Skye watched the guy's reaction towards Death, since she knew he was terrified of them like she was at first. They also noticed that he was doing the sword gripping thing towards them, because it was similar to her first reaction. "I wouldn't bother with taking out your sword if I were you, because I tried to do the same thing as you. They said that the Wolf would outrun me if I were to flee, because Death always wins." said Skye.
They then watched the poor guy be confused by what Death had to say to them. Because the way they talk to people is a bit confusing at first, until you understand their speech pattern. Death takes turns when it comes to talking to someone.
"Yes. Their name is Death, but you can also call them Lamb and Wolf. Any of their other names work too, because they are peaceful and violent death." said Skye.
The guy told her afterwards that they were in Darkstone to look for the other sword wielders of the Ten Blades. This caused Skye's eyes to narrow, because she couldn't believe that this guy wanted to look for those sword wielders. "Well, you found one, because Death said you have a sibling for my sword." said Skye.
As the guy showed off his sword: Hinoken. They took Ea no ken out from their sheath, and then put it away once they saw it. "I wield Ea no ken, and I will never use my magic and my sword's power while flying again. It goes way too fast."
Skye said that, because they had to learn it the hard way why it isn't a good idea.

Lamb & Wolf
Mentions: Blackrose7 Blackrose7 Gish_Sky Gish_Sky

Lamb and wolf listened to the boy as he spoke lamb seeming to pay attention though behind her mask her face remained unseen and thus her mood was impossible to tell. Wolf was simpler his floating about showed a playful side as if seeing someone in fear made him happy. He was eager to hunt always eager to chase and fear came fight before flight and right before fight. Skye took the chance to answer for the two of them surprising them and causing the pair to turn to look at her. This having a friends that was not them thing was very new and very odd. Lamb could not have expected the sylph to explain so much to the boy and not let her have her little fun. Speaking and vagaries and going back and froth between the two was rather amusing.

" Then your quest has been both failure and success little prince" Lamb said referring to seeking the 10 blades " You have found two and there are more in the city but not all " She continued.

" Less for the hunt soon" Wolf said moving about almost as cloud that seemed to hop about eager for the coming prey.

" Though It is odd to hear another speak for us" Lamb said suddenly struck by a strange emotion. There was something nagging at the back of her mind. Could it be a hunt from long ago? Was it some forgotten duty" Lamb did not know and she should remember their steps where wolf was the now. Lamb could not recall it yet this now was feeling less like a first, but it had to be a first. Or perhaps it was just a cycle starting answer that Lamb had forgotten the end of.

" He isn't here about the dead" Wolf said as if to draw lamb out of her thoughts.

" Few it seems remember why the blades were made" Lamb said despite people respecting the blades they had not respected the smith " It seems the smith may die again soon if people do not remember" She mused thinking on how in a way every died twice once physically and once when you were forgotten, even death could die that way.

" The Anki come their hunts are boring" Wolf grumbled turned and turning as if to sit but he remained restless.

Kima nodded slowly. "Yes the Ten Blades." Kima took a step back and then glanced at Sujime's sword before looking back to the young woman before her. "Sujime.. YOU are a wiel"

"LOOK OUT!"

Suddenly that was colossal explosion from behind the two. Kima spun around to see a massive plume of smoke and dust suddenly billowing from the archway that lead down to the dungeon. The sound of steel upon steel rung throughout the air, clashing and clanging and scraping. Numerous voices yelled out from below.

"HOLD THE LINE!

"THERE BREAKING THROUGH!"

"SOMEONE GET UP THERE AND EVACUATE THE GUILD HALL!"

"WHAT IS THAT THING"

"THERE'S TOO MANY FALL BA!"

Another explosion and then silence..

People within the hall all stared in horror. Suddenly a tremendous spin chilling screech ripped through the air, followed by the sounds of footsteps rushing up the steps.

"EVERYBODY RUN, THERE'S TOO MANY OF THEM!"

A few of the heavily armoured Elite guard suddenly appeared rushing from the smoke. "RUN THEY BROKE THROUGH FROM THE LOWER LEVELS! SOUND THE ALA!" The voice cut short as something suddenly flew through the air, landing upon the man and then twisting their neck snapping it. The man fell, as the others turned around raising their weapons and shields.

"There here.."

Kima felt a cold chill in the air and for the first time in her life felt something she had never felt before.. A true uncertainty of what was happening..

