"Sports naturally become violent... In the olden days, we had football and basketball. Now, we have entirely different... tastes. In the year 3017, starships are common. Almost everyone owns a civilian ship. However, that is not the point of this tale... Starship gladiator matches exist. And instead of single ships, they are... entire fleets... Each of these fleets are unique in their own right. All are based on music, namely three components. Treble-class, the fast nimble zealots of the fleet, drawing enemy fire, and delivering dagger strikes at opportunity. Alto-class, the mid-size core of the fleet, responsible for the main missions of the battle, combining both speed and firepower. And finally... Bass-class, the hulking behemoths of all ships. Slow, but powerful, these are the backbone for the rest of the fleet. Without Bass-class ships, all is lost. Each year, billions come to watch the gladiator fights... Even more come to participate. Few manage to succeed... 8 will eventually make it to the finals. These will be the elite of the entire universe, masters in their own craft... Will you take the challenge? For glory, and honor!!!" -- Excerpt from propaganda pamphlet.

This will be a long rp, with each member as one of the finalists. Your characters will have been battling for years, building up to this point. By now, they'll either be EXTREMELY lucky, or brilliant tacticians. Remember, the battles aren't the only thing in this rp. Set in the distant future, there will be MANY places to explore, and many fights to win! I am making it sort of open ended to allow for free roleplay. If anyone is interested in the rp... Let me know!

Sample character sheet:
Name: Hunter Dering
Age: 38
Gender: Male
Appearance:
29fe5ba5ed46d898fa7b22f9359aa803.gif

Inspiring (Or depressing) quote: "It's a shame... It's sad to see your beautiful toys broken down. But hey, at least I'm still around!" -- Hunter on destroying a rather large Bass-class ship.
Likes:
+ Engineering
+ + Communicating (AKA Spouting insults.)
+ Fancy Garments (He got kicked out of the interstellar Navy! He needs to feel good!)

Dislikes:
- Tactics (Again, a reason he got kicked out.)
- - Rejection
- Destruction (He doesn't care of the people... He hates seeing these ships destroyed. Especially his own.)

Song Chosen:

Fleet Build (Note I'll be building your fleet based on the song you choose. I'll try to represent it in the best way possible):
Summary: Due to the erratic nature of the chosen song, these ships are all meant to do high damage first strikes, then run away. Even the Bass-Class ship is considerably fast for it's size. The main issue with this fleet is it's tactical setting: It can only commit to guerrilla tactics, and has to keep on moving. Due to the limited arena size, this can only give the fleet at most, two hours. Otherwise... It's toast!

Treble-class ships:

"Newt" Treble Fighter

A rather strange ship for a strange treble in the song. Practically four engines on guns, this ship is quick, and deadly up to
200 meters. Due to the fast paced song, these ships are naturally quick to react, but do not judge their surroundings. Many crash on their way to their destinations.

Alto-class ships

"Viper" Alto Destroyer

Absurdly, this song has a weak Alto-clef, and therefore, weak and sparse Alto ships. These ships are small for destroyers, even having trouble with a single Treble-class ship. Armed with only a front cannon, these are generally used as a support role. The only decent thing about them, are the oversized engines, allowing it to respond with ease.

Bass-class ships:

"Dragon" Bass Carrier

A ship small for a Bass class, the true power relies on two things: The Nymphos docking bays, and it's quick firing guns. On each side are two oversized hangars, carrying swarms of these deadly fighters. In the back, is the signature engine, which allows this ship to easily escape other Bass-class ships. It is needed, as it's cannons are only meant to strike against Alto and Treble class ships.
