Welcome
This is a RP for anyone craving the potential of an open world and companions to explore it with. There are a few rules regarding character creation, but race, magic, and the history of the land are free to build upon (within reason).
Plannit Plannit is my collaborator in this, and all credit for the guild logo, affinity symbols and quest board programming go to him.
There are six ranks in total: Copper, Iron, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Mythril. All characters start at the lowest rank when they first join the guild. However, your character can be anything from copper to gold if they are already a member when you create them.
Note: They cannot start at Platinum or Mythril. Those ranks must be earned throughout the roleplay.

Your character can have a maximum of two affinities from copper to gold. However, once they reach platinum they may choose a third.
Each character can only have one special affinity. The rest must be from the basic elements listed.

special_by_mad__machine-dcij40a.png
Special:
Provide your own details.

Each character has six attributes: strength, intelligence, agility, dexterity, constitution and resilience. No matter what rank they start at, they must be assigned 2 low, 2 average, 1 high, and 1 excellent in any combination. These will be used throughout the rp to determine if a character can complete a task, use a weapon/spell or defeat an obstacle--so choose carefully.

Each time a character ranks up, they can improve an attribute by one tier. Thus characters that start at a lower rank have more room for growth.

Rules:
1.
RESPECT THE LORE.
-Specifically, the histories and explanations people create throughout the rp.
-Do not change something without first discussing it with them.
2. You cannot RP Beezlebub (do not ask why).
3. Do not timeskip quests—though things like walking and sleeping are fine.
4. Main characters are to be a part of the guild or intending to join.
-Cannon fodder enemies are fine.
-Ask if you have an idea for an antagonist.
5. Unless you are Platinum or Mythril rank, you cannot do a quest solo.
6. If your character is discovered to have killed someone without permit, they will be tried for murder by the kingdom.
-The Adventurer's Guild are responsible for 'upholding the peace' (though they have not been very good at it).
-Any actions that disrupt the general public will damage the guild's reputation.

The dragon quite enjoyed the forest, there was enough sunlight to warm him but not so much as to blind. the light dappled across his shining scales reflecting small specks of dancing lights across the rocks and trees around him. He padded slowly along the path, paying no mind to the large, threatening crows that perched along the humble trail.
"It's of my honest opinion that perhaps you deserved those rocks, Rodent." He replied in a dry, flat tone. The minuscule knight had been yelling about this their entire trip home. "You did start it after all." His voice was drowned out as she chuntered on dramatically, finally being cut off as a sudden streak of black swooped past his head.

Cel's crows guarded the path to the Guild Hall, they watched as dark and scruffy sentinels for any danger that may approach, resting neither night nor day. The dragon was at peace with the crows, they didn't bother him so he didn't bother them, Milby on the other hand...
He felt her small body slide down his neck and settle between his wings, screeching unintelligibly at the crows heckling her. Two of the hunched, black figures perched on his horns, cawing at her tauntingly like a couple of giggling gargoyles.
"Don't you hurt the crows." He warned, "You know how Guildmaster Cel gets..."

"Milby I don't believe-" Ren began but was cut off as the tiny knight began screeching once again, the clever birds swooping towards her cackling. The dragon let out an audible, rumbling sigh, smoke wisping outwards from his jaws in his displeasure at having an ambush take place on his back. He did not, however, abide by the rodent's request, rather he opened his great wings and flapped them a couple of times. The wind generated by the thin, pearlescent membrane rustled through the heavy trees and stirred the dust beneath his scaly feet. At the disturbance of the wind the crows reeled back, cawing indignantly as they returned to their watchful positions, eyeing Milby beadily.

