Vagabond Spectre
Status: Calm

Twisting his frown to a smile. He wiped his tears of and brushed the dirt off his of million dollar priced suit. He gently re-combed his emo styled hair. "Okay..." He said with a monotone voice. "I heard there is a mall somewhere that serves great food." Spectre forgot that he no longer has his fancy car that's why he recommended a place close by instead.

The Guardian was quick to escape its witness. Invisibility comes in handy with that. Having been running for a while, it had reached the deeper, darker, more lonesome parts of its home-forest. A forest that expanded for a few miles, and a forest filled with secrets and beast like itself. This forest was where the Guardian for the first time awoke in, no memory of its past. Despite always moving, despite always changing homestead, it would always be inside this forest.

The Guardian had been running for a while, and it could feel the result. Hunger had already returned after, what it would assume to be, only a few hours. It had to start hunting again.
It slowed down its speed and noted its environment. It could not see, but all the other sense it held had been heightened to make up for that. With still a faintly hiss, it clicked its teeth, listening for a resonance. Like a bat, it listened for a bounce in sound noting where obstacles would be. A familiar scent of a rabbit filled the air as the monster dwelled further into the forest. The only things to notify one of the presence of the Guardian being the rustling leaves on the floor of the forest, branches shifting out of the way, and that faint hissing of pained breathing.

Food had been found and its hunger had been sated. The Guardian had wandered out into the more open areas of the forest, now visible to the naked eye. It had walked and walked, once again for hours, the only thing to halt its walking being the unnatural sound of paper crumbling under its 'foot'. It barely had to reach down to grab the crumpled paper. Its fingers traced the paper and the ink plastered onto it. Signals were sent to its brain making it clear what the paper read;

Monster Hunting Quest

It is time that this monster be gone from this land.
Too long has it terrorized and murdered innocent. Too long has its long arms and gaping maw reached out for the unfortunate.
Its non-existent eyes and its frail, tall body leave me quivering in fear. Its acts of devilish sin strike fright into my heart.

It is true!
I speak of the legend known as the
Guardian
It is true!
I speak of the fairytale horror known as the
Hisser

I wish to bring together the greatest of heroes.
I am in need of those with the intelligence of an owl and the wits of a fox.
I am in need of those with the speed of a rabbit and the strength of a lion.
Greatest of all, I am in need of those with the fearlessness of an oathmaker.

No longer shall children fear the night and its monsters.
No longer, for we shall be their heroes.
Truly, we shall be their Guardians.

The reward shall be 250 cookies for all who join

Alteras
Phandom Tower

And with that, Alteras was ready packing up her gear (storing it virtually) and carrying the little Specter under her arm to the nearest bus stop. As she waited for the Cat Bus to arrive, she asked, "What kind of food is there?" Clearly, food carries a great deal of importance to the android.

Nessy watched as the situation with Vagabond and Alteras came to a conclusion. She was definitely missing most of the context, but it seemed as though the little guy had done something that could possibly upset the mod, who luckily had been quick at forgiving him. Those two were so adorable together that if she didn't know better the cat-girl would have muttered 'I ship it'. Which she didn't because the art of shipping had limits and shipping your friends was definitely crossing them.
She did get relieved to see Specter pulling himself back together like that. Phew, he had really worried her when he had hugged Alty like that and started crying!

Now, everyone's focus was on getting some food. Their little friend had mentioned the existence of a Mall nearby and both Mech and Alteras seemed to have liked the idea. Sure, Nessy had liked it too, but she was one of those types that'd gladly go with what everyone else decided as long as she still got to eat something in the end. Location was absolutely no problem!

"Oh, we're settling for a bus ride?", the cat-girl asked, her tail flicking behind her in curiosity seeing as two of her party members had already started moving towards a bus stop, "I was thinking about suggesting that I just 'hopped' us all across 'till there... It would make our transit time shorter. I mean, bus trips are boring as heck!"

Vagabond Spectre
Status: fine

Like a small kid Spectre stood by and dried his ghostly tears. A bit embarassed on he acted earlier. Spectre was carried by Alteras herself. Spectre didn't seem to be bothered by it. In fact he's used to it. Spectre realized that Alteras was not human more like an android. Spectre mistaken her as a cyborg.

Spectre was lightweight. In fact he's lighter than a small child. It feels like Spectre is equally weighed to a cotton-filled stuff toy. Strange, yet it makes sense since he is a ectoplasmic being. Carrying around won't be a hassle.

