Korie Obsidian

Location: Open area Alley - Zane and Korie inside a Water Cage
With: Korie, Zane, Kan ( RandomBlobMan RandomBlobMan )

  • The water prison enclosed both Zane and Korie inside as the hired security of the Chainbunkle got out of the way. As many of the hired security guards fell back due to fighting Zane, one guard stayed behind to see the outcome. Then suddenly a very muscular man came up to him and asked what is going on. At first, the guard was surprised to see the muscular man, then slowly eased up. "Nothing really sir. We are hired by the Chainbunkle family and the son of the Chainbunkle family has been promised to wed the princess of the Obsidian Kingdom, Ariel Obsidian. However, the son doesn't want to get married and is running away. His friend stayed behind to help him escape and now the Obsidian Knight is now engaging with his friend. The Obsidian Knight is the illegitimate daughter of the Obsidian Family. Her name is Korie Obsidian. Sir, if you help us defeat that man who is getting in the way of our dear lord's happiness, you will be paid very handsomely." explained the guard to Kan.

Meanwhile, inside the water cage, Zane was facing off against Korie. His sharpless blue sapphire sword was held below his waist in a horizontal position. "Korie, I don't want to fight you", said Zane. "Unfortunately Zane, if you are going to get in Ariel's way then I have to stop you. Ariel does not mean any harm to Odd. She just wants to talk to him", said Korie. "Korie, I am sorry but when it comes to Ariel, I really don't trust her. I am not even sure why you still want to fight for her especially after what she did to us", said Zane. "You mean what you did to me. But this isn't about us Zane. It's about them", said Korie. "I don't trust that woman. So I will beat you and get to Odd", said Zane.

Korie sighed and Zane took up a fighting stance. Obviously, there is past history between the two and because of that, they are standing in opposition to each other. They both looked at each other as they stare each other down both too stubborn to back down. After a moment of silence, Korie rushes towards Zane with her sword in hand. Korie swing her sword down vertically but Zane moved to the right to avoid the swing. Zane then uppercut slash diagonally to which Korie simply moved her sword to block Zane's blade. Though Zane's sword was a blunted sword meaning that it will not cause any injury to her, Korie still knew that she could not get hit by Zane's attack due to his ability. After being parried, Korie allowed Zealantis, her sword, to generate a gush of water.

This took Zane by surprise as he was pushed back by the surge of water from her blade. By creating the space between her and Zane, Korie then swung her sword in front of her as multiple water slashes fired out the sword and towards Zane.

"Meditative Art: Repulsion Clash", muttered Zane as moved his sword and strikes at the water blades that came towards him. As hit the water blades that were coming back, instead of cutting them down Zane instead hit the water slash back which collided with the other water slashes. Zane would do this to the other slashes that came towards him thus allowing Zane to use Korie's attack as a defense against her own attack.

Odd Chainbunckle

Location: Drinks All Around
With: Jasper ( DarkKitsune DarkKitsune )

  • Odd thought that he can finally relax but suddenly his companion took notice of something. Perhaps it was the physiology of his species that granted him an advanced hearing. He was after all a human. Immediately his companion began to switch capes with him. The man then told him that they were planning on splitting up but to meet back at his place. It was a den on the outskirts of town. Odd took his cloak and gave him his. "Thank you for helping me out! I really owe you one", said Odd. "All right then, I will meet you at your place then", said Odd. If some fight was going to happen, then Odd believes that he can use the confusion to get away.

‘Oh and it involves the royal family as well. GOD DAMN IT JASPER!’ she thought to herself, but she kept her fake smile and spoke carefully.
“Oh why hello there Princess Ariel! I didn’t know you got engaged! I was just waiting for my brother!”
It wasn’t exactly a lie. She wasn’t in the kingdom that often, so any drama or gossip involving the royals had never been any of her concern. But now she could assume, for some reason, her brother had been helping Ariel's fiancè or, whatever, escaped the engagement. She introduces herself. “My name is Caster. I’m an adventurer, so apologies for me being out of the loop!”

‘Come on Jasper, hurry up!’

When she heard footsteps, she was relieved. She saw someone covering an oddly fancy cape over their head. It had to be her brother because it didn’t look like a hood and how was he supposed to fool Ariel without one anyway? He had his sword in hand, ready for a battle. She recalled hearing that he maxed out his magic limitations.

“Hey! There you are Jasp!”

She let go of the princess. It may have been stupid. But it should give whoever he was helping some leeway. He took the cape off over his head and she muttered low enough for only Jasper to hear it.

‘Call me Cas or Caster, dear brother of mine’

He’d have questions. But she knew he’d have to wait till later and she could figure he knew as well. Jasper coughed.

“Hey Cas! Long time no see how have you been, Sis!”

‘That was better acting than I was expecting…then again we do have the same mother.’

“Is that the princess?!” He asked dramatically. Caster replied, waiting for the other guy to escape through the door.

“Yes, it is she claimed she was here for her fiancè. How about sitting down and ordering something to drink? You still prefer water or berry juice, right?”

————-

It took a minute for Jasper to catch on after running down the stairs. Another stranger had seemed to be involved in this mess. Did Odd know her? But how did she know his name? Why does she keep calling him ‘brother?’ Though they do have the same colored hair. They could probably pass as siblings. He also noticed she was trying to keep the princess in place.

“See, this is the brother I mentioned.”

‘Yeah…haha…’

He thought in his head. He was honestly creeped out by how much she knew. Maybe she just knew his dad, who could never keep his mouth shut. Unless it was about his fox half. He then speaks up, speaking to the princess. Waiting for Odd to get away at this rate, he might as well start some sort of brawl. From the looks of it, some of the other people were eager enough for something. Everyone was staring at them!

He told Ariel.

“Sorry your majesty, my sister is just a very talkative soul. She loves meeting new people.”

The woman shouted “I am older than you!”

He snorted “that doesn’t make you any less sociable or immature.”

At least Jasper knew that logic applied to Odd. Waiting for the man’s departure, he noticed ‘Caster’s’ hands behind her back and a weird light coming from them.

‘She’s a light user, isn’t she?’ He thought to himself.

She then spoke to the bar tender

“Some berry juice and two apple ciders please!”

This was not what Jasper had expected when he left home that morning. But now he was stuck with it. He still needed to give Odd that Lecture though. The lights started to flicker.

‘Caster seems to be having fun with this….’

He had a strong grip on his sword. He was ready for a fight. Considering he didn’t know why she was flashing the light to begin with.

