So anyone familiar with the Dark Souls games is probably aware of how it all started, what with just about everything going wrong at the same time before Gwyn, holder of the first Great Soul and Lord of Anor Londo, city of the gods, gave himself to the First Flame to prolong the golden age, only for the fire to fade out anyway, allowing everything to fall in on top of itself. A few games later, and everyone dies anyway. So if you were in Gwyn's shoes, what might you have done differently? Thus is the premise of this story. You'll be given the role of either Gwyn or of someone equivalent, and from the throne in Anor Londo you will have the authority to make a number of decisions concerning the world around you. Seems rather straightforward, and straightforward it is. All that said, there will be issues brought to you identical to those which occurred before the events of Dark Souls. Events like Executioner Smough's rise to power and the unrest in Oolacile will be prominent in this, and your task will be deciding how best to deal with them.
