to guard one target from harm

*Weaknesses: Odile is specifically weak to ice skills and takes extra damage from them.

Fuyoku, Kaida

Kaida Edit.jpg
Basics
Starting Point: Caught ditching school.
Arcana: Devil
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bisexual

Appearance
Height: 5’9
Weight: 135lbs
Attire/Clothing Style: Kaida wears her red jacket with everything. Adorned with patches such as different coloured stars, a rose, the number ‘15’ (a sneaky reference), and so forth. For the uniform, she doesn’t wear the vest and the ribbon is absent, but she wears the black-and-white knee length pinstripe skirt and leggings with them. She also wears the red, blue, and white trainers as shown above.

As for outside of school, she again wears the red jacket, a casual white tee with red and yellow lining around the sleeves and the collar, and often switches between the yellow shorts shown above, or dark ripped denim jeans. Trainers remain a must for all outfits.

Personality

Kaida is primarily known as the ‘tough-girl’ in and around Nageku High, partly because of her interest and notoriety in boxing, and mostly for her less than savoury personality. She can be aggressive, crass, and rude to her peers, and is known to be rather short-tempered. She’s been known to talk back to the likes of her teachers and has a fierce attitude, one that her father and teachers find difficult to curb. She claims that she ‘can’t help it’, though, most assume that she simply can’t be helped or that she isn’t trying hard enough to be less unruly. In saying that, she takes those aspects of her personality and works it into her boxing, which she enjoys and puts a lot of effort into. If only she was so calm and diligent with her schoolwork.

Funnily enough, underneath such a mean and crass exterior, there are loveable aspects under the girl. Kaida, for one, is an immense glutton. She is the ‘you gonna eat that?’ gal, and will never turn down seconds. She’ll complain about the diet implemented by her coach and often fails to stop indulging herself in some delicious beef bowls or seafood especially. She makes the excuse that she’ll run an extra mile to work it off the next day, or spend an extra hour at the gym. If Kaida hadn’t the sport to keep her in check, she’d be rolling around Kayatomi, no doubt.

Kaida, though her emotions seem terribly unhinged and unmanaged, does take the time to write about feelings, what's happened throughout the day, and other forms of topics in a diary, suggested by her current therapist. She thought it was stupid - and still claims it's stupid - but keeps constant tabs on it and still is tempted to write in it each day. She'd never admit it she secretly enjoys it. Plus, it's not studying, not if you enjoy it.

Biography
Kaida was originally born in Tokyo, Japan, to young parents Eiichi and Ayama Fuyoku. She was often told she was ‘lucky’ to have two parents. Kaida's mother, Ayama, wasn’t long out of university, and Eiichi was still in veterinary school, when they found out she was having her, and so quickly married. The daughter wondered if that was true, given a number of circumstances that popped up later in life. Relationship dynamics began to shift between her parents when she was in her last year of elementary school. Ayama had started to emotionally and psychologically abuse Eiichi- constantly criticising him or threatening to take Kaida and leave him. Even if Kaida's father himself decided to leave, especially with his daughter, her mother would have stolen his keys and hid them, or constantly apologised and convinced him into staying. It was a closely guarded secret within the family unit for quite some time - until Kaida let it slip in her second year of middle school.

A stifling, chaotic year followed. Some details she remembers, such as her mother being arrested at their family home, insisting there were no problems, to eventual outrage that she was accused of such things. Of course, there were the distressing court cases, the legal terms being thrown about, councillors and therapists associating themselves with her and her father - either together or seperately - and for awhile Kaida seemed quite numb to the process. Eventually, it was settled that Eiichi would take full custody of their daughter and Ayama was arrested and charged. Eiichi grew uncomfortable remaining in Tokyo, where everyone seemed to know everything about what was going on, and he decided to relocate to Kayatomi, where he managed to secure a job as one of the vets in town and got Kaida enrolled into Nageku High School for her first year.

Happily ever after, job done, turn the page, forget about it, right? Not quite. It seemed the trauma of the past few years had finally begun to sink in for Kaida. It started with her dyeing her hair, getting a little lippy...and she got her what pierced? But, oh well, teenagers, right? Then she started skipping school. And talking back to teachers. And getting aggressive and crass with other students. Eiichi didn’t have much bother with her at home - unless he tried to bring up the subject of her conduct - but he was always getting phone calls and warnings from the school about her. She was, and still has been, walking a thin and treacherous line. She still goes to multiple therapist appointments and she even started to take up boxing as a way of maybe curbing her attitude - but she still continues to act up. Let’s hope this is just a phase, right…?

PERSONA: MARY SHELLEY

Source Description

Mary Shelley was a 19th Century English novelist most famously known for writing the Gothic novel Frankenstein as well as editing and promoting the poetry works of her husband, Percy Bysshe Shelley. Kaida and her Persona's character crossover in a few ways. Shelley's turbulent relationship with her stepmother after her father remarried is reminiscent of Kaida's own strained relationship with her mother, whom she refuses to remain in contact with. Another way the two correlate is through Kaida's own writing experience in which she keeps a diary. She wouldn't pin herself as a Shelley or novelist in any other manner, and she doesn't want to either.

Appearance

Shelley’s design is something of a nightmarish mismatch of both mechanical and human body parts. Beginning with her face, it is painted entirely white, and by contrast her eyes are entirely black, with black lines stretching from her eyes right to the sides of her face. Over her lips is a thick strip of silver tape, with the bold black kanji 注意 (caution). She has mid length, wavy black hair, with wisps of white travelling through it, that floats behind her. Moving down to her neck, she has a number of crimson coloured quills embedded in it, acting as a tulle ruffled collar. On Shelley’s torso is a black laced corset, and a red blouse with sleeves coming to her elbows. We see on Shelley’s right arm a normal human limb, coloured white like her face, and on the other, a silver, skeletal mechanical shell. When we get to both of Shelley’s hands and fingers, they are disproportionately much larger than the rest of Shelley’s body. The palms have a white shelling, whilst the fingers themselves are mostly skeletal with the same silver mechanical shelling found in her left arm - until we reach the fingertips, where she has fountain pen heads as elongated fingertips; sharp, pointed, and coloured silver.

Further down, Shelley wears a silver metallic Crinoline (a hoop underneath a skirt used to shape it) opened with a gap at the front, with spikes jutting around the rest of the skirt. The left leg is a human limb, and the right leg is of a similar mechanical shelling found in the rest of her design. She also wears a pair of red, frilled pantaloons underneath the skirt. Finally, she wears a pair of black ankle boots with small, thick heels, the toes sharply pointed, all laced up.

Skill List

Branding works by drawing the kanji of the required skill you want to take effect. Kaida must make physical contact with an opponent in order for Brand Effect attacks to work, such as by:
  • Physically attacking them - punch, kick, tap ‘em, what have you.
  • Taking an essence from an enemy (i.e. blood as an example). Taking an essence from a Shadow that’s identical to another Shadow(s) allows Kaida to affect both with her brand. (Note: this excludes human opponents).
If performing Brand Effect on allies, physical contact is also needed. A tap is all that’s needed, but it’s also an opportune moment to use personal gestures between Kaida and her teammates - fist bumps, playful shoves, you name it.

[Active] - [Electric] - [Brand Effect: Shock Vine (受蔓)] - Vines appear and climb up the target’s body. They constrict and conduct electricity into the target, shocking them. If anyone outside of the target makes physical contact, they would receive a shock of their own as a result.

[Active] - [Ailment] - [Brand Effect: Melancholy (鬱)] - Those affected by this Brand will be the only ones to see images and hear things that would personally cause them to spiral into a state of gloom and hopelessness. They will have low motivation to perform as eagerly in battle - i.e. won’t perform physical attacks, use spells or items.

Future Skills

More to be added, and in no particular order

[Passive] - [Support] - [Brand Effect: Focus (焦点)]: Taking some of her own blood and marking the kanji on herself, Kaida feels significantly calmer and more focused on the enemies in front of her. When attacked, Kaida, due to a more focused aim on her enemies, will immediately follow through with an attack. The kanji brand and focused effect fades after making her attack.

[Active] - [Support] - [Brand Effect: Faith ()]: Depending on allies Kaida has already made contact with, Shelley will bestow words onto them that expresses hope and conviction in themselves. As a result, they’re quicker to respond to incoming attacks, can hit harder, and have an easier time defending themselves.

Ironically, for not having many Curse skills, Shelley takes more damage from Light/Almighty attacks than any other element. Also has a weakness to ranged attacks.

Name: Jordan Dreyer
Starting Point: Fighting multiple classmates in the middle of class.
Arcana: Strength (Inverted)
Age: 17
DOB: June 12
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual

Personality: Jordan has the image of the standard quiet kid, never goes out of his way to talk to people, most people believe he's just shy or a loner. Jordan harbors a lot of bitterness and repressed anger, on the outside he's cold and detached and like most quiet kids, he has a relatively low tolerance for bullshit. Jordan possesses what most people call silent rage, he's very even and then when someone pushes him over the edge he explodes, often violently. Despite his Anti social tendencies, Jordan realizes that the way he lives and thinks is wrong. He gets pretty emotional when he's alone often shutting off from people and trying to repress them like always. He uses music as an outlet for his emotions. Jordan is obsessed with proving that he's the strongest in a group, leading to his obsessive physical regimen and emotional detachment. This fixation on dominance also spawned his violent streak of fighting to prove that HE is the best.

Likes: +Fighting +Physical activity +Playing guitar +Singing +Video games
Dislikes: -People he isn't used to -People who diss his music -Boring subjects -J pop

Backstory: Jordan was born in America on the east coast, his parents were loving and he was in the middle class, he did relatively well in school, until the bullying started. It started innocently enough in 5th grade for him, practical jokes and pranks. But it turned into ostracism and rumors later. He didn't tell his parents or any teachers about what was happening, his classmates would've won if he had did that, his anger and sadness warped him and he started to become more withdrawn and unfeeling through grade school and middle school. Jordan had been training in martial arts that year and he continued to train at gyms and at home almost daily, on the first day of his freshman year in high school he finally was able to release the feelings he had been keeping inside in the form of fighting the people who had targeted him through middle school. Retribution felt good, he wasn't the victim anymore it was worth the suspension, he thought that people would finally stop treating him like a joke, he would finally make friends, but it backfired on him. People were scared after seeing how effortlessly he took on multiple people and now his classmates were afraid that they were next. The bullying stopped, but now he was being avoided by almost everyone in his grade, he started to listen to darker music and eventually picked up a guitar and learned to play pretty well. He found friends in the other kids who were outcasts among their peers. His attitude didn't get better though, he was always in a foul mood and started to pull back from his family.

When he was in his sophomore year, his father received an offer to relocate to the company's Japanese branch for a hefty bonus, although he didn't want to leave his family, they needed the money. Jordan's father offered to bring him along with him. Believing a change of scenery would be good for him. His mother resisted the idea, but after enough convincing she allowed it.

Physical Appearance:
Screenshot_20201129-054146_Gallery.jpg

Height: 6'0" ft.

Weight: 197 lbs.

Attire/Clothing Style: Jordan usually wears a zip up sweatshirt over his vest and uniform shirt. Outside of school he mostly wears simplistic clothes like T shirts, jeans, and sweatshirts. He doesn't show off his considerable physique and only wears more revealing clothes at the gym or when playing a gig.

Equipment:
Bare knuckles: Exactly what it sounds like.

Jackson X Series Dinky Arch Top DAKF7 MS 7-String: Jordan's guitar and possibly one of his most prized possessions, it is painstakingly well kept and one way to anger Jordan to the extreme is mess with it.