Ariel Obsidian

People: Odd, Ariel, ???
Location: Drinks All Around
With: Jasper, Casper DarkKitsune DarkKitsune

  • Princess Ariel was about to go upstairs. That was until someone in a hooded cape out of the room and was proceeding to come down the stairs. Princess Ariel stopped herself from going up the stairs but that was when the female known as Casper rushed up to meet the hooded stranger. She took off the hood revealing it to be that of another man. Casper claims that is her brother Jasper. And from the looks of it, he confirms that it was his name but it can also be taken that the male was simply going along with the story that his female is spewing out of her mouth. Though, the story is believable though as they do look similar.

In the meantime, Odd peeked from the room and caught a glimpse of Princess Ariel. "I did not know she was that gutsy to come and find me herself", said Odd. But thanks to the siblings being a distraction, Odd can use it to make his escape and meet with his new companion at his place. Luckily there was a window at the end of the hallway. Odd can get out of the building by going through that window. Odd started to make his way forward.

"I am glad that you two are able to meet. But I must really meet with Odd. I really need to talk to him" she told the sibling. She began to make her way up the stairs not knowing that Jasper was holding a sword behind his back. It appears that the princess was headstrong in getting to Odd. Odd, however, just got to the window and was working on unlocking the hatch on the window.

"Princess Ariel huh? How fortunate for us to come to the tavern. You know a princess should not be walking around with an escort", said one of the men from the back of the tavern. At the table in the back, there sat 4 men. Three of them looked like goons however, the fourth male gave off an aura of intimidation and someone to be weary. But nonetheless, the 4th male did not speak. Instead, he allowed the other 3 goons to speak on his behalf. One of the males from the table got up and walked over to the group by the stairs. The other two males followed the male while the 4th male sat at the table just observing for now.

"You want someone to marry Princess. You should marry. Come on now, let's elope. The three of us will show a really good time" said one of the goons as they licked their lips. Goon #1 then look to the two siblings. "You two back off unless you want to get involved in some trouble," said Goon #1. Then Goon #2 walked boldly up to the princess and grabbed the princess's wrist. "You're coming with us !", demanded Goon #2.

"No let me go," said Ariel as she struggle to break free from Goon #2. Goon #3 then held his sword out to the sibling. "Make a move and we will gut you", said Goon #3. But just then the sound of someone running made its way to the commotion that was being unfolded. It was Odd as he came to the railing of the stairway as he heard the commotion before he was about to leave. "Hey, let her go!", yelled Odd.

Things had gotten out of hand way to fas then the two would like to admit. Jasper pulled out his sword. He retorted.

“Really? A dagger? Man, these humans are something special.”

Caster pulled out her bow. Saying

“Besides, you’d think they would have guessed not to bring a flimsy little dagger to a bow fight. And! They have the audacity to mess with The Princess, her fiancè and my brother’s friend!”

She started loading her bow. She used special arrows that wouldn’t wound the men too deeply. They were laced with Hydrangea in a way to where it only induced fainting. Jasper started fighting off the goons, switching between his human form and his fox form. It was the average size, if not a little smaller, than a silver fox. So every stab these goons have attempted to make didn’t work out that well. Jasper calculated his shifting just so he wouldn’t get stuck in fox form for the next few weeks. However, Jasper was nearly a distraction. Caster shoots the leader of the Charade with a bow. It hit his arm, and it didn’t take long for the effects to kick in. She said

“No one is harming anyone here!…besides these pervs.”

Jasper then managed to make a dip cut into goon #1’s ankle, preventing him from walking. Caster shoots Goon #2 and goon #3 then goon #4

“So much for using light magic as a distraction…” She told Jasper as she helped the Princess up. Jasper got hold of Odd.

“You need to go now—“

There was a crinkle and then there was an arrow in goon #1. Jasper raised an eyebrow and Caster replied.

“What Jasper? He was so annoying!”

Jasper just shrugged.

“Thanks for the help.”

He told her, sending Odd through yet another shadow into his house. Dizziness reclaimed him once more. Caster grabbed hold of Jasper before he could fall.

“Well, you are my brother after all! Though I’ll explain that more later. I should get you home. Uhhh can anyone help the princess back to the palace?” She asked the crowd. Looking around.

  • The sibling made quick work of the three goons. It didn't take even a minute for all three to be taken down. This is why he preferred that he did the job himself. The sister though knew that he was with the goons and so fired a shot at him while he was sitting in the back as he was silently observing. As the arrow approached him, the man just glared at the arrow coming straight on. Just as it was about to hit him square in the head, it suddenly stopped in front as if some kind of invisible force held it in place. It was inches away from penetrating into his skull. As the arrow stagger midair, it then suddenly broke in half. The invisible force that was holding it in place released its hold over it and the broken arrow fell onto the table.

The man got up as all the people looked at him. Some began to whisper to each while others had terror in their eyes. One of the patrons said out loud "Wait a minute, I know him. He is Barnabas the Kingslayer. He killed the King three years ago", said one of the patrons. Another patron also spoke up. "It's true. I saw his wanted poster", said one of the patrons. Immediately all the customers got up as they want to escape and run away from him. Nothing good can happen to be in the same room as a murderer who killed the king. "Sit down," he commanded. As he said those words, a cold killing intent emitted from him and everyone sat down as they are overcome with fear. They felt that if they were to run they would be killed on the spot. Barnabas continue to walk until he came to the siblings, Odd, and Princess Ariel. "I told the current King that I can handle this without help but he wanted to ensure that both Odd and Ariel are married.", said Barnabas.

"The current King, you mean my brother. You were sent by my brother", Ariel asked. "Yes, since you said you didn't want to get married to Odd", said Barnabas. Odd was listening as this murderer spoke. Odd knew of him. But he didn't know the King was the one who was forcing them to get married. But why was Ariel's brother so insisted on getting them married? Not only that didn't this guy kill his father? Why is he working with him in the first place? Unless he was involved in killing his father. And he wouldn't do that. He knew Ariel's brother personally.

The goons on the floor laughed. "Now you're going to get it. Wait till our boss gets through with you", said goon #1. Barnabas looked to the goon who was sniveling on the ground. "You are a waste of life. Why don't the three of you just die?", said Barnabas. And suddenly a killing intent was sent to all of the goons that were on the ground. And immediately they all fell in limp. All the patrons had fear in their eyes. The three goons were all dead. And all it took is for Barnabas to tell them to die and they did.

Odd looked up to Barnabas fear trembling in his body. He was powerless. He couldn't do anything. "Zane!", he thought in his head. But gathering up his courage, Odd ran down the stairs. The portal that Jasper opened up was still there. "Let's get out of here. We are taking Ariel with us", said Odd. Odd grabbed Ariel. "Odd?", she questioned as she was dragged up the stairs. "Come with us," yelled Odd. "Who told you to leave?", commanded Barnabas as he sent that same murderous intent up to both Odd and Ariel. The murderous intent just froze them and kept them still. Odd couldn't move nor can he run.