The peaceful forest path opened out into the Guild lands, the Guild Hall directly ahead was a large building primarily made of wood, the roof was arched and towering with a familiar crest of shield, sword and quill hung at the apex of the curve. Further on stood the training grounds, then campsite past that again. The dragon turned at the edge of the hall, blinking as the sun peeked out from the clouds above. Connected to the side of the guild hall was a barn-like structure, unable to fit through the regular doors of the hall, the barn gave him an entrance as well as sheltered place to sleep out of sight of a wandering up-start hero looking to make easy gold with the head of a sleeping dragon. Ducking below the wooden beam at the barn's entrance Ren was glad to be in the shade again, the days had been rather warm as of late and while he enjoyed warm weather he enjoyed it much more high off the ground where cool breezes would keep his temperature steady. The barn was floored with soft hay, a surprisingly comfortable material for larger animals. The wall which joined the barn to the hall was separated by a thick, heavy cloth curtain, it blocked a decent amount of both noise and light and made both areas private enough for those residing in them. Pushing past the purple drape Ren nodded politely to Cel who appeared to be fussing about the hall once more. The old woman was much admired by the Guild members, she was stern but kindhearted and far more stubborn than the most hard-headed mule, it was impressive for a woman of her age and history. Finally he laid down at the clear end of the hall, partially unfolding one wing to give Milby an easy way down from his back.

"We're supposed to be a team!"

The knight shouted towards Eirzen. The doll was used to this conversation, it happened every quest that she did. As she was only gold rank she couldn't do quests solo, although that didn't stop her from moving ahead and completing the quest before the rest of the group arrived. They were slow, and had to rest frequently, whilst she could keep moving endlessly. She was efficient and the others were not. This has earned her a rather negative reputation in the guild and made it rather hard to make groups. The usual teams she ended up in were copper groups who didn't know her reputation yet. This lead to her taking easy jobs that she could complete alone, causing the whole situation to loop.

The conversation was the same as always, her face showed no emotion but she was annoyed and ignored the shouting at her. She wished she was platinum ranked so she didn't have to deal with these annoying weaklings. The negative reputation however was beneficial in one way, as people knew about her it became easier to get information, although the information she collected hadn't benefited her quest to find her master. Few people knew the truth of her quest, and Cel was one of them.

After a lengthy and loud walk the group arrived back at the adventurers guild, as per usual they would go to Cel to complain about Eirzen leaving them behind to finish the objective faster. The whole ordeal had become routine for both Cel and Eirzen. Eirzen herself turned in the quest and found a set to count her coins. She almost had enough to repair her magic circuits in her arm. To others the arm appeared fine, and functioned, but the complex circuits assisted in her channeling affinities. As the magic techniques were lost long ago, it was extremely expensive to repair, meaning it required many quests, and so she completed them as fast as possible, much to the displeasure of the adventurers she grouped up with.

Chimer was whistling a tune as he returned to the Adventurer's Guild House. He had spent the majority of the afternoon performing a few songs on his trusty banjo in order to earn some money and to feel like he wasn't just lounging about doing nothing. Having joined the guild just a few days ago he had not yet taken up any jobs or quests as he had wanted to first get accustomed to his new surroundings and make sure that this decision was something he wanted go through with. Being a copper rank in the guild meant he would likely be completing simple task in the future, but Chimer didn't particularly care. He was just excited for what the future may hold and the things he could learn even if he was just a bit scared of being ambushed by raiders again. But then again that was one of his main reasons of joining was it not? To learn to protect himself from situations like that.

Walking into the guildhall Chimer’s attention was immediately focused upon a group of clearly frustrated guild members who seemed to be trying to file a complaint about their recent job to Cel, the guild master. Chimer didn't really want to question why they were so upset as it wasn't really his job to poke his beak into other people’s business though if he had to guess it likely had something to do with the human lady wielding the large ax that was distancing herself from the group and the fact that they kept using the word 'she' and saying that they were left behind.

"Nothing a good song can't fix" he said to himself as he took a a seat at a table and began to play a nice calming tune on his instrument in an attempt to draw the attention of the upset guild members. Looking around the room as he played Chimer spotted in the corner a white dragon and a small creature that looked to be just settling in after a long day.

Vita was maneuvering through the thick bristles of the forest, the sun illuminating the grass below her feet and practically each leaf she saw. Taking in a deep breathe and laughing lightly, the woman began to make her way towards the guild-hall. She honestly knew her way around the expanding forest then she did the bustling kingdom with marked signs and roads, though that was to be expected from someone who preferred chit-chat from trees. Humming her way along the seemingly never ending sights of large trees and energized animals, she eventually came across the guild hall.

