✦ charm - when it comes to people, he's good at making them talk and gaining their trust. the social part of missions is where he really thrives. [/div][/div][/div] [div class="tabsContent3" style="display: none"][div class=title]etc.[/div] [div class=yo][div class=scroll][div class=firstword]past[/div] the vampire's background seems to change everytime somebody asks; one time, he might say he was raised by a single mother, another by his gangster older brother. then, suddenly, he claims he was abandoned and raised by wolves in the woods, or bounced around foster homes - or just straight up says he's the secret son of a celebrity. only the ones who recruited him seem to know the truth. though his early past is a confusing web of contradicting information, one thing is certain. when he was twenty years old, charlie was attacked by a rogue vampire when going home late - he doesn't remember the event well, but when he awoke hours later, feverish and weak, he was changed. long, confused and scared nights followed his transformation, with charlie not knowing what the hell's happening to him. he feed off humans carelessly, working more on instincs than anything else. it was no suprise the agency caught up to him, after his string of feedings. seeing as he was barely aware of the supernatural world, they educated him - and the rest is history. he has worked for the agency for five years now and later joined team sacris.

knowledgeable: both nosy as hell and a book worm, cecilia is an informational sponge. meticulously well organized, the gal has her little black book of pertinent information, and yes, she'll know your blackmail you tried to bury and file it away for later use. great at gathering intelligence with a sharp tongue. her ideology? knowledge is power.

unfazed: growing up in a coven means you see a lot of shit. it's difficult to shake her up, and so cecilia works well in high-pressure situations and can get into the nitty gritty of hard work in team sacris. [/div]

good fighter: cecilia is a trained fighter, and fairly skilled at hand to hand combat. she's fast on her feet, doesn't back down from a challenge, and won't go down without a good ol' college try.

manipulator: that silver tongue will tell you whatever you wanna hear, as long as it gets cecilia what she wants. and if you're not so weak willed, she'll flip the switch and blackmail you without a second thought. sure, she lacks some empathy (and perhaps morals) but she'll get the job done. [div class="flex"] [div class="heading"]magic:[/div] [div class="deet"]all-seeing.[/div] [/div] [div class="box"] coming from a line of very old, very powerful witches, cecilia has the potential for this “magic” ability that she channels through both a natural source within herself, and can strengthen through the study of spellbooks, ancient texts and grimoires; wherein magic means being able to create, cause and bring about events unexplained or inconceivable for human science and comprehension, whether because science cannot explain them yet, or because they are impossible in our plane of existence. cecilia's magic grants her clairvoyance: anything she can both see and touch at the same time gives her some knowledge about said item she is interacting with. what she is able to learn depends on many factors; is this an animate or inanimate object? if inanimate, how old? the larger the building, the more brief and niche what she learns can get. if in an old historical building, cecilia could possibly learn a small bit of its history, but there is simply too much to absorb at once. people are an entirely different matter. using her clairvoyance on someone means she could learn a personal memory, something they experienced in life, or a factoid about said person, like their age or weight or their favorite flavor of ice cream.
because of this ability, cecilia is currently studying and trying to strengthen her ability to perform divination. it's a bit hit or miss, but with the proper tools and timing, she can see brief glimpses into the future. she's able to cast small spells, hexes, and charms in day-to-day life, given they don't take up very much of her energy. [div class="box"] cecilia's magic skill is like a physical muscle that her human body can sometimes struggle to flex, and as of now, significant spells and potions require a considerable amount of research, preparation, magical energy, and take a toll on her body. cecilia is constantly pushing the limits of her magic to go bigger, better and more powerful, and she is far too prideful to have a sense of self-preservation that warns her she could easily die if she pushed her three-dimensional body into the creation of multi-dimensional events too harshly. [div class="flex"] [div class="heading"]past:[/div] [div class="deet"]coven days.[/div] [/div] [div class="box"] born to vivetta and hans montgomery, cecilia is a lonely child in a big empty house. her german father was a charming, influential man, continuing to run his family's business conglomerate once his father stepped down. they grew up wealthy, comfortably, on the east coast of the U.S., but the distance between her mother and father was evident. as a child, cecilia had no idea what it could be. the idea of her parents not loving each other was a heartbreaking thought, and so the girl kept her mouth shut and excelled in whatever she could to garner her father's attention and love. a straight-a student, enrolled in private academies for her entire childhood, cecilia's smarts and intellect were obvious from a young age, and she graduated high school two years earlier than her peers. her mother, vivetta, née santiago-cortes, immigrated to the states from havana, cuba as a young adult. a strict and unforgiving woman, she knew it was important to instill discipline in cecilia from the start. the moment she learned her child would be a girl, the woman knew what potential abilities cecilia could harness. the women in vivetta's family were all witches, whether practicing their own santeria, or learning their own new methods of harnessing magic.
vivetta and hans kept secrets from each other. both severe, but one perhaps a bit more troubling than the other.
at ten years old, cecilia found out what her father got up to during those "late nights" he would work. one evening, she picked up his coat when it slipped to the floor, and the flashes of knowing came. after telling her mother, it soon came to light that he was having an affair, and even worse, his mistress had his child. she soon met her little brother, dietrich, barely a year old at the time. this was not the straw that broke the camel's back.