Then from within the smoke a shadowy being appeared, the body twitching violently, contorting and twisting and spasming. More and more figures appeared within the smoke, chittering and cricking noises filling the air. Silence once again, when suddenly... "REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH"
The figures suddenly began to rush forwards slamming into the Elite guards, knocking them down to the ground.

And within that very moment chaos ensued. Everyone within the guild hall began to panic, screams of terror filling the air. People ran for their lives heading to the guild hall doors, as these things began to rip away at the small defensive shield wall the Elite guard had made. One by one they fell, the remaining thirty being whittled down. Numerous adventures stood their ground, a hail of arrows, magic and other projectiles suddenly raining down from the upper levels. Others rushed forwards to join the Elite guard's wall, as melee users joined the onslaught. More and more creatures emerged from below. The Guild Hall had suddenly become a warzone.

A voice suddenly boomed through the entire building. "THIS IS A CODE BLACK, EVACUATE THE GUILD HALL!" Upon that note numerous portals began to open leading to outside on each floor. Large white domes enveloped them, preventing whatever these things were from getting close to them yet allowing others to pass. Kima couldn't believe what was happening. Suddenly her hands were coated in the purest white flames you had ever seen. "I don't know about you.. but I'm sending these things back to where they came from!"

As the vile creatures stormed through the doors of the guild hall, a violet hued acrid vapour pooled forth from a shaded corner of the noisy hall where a large sword clattered and shook on a table before falling forth and embedding itself into the ground.

The sword was tall and heavy even by great sword standards, as tall as a man and made thick from weighty materials it would be a challenge for even the strongest of warriors to swing it effectively. Let alone paired with the lead sheathe it had freed itself from atop the table. Though perhaps stranger still was the poisonous vapour constantly exuding off of it’s blade, enshrouding it in a mysterious mist.

This mist, this stinging vaporous fog continued to rise out of the blade as it seemingly started to become thicker and coalesce above the sword. “Oh ho ho hoh!” A melodic feminine laugh rang out from the vapour as it formed into a humanoid shape, becoming more and more defined until it solidified into the unmistakable visage of a woman.

Her curvaceous figure rested atop the wide cross guard of the sword, her crossed legs only just reaching the floor. Clad in a midnight black dress she raised a unearthly pale limb and brushed a lock of pristine alabaster hair from her beauteous face. A face that held a smirk as she surveyed the shambling monsters that had intruded upon her.

“And here I thought it was just going to be the same drivel all day~“ She tittered as she lazily leveled her finger towards the monstrous creatures, a chittering centipede skittering back down her arm as she does, and wills forth the poison vapour from her blade to expand and grow into a barrier of deadly dark violet fog in front of the disgusting beings. A simple, effortless demonstration of her power to hem the monsters in. “Ah, smell that air~! It’s positively divine.”

Damian of Harwell

Death always wins. Damian stared at Death, specifically Wolf, who seemed rather cheerful.

"Death always wins," Damian mused. He repeated it again. Then, Skye mentioned that they represented the two types of death, peaceful and violent. That made sense, he supposed. If he could've imagined meeting the thing called Death, he would've thought that Lamb would be more friendly and kind. But he couldn't see her mood, which was hidden by a mask.

He was still somewhat disturbed that he was in the presence of Death. If Death witnessed every death that occurred among every living being, it meant that they already knew that he had killed someone less than four hours ago. He tried to distract himself by watching Skye chatter about her sword, which was the Air Sword.

"What can Ea No Ken do? Does it grant you enhanced speed?" Damian asked, trying to distract himself. His mind kept replaying the scene of him stabbing the knight in the stomach, over and over again. Was it the Lamb playing games with him? The boy couldn't tell.

The Wolf and the Lamb were speaking to him once again, the Lamb stating that he had failed (and succeeded).
"I'm still working on it," the boy replied with a scowl. "It's not easy to find ten people who wield legendary blades in a city where half of it is restricted solely because they see me as a kid."

The Lamb seemed lost in thought for a second, but the Wolf seemed to be able to reassure her, but saying that he wasn't there for the dead. Well, he had added one person to the 'dead'. Maybe they'd just give him a pat on the back for helping them out. Then, they spoke about how the smith who created the swords. Damian only knew of the smith solely because the smith was the creator of the swords.

"Have you met the smith before?" Damian asked the Lamb curiously. Then, the wolf, as if on cue, mentioned that the Anki come.