Hearing a soft tune coming from inside, she was even more intrigued than usual. She had seen a bird-like fellow with a musical instrument join the guild not so long after she had done so herself. She opened the large wooden guild-hall doors to see Chimer strumming away on his instrument, in a calming tune. Vita looked around the hall to get more of her surroundings, and she saw why the tune might need to be that soft. The arguing guild-members seemed to not take in the birds tunes as well as she did herself.

Walking up to Chimer, she softly smiled. Within a few moments of getting into the rhythm of the tune, Vita began singing along with it. She hoped she was assisting the bird, and not intruding on the song he was currently performing. Though, the combined tunes seemed to get the attention of the once frustrated guild-members.

Vita watched as the Chinchilla darted to their table at an amazing speed, she was quite impressed. Her gentle expression returned to her face even though the small creature was using quite a hostile tone towards the bard beside herself. Though, when she saw the creature's smile that was undoubtedly pointed in her direction, she couldn't help but turn one with the same vigor.

As Milby spoke more of her what can only be assumed to be propaganda, followed by the maniacal uproar of the tiny one--Vita was speechless. She absolutely adored this fuzzy creature already! Her vigor and agility caught her attention, but it seems her personality kept it. The elven woman smiled down at Milby, crystal emerald eyes sparkling with curiosity for the chinchilla.

Vita then took a deep bow where she stood, the heels of her bare feet leaving the ground. She spoke as her head tilted upward slowly in a soft, yet very sweet tone. "Greetings, small one. I can assure you my undying loyalty." She then stood back up, her back popping lightly. "I am Vita Pulchra, I'm a new healer of this guild. May I know your mighty name, oh agile one?" She couldn't help but giggle a bit after her sentence.

At first it did not seem like the tune he had decided to play was helping to calm the upset guild members even in the slightest, but Chimer was determined to keep trying. Maybe if I try… he thought to himself before being cut off as an elven female entered the guild hall. He had only briefly seen her before as they both joined the guild not too long apart but he did not know much about her, so it was certainly a surprise when she had walked up next to him and before long started singing along with his music. Chimer simply smiled or at least as much as one with a beak could as the combined musical talents of the two drew the attention of the frustrated guild members away from their guild master.

Though the combined performance would only last a short while as the small creature he had spotted in the corner earlier had quite unexpectedly began running and yelling at him before impressively jumping up atop the table he was seated at and questioned him.

“Our apologies Dread Milby, we did not mean to perform without your permission nor did we intend to play songs that spoke not of your legendary feats” he said as he set his instrument down on the table next to the chinchilla knight. Judging by the laughter going around this likely was not the first time that Milby had done this, but it sure seemed to entertain everyone so Chimer decided to play along. “I Chimer Steelfeather too pledge my undying loyalty to you in order make up for my mistake"

"Dread Milby?" Vita questioned, looking over to the Kenku for conformation. The woman hadn't spent much time in the guild hall, as she took it upon herself to settle disputes with the guardsmen and the townsfolk as best as possible. Giving the reason she didn't know most of the guild members, despite being there for more than a week.

Though, she looked as intrigued as ever. Noticing what was happening around her drew her attention, my what a crowd it was. It seemed endless to the anxiety riddled elven, this caused her expression to damper a little bit, holding her hands together tightly in front of her. Instead, she tried to focus on Chimer along with his lovely appearance. Yes! That's exactly what she needed, an interesting person to draw her attention.

What seemed like long minutes in the elven's mind, which was actually only a few seconds--Thoughts had raced through and out of her head. So she smiled back up at Chimer, waiting for a response, whether it be long or short. She enjoyed talking to this bard fellow, after all, they did share a similar taste in music.

The hall was washed in gold as the sun, only now beginning to lower its sluggish body, trickled into the long room through various circular windows lining the upper walls. The dragon observed as Cel continued to fuss about, shifting as he felt the content mood in the air quickly change as the hollow-woman entered, face solemn and lacking emotion as was custom for her. He paid little mind to the complaints of the late coming adventurers and Cel's stern lecture, flicking a leathery ear as he lowered his head to rest on the floor. This was a common occurrence with the Gold-ranked woman, and one he felt best to keep himself and Milby out of.

