"I hate to do it, but I need to leave these subways and comb the streets." Marnie spoke boldly. "That terrible ghost Braixen has possessed a friend and taken innocent people, including my best friend and trusted partner! I need to find them before any more harm comes to them. You're welcome to join."

She looks quite worried after hearing those news. She presses her index fingers together.

“I can’t really fight. Do you know if there is any sort of safe haven? Or an Inn? Or other group to go to? Weighing you down would be the opposite of what a maid should do.”

Assassin, Sasaki Kojirō
status: In japan, necromorphs, and the encounter of the swordsmen as empty...if not more so than he is.
condition: normal
Throughout the continuous track down the stairs and into the very tunnels themself, Kojirō remained silent as ever. Yes, he knows that now wrathful pokemon may take a swipe at them at some point. Really, it wouldn't be much of an issue to deal with her, especially more so with certan...simualrtys with a certain Vixon who held him by that temple gate. But that might need to wait for the time being, as they encountered what may be described as "the Dead" but much more mutated. Necromorphs, as one pokemon has called them. There was not much time to react before the mass of abominations came towards them.

Then came Yoriichi, slicing away at the Necromorphs with a presence comparable if not more so to someone like himself....empty wouldn't be the word for it. Sasaki lacks anything of meaning, being wrath who was placed on the mantel of a man who may not even exist, who lacks even a reasonable desire of his own besides that of seeking out worthy foes. But with the man before him, the odd breathing technique used in his form. It had to be something that devastating to force a man in such a state, more of a spirit than he is.

A man to make note off.

So as Shaw and Yoriichi have that tender moment, another group of necromorphs makes their arrival, Feeders to be exact. Those who are oblivious to the demon slayers might. They all lunge from various directions, all so animalistic and eager to get their hands on the two. But before such could be done...

D529305F7BC3D460AD89BFC8FE5001A08933AA18

The dozen or so Feeders would be found decapitated, limbs severed from various areas. If Yoriichi would look at that moment, he would find those three simultaneous strikes. Not stikes from a single breath, but those that have existed at the same time. That is what Tsubame Gaeshi is, a technique that is simply impossible for an ordinary man to create. And that one person who did so. was looking beside him.
655c7de2e4baab5c66e5149caad214cc.gif
No words were exchanged, just an attempt to get the demon slayer to focus on the still-present threat. Or perhaps he was just smiling over the tender feelings that Yoriichi was radiating towards the squirrel girl. He continued to strike swiftly at the necromorphs, moving to sever their heads. Yet even with those obvious targets...there was something about him that made those moves, unreadable to the naked eye. Not even a demon slayer like himself would have the means to adapt to such a....formless technique.

  • Kassandra , of course, completely missed the closing second portal, so Tifa's call-out kind of caught her off guard. This resulted in the former pretty much performing a 180 on the spot, though thankfully Ikaros didn't fly off simply because he tightened his talons around his perch- in this case, Kass' shoulder.

"Is something wrong?" She would've asked for them to elaborate, but the Fates had another event in mind.

THE REUNION
Both Athenian and Spartan swordsmaidens were on their guard, even in the light.

Neither of them knew what could possibly come next, the former because she was in a completely foreign territory now, and the latter because she didn't like being caught with. Either way, Kassandra heard a familiar sing-song voice echo down the hall, calling each of the trio by name. At this, Kassandra's eyes widened. Before she could spin around and give her bird whiplash, Ikaros decided to hop off, spreading his wings to fly over Aerith. Once the flower girl broke off the hug with Tifa, the eagle did exactly what he loved to do with his companion- who could see just what he planned before it even happened.

Bad_Ikaros_-_Assassins_Creed_Odyssey.gif

"No, bad Ikaros!" The Eagle Bearer called out to her bird, but it was too late. Ikaros had gently landed on Aerith's head, tilting his head down to her before chirping affectionately and hopping off, flying back over to do the exact same thing to Kassandra herself. This was as if to say, You don't have that much control over me!, and was a somewhat tease to his compatriot. It certainly worked, because Kassandra's expression sank as the bird stayed on her head this time. Thankfully for Ikaros, someone else seemed to have a decent sense of humor- at the sight of the miniature bird fiasco, Sophitia couldn't help but laugh softly.

"I assume by Aerith's call-out that you're all her friends?" The Athenian inquired. It didn't shock her, honestly, considering how friendly Aerith had been to a complete stranger earlier. Her green eyes swept over the other members of the newfound party, examining each person from head to toe. They had a fist-fighter, a blonde with a large sword not unlike the one young man she'd tried to purify to only some avail, a man who seemed to possess a regal air about him, and finally the woman with the eagle. The last one in particular, though... Both Athenian and Spartan women's eyes interlocked for a few moments, and they both seemed to sense the same thing- That they had history somewhere. Shockingly, Kassandra was the first one to break the gaze off, shifting her brown eyes down a little before blinking a couple times, then looking back up to Sophitia and speaking as Ikaros hopped back down onto her shoulder.