There was suddenly a large bang and plumes of smoke filled the room, coming from the entrance of the dungeon. Damian heard frantic voices, presumably of the guards, telling people to evacuate. Evacuate? Damian scoffed. They were cowards, running away from whatever was coming.

Boom! There was another explosion and this time, Damian stumbled to the ground, knocked back by the power of the explosion. Scrambling to get to his feet, he heard deafening screeches. He hoped that no one had seen him stumble. That was embarrassing. Seeing the elite guard running out of the smoke, Damian watched a small object pierce one of their necks.

The boy grinned. Even though there was a clear feeling of panic echoing through the Guild Hall, he was excited. Suddenly, his opponents appeared, strange humanoid creatures with pale white skin and mouths all over their skin. They were probably the Anki that Wolf had just mentioned. Watching the Elite Guard being picked away with ease by the creatures, Damian took out his sword.

It was pure chaos in the hall, as people were being ordered to evacuate. Damian cursed himself for his small size as many people pushed past him with ease. He was one of few fighting against the surging crowd, trying to get to the front of the action. During this moment, he forgot about his companions, as he rushed towards the action. Portals were appearing and Damian avoided them, trying to battle one of these creatures. Damian's sword came alive, the steel of the sword's blade covered with dancing fiery orange flames.

He was born to defeat those scum and he was going to kick their ass.

Sujime was focusing intently on Kima, trying her hardest to ignore all of the other things going on around them. She watched as Kima backed up, looked down at her swords briefly before speaking to her once again. As Kima's words came out of her mouth, Sujime's mind tried to piece them together to make sense of what this woman was saying... but Kima never got to finish her statement and Sujime didn't really have any time to consider it as things went sideways fast. People were running, others screaming, portals erupted all over, some people were chanting magical spells and the most vile creatures the young half-orc had ever seen were easily pushing their way through all of the people.

Sujime naturally took a few steps back, giving her more room to assess the situation. With all of the commotion, her body naturally went on high alert: her feet were placed with one slightly in front of the other and her hand, unbeknownst to her, had already settled on the pommel of her sword. She could, at any moment, dash in any direction she chose and unleash a lightning quick slice that could easily cleave a man in two. Despite that, the young half-orc took the whole scene that lay before her in. She saw others move forward, attacking these creatures with flames and sword alike. She watched as others rushed into the portals that would take them to safety. Sujime's stance wasn't one of preparedness to fight, like some of the others around her, but it was a stance of preparedness to defend herself: a testament to her training.

It was then that Sujime saw Kima's white flames appear. It was like a light in the chaos that surrounded her. Kima's words rang through the Guild Hall, easily eclipsing all other sounds in Sujime's ears and whether they were intended for Sujime or anyone that heard them, instilling a desire to fight in the young lady. Picking her target out of the mass of atrocities that were attacking wasn't easy, but an Elite guard had been knocked to his knees and one of the monsters was trying to take his shield from him. Sujime darted forward, shoving her right shoulder into the creature's side. Her orc strength, allowing her relatively thin frame to still amass quite the force, knocked the creature back nearly a foot, before a flash of metal erupted from Sujime's hip.

Something totally unexpected happened though... the creature's torso, which had a mouthful of teeth, had bit down on the sword which, when coupled with its backward momentum, pulled the blade from Sujime's hand. Never in her days of training had she experienced something like this happening, which put the young half-orc in a state of shock. Another creature reached for Sujime, causing the young swordswoman to react without thinking, she slipped under the grasp and backed up. She still couldn't fathom how fast and tough these creatures had to be for her Iaido draw to be ineffective... Now, she was scared.

"He who desires but acts not, breeds pestilence" said Oshtor as he deflected a blow that would have hurt the swordswoman. Unfurling his fan and slashing into the creatures flesh, blood spattered against the wall. Blocking the bite of another monster by shoving his fan in there. Oshtor then rammed his cane into its gut. He felt no need to draw his sword. Although he could tell the blade had met another of its kin by its reaction to the young woman behind him. Bringing the thick and metallic weapon down on the creature in front of him. He heard the sound of snapping bone. Defending against attacks from two more of the creatures. Oshtor ducked under their swings and brought his fan across their pelvis's. The most astute in the room would notice a faintly green liquid emerging from the groves in his fan. The Old man who had given it to Oshtor had designed it so that poison could be applied to maximize its damaging potential. Given that Oshtor had no idea if poison would work on these monsters. It was a bold but reasonable course of action to try out.