Ren relaxed his wing as he felt the small rodent nestle beneath it, her voice betraying her tiredness, it had been a long day which she often managed to make even longer for herself. "Cel would notice a missing crow, trust me on that." Closing his eyes his tone wavered as his thoughts drifted back to when he'd first joined the Adventurer's Guild and -due to a rather unfortunate turn of events involving an overconfident and mischievous crow swooping a few too many times at a disgruntled dragon- had eaten one of the dark observers. Much to his dismay he was then quickly met and subsequently scolded by a very unimpressed old bear. Cel was surprisingly scary when need be, considering her experience in her prime and retainment of old magic.

The tap of light claws and ruffle of feathers and cloth roused him from his brief nap, bright eyes flying open and pupils quickly dilating in curiosity at the strange newcomer. Raising his head he cocked it a moment, observing the bird with a thoughtful stare. He rarely met birdfolk, even on his travels so the sight was foreign and fascinating. Saying nothing he watched as the bird, seeming to be a small bit worried by the tense atmosphere pulled out his banjo and began to pluck a tune. A bard? He liked the feathered stranger already. Glad to hear the cheerful music began to elevate the mood of the hall he began tapping his tail along to it.

Then came the next newcomer, this time an elf. She had an air of calmness and comfort about her, eyes lively and bright with the light of a leaf-veiled sun. Adding her voice to the cheerful tune the previous tension seemed all but forgotten, a joyous cacophony of chatter and song lighting up the hall.

And then Milby.

Ren stopped as he heard a sudden, splitting cry, hardly muffled by his wing as a small furry figure perked up from behind the thin membrane. With speed and flair the tiny knight scaled the table and began her poetic spiel. The dragon froze for a moment, a touch of worry sinking into his heart as feared the newcomers would take offence or accept the threat, though quickly erased the doubt with a wide grin as they addressed the chinchilla in a similar fashion fashion.

It was the same scenario that happened too frequently for anyone involved to find it new. Everyone else ignored the situation, whether this was out of fear of Cel or a lack of care, Eirzen couldn't tell. Emotions and empathy were always hard for her to understand, but she could tell that Cel was angry. This had happened far too much

"My current objective is to complete quests with maximum efficiency. Finishing a quest in 2 days when they would take 3 days just to arrive is a matter of efficiency. The fact that the other adventurers take so many breaks is not my fault. If you wish for me to stop doing quests with maximum efficiency, please give me a new objective to follow."

The lack of understanding the issue was clear, much to the displeasure of those who understand basic empathy. It was inhuman to anyone who was paying attention, though Cel already knew that Eirzen was in fact a construct rather than living.

“That is correct” He said nodding his head to let Vita know she was not mistaken. “Though that is if I heard correctly, after all there were some important titles mixed in there that we should probably not forget like the ‘Adventurer of Adventurers’ and the ‘Bringer of Fortune and Carnage Incarnate” he said looking back at Milby. “What would you prefer we address you by mighty one?”

As he awaited the answer Chimer looked around at the crowd that was now watching the act he and Vita were putting on. They seemed to be quite entertained as all eyes in the crowd were upon the scene at the table even after the musical performance had ended. While glad the crowd was having a good time the avian bard just hoped that Milby wouldn't be to upset once she inevitably found out he was just pretending to praise her and pledge his loyalty.

Eirzen remained silent. Her intentions however didn't go through with her lack of facial expressions. She immediately corrected this with a simple line.

"Please continue your explanation of the knew objective."

She placed her large halberd at her side for ease whilst speaking. The axe was heavy as its size would dictate and the only the manipulation of gravity made it seem so easy for her to wield. To Eirzen the halberd was a part of her, and so using manipulating gravity was quite easy on the axe.

Eirzen took note of the Chinchilla which was getting rather full of itself in the crowd. After this conversation with Cel, depending on the new objective, the doll would most likely have to put the rodent back in its place.

She stood outside the large wooden doors of the guild her grandfather had spoken fondly of in the leather bound journal. Her gaze one of curiosity and wonder as she pushed open the doors. Inside, she immediately took note of a small crowd around a table that from where she stood she could see little of what was so excitable. She stepped past the thresh hold and into the building, her attention then moving to the large white dragon at the less crowded end. Awe overtook her expression as she had never seen a dragon before but had only read of them in her self studies.

