"Roots aem ya aony, niza oth bind zes opponents!" The undead demonic necromancer summoned vines from the ground to bind the feet of Izuru's men. Kicking off the ground and bringing his sword down on the monster, Izuru cleaves it in half. The remains then dissolve into smoke and dust. The now freed soldiers followed Izuru through the exit to the tunnel they had been using. The Necrodragon Grigori had broken free of his seal and summoned an army of the dead to try and conquer Sumaru. This happened right after the inauguration of the new Knights of Sumaru. Izuru had to trust a group of knights he hadn't thoroughly tested enough with a regiment each. Izuru himself was leading the Twelfth Legion of the Imperial Army. It was assembled from what many considered the worst of the worst. The group behind him was filled with cowards, delinquents, arrogant scions and snarky intellectuals.

"Right everyone... remember the plan. We must destroy the massive mana crystal that Grigori is using to channel his power over the dead. This one action will decide the fate of our land. Remember to be ready" Izuru held his sword out and stared daggers at all of them. Retreating when you were at a disadvantage was fine. Destructive cowardice would lead to the death of those around you. That would earn a beheading by Emperor Izuru himself. Hopefully the Legions of Rinzler, Pentario and Stigma would soon arrive at their designated positions around the Fortress of Grigori. They would assault the fortress from all four entrance points. Rinzler would take the North Entry, Pentario the West Entry, Stigma the East Entry and Izuru himself would lead the charge on the South Entry. As he was Emperor, he had to take the most dangerous pathway to the Necrodragon. It helped him get his rocks off plus it was good training for these recruits. Just as he thought that, they arrived in front of the Fortress.

"Hey Necro-Face! Get your ass out here! Your undead have been causing us nothing but problems!" Izuru made sure to be as loud and obnoxious as possible. So he insulted the dragon in all the languages he knew with all the insults he knew. Soon enough, there was a noticeable rumbling as the roar that came from inside shook the ground they stood on. Rushing out of the entrance to the Fortress of Grigori were dozens upon dozens of undead minions. Readying his sword, Izuru directed his soldiers at the oncoming enemy "CHAAAAAARGE!!!". These undead soldiers were tougher than the last group. They managed to push Izuru's group back quite a few times. However right now they were just acting as a distraction, Grigori needed to focus on this group. Hopefully the other three groups were okay, along with the other Legions which were spreading Grigori's attention so he wouldn't find out about their plan.

Who would've thought that Trinity Tercet Thricecoined would become part of a new order of heroes, AND get assigned the third number? Well her family did as they figured it was destiny. It was a good thing she was picked or else that training would've just been relegated into the labyrinthine tunnels of West Sumaru! Not that it'd be a bad thing or anything, it's just that Trinity always had this suspicion that she was meant to have a cooler title than just 'tunnel pillager'.

The ceremony to knight her as a knight was a tad shorter than she expected it to be. Thricecoined hadn't had much time to get in a whole lot of words in edgewise; but despite that she was able to talk about a few things of herself, mostly sharing a few stories about the treacherous world that was the mines and tunnels of Western Sumaru and things she had done in them.

But hopefully she'd find some more time to talk to the others!

Outside of Mt. Snowden, a harsh wind was blowing as Knight Thricecoined was riding upon her sniffling Alpaca steed. Trudging through the snowbanks she began swinging her sword at the hordes of zombies which infested the area, making sure to take great care that the soldiers she had didn't get too roughed up, or in less euphemistic terms, killed. Sure they were mostly infantry men who were under-dressed for this expedition, but they had came from mining territories and among them were sappers. Plus generally it was bad to get your people killed.

Fortunately for now these zombies only progressed at a dreadfully slow march and were easily outmaneuvered by a speedy alpaca and frontward stabbing of a spear.

"Okay so like I haven't made a proper introduction, probably..."
chirped Trinity Tercet Thricecoined with a smile on her face, "...Bu-EWWW!" She puffed her cheeks out with disgust as she sliced off a head of a zombie, that got a bit too close than she expected. Trinity swore she could smell the breath on it even over the smell of rot. As for the head, it landed into the snow and started rolling down, getting quite a bit of distance and becoming a fairly large snowball.

"But hi! Lady Trinity Tercet Thricecoined, Knight of Three at your service! Killing a bunch of zombies shouldn't be any worse than killing rodents of unusual sizes!"

At the call to "CHAAAAAARGE!!!", what forces of Fendal had accompanied their knight instead took up their positions and braced against a rising undead tide, seeking to prevent the creatures from flooding the entrance tunnels that led to the newly christened Emperor's rearguard. Should the enemy manage to corral His Highness within the tunnels there would be no escape from the subsequent pincer between two enemy formations, one of which had the advantage of fighting within its turf. The usurping prince's plan seemed to hinge entirely on winning a battle he would not even see, and the Men of the West labored and died to make this a reality while wondering if their leader would find success.

Michael Darnach MacRory had not taken up position, nor had he analyzed the hastily drawn up battle plans with a critical eye. At the moment the most prestigious Knight of Two instead awoke from a drunken stupor to find himself lying on the hard stone floor strapped to a dead horse. Under said dead horse, to be precise. He had no idea where he was, what was going on or what had even happened to get him here. In fact, it took him a fair amount of time to realize the position he was in and even longer to notice that a number of arrows had attempted to lodge themselves in his body as he lay there, getting his bearings and quietly losing his patience at the shrill noise around him.