"That would be right. My name's Kassandra of Sparta-" The Spartan part actually slipped off her tongue this time out of habit- "That's Cloud, Tifa, and finally King Leonidas." It was at this that Kassandra observed a look of surprise on the green-eyed girl's face, both at the mention of Sparta and King Leonidas himself. Honestly, getting a good look at the girl? Besides for the sense of familiarity, she actually was wielding weapons that made some sort of sense. Kassandra could see a sword and shield slung over the other newcomer's back. That said, her attire and face told a different story; the girl looked like she was much more of a peacemaker than a soldier or mercenary, nor did her tone possess the hard-edge that was attributed to a fighter. Unfortunately, her thoughts on the new girl was broken off when Ikaros tipped his head down again to peer back into his perch's vision, staring upside-down and twittering before "standing" again.

"And, of course, I can't forget Ikaros. There's a reason why they call me the Eagle Bearer, after all." At this, the new girl nodded.

"I'm pleased to meet you all. My name is Sophitia Alexandra, of Athens." At this point, the Greek girl in question bowed down to the others, though in particular to Kassandra and Leonidas.

...AND THE AMBUSH
Unfortunately, further greetings would be impossible; the icebreakers would have to wait.

The ancient Greek misthios (mercenary) may have missed the portal, but she certainly did not miss the human-animalesque hollering. To her, it actually kind of sounded like a wolf. The first thing that came to mind was the Lykaon Wolf- who, in Greek folklore, was originally a cruel king cursed to become a wolf. But that couldn't be right; she'd slain the supposed king in her own world. Gods, she'd even skinned it to bring its pelt to a Huntress of Artemis and given its head to a Spartan king.

The dead couldn't possibly come back, right? At least, not after being practically confirmed dead. She knew a... partner, per se, who'd supposedly died in his world but had been alive and breathing thanks to one of these multiversal incidents, but he'd at least died of natural causes and she doubted anyone messed with his body afterwards. But she digressed. Whatever this thing was up ahead, it better not have any funny ideas.

When Cloud asked about letting it come to them, the Spartan shook her head as she turned to face the source of the sound- thankfully, not as rapidly as last time, so Ikaros was fine. At this point, she probably should have donned her Hephaestus suit, but that was unfortunately something she would forget in the heat of the moment. With her flaming Dagger of Kronus still directed at the tunnel, she turned her head to look at the other duo. Oh, and she also forgot to snuff her flaming dagger despite the great lighting, which went to show just how distracted she was.

"I'd say we take on whatever that was head-on. If it's an animal, the last thing I want is for them to be stalking us instead of the other way around." At this, Ikaros chirped softly as if to agree with her; then again, he was an apex aviating predator, so obviously he would be fine with being the predator rather than the prey.

The Athenian holy warrior, on the other hand, shook her head at this before drawing both her Omega Sword and Elk Shield- which both got a mildly interested expression from Kassandra despite the circumstances, though not a word.

"If we have to fight them, we should be much more careful. I have never heard anything like that before, even on my trips through the world. I mean, my world." Of course, she still didn't quite understand the concept of the different world yet, but she was somewhat quick to correct herself. She might not be Agnodice, but she was quick on her feet mobility-wise and in terms of learning. Either way, it seemed like the group was more drawn towards a fight, so Sophitia reluctantly took the rear flank just as Kassandra and her eagle took the middle part of the group- which, at this point, the latter finally remembered to extinguish her flaming blade before sheathing it.

Ten minutes later, they found the source of the sounds.

And they did not seem too pleased with the newcomers.

Kassandra actually didn't say anything whatsoever when the group got close to the horde of disgusting living corpses. Honestly, despite the fact they were attacking some random figure, she was hoping to either avoid the horde or try to get in closer and pick a couple off before the rest noticed. Unfortunately, that was not to be, as one of the monsters looked back at the party before letting loose a screech. At this, the Eagle Bearer quickly waved Ikaros away with her right hand before drawing her Spear of Leonidas in her off hand, and finally uttering two words:

Assassins_Creed_Odyssey_Fields_of_Elysium_-_The_Fate_of_Atlantis_Full_Episode_1.gif

"Oh, shit."

Perhaps most surprisingly, Sophitia was quick to react despite being at the back of the pack at the beginning. With both her weapons out, she seemed to duck slightly before gliding forwards and in front of both Aerith and Tifa in particular, leaving what seemed to be a few feathers and an air-esque trail behind her. This was an "Angel Step", allowing her to move forwards a bit faster.

"Stay behind me if you have to!" The Athenian girl declared, leaving both Midgar girls with the option to do as they pleased. Either way, she was quick enough to perceive a Puker's corrosive projectile heading towards the party, intercepting the bile with her Elk Shield. Unlike most "armor" pieces, the holy weapon seemed to shrug the bile off rapidly, allowing her to address an incoming Feeder with a shield bash and a swift decapitation while it was stunned. To be honest, Sophitia genuinely hated killing anything- even these people who had clearly been overcome by something- but she didn't know if she could do anything to save these creatures... or people. All she knew was that she had to defend herself.

Meanwhile, Kassandra wasn't having any defensive tactics. In contrast to her mild-tempered Athenian counterpart, the fiery Spartan was going all out. With just her Spear of Leonidas, she started by ramming it into a Feeder's head, the Spear glowing with familiar power just as Kassandra used it to Rush Assassinate from victim to victim. The spearhead hit its mark each time, with Kassandra rushing over to her target and pulling the Spear out to throw it again a total of four times on four Feeder victims, but every single one of them seemed to already be recovering when the mercenary pulled her Isu artifact out of her last foe.