Kirara Genkei
Location: Drink All Aroud tavern

Kirara watched as the otherworlder in front of her gone through several phases of confusions and disbelief. She wasn't exactly sure how one should go about telling a new otherworler that they had been pulled across dimension but it sure was entertaining watching his expressions. Unfortunately he didn't seems to be from the same place as her grandfather. Too bad, she wanted to let her grandfather talk with someone from Nippon, he seemed to have suffered a severe homesickness lately.

"Well, my grandfather did pretty well as an adventurer. He explored the uknown land for a living and trained hard in swordmanship for years just so he could impress my grandmother, that was how the Genkei family was born." Kirara had a bright smile on her face as she retells the little story of their family. Their love story was one of her favorite to hear when she was a kid.

"Nowadays he can only stares out of the window though," Downing another glass, it seemed Kirara was about to start another story but the moment was interrupted by an unexpected event unraveling in the tavern. The princess was here! and she was looking for her would be husband?! What were they doing here. Another unexpected thing, Sittra suddenly got riled up and went to follow the princess. Kirara only raised her eyebrows, she was sure she just witnessed the moment an otherworlder got smitten by the princess' beauty. You can't, Sittra, she already has a fiancee.

Things then escalated quickly from there. Some people sprung up from their seat and tried to kidnap the princess, but was quickly taken out. The last one, however, easily deflects the attack and put everyone in freeze just by the sheer intensity of his aura. Even Kirara herself who was simply sitting in the corner could feels a shiver creeping down her spine. The man claimed to have been working with the order from the current king, but if her father teached er anything about working with the royals, was too not trust anyone who didn't have a royal badge on them. She would put her trust with the princess on this one, and so the correct action for her to help the princess and her future husband to escape.

Now the question would be how she would do it. The thug man had the same intensity as her mother even arrow fears him. She also didn't have her weapons so just straight up combating him would be no good. She looked at what she had on her disposal and started mixing more drink. This time, instead of using the glass she would use one of the largest bottle provided in the drink all around bundle. champagne, soda and the sparkling golden powder. A mix usually reserved for celebration. She shook the bottle a few times and could feel the build up within.

"Princess! I'm a big fan of you!" Forcing herself to act oblivious, Kirara stood up from her seat with the large bottle carried in front of her chest. She ran towards the princess' direction but when she got close enough to the thug leader she aimed the bottle at him and quickly unplugged the lid. A large stream of foam erupted from the bottle as it release all of its pressure outside. Hopefully it can at least buy some time. She looked at the princess and the future husband and muttered a single word to them.

Kan was more or less surprised by the guard's ability to deliver the situation and offer a reward to him in return of his service. Of course, trusting a stranger with such information could come back badly should the stranger have ill intentions. But he wasn't in charge of these guards, so he didn't have to worry about that. Regardless of the security discipline of the guards, he was intrigued by the current situation he has been informed with.

Kan thought about for a moment, all the while two started their fight. Kan's focus went back to the fighting at hand as the sound of conflict got more violent. On one hand, there was the promise of a handsome reward for helping them apprehend the man. The man himself did not get a say on it, however. The only reasonable answer Kan could muster was investigating it himself. He stepped forward to the water cage. With one hand on his sword, he reached forward with an axe handle to see if he could safely pass through the water.

That’s why he maxed out his magic. That spell consumes too much energy! How many times has he needed to use it?!’ Is what Caster first thought, though it was too late. Caster tells Odd and Princess Ariel.

“What are you two waiting for? Go through the shadow! And take my brother with you! He’s not in the condition to fight anymore,—“

She felt Jaspers' forehead. He was dazed and weak.

“He is running a fever, and is on the verge of fainting. He’s maxed out his magic for the next few days at least. I don’t know how much experience you two have in fighting, but if need be, you guys can just blindly attack someone with random hard or sharp objects. That doesn’t require aim, just blunt force. Keep each other safe, I’ll stay behind with the pink-haired girl and assist her and deal with this barnabus guy. He can’t harm you if he’s distracted with us. Jasper just needs rest and help with the fever. Stay safe Guy… Lady Majesty and watch my brother, will you? Tell him no linking shadows together anymore as well!” She explained, noticing what the pink-haired girl was gonna do. What are a few other unpredictable equations? Or just strangers.

She ran down the stairs.

“Run!” She heard as she witnessed some sort of makeshift foaming smoke bomb. Once it cleared up she had hoped the three got away. She shot several arrows repeatedly at barnabus however she shot them at different angles and different targets. Unless it was a forcefield, how well could he handle dealing with them with his attention divided.Caster shouted at the girls companion.

“COME ON BLONDIE TIME TO BRAWL”

It hurt her. Her own voice hurt her ears but she needed to make as many folks got involved as she could. Humans have weaker hearing than foxes do. She just hoped no one noticed her flinching at the sound of her own voice.

  • After Zane defended himself against Korie's water slashes, the water slash just fell to the ground leaving a small puddle. Zane looked up to Korie. She was stubborn and she was not going to let him go. Just then Korie felt an axe handle hit against the water prison she had created. Korie looked over to where she felt the pressure and saw Kan hitting against it. It appears he wanted to come inside. In response, she increases the water output and thereby increasing the density. She looked over to him as she gave him a face to not to interfere. Zane saw this as well but perhaps this might be how he can get out of the cage. Because the water prison she enacted around them was not magic. It was erected due to Korie's water-bending abilities. If it is a spell, the mage will simply cast the spell and the effect will be active as long as the spell is active. However, in Korie's case, she has to concentrate on maintaining it. And at the same time, she was fighting him as well meaning that her focus is diverted.

This is where he can escape. If that man can interfere or make an attempt to come in, Korie will have to divert her focus on maintaining the water prison. But then this will make her vulnerable to attack by him. But just then Zane felt fear and a coldness. Zane's eyes open wide. This fear. This emotion. It wasn't his. It was Odd. Panic arose within Zane. Odd was in trouble. "Korie, let me go. Odd is in trouble", said Zane. Korie looked at him. "Don't worry Zane. Odd is safe. Ariel just wants to talk to him", she said assuring Zane he is okay. But Korie didn't understand. Zane knew that he was not safe.