Mickey MacRory as he was called had insisted on partying. He had partied when he was officially given the title of Knight of Two, he had partied on the way to the capital, he had partied in the capital during the celebration and had kept up as they departed to meet this challenge. No sense in not enjoying what might be your last day, after all. By the time they finally arranged the forces he was at last unresponsive, but to keep morale up he had been strapped to a borrowed mount and kept upright to inspire the soldiers. Fendal's captain, a capable veteran who had objected to his men being assigned to an unproven brute they had never even seen before, led the regiment instead with Mickey's blessing.

But now he was up and his patience was well at an end, this was not the way to start the morning. Afternoon. Evening, whatever. "OY FOOKIN SHUT IT!" came the explosive, booming command, accompanied by the sound of the ropes and straps snapping and breaking under the impossible tension of the man's muscles. The cry made many a soldier stop and stare, and the undead enemy that had previously assumed the massive foe dead began to approach with menace in mind. "GIT TH'FOOK OFF, WOT IN TH'GODS' NAME IS HAPPENIN!", came the second cry and a murmur of astonishment spread across the troops as the warhorse's dead body was lifted high and clean overhead no apparent effort.

The murmur exploded into a roar of triumph to match Mickey's own as the beast's body was sent hurtling across the air, launched with superhuman force at an advancing wall of skeletons that burst into a mix of bone and foreign guts and flesh and ichor. Rallying his men, Mickey charged to his own warcry: "THAS WOT'CHU GET! RESPECT THE CHAMP!".

"This has been quite a quick change in pace" Pent thought to himself, a couple of weeks ago he was pouring drinks for drunkards, now he has returned to his roots.

When old Pentario had recieved word that he would be taking the spot for Knight of 5 he was delighted but not surprised. He had a lot of experience and he fit the bill perfectly. While he was happy to finally serve again, he was taken aback by the youth of his majesty. It didn't matter much as Pent had realized the power the emperor had was immense.

His objective was to secure the west entrance. Simple enough. He had realized that the undead were putting up a much greater resistance now. Now that he was in sight of the entrance the skirmishes were getting rockier. No longer could he and his Legion handle them with no resistance. Now he saw before him creatures that looked much stronger.

"Assume a block formation!" Pent yelled to the legion.

The group hastily made a sloppy block around him. With them doing this he casted a barrier spell on those in the front. Hopefully this would be enough to prevent any unnecessary casualties.

"Great, now advance!"

At first it was easy for Kai to walk through the crowds of the hordes but as soon as it got closer to the main location he unsheathed his swords guiding the “weaker” men to guidance. Kai didn’t really enjoy that sight infront of him and his men. Slashing at the necks of the undead he pushed forward on. Something about this getting worse as they got closure gave him a bad feeling, but no matter the combined strength of each knight can practically overkill and roadblock that gets in their way.

Kai watched as some of the men got scared as they got closer to the destination. “It’s alright. We will guide you all to safety of your families. The fear in your heart will try to make you want to run and hide from the challenge ahead, but it’s your determination that keeps you pushing. A man isn’t born from a boy after he had accepted himself in being one. No a man is born when the boy faces his fears and challenges face on!!” Kai said as most of the men took his words as guidance and pushed on.

The explosions all around can be heard as this was the real deal. While Kai was striking the heads of zombies he noticed a bird had flew over the field off into a distance. It had rare colorway of feathers. Kai thought to himself why that bird was there. No matter he had other issues to attend to. The closure they got the more he felt his body ache from his demon blood reacting to the negative energy in the energy. It was making it harder for Kai to focus as he taken in deep breathes. "Calm down." He said to himself looking up to see the undead face to face with him, he jumped back into another one and instantly turned cutting it's head off to turn around to the one he saw before and cut it into small pieces.

Kuto walked with his hood covering his face after some time letting his hawk go off to check any far distance if anyone were coming their direction. His heart was set on their next objective then they can go home easy and quick. Kuto looked at the Kitsune who traveled by his side at all times. He didn't like that she was always so close to him nor did he like how she always observed him when he fights, but he got accustomed to her. He stopped walking suddenly as he heard something, it was a wolf that jumped out the bushes coming for Yuki which instantly set a trigger for Kuto as the head of the wolf was bashed in the floor by Kuto's foot. His foot was engulfed in flames as it burned the poor creature who was only hungry. "Keep your eyes open Yuki." He said calmly to the Kitsune Empress. Besides the fact she annoys him she keeps a special place in his heart since she is the only one in this world who shows positive emotions towards him. Of course he doesn't accept it himself because of how cold he generally is.

The Battle had already begun. The cries of war echoed over the snow covered mountain as Stigma and her men neared their rally point. The solemn woman marched at the head of the group, the rest loosely spread in an arrowhead formation, looking nervously to their silent leader. Most of their quarry were easily dispatched by even the sorriest members of her team. With Stigma in the lead there wasn't much need for worry, as with hardly a pause she'd incinerate any undead that moved within arms reach. When they reached the foot of the fortress, however; that became a different story.

Already the hordes of undead swarmed the South where the young emperor was making his way to the enemy. In front of Stigma, a fresh wave of enemies more powerful then their previous foes charged her unseasoned recruits. The knight raised a mail gauntlet to halt her company, and silently motioned for them to ready their weapons. As they prepared for the onslaught ahead, Stigma removed her tattered old cloak and unsheathed a massive iron greatsword from her back. Steam rose from the cold and icy stone around her, and the soldiers closer to the woman could feel the unfettered heat pulsing from her body. Raising the sword, she spoke for the first time since they left the capital.