"By the gods, what are these things?" At this point she drew her Hero's Sword, lighting it aflame this time. She just spotted the Athenian girl getting pelted by poisonous bile things, so chances were that coating Kassandra's own weapons with poison wouldn't be as effective as it normally was- so that left fire as the other option. In addition, she looked up for a split-second before motioning backwards with her Spear. In turn, Ikaros actually turned tail and moved as far back as he could to watch Kassandra from a distance; the Eagle Bearer had quickly and nonverbally requested he stay away from this fight simply because she did not want him hit with one of those nasty projectiles.

Either way, this time she heard the other man's declaration of dismemberment, prompting the brunette to get in close to a Slasher. Just as the mutated monstrosity approached, Kassandra feinted left in order before sidestepping right just as it made a swipe in the wrong direction, hacking off one claw. Sure enough, it seemed like it was a good deal weakened compared to just stabbing it with as much power as Kassandra had. So it was only natural for the Spartan to follow up with an immediate slash to the head, cutting it clean in half. Once she was done, she heard the other men talking about the survivor's ex-comrades and about the girls lasting, before giving a glance towards the other girls.

"I think we'll be just fine over here!" The Spartan declared before noticing her grandpater in the fray of the fight. Without hesitation, the Eagle Bearer rushed forwards to join Leonidas, plunging his old spearhead into a Feeder coming at the Spear's original owner from behind before hacking the monstrosity in two with Kassandra's flaming Hero Sword.

"Dóste tous típota, allá párte apó aftá ta pánta. Give them nothing, but take from them everything!" She uttered- the first part in Greek and the second in English. This was, in fact, a Spartan saying by the King himself. Kassandra, still standing behind the old Spartan king, only looked at him for a few seconds to see if he'd turn and give her a look, then turned her focus back to the battle, drawing Paris' Bow and nocking a fiery arrow before firing it once at a Puker's head. No abilities this time because she wasn't sure if it would somehow explode or something along those lines upon death, and because she didn't want to inadvertently hit one of her many allies in this chaos.

"If we don't take everything from these monsters, we're definitely going to see them later or they might even ambush us! We need to finish all these monsters here and now!"

Meanwhile, seeing the absolute chaos that was ensuing and Cloud getting hit, Sophitia gradually changed from an extremely defensive style to emphasize more on punishing her foes. Unfortunately, even this wasn't enough; despite near-perfect movement and defense to protect the Midgar girls and herself, she was getting more and more overwhelmed by the horde. Each time she deflected a Puker's spit, another bomb was already soaring through the air. When she parried a Feeder in front of her, it seemed like there was another breathing down her neck from the right side. However, the blonde holy warrior thought of a way to fight back and give the party some breathing room, and the second the onslaught faltered even a little bit, she took her chance, kicking a Slasher that came too close to her before slashing upwards with a force strong enough to knock it into the air.

"Purifying light!"

tumblr_p0poh7cw6N1uq6svio2_500.gifv

At this, the Athenian's Omega Sword became electrified, sparking with energy just as she threw it up to hit the Slasher in its center mass. The effects seemed pretty much instantaneous; the electricity spread through the Slasher's mutated cadaver, signaling what was about to come.

"Close your eyes!"

Praying to the gods that her raised voice would carry her command to the others through the current chaos, she positioned her Elk Shield between herself and the Sword-Slasher, and looked away whilst following her own order. Despite being a bit unsure of whether this would expose the party for too long- and without enough time to glance back to see what Sophitia's plan was- Kassandra followed suit, shutting her eyes and lifting her arms up to act as a shield in case any of the monsters decided to attack. Either way, the young Athenian Greek's idea would become obvious in a few seconds.

Once the Slasher victim was engulfed in electricity, the lightning would seemingly burst into a bright, holy-esque light gifted by Sophitia's Greek gods.

Even if the holy power didn't immediately eviscerate whatever wicked creatures were nearby, the luminescent blast would certainly at least blind and hopefully stun the Necromorphs long enough for the team to retaliate against the sheer numbers in the pack and whittle down the horde. And chances were that there was more than enough Necromorphs to go around the party.

"Now's our chance to retaliate!" Sophitia cried, opening her eyes and lifting her right hand into the sky. As if on command, the Omega Sword dropped right into her palm, allowing her to continue attacking and defending in case there were Necromorphs unaffected altogether.

Before the guy could respond, she heard someone call out to her and noticed that it came from...well, some sort of talking animal. Again, not the weirdest considering what happened ever since Raccoon City. “
Uh, hey. Nice to meet you too, Neb, I’m Claire. And these are guns, I’m fine with you joining us if the others are fine with it too.

The guy responded, proceeding to make a portal and appeared in front of a subway entrance. Hearing his price, she wasn’t the best haggler so she might as well pay up. However before she could grab her wallet and pay for them, Neb began to levitate gold bars that he had in his gem, giving them to the man. “
That’s a lot of gold. What did you do for this Miss Marguerite to earn all of those?” With that out of the way, she walked through the portal, waiting for the others before heading down into the subway. There, she heard something call out to… whatever it was calling out to. “What the hell?” Going deeper into the metro system with the others, she eventually heard another noise that obviously didn’t sound good. This was followed by a sight that made her eyes widen, nothing like she had seen before up to this point.