"I am sorry, Korie. But I want to believe you but everything my gut is telling me he is in danger," said Zane as he sheathed his sword into it's sheath. He then placed his sheathed sword on his waist and leaned forward while holding the handle of his blade. "So I am getting out of here", said Zane. "Zane, I am sorry but I can't let you go not until Ariel talks to him", said Korie. "It is no longer about that anymore", said Zane as sparks of electricity started to generate around his sheath. "Electricity? No, it's not.", said Korie suprised. No, it wasn't electricity. It looks like electricity but it's actually an illusion. An illusion of electricity created by Zane's willpower. "Meditative Art: Raigeki Strike", said Zane as he pushed off the ground and dashed forward at a blinding speed passing by Korie and towards the water prison that was keeping him there. Zane unsheathed his sword which now had blue electricity flowing through it and he slashed at the pillar. His sword was able to get penetrate the water pillar but not completely thus stopping his frontal assault. "Damm this is hard", said Zane as pushing as hard as he can for his sword to cut through the pillar. Korie saw Zane's attempt to escape luckily the water pillar was thick enough to stop him. It was lucky that Korie fortify the water prison even more when she saw Kan trying to get in. But Zane is almost in the process of cutting through it and getting out. "I am sorry Zane but I can't let you leave", she said as she focused on increasing the output of water on that one pillar. However, because she was focusing on that one pillar so intensely the strength in the other water pillar diminished. This would mean that Kan can pushed through and penetrate into the water prison while she was focusing on keeping Zane in if he wanted to get involved.

Before the curious man could follow the Obsidian Princess, a bunch of things happened, namely, yet another conspiciously dressed figure emerged fron the stairs. Sittra caught the dark haired woman's name was apparently Cas but before long, a trio of people appropached the Obsidian, Cas and the latter's brother and they soon engaged in a fight. Feeling stressed, Aesop observed with shock and disbelief as Cas's brother magically switched between being a person and a fox, the fourth assaulter calmly snapping arrows attached at his forehead and shadow portals appearing up the stairs. Sittra could only spectate in disbelief as he considered whether he drank just a bit too much and this was all merely a hallucination. "What? Did this guy just turn into a fox?", he couldn't help blurting out during the fight. However, his reverie was broken as the fourth thug stood up. Sittra felt fear of a kind he never felt before, not even the thrill of stealing, no, the closest thing to death he ever felt was working on corpses, and even then it wasn't even close. Sittra kicked one of the Barnabas' companions to see whether they really died and judging from the way their bodies slumped, Barnabas somehow killed them with just a look? And he was going to kill them all, wasn't he? Whether this was a dream of sorts, no way he was going to risk dying! The terror felt too real. He had to flee immediately, but he couldn't even move.
"COME ON BLONDIE TIME TO BRAWL", a person's voice, Cas's he recognized with a pause in his haze, reverberated through his mind. Sittra blinked himself out of his daze and he felt his mind switch gears as he observed his body kick into motion at the person's shout. He didn't feel in control of his actions as his body and mind switched to the third gear out of the freeze, flight or fight response. With a scream unlike anything Sittra ever emitted from his throat before, an obscene amount of adrenalin pumping through his veins, the terrified man grabbed a glass bottle from a nearest table, smashed it against said table and launched it at Barnabas's direction under the cover of Kirara's bombs, and then he recklessly without care for the consequences rushed through the cover in Barnabas's general direction, following the arrows and punched and kicked through the fog inexpertly, hoping to manage to hit Barnabas and not have his limbs snap in half like that arrow.

Kan watched as the lady gave him a threatening look and turned back to her opponent. He barely bothered to shrug and kept the handle against the pillar while patiently waiting. He was given the opportunity to listen to their conversation. It appeared that the man went by Zane, and the woman by Korie. Zane seemed to be in a hurry, and Korie hellbent on stopping him. Apparently, the guard that filled him in on the story wasn't lying. The part of Zane's friend being in danger, however, was omitted. It was a drama in the big family, it seemed. He wasn't sure if it was a royal family or just a rich noble, but judging by the clothing he could see they were of position to afford such exquisite clothes. That brought him to a dilemma- whoever he helped, there was a chance the other side could take it personally.
The short dilemma held Kan's attention away from the fight, during which Zane attempted to cut through the water pillar. Korie's defense concentrated on Zane's side, and Kan leaned forward as the force he exerted on his axe pushed him further. Judging by the weakened strength, he suspected it was enough for him to push through. At that point, he had to make a decision. There was a chance for him to interfere in the situation, so he had to decide who to help. At that moment, he came to a realization- the first person to hit him, who was most likely Korie, would be his opposition. The guard had requested that he help Korie, but if she attacked him he had no choice but to defend himself. If Kan was more the narcissistic type, he would've done a high five with himself at this revelation.
As he pushed through with his arms, Kan was able to move through. Holding his breath as he entered the water pillar, the man attempted to push through the pillar before Korie could reinforce his side of the pillar.

  • Korie redirected her energy into that one pillar that Zane was trying to break through but as a result, the other water pillars that formed the base of her water prison got weaker. This allowed that stranger from earlier to come through the pillar. Even though it wasn't strong as before, it was pretty impressive that the man was able to bear that water pressure and come through. However, the distraction of the stranger entering the water prison was enough to distract Korie. As the stranger came into the water prison, it gave Zane a small window to cut through. Zane saw the strength of the water pillar decrease when the stranger came in and with Zane already giving all he had into slicing through, Zane was able to cut through the water pillar and come outside of the water prison.

This caused Korie to look back and seeing Zane outside of the water prison caused her to lose her concentration and the water prison dispersed. The water came down in the area splashing all around them. But at this time, Zane was taking a deep breath in and breathed out focusing all of the oxygen that he took in and redirected it into his legs. "Zane, wait!" she yelled but Zane didn't listen. "Meditative Art: Thunder Breathing Flash", said Zane, and immediately Zane disappeared from his spot leaving behind a small spark of electricity in his wake. Korie only saw Zane running at blinding speed toward the deeper parts of town. Persumably, he was running towards the Drinks All Around Tavern but Zane didn't know. He was running to where he felt Odd. But as he ran close to where Odd was, he was able to sense the surge of willpower of another individual. It was a familiar willpower signature. "Barnabas !", said Zane angrily as he ran through the streets of the Kingdom of Obsidian. The onlookers will see a blur of a man running forward and leaving behind in his trail only a spark of electricity.

Korie looked onward ahead as he watched Zane run off. She then turned her head to the stranger who came in now. She gave him another glare. "Why did you have to get in my way?", said Korie. "Are you a friend of Zane or perhaps a friend of Odd?", she asked.

"No, I'm a stranger."
Kan was more or less surprised and slightly disappointed as he saw Zane escape without a sweat. Seeing the man disappear, Kan let go of the sword on his back and placed his axe back on the belt. There they were, standing in the middle of the street. Only a trail of electricity showed that Zane was there moments ago. Kan could sense that he had only a small fraction of time to defend himself.
"One of your guards asked for help. But I didn't make it clear. I won't hold you back, if you're going to chase him I'll help."
He held no weapon in his hand, in an attempt to signal to her that he didn't mean any harm now. In an effort to get help, he glanced back at where the guard was, hoping to get confirmation of the request. Maybe, if the guard vouched for him, she would cut some slack off of him.