Her gaze did not linger - not wanting to seem rude - and moved over the rest of what she could see of the building. "I'm not impressed." An irritable voice declared from beside Chalcedony.

She sighed in exasperation. "Give it time Chane. We haven't been in here long enough for you to pass judgment."

The yellow and green clad ghost Chalcedony had met on her travels only gave an indifferent huff in response.

"You've got a creepy old hag looking at us." Chane warned with narrowed eyes. Chal turned her attention back to the spirit with a reprimanding glare. "Don't speak so crudely of the elderly. They are to be respected for their wisdom and not looked down upon."

Chane only shrugged, their gaze still on the old woman. Chal shook her head and looked in the direction that her companion was, her reddish brown eyes landing on the hunched over woman next to another much younger one dressed in lighter clothing. Indeed, the woman was looking them over, and her gaze had moved over to Chane as well. That was when Chal noticed the other ghostly figures in the guild, who's attention was also trained on the duo. She had never seen so many spirits on one building, it shocked her enough that she felt the air rush from her lungs.

"Dear Gods above. I've never seen so many spirits in one location." Chane nodded in agreement as they floated over to the nearest one.

Chal quickly came to the decision to head over to the elder woman to ask a few questions. Confidently, she made her way over with polite apologies when moving around a few wondering spirits.

Vas'On stepped up to the doors of the guild and sighed softly as he observed it. The nearly seven foot tall man had actually been part of the guild for some time, almost a three years at this point. One major reason he hadn't advanced in rank, the only one really, was that he didn't actually come back to the guild hall very often. He often missed the arrival of the new members because of this. He cocked his head to the side as he heard a commotion coming from inside of the building. Pushing the door open, he let his eyes fall on those nearby before he spotted Cel. With a soft grumble, he walked towards her "Guild Master" he said, his voice soft but deep, rumbling. Beautiful even.

Too beautiful for an orc, too ugly for an elf, that was him. To anyone familiar with him, he was a rather kind guy, known for being helpful whenever he came around. To the newcomers, he was quite an imposing figure. His bare flesh rippled with powerful muscles and every step's weight was augmented by the large swords strapped to his back. Partly an orc, his frowning face was enough to appear threatening, and his smile made people wish for the frown.

It had been a year since he'd last been here. He didn't show it, but he was always surprised that their elderly guild master hadn't died yet.

He looked towards Milby "I see the snack hasn't changed" he grinned then looked at Eirzen, suddenly having a deep desire to test his strength against the small woman. He had no idea where this urge came from, though it always did when facing someone he wasn't sure he could beat. He then turned his attention back to the Guild Master and the woman she was talking to. It was strange hearing both of them talk to beings not there "Nice swords" he said. He had respect for people who used two swords as he did.

Listening to the chinchilla knight laugh to herself and go on about being almighty made Chimer looked to the elf with some concern as he began to wonder if he and Vita had perhaps played along a tad too much with the little act and as result inflated Milby’s ego to a ridiculous size. After all having someone climb atop your head just because they felt they could wasn't something one normally did on a wim right? Then again the compliments and praise Milby gave to the two were kind of nice so Chimer decided to at least allow Milby to regale them with one tale.

“I think I know of just the right kind of tune to accompany a retelling of one of your tales” he said picking up his instrument back off of the table. Though before he started the sound of the large wooden doors opening caught his attention. Someone had entered the guild hall, but with the crowd around him he could hardly see who it was.

Deciding to find out who had arrived later Chimer began playing the tune he had in mind allowing Milby the time to share a story.

Thought of this video when it came to Milby's request for a melody to accompany her regaling everyone with her stories.

Only need to watch up to the 30 Second count to get the general idea of the feel of the music, though you can always go beyond to enjoy your synopsis of Beowulf in semi song form.

The dragon leaned down towards the table, holding his head beside the newcomers, "Do excuse the rodent, she has a flair for dramaticism and a head bigger than her entire person." He glanced towards the attention-sponge of a creature, amusement plain in his eyes. "Why I'd sell her to a circus would she not duel the guests." It was a longrunning joke between the two that Milby would be a rather impressive act, he could easily imagine her spouting famous lines from melodrama, though the tiny knight's thirst for adventure removed any possibility of that happening it was a fun idea.
He knew from experience she was a rather good actor, however.