"Little Wanderer, hie thee home!" uttered Oshtor as he shoved the end of his cane into the face of the beast. Bringing his fan across its throat. He watched as it collapsed onto the ground. Noticing that the swordswoman hadn't recovered her footing yet. He decided to cover for her just a little bit longer. Throwing his tessen up in the air. Oshtor finally drew his Hikari-no-Tsurugi. Bisecting each monster that came his way with remarkable vampiric speed. He sheathed his light-sword iaido style before catching his fan.

Lamb & Wolf

This was why death had come to the city, this was why they had told Skye to come. A different from of death had come and the pair had been there as the undead killed people even as they spoke here in the hall. They had known there would be Anki here, their hunt here was special. They did not hunt the living for now and were focused on those already gone. While the others saw just the monsters lamb and wolf saw beyond that to the souls of the creatures, who they had been and the chains of magic that bound them to twisted and rotted corpses to keep them moving. This was what it was to escape death, to come back after the hunt and these creatures were not the only ones that tried to elude the pair in the building. Still Lamb had not lied when she mentioned the little prince finding 2 wielders of the swords, but she had not told him there were more already here and not speaking up. This was why they had told Skye she might cause more deaths if she stayed in the forest for the more of the swords the better even if it was not all of them.

Still the Anki where here and an the pair had a sword from the smith. Wolf seemed to turn into nothing but a black mist for a moment before reappearing a black blade held in his mouth and Lamb's silver bow seemed to come from nowhere, the paired were always ready for fight and they needed to release the souls of those bound here. Wolf as one might expect took off bounding with seemingly endless energy the power that kept the two from being seen being let down so that all might see the pair. Running up he would jump right into the midst of the undead spinning as he did the blade clutched in his mouth easily tearing through the corpse flesh though undead were not so easy to kill as even then they tried to get up before sudden flashes of silver light flew through the air seeming to impact nothing. The undead at the feet of wolf then stilled as the arrows of lamb set the souls free.

The two each focused on a different accept of the fight, Wolf was fighting the bodies, while Lamb fought the magic that kept the souls here. The flashes had impacted the chained souls releasing them from their weakening bonds. Still the dead were numerous and they sought to surround wolf who with a flick of his head change how he held the sword from his side to in front and changed the undead his size changing growing so the sword skewered them through their mid section. That would not keep the dead off him though, but as more blots of silver light flew through the air the undead shuddered and then went limb falling over inert. Wolf when he had enough dead on his sword changed his direction almost stopping and spinning throwing the dead off and into the air. In the air each would rapidly be struck by an arrow of light and all to the floor lifeless.

Still more came and some would even seek lamb who would as a pair of arms was about to garb her vanish appearing beside wolf. The pair did not need to speak they knew what the other was going to do not just because they had been one, but because they had been together and understood the other's nature that such things were not needed. The two would end up surrounded by more of the dead wolf turning and slashing while lamb easily fired off arrow after arrow felling those wolf maimed. The pair easily ducking and weaving blocking and countering the dead for each other one protecting the other often even vanishing only to appear to deflect a blow. The fight between them and the dead had almost a melodic rhythm looking almost more like a dace than a true battle.

Damian was having fun. This was better than any training exercise his father had invented. Even better than the time some wizard had animated a gargoyle statue from the garden. Slicing Anki after Anki with ease, the prince's confidence continued to grow and his blade's flames grew brighter and bigger, the flames themselves becoming hotter. The flames soon turned into a clear orange color, leaving the boy's Anki attackers with flaming wounds.

But then, a terrible odor filled the air and Damian turned to see a mysterious fog appearing out of nowhere, accompanied by a large sword that he probably couldn't lift. Hearing a hissing noise, the boy cursed at himself for being caught off guard, turning to face another Anki. He beheaded it, before turning to face the fog, after hearing a strange voice laughing. Now, the fog was gone and a mysterious woman with silver hair had appeared. Damian assumed that she wielded one of the ten blades.

Doku no ken. She wielded the poison sword. Damian stood there for a moment, staring at her, as she effortlessly created a wall of purple fog. He could smell the bitter, acidic smell of the fog and almost gagged. Kicking away an Anki, before slicing it, Damian found his way towards the strange woman.