Persona CS:

Initial persona:
Wolf Larsen

Source Description: The main antagonist of Jack London's novel, The Sea Wolf, Larsen possesses a sharp mind as well as high physical strength. Larsen's morals however were extremely twisted, rejecting ideas of good in the world, only believing life existed to feel the pleasures of the world and nothing more. Although not explicitly stated he shows many of the qualities of a sociopath. Larsen also showed character weakness when he lamented his realized lack of faith in anything besides the physical world and died alone and unfulfilled in the end.

Appearance:
Larsen appears human covered head to toe in jet black articulated plate armor with a wolf's head helmet. The figure is not overly large but its appearance is imposing enough. Darkness seems to leak from the articulated points in the armor. Malignant red light filters out of the 'eye slits' of the wolf's head helmet. Larsen wields a large sword as his main physical weapon.

Larsen's body is covered in a spiderweb of cracks, the cracks remaining dull until Rage begins to be channeled, it begins to resonate a baleful red glow which increases in strength as the wielders anger is magnified. Larsen's sword is a rough imitation of the the word, comprising of a handle and a large primitive blade hammered into a fine point as well as a second edge. The sword is much longer that Larsen himself, as well as having the same untended state as his body, cracks and stains running along the blade.

A tattered and beaten cloak is anchored into Larsen's back that is stained with the same faded red ichor as the blade. The full gray color as well as texture of the fabric is reminiscent of a sailing ships main sail.

Skill List:
Active - dark - Shadow Strike: Wolf lashes out with a sword slash, sending a dark wave of energy hurling towards an enemy that will curse them. After the initial damage is done the curse will wither and weaken them after the attack.

Active - Physical - Maiming strike: Larsen uses his great sword to attack an enemy, instead of going for outright damage he instead attacks the vulnerable area's to destroy his target slowly and methodically.

Weaknesses:
Larsen has a weakness to light magic and also relatively low defense against ranged attacks.

The Justice Arcana

Appearance:
Height: 5' 9" (175.26 cm)
Weight: 158 lbs.(71.7 kg)
Though his hair was originally black and cut short, since getting into high school Kenzo has been dying it a deep, ocean blue color similar to the color of his eyes, and allowing it to grow out to the point he can reasonably put it up in a ponytail, or even braid it. His eyes are lidded and heavy, with bags under them that he swears are hereditary. His mouth is small and he has pursed lips, and his chin is rather sharp. His build is athletic, with a more lither body with toned muscles from doing sports for the last few years. His shoulders aren't terribly borad, and he normally slumps them, making him seem smaller than he really is.

Starting Point:
Caught stealing another student's property.

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Personality:
Stoic yet passionate, Kenzo's face is well known by most of the residents of Kayatomi, be it in school or out in the town. It isn't rare to see him jumping out from nowhere to help someone, be it something as simple as pulling balloons out of a tree's low-hanging branches to lifting heavy boxes in the market district for those setting up their vendors. He has earned himself the nickname "Kayatomi's Helping Hand" by the adults, but more commonly he is called "Kayatomi's A**kisser" by his fellow students at Nageku High. However, he cares little for what others think, just enjoying being useful to others. Of course, there are quite a few people who take advantage of his giving personality. Sometimes this gets him in trouble, and despite his best attempts, sometimes his voice falls on deaf ears, which at that point he will just graciously accept whatever punishment is dished out to him.

Despite his desire to help as many people as he can, Kenzo isn't a complete fool. He understands when some things are just plain old impossible, and he will find the best way to go about a problem resulting in the least amount of consequences for himself. He is strict and ritualistic with his schedule, doing his best to put his obligations and responsibilities before anything else, dropping whatever he is doing to make sure he completes what he needs to. His punctuality has earned him praise from most of the teachers at his school, and once someone understands his schedule, it isn't hard to find him, as he is either at school, at baseball practice, or at home studying at specific times.

While Kenzo goes out of his way to help others, he isn't as open as most people think. He keeps mostly to himself if he can help it, though he doesn't push others away, as he believes it to be rude. However, he doesn't go out of his way to talk to people he doesn't know well enough if they don't need his help with anything. His silent demeanor has resulted in quite a few number of scares on other members of the student body, making almost no noise as he walks the halls. He has been roped into his fair share of haunted houses at culture festivals and the like. If others try to pry into his life, he is quick to dodge and redirect questions, keeping it natural while also saving himself the bother of talking about himself. Once his outer shell is cracked, though, he begins to open up more, cracking jokes and showing off more excitement over his interests.

Deep down inside of him, Kenzo believes that he needs to improve himself, and prove that he is important to someone or something. When he becomes involved in an activity or becomes prominent in a person's life, he believes he needs to give 110% of himself to it, sometimes being somewhat aggressive. This is usually a fatal flaw, as he pushes others away with his desperation to prove himself. Of course he understands something can be impossible, but that doesn't stop him from trying to do them at least once, so he can say he at least tried to make others happy. His deep insecurity about himself has been the cause of stress-related illnesses, though he even tries to push past those and keep himself on the good sides of others, not even realizing he's doing it at times.

Backstory:
Kenzo was born and raised on the island of Kayatomi, living with his father and mother and his paternal grandmother, Karen. The Honda household was well known due to their history of the father's being members of the police force, with Kenzo's father, Shunjiro, being no different from his father before him. His mother, Mio, helped his grandmother run her florist's shop in the marketplace, with Kenzo helping quite often as well to earn an allowance. While Kenzo spent most of his time with his mother and grandmother, he would spend any time he was given with his father, sometimes even joining him while he was on the clock. He enjoyed seeing his father help the other residents, and looked up to him with pride, wanting to one day also be a police officer and help the public.

When Kenzo got into middle school, things began to change. His first few years, while he was generally liked for his optimistic and go-to attitude, was the target of most of the bullies due to his father being a police officer, who would regularly catch them causing mischief. Taking their frustrations out on Kenzo, they began to wear him down to the point that he began to hide his emotions more and more, shrinking himself in the halls to try and escape the gazes of others. His parents found out what was going on, and Shunjiro made sure to assist the teachers with cracking down on cases of bullying. However, this just made Kenzo a bigger target, and he began to feel annoyance with his doting father.

One day, after arguing with his father about his involvement at his school, the two of them decided to try and make up, with Shunjiro bringing Kenzo along on a patrol so they could spend some time together. Kenzo was able to see more of the police station, rode on a police motorbike, and was given his father's old badge that had been scratched up over the years. Towards the end of the night, Shunjiro sent Kenzo into a general store to buy the two of them ice cream while he took a chance to smoke outside. While Kenzo was inside, a disturbed man came up begging Shunjiro for help, before drawing a knife and stabbing him twice in the stomach. Kenzo came out of the store just as the incident happened, witnessing it as the man ran off. He tried his bes tto stop the bleeding as the store owner called for an ambulance. Kenzo rode with his father to the medical center, talking to him the whole way, and was reunited with his mother once they arrived.

Despite the doctor's best efforts, Shunjiro passed the next morning surrounded by his family with a smile on his face.

Thus began Kenzo's downward spiral. He became much more aggressive to others around him, getting into scuffles with kids from school or insulting adults. His biggest trigger was when people would exude pity for him, typically followed by him flying into a rage. Mio was unable to handle him on her own, and Karen tried her best to take care of the both of them in the wake of her son's death. Mio was given advice from the officers of Kayatomi and, at the beginning of his second half of his final year in middle school, Kenzo and Mio moved away.

Eventually, the two of them returned to Kayatomi. Kenzo had changed, now much more reserved than before, his previously aggressive tendencies replaced with a willingness to help others without hesitation. Mio had enrolled herself and Kenzo in a grief relief therapy program in Tokyo, paid for in part by some of the police officers Shunjiro was close to. Mio was more or less her usual friendly self again, though Kenzo was more like a statue, with little life left in him. He distanced himself from most people if he could help it for his first year back. Now a high school student, Kenzo tried his best to fit back in as best he could, utilizing his new growth spurt by joining the baseball club and becoming one of their ace players. He even attempted dating some of his classmates, though over time he gave up on a romantic relationship. One problem he had was his ease of being persuaded by the delinquents into unknowingly doing some of their dirty work, like buying them food or persuading adults into looking the other way for some things, believing some of them wanted to be his true friends. Some teachers held Kenzo in high respect due to his manners and diligence in his studies, while some detested his lack of awareness of his wrongdoings. To them, he was just another delinquent. Which is why, when he was told to go supposedly fetch a bullies bag from the rooftop, he was instead framed for stealing another student's bag that had been taken by someone else and left up there.

Clothing Style:
Kenzo doesn't stray far from the basic school uniform, though he does sometimes wear his baseball jersey over his uniform when it's colder out. Off the school grounds, Kenzo is much more lax in his choice of clothes, usually seen walking around in a simple T-shirt and jeans, with the T-shirts usually saying random phrases in English, and wearing sports sneakers. On particularly hot days, he will switch to tank tops and shorts, and colder weather he will change into long-sleeve shirts and his jersey, along with a black hat to keep his ears warm.

Equipment:
Weapon: A metal baseball bat, but he can make any long, blunt object work if need be.

Persona CS:
Sudden Green
Source Description:
Based on the character James Green, a.k.a "Sudden", from the Sudden novel series from the 1930's. James Green was the main protagonist and hero of the series, a Wild West lawman and gunslinger who was known for being a fast and accurate gunman, his speed being where he earned his nickname. It is implied in the books that he is in search of two men who cheated his father before his father's death, which he eventually resolves by killing them, avenging his father. He never uses a gun unless he absolutely must, believing it to be the fair and right thing to do. In each book of his series, Sudden goes to a town with unlawful elements, typically under different names to work undercover, and rids the town of it's problems before riding off to his next destination.

Appearance:
Sudden Green appears, in basic terms, like your standard American Old West cowboy. It has a lanky body, with it's limbs being much longer than the average person, and it's body rather small compared. Sudden Green wears a long brown duster, constantly covered in sand and dust that falls off of it whenever it moves, with a vest with bandoleer belts underneath it covering it's torso, with a beat-up button-up shirt underneath that. It wears torn wool pants with leather seemingly sewn underneath it, and black Old West boots with spurs on them. It has a cowboy hat that it doesn't wear on it's head, but instead has tied around it's neck leaning against it's back. Instead, over it's head, Sudden Green has a burlap sack with a smile drawn over where it's mouth should be, a cross drawn over it's right eye, and a hole cut out over it's left eye, where underneath there is an eye with two irises. Around it's neck hangs a rope, tied into the shape of a noose, with the end of the rope severed as if it was shot by a bullet, the strands smoking as if just broken. For the "skin" that is shown, it is all black and charred like it was burned, with the ends of it's fingers cracked and emitting a deep red glow. On it's hip it has a dark brown holster, in it sitting an ornate silver and gold revolver.

Specialization:
Gun-based ranged combat.

Skill List:
Active - Non-Elemental - Dekaja Discharge: Kenzo fires a bullet at a target where, on impact, it enters their body and spreads throughout it, nullifying any buffs they have accumulated throughout a fight.
Active - Light - Blessed Bullet: Kenzo takes aim at a target and fires a shining bullet at them. If it makes contact with an enemy, it deals damage on impact and leaves a shining orb of light at the site, causing damage over time to any enemy that enters its range. If it hits an ally, it heals them for a small portion of damage and leaves a shining ball of light that boosts the defensive capabilities they have.

Miscellaneous:
Sudden Green’s Skills are unlike the standard Persona’s skills. Instead of choosing what Skill to use, it uses its skills in the set order they are learned, and cycles through them with each shot. For an example, it will start with Dekaja Discharge with the first shot, and then the following shot will be Blessed Bullet, and then cycle back to Dekaja Discharge for the next bullet with its beginning Skillset. As it learns skills, it adds them onto the string of Skills, so after using Blessed Bullet, then it would cast/fire its new skill, then the cycle would repeat back to Dekaja Discharge. The cycle is stagnant until Kenzo leaves the cognitive world, where the next time he enters the cycle is reset back to beginning with Dekaja Discharge.