"Ready shields!" Her first command boomed over the soldiers, actually startling a few because of it's power. Their shields loosely locked into place on the edges of the arrowhead, and her next command rang out. "Swords! Spears!" Polearms and blades were outstretched and ready for their first taste of blood. As the army of dead was nearly upon them, Stigma outstretched a hand and shouted for everyone to hear. "Let our enemies feel the flames of judgement! To the crystal! Charge!" A chorus of battlecries echoed behind her as the men rushed forward to clash with the undead monstrosities. From their leaders hand burst a ball of light that stretched into a gout of flame 20 meters long. She let loose a ferocious cry as she charged through the charred and ashen remains of the dead, and her men wedged into the gap she made in the enemy ranks.

"Break them! Force your way to the gates!" Her voice bellowed over the cries of agony and ringing of steel. The greatsword in her her hands cleaved through rotten flesh and rusted metal, rending whatever it could not cut into a broken mess flung aside by the strength in her swings. They made it deep into enemy lines before their progress began to halt. These undead were far more formidable then what was previously in their way. "Space out! Thin out this horde! Fight for every inch!" Her hand reached back toward the rear, where the enemy was beginning to enclose them, and snarled as she clenched her fist. A wall of flame erupted between their closing ranks and roared several feet into the air, preventing them from completely encircling her soldiers. Beads of sweat dripped down her forehead, hissing as they turned to steam on her burning skin. Stigma's attention returned to the frontline and she began hacking at the enemy with determination. Her eyes fixated upon the fortress they inched ever closer toward...

Yuki flattened her ears, a little embarrassed that her guard had been down, especially right in front of Kuto. As much as she tried to hide it, she still had a lot to learn if she was going to have the strength to lead her people. "Sorry Kuto, I didn't expect her to attack... normally the beasts of the wilds are peaceful to kitsune. Thank you..." Yuki knelt beside the fallen wolf and pressed her hand against its side. Through the beast's hide she could feel each individual rib between her fingers. "It was starved..." she mumbled, withdrawing her hand and bringing it close to her chest as if she too had been hurting. "...this land has been tortured, exploited by the civilized. Even the ferocious wolf cannot find a meal." A sad look passed over her face as she stood up to gaze at the trees surrounding the path. It was obvious that she was thinking about her home.

Black markings skittered to life along her skin and 9 tails as she looked back down onto the wolf's charred corpse, her catlike eyes narrowed in focus. In one fluid stroke, Yuki's tails made an intricate pattern in the air, forming a floating symbol. It remained in the air for a moment before suddenly vanishing in a flash of green light. Flowers began to bloom all over the wolf's remains, degrading it more and more as they grew until nothing remained but bright petals.

After it was done the kitsune turned back to Kuto, the softness that had been in her eyes now hardened by anger. "Come on, let's get to that town. It is time they became the hunted." She said before placing a mask over her face. It was fox-like in appearance with red markings traced across its black surface like blood. An enormous crack ran down its side, starting below the left eye and trailing all the way down its cheek like a tear. It had been her mother's, but few people knew that.

She looked up at Kuto, her tails twisting in anticipation, "What's the plan?"

With the inauguration of the new Knights of Sumaru having just been completed Septimus was elated that he was chosen to take up the role of the Knight of 7. Surely this would be the start of his oppurtunity to prove to himself that the destined greatness he had been prepared to achieve from his youth was something he could really accomplish.

To his surprise it would seem that his opportunity would come up far quicker than he would have ever imagined as not long after the ceremony it was explained to him and the other knights that a once sealed away evil force had broken free of its restraints and was amassing a massive army of undead to take over the land. Due to the scale of the threat, all eleven knights and the emperor himself were mobilized immediately in order to stop the undead before things spiraled too far out of control. Because of how quick a plan had to be thrown together the orders Septimus was to follow were pretty simple. He and his regiment were to slay all the undead that they encountered and cause as much mayhem as possible for the enemy.

As he trekked through the snow, occasionally using his ability to breath flames to keep warm and wishing he had shoes Septimus looked back at the soldiers he was put in charge of. It was a regiment of various kinds of beast folk, some well suited for the cold temperature common near Mt. Snowden while others much like Septimus preferred not to be in the cold if they could help it. Septimus never having led such a large group of individuals was quite a bit nervous as he did not want to disappoint neither his fellow knights and most certainly not the emperor by underperforming in his leadership. Despite his slight nervousness, Septimus made sure to take the lead in front of the regiment in order to inspire his men in the coming battle as they approached the hordes of undead that shambled forward before them.

“Alright everyone! Remember what we are here to do! Slay the undead, don’t let even a single one survive! That will be the key to victory!” he shouted to be sure everyone heard his voice before drawing his sword. “Time to be a hero” he said to himself before charging forward with his bright red cape flapping behind him as his regiment followed his lead. Luckily enough the zombies that had stood before them were slow and the strength and agility of the beastfolk made it easy to hack and slash through the hordes of the undead. Though the relative ease of slicing through the zombies did not mean Septimus and his men could relax as the undead had the numbers advantage which would eventually take a toll on their endurance.

Always on edge and wary of her surroundings, the onslaught of the undead didn't surprise Cypher Rinzler at the Inauguration. It didn't matter if she was getting a job done, protecting the Prince (now Emperor), or becoming the Knight of 0. Once the inauguration was over, she took to the side of the Emperor, knowing a battle was about to begin. After the new Knights of Sumaru were able to convene for a hasty plan of action, she suggested to the Emperor to nip the issue in the bud. Go for the source of the undead. And who would be one to summon dead soldiers to his command? Grigori of course. That stupid son of a dragon mum decided to rear his ugly head again.

