"Power is not just taken; it is maintained through the relentless crushing of those who dare to wield it without my consent.
The benders believe their powers make them special, but under my rule, they will learn that their gifts are nothing but a shameful curse.
I will strip them of their illusions and remind them who truly holds the power in this world. Fear is my weapon, and I wield it without mercy."

Goal(s):
  • To become the next ruler
  • To end the Resistance

Backstory:

Rygoro’s great granddaughter, Jadara, grew up in the shadow of her grandfather's tyranny. From a young age, she was groomed to follow in his footsteps, learning the ways of war and the ruthless tactics needed to maintain control. Rygoro instilled in her a deep-seated belief that benders were dangerous and had to be oppressed to preserve the kingdom's stability.

Jadara, driven by a desire to prove herself to her grandfather and secure her place as successor, embraced his teachings with fervor. She became a skilled warrior and a cunning strategist, leading the Reorder in their relentless pursuit of benders. Her ruthlessness earned her the nickname "The Soul Crusher," a moniker that struck fear into the hearts of those who dared to oppose her.

The realm was plagued by unrest as the benders, driven to desperation, formed underground resistance movements. They fought to protect their kind and reclaim their right to live freely. Jadara, however, saw them as rebels and traitors, determined to crush their spirit and eliminate their presence.

Jadara, a savage and remorseless warrior, took to her role with zeal. She became known as the "Shadow Enforcer," leading the elite group of soldiers tasked with hunting down and capturing benders. Her methods were ruthless, and her reputation for merciless efficiency spread fear throughout the kingdom. Jadara's unwavering loyalty to her family's legacy and her willingness to do whatever it took to maintain control made her a formidable adversary.

As the years passed, Jadara's power grew, and so did her ambition. She sought to prove herself as Rygoro's worthy successor, aiming to surpass even his brutal legacy. Under her leadership, the hunt for benders intensified. Villages suspected of harboring benders were razed, and those captured faced grim fates—stripped of their abilities and thrown into the dark dungeons of the palace.

Despite her hardened exterior, a flicker of doubt occasionally crept into Jadara's mind. She saw the suffering of the oppressed and the resilience of the benders who fought to protect their kind. However, her desire for power and recognition overshadowed any inklings of empathy. She believed that weakness had no place in her world.

One day, Jadara captured a young air bender named Kieran. His spirit was unbroken, and his defiance in the face of her cruelty stirred something within her. Kieran spoke of a different way of life, where benders could coexist peacefully with nonbenders, using their powers for good rather than destruction. His words planted a seed of doubt, but Jadara's resolve to follow in her father's footsteps remained strong.

To solidify her place as the ultimate ruler, Jadara launches a campaign to eradicate the resistance movement led by Kieran and other benders. Determined to crush his hope and prove that her grandfather's legacy would endure.

Cut-throat Jian

"I am an old man in a job where people die young. I have staved off that fate by doing terrible things, but i never for once expected that I will avoid dying by the sword. A justified violent death for a violent life. An all too kind soul saw something different, giving him a chance at the possibility of something else, maybe not a peaceful end but a loved end. To save that person, to give what remains of this life for such a treasure as her life. Is the best end a worthless cur like me can hope for. "

Soyo Guo | 郭 北方

FULL NAME • Soyo Guo
AGE • One Year Behind Avatar Ezria
GENDER • Male
NATIONALITY • Earth Kingdom
POSITION • Earth Kingdom Civilian
ASSOCIATION • Case-by-Case Basis; Phoenix Restoration but not officially a member, sometimes on his own.
BENDING ELEMENT • Earthbending

APPEARANCE
PHYSICAL FEATURES • Straight black hair that grows fairly quickly, Soyo usually ties it up to keep it out of his face leading a number of ramshackle top-knots. His eyes are a swampy hazel green. While not exactly muscular, Soyo isn't lanky, and might best be described as lean. Soyo's identifying feature are the circular glasses he wears.
HEIGHT & WEIGHT • 5'8", 121 lbs
DISTINGUISHING MARKS • There's slight bruising on his feet from growing up without shoes for several years. Soyo now wears shoes when in public and not in any dangerous situations, since going barefoot may lead to deeper questions.

BACKGROUND |
> Soyo's mother is and was a tough and rebellious Earth Kingdom student, while his father was a charismatic happy-go-lucky traveler from the Fire Nation. They met on the road and traveled for longer than either believed, which led to their home in the village of Jin Ti-Shi and Soyo himself.