Weakness:
Sudden Green has a huge weakness to Fire spells, and a slight weakness to Ice spells as well.

Name: Alex Feron
Starting Point: Damage to school property, second offense
Arcana: XVI - The tower
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Personality: Sweet as can be, although sometimes he does get a bit angry out of nowhere, so watch out for that. He also seems to have a case of split-personality disorder, switching between one personality and the other at random, one being happy, friendly and very apologetic, while the other is violent, brash, and sometimes even murderous with the death threats that come out of this kid. Aside from that, he's always willing to help someone out even if they aren't the nicest of people, as well as focuses hard on his studies so that he can be a well-educated person if he gets out of school.
Likes: Making friends, helping others out, learning
Dislikes: bad people, fights, not being able to help someone out
Backstory: Not a lot is given from Alex's time in the states before he moved to weeb city. the few things you do hear is that why he was there was because he did something terrible at his last school and had to move out of the state, but that isn't true...right? he's been here for about 7 months and has been in detention before and most of the time it's because of his violent side coming out and doing something completely out of his usual act. and here we are now, his third time in detention.
Physical Appearance:
a good(bad) boi.png
Attire/Clothing Style: please refer to FC
Equipment: Syringe gloves:3 fingers are set up with a hallucinogenic drug to confuse the enemy with each stab, meanwhile the other 2 fingers are filled with a healing substance to help with allies, painkillers, now with persona magic!

Persona CS
Initial Persona: Jekyll/hyde
Source Description: The strange case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr hyde
Appearance: A man in clothes that seems to cut down the center, one side has a rugged sort of jacket with a hood, the pant leg has a few tears and holes in it as well his right hand is crooked, in it a dagger, he also has a sneaker that is torn and destroyed, all of this showing Hyde's mischievous and crazy side. The left side has a more refined-looking jacket, as well the pant leg being that of dress pants, wearing a nice dress shoe. His left hand has a clean white glove on it, this side obviously more reflective on Jekyll's calmer side.
Specialization: Mental
Skill List:
[Active] - [Psycho] Madness: With a crazy glare, it will cause the targeted to start hallucinating, hearing things that aren't real, slowly draining its sanity as to cause it to panic
[Active]-[None] Clear mind: If an ally isn't thinking clearly, they are afraid, angry, suicidal, I am here to make sure they stay on target with their goal, so clear their worries away!

Miscellaneous: In his left hand most of the time is a simple pocket watch, while in his right hand there is a dagger that seems stained with blood

Weaknesses: Jekyll/Hyde is not the most durable, definitely can take fewer hits then other personas, as well sometimes one side dominates the other more than how actions will either be done calmly or wildly, which can become really damaging in a time for precision

*Starting Point: --

*Arcana: Aeon Arcana

*Age: 14 (physically)

*Gender: Non binary

Sexuality: Unclear

*Personality: Bright and protective, yet clingy and mischievous--truly like a child. While they're on their little quest of searching (read: remembering) for their true purpose in this world, they don't like an all-too tame, and boring adventure--they like fun. So, expect for them to be found either grinning and poking fun at you, or asking you to play with them. And expect for them to be trying to turn your smile upside down with all of their might, even to the point it annoys you. For once Ameko is determined for something, they'll do almost every way to be able to grasp their hands on it.

*Backstory: Under the thundering, gray sky, as droplets of water came hitting the land, the water--everything they can reach, inside of a room in a Japanese traditional-looking house was a group of five kids that were taking shelter from the glaring rain. They were chatting, playing; grinning as they waited for Mr. Sun to come back to the surface once more with a smile. Once it did, however, the one that left the room was a lonesome middle-aged man instead, with no one following him behind. Basked lightly with blood, he ran with head hung low. Inside of the room that man left behind was a gigantic teru teru bozu. Wrapped around its neck was a thick brown-colored rope, hanging; occasionally swaying a bit due to the wind that came through the window. The doll stared at the clear sky wistfully and with relief, and yet, behind of its blue soulless mirrors, lingered guilt. Underneath it, sprawled across the tatami mat were destructed, unfunctioning body parts.

Ameko is, to put it simply, a personification of the tragedy above, one that happened years ago. While most of the people have forgotten about it, some are still kept hostage by the wound scarring their minds. Of course, the grimmer, scarier of a memory lasts longer than that of the happy one. And yet, however scary, nasty, wounding it is, the one called memory is able to be erased still. And due to that, while Ameko is still able to keep their presence around and in one piece to this day, they partially forget the reason (and a fatal one, to be frank) of their manifestation. "What is it that must be done here?" or "What must I do here?" they often ask and wonder, all the while exploring the hazard-looking vast room they're in, or also known as "cognitive world".

*Physical Appearance: With one glance, most would assume that Ameko is a girl due to their feminine face and slender figure. Even so, it's noticeable that their torso and voice belong to that of a boy. Adorning their pale face is a pair of blue eyes with an orange hair framing their head. Beneath the clothes they wear, lay hidden, is the scars they bring with them. And once one lays their sight on them, there will be no logic to explain on how they're still able to keep on living with those holes and gushes (and stitches).
Untitled422-2.jpg

Height: 5'2"
Weight: 36 kg
Attire/Clothing Style: Ameko wears a piece of sleeveless turtle-neck under a see-through, colorless raincoat adorned with two teru teru bozus. They also wear a pair of gloves, kept in place with a bracelet wrapped around each of their wrists. Hanging from them (the bracelets) are two teru teru bozu dolls. Wrapping and enveloping their feet with warmth is a pair of rain boots. They also bring a clear umbrella with them, though it's rarely used--let alone opened.

*Equipment:
Weapon - Umbrella.
Utility - A piece of white cloth with the size of 3 x 3 meters with a thick long rope.

[/div] [div class=tabcontent2 style=display:none]
*Initial Persona: "Anne Frank"

Source Description: The "Anne Frank" that manifests based on the diaries written by her very self--The Diary of A Young Girl. Composed of Anne's curious, innocent yet blunt thoughts and demeanor spilled across the papers, The Diary of A Young Girl had gained so many hearts of people. The books that brought light upon darkness. They -the diaries- were ones of the things left behind. And through Miep Gies and Otto Frank, the stories inside were tellable--even to this day.

Appearance: "Anne Frank" appears in a form of a book enveloped with antiquity: patched covers, yellow papers, even the sweet, musky scent that usually wafts from those old publishings. Despite the appearance, however, "Anne" releases a sturdy silver chain that binds herself to her host firmly, and at the same time keeping the diary from opening and falling.

*Skill List:
[Active] [Non-elemental] [Annex] - Anne loosens the cain slightly and shoots out a copy of a certain page that's able to conceal the presence of they who hold onto it. A copy always lasts for 30 minutes. However, should the copy need to be torn to share its effect with other person--the period will be divided by the amount of pieces the copy has been disassembled into. The effect starts after a brief chant of "Begin" in Deutsch.

[Passive] [Physical] [Emergency Headstart] - Should the enemy discovers Ameko while they're in the state of concealing their presence, "Anne" will immediately loosens the chain and enlarges herself, before then deflating the mobility of the "intruder" into none temporarily. Can only works when Ameko is within a feet from the "intruder", and that "intruder" must be singular or alone.

Miscellaneous: "Anne", having spent her time hiding with her family and others, carries out a set of skills that focuses on, what people would call, "preventing a confrontation" and "desperate measures".

*Weaknesses: Every of her offensive performances are specified for a singular, thus when faced with a gazillion of enemies, the damage will deal almost nothing on them.

Soleil Ashikaga
SOLEIL 足利

1583611675447.png1583611675447.pngStarting Point: Found leaving grounds during school hours.
Arcana: Lovers Arcana
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bisexual
Personality:
There is the Soleil Ashikaga most know.
This Soleil Ashikaga is well-known for the way she charms those around her. Her smile could catch anybody's attention, and her gaze is enough to make a person's heart pound. Though she doesn't make efforts to go around, Soleil is still the subject of daydreams for both boy and girl alike in Nageku High. When approaching her, she's as friendly as she is alluring. Happy to help with under or higher classmates, you can find her helping out around school with a variety of areas, ready to offer assistance. Some think this is all a farce, but even they can't deny having only positive interactions with her. Soleil Ashikaga is known for being both intelligent and captivating, and yet...if you were to find her out of class or school, she's always alone.

There is the real Soleil Ashikaga.
At heart, she's a hypocrite. Soleil despises those who are two-faced; those who pretend to care, when all that matters is the materialistic. Those who think they know her, those who act like they really care. Soleil's disgusted by this—but yet, Soleil feels as if she has no choice but to meet the image these people have of her. It's as if she's always suffocating underneath the expectations of others to her, always conforming to another person's standards. Underneath her mask and walls however, lays someone...vulnerable, more than anything else. While she's scared to let people come close, she's clingy when they do; they push others away, but hopes that someone will close the distance. Soleil is a truthfully very warm individual, even more tender than her image. Soleil herself holds the genuine experiences she has with others as the most valuable thing to her. For all of the the honeyed words, the expensive gifts, and anything else...all she could want is someone to truly be close with.
But that all lays past the distance between her and others, and beneath the mask of the fake Soleil Ashikaga. A distance never crossed.
With each day that passes with Soleil hiding her real self once more, each day of faking a smile, a bitter part of her grows. A bitter, immature desire to just stop caring; to go wild with her own desires, to be herself and to stop having to care for others, no matter the consequences. Soleil represses this desire, but with each day it becomes more tempting. For now, she'll maintain the status quo...even if she's unsure for how long.

1583611753959.png
Physical Appearance: She stands at 5'7, but her hat makes it seem like 5'8. Everything about her is well-kept: her skin is soft and clear, her hair is always brushed and smooth, and she seems to never have an off day. She's light, weighing only 122 lbs / 55.3 kg. Her uniform is modified: she wears it without the vest, and has a long black ribbon. She wears tights that cover most of her legs and run under her skirt, and is always seen wearing her hat (a gift from her father). Outside of school, she's seen wearing the outfit pictured.
Equipment: Soleil wields a regular snake whip as a weapon.

Backstory:
Soleil Ashikaga, for as long as she could remember, has been under a spotlight she never asked for.
Couple to a well-known Japanese actor and French director, her birth was at once a high point in both's careers and lives. But because of the nature of these exact careers...neither of her parents could be around Soleil for too long. This didn't mean they didn't love her, or that they didn't have a presence in her life. But as Soleil grew older, they grew more distant. More busy. More...absent. Soleil didn't (and doesn't) hate either of her parents, but she grew to hold disdain for the film industry that was always drawing them away. From a young age, Soleil would get used to the feeling of isolation—a sole constant in her life.

Naturally, all sorts of acting teachers and programs began to turn their eyes to her as she drew of age. Soleil wanted nothing to do with them—with these people she didn't know, with the industry that stole her parents away—but it was no use. They pressed and pressed, and eventually her parents relented. From the very beginning, Soleil was uncomfortable. Uncomfortable being watched, even then able to feel the expectations for her. But it taught her how to hide those same emotions: Soleil learned how to hide away her disdain for it all, and she slowly got better at it. Soleil slowly grew an image for herself: hardworking, innocent, and sweet. A natural talent for acting! Even if Soleil never grew to like it...it was what her parents wanted, after all. It was to just make her parents happy. Part of her though it would make them spend more time with her. That if she could become part of the industry they spent so much time in, that she could spend it with them! This desire to maybe, just maybe, be with her parents more led to what Soleil regards as her greatest mistake.
For the first time, Soleil Ashikaga would star in a movie. It was a drama her father directed himself, working alongside her mother. It was her dream—it was all she could've asked for! It would be one of the few times Soleil came to truly enjoy acting, and the movie would be highly received. But the movie's success would solidify her presence in the industry. Soleil had unwittingly placed herself in a spotlight that would refuse to leave in the years to come.