Instructed by His Majesty to lead the force from the North entrance, Cypher took the warriors and fighters to take on the undead. Knowing the North had some trees and tall grasslands Cypher expected nothing less than those bright green foliage to soon turn blood red. She made sure that they all knew the plan. "Push forward, keep killing, don't die." Most of the soldiers she was assigned were footmen, most were able with sword, shield and any others they chose to use. They were to enter without Grigori's knowledge; their goal was to rendezvous at the center of the the fortress with the other Knights to destroy the source of Grigori's power.

One scout she'd sent out found a large swamp lake. Leading many of the undead towards the large body of water, she stood at the edge of the water, her boots sinking only slightly in the mud. Cypher's arms rose high above her head; the water followed suit as a large wave climbed up to 30 meters. Quickly bringing down her arms in front of her body, the swamp water, too, came crashing down knocking out and drowning the undead. Once the water had receded, her warriors came running in killing off those that had not been drowned. In the midst of battle, she fought at the sides of the others. "Make sure to keep them from escaping to the rest of Sumaru. Our duty is to protect the citizens." she barked while slicing into two of the undeads' necks. Continuously using the water to assist her men and women, she guided the water to freeze to the zombies feet, effectively halting them in their march to the rest of the country. The legion battered and slashed at the undead fairly easily. As the uproar died down, and her Legion were able to lower their weapons, Cypher looked around to their surroundings. The grass had only smatterings of deep red, almost black, blood. The swamp water she'd been utilizing had turned an even darker shade of murkiness, and she only saw a few scratches on her battalion's armor.

They moved inside of the entrance quietly, pushing forward to the center of the stronghold. However, from deeper inside the fortress came an almost deafening roar. She smirked, "Ah, His Highness must've prodded a bit more at the necrodragon. We're not done yet! Be ready for the next attack!" Her league of soldiers and fighters were able to take just one breath before out from inside of the fortress and from the ground came more of the zombies; this time, they looked stronger. Pressing forward with her battalion, Rinzler thought to herself as she whipped water out and around her body to battle this next wave, This will be interesting.

Hildebrand had been marching for days and not once did he stop to rest, his unnatural endurance never wavered and even without it, his sacred mission would never allow him to. "Soon. Soon another town will burn. People will flee and word will spread." He found himself muttering under his breath more and more, for a brief moment he wondered if the solitude or the violence was getting to him but pushed the thought to the back of his mind. It was a distraction from what was really important, his mission. His mission was always on his mind.

"One day they will understand. They will see what I have been showing them all this time, and then..." He was doing it again. He could feel the bile rise in his throat over the disgust he felt. A weak mind meant a weak man and he could not allow himself to be weak, not if he wanted his mission to be fulfilled. Once again he focused his thoughts on what was important and his mind cleared. He was lucky to do so when he did or else he might have missed the voices in the distance. The crimson knight stopped and listened to the faint conversation.

Two people, a man and a woman. Lovers? No, the tones of their voices say otherwise. A bodyguard escorting someone important perhaps, but only one guardian? The woman seemed calm so it seemed unlikely they were escaping from an ambush or betrayal. The knight resumed his pace but diverted his course towards the strange travelers. "They are heading to the same town I was. Interesting." He once again muttered to himself but didn't seem to notice, he was too caught up in getting them within sight.

The rough block of soldiers surrounding Pentario moved toward the greater undead, there were about 4 of zombies in armor that appeared to be about 7 feet tall. A normal solider of most of Pent's unit would likely not be able to take one on in a fair one on one. But that didn't matter.

"Surround them, NOW!" Pent's brash voice startled the undead and it seemed to have risen their spirit, in a metaphorical sense. While the other knights might see this move as overly cautious, after all of his years, he knew to never underestimate the enemy, doing so costs lives, an asset that is of grave importance. While these rookie lives may be meaningless and pointless to some, it is best to keep the help alive, as a king whose subordinates would treat a solider as trash may soon not have an army, the sheer power of a couple cannot on its own topple the strength of unified masses.

This has yet to have been proven as a problem. What the rookies lacked in strength and power they more than made up for in morale and discipline, Pent had never met a group so young be as eager to topple a problem as these young ones were. They followed orders like chess pieces, perfect disciples to train.

The young group surrounded the beings about 30 meters from the gate.

Time to show these rookies what they can become with years of training. Pent thought to himself. With these thoughts he stood in front of the circle

"Stand down, let me show you all what a true solider can do."

He provoked the nearest one, who lunged forward. Pent countered by bashing him with his shield. The being fell down and Pent jumped on him with his shield underfoot. Crushing the armor and squeezing the zombie like a lemon. The being gave resistance then vanished to dust. Pent then looked up in time to see two of the others rushing him. He jumped up a foot away from his sheild then kicked it up in time to bash the closer one. The thing got staggered for a few seconds. Then it continued it's march forward towards him, side by side with the other one.

Pentario reached for his hilted sword, then stopped. Showing strength without a sword is the way to go. With this thought he grabbed sheild, and after two consecutive blows to the beings faces they disintegrated to dust.

Pent sighed, relieved, it was over. This is why you remember to count though...