As soon as one of the creatures noticed them, she immediately pointed the minigun at the creatures and began to fire at them, aiming for the limbs. If she could take out the limbs, they wouldn’t be able to get any closer and they could finish them off while they stayed on the ground.

Cameron nodded as his response when the blue-haired woman named Aqua asked him that he’s here to help too and with that, he pulled out his M4A4 from his holster before he followed the blue-haired girl on their way to the subway. Once he heard the noise too, he too tightened his grip on the custom-made handle of his M4A4.

The half-German would continue to follow Aqua in the metro systems yet when a noise and a sight shook the blue-haired girl. He was trying to aim at the suppose creature when one of them tried to charge at Aqua but when eight circular traps is in place, it exploded before he could run away following Aqua and he tries to shoot the one of the creatures with his M4A4 and he would use his water abilities by casting a water projectile to one of the creatures, Scheisse, there are too many of these things!!!!

He exclaimed when Aqua cast a slow-moving fireball that can slow the creatures down, he was under immense pressure from the creatures when one of the creature's attempts to lunge at the half-German in which he used a water-like sword on its limbs. Cameron would turned back to the creatures before he tries to reload his magazine after he realized that he wasn’t reloading after his old magazine ran out, he was waiting for Aqua to respond while trying to fend off the creatures in order to find out who sent the creatures to attack the two since they would be in grave danger.

  • Nebula
Wait, what? Gold is actually expensive around these parts?! That surprised Neb. To him, gold was only used to make certain furniture and clothing. Though, to be fair, rather expensive-looking furniture and clothing
"Well, um... Yea.... She asked me to help her make dyes... And it's not too expensive either! I could get a hundred of these from Bellamy!"
Neb sucked at describing it properly. Thankfully, however, Claire already walked into the portal, so he only needs to catch up. After (almost literally) sucking all but one the floating gold bars back into his Spark he stepped into the portal, alongside the others

    Later, in Tokyo City...
The packed urban landscape and slightly cold atmosphere of Tokyo is a fresh breathe of air from the harsh sun and dry air of Vegas. Neb was about to stop and take in the view, however it seems that can wait. He followed the lot into the underground metro system. And suddenly, the slightly cold atmosphere soon became really cold. So cold it sent shivers down his spine... It's like Blood Tundra all over again isn't it?...

Then, they reached the deeper ends of the subway tunnels. Plenty of these weird machines that are just.... There.... They're on, as the lights on them indicate, but nobody seems to be using them. Nor are they moving like those fast machines back in Vegas... And suddenly, a group of large abominations showed up from the deeper end of the tunnels. It looked... Well, it was enough to spook poor Neb. But he persevered, and as Claire started firing one of her bigger guns at one of the creatures it became clear for him what to do. Either he could run away, or fight. And somehow, he chose to fight

Neb materialized a sickle from his Spark, which emanates a soft blue glow, before chucking it right at one of the arms of the monster. The sickle chewed through it's limbs one by one, as he tried keeping his distance away from it

  • “I....don’t know. Somewhere very high up.” I replied to Eric.
What that likely meant was I sent them falling to their death in a faraway place.
But now it’s time I made some moves.

    61AAD208-B1D6-4A90-91BC-E2530E3F500D.png
I noticed I was being attacked. Just in time, I opened a portal in front of me and one behind another Necromorph, sending the acid through it.
After it closed, I opened two portals to my sides, and several behind me. Firing magical bullets from both arms, with these two acting as entry points and the many behind me as exit points, I effectively duplicated my attacks to rain down on unsuspecting Necromorphs. I appear to mostly be aiming for the puckers, leaving the others to deal with melee attackers.
I wince. I made some decent progress on the number of pukers, but that move alone seemed to exhaust me. Such energy used so quickly made it more obvious that my hair was changing from green to yellow, like a leaf changing in the fall season.
I can’t be attacking like this for long.

Yoriichi's small moment with Shaw didn't last much time. The subway was still overrun with these creatures- and others were still being run down. Yoriichi's hand quickly moved away from the small girl's head, his smile soon disappeared from his face, before it returned to that stoic professionalism. More and more Necromorphs came, as he held his Nichirin Blade tightly. Sparks and flames still seemingly shining off from it, before off to his side- he could see it. A group of Necromorphs, running off towards him and the little girl. Yoriichi's eyes quickly moved about as the creatures lunged at him. He didn't flinch. He didn't move back. His hand stood still atop his shining blade. He'd still go. He'd still fi--

In just a blink of an eye, the beings were destroyed with skill similar, if not equal to Yoriichi.

...The man that came forth was akin to a spirit of the dead itself. He had no substance. No reasoning. No story to speak of. They say masters of their craft always returned to the same place. And as Yoriichi stared at the man in front of him, he could tell this man was someone akin to himself. The resemblance was uncanny. Yet, Yoriichi's gave didn't change. He didn't smile back, he didn't say any words, as they weren't necessary. But he couldn't help but almost see...Someone else in that man. Someone similar to him...

Mere milliseconds passed. Yoriichi's eyes turned again- the See-Through World revealing itself to him, showing that Shaw, the girl, was in danger, and so were many others- choosing to lose their minds in self-blame then to fight. For any looking, they could sense something resonating from the man, with Sasaki feeling the most. Something akin to a fever- yet at the same time, something akin to a mark of fire itself was resonating to all strong warriors here. Yoriichi's Demon Slayer Mark was resonating among the strong warriors here present.