"Do you mind toning down the toxic part? You're going to knock out everyone in this room, not only the Anki," Damian said to the woman, slicing away an Anki. "We all know that you wield Doku no Ken now."

Damian then looked around for Lamb and Wolf. They were fighting alongside together, almost like a dance. For a second, Damian admired them. He was about to brag that he had discovered another sword wielder, when he saw a blade in the wolf's mouth. The blade was an ebony color, with electric blue lettering.

"I've found 4 sword wielders already!" Damian yelled in the direction of Lamb and Wolf. He felt success and pride.

"But why didn't you tell me that you wielded Yami No Ken?" Damian asked, somewhat annoyed.

Kima rushed forwards joining the fray white flames erupting forth from her hands, incinerating any creature that got to close or that was in her path. She looked around the hall as the numbers of monsters seemed to slowly be growing despite the sudden assault from numerous adventures. She glanced to the side watching as Sujime joined the fray, knocking back one of the creatures before swinging at it with her sword. However the creature caught the blade with it's mouth upon it's torso yanking it from her. Another was suddenly upon her lunging at her before, but before Kima could react it was cut down by another figure. Kima eyed their fan as it slices away at monsters left right and centre. It was then her eyes widened as this newcomer suddenly was wielding Hikarinotsurugi. Another blade user? Kima looked around, realising something.. Others around here were also wielders in this hall. She knew they would be in Darkstone but to have some here already so close?

Kima looked on at two figures they danced amongst the chaos with grace and poise. She knew exactly who those were. Glancing on she saw a mist forming to her right, where a large sword had embedded itself into the ground, a woman suddenly upon the cross guard, seemingly having come from the sword itself. Doku No Ken.. "This is getting rather odd now.. more wielders? Were they drawn here.."

Kima narrowed her eyes as she saw a young boy wielding a blade, the metal set ablaze with a roaring fire. Yet another wielder.. Kima was happy that she had found other wielders and yet all of them here.. With THIS going on? Something was off.. it was too... Her eyes widened and she suddenly felt a cold sweat upon her brow. it was to chaotic..

"Oh no.." She looked towards the stairs and suddenly ran forwards. Dipping low she ducked under an attacking creature, before delivering a suddenly uppercut to the things face, her flaming fists burning away a hole where she punched. She spun around to the left side, driving her elbow into another before bringing the back of her fist upwards the creature writhing in pain. She kept on running carving a path of dead bodies in her wake before she was about ten feet away from the stairs. She could see another wave of these things rushing upwards from the depths before. Dropping her hands to her sides she closed her eyes and focussed. She had to be careful here.. Not due to the monsters rushing at her.. No.. one wrong move and she could burn the guild hall to the ground. Kima's eyes suddenly flung open, seemingly glowing white as she flung her arms up. The top of the stairs was suddenly engulfed in a wall of white flames, a barrier keep those in the hall safe and to keep those things out. A few stumbled into the fire, being turned to ash and white dust instantly.

With the hall somewhat secure and no longer were more coming the numbers dwindled down, before there just a handful remaining.

The lady atop the smog spewing sword had not moved a inch from her perch, with the sword still embedded into the floor itself. Orchestrating her poisonous fumes into whatever these creatures would call lungs and watching them drop without her even lifting a single finger.

Watching the grandiose sword fighting of the others was amusing, but still she found her attention slipping. That is until one of the other wielders was daring enough to approach her and even had the gall to ask her to stop.

Would you ask the rain to quit pouring? The sun to stop shining? The nerve.” She replied to Damien haughtily, imperiously glowering down at him from atop her seat on the cross guard. “Hmph! Still, I am feeling gracious today…perhaps I will spare you from my gifts.”

She lazily flicked her hand, bidding the deadly violet fog off of him and have it flow away towards where the monsters were swarming from. Making some mental effort to keep it there. More effort than she thought a rude young man like that deserved, but she was rather the magnanimous one.

“Consider your words more carefully next time you speak to a lady.” She lectured as the fight seemed to start to die down. “Next time you might not be so lucky as to meet someone as lovely and forgiving as me.”

She paid little attention to the shambling monsters, when one approaches as she talks a vicious and large serpent darts out from the ebony folds of her dress with shocking speed and squeezes its jaws tight around the creatures head and drags it back squirming into edge of her blade.

Lamb & Wolf

" We did " Lamb said as she fought along side wolf easily dispatching monster after monster the poison fog not bothering the pair.