The final remaining one launched a suprise attack on one of the new recruits, putting a deep gash in his thigh. He cried out in pain. This activated Pent's protective instinct and he immediately unsheathed his sword, sprint to the two, and cut the being's head off.

"My apologies, why don't you head back and tell the others we have secured out sector, and get some treatment, wouldn't want you bleeding out at your firsr battle now, would we?"

"You two!"

He pointed at 2 able bodied men.

"Take him back, we will take care of the gate"

Kuto watched her make a small barriel for the wolf in a way as it was covered in pretty flowers. He stood and let her have her moment. Kuto didn’t really care for her soft side for animals as she never let it get in the way of their missions. He allowed her to do this outside of the view of the public only. She was always like this he thought. “You finally finished up. I figured that was the most for it. Her I mean. The hunger probably kicked it’s primal instincts to high.”

Kuto listened to Yuki’s voice shift to a more darker tone. “They took most of the land after fighting off many mystical creatures. I heard they barely could live in this climit. The snow fell by them as it coated the grass in white. The only color in the forest was the flowers Yuki created. “You forgot the ideal plan already?” Kuto scratched the top of his hood and sighed. “You’re going to create us a scout with your drawing so preferably a squirrel. Once we get vision of the surrounding of the town such as the soldiers and the whereabouts I’m going to use my “Wild Fire” to cage the town so that no one cam come in or out of our playing field.
You will then create whatever creatures of your liking to stop anybody trying to escape. While I take on the church and force the old priest to give me the map to find the Mask of Far Vision. It will give us more resistance to the coldness and give us telescopic vision in its sculpted left eye. It can come in handy for finding other artifacts to complete our goal in destruction of this silly "Kingdom", so sad everyone looks up to it." Kuto told the Kitsune, after looking at her from finishing his speech he turned his back to her. "After another mile headed that way you will create our scout and hopefully everything goes swell. Now let's get moving."

Before moving he felt a presence. He kneeled down to Yuki's height so he can reach her ear. "Keep your guard up someone's following us prepare to use your blood to cut them up if needed. For now we act as if we don't know of their presence." He whispered in her ear. He made sure his hood was over his head so his face was covered and fixed the Kitsune's mask on her face as he lead the way to the town that was only a mile away.

Kai continued to fight off the hordes as they were blocking anything trying to get into the surrounding areas. He slid back as the undead continue to push and one of his men was about to be eaten alive so he threw his blade at the zombie's head and flashed stepped kicking it off the man and pulling his blade out its head. "Be careful next time, but no worries We are here the knights to protect you all helping us. Yo! Septimus." He called out to the other knight. "How's it looking over there?" He was trying to get to know the other knights since they never got the chance to talk before this. "Why were those three chosen except me? I want to fight that guy too..." He said to himself disappointed as his battle hungry self was getting ahold of him.

As Trinity used the great speed of her great steed to roam across the field hacking and slashing bits and pieces of zombified creatures, the infantry unit, that she managed to gathered, decided that their best course of action was standing right next to each other armed with their spears and just stabbing forward to keep those bastards away and to try their hardest to not let the sappers die. After all they knew that they needed protection, that was generally all the advice that was given to them by the knight they were supposed to be trusting. Many of these men were at least content that they were still to be paid, and generally by the fact that they were trusted enough to do their jobs.

"Hiiiiiiiyaaaaa!" shouted the Knight of Three as she once again valiantly slashed a zombie, this time going after an extended arm. As it fell off the knight used her shield to slam against another zombie which was trying to assault her noble alpaca steed. She directed her beast to once again rush away from this current scene and ride back towards the other soldiers she had some purview of.

"Now th-" Trinity Tercet Thricecoined began to declare to her soldiers before she just stared into the distance.

There was a warhorse flying through the air. Trinity had learned many things about animals, both domesticate and the horrors that lurked underneath the ground. She knew that a group of alpacas was a herd. Herds would use communal dung piles and not graze around the area. Females lacked the two 'fighting teeth' that male alpacas had. And from experience she knew that they were as sturdy a steed as a horse. In short she knew a good deal about ranching and the intricacies involved in it about animals, which led her to a naturally obvious conclusion.

Horses didn't fly naturally.

As such Trinity made it her duty to head the way from which the horse, well corpse of one anyhow, had left from. Of course more undead critters tried to stop her, but instead of hacking and slashing them, her alpaca had enough speed and was able to jump over the monsters. It didn't take quite long for Trinity to find the source of that action.

After slicing and dicing a few more zombies she made her way to the most noticeable figure of Michael McRory.

"Hey listen! Okay, you're the dude that threw that horse right!? You gotta be, like those other guys look busy. Okay, okay, so listen, you're not busy right? I've been thinking about this situation right, and I got a great idea. And I need people who won't get disposed of, cause I already have those kinda people. Hopefully they won't all go down, buuut..." Trinity shook her head and peered at the man. "OH! Probably should say hi first, Trinity Tercet Thricecoined the Knight of Three in this new organization! But yeah uh, you game?"

Septimus had been cutting through the undead without much trouble as the combination of their low intelligence and inability to maneuver quickly made it so that he was often able to cut down an undead before they changed their attention from the beast folk ahead of them to their attacker who was much shorter than they were. As for his regiment there was a close call earlier in the combat as some of his troops had let their guard down which allowed for some of the undead to get into their ranks and inflict some minor injuries. Once the undead that had managed to get some hits in were slain Septimus was quick to remind his troops that the strength of the undead came not from their individual fighting capability but from there sheer numbers with the goal of striking down an enemy when they are exhausted and that under no circumstances should they let their guard down.