-Yoriichi-Tsugikuni-kimetsu-no-yaiba-43556091-300-533.jpg

In that single moment, Yoriichi's Tsugikuni became the sun itself.

"Breath of the Sun. Thirteenth Form."

Yoriichi moved.

He moved as silently yet as deadly as fire itself. It was as if he was ever-present in the room filled with warriors- his unconceivable presence making so others could only see the edges of the flame of his sword, but...It was beautiful. He slashed away at Shaw's attackers, and any other Necromorphs that attacked any children, or child-like entities in the room. Necromorph limb fell after Necromorph limb, no screams, no attempts to dodge- he moved so quickly, so silently, and so effectively that before these creatures could notice it, their heads were already rolling on the floor, he less seemed to be fighting, and he more seemed to be dancing.

In some bizarre and unbelievable way, it was truly a thing of beauty. Many here saw pretty things in their life. Loved ones, nature, events...But Yoriichi almost seemed to be dancing like it was some sort of ritual. Some sort of beautiful dance. Like some sort of tribute to a fire god that didn't destroy, but give hope. To people like Sasaki, who was so similar to him, they could almost think that Yoriichi's final and most beautiful form was his way of comforting them- and any other here present who is currently suffering.

And that resonance only got stronger, as if inviting other warriors to join him in this dance of hope and prosperity.

He moved quickly as he could- his eyes taking notice of an event- some strange ethereal creature taking hold of the squirrel girl, alongside other innocents.

His feet touched the ground- his body shifting- eyes in a pure white of emotionless determination, as Yoriichi Tsugikuni, cutting across Necro after Necro, made his way towards the kidnapped group with speed only matched by ones such as Sasaki. He trusted the man would be able to hold off on his own while he did this. It shouldn't take long. After all, he doesn't like the thought of abandoning a fellow swordsman.

The frightening looking aliens where set ablaze by Lilith's spirits and they screamed in pain, they tried to lumber towards her as quickly as they could but they fell to they ground only a few feet away. "Alright, this may take a while." She says trying to catch her breath, but before she could let her guard fully down one of them crawled out from a train close by and ran over to swipe at her. Unfortunately for the necromorph it's hand went right through Lilith, witch left it to look at her confused. Although Lilith was startled by the attack she used one of her spirit spikes to impale it through the chest a second later.

  • "I understand..." Marnie sighed, staring hopelessly at the cityscape. As Giffany, Emer wouldn't leave behind any loose fur, and her scent was quickly obscured in all the foot traffic. Syl and Asha had also vanished, so there were no witnesses. "There's a hotel where everyone has been taking shelter. I'll show you."

Before that could happen, however, a bluish, sparkly cat-like thing galloped down into the subway with a small party behind him. Before her very eyes, the maid would watch the rabbit slowly, steadily change from sorrowful to looking completely feral. Her soft fur turned prickly, her normally slack eyes were dilated, her fist slowly ignited itself. Just how many people were tricked by that stupid distress call? Did the caller know that their little prank had just cost them five people?

Even though the Lopunny was ready to Fire Punch everything she could see, she still guided the maiden to the hotel, made sure she settled in, then ran for the subway with hardened eyes.

This wasn't about impressing Julia anymore, this was about the principle. Anyone whose phony distress call ultimately led to the disappearance of her best friend would be destroyed.

It might have surprised people when she stomped back into their line of sight, but she wouldn't talk to anyone. Try as they might, the Necromorphs couldn't even turn her away from dead forward. Any time they managed to get her down to the floor, her powerful legs forced them off, and she stood up again as if nothing happened. In the rare moments where nothing attacked her, she took robotic steps forward, seemingly just wanting to reach the end at this point. It was somewhat uncanny to watch, her cold aura making it clear that this battle had turned absolutely, 100% personal.

Oba
Voss retaliated by pulling himself harder from Oba's grip. He even went as far as to bat the Floran's forearms trying to free himself. Oba's increased force on his coat began to stretch it slightly, making the sea captain ever so livid... with a hint of panic, of course.

VossAngry.png

"Hey! HEY! Stop, now! Yer gonna rip it! If ye fuckin' rip it, I'm gonna pluck yer big fuckin' head flower thingie! Then we'll be even!"
1603716392950.png
"FLORAN WILL RIP Y O U IF YOU DONT SSSSTOP!!"
Voss began to notice Oba's expression, especially after he called her a freak. Her furious but sober look made Voss temporarily halt in his assault on Oba. He resumed once Oba pushed Voss' coat back in response to Zane's gunshot. Even when he took note of the Floran's now weakened grip, it was still difficult to escape. He was contemplating other ways to possibly free himself. He could kick her... bite her... Hell, he had enough room to sock Oba in the face as he warned.

Maybe he would if he wasn't so afraid of her. It's embarrassing, really.

"'Shut up?!' Ye can't tell me what to do! Go after him!" Voss pointed at Abbott, who was still behind Zane. "I didn't anythin' wrong! He stole me map, that bastard! Showed it to somebody else before destroyin' in front of me very eyes! He's the one that needs...!"

