Exactly what it says. Ben can manipulate and store electricity of all kinds, from the smallest static charge to lightning bolts. Think of him as a battery that can then fire it's charge out in various ways, from concentrated bolts to massive waves. It seems his capabilities are limited mainly by his imagination at this point. He can even ride on power lines and train tracks, though they both have to have currents running through them. Currently, he's working on using his electricity to sort of...float through the air. Not flying, more like gliding, though currently it's basically just controlled falling. His biggest flaws go as so:
1. He cannot generate electricity. It as to come from a source, and while he could use the impulses in his nerves, he won't be doing much when he suffers a major heart attack because he wanted to shoot lightning.

2. Large amounts of water can kill him if he's charged. If he has a low charge, he can swim, take a shower, etc. But when he's basically a walking power plant, contact to water will cause him to discharge, hurting him and anyone around him. The same can be said for metal.



Magnetism:
This is a side effect of his other powers. Basically, with some finagling, Ben an cause his skin to become magnetized, the strength of which is determined by how charged he is. The thing is...he's not very good at using this, and has little control over it. It often triggers when he's embarrassed, thus making him even more flustered and continuing the process. The craziest thing he's ever done with this ability is wall climbing. By focusing the magnetism to his fingertips and feet, he can climb up metal surfaces like Spider-Man, though this only lasted a few minutes before he lost focused and almost broke a leg from the fall.​

Background: Odette lost both of her parents at a young age. With none of her relatives able or willing to take her in she floated from foster home to foster home, cold and detached from the world. It wasn’t until she reached her final home at the age of nine and met her foster parents Lila and Ray that she was able to finally heal and open back up. She has learned that family rarely means blood relatives and she adores the family she has made in her home with the other children that have come and gone over the years.

Born in the Black Hills region, James was born to a coal mining family going back generations. He was a fairly happy child until he was ten years old and his mother died. He and his father were both devastated as they loved her dearly. His father, saddened and distraught, isolated himself and James a lot from friends and social events. Indeed, their only main connection to the community was weekly Mass that they attended both in reverence and respect for the loss of their mother and wife. James took to helping with cooking and cleaning around the house to help his father.

With the economy being such that new and cleaner technologies were being developed, the various mines the Black Hills were known for began closing one by one with only one mine left open in town. His father, seeing the financial straights his family were near to being got a job for his son at 16 to work in the mines part time. There, he worked for two years honing his body to doing the work when on a quiet shift he dug into a small alcove deep in the hills. There he found some bones, a sword, and a box with gold and a letter which said...

"To my family and King,
I have finished my quest. Sir Dolharm's plans for these hills have been thwarted and the Darkness destroyed. However, a shaft collapse has buried my only means of escape. I am to die here. I know the Kingdom has little resources to search for every errant knight so I write in the hopes that one day if someone finds this, they will seek my family and tell them of my fate. I died in honor in the service of my King and the Light. May whoever reads this have mercy on my grave.

After reading the letter, he felt an urge to pick up the sword and utter the words forged on its blade.

"Let purest hearts, head the Call. Fight evil fierce, and fight for all. Let no one conquer justice's blade. May all bear witness, Light's Refrain."

As he spoke the words, his dirty shirts and clothes were replaced with gleaming knights armor. Shocked of course, he quickly wished to change back to his normal state which with a gleam of light, quickly happened. After informing his supervisor and having a lengthy discussion with the local union. It was decided that the matter would be covered up with the townspeople keeping the matter quiet. With the thought of having the government come to investigate the find and close the last mine, condemning the town to ruin and poverty was unthinkable. Instead, it was decided to use the gold to invest in building some steal mills in town so that new jobs could be made for the town.

Now, James is enrolling for the first time, James is leaving his home, to go to a special academy far away for those with 'potential'. James can only hope he will succeed.

Shy: Seen as a hero of the town for allowing the town to survive, James is often heralded as a hero. But, he hates it. He was always the kid in the back who hated public speaking and he still is that kid. To this day, he often avoids all the attention and tries to avoid the people who try to idolize him.

Respectful: James has always been very respectful of others, often calling people sir or ma'am. This is mostly a product of the training of his father and mother, and the church, who both instilled in him a respect for all peoples. However, this also means he dislikes derogatory humor and sarcasm designed to belittle. Often a target of such humor himself, he dislikes sarcasm and can miss subtlety in humor and discussion. But, he tries to respect everybody and will generally keep quiet about his dislikes.

Honorable: James dislikes stealth and backstabbing actions, preferring a straight confrontation and giving people a fair shot. Nonetheless, James recognizes that many times stealth is a smart option to take as evil doesn't give anyone the benefit of the doubt, but James will always dislike such things and prefer to confront problems head on. From his experience seeing so much hurt and pain, he has also gained an optimistic attitude seeing as whatever problem that arises is unlikely to be as bad as the disappearance of the town and so doesn't stress much about the future.

This also means that he doesn't express his opinion much or takes a back seat to more forceful leaders, a result of constant meetings with older and louder union leaders. Despite this, a few fell relics fell into the hands of Darkness which corrupted the relic, turning its purpose to evil. Seeing the threat, good King Gellart rode forth with his loyal servants to face the darkness and cut it from his lands root and branch. And while successful, the cost of purging the darkness, and the great lengths many nobles went to scour the land, meant that many relics were lost and many servants passed in the fields of battle never to return home. Overtime, Darkness was conquered and peace restored and the annals of time forgot Good King Gellart and his relics. However, for those who look for them, such relics both Light and Dark can still be found.