In the distance Sep could hear someone calling his name. A soldier calling for help or trying to notify him of something? Looking around to see who it was Sep quickly realized it was the Knight of 1, Kai Ace Takeshi who's name he recalled from the inauguration. He was simply checking up on Sep to make sure he had everything handled. “Everything is all under control over here! A tad colder than I would like though! How are you holding up?” he called out so he could be heard over the sound of combat and the winds.

Izuru was locking blades with a particularly large undead knight. Pushing him back and ducking under his next strike, Izuru stabbed the ground and brought a cluster of stone spikes to impale his opponent. Vaulting off of an undead archer, then the massive club of an undead ogre, Izuru took to the air. Spinning in the air and firing a bolt of magical energy from his finger. Izuru put a hole in the Cliffside and dropped snow on the enemy. "See ya" Said Izuru as he ran inside with a squadron of soldiers. His remaining soldiers would be able to handle the rest while he led a squad inside the walls to get at the crystal. As soon as he got inside the walls he noticed a big problem. There was a monster flying above them firing lightning from its mouth. Going from what he remembered from "Rinzler's Tips On Not Dying Because You Don't Know What That Is", this thing was a Skrillis.

Lightning was weak to Wind so Izuru stuck The Sword of Seasons in the ground. "Erika, Wind Form!" Said Izuru as time seemed to slow around him. He had called out to the spirit resting inside his sword, the Spirit of Seasons he dubbed ERIKA. "Spirits hen se jelmio. Mighty forces hen se Gale se Typhoon. Nyke call bē ao naejot forge bisa body ezīmagon mēre bona wields se power hen storms. māzigon forth. FUUJIN!" Izuru chanted as the Power of Autumn surged through him. Around him the wind began to pick up as leaves gathered around the rising Izuru. Enveloping him in a tornado, Izuru floats through the leaves as the Wind Warrior Fuujin. This was a special magic granted by Erika called SEASON EQUIP which let him transform into a form that wields the power of a singular season with greater control than he normally did. Of course it greatly lowered his abilities with other magic as a trade off. Creating a leafy updraft to fly upward with, Fuujin blew away the lightning breath before sending out razor sharp blades of air. These left large slash marks on the Skrillis, fatally wounding it. As it fell to the ground, Fuujin made his way over to it. Holding out his hand, he slowly extracts the air in its lungs, shortening what little time it has left. Suddenly an undead kitsune surprises Fuujin and knocks him down. While Erika pushes to kill her, Izuru pulls back and they revert to their original forms. His experiences with Princess Yuki of the Faelands and her mother Tatsuya left Izuru uneasy about killing kitsune. Erika flips upward and thrusts herself into the kitsune herself. Pulling Erika free, Izuru continues cutting his way to the Crystal Chamber.

Right. That was the plan. Of course, if she hadn’t nodded off a little when he was explaining the battle plan she would have recognized it. When she lived in the Faelands she hardly ever needed to rest but all this travelling and the constant usage of her powers meant that she was constantly pushing her limits. Still, she never let it slow down Kuto. NEVER! Kuto didn't get as powerful as he was by giving up. Besides, how could she? The fate of the Faelands rested on her shoulders along with the last hope of her people. Yuki refused to fail them, and anytime she felt the fatigue building up she would remember them and find the strength to push on.

“I didn’t forget… I was just... reviewing the details!” Yuki said brightly, though she suspected that Kuto could see right through her lie.

She made an effort to listen extremely carefully this time, so much that she didn’t catch the faint crunching of footsteps upon snow somewhere behind them. When he was finished and told them to move on she nodded in agreement and let him take the lead. Before she followed, however, her yellow eyes found the wolf’s skull sticking out of the flowers, its flesh stripped away from the plant growth. It gave her an idea.

Yuki quickly leaned down and lifted it free of the mound of petals. “I know what creation it will be this time..” she started, planning to go into a lengthy description -- which would have doubtlessly annoyed Kuto-- but was stopped short when he whispered to her that someone was following them. Yellow eyes widened behind her mask and she quickly pressed all nine of her tails together to give the illusion of a single puffy tail. To the untrained eye she would look like a typical beastfolk.

She wanted to pretend that they didn’t see their stalker but Yuki’s mind couldnt help but wander. What if it was a scout and it would run back to its people? Her ears twitched impatiently at the thought and although she was following Kuto it was clear it took lot of self restraint. 'Trust Kuto', she thought to herself, 'and if it makes one wrong move rip it to bits.' Black markings reappeared on the tips of her tails, which now looked like a singular one, in preparation for a conflict.

At the demon-dragon-god-emperor's CHAAAAARGE, everyone began to just sort of... wander around the battlefield like a series of very small, localized natural disasters that bit into the skeleton horde more or less at random. This, Saint Rosario had realized, was the issue with having your army led by unstoppable killing machines who had no use for proper tactics. Rosario herself was no exception to this rule, and had been meeting with her officers to plan the finer points of their offensive when Emperor Izuru had decided everyone should commence the siege immediately without bothering to wait for the sappers or any of the actual siege equipment. She was shaken from her daze by the hand of one her second-in-command, Captain Eco.

"Sir Saint?"

"...Eh?", Rosario mumbled, still trying to process what was currently happening outside the fort.

"Permission to speak freely, sire?"

Saint Rosario cleared her throat, putting on what she hoped was a manly voice.

"Hold thine tongue for but a moment, Captain. We must first make haste to aid in the Third's defense."