The streets of Dawnspire were busy and bustling at this time of day, last minute stragglers rushed to buy their loaves of bread and baskets full of all kinds of fruit and vegetable, foreign and exotic from strange lands the ships hailed from. The sun was still high though beginning its slow descent to night, the air taking on a strengthening chill as the various surfaces of stone, wood and weaving began to cool.
The docks were always rather cold no matter the season nor weather, wind cooled by the vast sea it blew in from rustled cloaks and picked up any unfastened hats or scarves. This strong wind fuelled the sails of all manner of ships; travellers from coasts far and near, traders from long-past lands carrying bolts and bundles of silk, satin and other fine cloths and trinkets to the humble fishing vessels whose sailors called Dawn home, ships much like their people were diverse and varied, gathered together in this strange hub of interesting cultures and customs. The rich walked alongside the penniless here, the rare occasion where both rungs of the ladder tread common ground with fear nor ill-intent.

The scruffy wizard walked briskly through the crowd staying close to one edge as he tried to avoided bumping into anyone one his way towards Dawnspire's outer gate. The temptation to to simply shift into his sparrow form and fly away right where he stood was almost overpowering, though he quickly reminded himself that while magic was not a rare sight, odd talents such as that were still seen as strange if seen at all. Narythus did not want any unneeded attention, the again he disliked even needed attention. At last coming to a small gap between two buildings he slipped into the side street. It appeared to be the edge of a fishmonger's store, one of many and stinking of fish though his wares seemed rather small and unappetising compared to his competitors. perhaps a bad daily catch, or simply the last few 'crumbs' if one might say of previously impressive stocks. The mage stopped, leaning back against the earthen wall and breathing in relief to be free of the suffocating miasma of the crowd. At this time of day such a place was an assault on the senses, a deafening conglomerate of noise, sights and smells assailed those unused to the fray- although today of all days it seemed busy enough to deter even those who frequent it.

Regaining composure Narythus stepped away from the wall, swiftly glancing around to check if he had any company: none. The day was windy, but it didn't seem unmanageable, the sky clear of any clouds that threatened rain or storm. One last check assured him he was alone as he quickly adjusted his coat, breathing in before shifting into another form.

A small, brown sparrow flew upwards from the back of the store, landing for a moment at the edge of the straw roof to find his bearings. Despite him practising for many years he still wasn't quite accustomed to this form, he much preferred and defaulted to the cat more often than not, though had to admit the advantage of flight -however bad he was at it- was definitely an upside of the tiny bird. Hopping from the edge he open his wings, taken off guard by how much stronger the sea wind was at this size as he tumbled backwards in the air. Frantically flapping his wings he managed to stabilise himself, heart beating fast as the panic slowly subsided and he began his flight. The sparrow swooped down a ways trying to fly where the wind would have least effect on the tiny feathered frame as he made his way towards the city's protective walls. Naryhtus made a mental note to study next on the flight of birds in hopes it may help him improve his shaky ability.

Dawnspire was girt by a thick, vibrant forest in which the Guild Home was nestled, not far from the main road between the City gates and various other towns and districts. The trees were thick and shady, keeping low he ducked beneath branches and flitted past bustles of leaves as the heavy wooden structure of the Guild Hall closer. Narythus eyed the sentinel crows warily, they let him pass with little more than the occasional, unsettling caw, but even so they scared him. Then again, he was scared by many things.
Approaching an open window the small bird shot open his wings, slowing himself to a gentle glide as he landed with a hop on the mossy frame. A curious voice caught his attention the instant he arrived, flitting over to the dusty rail of the loft that circled the top of the hall he looked down to see whatever was causing the commotion, only to be taken aback in astonishment as his eyes settled on the assortment of strange fellows. The few times he'd visited the hall it had been empty or as good as such, he'd met only very few adventurer's aside from the scary old crone, and those adventurer's seemed rather uninteresting at the time, most humans from Dawn with few tales to tell. It seemed the scruffy mage had arrived at peak time today.

