"Sitting still? Maybe not now, still too young, but one day I'd like to sit still, need to scope a place out to do that in" catching the older Tabaxi's gaze, he followed it and notice the half-giant as well.

Seeing the target before him, Snow kept up with Murk, swiftly cutting a path through the street and observing the trio that they came before "These people don't seem to be very magical, although the large person certainly seems interesting, do they speak common?"

"Wait actually, you must speak common, Murk wouldn't have spoken to you if you couldn't."

Kaesalor, seeing his lost friend and his lost friend's new friend, seems to cheer up. However, somehow he got an idea quite uncharacteristic of him. <"Do you understand what is he saying? Can you translate for me?"> He asks in elven, looking towards his companions.

Garret gave his feline friend a giant grin, catching onto his plan immediately. <"What's this now? Terribly sorry old bean, I've not spoken common i a terribly long time. As I am obviously an elf, regardless of my shorter stature.">
He had been in his head a bit lately, and a good joke always cheered him up.

"Very funny," Murk says with a scowl, and turns to Snow. "They may not look like much ... but they're a pretty capable group." He points to each one, starting with the firbolg. "This is, uh, Caseload, and the half-elves are Ballast, Grabbit and Mac." In his head he congratulates himself for remembering their names.

"I see, you're right, they don't look like much, then again, I wouldn't expect a group of 4 to look like much." he points to the Firbolg "He, however, he does look like much, quite a bit really"

The younger tabaxi puts a hand out to each of the other four going down the line "It's nice to meet you all, those must be names from around here, I've never heard anything like them"

Barost scratched his head at the mention of clerics, "Hopefully we don't end up offendin' them somehow." Turning at the faintly familiar voice of Murk, the tired sailor gave the tabaxi a smile, before rolling his eyes at Kaesalor and Garret.

"Thankfully not yet," he replied, "and t'answer the younger one, I've got a bit more than jus' common to my skillset." Chuckling he continued, "I doubt you've heard name like those before ... considering they aren't ours. I'm Barost Las, typically sailor fer hire, but lately seems more mercenary ..." he tapped the job posting. Creating some sparks around his hand he added, "Also resident lightning rod, mostly on purpose."

Kaesalor didn't know what to expect with a stupid joke like that. At his age, a person should know better.

"Thankfully, I speak the common tongue. And thankfully, my name is not Caseload. I'm called Kaesalor. Sorry for the stupid joke." He says in a reserved tone, still cringing at himself for what has he done.

Raising an eyebrow at the whole scene, she smiles. “It’s a pleasure to see you again, Murk. We were just about to get some information. Care to join us?” Waving to the other Tabaxi, she bows slightly. “The name is Melli’s Hebenus Domina III Sanguis. But you may call me Mel.”

"I harbor no hard feelings for the joke Kaesalor, I often made such jokes with friends when I was younger, it was not stupid, just shows you have a fun side" the tabaxi winked at the large fellow and turned to Mel, bowing in return "Wow, that is quite a name, I guess I should also fully introduce myself? I am Snow of the Mountain. I've read about people bowing as a greeting but never have I seen it in person, where exactly are you from?"

“Bowing in greeting is a formal way of doing things. Usually done to those of higher power, or those you respect.” Tossing her hair to the side, she smiles gently. “I’m from the capital, Isunium. From one of the noble houses.”

The instructions given by the guard were easy enough to follow while conversing with the two tabaxi. Soon enough, after moving northward, away from the Military Ward's main thoroughfare, you reach a multiple-stories tall building, built out of white granite that showed no sign of weather despite how old it must be. Across the big open dark wooden doors, the scorched symbol of a gauntlet marks this as the temple to The Loyal Fury - Torm.

Crossing the open doors, you see many armored individuals moving around the main place of worship, dodging the lines of benches that face the walls away from the main aisle, some of them wearing black or blue robes beneath their armor. The walls are decorated with images of lions and knights, carved out of the smooth stone. Across the way, you see a big metallic statue of the same gauntlet that emblazes the main doors.

Seeing such a huge group walk into the temple, one of the blue-robed figures walk up to greet you all. And, now, a tall, mostly-human man stands before you, sporting a polished scale mail over his robes, while his skin as gray as the stone floor and the tusk that grows out of the right side of his mouth betrayed his Orcish descent. The stern-faced soldier nods and says in an inquisitive tone, "visitors are a rare sight in this temple... But, I see the weapons you carry and this House is open for all of those that fight for the right cause. What do you seek inside the House of Righteousness?"

Murk follows along blindly, not watching where they're leading him. Fight for the right cause?

"What have ya been getting up to the last couple days anyway? Working on something?" He tries to play it cool, but his tail's swishing makes his curiosity evident.

“We were hoping to get some info on the orcs. The ones terrorizing the town. Things like the location, notes from scouts, info from survivors if there is any.” Keeping her voice level, she smiles sweetly at the half-orc. Making sure to stand in front of the others, she keeps a parade rest position. “We were told we could get that here. Or at least you would be able to lead us in the right direction.”