"Certainly, sire. I'll give the order to march immediately."

Shortly thereafter the company began to march, bringing up the rear- bizarre, considering the Book Of The Lord's insistence that the heavy infantry should be the vanguard of any army, but the Emperor had made this positioning very clear during their approximately five minutes of planning prior. It was slow going in the snow, but the Fourth were hardy men and used to keeping formation in steep terrain, pikes held at ready to defend against the horde. Rosario led from the front, casually smashing apart stray zombies as Eco resumed their conversation.

"Sire, I can't help but notice... Isn't this a bit strange?"

"In what manner, Captain?"

"Well, first there's the fact that we marched all the way out into enemy territory..."

"-With grace and valor-"

"...And then we had a coronation ceremony in front of Grigori's castle..."

"-Er, well, this is technically ancestral-"

"...Also, the Emperor's done nothing but scream vaguely foreign words and masturbate furiously since we showed up. I don't feel like we're fighting a just war anymore."

Bollocks-, thought Rosario, -Why did I get stuck with the green one? If he asks any more of these questions that mad bastard will have both of us on the block. Think, Rosario, think! How can I get him to stop talking?

"...Captain Eco. We are servicemen, are we not?", Rosario began cautiously.

"I suppose so, sire."

"And what is a serviceman?"

"One who... provides a service?", Eco offered.

"Exactly. As servicemen, it is our duty to serve. Who are we lowly creatures to question the divine wisdom of the throne?"

"Okay, but-"

"-I shall hear no more of it, Captain Eco! Pity he who abandons the Sovereign, for in doing so he has abandoned himself. So says the Book Of The Lord."

That and he'll kill us if we talk back.

"...Very well, sir. I'll keep my mind to myself.", Eco conceded, sounding a bit put out through his visor.

"See to it that you do, Captain."

Nailed it.

The strangers stopped, whispered, and resumed their march. They know he's following. Was the man an elf? Or perhaps some savage beastfolk? Ultimately it didn't matter, they knew he was coming and that was that, which caused problems. He wouldn't be able to approach them as quickly as he had hoped without risking them thinking he planned on hurting them. He picked up his pace just a little and held his arms up.

"Disgusting." He mumbled into his helmet. The very act of showing no harm bothered him, he had no reason to fear them but they had all the reason to fear him. His crimson armor was streaked with old blood from previous slaughters. Ignoring proper care for his armor bothered him, but the image it created was something he needed more than the armor itself. His mind drifted to previous assaults where villagers cried out "Demon! A demon is attacking!" over his blood soaked visage but quickly snapped back to the present. "Feeling pride over the past is weakness. Always move forward." He whispered to himself.

He could now finally see them in the distance even through the snowfall. The woman was a beastfolk, but not any kind he saw before. Perhaps a mutant of sorts? Magic often has strange effects and the witches of Hexapolis did find a perverse joy in toying with beastfolk. The man was humanoid, but it was unclear. "Elf. Only explanation. He discovered me before the beast." Now it was only a matter of time before they stop pretending he's not trailing them. Hopefully they wont do something stupid.

Stopping Kuto taken in a deep breathe. "What is it that you want with us? You a knight of vengeance or are you here to try and collect our bounty." Kuto stated to the crimson knight. They was busy and had no time to waste if this Knight wanted a fight it would be wise to not pick one up especially with the both of them. "We have important business to attend to." Kuto turned to the man but his face was still hidden thanks to the hood. He lifted his hand as it was engulfed in flame. His eyes shined red under the darkness from his hood. Kuto released his fire as he realised releasing any magic could cause the town to know they were there. He shook his head looking around, Kuto noticed as there was a stone pathway in the stone leading to somewhere. It was headed towards the town as they have almost reached it. He stopped at the beginning of the pathway and looked around for somewhere they can hide for the mean time.

He looked back at the knight. "Seriously though why were you following us?" While the new comer had appeared Kuto was still trying to run conducted formulated plans to stop any force that gets in their objectives way.

Kai slashed some zombies as he felt his belly growling. "I'm doing good!" He screamed back to Septimus. As the zombies continued to rushed in he charged mana into his blade as he released it. "Moon Cutter!!!!!!" He called out as a blue crescent moon shaped mana cut the hordes in half. "We need to rid of these guys, but they just keep coming out of absolutely no where!" He placed his hand on his stomach as he thought about food.

He looked up at the sky as the wind slowly gotten stronger and colder. "I wonder what's happening over their at the palace." He said to himself.

When Kuto stopped, so did Yuki. Alhough she hadn't looked back at the man tailing them she knew he was fully armored thanks to the faint clinging of chain-mail upon plate and the crunch of snow beneath the stranger's heavy steps. Yuki never understood how people could stand shoes, though admittedly she did find them rather fascinating. One time when Kuto was sleeping she had even created a replica pair of his and ran around in them, but was soon forced to burn them away in haste when he started to wake up.

Kitsune, of course, did not wear shoes. They were too clumsy for hunting and broke the plants underfoot. Besides, they didn't need to. Even in the snow, as Yuki currently was, winter's chill never harmed a kitsune. It explained why Yuki was so lightly dressed, but she couldn't understand the stranger's garb. Travelling in such attire would normally tire out a man and this weather would sneak into the steel, wouldn't it?

She thought on this as Kuto talked to their stalker. Her combined tails swung slowly back and forth while she listened to the brief exchange, like a tiger preparing to strike. Through her mask she warily eyed the stranger, prepared for any sudden movements. "And don't think about lying either. We will know if you do." she growled, adding to Kuto's question.

