PoppySeed

Almost a Flower
Deep in the woods, there is a lab.

And in this lab, there are people.

There are people who never wanted to be there.

Who are tested for their supernatural abilities.

Who are abused for collective scientifical knowledge.

This is their story.

--this is a roleplay between PoppySeed and MaidenOfStars, you're welcome to read, but do not post!--

Eliosi is kind, shy and smart. She doesn't often talk but can be blunt. She has no experience in romance and just want to get home and start college to be a Artist

A man walks in with the kit of shots and smirks. He begins to get the shots ready, his back turned to them.

Eliosi clenches her eyes shuts and focuses on shifting. There was three others in the room she needed to get out as well. She focuses still and after a minute shifts into a mouse. Her vision was blurry as she weakly walks out of the cage and into another's cage. She curls up before passing out, having used all the energy possible.

"Every Revolution Begins with a Spark"

............................................
Aleks' eyesight was bleary. His head throbbed. He felt so drained, as if he'd thrown a thousand fireballs into solid concrete. Maybe he did. He couldn't remember. His mouth was dry, lips cracked. He heard footsteps, felt the presence in the room, but his hearing was coming from a different realm; as if he was sitting in a fishbowl. That was a bad analogy, he scolded himself silently, wearily. He was a fish in a barrel. The screech of metal hinges ached in his bones.
"Get up," he heard outside of the throbbing in his ears. "Get. Up!" The agony of a foot spread through his ribcage. He sputtered, coughing out in surprise. God dammit. He kicked me. He clutched his stomach and rolled into a ball.
"Careful," another voice warned. "He burned me earlier," the man whined.
A cackle. A laugh. Merciless. "Doesn't look like he'll be burning anyone today."
Aleks wanted to. He reached inside himself for the heat, the rage. But he came up woefully empty handed. He could do nothing but let them kick him over and over, and the slight pinch as a 23 gauge needle pierced his skin, the warm flow of liquid in his muscle, paralyzing his shuddering. He grasped at anything as the light faded in his eyes, muscles getting heavier til he could no longer clutch his knees to his chest or shield his head from other blows. He stared his eyes out at his attackers, but saw nothing left; his vision had faded to black.