[div class="tag blue"]history[/div]Matthew's most vivid memory was that night, he was sure it would always remain that way, that night had had repercussions that rippled and echoed as it sent shock-waves through to the rest of his life. This memory was the one memory he wished he could forget, wished would fade away but instead it played out like a ghost in the back of his mind - once a month in screaming colour.

He'd always loved the outdoors, found himself drawn to the woods and moorland neighbouring his family's farm, spent every waking moment he could outside working on the farm or just breathing the fresh air in. He'd sneak out at night and creep to their barn, peeking out through a hole in the roof that his Father had kept forgetting to fix, watching the stars through that gap and often finding himself falling asleep before he could get back.

This love was ultimately his downfall as cliche as that may sound.

It was like any other night, there was a chill in the air and frost on the ground - Matthew could remember how the frost had crunched under his feet and how he'd been shivering and pulling his blanket around him as he went out to the barn, he could remember hearing something behind him and turning to face it. He could remember how his breath had appeared in front of him and the yellow orbs that had greeted him from the darkness. Then it was all blood and pain, he passed out on the ground and was found by his parents.

After that he spent his childhood wrestling with himself for control over his body and mind, forced to deal with the monster lurking beneath the surface and forced to try and accept that part of him.

soon , he would meet paola madricci , an immigrant from sicily much like himself except poorer. the two eloped and took the first ship back to catania in order to get married without giacomo's permission. he wanted his boy to marry 'purebred' and paola was anything but. their first child , maria teresa , was born premature but ended up a strong and cunning child nonetheless. soon after her birth , vinnie declared bankruptcy and left italy with his wife and daughter in tow. eventually , after sucking up to his father , giacomo granted him a very large loan which was used to buy an estate in manhatten. though vinnie worked on wall street as a stockbroker and earned a fine amount of money , he still leeched of his father much to his wife's displeasure.

In demonic lore, demons are actually ranked the same way angels are: Seraphim, Cherubim, Thrones, Dominions, Virtues, Powers, Principalities, Archangels and Guardian Angels. Every demon, after all, was once an angel. Though, if you asked Amy what it was like to be an angel, she wouldn't be able to tell you much. Most of her memories of Heaven are lost, which is hardly something that displeases her. Regardless, one's rank in Heaven is the same as it would be in Hell, so at the very least, she knows she was once an Archangel. Specifics on her old name or duties are gone from her memory, never to return, hopefully.
There's a myth in modern time that Archangels are the highest of the angels, but actually, they barely rank above the fella from It's A Wonderful Life in terms of status. While Amy's powers, as well as her true form, are incomprehensible to the average human, most other demons are of thirty times her stature and power. In demonic lore, demons are actually ranked the same way angels are: Seraphim, Cherubim, Thrones, Dominions, Virtues, Powers, Principalities, Archangels and Guardian Angels. Every demon, after all, was once an angel. Though, if you asked Amy what it was like to be an angel, she wouldn't be able to tell you much. Most of her memories of Heaven are lost, which is hardly something that displeases her. Regardless, one's rank in Heaven is the same as it would be in Hell, so at the very least, she knows she was once an Archangel. Specifics on her old name or duties are gone from her memory, never to return, hopefully.
There's a myth in modern time that Archangels are the highest of the angels, but actually, they barely rank above the fella from It's A Wonderful Life in terms of status. While Amy's powers, as well as her true form, are incomprehensible to the average human, most other demons are of thirty times her stature and power. She mostly works in the departments of temptations, discord and the open support of witchcraft, which the big man upstairs isn't a huge fan of.
How long has she been around? Amy can still remember a time when we were building houses out of sand, she's so old, but compared to the God that created her, or the Satan that took her in, she's practically a child. She did sleep through the crusades due to all the crucifixes going around. Even looking at one makes her eyes water a little bit, so she's known to oft put on sunglasses when walking past a church.

while he is no saint and has done his fair share of damage both on a micro and larger scale in the past, hadrian has long since deserted the mindset for destruction, instead finding it much more fascinating to integrate into different communities while exploring - and occasionally, exploiting - what drives humans in thought and in practice, what ambitions and faults they embody, and how such actions can ultimately lead to their success or downfall. this isn't to say that he's completely abandoned his roots - rather, the bloodthirsty tendencies often associated with demons have long been abandoned by him, and he seeks destruction and revenge not by physical and brutal means, but rather by a method he views as much more satisfying himself - through manipulation of flaws and weaknesses, such that his targets will ultimately bring their demise upon themselves without dirtying his own hands. as strange as it is, hadrian does take pride in gaining a reputation as being a rather intelligent, sophisticated demon - with every successful endeavor comes a refreshing wave of self-satisfaction for his ego, and even for a demonic being, it's a rather intoxicating indulgence he has always and will continue to happily welcome.

hadrian's first encounter with the agency comes as a result of his curiosity, as he happened to cross paths with a few agents while investigating several peculiar disappearances in a city he happened to be passing by. with the secret objective to tag along and annoy the agents for entertainment by disrupting their work, however, he somehow managed to contribute to uncovering the circumstances behind the disappearances and ultimately to helping solve the case himself. it was no wonder why the agency soon sought to recruit him, and despite his strong reluctance and refusal at first, the constant pestering of the organization eventually forced him to cave in, resulting in his entry into the agency and later into team sacris.