The half-orc stares at Mellis, almost as if inspecting every little detail, from her posture to the quality of the weapons she carried. "Yes, we could do that. Or, more precisely, I could, seeing that I am the one who posted up the notice. One of our followers was escorting a merchant when he first witnessed these brutes attacking those who travelled by the roads. He came back to this temple and notified us of this terrible attack on this city's denizens. I put the notice up the same day and that first soldier led the group of mercenaries back through the hills." Dhakon's hand clutched the pommel of his sheathed blade, his voice raised slightly with the surge of emotions. "None of them returned. Then, another group attempted the same thing. That time, one of them got back, mostly unconscious. Despite our healers' best effort, he did not make it." The Overseer falls silently for a moment, staring at the engravings on the walls. "Between the two witnesses that managed to get back here alive, we could ascertain the tribes' emblem, a tribe that we have no records of. Also, that these warriors are brutal, fierce, and, above everything else, dangerous. If you actually follow that map up to the circled area, I hope you have the gods on your side."

As the overseer speaks, Kaesalor's fists begin to tighten, his knuckles are practically going white as he clenches down. "If I die ridding the world of their menace, it will be a good death. If they die are the ones to fall, it will be even better." He says, taking a deep breath to compose himself. "Some are too far gone for redemption. Death is the only way." He says in a calmer, but very grim tone.

Thinking a bit more on the matter, he finds it just a bit strange that they are talking with a half-orc about killing orcs. He then comes to the realisation that it's not the orcs he hates, it's the way most of them act. That line can become quite blurry, even though it should be clear as day. This man seems to lead a civilized and honorable life, putting his strength to good use. What is better? To be born good, or to overcome your own evil?

Leaning on her cane, she nods. “If we could see the survivors, we would be grateful. Truly, any information you have would help.” Glancing at the wall as well, she raises an eyebrow. Before turning back. “Like Kae said, we have every want in our body to fix this mess. We are not backing down. Even if we need to fight fire with fire.” Flipping her hair back, she smirks. “And we are willing to burn down with it.” Looking back to the others, she cocks her head to the side. “Of course, I would believe they share similar feelings. But I am no psychic.”

"Orcs huh?" Murk's ears lower. "What's their emblem? I've tracked more than a few war parties in my day." He unslings his bow from his shoulder and checks the string. It would do. "I'm up for another hunt if you'll have me... and ya don't all spontaneously forget how to speak common again."

“I’m not exactly sure what you’re doing, but I would like to come along if it means leaving the city” the tabaxi watched the group intently “I can take care of myself out there’s and I’d love to interact with whatever we come across, it sounds exciting”

The Overseer nods to the firbolg, a grin starting to form on the edge of his mouth. "Indeed, some have unfortunately gone to far. It's good to see you have your own beliefs to hold yourself to this life."

He shifts his gaze back to Mellis, his reaction immediately darkening. "I don't think I was clear enough, there are no living survivors. There were two, but they have since passed. All we could get from them was the rough location and the fact that this tribe has apparently branded themselves with the symbol of a red sun."

Following into the temple, Barost was tempted to do as his mother used to tell him and stick his hands in his pockets. He was still jittery from the nightmare, and his hands kept sparking -- which would not end well surrounded by so much metal. Hearing the others offer their lives so casually made the sorcerer fidget -- he was willing to help, but he wasn't exactly keen to die for this particular cause.

He nodded towards Snow, "Glad to hear ya offer, sounds like we're gonna need all th' help we can get." Turning towards the Overseer he frowned in sympathy, "I know how ya feel to lose crew, specially if they were people ya knew well. Have Orcs been a trouble 'round here for a bit? Jus' wonderin' if maybe a buncha' different groups have banded together. Maybe if th' leader gets taken out, they might crumple, yanno?"

"I didn't know them very well, but losing soldiers is never a pretty thing" the overseer responds to Barost. "We have all sorts of creatures surrounding our city, gnolls, orcs, ogres... These orcs have been way more aggressive than the rest lately, I'm not sure if it's only this specific group or not. But, you do have a point., maybe killing their leader might stop all of this. Just don't do anything reckless while out there. If this small group of kidnappers is big enough trouble, taking out the leader of this tribe will be many times harder. One thing at a time."

Listening to the overseer, the tired Sorcerer continued to think, "Eh ... I agree, it'd be better t'work at one thing atta time, but honestly, I already know rarely do things tend ta' work out that way." Messing with his necklace he added, "Not really from 'round here, an' we were given a fairly crude map towards where th' camp is 'spose to be. Any warnings about the local area? Critters to avoid, plants t'not step on?"

"There's nothing particularly dangerous on the way, but any place out there can be dangerous enough. I would recommend to keep yourselves to the road, at least while you can. There's no point in wandering around in tall grass for no reason." Overseer Dahkon kept staring at the nervous sorcerer with a stern look, inspecting the half-elf with his trained soldier's eyes. "There are no exotic plants this far north, or at least none I have heard of. The orcish activity mostly minimized the other tribes around Bankshire. There is still plenty of creatures that are not afraid of the orcs, or that can hide from them and prey on smaller groups. The real danger, however, lies closer to the Lake of Felling, so perhaps it would be better to avoid going too close to it." He looks over his shoulder to the back of the temple. "Anything else you need? I have other responsibilities to attend."

Garret has spent their time in the temple of sorts, perusing the walls taking everything in. This was a hall of heroes after all, and better still, one he had yet to learn about. That would have to wait however, such things were secondary to the problem at present... The Bard in the song and sorrow...

Garret couldn't let it go, he loved the search for knowledge, but this vile halfling had become his nemesis...