As Soleil grew to middle-school age, so did the attention on her. The industry wouldn't allow her to work with her parents; that they were doing something "too important" for an inexperienced actor like her to star in. But yet, they still wanted more and more from her. They wanted the Soleil Ashikaga who seemingly was born into the industry; the Soleil Ashikaga who was growing to become more beautiful as the years passed by. Advertisements, dramas, shows—she was little more than an object up for claims, just so she could be put on their podium for their benefit. Soleil Ashikaga was just a pretty face and a respected name to use, then throw away. In this time, Soleil came to unhealthily rely on her mask: a fake Soleil Ashikaga that was a realization of this ideal her. A Soleil Ashikaga that loved acting but valued her studies. Who was a charming young girl, but a growing beauty. Of course, this only added to the pressure of being sought after, but it was fine: It kept everybody around her at an arm's distance, keeping them from getting to close. It would allow her to, in a situation where she was by herself, without friends and without family, to do something for herself. To manipulate their attentions so that maybe, just maybe, she could wring herself out of the spotlight that confined her.

At first, the manipulation was only to turn the suffocating attention away from her without ruining her and her family's image. It was just that, and nothing more. But...it was simply too tempting to not go deeper. To not twist it into something else, to something more. It turned into a retribution against all of those who chased after her with only ulterior motives and superficial desires—to the industry that always placed their own standards, their own image of her onto her. It was a chance to do something for herself, to use these people who deserved it! If they would act her friend to use her for themselves, she could do the same! And so Soleil fell into a slippery slope of manipulation. Luring people in with a warm smile. A soft giggle at their jokes. A bashful blush, accompanied with the aversion of the eyes. "Maybe if I get enough money, they can come home for a little while longer. After this, I'll stop." she would rationalize it. Soleil understood what she was dong was wrong, but...she simply couldn't stop. It was corruptive. It was good, it was satisfying, but it was wrong. And in the meantime, the attention on her grew. It grew, it suffocated her, it drowned her in their own wants. Bitterness festered inside of her against both herself and the industry as a whole—pressure to star again built up and got more and more demanding—guilt continued to pile up, but Soleil couldn't stop!—She had to stop, she couldn't stop, she had to act, she couldn't stand to act, she hated the whole situation but it was inescapableshe couldn't take it anymoreshe wanted it to stop—STOP!—

Soleil, upon entering her first year of high school, suffered a nervous breakdown as the pressure became too much.
Her parents were blissfully unaware of her situation, and nobody was close enough to her to tell what had happened. No friends, no family. With nothing else to do, they would take matters into their own hands. They would send her to one of Japan's calmer and smaller locations, separated from the stress of the her previous life and cut off from the acting industry. A change of pace to help her to whatever it was she was dealing with. In Kayatomi, Soleil Ashikaga continues to wear a mask. Even now, she lives underneath the new attention of the rest of her school, now meeting their image and expectations of her. Still, she is alone. But maybe, just maybe, things would change...

But how many times has she thought that?

Likes & Dislikes:
+ Anything escapism. This mainly takes on with books, with romance being a favorite of hers.
+ Watching her parent's movies.
+ Physical comfort by friends.
- Interacting too much with strangers, especially people who act overfriendly.
- Being recorded or photographed by others.
- Herself, to a large extent.

Extra:
  • She doesn't actually speak French, but knows a few phrases in order to convince others she does.
  • The last time she starred in anything was before she entered highschool.
  • Doesn't particularly always follow Japanese honorifics. Does it at her own pace.

Nana Coupeau
Born to a family of abusive and negligent alcoholics, Nana ran away from home at a young age. She would work as a street prostitute for several years, before suddenly being casted in a operetta. From here, Nana grew to become a destructive femme fatale while working as a now high-end prostitute: one man goes to prison after stealing the Army's money for Nana, and his brother stabs himself with scissors in anguish for her; a wealthy banker goes broke trying to please her; another incinerates himself alive after becoming financially ruined; a reporter writes a scathing article about her, but falls for her even so and is similarly ruined financially; and a Count attempts to please her consistently to much humiliation, to find her in bed with his father-in-law. Though she would die a painful death to smallpox, her life consisted of a path of ruin; the flames that make Nana up represent her destructive nature to anybody who affiliated with her. In some ways, Nana represents Soleil's own nature. Both girls found themselves alone, being actors who found themselves chased for their beauty and manipulated this attention for their own benefit. But while Soleil initially only did it to keep others away and eventually felt disgust at herself for going deeper, Nana would willingly ruin others for herself without remorse. A representation of the uncomfortable reality, Nana represents the true extent of what Soleil is capable of, and tempts her frequently to take the next step in her manipulation of others. She's as much as a temptress to Soleil as she was to the men in her life.

"Let thyself be englufed in the flames of passion...burn up with love, and leave naught but ash."
1583611791959.png
Flames make up the entirety of her body, which form the shape of a woman. Loose metal plating is scattered across her body to both "cover" and mostly accentuate her womanly features. These metal plates curve around her body to help bring out this figure rather than sticking out, and create a rather attractive shape of a woman. A complete mask covers the face, looking almost like the face of a real person. It takes the shape of a beautiful woman, glossy lips and beautiful skin. It's eyes are stuck open, but show only a void inside of them (not even displaying the flames underneath her mask). The mask is stuck smiling Nana's signature smile: "The deadly smile of a man-eater." It's voice is that of Soleil's, but significantly more raunchy and damped with a heavy french accent.

Skill List:
{STARTING} [Active] - [Support] - Bordenave: The biggest mark of the "man-eater" , she's capable of removing her beautiful mask to reveal a twisted, grotesque face underneath. By consuming parts of a Shadow or Persona, Nana replenishes her own health and bolsters the effects of her spells.

{STARTING} [Active] - [Support] - Hugon: Nana can force targets to focus on her by having someone else shout "Très chic!". It doesn't impede the attack, but only redirects attacks towards herself. it can't be activated by Soleil herself, the phrase needing an ally to be used.

[Active] - [Ailment] - Fauchery: Nana charms her opponent, which can either temporarily simply confuse or fully convince an opponent to fight for her. She can blow a kiss to make it land, but this is a weaker version with shakier results: a direct kiss from Nana is both a stronger version and has more assured results.

[Active] - [Ailment] - Vandeuvres: Flames distilled from Nana wrap around a limb of the enemy, leaving a phantom pain in the afflicted area. While it does no actual damage, the actual pain caused will leave the limb temporarily disabled until the effect either wears off or is forcefully distilled.

[Passive] - [Healing] - Muffat: The warmth of her flames will replenish the stamina of nearby allies, and slowly heal their injuries. Not as immediately helpful as direct healing, but acts as a constant recovery. Works best for long-term exertions, or defensive fighting. Bolstered by Bordenave.

Miscellaneous: Nana, obviously, is resistant to both mental ailments such as charms and to fire attacks. Strangely enough, Nana gives Soleil a good mastery over the French language.
Weaknesses: She lacks damage output, and is weak to Bless.

Name: Ginjiro Aizawa
銀次朗 相沢
(silver, next, cheerfulness) (Indigo, Swamp)
Starting Point: Ginjiro has been given detention due to skipping class several times in the past few days. Most of the time this has been full days, though he’s also been noted to have shown up for part of the day and then left before classes where assignments are due.
Arcana: Hermit
Age: 17-18
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Gay
Personality: A defining aspect of Ginjiro’s personality is his deep fear of expectations and his hatred of the possibility that he could let someone down. He’s also been trapped in something of a loop by his own cowardice and self-blaming nature, keeping both strangers and loved ones at a distance to avoid negative feedback, feeling like he’s let them down, and thus increasing his efforts to keep them away.

This has eventually resulted in Ginjiro living a reclusive lifestyle, spending most of his time at home, indulging in his hobbies as a way to distract himself from the guilt that constantly plagues him. He goes out of his way to avoid interacting with others, having adopted a cynical view of most people, considering them fountains of expectations.

Deep down, Ginjiro has a deep-seated unhappiness with what he’s become, and feels that he should be more dependable, as he once was, but is consistently held back by his own fear of expectations.

Backstory: Ginjiro was born to a fairly well off family who operate largely in the housing market. The start of his life was easy, and he was recognised as something of a prodigy and was known for being someone that people could depend on. However, this wouldn’t last, as the burden of responsibility and expectations eventually pushed Ginjiro to his breaking point.

The effect was immediately felt by friends and loved ones. His first show of rebellion was dyeing his hair in opposition to his school’s high standards for students’ appearances. He would then continue to act out, either handing in poor work or not handing it in at all, and his free time was spent isolating himself in his room, finding solace in the hobbies he'd so rarely found the time to enjoy while systematically widening the gap between him and those who cared for him by dodging their efforts to contact him.

His family, hoping time away would let him recuperate, have ultimately sent him to stay in the family’s property in Kayatomi, where he has stayed for the past few months, attending Nageku High. Now only time will tell what the future holds for him.

Height: 5’8”
Weight: 135 lbs
Attire/Clothing Style: The outfit in the FC is his casual wear. His headphones can always be found on his person no matter what he wears.
Equipment:
Telescope (Melee): The telescope from Ginjiro’s home. It can extend far further than it should reasonably be able to when in the Underworld, reaching for the stars it’s often used to gaze upon.

Bow (Ranged): Another weapon from Ginjiro’s home. A simple training bow.

Persona CS
Initial Persona: Robinson Crusoe
Source Description: From the book of the same name. Crusoe’s story as a castaway mirrors Ginjiro’s isolation.
Appearance: Crusoe manifests as a large island within the underworld, floating off to the side of the archipelago. Fused to the island is the body of Crusoe, whose long, untamed mess of hair is composed entirely of seaweed. His beard is similarly overgrown and unkempt, but is made of a mess of firewood, sharp and prickly. Crusoe’s body is clad in a mixture of foliage and ship wreckage. The visible parts of Crusoe’s body look inhuman, bent in unnatural ways to shelter the various locations of the island. Namely, a cave, and the wreckage of a ship.

Skill List:
Active - Support - Analysis: Crusoe has the ability to analyse enemies, which can be used to identify elemental weaknesses.

Active - Support - Barrier: This allows Ginjiro to create walls from the terrain around him, which can be used either to limit enemy movement or provide protection from attacks. When Ginjiro creates a new wall, the previous one crumbles back into where it came from.

Active - Support - Subrecover HP/SP: This ability allows Ginjiro to recover a small bit of his allies’ health or energy, and can be activated once during or after a battle.

Active - Support - Telepathy/Projection: Due to Crusoe’s scale making it impossible for him to exist in most spaces, Ginjiro stays on the backline with his Persona, using projection and telepathy to communicate with his teammates.

Miscellaneous: Crusoe is equal parts palace and persona, making him an actual location within the underworld. This has resulted in him being formed at a rather unwieldy size.

Weaknesses: Crusoe’s massive size and composition of palace and persona mean that he has no maneuverability, and cannot be summoned anywhere else by Ginjiro.

Mushi
Erasmus Kwahndin (Nu)

Starting Point: Fighting with another student, breaking into a locker and stealing homework.

Age: 17

D.O.B: June 14

Gender: M

Nicknames
  • Mushi (Moo-sh-i or Mushy); A nickname used by his brothers in school or by specific teachers. Hd won't respond to peers or anyone that is not his senior who uses it.

  • Mu (Moo); Used by his sister, specifically.

  • Nu; Given to him by his father Chakan, it refers to his overall quiet nature and infant tendency to move around without supervision, as well as his odd proclivity to appear out of nowhere.

