Solomon's hunt for a suitable demon to bind turned out to be a fruitless endeavor. Any demon that fell for Himiko's ruse and was captured was far too weak to end up being of use and was either killed or exorcised. After a few hours of hunting Solomon was exhausted and headed back to the Colony, and As much as Solomon would have loved to at least take a power nap his worries about the seals pushed him forward. Nonetheless he knew he would need fuel to keep going and his hunger pulled him to get food rather than rest so the sorcerer headed to the mess hall.

Elijah simply leaned back in his seat, arms crossed with a self-satisfied grin as he watched his girlfriend tear into his partner and rightfully so. As joking as he had been in his prior defense of her, he knew better than to question her ability to rise to a challenge -- multi-tasking or otherwise. As Ash warned the lupine guests of the dress code requirements, he clicked his tongue. "Too bad. I was sort of hoping to see that," he remarked to the two. Newly-formed truce or otherwise, he wasn't sure Vitae was ready for the Pack Alpha to show up to a wedding in a speedo.

William raised both hands defensively, bowing his head at Ash's wrath as he took a step backward with a slight wince. Even with the Grace gone, he had no intention of provoking her hormone-fueled anger. He was mildly surprised to see the manner in which Mackenzie acquiesced to her partner's demands, though he found himself wondering how much of it had to do with legitimately wanting the fairy-tale wedding Ashley-May no doubt had planned rather than hoping to keep her safe and occupied in the coming months. Regardless, Ash didn't seem to mind.

Will pursed his lips slightly as Mac mentioned meeting with Adelaide, presumably about the vision she'd had. He hadn't exactly parted on good terms with his psychic friend, something he would hope to remedy. Before he had a chance to speak up, Elijah stood from the table with his cellphone in hand, his demeanor suddenly serious as his smile faded.

"Edg-- Thor -- texted me a few minutes ago." Elijah paused briefly, reflecting on just how bizarre that statement would be under any other circumstances. "He said two hunters from Austria have arrived -- specialists. They know something about the Seals in New Orleans. They're waiting at the Rec Center." He glanced to Will briefly, "I can handle it if you'd like."

Chase grinned innocently at the older man as he fired back on the fact that he knew how to dress for events. He chuckled and nudged at the mans leg with his own teasingly under the table. Simply shaking his head as the speedo was mentioned along with his pack name, "I've seen you naked plenty enough by now, the speedo wouldn't be much of a change."

Frowning in clear disappointment when Ashley shot down the beachwear wedding down with determination in her voice. He'd thought it an enjoyably idea personally, and shrugged in the aftermath. Then proceeded to hold his tongue on potentially wearing birthday suits since the wording fit the category. The pregnant woman was on a roll and he wasn't about to get called out once again. Though when Mackenzie spoke to the two wolves mentioning that they were indeed invited and that she guessed half the pack would be two he couldn't help but give a slight confused and surprised look. The hunter was so hard to read but she seemed oddly okay with the idea, not that he was going to complain. She mentioned needing to go, and Elijah did as well right after. At least Thor seemed to have made it back and wasn't dead as they'd assumed could happen. More than that was the talk of seals, which related to the First Sin. It was good to see them taking it seriously now that everything was out in the open.

Chase slipped out of his chair and stepped behind Emile's, "Mind if I walk you out?" He asked Mackenzie though he clearly had the intent of doing so. Giving Emile's shoulders a squeeze he leaned down, "I'll be right back." He told the man quietly, then waited patiently to step away and follow the moment the woman was ready.

Emile winked at Chase as the younger wolf nudged his knee, finding the conversation not only amusing but oddly calming. He would have thought the addition of Skye-Mackenzie, would bring more tension but it seemed the small hunter was content to allow the pack in the vicinity. He would never presume she would ever be 'okay' with them; they had a long history and in all honesty he doubted he could trust her alone with his pack ever in the near future. She had taken plenty of their lives and limbs and her change of heart was quite sudden, he suspected there was something else to it all.

He watched with interest as Ashley-May berated three of them around the table, Chase had warned him of her sharp tongue and while most of her speedy speech was lost on him he knew well enough to keep his silence until she was done and calm. He reached up and patted Chase's hand as he offered to walk Mackenzie out after she announced she was leaving, Elijah soon after. With the three leaving himself, Ash and Will in the room a sudden silence fell between them. He cleared his throat after a moment and regarded Ash. "Chase tell me you are doctor, oui? He say you good at it."