VossFear.png
Voss was interrupted by the Floran holding a knife dangerously close to his throat. The sea captain immediately shut up and froze. All he did was stare at the blade as he grabbed Oba's forearms in a vice-grip. A cold sweat quickly developed on Voss' face.
"... Floran doessssn't care.. Floran will cut BOTH of you if you keep resssisssting.."
Zane continues scanning the area thoroughly, despite all the noise behind him, his finger on the trigger. "I'll be sayin' this right now: any of ya' die, and it'll be yer' own damn fault."

Moving from their current spot is too dangerous. With no idea of where their stalker is located, they'd be caught off guard if they try to run. Best they can do is hunker down right where they are and defend themselves.
"FLORAN WON'T DIE!! Ssstupid..."

Oba growled at ZANE this time.. one, how DARE he think she'd just DIE AND WITHER!! She regarded herself insanely good at not dying, especially at the hands of others-
"DENZELLLL!!!"
So much for being so tough... The Floran's entire demeanor shrunk, upon hearing such a high pitched scream.. she looked back, at the direction of the ship, and Voss could FEEL shivers begin to run through her. And they weren't something a mammal would produce. They felt like something COMPLETELY out of this world.. like little scales beginning to pulse and shift in the sections of her.. 'skin'...
Voss completely ignores Zane's warning, as he was preoccupied with Oba's... uh, knife. His eyes were still locked onto the weapon, but he was slowly becoming bolder by the minute. He couldn't just stand there looking all scared! In his mind, Voss had to look as brave as possible under the worst of circumstances. Even when a knife was being pointed at his throat. Plus, he didn't think Oba would really hurt him... right...?

With a gulp, Voss let go of Oba's right forearm in favor of lunging towards her wrist. Then, the sea captain would try to wrestle the knife out of her hand. Terrible choice, Voss.
"EH-HEH!?"
1603716430832.png
Instead of fighting back again, the Floran backed away, still grasping the knife.

NARROWLY missing Voss's OH so precious beard..

But, she hadn't cut him, or his beard.. she just stepped back, snarling at him, but then looking back towards the ship, her blue and glassy eyes seeming to almost go into a tunnel vision.. most of her focus was now on THAT... SCREAM.
Meanwhile, Abbott was anxiously watching the event play out. As much as he hated Voss, seeing this made the ex-sailor incredibly worried for him. Not necessarily because he didn't want to see him get hurt, but Abbott hated any sort of violence. He was a pacifist, after all. And he'd intervene if he actually wasn't so scared for his own life...

A scream broke through the air, distracting Voss and catching Abbott's attention. To the gangster, the voice was unfamiliar but nearby. Voss, however, recognized it to be one of his kidnapped sailors... His First Mate...

It was Kieron, and his muffled voice sounded panicked. Not only that, but he was yelling for Denzel...

Abbott loudly questioned who it was, not having met the new sailors yet. Voss never bothered to answer, instead deciding to return his gaze onto the Floran.
Well, according to Oba, she didn’t get dragged through a portal. “Okay, well, most of us got dragged through a portal. It still doesn’t take away from what I said about that others could’ve been dragged through portals too. Though maybe the cops here can listen to you if you tell them you’re a space cop.” Before she could say something to Voss, he seemed to go deadly quiet at the fact there was a knife at his throat.

With that out of the way, she looked at Abbott. “
You okay, Abbott?” Her gaze went back to the roof that the tile had fallen off of, keeping an eye on it. That was until a noise came from her pocket and she took out her phone, seeing a voicemail appeared on it. “Okaay… this is weird, it just appeared on my phone.
Hitting play on the voicemail, she listened to the message. What got her attention was what happened after the second short period of silence, giving her a feeling of uneasiness but she wasn’t going to show it. “Well, we can either go check that out or we can deal with whoever the hell is on that roof.

And then Voss decided to try to get Oba’s knife in which Skye was about to step in if it wasn’t for the scream that rang out. “
Great, we’ve got another problem. Voss, you seriously need to fucking stop this, there's bigger problems.
"..."
AbbottGrin.png

"... Uh, yeah. I'm fine. Man, I wish I brought my phone." The gangster meekly grinned at Skye, although it was very genuine. "As bad as it is right now, Voss didn't react like I was afraid he was. I thought he'd gut me like a fish or something haha..."

Abbott's smirk swiftly diminished when Voss began wrestling with Oba and grabbing her knife. He stuffed his hands in his pockets, dropped his head, and shook it.

Meanwhile, Voss was still fighting with Oba, even as Skye told him to stop.

VossAngry.png

"I need to stop this? How the fuck do I stop when someone is pointin' a knife at my neck?? I'm tryin' my best, here!"
Zane looks back at his group and a sigh escapes his lips from the sight. "We're about to feckin' die and yer' still fightin'. Where the hell did I go wrong."

...that's all he has to say on the matter.

Huh.
Looking at Abbott, she gave him a smile. “That’s good that you’re okay.” Her attention turned towards Voss, the smile disappearing as she listened to him. Seriously, did he forget how he ended up in this situation in the first place? “...really? It was because you wouldn’t stop in the first place that you ended up with a knife at your neck.

