Dazed, confused, but chugging on.
Any semblance of peace in the galaxy had faded into a tale told by wives, as they struggled to keep their kids calm in the midst of the falling Yutoan bombs. Mother Earth had pissed off the wrong aliens, and it was now forced to take a pack of ragtag allies into the battlefield. But this story does not focus on the allies. Instead, we look at the primary villain: the Intergalactic Defense Squadron.
Such a vile organization does not deserve such a noble-sounding name. They would do anything to topple Earth, and the ragtag planets it was so poorly protecting.
This included the abduction of children.
If your planet was allies with Earth, at least once a month, you would be diving to shelter as sirens blared all around you. You would be plugging your ears, tears springing to your eyes as you heard the anguished cries of now former parents. You knew that children were being plucked from their homes. There was nothing you could do.
Meanwhile, those children would have their hair dyed the standard silver, and fitted with a jumpsuit. Any memories of play and love would be erased. They would be raised into fearless, but expendable soldiers. The soldiers would have to be flawlessly in line, or face brutal punishment from their commanders.
The IDS, however, could not keep control over every single child. Sometimes, they would become defiant, brave, and crafty enough to leave the military behind. What would happen beyond that point was a mystery that the remaining soldiers would be itching to solve.
That may be what your soldier does in this RP. Or maybe they will keep themselves under their commander's thumb. Mayhaps they will even die on the battlefield...or so they'll make their superiors think. Anything can happen.