H | W: 5'11 (180.49 cm) | 163 LBS (73.93 kg)

Appearance: Outside of their different haircuts the triplets all possesses the same eye trait as their great grandfather, a feature called heterochromia. The most perplexing thing however is that they all possess different eye colors, one of the easiest ways to tell them apart if you are paying attention (or if they aren't covering it up). With Erasmus much like Ingram he has a cerulean blue eye but it is on the right, accompanied by two beauty spots along the cheekbone. His other eye is hazel in color. In each ear is a single piercing and a tattoo on their trapeziod muscle.

Style: In public Erasmus wears his signature hoodie most often when found outside although he does wear a variety of clothing that vary in style he can often be seen in jeans of different designs and various types of long or short-sleeve t-shirts. In school he wears the common school shirt but has no vest. In place is the same zip-up light blue hoodie he often favors, along with his pants neatly cleared of any wrinkles with white sneakers and black stripes or vice versa.

  • Personality: Erasmus is in most cases a person driven by determination to push past his limits. He is defiant when challenged in a manner that tests him, yet is reserved in the steps he takes to show it. He is soft spoken and polite, where unlike his siblings who will not hesitate to slap nonsense out of their line of crossing, Erasmus is a tad more likely to put it in a gentler way. This feeds into his patience, is tied to his vast emotional intelligence and is connected to his taciturn nature. Of all his siblings he is the least vocal in social interactions and the long hair that he uses to occasionally cover one eye doesn't help.

This patience, shyness, and often lack of vocal expression paints him as a pushover where if you focus on the nonverbal cues, you can pick up on his true meanings. There is often this concept that circles around him like planets do the Sun, that others tend to speak for him; voicing his thoughts or opinions when he doesn't ask, want, need, desire, or request it. And while this happens a lot more than he truly likes- he allows it to a degree. But only as long as what is being said follows what he's actually saying. Problem is, his brothers unlike him, tend to have trouble follow them and as payback, he often tries to remedy conflicting situations or scenarios that others may attempt to drag him, Elb, Gram or all of the above into. Or at least try to.

    History
Born third from the union of a car dealer and a former teen model Erasmus grew to learn that while his family loved him and understood his health condition, they also were far too protective of him in ways he did not appreciate. This extended to every day life. It started with being home schooled the first two years of what amounted to first and second grade; while his brothers got to go to school he stayed at home with his tutors. Erasmus did not like this. Not one bit. He hated it. Was confused by it. Questioned multiple times in his own head why his brothers got to go to school, while he was made to stay home and the one time he asked he was given the simple answer: "For your own good" said plainly to him in German. Raised in a culture that nurtured discipline and respect of elders, he held his tongue. He was a kid after all and he knew they meant well. So he was silent and did as he was told.

A year went by and at this point Bettina had long been born. It was then his parents allowed him to go to school with his brothers and he was elated. Virtually beamed like the stars his smile did. Life, was looking up, he had told himself. Elbert and Ingram however were concerned for their younger brother and thus began the cycle of him being the sheep protected by hounds after one small push that caused a particular fright when he ended up a bit dizzy and winded. That one push and trip to the school nurse led to months of confinement in school doors. No play time for this ung dreng, for his Hemophilia was a concern and his anemia might get the best of him and make him exhausted before the day was out. Then one day, nine years-old after watching his brothers and classmates play on a sonniger Tag Erasmus decided then and there stuff like this would not keep happening. It was his bane. The source of his displeasure, but he never complained outright because he was smart enough to understand complaining could do nothing. Instead, he talked to his parents, had them talk to the staff, talked to his doctors--

It worked. He got to live just a little bit more. Sports was not something he could actively participate in for any long measure of time with his condition, not at least on the levels most sports went. Football, basketball, soccer, etc, he would never be able to play those no matter how much he exercised- at least never for extended periods. So he settled for martial arts. Not competitively, but for exercise. Things were really looking up.

Then he turned twelve and everything went south for the winter. At 12, morfar, grandfather Frederik, got dragged into a scandal involving money that tied to his deceased father and uncle. It became frequent talk on media, papers and so as things became more unclear the family left Germany for Great Britain. First London then Manchester where they settled. There, it took a couple months of adjusting. English not a first language nor unfamiliar, just not often spoken at least with the kids. The kids learned though, had to when they were scheduled to start school in the upcoming year. It took time with their broken, choppy Engrish even when school started but they managed.

Erasmus found schooling in UK odd but then again, he was glad to be going to school with his siblings. What he wasn't glad about was how he eventually became a target for other students. It began because he was awkward when meeting new people, always had been due to his shyness. His shyness plus his appealing looks along with his twins, was the perfect recipe for drama. Erasmus was teased by those who did not understand his physical condition, for being weak despite being male, and was disliked by a few for attracting the attention of their crushes. Middle school was no better and high school hit its peak. Things only got worse in the freshman year and they peaked at the second. Pranks became more mean, extending not just to Erasmus or his brothers but to their friends now as well. It became toxic when old faces left and new jerks replaced them.

A fight was the breaking point during lunch one day. Hanging outside at a park not far from the school, the trio and their friends were confronted by their bad half. Someone pulled a knife, a scare tactic honestly to claim their hangout-- Elbert threw the punch. A brawl broke out, and with no teachers around or any nearby students to see what was happening, years of growing frustration could be unleashed. The only reason it all stopped was because Erasmus ended up getting stabbed and soon enough passed out after minutes of continued bleeding.

His parents were furious. Law suits were almost thrown, it was a chaotic two weeks that went by in a blur. In the end he had to step into a case that would have been nightmarish for the parents of the guy that had stabbed him by accident. He had to beg his parents to lay off. To relax, that he was fine (it would permanently scar). And in the end, things were settled but the tension didn't leave after that. Weeks, to months floated by and that tension hovered. There was no more fighting, new school rules were installed.

In the end it didn't really matter. Sophomore year was their last year in Manchester as the family had been prepping since Freshman year to move to Japan. Things, whatever they were, hadn't settled for his grandfather so there would be no going to Germany to visit over the summer and time was of the essence since there was a place they would be going to.

Off to Kayatomi they went that same year. With both their parents getting work in Tokyo, they would be going to live with a cousin of their father's who had married into Japan. There they would stay, and then soon enough- off the triplets went to Nageku High with their little sister off to middle school elsewhere.

Emperor Arcana

Personality

Collected, Toro's poker face hides emotion most never see. Naturally calm to start, forged of tough background to steel — Aki turned casual by circumstances that weren't. "If that didn't kill me, this won't" so it goes, using past troubles to justify today's happiness. To him the day to day isn't shit, drama ain't worth it and if it's not lethal? A rug will accommodate; so brush it under. In this bubble he's friendly with wit, a class clown without a care; good for making fast friends and quick enemies with teachers and up-tights specifically. All the same he's mainstayed among the "up yours" crowd to become a polorizing figure. A few others view him harsher still, but ask Toro why and he wouldn't know. Sure he makes jokes! Soooooo maybe that one prank was over the top? Sure he offended some kids here or there? But they're just soft; he was kidding! Such thin skin.

Opinions are subject to change — ask a few people "who is Toro?" and you'll get a few answers. Friend, entertainment, distraction, bully? Yeah you'll get those and more but it's not his intent to offend or annoy. He's on cruise control and making light of it while he's here. If your feelings get caught up in it....

Well

So you know Cruise Control Toro, but when he's outside that? Pulled from a nice predictable and safe setting? What you'd see is regression to base, a return to nuclear sender. Climbed from chaos his world's order is necessary, disturb that and the need for control envelopes. What was once a charismatic kid weaponizes as old habits show form.

Rebellious, kind of self centered, aloof, a friend-finder, fun but callous. Toro is liked by many, but should he be?

Backstory
Toro is the illegitimate son of an American officer and a local woman. "Toro" is the only pass-down from the man he's never met, a last name derivative that mom thought "sounded cool". Uh the struggle, Toro's mom was a hard working single parent, bending over backwards to.....

Kidding, it's not that kind of story. She was a worker in the sex trade; Toro was accidental and when he birthed ain't shit changed. She was sketchy and the kid was neglected for it, living without supervision or food on the table. An obvious step then, for him to break bad; pretty soon he was stealing and running scams. Soon he'd be noticed by local thugs and hired after — skipping school to work for Yakuza underbosses as a spotter. It was a dynamic relationship changing slow from "go here, pass this message" and "knock on this door if you see unmarked police" to "backup Kazu when he's collecting debts" and "push this product at your school". He wasn't an assassin or anything edge-lord like that but a gang affiliated reprobate lowlife? Absolutely!

He was lucky in the game, seeing no beatings or shootings, skirting past legal issues and boy was he carefree; but all good things end. Beaten senseless by rival low-lives, Toro would see a hospital bed and he'd be cuffed to it too. The men hadn't mugged him so the drugs were still in his jacket and of course they'd been found. It was a double-stack of shit after years of good fortune and layer one was the beating. Breaks and fractures, bleeds and internal damage; a number'd been done on him. That wasn't even the bad part though, the law was on his ass and his mom's too. They were looking at the parental situation and they'd be seperated for it. Soon he'd move cross country to live with an aunt and uncle he'd never met — with a one year probation deal on his back.

That brings him here to the school, insane life leading to "some boring ass bullshit"

Height | 6'0"

Weight | 160

Attire/Clothing Style | Stylized Urban - hoodies, jeans, sneakers, bright colors and matching outfits. In school he will wear a hoodie over the school-shirt if he can get away with it. He doesn't tuck in the shirt even if a hoodie doesn't over it, good luck getting him to tuck it lol.

Equipment | An heirloom sword owned by his aunt and uncle. Persona abilities extend to the sword, elemental and otherwise.

A small container of toothpicks, when combined with Ethereal Samurai they become senbon.

Initial Persona

Ichikawa Sadanji I - He was a famous Kabuki actor from the 1800s; a showman with flair, same as Toro. Why this specific actor is Toro's persona? That's anyone's guess, it probably relates to the blend of overlapping traits. Being an entertainer, adhering to male codes of honor, wanting to control surroundings like a playwright with a script — there's some common ground. As far as the persona's personality, Ichikawa is a very brash. He'll often berate Aki for acting out of place or (gasp) dishonorably. He's quick to yell but supportively, meaning well even if critical.

Accompanying Ichikawa is the sound of wood clackers. During calm times they will be subtle in the background like a light breeze. In times of tension they will rise into an all caps *CLACK CLACK-CLACK-CLACK-CLACK* to give scene soundtrack.

Skill List

[Active/Passive] - [Element] - [Skill/Spell Name]:

[Active] [Light] [Ethereal Armor] - The samurai cloak — a body-covering energy armor protecting Toro from damage. The armor's strength relates to stamina, the longer a fight the lesser the energy and the weaker the armor. This cloak can extend to objects in his possession such as his sword (to increase durability and his sword's reach by a couple feet). When effected, his toothpicks become senbon as well.

unknown.png
[Active] [Support] [Shibaraku] - Shibaraku, the show begins. With this ability Ichi enacts a "play" on the field. Right now only two enemies can be brought into the play along with both Toro and one ally. Those who enter the play must abide by the rules of the play, these rules are set by the subject matter, the script and the characters within. Let's say you're playing samurai characters? Well, better be ready for a swordfight because that's what you can do in this role. These rules are randomized at the beginning of the story and may hinder Toro rather than help. He might be put into a play where hand-to-hand combat is the rule, and the enemy is 6'5" and on every steroid — just for an example. As the story progresses control over the play will increase until it becomes astro-turfing for advantage. The plays can be done long form or short form. Long form has all the works with a stage area and even illusionary characters. Short form is subtle, looking no different than a regular fight but with the same rules enforced.

If that wasn't long-winded enough, enemy emotions can be changed by the character they play but with that said, so can Toro's. Everyone is in the shoes of a character, that character might've just lost a loved one in true Kabuki fashion. Hard-headed and stoic people will not feel this as much but the emotionally open will experience touches of what their character feels in the play. At this stage of the game that can be a good thing for the enemy ot a bad thing. The enemy can be the expert warrior coming off an incredible win, while Toro is the dejected loser of the story. Once more control is gained that randomness will subside.

