Powowow
one rocky boi
Years ago, when the heavens were at the brink of annihilation, and when the forces of light and dark covered the land, he appeared. In all of his blazing glory, with his own hand he defeated the tyrant who started all of this, exiling them once more to the stars. It was by his hand that he finally put this nightmare to bed.
At least...that's how it was supposed to turn out.
When the champion returned, all of the people rejoiced. For seven days and seven nights, laughter and joy was sung all throughout the land as the world slowly reached an equilibrium. But all was not well, for in the champion's heart, despite all of the festivities about, he could not quell the troubles in his mind. A longing, calling him deep below.
When the eighth day approached, the villagers looked far and wide for him. But he could not be found. At first, the villagers laughed and waved it away.
"Already off to another adventure," they would chuckle. And who could blame them? For at this point in time, who would be able to defeat the Champion himself, who singlehandedly fell ■■■. However, as the days turned to weeks, and the weeks to months, worry began to take root. Still, they waited.
And waited.
......
On the eve of winter, the first grave was dug.

Hello there, Pow here. This rp will be taking place essentially in the aftermath after the Champion a.k.a. the player in Terraria has defeated the final boss.
With his disappearance however, the condition of the world slowly started to crumble as time passed on, until eventually, what was once a prosperous world was again at ruin's doorstep. Not only that, but as of recently a strange group of people have recently emerged, seeking the land's treasures, each with motives unknown. Here, you will be playing as one of the travelers there, with the knowledge of how you got here unbeknownst to you. One thing remains sure as ever though...
Adventure awaits!
Rules
- while this roleplay's limit will change from time to time, currently it can hold a maximum of six people.
- to better coordinate the posts in ic and to save time, it is quite vital to have discord to interact and do pther tasks that would be otherwise tedious on main.
- when posting, i don't really have a specific protocol on when and where to post, only that you remain active on the main chatroom. if you are going to take a break, long or short, please tell me ahead of time.
- although the concept of this rp may advertise for a very action-paced roleplay, it will be more oriented towards plot. there will be however points of time in the story when the balance shifts towards combat, requiring players to have a basic level of writing when envisioning battle scenes.
In a land as colorful and superfluous as Terraria, it is guaranteed to be populated by a group as equally diverse as the realms within. And with the influx of travelers brought forth to this place, the roster of adventurers has only gone even wilder. To deal with this dizzying conundrum, the villagers brought forth a basic generalization of the newcomers so far. And that is...
Melee
Your basic cookie cutter adventurer, this archetype generally prefers to go up close and personal, tanking their foes head on. Weapons of this category tend to rely on swords, though this can sometimes diverge into hammers, axes and flails.
Fighters who use this strategy tend to have a higher constitution then most, their bodies being used to pain and all. A general frustration people in this category have is their opponents dodging away from their attacks or taking to the skies. Or both.
Ranger
With hands so graceful they could weave the winds above, adventurers who use this approach tend to have a more indirect opening, using their weapons to snipe enemies from afar, rather than overpowering them with brute force. While the arsenal of a ranger may not be as wide as their other brethren, their only choices being bows or firearms, with creativity and luck, alongside a little craftmanship, one can birth a truly unique weapon.
Fighters who use this strategy generally hit faster than most, using their many arrows to eventually cut down their opponents. However, none of that matters when their targets are too close. In the heat of danger, who can steady their hands when the opponent is right in front of you?
Mage
The coolest person in the group. Or at least, they tell themselves they are as their incantation sputters for the fifth time. Mages tend to have a very scrappy style in battle, wielding all kinds of spells dependant on the situation and distance of the enemy. Out of all the classes, mages have the most divergent tree of weapons, ranging from rods to tomes to artifacts, these wizards can spend more time deciding their weaponry than actually using it.
Fighters who use this strategy tend to have a lower output than the rest of the gang, but they more than compensate for it with their near infinite supply of mana through the use of potions. Still, one should be wary when considering the next vial or two, for drinking too much of it can develop a sickness towards it which can hinder a mage's already weak magic.
Summoner
In the edges of the group, the summoner resides, tactically considering their next move amidst the chaos of the battle. Summoners tend to lurk at the edge, letting their summons do the fighting while sometimes providing the occasional support to aid their allies. While there may be a wider variety of summons out there, the villagers thus far have finally managed to ascertain the types of beings the summoners wield: minions, sentries, and followers.
Fighters who specialize this strategy have a very hybrid-like strategy more so than the mage, each style widely depending on the summons they wield. However, no matter what, all of the fighting styles of this tree share one common weakness, their endurance, which has the strength of ten slimes, which isn't a lot, but it is something, right?
*Note: Picking classes will only provide a small boost when using items of the respective origin. Most of it however will be purely for aesthetic purposes.
