Eugene started to read. "Most of its been removed but the last one is readable, final entry. The CEO was wrong. The government collapsed and society is broken everything went according to plan up until two days ago. The virus mutated faster than expected. The anti-serum failed and those of us that aere innoculated are now susceptible to infection." He said. "Phone signals died about an hour ago."
"Hmm so they caused it and were trying to make an anti serum." Taylor said thinking.

When Eugene and Bailey returned to the power building they were met with a sight far more guresom than before. The people working there had been torn apart there was blood everywhere. When they came back Eugene gathered everyone. "Your gonna want to hear this." He said pulling out a journal.

Mirabelle, Derrian and Dorothy gathered with the others. Ready to listen in to what Eugene and Bailey had seen.

"Hmmm.... that's odd that it's stated this way." Bailey said.

"What, in a journal?" Eddie asked.

Bailey shakes her head. "No. It mentioned a CEO and the government as two different entities. If that's the case, then there's a chance that this wasn't a government experiment, but rather some made scientist aiming for who knows what."

"Ohhhhhhhhh okay. Well let's find the CEO and kick their ass then." Eddie suggested.

"We don't know for sure that they're still alive to begin with." Bailey said. "Though it's likely that they are, given their status, there's a chance that they could've been a casualty at any point."

"I don't like this. Some of us are immune naturally, like Me, and Taylor," Jason said. "But if it mutates this rapidly. We might not be for long."

"Hmm good point Jason." Taylor nods. "At least we know a bit how this all started "

"Not what you expect....a power plant being behind all of this?....why would they ...why would someone from there even .....its so weird..." Mirabelle had a suprised and confused reaction towards what Eugene read off from the Journal.

Derrian wore a frown as he stood there arms crossed as the group discussed the findings on the journal and way was seen at the plant.

"The virus should not mutate any longer or at least not as fast as it was growing in the lab.....unless itself stats to feel threatened or in need in a way to find survival....and by the looks of how the world might be right now its clearly thriving as is...." Mirabelle added

"With all of those workers gone, it's gonna be difficult to find out where they came from, but I'm still willing to bet that wherever they were staying at is at least a decent living place." Bailey said.

"Maybe they were trying to get a young audience on thier side. Maybe even some recruits " Taylor said. "Doesnt matter. Eugene what do you know about them?"

“Maybe they planned to turn him into one of their cyborgs..” she replied almost emotionlessly as she looked at Eugene The Wordsmith Myth The Wordsmith Myth

"Cyborgs?" Eugene asked.
"They.....might actually be considering that." Bailey agreed as she looked at Taylor before turning her attention to Eugene and Lexi's bickering. "So about FutureTech. Did they offer you anything?"

Lexi looked at Taylor “of course they did, I was head of security, I declined any enhancements but I did get a nice truck and this” she replied and pulled out a black brick that unfolded into a plank that was two feet long and 8 inches wide

"Not really anything beyond sponsership. Told me they just wanted to get their names more out there." He said.

"First zombies and now cyborgs. It's really starting to sound more and more like something from a movie. " Taylor said

With the mention on the companies name Derrian become quite, more quite then usual. Not saying a word but now keeping his eye contact away from the group as they continued to discuss.
"Well whatever their plan was it backfired." Jason said. He glanced st Derrian for just a second before turning back to the others. "But Bailey's right. These people probably had some lodgings to stay at when this started."

“Your lucky then” Lexi replied as she put the black brick away

"Our best bet is to find where they came from. Likely a nearby town that's secluded, but functional enough to comfortably house so many workers." Bailey said. "I think we should get a move on soon, but we have to be cautious if we find them. If they realize many of their people haven't come back after they've seen us, they might falsely accuse us of killing their comrades."

"You think something like a company town?...people would practically work, play and live in one secluded area run by the company they worked for....." Mirabelle commented remembering having heard a podcast on a place like that.

" oh deary those things are old history....something done back around the late 1800s early 1900s ....came basically nonexistent after the 1920's ....sadly the idea and management of said places weren't the best and at time not very ethical.." Dorothy chimed in.

"Well if we getting a move on we might as well do so before dark....vehicles all gassed up so we don't have to worry about such things.." Derrin added

"Good call." Jason said. "Everyone load up."