Miscellaneous | Ichi carries several samurai swords and a wooden clacker set for instrumentals. He tends to avoid direct conflict but knows how to use his blades if directly attacked.

Weaknesses | Ichi isn't a Frontline fighter with focus to battlefield manipulation and support. Perhaps in the future he will step forward as a direct combatant but that's not his main deal for now. Support combat abilities trend melee and will stay that way for the long haul. In Ichi's opinion, ranged attacks are cowardly and the "crossbow destroyed Japan" — safe to say he's not getting a marksman badge any time soon. He doesn't have any specific Achilles heal but he can be emotional, and if his makeup is ruined he'll flip shit.

*Personality:
Sometimes happy go lucky, mostly talented. Ross is summed up as a man with no priorities other than enjoying the life brought upon by his talent. Whatever he thinks of doing, Ross would try and accomplish it having the most fun as possible. His good willed nature and cheery attitude is what made the Dance Team put up with him despite mainly being a tap dancer.

*Backstory: Ross Aisatsu is a young, 18 year old teenager that moved into Kayatomi when he was 5 years old. He practically grew up in the city. Ross had constantly taken dance classes and has taken a liking to Tap Dance. During his middle school years, he joined the Dance club just to Tap Dance while most kids would perform hip hop. Ross enrolled in Nagaki high, and during his second year in highschoo, he met a certain young girl named Jinnai Metsubou, the little sister of one of the teachers, Horobi Metsubou. The two got along like tea and sugar. Eventually, the two started dating...3rd year rolled around when Jinnai felt...Distant. Persona CS
*
Initial Persona: Franz Coppelia
Source Description: Franz is based of the character of the name name from the opera Coppelia
Appearance: Franz is simply a slender tall man that's constantly holding a female looking mannequin in a white dress. Her face covered with a plague doctor's mask.It has hair similar to a girl. Short haired colored black, and always shiny and silky.

*Specialization: Franz Coppelia fights as a psuedo duo; they fight as if they are in a ballroom dance. The male leads while the female follows. Meaning if he performs a spin kick, expect a follow up.

[Active] - [Psy] - [Psi]: Using the female mannequin, Franz Coppelia can cast light Psychokinesis on their opponents.

[Passive] - [Physical/Psy] - [Entrancing Dance] - Franz Coppelia dances on the field, performing hops, kicks and twirls to dispose of shadows. Due to Copellia's arteficial nature, when the female's moves hit the shadow, it may deal Psy damage. When summoned, Franz Coppelia is compelled to always move around

Miscellaneous: Franz Coppelia is comprised of two parts. Franz, the main body, and Coppelia, the female mannequin he dances with. Coppelia supplies Franz with Psychokinetic energies in order to use Psi and other Psy based spells.

*Weaknesses:
If Coppelia is knocked out of Franz' hands, Franz Coppelia will simply be a physical based Persona.
Since Franz Coppelia is constantly moving, the moment it casts a spell like Psi, the Persona is desummoned. This may leave Ross with a LOT of openings for counterattacks.
Franz' main weakness affinity wise is Curse and Nuke

Appearance:
Pygmalion Galatea appears similar to Franz Coppelia except this time, Pygmalion Galatea consists of a man holding a robot girl's hand. The girl appears similar to a woman clad in greek clothing that's mostly black, she bears a choker and bears a bird mask that only covers her eyes and cheeks, leaving the mouth seen. She is also holding a chisel on her free hand. Pygmalion in this Persona appears to be that of a business man with an apron over it. He's also holding a hammer on one hand.

Appearance: Sakura is of Irish descent even if she doesn't entirely look it there are some noticeable traits hidden behind her japanese heritage. Like her mother she has green eyes, but like her father she took his darker hair over her mother's red hair. Her physical disposition can best be described as fit, as a former gymnastics student she still caries the same fitness she possessed in her late middle school years even if she has quit gymnastics since then. Her frame can at best be described as spoon shaped, her hair is a very dark brown that borders almost on black and she has dyed it red, fuschia, and white in certain parts to create a colorful imbalance that goes with the blackish-brown.

  • Personality
Word is she's a hedonistic party girl, hangs with a lot of different groups and is not ashamed to flaunt allo'dat if posted videos have anything to say (and they do). While she does subscribe to the hedonist lifestyle daily, the closer clicks in her groups know that Sakura's intellectual side is often overshadowed by her party-self intentionally. It's better to say Sakura considers 77% of her actions before actually doing them. Yes, she's loud, energetic, chill- but she does think things through even if it appears she doesn't. This, stems from being raised in a strict environment-- but that's boring talk- let's talk about the important stuff!

Is she really quirky? Kinda but, she won't care that much of your opinion on her choice in style, she's way over that now. Is she a pain? Depends who you talk to, but she tries to often very approachable and nice. Socially awkward? Okay...you have me there. She does act out in social interactions sometimes to buy herself a bit of processing time.

Vengeful? Whoa...okay, digging a little deep now. Alright, so Sakura is a bit vindictive. I won't lie to you there, she does have a temper, one her big sis has helped her channel into other creative uses to work it out-- but like her relationships it has levels--although unlike her relationships her anger strips away consideration the longer it burns and the hotter it gets--

BgAh-- wait! Don't leave. It's not that bad. At least that's what she'll tell herself when her conscience kicks in and then is inevitably kicked out. Most of the time if her usual distractions don't work Sakura will resort to direct calm confrontation, if it's a person she is on good terms with. If its a person she dislikes she resorts to other methods, always tame unless she feels a lesson hasn't been learned. Then she gets...creative.

But she always means well, after all...actions speak louder than words.

    History
Home turf Kyoto, a single mother; bronze medal Olympic winner Emica Walsh. Unlike her half-sister Yuki, Sakura would never experience the same independence her fifteen years senior sister had once Yuki had moved out.

In failing her first daughter when their relationship fell apart Amica vowed to do right by Sakura. The result of that conviction was restriction. Sakura began to lose privileges as she got older. Her focus would be picking her future out early, Mother had said. And like her father had done to her, Mother did to Sakura by getting her involved in multiple extracurricular activities. Soccer, swimming, tennis, then gymnastics. Where her sister favored tennis, at 5, Sakura favored gymnastics- a field she would dedicate the most of her life to.

Education was also important. Friends would not be allowed to come visit her home on weekdays, there would be a strict limit on how much free time she could spend for leisure. Practice was also key. Practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice--

Yuki became something of a coping mechanism when her visits dimmed. Talking to her sister, those few hours she got with her friends, they became a breathe of air for her. When she was away from Mother, life didn't seem so narrow. So focused, lacking change out of a perpetual routine. By 11, Sakura had participated in the semi-leagues. She had been on TV, the bane of every introvert- except she wasn't an introvert, she thought she was- but she wasn't. Getting out there and doing what her mother had coached her in doing, it was exhilarating- a rush. It only stopped being fun when her mother came back with critique. Not praise, not much, not even alone. Just critique. Sometimes only critique.

It ended up costing her the chance to go the finals. It also made Mother disappointed.

Sakura didn't know she was reaching a breaking point because she hid it so well. Her dreams however said otherwise. They got darker. Things that scared her because sometimes they related to her mother. Out of all the people in the world, mother was the one she feared of disappointing the most. Of shaming. Yet a part of her yearned for freedom. And it came in the form of a classmate named Rin in middle school. Rin, became her second crush- and that's where Sakura underwent a rapid change once Rin saw through her. Everything changed with Rin. Rin opened her eyes to new things, new parts of herself, and even a better understanding of her own identity and the things she had been suppressing and denying herself out of obedience to her mother.

Mother, never liked Rin. She was a bad influence, a truth Sakura wouldn't see till it was too late and a lie her mother would not entirely realize. For three years her and Rin were close, with hiccups and falls, attempts from Mother to split them up. All pleas at trying to dissuade her stubborn mother ignored, adding on to the building rage till one day, denied of going outside on a scheduled day to meet friends (where Rin would be present) Sakura snapped. The police had to get involved, things were smashed, mother had to be admitted to the hospital for bruises, scratches and a wicked bite on the arm.

School caught word of what happened, and low-and-behold it was Rin who had spread it because she had been the one to rush over when Sakura had texted her a private message. A lie that saw social distancing from some of her friends when she had needed them the most.

Of all the people that could have hurt her, it was Rin. Rin whom had opened her eyes. Rin who had pushed her to separate herself from her mother, Rin who had convinced her to get her first piercings, Rin who often left her hanging at times when she needed her to provide some company from the stress when no one was available.

On the verge of a mental breakdown at what she had done, Sakura would get revenge. Turning all her guilt, hatred and anger towards Rin. She got it by finding every dirty thing Rin had said about their classmates and some teachers and shared it, publicly, anonymously, then watched with morbid interest and guilty joy as Rin underwent the social rejection she had endured for those two weeks her mother was away and a relative had to take her in.

Worst of all, it didn't satisfy her as much as she thought.

When mother was released, Sakura chose to leave home after the school year. To go with Yuki who had visited more than a few times since the incident. She would go to Kayatomi, start new; new high school, new name, new life.

*Personality:
Rhyme is a rather laid-back individual based solely on outward appearances while on the inside he is constantly tearing himself apart and trying to suit himself to each person with which he comes into contact. He is trying to focus and control his internal thoughts and personality to fit the situation at all times and does his best not to step on any toes.

*Backstory:
Born to an American mother and a Japanese father, Rhyme has lived a fairly uneventful and plain life. Plans to go to college, become a doctor, get a well-paying job, and settle down with a wife are approaching him from over the horizon of his youth. His parents are in a happy marriage, he does well in school, has friends who he hangs out with regularly, but something always feels off deep within him. Perhaps this is what has drawn him to his current, illegal occupation as a bartender even though he is only eighteen. Somewhere along the way he began to realize he has begun feeling dissatisfied with such a cookie-cutter outlook on life. With a somewhat shady boss who was willing to hire an underage person, and a staff of even shadier individuals his work gives him the push to find a path for himself as opposed to following through with what society expects of him.

Attire/Clothing Style:
Nageku High’s uniform, white, short-sleeved T-shirt, an off-white, button-less vest, a red ribbon as well as a pair of black-and-white pinstripe pants. However, the colors are inverse from the normal uniform.
In a more casual setting, his clothes match that of his FC.

Source Description:
Japanese History
Appearance:
Saigō is represented by a traditional suit of samurai armor that has traded wood and leather for geometric, carbon fiber paneling closer to a Gundam from Japan's modern era pop-culture. His bones from the waist up have been replaced with a steel fabrication of a human skeleton whose ribs make up the mouth that threatens to devour anything that gets too close. His internal organs have been displaced with the exception of a beating heart strangely residing within his hip and conflicting with the otherwise cyborg nature of his body. A "window" has been installed where a piece of flesh had been cut from the muscle and within is what can only be described as a galaxy being born. Wires speared through the heart pump a black liquid from within it to an unknown area behind the face carved from his torso. Any higher, and you'll notice Saigō is missing a head and it has instead been replaced by several muscle-like appendages that twist and retract into his body beneath his arms; these appendages pulse and tense as the heart pumps liquid to them, or as Saigō uses his upper body. Another notable feature of Saigō is the Katana lodged through his body into the mouth. Where nothing else seems to be able to pierce his armor, the blade of the sword is visible protruding through his abdomen as if it had been there before his transformation, or possibly linked to its creation. Saigō wields an ethereal form of the blade at all times, and hanging from his waist is a Tantō as well. Otherwise, his arms and lower body mimic that of a person's except his skin is translucent showing the invasive robotic bones and strange wiring cocooning them being sustained by black liquid from the heart. The armor clad above these areas is a semi-opaque material similar to what you'd see on a shower door made of frosted glass.