"...I was never the smartest of the bunch."
He complaining to himself. He always relied on his friends to pull up a better plan... by himself, the best he came up with were flawed plans. Such as this instant, where his demonstration of genius tactics fired right back at him. He could make up for it by tracking down this fellow by the name of Zane, and maybe get a grasp of the full story behind the conflict on the way as well.

  • Odd and Ariel were frozen in place like the rest of the patrons. This sensation, this murderous intention, kept them both in place. H needed to move but his limbs were stiff and wouldn't move. "What are doing Odd? Didn't you say you were going to travel the world and discover it? Was it all just words? You can't die here. Show a little backbone come on" he thought to himself. As Barnabas held Odd and Ariel in place as well as the rest of the patrons, he suddenly looked over to the woman yelling out how she is a big fan of the princess. Barnabas immediately took wary of that woman. For her to not be stunned or frozen in place, means that she has great willpower. Usually, those who can't move are those whose willpower Barnabas is able to dominate and subdue without physically doing so. He had his guard up while the woman held a large bottle in front of her chest. It appears she is going to be interfering and Barnabas was suspecting that she will toss that bottle at him as a distraction. However, it was the opposite. It was a smokescreen as a blast of steam erupted towards him. The steam blinded his vision however, he still held his hold on both Odd and Ariel as well as the rest of the patrons with his willpower.

As Barnabas was getting distracted, Odd listen to what Caster was saying. It appears there is a side-effect to Jasper's usage of the shadow portals. Caster further explains how the overuse of his abilities is causing him to have a fever before telling both him and Ariel to take Jasper and get out of there. He would then watch as she went to contend with the criminal at hand. Odd would watch within his eyesight as she fired arrows from different angles toward Barnabas as well as the bottle as well as someone charging at him. Barnabas can feel all the attacks focus on him. It was really rare for strangers to help another person out.

As the attacks came towards Barnabas, the air pressure around him would suddenly increase as if the gravity suddenly changed and increased. The arrows and the bottle abruptly fell to the ground in mid-trajectory as Barnabas released his Will Force to increase the air pressure around him. The man that was coming at him would feel the heaviness of the air pressure. That man would feel a huge weight on his body the closer he approached Barnabas and that weight will increase the closer the man got to Barnabas. It might also be possible for this man's body to either fall face flat to the ground or the pressure would be enough to make him fall onto his knee and stop his charge. Unless the man had some kind of hidden ability to counteract the increased pressure around him, the male will succumb to the heavy air pressure that is around Barnabas.

Through all this, Barnabas unfortunately still kept his hold on Odd and Ariel.
"What are you doing idiot? Everyone is fighting. You got to move. Move. MOVE!", he yelled. And finally, he was able to move. Odd broke whatever invisible hold Barnabas had over him. He gripped Ariel's wrist and pulled her with her as he ran towards the shadow portal. Odd sort of threw the princess into the shadow portal. Though Ariel didn't mind and she simply went through the portal. As she slipped into the shadow portal, Odd immediately went to Jasper and threw his arm around his shoulder Odd jumped into the portal before the portal shortly closed on them.

Barnabas would glance up the second floor seeing that the princess and Odd has escaped. Barnabas didn't expect Odd to break through with his will. He thought his will was weak but it appears he was incorrect. He then down at the other three that were in front of him. He then senses the will of another individual coming towards this location at great speeds. He was also like him. A Will Force user.
"I guess there is no point in holding hostages now", Barnabas said as he released his hold over all the patrons. Instantly all the patrons were able to move again. And the first thing they decided to do with their freedom was to get away from this madman. They all started to run out of the tavern all screaming for their lives. Though the panic frenzy of the patrons running in fear did not phase Barnabas. Instead, he kept his focus on the three in front of him. "It is indeed bizarre. I did not expect Odd and the princess to have much help. I thought I only had to deal with one person. Possibly two. Very strange indeed. You better pray that we don't meet again. I will not be as lenient", said Barnabas as he turned around and began to walk away. That is if the three (Caster, Sittra, & Kirara) allowed him to walk away.

Caster flinched at the blondes' screeching. Then she watched as her arrows were dropped to the ground, and she saw the others escape. Relief flooded over her. Caster got to thinking about a way to solve this situation…

‘Intention that can kill…and some sort of air magic or air manipulation, he also has a good grasp on this element. What could light do to it?’

She had to get the Blonde and the pink haired girl out of there. It wasn’t safe. At least Caster had her experience with the unknown. She didn’t know what experience they could have had.

‘Hope he doesn’t mind a few strangers coming with us.’

or at least that’s what she thought before the criminal decided to walk away. They could chase him.

‘No, it’d be smarter to regroup and think things through. Have a better plan for next time. Maybe Lady Ariel knows what his abilities are. So if the time comes, we'll have a better plan.’

She turned to the other two. Then she spoke this time, her voice soft.

“Are you two okay? That was really brave of you…”

She then remembers her original goal. Though it’d seem to be pointless.

“How about you come with me? I know where the shadow thing leads, it leads to the outskirts.”

She whispered that last part. She wasn’t going to go into too much detail in the case he was listening. He wanted something from the princess and she didn’t like that fact.

“My half brother knows a thing or two about the dark arts. Though, due to his human half, he lacks the tendency to be the most compatible… I also didn’t think he’d go into fox form, which was risky if he’d gotten injured. Follow me?”

She asks. She hoped they’d agree if that man was as dangerous as people claimed they could be in danger as well.

———-

Jasper was weak. Everything was freezing and if the Princess and Odd were discussing anything he wasn't paying attention all that much. All he could really think was they had escaped and nothing really came to mind. He'd made the mistake of using his magic to that existent all for what two strangers?

'Then some more joined and helped us...that's right'

Hopefully they're okay. Because goodness knows he isn't. 'Come on Jasper, snap out of it!'

It didn't take long for him to pass out cold on the floor. Hopefully that didn't worry them.