" You just didn't listen" Wolf continued lambs sentence not missing a beat able to speak despite the sword he swung about.

Then came the white flame the pair in the middle of the crowd were engulfed in the flames. that was at least what should have happened but Wolf jumped in front of lamb. Darkness erupted from the sword he held a wall of purest darkness crashed against the purifying flames and cut through the wall. The flames parted around the pair and continued on with a hole in them leaving all around the charred while behind them was the last bit of mostly pristine flooring. There would likely be more creatures soon, this hunt was not over but it was smaller than it could have been. They two would leave their spot for now to joint the others where they were gathering. the little prince did not know who he was dealing with.

" We know her" Wolf said more to the other than to lamb

" That we do she calls us often" Lamb nodded going along as if this was scrippted.

" But we do not hunt her?" Wolf playfully asked clearly not confused but joining Lamb's game.

" No for her weapons is in words, in chalices and in gazes not not sword or shield" Lamb replied as her bow vanished from her hand though wolf kept his sword.

"Those hunts are dull" Wolf grumbled remembering them as easy the prey could not fight yet pain had taken them.

" That is because she leaves the hunted weak and unable fight" Lamb nodded she too enjoyed a good hunt though not in the same way wolf did.

Kima looked at the wall of fire she had created. Raising one hand in front of her she thrust it forwards, the barrier of fire suddenly expanding and spewing forth flames down the stairs. The creatures that were behind the wall suddenly erupted into flame, disintegrated where they stood, scorch marks appearing on the stairs and piles of ash and dust was all that remained. Kima sighed and kept the barrier up just in case before turning around and surveying the area. The injured were being seen to so that was good. She looked over to the other that stood out before her. The other wielders... She slowly walked forwards approaching the others when suddenly a clapping filled the hall.

"Very good! Very good indeed. You stopped my little game. My my how impressive you all are.." Kima froze in place as a shadowy plume flew through the air before crashing down into the ground, a plume of smoke billowing across the floor, much like a early morning mist. Smoke and dust filled the area around and behind it as it stood tall and imposing. The figure was tall... VERY tall standing at least seven foot. A red halo hung above it's head, red goop falling from it every now and then, looking disturbingly a lot like blood.. It rose a hand, a red flame burning around it's fist as a large spear manifested within it's grip. With it's other hand it held a large blade

Hmm.jpg

Kima looked on it utter disbelief. Before them stood a true monster... Karos... the god of chaos.

Damian scowled at the woman. She spoke like one of those wise and old Harlem witches or wizards, their words always riddles and confusion to the child. She seemed like a haughty one. Damian wasn’t a big fan of haughty people

Watching the purple mist drift away Jim and towards the shambling monsters, Damian looked at the woman a bit more closely. He was somewhat intrigued by her.

Then, the boy heard Lamb and Wolf reply to his quip about hiding that they were the wielders of the dark blade.

“I thought I did listen! Maybe you should stop talking in riddles,” the boy complained, with a bit of a whiny tone. His attention was then distracted by the emergence of a serpent.

A large serpent appeared from black dress of the Poisonous Lady, strangling an undead creature, before allowing the creature to meet its untimely demise at Doku no Ken’s blade. Damian took a step backwards, momentarily in shock, before being in awe.

“I think that’s it’s a good idea if I introduce myself. I assume we’ll need to be acquainted if we’re going to take down the Anki. I’m Prince Damian of Harlem. You can call me Your Majesty, Your Highness or Prince Damian of Harlem,” Damian said. Turning to watch the battle, he watched a wall of darkness emerge, before covering his ears to ignore the cries of agony of the undead. Lamb and Wolf now had joined them. In fact, another sword wielder, a girl who had commanded blindingly white flames, was approaching them, when the hall suddenly became silent, the clapping of a single person echoing through the hall.

Damian turned around and saw a tall creature appear, a red lava dripping where its head should be, a flaming halo hovering over the lava.

Watching the creature create a flaming spear, Damian scowled. It was Karos, according to his mythology studies. He had never thought that they were real, but now, he saw the God of Chaos in front of his eyes.

“Ever met a dead god, Lamb and Wolf? You’re probably going to meet one soon,” Damian quipped before strutting towards the god, like an overly cocky chicken.

“Don’t think I shan’t hear your quips you trumped up slave of a beast!” She snarled at Death’s comments with a sharp glare of her violet eyes. The distaste shared by them obviously mutual to a degree. She at least didn’t fear them despite her acknowledgment of their station.