In the hall below him was an array of awfully strange people, a dragon of all things, a kenku singing a ballad to a tiny chinchilla wielding a glorified toothpick-of-a-sword, a strange elf who appeared not from these parts. Only moments after he arrived came even more odd adventurers, a strangely tall and well built... He'd like to say orc, but the man had oddly elven features, then the three who gave him a rather unnerved feeling. The small, hunched yet somehow still imposing figure of the old woman beside one much younger, her face painted with an unsettling expression- or lack thereof. Then another stranger, a human with twin swords at her side speaking of ghosts and apparitions. Finally, Narythus opened his wings once more and swooped down into the main space of the hall, taking him perch on the back of a wooden chair that was pulled up to the wall as the sparrow watched whatever was happening in hopes of an explanation.

Chal gave a polite smile accompanied by a bow as she answered. "Greetings, my name is Chalcedony Red and I've come asking for membership."

She ignored the spirits comment in favor of the older woman and a tall man whom had just approached. His compliment on her swords made her mildly nervous, but she hid it behind a kind smile and another bow. "Why thank you, they belonged to my grandfather."

"What's with this guys height? And he's got swords. Hey, maybe he can teach you how to wield yours properly?" Chane cackled as they floated back over in a lazy lounged position. Chal chose to ignore her rude companion in favor of looking like a normal sane individual in front of company.

The question though, was a curiosity as the man didn't seem to look like an Orc nor did he appear to be Elven. His bare chest rippled with muscles that Chal knew would have other women rushing to have a chance at trying to impress him. The last thing she took note of was his swords, much bigger than her own, but also appearing more worn than her own. Chane had a point. Maybe she could somehow ask him to teach her without appearing naïve.

Eirzen didn't take long to give an answer.

"New objective accepted."

She wasn't dumb despite what her answers might suggest. She understood the subtext that came with protecting younger adventurers. There was more to it than just being a protector. The task also involved teaching the less experienced to improve as adventurers. Eirzen however didn't understand what her past had to do with it.

Two additional adventurers came to meet with Cel. One was a brand new adventurer, and perhaps might be Eirzen's first charge. The other had been with the guild for a while but they hadn't ranked up due to lack of activity in the guild. The orcish elf always had a look on his face when he saw Eirzen, but Eirzen didn't understand what he was thinking.

Vita smiled sweetly as her eyes strained to look above her head at the rodent apparently spinning on it. Though, she couldn't say it was the most comfortable feeling in the world, as she could feel the Chinchilla's feet messing up her perfectly managed mane. She struggled to keep her smile plastered onto her face as Milby spoke egotistically while using the poor elf as her mount.

Before she could even open her mouth to complain, the Kenku beside her began speaking as he picked up his instrument. As much as she loved singing, with a rodent on her head messing up her hair that took hours to manage with a crowd watching every move the three made--She didn't know the tales of the great Dread Milby, yes. That was the only reason for her not participating at this moment, she told herself.

As Chimer began his song, Vita opted to sit down and listen calmly. When the dragon spoke to them before the Kenku had a chance to strum she put a soft smile on her face, nodding lightly to the words. " I don't think a great adventurer like Milby would take kindly to being put forth in a circus of all sorts. " She giggled, her hand gracefully covering her mouth as she did so.

As the music began to play, with all that was happening around them--The elven woman began to space out. Her emerald pupils darting around the hall for anything else she could focus her attention on. Not to say the music wasn't great, though what it attracted didn't exactly help her situation. Her bare feet were planted firmly onto the wooden floor, not that she condoned cutting down any trees--But it still held some life. She was able to feel the forest, the only thing that kept her at peace or would have. She noticed a disturbance in the thick wilderness that the guild hall was surrounded by. A strange little bird.

She looked up to where the bird had landed, noticing it scanning the area and looking at all the variety of peoples. She found it quite strange, while birds were intelligent creatures by her definition, she never seen such a curious one before. She kept her eyes firmly on the small creature, when it suddenly opened it's wings and swooped down. Oh my, that almost gave her a heart attack. Looking towards it again, she noticed it settling down on a far away wooden chair. Very peculiar.