Spectre looked up to Alteras. He tried to answer the android. "I'm not sure but i think they have a lot of food that everyone can enjoy." His normal childish tone was back like nothing happened. "Regardless of what food they got i'm ready to pay for us! I've got extra cookies to spare!" He cried. Spectre looked back and watched his car burn to crisp as they left.

The car wirth nothing to him since he already has his friends with him. Nessy was suggesting another method of transportation. Spectre smiled at them in agreement.

"I heard food, food is good." Bear's ears perked up at the mention of the best thing in the universe, aside from Sleep... and Love... and Baths... and... Ok, food ranked pretty high okay. "Food is good, and getting there faster, you know, for the food, is also good." She was in agreement with the cat and when the little ghost... thing spoke, one thought took precedence above all others; the sooner they got to food, the better.

"TO FOOD!"

It would be several minutes before she realized she was rolling the wrong way.

I was just happily skipping through the garden, observing each of the pretty flowers all around me, and wondering what happy thoughts they held that made them so colorful every morning, when I began hearing this sweet voice coming from over somewhere in the distance. I raised my eyes quickly and my eyes widened as my smiled followed, my knight in shining armor Flowey! Forgetting about my high heels I used to play grown-up I ran towards him, waving with happiness. Ah, but there is no need to worry, none of the flowers were really hurt, because when I stepped on them, they just went back to being little cozy seeds until the next morning.

"Flowwweeeeeeeeyyyyyy! Flowwweeeeeeyyyyyyyyyyyy!!! Up! Up!" I loudly greeted him, giggling all the way. I raised my arms as I got near him and leaped to his arms if he was to catch me. A trio of adorable stuffed animals were crawling through the flower fields to keep an eye on me, but I turned to them quickly and winked to reassure them I was ok, so they could go back to pretending to be normal stuffed animals. I turned back to Flowey. "What are you doing today Flowey? You know what, you know what, today I was gonna go to the mall, all by myself! Wanna come? Wanna? I'm sure it's gonna have all kinds of things you like too <3 !"

[flowiest liked that]

Flowiest did in fact catch the toddler and he flew about with a smile.
Oh she was adorable.
and she was going to the mall by herself? That would not do. The stuffed animals she had with her most of the time could not protect her or hold her hand as she crossed the street...
Flowiest was needed.

Landing back on the ground he places the toddler down gently with a rhyme.
I my dear toddler had just finished a task,
when I saw pink lights and flowers blast
I raced over fast soaring past
And I spotted you cutieboo
And I knew I had a clue
Why today I shall spend being a coddler to a toddler
And escort you to the mall,
Shall I accompany you? I promise we have a ball?”

It took everything in Flowiest not to become a puddle or a chibi flame around Archtoddler Archtoddler
But he loved her company anyway.
As evident by the text in the corner in green that showed off likes and dislikes to companions in video games

My eyes sparkled as I heard him sing to me like that, and my head bobbled with the melody as well. I couldn't help myself from giggling whenever he mentioned me, because it made me feel sooooo special that he would make all these songs about me! <3 I stretched my arms to give him a big hug, and swiftly moved my lips for a quick peck on his cheek followed by a playful wink. It was a bad way of saying "thank you", I knew that. I wished there was something more I could do for him with all this princess treatment he gave me. Oh, if only I really WAS a princess! Then I could toddle up to my prince and give him anything he wanted! But I was just an ordinary magical toddler, pretending to be an ordinary normal grown-up, while being made ever so happy by this great person who had come into my life one day. Indeed....

"Thank you!" I said, presuming it was a yes to my proposal to go to the mall. There was one thing about what he said that still confused me a little, though. An idea I would absolutely love, and was clearly super excited about. "Did you say there is gonna be a ball? Where? When? Who's coming? Why is it taking place? Is it a custom ball? *W*"

Flowiest had to hold his composure, arch just hugged me! And kissed my cheek!!
His face instantly becomes red as his fires as he stammered. Trying not to burst into a puddle in the cuties arms.
Then she mentioned a ball. Like a dancing ball?

Flowiest turned into a Chibi flame. He couldn’t help it. Archtoddler Archtoddler couldn’t help it.
Flowiest landed at her feet and looked up with a big flustered smile.
“You need to be more careful with that cuteness babyboo”
He looked up and then down with a sigh. “It’ll take a bit to grow back up but I don’t mind! Let’s go to the mall, I hear it’s one of a kind!”