As he rushed at the man known as Barnabas, he felt himself slow down as surely as his distance to the other man closed. He felt heavy resistance at the front of his body, and even as Aesop tried to pull through and aim a punch, his body gave in as the pressure increased and he fell on one knee, his face contorted and narrowed in effort and confusion as he tried to move. No breakthrough came to him, he was stuck half-sitting on the floor before the man, who could presumably end him at his leisure. Not an enviable position. Sittra pondered what is he to do now, as he heard a man shout the words, "What are you doing idiot? Everyone is fighting. You got to move. Move. MOVE!"
The voice was familiar, but he didn't see what was going on, as he couldn't turn around. After an abrupt shuffling of feet against the wooden floor and creaking of stairs, all became silent. Before Barnabas spoke. Suddenly, he felt the strange pressure on his body ease and he fell on his back as the man now stared at the ceiling. Then, he slowly pulled himself to a nearby seat and turning, plopped into it and stared at Barnabas with a tired expression as most patrons ran off outside and away from this dangerous situation.
As Barnabas concluded his speech and turned to leave, Sittra felt a spike of defiance, as he said to the back of the man, not heeding the potential consequences. "You pray we will never see you again, old man, you pray!" However, Sittra didn't have it in him to follow or stop him, as Barnabas clearly had impossible tricks up his sleeve.
If Barnabas didn't respond to Sittra's taunt and just left, below events would happen, otherwise, it would depend on Barnabas' exact responding actions.
Relief flooding him the moment he saw Barnabas leave, Sittra hurried to look around to see whether Kirara and the rest were alright. It would seem that Genkei herself, and Cas, were okay, but neither Ariel, nor Jasper, nor the other man, Ariel's unwilling groom were visible anywhere? Did they run out with the crowd? He also saw the freaky shadow thing still there up the stairs. Deciding to ignore it, he looked at Cas as she came up and spoke to them.
"Brave? No. It was all fight or flight. I had just as little control over my self when I froze in terror when this guy used whatever psychological trickery was that, and after your words, my mind switched to the other side of the spectrum. To call it bravery would be an excercise in bitter irony", he said, as he looked down at the table with narrowed eyes. Certainly, the young man didn't like how the situation played out, that he was alive right now merely because some murderous guy felt that he had no need to kill them anymore.
"Huh, the shadow thing?", he said at Cas's next words.
"Erm," he said, "Kirara, you think that's it's safe?" he turned to look the pink haired woman. He had as seemed to be the norm no idea what was going on, so he supposed asking his "guide" of what they were to do could be his bet bet. "I guess I will trail around if she does", he said to Cas as he looked back at her. At her next words he suddenly burst out laughing.
"The dark arts? 'Tis what, Harry Potter?" as he said that, his laughter turned even more uncontrollable as he finally stopped after a while and slumped against the table in exhaustion. "Frankly, I have no idea what you're talking about. Is the fox switcheroo some sort of new Houdini trick?" he asked Cas, but he looked up at Kirara in silent question about their next move.

  • This man seems to be one of those types who have only muscles for brains and nothing else. But then again the man did not know what the situation was but still wanted to get involved. They mentioned that one of the guards asked for help and that he failed to make it clear. Korie looked over to the guard and he gave a triumphant nod to which Korie just gave a big sigh. "The Chainbunkle family really needs to hire capable guards", she uttered under her breath. She looked at the man. "That guard does not work with me. He is a personal guard for a very rich family. That means if you decide to take this job you are being hired by the Chainbunkle and not by me. I serve the royal family and the Knights of the Obsidian Order", she said explaining the situation to him. "But either way, I don't have time to stay here. Before Zane gets too far away, I am going to chase after him. If you are taking this job then I suggest you start running", she said.

Korie then started to sprint and began to run in the direction that Zane ran. Korie swung her sword and a blast of water came out. Using her water-bending abilities, Korie bends the water around to her feet and pretty soon a gush of water propels her forward at great speed. It appears that she was surfing on the water as she gave chase to Zane. With Zane running through the streets, there should be people confused about what passed him. Korie simply will need to follow the trail of confused or disturbed people to follow Zane's track.

The Aspiring Alchemist

Kingdom of Obsidian, Busy Marketplace

Clouds loom overhead at this time of the hour. People of all kinds, buy all kinds of things. Heading in all directions trying to get from stall to stall. Colorful stands with equally interesting customers and sellers of wares. Among these is a dark-hooded maiden. Their eyes were red as rubies and their skin was like mocha, a brown shoulder bag to her side and a rolled-up tent behind her waist.

"The finest sword! For an adventurer like you, lass!!!"
"5 Sweet Honey bread for 2 silver, madam!"
"Would the pretty lady like a black pearl necklace? A pretty necklace for a pretty lady~!"

Beckoning her to come and interact with their wares. The hooded snow-haired woman only passed by like a ghost. Pedestrians as those around her. Waltzing around and brushing a few shoulders from the busy shoppers.

"Preparations, preparations..." She mumbled to herself. Rummaging through the bag, glasses clinking inside before she draws out a small piece of paper. Her dark red eyes glanced in the stalls. Locking onto one with a violet curtain running down as a veil. It was in an obscure position, it was around a corner and isolated from the frequent flow of people.

"Greetings, Alchemist. What do you seek?" An aged voice of a woman welcomes her. She too was veiled and a large lavender drape hooded overhead, her dry lips and sagging remains exposed under the muted sunlight. The hooded girl places a hand on her chest before her is a carpet aligned symmetrically with jars of metals. Glass Vials and burner equipment are abundant on the side. "I'll take the small copper jar, a patch of sea salt, and a tome copy for Earth Alchemy." A clear courteous tone escapes her lips.

"A wise purchase..." The old woman's fingers crept among the merchandise. Taking one small glass jar, filled with 5 small stone pure copper stones with a red lid preserving it from oxidizing. Their other bony hands gently scoop with a wooden spoon onto a concealed sack, pouring the white salt portion over a small cloth pouch, and finally in just a blink of an eye. An old worn-out leather book, with an upside-down triangle with a small line crossed over on the point, etched in the hardbound cover. "The price for these are 9 gold and 4 silver coins." Holding out her wrinkled palm as the other holds the items. These ingredients don't come cheap, giving the exact amount of coins as the weight of her money pouch lightens. "Thank you, be well on your journey to the sciences and magic, young one." Pulling the coins into the dim and reaching the items towards her.

Items Purchased
  • 🜠 Copper jar (5 pebble-sized raw copper ore)
  • 🜔 Sea Salt (95 grams)
  • 🜃 Handbook guide for Earth Alchemy

With the items in inventory, she made her way back to the main flow of the marketplace. "That seems to be all of it for now..." The day was still young and yet the people are already on the move. The Kingdom is always bustling with activity. Just right around the corner is a turn of surprise.