After what Zane said, she had to wonder if any of them had heard the message that she had just played for them. “
Did any of you not hear that message I just played on my phone?” Sighing, she looked at Zane and Abbott. “We could just leave with Abbott, y’know? Head back to my apartment? At least there, we shouldn’t be in any danger and I’ve got booze for you, Zane.
"... EH..?? Shhh.. we.. have.. MORE important thingsss to worry of now.. yesss.. Kieron fleshy thing yelled for Denzel fleshy thing... they are both in danger maybe?? And what about ssstealth... Floran KNEW thisss wasss bad idea to leave them behind.. Floran isss going to go sssee what happened, not care if you all ssstay behind.. cowardsss..."
1603716464725.png
Oba scoffed, turning away from the group, and marching along. She was sure Voss would leave Abbott alone now.. but she was too concerned with going ALL the way back to even care to check...

Ryujo Katagiri || This is happening too fast

@Event Squad

Ryujo introduced himself, before hearing Ifrit's name.
"Huh? Eefrit, like Kotori Itsuka Eefrit?"

A bit later, the group ran across some ugly creatures. Ryujo trembled at the sight of them.

"What the hell are those things?!"
He asked, as he thought about what to do.

Butch the Survivor

Back with the group, Butch was still slicing through solo Necromorphs that dare to stray away from their protection in numbers, dodging and blocking blows with either of his short swords, but during his small dance of steel and flesh, he heard a warning about covering ones eyes, and thinking it was gonna be either very bright, or not good looking for the eyes, Butch merely closed his eyes, and raised both his arms over the multiple holes within visor, protecting his vulnerable eyes from the bright light by the stranger’s attack towards one of the Necromorphs.

But the words to retaliate against the creatures now made Butch remove his arms, now ready to continue with the others upon the other Necromorphs, until, to those looking upon his form, it will begin dripping a red liquid from his exposed skin... even in the parts with no wounds, but the man merely looked upon his now bloodied skin, and said nothing more, as he put both short swords into their holsters, and grabbed a red vial, which seemed to drip as well with the crimson liquid, but before the man could open it, a small ball of acid went forth and hit his left hand, causing the man to drop the vial in pain as he looked upon the Spitter that managed to make its Mark, as the vial rolled across the floor, before stopping a tad bit away from the man.

“No!..... grrrgh... someone, grab that Vial I dropped, I need it in order to survive!”

he yelled out, as dodged another ball of acid from the Spitter, holding his still badly burnt hand with his right hand, now focusing on dodging until he gains the vial back.

  • Suddenly, between slashes, Cloud was jumped and clawed by the throat. Though he was able to lethally retaliate, the force was enough to send him stumbling to the ground to check himself over. Did it...no, it didn't get him in the jugular. Good. But it still hurt to make any noise beyond gasping.

Seeing the herd thin down, however, motivated him to make these last slashes his best.

His ears picked up a tiny plink , his eyes catching a little gleam. When Butch yelled about a lost vial, the mercenary put two and two together, and jumped down in hopes of reclaiming it.

Eventually Fawful blasts his way through the horde enough to find a group of other people fighting off the strange creatures as well, he walks up to one with spiky yellow hair P PopcornPie “what exactly are you all supposed to be?” He says catching the neck of one that tried to jump him and crushing it in his metallic hand.

His search took him farther away than he expected- it was something he didn't enjoy. Leaving capable warriors to fend by themselves...Yet, they were capable warriors, that was the biggest throwback to it all. In his mind, these people were stronger than him in every sense of the word, stronger than him in every way he wasn't. He just hoped he could be fast enough to end this before it was too late. Children were in danger. Innocent people were in danger.

The sound of footsteps warned the peerless swordsman of who he was looking for had come for him.

And for a single moment, his eyes widened, yet his expression didn't change.

The voice did not belong to the small girl he had met. It was filled with malice, blind, uncaring rage that didn't care whether they were right or not. Forcing others to do their bidding. A person that did not care whether or not others dies, as long as it proves that they were right, they would stop at nothing. The essence he saw emanating from the innocent girl he met was disgusting, the question that it asked was filled with so much malice and smugness that for a single moment, Yoriichi remembered why he fought.

Shaw- no, Emer got a reaction from Yoriichi, yet it wasn't one she was expecting.

"Tell me. What are lives for you?"
Where the air was bright and hopeful when Shaw fought alongside Yoriichi, if not bittersweet, in this instant, it was like the temperature had dropped to unbelievably low levels. Emer was a 'ghost,' but when she looked at Yoriichi, he felt less than human. There were no emotions emanating from him. Hatred. Anger. Bloodlust. None of these feelings were being sensed off of the strongest Demon Slayer as he asked that question, slowly walking towards the possessed ghost of the girl.

"What do you feel when people suffer? What do you feel when others are scared? What do you feel when others wish to be saved?"

A mist seemed to rise itself around them. Deep down, Emer knew he wasn't asking this question to just her, but to someone else too.

"Is it pleasurable for you? To hurt others?"

  • "Do not talk to me." Marnie hissed at Fawful, not even glancing at him. "I'm gonna find whoever sent this signal, and, so help me bald baby Mew, they are going to wish these monsters got to them first." She was so pissed that she wasn't even paying attention to her bleeding wounds, not even the reopened scars.

“Hm, very well then.” He says blasting a few more in the face. "You are not saving lives, creature."
Yoriichi's words were as calm as ever. In fact, they were beyond calm, they were cold. He held his blade casually upon his blade- and the way he did it showed how much skill he had. This was a man that had no peers in his world. The greatest swordsman where he was from. Yet- he didn't swing his blade yet. Either be that due to the ghost using the innocent girl as a literal meat shield, or simply because he wasn't done talking to her yet.

