[div class=tag]history[/div] Ji-min was born in South-Korea [Busan]. Her parents weren’t particularly poor so she only had to ask in order to get something. However, huge expectations were put on her, needing to be the best in school, in her hobbies, in everything pretty much. Upholding the family’s reputation or else punishment would follow. It wasn’t easy living this way and she had wanted to escape on so many occasions but wasn’t able to due to the fear of ending up alone. Yet, she was already alone after having thought about it for so many times… Her parents were barely home and if they were, the only thing they did was ask about work and that was it. Nothing about her health or if she wanted to do. Eventually, once she graduated from university at the age of 21, she moved out to the city she was most interested by: Tokyo, Japan. With the knowledge she gained with her business courses, she started up a nice café called Sweetz. Doing the publicity and everything on her own as she didn’t really know who she could ask for help as she didn’t know anyone. It was tough, but at home it was worse so she did her utmost best to make it work. Only then, her parents would leave her alone. At least she hoped. She was the youngest of the three so it wasn’t like she could inherit anything, she was plan C as so to say. That was one relief. Her café started to become more and more popular seeing the way she presented her food and drinks, all together with the way she treated her customers. It boomed when a food critic wrote a good article about Sweetz.

Background

History: Mamoru was born into a slightly struggling family, at the age of five his mother and father separated. His mother left with his older brother Dai, and he stayed with his father. Said father had them move to Tokyo in order for him to pursue his job. Because of that Job he was rarely home, so Mamoru was left with various babysitters until he could stay home by himself. Nothing big happened until he reached middle school where he found his love for Photography, this love continued to grow through his high school years. In college he graduated with a Bachelors degree in Photography.
While he has the education to get a job in photography he decided to get a stable job until he could find suitable work, which is how he ended up at the cafe as a waiter. He doesn't believe he wants to leave anytime soon, finding that the cafe often had picture perfect scenes he couldn't help but capture.

They lived in a nice house in Guangzhou, China. Her father was in real estate. He sold condos, mansions, and penthouses to wealthy and sometimes famous people in many cities in east Asia. He was gone a lot of her childhood, leaving her mother to watch her and her younger sister. Boa tried very hard in school. Her mother and father were proud of her efforts. They were never really overbearing or pushy, of course they wanted to succeed but in the areas where she wanted. She found her love for fashion, particularly odd fashion, when she was out shopping with her mother. While traveling to a nearby mall they walked past a thrift store. In the window was a navy sweater with a fluffy eyeballs stitched on it paired with a pair of very wide legged pants and a pair of black platform sandals. She expressed how much she wanted the outfit to her mother, even if it wouldn't fit. Her mother, being the high class woman that she was, didn't want her daughter to dress in someone else's clothes. Her mother said that she could find something else. Later, with her own allowance money, she bought that outfit when her mother wasn't around. Ever since then she has gone to consignment shops, thrift outlets, antique stores, and other odd places to find peculiar pieces for her wardrobe. Boa even learned how to sow and create her own pieces.
In high school she spent a year of school in Tokyo to study. She loved the street fashion and the atmosphere of the city. It was nothing like what she had experienced. She wanted to go back there. After she graduated school, she applied to the China Academy of Arts for Fashion design. With her great marks, interesting style, different portfolio, and family name, she was accepted at the age of 19. She graduated from college just last semester. Boa picked up and moved to Tokyo. Even though her parents offered their financial support, Boa declined. She wanted to make her own way for the first time in her life. She decided to get a small job and take a gap year while she works on her design collection. Her dream is to have her own clothing line and bring the thrift store to the runway. bubbly, excitable and social: three words to describe the mess of the twenty three year old which is ruth. the kennedi daughter, working part time for the extra money, is a primary school teacher who goes to work in the school for two days a week, with the other days dedicated to the bakery. however, the primary school teacher tends to act a bit more like a child herself at times, coming naturally with her playful personality. she's extremely caring and protective of kids, and babies them a bit too much at time. ruth is also confident, sometimes overconfident in a way. whilst she has good intentions, it may not come across like that due to her normal loudness and giddy vibe. course, she can be mature at times, but always prefers to be a bit more immature and relaxed.

Background

history: born in france, ruth had been adopted when she was young. all she knows about her biological parents is that they were poor and therefore couldn't afford the proper care for her, therefore passing her onto an orphanage, where she was adopted quickly. she was the couple's first child, and therefore was cared for an immense amount. her mother ["maman"] was a writer and her father ["papa"] was a lawyer. they lived in a small village called yvoire, a peaceful and happy place. a bit away was her [ adoptive ] uncle's farm, where they would visit often, getting her into horse riding. when she was eight, the couple had zachary [ now 15, ] and then when she was eleven had tobias [ now 13 ]. they stayed the happy family they were. when she finished high school, she went into education to be a teacher.

officially a teacher, ruth had decided to move to japan to live with her boyfriend, who she had met online, at the age of around twenty one. the relationship only lasted around a year, finishing on mutual terms. however, she didn't have enough money to move back to france, and she didn't want to pester her family for money, wanting to do it herself. therefore, she continued the teaching job she had whilst there, along with taking up a job at the cafe.

Personality
Natsuo takes his work very seriously. In fact, he takes everything seriously. He can be described as a bit harsh in his tone, though his words can be rather gentle. Natsuo is known for his tough love. Always with a frown on his face, Natsuo doesn’t seem to find much to smile about, though once you crack his colder exterior, he seems to have a heart of gold and a smile that can melt glaciers. He enjoys his work and seems to have a fondness for flora-- loving to create the most elaborate pastries adorned with gumpaste and buttercream flowers of all kinds. His love for flowers is reflected in the cherry blossom tattoo on his collarbone. He is loyal to the core though, and would do anything to defend the cafe’s “family” that seems to have accumulated during its run. He doesn’t speak of any plans for hs+is future and seems content where he currently stands. He does not seem very patient with others, though he does prove to have quite the temper.

Background
Ever since he was a child, Natuso knew what he wanted to do. He wanted to be a florist. He’s always adored flowers and plants of all kinds, and spent the majority of his childhood learning miscellaneous facts for care and decoration of flora.

However, his family didn’t seem pleased with his choice of career. Thus, Natsuo went for the next best thing.

He studied baking in college and excelled, though he doesn’t seem to want to go too far in the world. He seems happy where he is now, spending all of the time that he can creating elaborate and oftentimes over-the-top cakes and pastries. Natsuo has always been a man of detail and has never been afraid to show off for small crowds.

He is a happy man when one of his creations earns a place in the front window of the cafe.
