The Astral Relics
There are supernatural beings in this world, always have been. Some are good and some are evil but most of them simply just are.
Our characters are a group of those beings that decided to investigate and fight threats to both humans as well as their own kind. Think of them as a supernatural PI/protection businesses that occasionally helps the cops solve the cases they call ‘strange’. To most, the group is just a bunch of people that specialize in the odder cases in the city.
The group is about to take on a case that eventually leads them to a dark conspiracy involving the Astral plane (otherworld if you will, the place supernaturals and mostly spirits and such come from), an ancient war and a small number of relics that have the power to change the balance of good and evil unless they can stop it.
Setting: Modern day
Posting rule: Five lines per character post minimum. No one liners please!
Roles available: A maximum of 8 characters in total (including mine). Each player can submit 2 characters but in the end I will only accept up to 8.

Some Of The Available Species:
Shadow demon – A strong demon, they are the type of demon that can't exist in our world without possessing a human being. With possession the human attains some of the demon's powers like shadow control and reading. Its like the human can read shadows like a book and see what had taken place in the shadows close proximity. Its rare but in some cases those possessed can also attain the power to ‘teleport’ smaller or even medium-sized objects from one place to another trough shadows. The possessed and the demon share a body, if not exorcized in time the situation becomes permanent.
Seer – A person that is able to tap into the stream of time and glimpse into either direction. Basically they have the ability to pick a time and place they wish to see and it happens, the visions aren’t limitless and can often be blocked by wards and the presence of nightshade.
Medium – Can spiritually enter the astral plane and let a ghost of their choice posses their body, its temporary (the possession that is) and rather dangerous if the medium doesn’t know the spirit since the results can be rather disastrous if an evil spirit were to possess them. Some also have the ability to see and talk to spirits even if they don’t want to be seen by anyone.
Valkyrie – Beings of great physical strength, reflexes and a knack of finding the dead or spirits that are still stuck in the human world. Valkyries are strictly female and there are no exceptions. Some Valkyries are even born with higher senses.
Succubus and Incubus – beings able to read (sometimes even control) emotions and capable of persuasion, sure the persuasion doesn’t work on everybody (like on most of supernatural descent) but it does work on 99,99% of humans and some supernaturals with a weak ‘mental shield’. Succubus and Incubus also have more physical strength then your average supernatural, well as long as they are virgins, after that they lose the strength but their persuasion skills grow stronger.
Vampires – Most people have heard myths about the bloodthirsty creatures of the night, but not everything about them is true. For one, they can go out during the day as long as the sun isn’t too intense and they don’t stay out in the daylight too long or they risk dying of thirst at a rapid (and unstoppable) rate. Holy objects do nothing, well unless you use them as an actual weapon but who wouldn’t die if someone thrust a sharpened cross into your heart? The speed, strength and senses are all heightened to a level exceeding most supernatural creatures and yes, they do need to be invited into a building owned by a human or they cant enter (unless int a public place of course).
Shapeshifters – They are beings able to take on the form of an animal, their bloodline reaches so far back some think they were around in ancient times, not that it makes them as respected as they deserve to be because their animal within makes most supernatural beings look down on them. They have a great sense of smell, reflexes, can shift whenever they wish and the animal forms are usually limited to two forms. In their animal form they have slightly less human characteristics and are slightly more animal then movies and books might imply.
Siren – Beings born in the deepest oceans of the world. They are able to breathe underwater and prolonged exposure to water breaks their hold on their human form and so forces their body to form a tail instead of legs. In some cases (like if a siren is from a royal bloodline) they are even able to control small bodies of water as well as have a voice that puts men in a hypnosis-like state that makes the man vulnerable to persuasion.
Elemental – A being that is born with a strong connection to an element, it is part of them and they can connect with an element to gain information, healing and strength. Iron can be dangerous to them if they get wounded with it because it causes a severe and sometimes fatal allergic reaction if they aren’t treated in time.
Corporeal Ghost – A ghost that had become corporeal after escaping the Astral realm and reentering the human world. They have the ability to walk through walls, become incorporeal at will and in cases of old Corporeals they can also display telekinetic abilities. They can eat and drink as well but in every other aspect they are like ghosts, meaning they can be banished back to the Astral plane.
Undead – Think zombie if they were able to function properly, they are a type of zombie just unlike them the undead can think like they could while they were alive and can survive of any meat, not just humans. The undead can move as fast as humans and they don’t feel physical pain as strongly as other people. The ‘virus’ can be passed on trough blood contact but only humans can get it, supernaturals are immune to the ‘virus’.
Other – If you want a being that isn’t on the list you can suggest it in a PM and we can see what we can do. Also there is space for 1 human that is part of the group because of his/her skills.