Ren's amused expression faded as he watched the elf's eyes grow distant. He wouldn't claim to understand the newcomer's thoughts nor feelings, though it seemed something was indeed bothering her, and Milby, while she had no ill-intent was likely only worsening the situation.
"No, the dread Milby wouldn't." He laughed with a low rumble. "But, and this is something we have discussed," he gave the dancing rodent a stern look, "she would do well to learn the importance of personal space. Particularly to people she'd only just met." Carefully and with precision that appeared much practiced the white dragon gently caught the rodent's tail between his teeth and lifted her up and away from the elf's hair, holding her suspended for a moment till she decided to climb onto his head.

Milby's show concluded, much of the gathered crowd had begun to turn away as chatter started up inside the hall once more, though low enough for the vast majority to listen to Chimer's song.

The sparrow watched curiously the spectacle before him, the sight was perhaps one of the strangest things he'd ever seen. Every so often he would hop along the back of the chair, trying to get a better look at the influx of strangers surrounding him. Narythus quickly took note not to bother the armoured mouse hanging from the dragon's jaws, he tended to avoid threats- no matter how small. Though admittedly his curiosity about the dragon was quite compelling.

He perched at the end closest to the small group now gathered around the scary old crone, listening intently on whatever they may be speaking of. Eavesdropping was not uncommon for him and he felt no shame for it, one would be very surprised the sorts of things people would confide in a cat or sparrow about, the sorts of things they'd never dare speak of had they known him better than a passing shadow. Though he felt a chill in his feathers as their talk turned to ghosts and similar such unsettling apparitions. The sort of which he'd occasionally seen in his cat form, though he lacked the means and overall had no desire to communicate with them, at least it answered his question that when cats stare seemingly at nothing, it quite possibly is a ghost. Narythus feared the power of mind mages, jittering nervously he hopped away, wishing to hear no more.

The sparrow flitted forwards to the table only for a hand to come down beside him, shooing him away from the surface as two of the adventurers took their seats. Quick enough so as to avoid the lazily waving hand he hopped to the floor, opening his wings to glide softly downwards. A busy floor was a bad place for a small bird, with the bustling of feet and furniture that threatened him he quickly ducked backwards towards the wall, shifting into his other much more familiar form; a rather scruffy, orange cat now slinking his way among the various legs and bags in his path towards an open window leading out into the Guild Grounds.

When he'd first entered the hall he thought he'd gone unnoticed, as was most often the case. Though as Narythus leapt up to the windowcil and turned to take a last look at the group he'd originally been watching he froze, the elf was looking directly at him. Momentarily stunned he stared wide-eyed at his observer, hardly noticing as the lanterns hanging from the loft above began to illuminate the room as the darkness of sunset befell the hall.

Vita could barely hear the words of the dragon as her focus was on the strange bird, though she broke eyesight to look at him. She smiled graciously. " Oh, I didn't mind-- Really. Though I would prefer some warning when I am being mounted. " She giggled at her little joke, only to quickly turn back to the bird with a blank like expression. Then she saw it hopping around, and nearing other guild-members arriving at it's table. She smiled softly, thinking they would be great company for the little one. That expression nearly immediately turned to a new sour one as one of the members shoo'ed away the poor fellow.

This action elicited a new feeling from the elven. It was just a little birdie, how much trouble could it cause from your sitting needs? She huffed slightly as she thought to herself, keeping her gaze on the moving sparrow. Then, the sparrow was suddenly no more, in it's place was a rather cute feline creature. Oh my! It was ginger. Vita would hate to admit, but red and ginger fur, hair or even freckles were quite her aesthetic. The only way this day could possibly be better would be if it had stripes, yes, one's that are only a few shades darker than it's fur. Vita shook of the thoughts as her wondering eyes could barely keep up with the creature even if she wasn't day dreaming.

She had lost him for a moment, though noticing that cute orange hue in the crowd--She saw the feline leap up onto the windowsill. Oh~ It was an athletic thing, even though all cats could do that..Vita was easily impressed. She was practically grinning ear to ear in a closed smile when she saw it lock eyes with hers. She immediately rose from her seat, walking in it's direction and keeping her eyes firmly planted on it--If it should plan to make an escape. Her pace was only to be described as a fast walk, though it looked like she would break out in a run if the guild hall wasn't so crowded.