Her ears were then assaulted by the words of another man, one who spoke with churlish confidence. “A princeling? Oh hoh hoh!” She remarked with a lilted little laugh at his expense. She found his bravado quite amusing indeed. But his human status meant little to one such as her. “Your mortal titles are nothing to a que-“

Her rapport was cut short by the arrival of the towering black figure. Her relaxed posture straightening for the first time since her appearance onto the scene.

Hopping down from the hilt of her blade she took a few steps behind it and crossed her arms under her heavy bosom. “Hmmmph! Gods, they think themselves so above everyone! I consented not to any game.” She maintained a air of indignity, but she was not fool enough to take challenge against a god such as him. It would be dreadfully one sided and not in the way she usually enjoys.

“Do your worst little princeling.” She encourages with a healthy dose of sarcasm as Damian approached the heavenly being. “Your inconsequential demise will be humorous if nothing else.”

Lamb & Wolf

Karos not a face Lamb and wolf had thought they would see for awhile. Gods lived a long time, but despite what some might think even they could die. This however was not likely the day the god of chaos would fall, seeing the end of a deity was not like seeing that of a mortal. They were more complex their self linked with the world a part of it that was hard to remove without another growing to take it's place. Still in the end death would claim even the gods. The prince speaking of his titles meant little to the duo for the rise and fall of nations had happened before and would happen again no king ruled forever and no nation could stand against time.

" You should not do that little prince, his hunt is not today" Lamb said the god would not fall today and the pair would not fight him. there was a time and a place for everything and today was not the god of chaos's end.

" But yours might be" Wolf chimed in as he became smoke swirling about Lamb before returning to his wolf form.

Dealing with those killed by a god was as uncertain as dealing with the death of a god for such beings were normally above the laws of the mortal plane and fate was what they made it. A human could change their fate through effort but they only put it off for a time, gods could mold fate like clay to their liking. The lady of poison was at least right in that the prince would die if he fought the god. Still if the god of chaos wanted the mortals dead they would be so.

" Why does the god of chaos come here to have his fun?" Lamb asked even to the gods she spoke in her own little riddles

" The world is vast" Wolf said " With better prey" knowing what lamb suspected a threat to him was coming, or rather had come.

A god of chaos needed chaos and beings with no will could not be made to bring chaos. They brought in their own twisted way order and could not be swayed to actions like the living. The anki were a threat to chaos as they would bring order unending. When nothing moved unless their lord willed it there would be no chaos, even the disasters that could cripple kingdoms would cause not disruption, there would be no wars among the dead. in the world the anki might build he would have no place and he would fade.

" Even gods have rules, the scales must balance never one.." Lamb started implying without saying what her thoughts were

" Without the other, but your others grows " Wolf finished speaking of the god of order who even if he did not like the Anki would grow from their efforts to bring their form of order. Chaos was waning as order grew a cosmic scale tipped

" Mortal eyes see chaos before them, but not the order behind it where chaos will hold no power" Lamb continued again imply order and chaos were not balanced, or well to imbalanced, otr nearing that stage. A god could do a lot, but another god could always stop a god. The god of chaos if he wanted the anki and their order gone could not act himself for then the god of order would be able to intervein.

Things don't always go your way, especially in battle, and Sujime's inexperience had allowed her to be removed from it quite easily. Sujime felt like her whole life's training was useless though a better warrior would have been able to get back into the battle, by tooth or nail. And while death should've come for her during that battle, fate had other plans, like the wielders of the Ten Blades protecting her. Even now, she was in shock and simply stared at the white flame wall and the god who'd appeared afterwards. She was unsure of where this situation was going or if she even belonged in that room with all of the amazing adventurers, like Kima, that were there. Meeting a God was, by no means, a normal occurrence for your average adventurer and Sujime was sure that she'd stumbled into something that she wasn't qualified for.

Karos turned their head towards the child walking towards them slowly before their gaze seemed to shift over to Lamb and Wolf.. not that it could be seen from under the hood that obscured their head... no.. but it could certainly be felt, a cold chill seemingly striking right into the young Prince's heart. A small pause before a laugh. "My my is that Death I see before me? Rules are made to be broken, Ying... Yang all that stuff?" They waved a finger. "If you think I made the Anki.. you are poorly mistaken. I had no part in it, but they total destruction and chaos they have brought certainly is helpful. No... it was another that created them, one of which who asked for me to make a little show for you all. You think that seven of the Wielders are all here by chance? Hah... little tugs here and there at strings brought you all here.. Of course I was hoping that at least one of you would of died perhaps... although.. that may still be possible.."