*Skill List (in google translate, of course):
[Active] - [Physical] - [Kata katana: Kata sashi (One Sword: Single Stab)]: Applies a penetrative effect to anything stabbed without damaging objects in the way. For example, the attack could be used on a shield-bearing opponent to stab the shield but instead of damaging the shield it is unharmed and the arm beneath is damaged instead. Similarly, it could be used in a hostage situation to stab through someone but damage the other person instead.

[Active] - [Physical] - [Fukisokuna Iki (Ragged Breathing)]: Applies an explosive effect to any slashes previously made as long as the slash leaves a mark, and the detonation time can be controlled at will. However, should the immense concentration required for the breathing technique be disrupted he loses the ability to detonate the slashes and has to start over.

1 - THE BEGGAR ARCANA

¥ P R O F I L E
➤ Name: Nakazora Etsu
         中空 (Hollow) (Joy)
➤ Age: 17
➤ D.O.B: October 29
➤ Gender: Male
➤ Orientation: Asexual

➤ Appearance: Etsu is of a wiry build with sullen eyes, a deathly-pale complexion and slightly chapped lips. His hair is lightly ruffled, its locks strewn about like trails of ash. His eyes are thin, blemished and of a faintly-radiant gold. His jaw is ill-defined, soft and boyish, but most surprisingly well-shaved (though he does have thin cuts along his chin). His fingers are also lightly scarred.
While not too apparent at first glance, the left side of his abdomen appears partially bruised and sunken, giving unpleasantly under pressure as though lacking muscle beneath it.
Supposedly, Etsu's odour varies wildly - at times it's a pungent wine-scent, at others a thick miasma of tobacco and, rarely, even an aura of ammonia.
➤ Height: 5'8
➤ Weight: 142 lbs.
➤ Attire: His summer wardrobe consists of sporty sneakers, skinny jeans lined with pocket chains and loosely-worn monochromatic shirts. In winter, he trades the shoes for tall-tops with steel toes, dons a variety of hoodies with necklace and wears snapback caps beneath his cowl. Omnipresent between all garbs are his walking cane (a gold-hilted rod of polished wood), a single golden stud on his left ear and a ring on each of his middle three fingers. The centre ring bears the Heart Sutra mantra, reading "गते गते पारगते पारसंगते बोधि स्वाहा", or "Go, go, go beyond, go totally beyond, be rooted in the ground of enlightenment". It's not unusual to find him wearing bangles or glitter makeup every now and then, either.

¥ N A T U R E / N U R T U R E
➤ Biography: 'The Merchant Prince of Kayatomi', so called. Currently operating as Nageku High's student council treasurer.

Poverty and apathy were the norm. Etsu grew adjusted to the tedium, the routine. Days of high spirits were a commodity, and though abuse wasn't present in his upbringing, physical contact in general was in short supply. His parents, both Japanese, worked around the clock to sustain themselves. When that didn't cut it, as was common, Etsu would have to find ways to support them, a situation he learned to live with from a young age.
None of it bothered him. He never fostered any resent. Kept his head high, but never too high - dispassionately realistic, never depressingly pessimistic. Life wasn't 'good', per se, but he never found himself longing for much. Or, that's how he made it out to be.

But deep down, he was wanting. He grasped at the things that were always out of reach. He hungered for the joys he could never experience. And that vacant pit in the bottom of his soul festered and festered, growing 'til it could grow no more. So he worked yet harder, day in and day out, passing away the hours taking menial jobs, selling all his nonessentials. When it wasn't enough, he'd push himself more until principles and legalities were no longer priority.

And eventually? It worked - he was in the black.

So he kept working. He looked back with resent to think, "I refuse to live that life of misery ever again." His body would erode and break down like a cadaver hardly held together, yet he persevered. 'Good enough' was no longer enough, his efficiency never satisfied. When you grow so desensitized to the routine, discontent with the results, you start taking shortcuts to make it worth a damn. For a child, only 15, drug abuse was unheard of, but for someone raised so neck-deep in workaholism it was only a matter of time - the rush of adrenaline and its euphoric release became essential. His pragmatism became hedonism. His disassociation, materialism. The addiction was inevitable.

It was only a matter of time before karma came around. At age 16, Etsu Nakazora suffered a sudden drug overdose resulting in acute kidney failure. He was rushed to hospital and forced to undergo an emergency transplant, then placed on immunosuppressive drug treatment.
The surgery wasn't covered by his health insurance. His parents sunk into debt to pay off the medical bills, yet wouldn't place him at fault.

But Etsu chose not to come home, "I don't want to be a burden," with a morose smile. He didn't understand why, be it of guilt or a wish for liberation, and refused to look upon his folk as he left the morning after.

The habit of indulgence worsened despite his efforts - the thrill of risk now seemed an alluring thing, his loss bringing not reflection but a deeper obsession. 'Near-death' itself became a drug. It wasn't about some fanatical desire for death, rather the opposite, the fear of death itself made euphoric. And, however hard he tried, he wouldn't stop. Or, rather, couldn't.

➤ Personality:
──Knowledge:
Inattentive
──Guts: Madcap
──Proficiency: Slick
──Kindness: Opportunistic
──Charm: Swindler

Nihilistic existentialism has always been pivotal in the moulding of Etsu's personality. Witty, cool-headed and senselessly hedonistic, he views the concepts of death and loss as fixed destinations rather than as outcomes to avert or postpone. Though his philosophy pleads that life is inconsequential, he believes in this more out of comfort than pessimism - without some cosmic harmony that must be maintained, he feels free to approach his day-to-day without dwelling on the ethics of his actions.

Despite this, his devil-may-care attitude belies the conviction of a gambler. Etsu is efficient and methodical, never wasting a breath that could be spent achieving. In his eyes, everything is just a means to advance his wealth and increase the inevitable payout of pleasure. Some see this as pragmatic, if not downright cynical, and they'd be right - Etsu lives his life as if every hour, minute, every second could be his last, and so never troubles himself with things that could jeopardize his enjoyment of fleeting time.

His conversations with others are brisk, distant, and though he smiles, giggles and banters from start to finish, it never teeters on ever remotely personal. Romance as a concept is so inherently alien to him due to its nature as something that must be approached with patience and regard, and so he remains forever befuddled by its purpose.

While he can be empathetic of others, his philosophy demands that he sees them as blurs, like passengers on an opposite train; although he would never willingly inflict harm upon another solely for his own benefit, he likely won't notice if he steps on someone's toes in the pursuit of a grander goal. This also unfortunately leads him to having an... ephemeral moral compass, which comes and goes when he sees a 'point' to it - he won't go out of his way to defend others, only defuse conflicts if they pose an obstacle to him or if he deems the act itself as being potentially beneficial.

➤ Likes: "What I like, eh...? Money's good and all, but I can appreciate the little things too. A nice, hot meal, like the tomato soup mum used to make. She'd mix it with these packs of precooked pasta, came in lil' animal shapes. I'd always pretend the fish one was swimming around in my mouth, hehe - ah, sorry, off-topic?"
➤ Dislikes: "What I don't like? Tough. I guess I'd say... the cold. Never got used to it. Blankets were never warm enough, the heating cost a bloody fortune and the window was so shoddy it kept letting in air through the hinges. We tried to fix it by wedging the side with cardboard, but that just made the damn thing come right off," he sighs.
➤ Motivation: "I don't want to want anything, 's all. I think some folks keep going 'long as they've got some great wish to fulfill, but me? Nah, nah, I'd rather settle down. Y'know, after I've done everything I want to do, felt all those 'great thrills'. Maybe give my old man a visit... nah, I shouldn't bother 'im."
➤ About: [his jewelry] "Oh, these darlings? What can I say 'cept 'they look snazzy'? Plus, makes the trade more convenient; cash's too dispersed, easy to lose a penny or two if you're not careful. Not like ye can chip a thousand-yen bill."

¥ C O M B A T
➤ Abilities:
──(Mis)fortune of the Deprived:
Etsu lives and dies by the prospect of success; were the whole world to scorn him with all its misfortunes, he would grin and bear it for a better tomorrow, even if it means pinching pennies to make ends meet 'til then. He possesses an incredibly well-developed financial sense and a degree of resourcefulness that goes unmatched. He is proficient in gambling, swindling and all matters involving exchange, as well as being able to accurately determine the worth of objects through deductive reasoning. Unfortunately, he can easily be inclined to sacrifice his own health for actions he decides are 'profitable', making him more susceptible to injury.
──Endure: In spite of all his innumerable health conditions, disorders and hypersensitivities, Etsu is remarkably persistent. He can stagger on his last legs with an air of ease and self-assuredness, pleading 'This is fine', 'I'm okay', 'Everything's great' even as his guts are sprawled out at his feet, seeming utterly impervious to the strain. Indeed, he lives stubbornly balanced on a razor's edge, never well enough to be healthy nor still enough to be dead.

➤ Equipment:
[Physical] - Lāvensis:
An ornate, single-edged cane-sword said to have the power to sever mind, spirit and body. Its name is just a coy portmanteau of the Sanskrit word for 'cutting' and the Latin 'sword'.

➤ Persona: Siddhartha
➤ Arcana: Beggar (Mantegna Tarocchi)
➤ Background: Siddhartha Gautama was a Shakya prince raised into laylife. Upon leaving the safety of his palace for the very first time, he became disillusioned by old age, sickness and death, and sought to discover some manner of liberation from the indulgent ways of royalty and the suffering of the outside world.
➤ Appearance: Siddhartha appears as a roughly-chiseled figure of white marble, all contours jagged and all limbs tapered, hovering in a perpetually listless slant. His legs hang aloft, crossed upon each other, one hand upon his chin and the other outstretched to the sky above. Chains and laces adorned with jewels are draped across his collar, hanging from his neck like a drizzle of riches. His face bears a geometric complexion of stained glass, each angle a shade of rainbow, yet his eyes remain a persistent, glowing ivory. Atop his head rests a ten-point crown on a white bonnet, though it sits tilted as if of apathy. Behind him floats a quartered marble mural depicting, on each piece: an elderly man, a sick person, a corpse, and a meditating ascetic. Together, the pieces form a pronged ring, the mural embedded within.
➤ Level: 15

Fortune Arcana

Fortune-0.png

Personality | "Who's idea was this anyway?"

Adventure calls, life's a moment to the next.
An everlasting urge pulls Keona from duty and to novel extremes. Grades and scholarships, career and marriage — that's mostly disgusting. Instead she seeks new places and experiences, quirky friends and road trips to find close calls. Highly irresponsible yes, but for some reason things tend to work out well for Keona. At 18 she's done a lot without fails of her fault, so she doesn't see reason to change gears now.

Curious to bits, every scrap of info is important. Keona can sometimes ask semi-inappropriate questions and some think her nosy. Friendly with most everyone on first meet, Keona is good at friend-making but can be a little too impersonal. She can be hard to know past gloss exterior but the no-nonsense "let's go do fun shit" attitude is welcome by an equal number of peers. To be clear this distance isn't introversion or shyness it's more like "Hey you! I heard there's an old factory that's haunted! Let's check it out!" instead of "Yeah here's some shit I'm dealing with, and how was your day? Is Brian still being a dick?"

Keona's spirit guide is an Eagles fan drinking Busch Light. Talking deep is kind of — "Low priority to me....... what? Do you want me to start from when I was born?" said seriously with a smile; I think it was sarcasm but even I'm not sure. Despite shallow talks Keona values those around her a bunch, just don't expect in depth self analysis. Instead she cracks dad jokes (laughs at them herself) and smiles at the horrified bystanders of comedic crime.

Keona has a strong belief in creating luck and making fate, her potential condition makes this a dear subject. There's a 30% chance a disease her genes carry will manifest, could be tomorrow or never at all. There's more about this in backstory and I'll save the details but there are some points to note. Keona's potential death is a reason why she's carefree and focused on travel and adventure. The entire premise of "live for today" is based on the hangman's noose swinging in the distance. When life's a gamble what's guaranteed should be ace so Keona tries to stay positive and appreciative of every second.