"Excuse me, ma'am, may I ask you a question?" Feeling a tap on her shoulder. Turning her face towards a lanky man, with sharp hazel brown eyes. She stopped in her tracks for the man appeared utterly confused. "I am not from around here. I'm visiting to meet an important business with a... Brother of mine. He needs my help." A voice with a solemn tone. The hooded Half-drow had a blank gaze at first before softening to a frown. "Really? Where did he say was? I think I can perhaps be of assistance." The man's hazel eyes lit up as his thin arms clasped together. "He said he was at the Mosswood Potion Brewery. I lost his letter on my way here..." Her face lit up at the name of the establishment. "I know where that is. Follow me." Motioning the man as he repeatedly nods and thanks the half-drow.

Moments later she weaves streets as he leads the man to the less crowded areas. An almost lonesome street.

Without warning the man placed his hand over her lips and his free arm shoved the dark-eyed girl to the left alley. It was a dead-end poorly lit alley. "Hey, what are doing!?" As the man frees her mouth as she blurts out her words. She was shoved all the way back against the bricked wall. The man's solemn face turned to that of a cold unforgiving one. She felt her heart sink from the complete shift of the man's character.

"Thank you for your cooperation, fool. Give me your bag and your gold, then we let you be." The man has now a small grin on his face. Seeing how his prey is lying back against the wall with nowhere to hide or run. "W-we?" She stuttered. On cue out came two more figures who sided with the man from both corners of the exit. one was a smaller malnourished woman, slightly older than the alchemist, and the other is a bald thin orc. The messy-haired pale woman had a jagged rusted blade in hand. It was a knife. The other one had a small rusted mace, extremely blunt but a weapon nonetheless. As they brandished their unkempt weaponry. The Alchemist drew their Iron dagger, a contrast to the filthy weapons. "You tricked me..." Said the Alchemist.

"Do not make this harder than it needs to be. Just give us your bag and we will be on our way." Said the grinning man. It was near pointless to scream for help around these alleys, she got careless. Although, she did try to beacon for safety.

"Help me! Someone!"

  • Zane ran through the streets of the Kingdom of Obsidian. Rushing past anyone that was in his way. He kept running and running. All he can think about was his friend Odd and the emotions that Odd currently had. It was that of fear and death. He felt that feeling before, 3 years ago in fact. And if this will force belong to that man, then Odd really was in trouble. But suddenly he felt that emotion disappear as if it vanished. Odd's suddenly disappearing like that. Does that mean he is dead? Zane started to panic. He put all his energy into running and ran as fast as he could to Drinks All Around Tavern. It was their place that the two often meet up at it well after Zane dealt with whatever situation Odd got himself into. By far, this is the worst situation that Odd put him in right now.

He kept on running until he finally appear in front of the Drinks All Around Tavern. Zane immediately fell to the ground. He was panting and breathing heavily. All of his stamina was suddenly depleted. It was understandable since he was using that speed technique. The 'Thunder Breathing Flash' was not meant to be used to travel over a long distance. But perhaps, he should train himself in using it over long distances. But right now, Zane needed to catch his breath and recover as much stamina as he can. If Barnabas was in there, then Zane hardly doubts he can put up a fight right now. However, Zane saw many people running out of the tavern in fear. Because of the panic crowd, the royal guards who were on patrol immediately rush to the scene as well as getting reinforcements.

Seeing the chaos outside, Zane closed his eyes and just focus on his breathing, and at the same time, he focused his will force and make an attempt to detect if Barnabas was inside. And Zane didn't sense anything. Barnabas must have hidden his willpower again. Zane really hope that Odd was okay because he tried to sense for him too but he was not inside the tavern. This led Zane to likely conclusions. Either Odd was dead, he was captured, or he escaped. Zane really hoped that he had escaped.

After taking a moment to catch his breath, Zane got up his sword still drawn as he entered inside. One of the royal guards will be already inside before he went. But the royal guard would have gone to the bartender who is the owner of this establishment. Zane glance at the two it seems the bartender was telling the Royal Guard about what happened.

Zane continue to walk and he came to see three people there as well as three people on the floor who were dead. But none of them were Odd to Zane's relief. The other people had run out but the three had stayed behind. He looked at the floor again and saw what appears as arrows on the ground and a smashed bottle. Not only that but the flooring on the ground was slightly bent. It can be confirmed that Barnabas was here. It appears that there was no longer any threat in the area so Zane can relax for the time being. Zane sheathed his katana and looked at the three. He took note of the clothes that they were wearing as well as their being trying to identify if it is a race Zane has encountered before. However, there was one person that stood out like a sore thumb. The male (Sittra) was slumping against the table. He knew those clothes. An otherworldly?

Zane began to walk over to them and as he did he was able to catch the reference of Harry Potter from the male. This caused Zane to smirk as a sense of familiarity flowed through him. And it also confirmed Zane's suspicion that the male was indeed an otherwordly. But right now Zane wanted to know what happen. "Hi", said Zane informally. "I am looking for my friend Odd. Do you know where he is? Also what happened here? ", Zane asked. He really hoped that the three can trust him. He really needed to make sure Odd was okay and well.

When the Blonde said he’d go if she went she could probably understand. They seemed at least a little acquainted with each other. So, once, he said that, she nodded. However, when he asked

"The dark arts? 'Tis what, Harry Potter?"

She was confused and he burst out laughing at something she didn’t understand. And quite frankly she took this as some sort of insult. She didn’t even know what a ‘Harry Potter’ was! On top of all that, when he was done laughing he says

"Frankly, I have no idea what you're talking about. Is the fox switcheroo some sort of new Houdini trick?"

Caster gave him a crude look.

“I don’t know what a ‘Harry potter’ is or what a ‘Houdini’ is. But to answer your question, Dark Arts is terminology for dark magic and him being able to shift into a fox like that is because we both are half animal spirit. Our animal is a silver fox, as you may be able to identify it even with your lack of brains.” She shrugged.

“And I have my knowledge of the Light Arts. Proceed with caution before you make snide remarks to people you don’t know you could get killed! Some people do take offense to that.”

At that rate, she was lucky. No one asked why she spoke so quietly. Normally, at this point, someone would. But at this rate, there may be a bit of mutual respect due to the whole ordeal, or so she hoped. When the man came in with white and dark hair and asked what happened and where his friend Odd was, she racked her brain for anyone named that.

‘Odd…Odd’

“Oh him!”

She was who the princess asked the bartender about, right? She explains further.

“He and the Princess are no longer in the Tavern. If you are friends, you should be relieved to know they are safe. My brother managed to get them else were away from Barnabus.”

She wasn’t going to specify that she didn’t trust this new guy. Which was strange because most strangers that day seemed to have an air of trust worthiness to them. Like those two who assisted her with the criminal.

“They and these two—

She gestures to the pink-haired girl and blonde-haired guy.

“Will now be under my protection due to these events.”