The hordes of undead kept surging forward with seemingly no end in sight. While he was almost certain the undead that kept coming were not just the same ones that were already slain the vast numbers of them almost made it seem that way. At the moment Septimus and his regiment were fighting their way through the undead at a steady rate with the only difficulties being the piling up of the slain undead making maneuvering a tad more difficult, the cold weather, and the minor injuries that had been received earlier on.

As he sliced through another undead’s legs making it fall to the ground and then promptly decapitating it with a swing of his sword Sep heard Kai’s response that things too were under control over by him and his regiment. Interestingly this response was followed by the Knight of 1 yelling out a name for a what he assumed was an impressive slashing technique with his sword considering it was apparently called ‘moon cutter’ though he could not get a good look at it amidst the combat.

He names his attacks? Wouldn’t that inform an opponent of how your are going to strike them and allow them to better dodge? Then again...these are just mindless undead. Not like they can figure out something like that out. He thought to himself for a moment before pushing the thought aside to respond to the rest of what Kai had mentioned.

“We don't have to kill all the undead, we just need to hold out long enough for the plan to succeed!” he called out to Kai who was commenting on the nonstop onslaught of the undead.

They were tense, understandably so. "We have the same destination and our goals wont conflict as long as we work together. You wish to steal something and I wish to send a message. If you don't wish to work with me, do consider that you ruining my plans will only delay my long term goal while me doing the same with your plan will likely set you much further back." He took a few steps closer and kept his hands up. "I don't know who either of you are or why you plan on collecting artifacts, but you both speak very loudly, especially you." He turned his head to face the man.

"All I need is for you to not block the escape of the townspeople. The more people that flee, the better. That is all I ask of you." He could feel the beastwoman's gaze on him. She knew something was wrong with him, could she detect the magic? Unlikely, his enchantments were weak individually and beneath the notice of anyone that didn't know what to look for. "Yes, woman? Does my face scare you?" The words came out without him realizing, this has become a terrible habit that must be broken immediately. Before she could respond he turned back to the man.

"So, do we have a deal? We work together to avoid stepping on each other's toes."

Kuto tapped Yuki on the top of her head for speaking without being asked to. He gently tapped her to give her the signal to silence. Kuto watched the knight closely, from him standing there he can smell that blood has spilled on this man before. Hearing the knights request he paused for a moment and stood there. To Yuki she thought Kuto will move and kill this man where he stood. “Fine.” His response was calm and collected as he turned around so his back was facing the knight.

“What message are you trying to give.” Kuto asked the man as he looked towards the town. He smirked and chuckled a bit. “I purposely talked that loud I’d figured you ease drop. My name is Kuto and this is Yuki. We’ll stand back on your objective.” He placed his hand on Yuki’s shoulder and pointed her a tree far off into the forest for her to go into hiding. “Once your hidden start the mission I’ll follow up it shouldn’t take you no longer then five minutes.”

Kai cut off the zombies some more he soon got bored of it and stopped to look around the battlefield finally he heard the other knight respond. “That’s good!” He listened some more and sighed. “Thats right we’re on defense.”

Upon reaching the innermost area of Grigori's lair. Izuru found it had somehow become a swamp. Though with power like Grigori's, which could bring forth an army of the dead, Izuru shouldn't have been surprised. It was hot, humid and reeked of death. Moving silently through the marshes with his men, Izuru looked for the crystal. It seemed like the other Legions hadn't arrived yet. According to IZURU'S INCREDIBLY DETAILED PLAN WHICH IS PRETTY GOOD CONSIDERING IT WAS PUT TOGETHER SO QUICKLY. Four Legions would infiltrate Grigori's fortress to destroy his crystal and disable his army. The other eight were to cause enough chaos outside that Grigori's attention and resources would be spread thin. The infiltrating Legions were to catch Grigori off guard and swarm the crystal. As the best fighters of each Legion Izuru, Rinzler, Stigma and Pentario were to distract Grigori himself if they came across him. It may have been a bit simple, though it was all Izuru could plan in the few hours he had to prepare before they went through the warp gate to Snowden. One of the younger recruits looked at his surroundings in fear, Izuru comforted him. They would need every able-bodied soldier to accomplish this task. Then Izuru felt a ominous presence, followed by the sound of flapping wings. Landing on a large skull in front of them was Grigori.
1528350882521.png
"Now what brings such...succulent guests into my humble home?" Asked the dragon in a deep and velvety voice. Everyone in the Twelfth Legion had looks of utter horror on their faces as they bore witness to this horrendous sight. Grigori's black scales were broken and chipped, his flesh was decayed and his insides glowed purple. Everything that could have been a strong and proud member of the dragon race had become a monster of the highest degree. Izuru kept a hand on a sheathed Erika and looked up at the dragon. "I am Izuru, Son of Izaya. I am Emperor of Sumaru, King of Men, Skaalfriend of Dwarves. I was granted the title Lightbringer by the Dark Elves. The Light Elves know me as Star Child. Those of the Eastern Provinces have named me Yamato-Izuru. To the Beastfolk, I am Nox-Fafnir. The Demons call me Izanagi while the Witches know me as Victor. The race you once called yourself a part of know me as Schwartzwind. Though to you Grigori..... I am Death" Izuru drew his sword just as the other Legions arrived. Which was good since Izuru saw something particularly nice behind Grigori.