But it's not an effortless task, on occasion Keona falls to morbid fear and following depression. Questions like — "Why me it's not fair?" and self pity can thrive when you might die at no fault of your own. It's a vicious spiral that tempts Keona and on occasion she indulges. Usually these moments fade quick, but the underlying emotions still exist beneath the gilded exterior.

Backstory
Once wealthy Keona's childhood was a Hawaiin dream of prosperity in paradise. A medical expert her mom specialized in cognitive degeneration and as expected it payed well. Practicing corporate law her father contributed equally, farming jumbo paystubs from many businesses and organizations. Pooled together the family earned close to a million per year and lived well on a large plot of land by the sea. Life was good until Keona's 14th year when cruel irony struck to give mom a degenerative neurological disorder of her own. For weeks the scientist studied the disease despite her worsening focus but she made no progress even when working around the clock. Cutting edge medicine didn't cure and extremely rare the medical community could only offer quality of life treatments on the way out. Unable to change this medical paradigm on short notice the expert soon lay bedridden without short term memory or lucid thought. Mass cell death coursed her brain as mitochondria in nerve cells shuttered, necrosing a blessed mind to vacant mush within two months.

Collapsing the world, dad's focus became his braindead wife. Neglecting the kids he spent every moment at the hospital arguing with doctors and throwing money toward useless treatment. He was desperate and scouring the world he'd find the disorder's top experts because domestic doctors wouldn't help his fool's errand. Located in Kayatomi they ran a clinic of study for the disease, and selling everything the family relocated so mom could be treated by the specialists.

Pops couldn't practice law and refusing to leave mom he'd teach ESL in a private school. Scraping by with online fundraisers the doctor bills cleared, and what remained covered a small apartment where the family lived in cramped quarters. Claustrophobic their situation sucked but the family adjusted over time, and learning Japanese they made friends with local kids. Changing a hundred miles per minute Keona's lifestyle had inverted over the course of a year, but ever positive she forged on with big dreams to make reality.

Wanting to follow mom's path she sought a medical research degree. Working hard earning high marks it was possible and teachers supported the well vocalized dream. Popular in school she made a host of friends and also dated a few standout boys among the class' upper crust. Despite being broke things were going well; then the bad news broke.

Mom's disorder was genetic and Keona had the markers. Her chances to manifest the disease were 50/50 and life twisted nightmarish. Cutting relationships dead and losing friends Keona entered a voidal depression. Living was a coin-flip and every goal she had seemed pointless overnight. Caring about grades or looks and self care became impossible. Between sixteen and seventeen Keona hardly attended school and spent her days wallowing in self pity, until meeting a mystic suggested by one of few remaining close friends.

Entering the man's home he'd explain her situation without foreknowledge. Dropping impossibly known details the girl listened to his message intently. Going over manifestation he'd show that people attract what they believe.

"We make our own fate"
He'd say after reading her tarot deck with a smile, explaining that death would take Keona if she continued to reject living. Her depression attracted death but wanting life and appreciating each moment would stave it off. Maybe it was bullshit but Keona wanted to believe in the bullshit. She didn't want to spend her days under a black heartless cloud anymore and so she'd make the climb. Dedicating herself to live in the moment she crawled from the deep abyss and by the time Keona turned seventeen she was back, but not the same as before.

Our hard working student and social butterfly was dead. Keona was reinvented to follow heart and passion over expectations and responsibility. Seeking a medical degree she still handles school but living her best life comes first. Harvard may not accept her but hey, state schools have medical degrees too!

Height | 5'5"
Weight | 128
Attire/Clothing Style | Adult without formality, she wears well fit chromatic shirts and patterned sundresses. With her shirts you'll usually find a pair of jeans beneath, or perhaps tight cotton jumpers.

Equipment | One big flashlight and a multi tool, both stored in a black athlete-wear backpack.

Initial Persona

Nellie is contained chaos, classy and wild in contrast like Keona.

No nonsense she wears a brown sea-coat and matching slacks, adornments are thin. There's no jewels on this Tomgirl, the lonely decoration is a broken ivory compass hanging from the neck. Below the spinning hands of the tool run a buttoned thick black shirt for warmth on storm seas, and revolver rests at her hip with a popped holster.

Nellie's rural vibe hides her life as journalist and grand explorer. At a glance she seems the farmer and sure, swap words it ain't high poetry or ten cent words. What Nel cares about isn't purple yap but raw fire that spills when speaking to Keona, spurring her along with blunted encouragement.

Nellie rides a Clipper when entering battle. It runs the length of a surfboard with center mast to Nellie's standing shoulder.

Skill List

[Active] [Support] [Barrelman] - Looking through her scope, Keona learns the elemental/physical weak spots and offensive shortcomings of a target. It's a scouting report to outsmart opponents instead of brute forcing over the top.

[Active] [Air] [Full Steam] - Catching wind at her back, Keona moves at blistering speed. Used for acrobatic offense this ability stresses aireal evasion and dive bomb tactics. With this speed comes power and Full Steam melee is no joke, a thwack of Keona's scope at this speed could knock a brute cold.

Weapon

Keona's weapon in Cog-World is the brass scope above. For now it channels Barrelman but in the future it'll have more variety. Keona can also use the scope as a club and to scout normally through the lense.

Miscellaneous | Nellie's gun offers some range support but it's weak. I do see Bly and the ship getting more utility in the future but it's passive ranged peppering for now.

Weaknesses | Lack of defense is a big weakness right now. Also when Keona uses Full Steam she needs to ge very careful. Moving fast can increase damage when a hit lands, evasion is KEY!

≛| THE STAR ARCANA |≛

┈┈┈✿ BASICS
Kanji: 渡辺望美.
Romaji: Watanabe Nozomi.
Age: Seventeen.
Gender: Female.
Sexuality: Bisexual.
D.O.B: June 15th, Gemini.

┈┈┈✿ LOOKS
Height: 5'6".
Attire;
School─⊳
Besides trimming her skirt the only thing Nozumi did to personalize her uniform was use a green ribbon instead of the given red one.
Daily──⊳ Nozomi wears a mix of Western and Japanese clothes, taking inspiration from the girls she saw in the states and Japanese idols. Even though she doesn't mean to flex everything in her closet is high quality and expensive, making all of her outfits look that more together.

┈┈┈✿ PSYCHE
Person: Nozomi is kind-hearted, helpful, and so full of love it hurts to hear what comes out of her mouth sometimes. She can joke around and have fun like any normal person, but due to living her life in isolation she has trouble communicating when it comes to what she's feeling. Still, this doesn't stop the caring girl from trying to reach out whenever she sees something wrong with someone. Like for example, "You just broke your elbow? Oops..." Or, "Your grandpa died? Yeah, that uh, yeah that sucks." Along with her terrible communication the girl has inappropriate reactions. Sad things will make her laugh, even really terrible topics like death, but it's just her way of dealing with the pain or uncomfortability caused by it. Besides that, her social life is booming. Nozomi has a positive aura that seems to bring people into her life, and because of how cheerful and sweet she is she's gained a huge amount of friends.
Likes: Music, birds, fish, horror/drama films, gracefulness, comics, anime, bunnies, writing letters, powdered donuts, cats
Dislikes: Accidentally switching from Japanese to English, being alone, the flute, sour candy, olives, pickles, bears, monkeys
Hobbies: Fencing, gymnastics, ballroom dancing, video-gaming, doodling

┈┈┈✿ PAST
Kayatomi: While Nozomi's fathers a native resident her mother is a beauty from America. They met on tinder, but for rich people, and have been together ever since.
History: As she grew up her parents tossed her between living in Japan and America so frequently, thanks to their jobs, she never actually joined a school. Instead, her parents hired tutors to teach the little girl ever since she was young. Her parents noticed Nozomi tried hard and was a great kid, but she seemed a little.. socially inept. This first came to show when they went to a coworkers funeral and the nine-year-old laughed the entire time. As the blonde had been growing up her parents never had the time to teach her how to deal with her emotions, healthy coping mechanisms, or anything a basic person would know. So, in the face of sadness Nozomi can't help but laugh. On the other side when the blondes mad she'll start to cry. In other words, its a mess.

After the funeral incident her parents pushed her into doing more hobbies. Just studying wasn't doing any good for the girl. First it was singing, but Nozomi sounded like a boiling lobster, so they switched to the flute. The instrument lasted a lesson before the teacher quit, the worst playing she'd ever heard apparently, and so her mom signed her up for dance. After mastering ballroom dancing the girl seemed to not be able to do anything else right. With a last-ditch effort to throw something at the girl that'd stick they signed her up for gymnastics and fencing. Surprisingly the blonde has stuck with both to this day.

As Nozomi grew so did her wants. The girl begged her parents to let her go to school, but both of them were hesitant. If she started school in America or Japan, and it came time to jump continents again, their child would be all alone. The blonde managed to convince them to let her stay in Japan to attend high-school. Right now her parents are in America so she has the entire house to herself.

┈┈┈✿ COMBAT
Weapon:
Nozomi uses a foil fencing sword in combat. Foil swords are the lightest, so the easiest to swing around in combat, with a flexible blade. The foil sword was designed to hit vital organs in combat. Though the sword cant pierce targets it's jabs can really hurt. There's a reason fencers wear armor.

≛| MAID MALEEN |≛
Who:
Maid Maleen fell in love with a prince, and since she refused to marry anyone else she was locked away in a tower. The woman only had seven years worth of food. When no one delivered more she carved her way out of the tower. The princess saw her kingdom in ruins with no sign of her parents. With no other idea of what to do the lady made her way to the neighboring kingdom where the prince she loved was getting married. Maid Maleen started working at the castle as a servant. Over time she started getting closer to the princess who came to marry the prince. The princess was so incredibly shy she hadn't left her room since she arrived in the kingdom. On the day of the princesses wedding she told Maid Maleen to get married for her. After Maid Maleen walked down the aisle the prince gave her a golden necklace. When he went to bed that night with the real princess he noticed she did not have the necklace. Realizing this was not the girl he married the prince left to find the woman with the necklace. After saving Maid Maleen from an assassination attempt, and seeing the necklace around her neck, they enjoyed the rest of their lives together.
Why: Nozomi, like Maid Maleen, was separated from society. Everything was new to them. Maid Maleen's kingdom was in shambles while Nozome is living life for the first time.
Appearance: Maid Maleen's body is made up of pressed stone. Her legs and arms are as thin as sticks. Instead of hands or feet Maleen has stubs. The area from her hips to her shoulders is way thicker than her limbs, with her waist being extremely indented. Her neck is as thin as her arms, and her head is shaped like a bald alien. Where her eyes would be are two oval indents in the rock. In the middle of the indents are two miniature lanterns that give the illusion of glowing eyes. They are small versions of the lantern used to light up the tower Maid Maleen was held captive in. Other than this the Personas face lacks any other features. Her only article of clothing is her kingdoms flag that she wears like the apron she served the princess in. Despite her rock appearance, most of her powers are wind-based to represent the Maid Maleen's finally free spirit.
──[Active][Wind][Blast Off] A strong gust of wind will appear under a target's feet, lifting them up into the air. If the target is heavy they'll be raised slower and with less amount. Nozomi will usually use this on herself or an ally to grant mobility to higher places, or give chance for attacks done from above.
──[Active][Wind][Wind Stones] Five concentrated balls of wind, with the ability to pierce, get sent towards a target. The balls are the size of stones, so they aren't large enough to do a lot of damage, but it does make them more difficult to see and block.
Weaknesses: Maid Maleen's lantern eyes are incredibly weak, making her weak point not only glowing but in a prominent area.