All named people who mattered got a quest in the form they are used to.
It was somewhat a mystery, people had gone missing. They respawn however, with less cookies, equipment, experience in general.
Apparently it was a quest about hunting a monster.
To even enter said quest you needed at LEAST two people and to sign up in a group. Ratings and cookies by whatever load you choose would be the reward.

While being carried around like a stuff toy. His golden watch ringed and vibrated on his wrist while waiting for a ride to the mall. He ignored the watch for now. Spectre readied himself for Nessy's response. "Well Nessy, if you can bring us all there instantly. You may want to do it now." Spectre's head turned to the bus's direction just heading right away.

Alteras nodded in agreement while absentmindedly reading through the quest that was displayed in her vision. It was interesting, but she still far more interested in the prospect of good food. "Even I lack the ability of near instantaneous transport. The best I can do is utilize the massive infrastructure and system of hidden passages."

The catgirl waited attentively as the others one by one expressed their approvals to her suggestion. It was odd how even this simplistic level of acknowledgement still managed to make her feel needed and glad, because something she would do was actually going to be helpful. It made her feel like part of something. A something that from time to time would go completely missing, even if would still remain in plain sight:

"Well, I guess that settles it!", Nessy had enthusiastically let out, her tail flicking in anticipation behind her, "Okay so, uhhh, I haven't actually tried bringing other people with me before so, if you'd all COME BACK!!...", that had been mostly for the white bear who had been already rolling away from them (wait did bears normally roll?), "...And stand really close to each other, as in super close because I probably need to group-hug y'all, that'd be really helpful~!"

Though she had kept a chipper and positive tone through all of that, the cat's ears had gone slightly down, betraying a hint of nervousness. Really, playing with interdimensional travel like this was a bit risky, something she had completely overlooked while making the offer... Ah-ah~, now it was too late for that! All she could do was follow all the security measures and hope that they worked as well to others as they did to her... Oh boy.

Once everyone seemed to be in place, Nessy moved to place herself in a way she was enveloping the group, which turned out to be slightly more complicated since one of the party members was, well, a bear. In the end, she had hugged Alty and Mech from behind and merely placed a hand upon the bear's white and luscious fur. Specter would be just fine as long and Alteras did not release him, which she made sure to remind them of:

"Okay, last instructions before departure: Hold everyone you can, don't let go or you'll get lost~!", she squeezed the group a bit tighter, "Oh, and if you breathe, do hold your breath until we get there. Annnd Onetwothreego!!!"

Nessy closed her eyes and focused on what she knew as a mall, a big building with lots of space, stores and people. She pictured that mall, lights, glass, shiny floor, clients coming, clients going...

It didn't take that long and suddenly the environment was colder and noisier, with lots of new smells. She opened her eyes again and they seemed to be right in the middle of the food court. A couple passers-by looked surprised about the group's sudden appearance, others had resorted to asking them to quit blocking the passage, one more politely than others.

"T-ta-da~!"

The girl had hopped to the front of the group and announced as if she had known what she had been doing all this time, which, she had clearly not. Nessy didn't even know if this was the same mall Vagabond had been talking about, but she would keep the impression of having control over the situation no matter if it killed her right now.

Walking out of the food court after stuffing herself with delicious temakis, Nessy felt heavier and a bit sluggish. She wondered if she had ordered waaay too much food or if the plumpy rice, sea-weed cones had tricked her again. Japanese food had a knack for looking like a small portion but magically filling you up until you were satisfied, it was probably all the rice. Yeah, that had to be it.

Luckily for the catgirl, her fast metabolism would probably kick-in in the span of 10 minutes and leave her hungry again. Sometimes it was like her existential void also existed in her stomach and no food would be enough to sate that as well, oh well. Life as a black hole, she guessed?

As the girl let out a yawn, which was definitely a call for a nap and result of eating too much, Nessy scrolled through her phone notifications. There were a lot of social media updates she didn't care much about, a text from the bank stating that last quest's cookie rewards were avaliable on her account now and oh! What's that?

"We don't even get that much of a downtime huh?"

"Hey guys, apparently there's already a new quest to do... Should we check this one too?"
, she asked nonchalantly. 'Yes' or 'No' she didn't care, she just needed something, anything to shoo away the tiredness that was catching up to her right now. If she gave in to a nap she'd definitely miss a lot of the day...