They weren't the wealthiest despite not living in a major city, so his mother taught him to be okay without shoes; while he thought it was a quirk as a child, his world was shattered when he discovered his mother was instead an earthbender in secret, which was the inciting incident for Soyo's parents meeting. Soyo's father was a traveller by trade, and thus told the young boy of gradiose fables and legends across the four nations, most of which he vaguely recalled from his travels. This was the spark for Soyo to become interested in both folklore and script; he began copying down these tales and keeping them organized in the small shed by their main home. This collection grew over time, and after hearing of the Library of Wan Shi Tong, the spirit world and concept of a library became imperative to his person. Soyo began collecting tales from neighbors and family friend, including a group of Yuyan Archers from which Soyo's father granted him a pet Wood Frog. Soyo named him Teak.

In the meantime, Soyo discovered he had the natural gift of earthbending from his mother, a dangerous secret he thought to conceal before learning of his mother's past. In secret, she and Soyo's father trained him both in the physical and academic hemispheres of life. Naturally, the Avatar Cycle came into discussion, and a thought came to Soyo: if the Avatar is a cursed fool by order of the Reorder, then the spirit world may be in the worst disarray any mortal could experience.

Goal(s):

Backstory:
Nina was born in the Foggy Swamps and is the daughter of the chief. Growing up she lived a pretty happy life she was energetic and a hard working girl who was always practicing her bending. Her mother mostly taught Nina everything she knows. The tribe was very close, they were like one big family. Her father was very big on teaching her this and about staying away from the outside world. "Remember this Nina the tribe always come first. Everything we do is to protect the tribe our family. You must never leave this swamp. The outside world is a dangerous place and you can't trust anybody." Even though she was told this about a million times Nina couldn't help but be curious. All she had ever known was the swamp. She wanted to know what else was out there but she didn't want to disappoint her father. Besides, one day she would be in charge of the tribe, though she never really had the interest to. Nina could be a stubborn girl, she would be determined to do things her way or not listen. Sometimes she would end up right and other times she would be really reckless and up in trouble. Part of the reason why she was reckless was because she had a curious nature and sometimes she just couldn't fight it.

The Foggy Swamps wasn't a usual place people would enter but their were times where strangers would pass through. The tribe usually just kept hidden and stayed quiet whenever a stranger did happen to pass through. Because of this is it was unknown to anyone that people actually lived there. There were times Nina would want to show herself and talk to the strangers but she was good and never made herself known. That was until one day Nina saw a man, who was badly injured came into the forest. He seemed to be bleeding and was in terrible condition. She wanted to help him but the others told her told leave him. Nina thought that was much to cruel. She knew the rule was to keep their identity safe but to let a man was in serious condition just lie there and slowly die it wasn't right. Not being able to ignore it she made herself known and appeared before the man. Come to find out the man was a fire bender and a hurt solider. She helped healed him and started to become friends with him. Her father was furious at what she did and told her to stop seeing him and to make him leave but of course she didn't.

Soon enough she started to fall for him and it seemed like he was falling for her to. Nina felt like she was on cloud nine she was so happy. But of course that happiness wouldn't last. The fire bender told Nina how he wanted to stay with her and her tribe and wondered if he could meet them and the chief. Nina of course was happy about this and she ended up telling him where the tribe was and that she would talk to her father first before she brought him. Nina ended up fallen asleep with him but the next day when she woke up he was gone. She looked around and didn't see him anywhere and she assumed he went to find food for himself. So she went on back home when she got there though she couldn't believe what she saw. She stood there in shock and confused. The place had been completely burned to the ground and except for a few dead bodies everyone was gone. Her eyes then noticed him, the fire bender. She stared at him and asked him who had done this. Without looking at her he said the fire bender soldiers had done it. But why? Why would these people attack her tribe and take them? How did they even know where they were? Then it hit her. He was the one that told them and then they attack. She tried to get him to answer why but he just stayed silent. Tears started streaming down her face and she watched as he walked away. Then suddenly she yelled out. "I swear if I ever see you again I'll kill you!! You hear me?!" He stop for a moment. He looked like he was going to turn around but he started walking again and disappeared into the fog. Nina went around desperately trying to find survivors. But sadly there was none that is until she found her father breathing slowly laying on the ground. She ran to him and bent down crying saying she was sorry. He looked at her and gave her sad smile. Her father died but before he did he tried to console her saying not to blame herself and that it wasn't her fault but it didn't help. Nina was now totally alone. There was nobody left. Her once energetic and happy self was now gone, full of anger and self hate. Her eyes had become lifeless. Never would she leave the forest and never again would she ever trust anyone especially fire bender. If she ever saw one again. She would kill on sight.

The swamps now are said to be haunted with ghost and monsters and anyone that goes in can never fully cross through cause they usually run scared for their life. They would never guess it was just a single girl controlling the swamp and making it come to life.