Karos turned his head back to look down upon Damian as he strode towards him. "So much like the one before.. arrogant and cocky..." The hand gripping the sword suddenly gripped it harder and it was at the moment that time seemed to slow down and many things happened at once.

"NO!" A voice rang out through the hall. All of the onlookers who survived the attack couldn't believe what they saw. Kima suddenly rushed forwards with an explosion of speed not possible for humans, a small shockwave exploding behind her. Her right hand glowed Purple, as Damian suddenly was enveloped by a aura of the same colour. With a flick of her wrist he flew backwards a good ten feet before coming to a stop. Where he had been standing the space was suddenly occupied by Karos's sword, the God having swung it with impossible speed.

And yet rather than meeting the soft flesh of the boy it suddenly stopped meeting something much denser and oh so much harder. A resounding clang rippled through the air as blade struck blade. In Kima's right hand was a massive sword that struck hard upon the other. For those that knew the legends it was Kokotu Yoru, the first blade. At first nothing but silence filled the air... but slowly the air seemed to ripple around the two figures, the ground under then cracking and then an explosive shockwave erupted from the two swords. Clearly the force behind the swings was that of an ungodly nature. Crimson red and deep dark Purple sparks suddenly crackled through the air.

"Oh... it's you.." Karos grinned under his hooded and laughed. "Yes YES!! This shall be so much fun!" The two struggled in their clash, the swords pressing hard into each other, sparks flying, air warping. Kima glared at Karos. "So.. that was the plan.. kill them all before they even knew who or what they were? Was that it? To strike them down before they could vanquish the Anki?" She pushed harder, her sword glowing. "I... don't... THINK.. SO!"

"STAR FALL!"

The ground under Karos suddenly cracked again, the air around him rippling and seemingly shaking as an immense amount of pressure suddenly fell upon him, as Kima applied more and more Gravity upon him, the pressure building. He fell down to his knees, still holding his sword however. "Leave.. NOW!" His other hand suddenly thrust the spear forth right towards Kima's stomach. Her other hand however radiated a dark Purple aura the spear stopping in it's tracks as she manipulated Gravity to push against it. The two struggled locked in a stalemate. "Tch... even a goddess can fall" Karos suddenly was surrounded with a Crimson aura, what looked to be magma dripping from his spear and sword. "These fledglings are safe... for now" He suddenly vanished in a puff of smoke. Kima who was still pushing suddenly had no resistance on her blade and it swung sideways. The ground before her tore up a massive burst of gravity rushing forth obliterating the area in front of her.

"Dammit.." She looked about worried he was still lurking, but he seemed to have indeed left for now.

Sujime didn't understand what was happening and even her highly trained reflexes and senses weren't able to keep up as Karos attacked near instantly. Kima, seemingly out of nowhere, blocked the attack with an amazing black sword. Sujime was still in the dark about her own sword, but she assumed that Kima was also a wielder of one of the mythical Ten Blades. When the evil God left, stating that they were safe, Sujime breathed once again. She hadn't even realized that she'd been holding her breath, but with everything seemingly over... she had begun breathing again.

Everything had happened so quickly and she hadn't really had time to contemplate everything. The young half-orc was beginning to feel rage. She had let her grandfather down by failing to continue fighting. She had somehow been manipulated by this God. She had been manipulated by Kima; not to mention, she'd had lied to Sujime about who she was. More than all that though, Sujime was mad at her own lack of ability. Despite being mad at Kima for lying and manipulating her, she still wished she could have helped her face that God. But as with everything else, she had just mindlessly stood there. Her face was burning with anger, her knuckles turning as white as snow as she squeezed her fists tightly.

Sujime still didn't understand what her role in all of this was, if she even had one, but she now had a choice to make... stay, and likely be the weak link, or leave, return home to her grandfather as a failed adventurer. But she knew she was too angry to make any decision of such importance. "Grah!" she screamed loudly, likely drawing attention to herself, but not caring. She began walking through the decaying corpses before finding her misplaced sword. She grabbed it and picked it up, effortlessly twisting it and returning it to it's sheath on her hip. She still didn't know what to do with everything that happened...