"What you are doing is acting like the selfish individual you are. Saving only those you see are worthy and special in your eyes, and letting others who are actually brave and kind suffer by your hand or die without you even batting an eye when you find them worthless. And when others try and stop you..."

When 'Shaw' blinked, Yoriichi was gone from the spot- no matter what sort of abilities or powers she had as a ghost type, she couldn't sense his movements or his presence. And before she could realize it...

kimetsu_no_yaiba___yoriichi_tsugikuni_by_artoframnismal_ddyuefb-fullview.jpg

Yoriichi was standing right behind her.

"You run away and use brave ones like this girl."
To Emer, it was clear that she made the wrong answer- Yoriichi's aura to her specifically being cold and unable to be sensed, as the Demon Slayer rose his weapon at incredible speed- moving it against her- but not hitting her, or Shaw's 'body.' Instead, his sharp, 'flaming' sword cut against the wood of the ax she used, with enough strength to cut it, and cause the blade of it to fall, and cause the ghost to only be holding a stick against him.

But to Shaw...

She could have seen what almost appeared to be a small smile on the Demon Slayer's face. It was clear she made the correct answer.

Ok, it seemed like his plan worked for the most part... but after reaching the end of the alleyway and into the streets outside, he could hear the sounds of an person coming down from somewhere and beginning to check the trash cans, making the Imposter quickly think of a plan.... oh, wait a minute, why not use that one.... it always get him out of a bad situation, and it is literally the oldest trick in the book.... and if this is one of those other tall and strange creatures he killed earlier, they probably won’t even be able to react properly to it.

Now, to re-enact his plan, which is now when he is gonna list each step as he complete each one.... step one:

Dramatic Entrance.

As the Purple colored imposter quickly jumped out of their cover, before quickly presenting the weapon they planned on using, which seemed to be an comically large revolver within his right hand...
BBCD659D-A734-4E40-9249-7B150858F6C5.jpeg

Step two:
Say some much needed lines

“I did it like this!”

the Imposter said, quickly aiming their revolver at Quiet.

Step three:
???

And with that, the Imposter pulled the trigger of the gun, which let forth a flash of light as it fired forth a rapidly approaching lead bullet at the woman. But it had some.... much more impressive side effects on the Imposter himself.
D74B32B4-A5AD-44BE-B8A9-F206D37E8BEC.jpeg

Step Four:
Profit

And with that first and final shot, the Imposter was sent flying through the air, his entire body being launched by the knockback of the seemingly normal revolver, now soaring off into the distance, all of this, was apparently all according to plan with the Purple Imposter..... as the Imposter was never to be seen again, well, until he pops up once more in Las Vegas... but for now, it’s time to lay low.

Sam
Evening
Tokyo - Subway Area

"Identify the source of the sound. Do not engage yet unless you are certain that it is manageable."

Sam promptly replied to the Dokutah's comms.

"Roger that, Dokutah. We'll be on our way there."

At first the white-haired Lupo was calm, ready to organize a formation into the subway... until she heard Ifrit saying that Shaw has already entered the subway on her own, despite her previous plea for her to go together. Anger started to form on her face, before letting out a very disappointed grunt. Before she charged right into the subway...

"Ifrit, just stay at the back! I'll handle whatever that comes in front of me, while you burn them into ashes!"

Once she has reached the subway, battles can be heard echoing in the area. The area around her was relatively battle-scar free, but this could change as they progress further. Sam was already perceiving the stench of blood in the air. As such, she decided to unwrap the black cloth surrounding her Eastern Blade, revealing a katana with black-gold hilt. The sheath of the sword is also made in black color, possibly made of steel. Raythean's iconic logo was etched on the sheath as well. Everything seems to be in order. Heck, Sam also heard Ryujo mentioning about Ifrit's name mixed with some Eastern name.

"Ifrit's name is basically from some fiery demon mythology!" She quickly slipped a reply in as she ran towards the sound of battle.

As soon as they reached one of the subway stations, Sam finally realized the kind of mess that they got themselves into. A chaotic battleground consists severely deformed humanoid creatures against what it seemed to be fellow Otherworlders of various origins and sizes. The stench of death was undoubtedly strong, as the Otherworlders cut through swathes of those putrid, disfigured beings. Sam promptly wrapped her face with a bandana as a makeshift mask, reducing exposure to those nasty smells emanated from those inhuman corpses. Ryujo eventually expressed his surprise towards those... things, as Ifrit and her newfound green kid partner setting up their positions to attack or defend themselves.

"Mr. Katagiri, I have no idea what are those humanoid beings," Sam tries her best to explain the situation to Ryujo. "But it is most likely that those things are not from this world, and it has to be dealt with immediately, lest they start to harm the local populace. If you wish not to join the fight, I'll try my best to protect you. However, I have to find that panicking shorty firefighter. You can trust Ifrit and her green partner to take good care of you."

After that was done, she decided to take a deep breath with her amber eyes closed. Then...

"I'm going in!"

With her agility, the white-haired Lupo immediately began her assault, as she searched for Shaw...

“What am I going to do now?” She said to herself, “War is continuing, and I can’t do anything...”
