Taro 'Obsidian' Star

Name: Taro Star, but nicknamed himself Obsidian due to his eyes and colour scheme.


Age: 17.


Personality: He is a strong believer that the Cringon should be fought with tactic and skill, not brute force. After all, a knife in the back creates less collateral and retaliation than a hammer to the face. However, despite his natural…’curiosity’ and ‘secrecy’ (he enjoys spying on people, and does it often), he does enjoy social gatherings and stuff like that. Unlike what people may think of someone of his skill set, he does know how to have fun.


Height: He is of average height, 174cm tall.


Skill: He is incredibly agile and stealthy, to the point where he can climb up walls quickly without being heard


Ability: When Obsidian holds his trinket, he is able to see every living creature, robot/cyborg and even Cringon for a 50 metre radius. He can also use this to enter a state of zen, allowing him to concentrate on any conversation/sound in that radius.

The gemstone in the centre is the actual trinket, and is more convex in shape. It is what allows Obsidian to have his ‘third vision’. The gem is also black.


Weapon/Weapons: His main weapons are two thin, yet incredibly durable (to the point where he can use the chains to block attacks), chains with small, knife like, blades on the end. Offensively, he uses them like whips to attack foes randomly and efficiently from a long reach. Defensively, the chain provides excellent protection against blades. This can also be used to grab weapons from afar, to pull them away. He can also use them similar to a grapple hook.


However, he isn’t limited to melee, as he often carries around five or so deadly throwing daggers, and a couple of dozen less deadly shurikens. He also does carry a special silenced energy pistol or electric pulse grenades, should he require something more…impacting.


Background: He spent the vast majority of his youth training to basically be able to ninja the living eff out of everything. He trained under a master, who eventually passed him to go to the SoS to train to become a Captor. This may seem short as a back story, but that is all there is to it.


Genetic enhancements?: While he has no genetic enhancements, he does have some cybernetic enhancements specifically, in his legs and in his fingers. In his fingers, he has replaced his fingertips with a special, Velcro-like, material that allows him to climb most surfaces by attaching molecular hooks into the cracks and crevices that most materials have. He isn’t, however, able to counter gravity meaning he cannot grab on a material if he is falling to it, or climb up anything steeper than 90 degrees. In his legs, he has special mechanical muscles that act as force dampeners that store the energy from falling (instead of letting it impact his body) into batteries that can be used to overcharge special pellets to detonate after 5 seconds. This electric pulse grenade acts as a EMP, but also does damage to none robotic things. He can also charge up his gun using it, since it only has about three shots before running dry. While he can, in theory, fall from a skyscraper unharmed, it would blow the batteries meaning he can’t use his electric weaponry and he also would emit a loud crackling sound pretty much constantly after the event. Typically, that sort of thing isn’t good for ninjas.


Anything you would like to add?: Has basic hacking skills, and expert lockpicking skills.