In her personal experience, it wasn’t the least bit strange when an adventurer takes people into their protection, because most of the time there is a reason. And in order to be able to adventure, you also have to know how to fight.

She turns to the other two.

“With all that aside, what are your names?”

Korie Obsidian

Location: Open area Alley
With: Korie, Kan ( RandomBlobMan RandomBlobMan )

Kan heard the explanation of the relationship between the lady and the guards. Things always seemed to complicate the higher it got on the social ranks. He decided to shrug it off. There was more important matter at hand for the fellow called Zane, it seemed- and there was no loss taking a closer look.
"Alright."
The next moment, he saw Korie run toward the direction and started off himself. Though they may have been running at the same pace for a moment, Korie got a boost as she used her ability to command water under her feet. She left Kan in the dust as distance began to form between the two. Kan let out a sigh as he reminded himself 'I gotta get one of those.' and kept on following the tracks she left behind. It wouldn't take long for him to catch up once she came to a halt, but since wasn't sure how far Zane went, he hoped it wasn't too far away.

Misha was doing a bit of shopping the 6-armed goliath carrying an oversized shield on his back and a staff he seemed a bit flamboyant in his dress maybe a wizard or something? At least that was what he seemed like the man was going about his day buying various small things and nicknacks needed for spellcasting as he hummed to himself he'd gotten all the reagents he needed and welp he did get a lot of strange looks many expecting him to be more barbarous and well he was of mountain folk so it was to be expected he didn't mind all too much. Misha however heard a scream for help as he passed a back alley way quirking an eyebrow. wandering down the alley he'd see some poor girl getting mugged and frankly, he'd just cross his arm annoyed. "oi back off you three" *he'd say looming over the muggers.. before.. just hitting them over the head with a stick that soundly knocked out one of them leading the other to scramble away as frankly a 6 armed goliath was utterly terrifying. "you ok miss?" he'd ask.

Kirara Genkei
Location: Drink All Aroud tavern

She did it! They did it! They drove away the princess kidnapper. After the adrenaline died down she suddenly felts her arms much weaker than usual and dropped the empty bottle from her hands. She let out a wide stupid grin as she looked over to the two other people who joined in going against the thug. The girl was someone she never met before but looking at her outfits she seemed like a experienced fighter, Sittra on the other hand was clearly inexperienced.

"I'm okay, I'm okay." Kirara gave them reassurance before actually checking on herself. Yep, there's barely any scratched on her actually, although she felts mentally drained. She then gave Sittra a playful slap on the back trying to cheer him up.

"Don't be too gloomy. You can just cower in the corner but you choose to face the fear and fight despite not being able to. If that's not brave then I don't know what it is."

The fighter girl claimed to know where the shadow tunnel was heading to and invited them to join her. She's very willing to do that, considering there's a chance the kidnapper would somehow still follow the princess. Kirara would gladly offer her help. She wasn't sure about Sittra however, since he's practically just arrived here. Though looking at him, he seemed to be going along with the flow pretty well despite not knowing like half of the topics.

"I guess its pretty safe." She said about the portal.

"Let's go help the princess and her future husband. The fate of the kingdom might be in our hands... or something like that." First she got a lot of money from delivering that sword, then she met a fresh otherworlder and then she got the opportunity to help one of the most important figure in the kingdom. Her days couldn't get any better!

Before they get going another individual entered the bar. He looks quite battered as if he just fight and then ran through half of the city. The fighter girl told the newcomer the gist of what happened and then claimed her and Sittra to be under her protection. Having little to no experience about adventuring outside the city, Kirara didn't really understand the gesture. Although her expression suddenly changed as if she suddenly understand of what was happening.

"W-wait, my name is Kirara Genkei." She hastily introduced herself before pointing at Sittra.

"His name is Sittra. He is my otherworlder under MY protection." Kiara crossed her hands in front of her chest, feeling satisfied with what she said. There's no way she would let the fighter girl take him away.

"I guess you're right. I really did good, didn't I?" Sittra mumbled in response to Kirara's uplifting words, feeling a bit better when the pink-haired woman put the situation in such a positive perspective.
After receiving her thoughts on the floating shadow, he would nod at her and look back at the thing with a tired sigh. "Very well, guess we will go into the unknown! Hopefully we won't be thrown into space or anything."
"Does this sort of thing happen everyday around here?" he asked her as he heard her words about helping as he leaned back in his seat. "Everyday, Barnabas comes and attacks you, you save princesses and, sounds exhausting!" he said abruptly as he stretched his back.
And as his conversation with Cas unexpectedly devolved into a suddend into banter, Sittra would feel a sense of contrast wash over him as the green-eyed woman spoke and looked at him with irritability but her voice was the same soft volume even when she seemed agitated. Certainly, she had an interesting way of expressing herself, the young man supposed in some befuddlement. He gave a happy chuckle at the words "dark magic". As she complained about his brain power, he lifted his hands in the air, making a mock innocent face. This was just what he need to distract himself from the stress from 5 minutes before.
"Hey, no need to insult my brain!" he said as he shrugged, his face still holding puppy innocent eyes and hands held up in the air. However, once Cas mentioned killing, his mood would rapidly plummet as he looked at her, his hands moving to his sides. "Right, right. Like that Barnabas guy?" he asked, as he looked at her with an upset pout.
It was in this moment that a tired and exhausted guy came rushing into the tavern. Sittra looked at him in attention, as the man sheathed some sort of a sword which seemed to be Asian in style. As he walked up to them, Sittra noted with a blank expression on his face as the black and white haired man - what's with this odd hairstyles - seemed to regard him with some kind of enthusiastic interest.
He listened to Cas' response as she took the lead, and he was surprised at her almost professional tone, certainly a switcheroo, perhaps more outlandish that the "dark magic" (right, they were just trying to mess with him) trick her broher had flaunted, from her previous words. He merely blinked at Cas' calm proclamation, not really understanding what that was all about. He opened his mouth for an introduction, before Kirara beat him to it and introduced herself. He then looked at her finger as she pointed a finger at him, not even giving him an opportunity to announce his own name. He would calmly nod at her introducing him.
"His name is Sittra. He is my otherworlder under MY protection."
He raised an amused smirk with a raised eyebrow at Kirara's declaration. Again raising his arms in the air to prove that he is harmless, he said, merriment in his tone, "Now, now, what is this possessive tone I hear? You're starting to scare me"
With that said he would turn to fully face the table and mirrored Kirara's gesture, crossing his arms in front of his chest with a smile as he appeared to be in thought.
Inwardly, he was touched by Genkei's gesture and even Cas's more official sounding one. He felt lost in this place he randomly popped out, and it was some comfort to hear that somebody cared enough about him to say such things.