Mackenzie raised an eyebrow as Eli mentioned hunters from oversea's, wondering briefly if they had any knowledge of her family there and their whereabouts. The first few pages of her mothers journal, the one she had never seen, revealed what Mac had known, or assumed about her mothers Gaelic lit - she had been born in Scotland and lived in England prior to coming to North America. She hadn't read far before she had found Wills note, the journal now sat on the front seat of her Beast waiting to be finished. The fact that Thor had returned, alive, meant that he clearly had some sort of success with his attempt on the First Sin - otherwise she wouldn't have received the first prophecy about the first seal they needed to protect.

As she started for the door Chase caught up with her and she slowed so he could walk with her out onto the front of porch of the house. Not two weeks before she and he had had a heated debate about gods and the potential of hunting them. It seemed long ago and their threat so very distant for what was coming. "What's up?"

Ashley-May frowned as Mackenzie agreed with her want to plan a wedding. She knew Mac well enough to know there was a sub plot to this she wasn't seeing but she would take the win even if there were strings attached. Her frown creased further as Elijah excused himself to go speak to Thor. Of course the god would already be calling on him; he wasn't even fully healed yet! but before she could voice her opinion the Brit was headed out the door behind the first two. She glanced to Will, about to speak, to find out more about what had happened between him and Mac when Emile spoke.

She smiled and nodded. "There are better," She admitted, waving off the man but pushing a seat out for Will to join them. "But I like what I do and the colony accepts my help even if I haven't completed my finals."

William hesitated briefly as Elijah offered to handle the meeting with Edgar before nodding his acceptance. He had planned to depart with either him or Mac, but instead remained behind as the two of them left, Chase not far behind. He wasn't sure what the wolf wanted to discuss with his fiancee, but he knew if it was crucial he'd be informed eventually. He turned, noting the chair Ash pushed toward him and offered her a smile, taking the indicated seat.

He turned the smile to Emile, "She is too modest," Will remarked. "She's very good at what she does." Will paused, deciding to continue the small talk if for no other reason to avoid another uncomfortable silence. "What do you think of Vitae? How does it compare to Borseti?"

1518326080383.png
Elijah planted a kiss on Ash's forehead before leaving the Clinic House, waving to Mac and Chase both before making his way toward the Rec Center. As he went, he unbuckled his belt in order to slide the demon-killing blade onto it at his side before putting it back on. Within minutes, he was stepping inside the Rec Center to scan the interior, spotting Edgar along with another dark-haired man. He strode forward, nodding toward the deity. "I apologize for the delay." Eli looked Thor's companion up and down -- there was no doubting that the man was dangerous judging solely by his stance and build. "Elijah Davenport. Pleasure," he said, extending his hand.

Chase stepped out onto the porch alongside Mackenzie, waving to Elijah as the man left to discuss the seals. Something he'd been surprised Emile hadn't tried to ask the man about when he'd had the chance. When the woman next to him finally asked what he wanted, Chase moved to the nearby railing of the porch and sat back against it while looking at her. "Thanks for that in there." He said genuinely, nodding towards the front door. "Both the journal and keeping things...civil. Emile was quiet but I know he felt the same way I do." Taking in a deep breath he cocked his head to the side slightly after a small pause, "But there's one other thing you could do for me though." Chase raised his relaxed brow slightly and crossed his arms over his chest as he expected resistance to his request, "Meet with Malcolm." Chase said simply, using the mans name rather than the title of father for a reason, in both trying not to get too much of a rise out of the female as well as knowing they were rather estranged.

He got the feeling he was pushing it. Mackenzie after all had only just found out the pack wasn't as twisted as she'd thought, found it's Alpha in their former home, sat a few feet with him in conversation, and even invited the Werewolf and likely part of the pack to her future wedding. On any given day that's a heavy load to digest, but for her personally he knew it wasn't enjoyable.

Emile smiled as Ash modestly spoke about her talent with healing, from what Chase had relayed and the fact that she had been traveling with Skye, he knew better than to believe her. His thoughts were rewarded as William confirmed his suspicions - she was far better than what she claimed to be. He watched Will quietly as he was asked how he felt about Vitae versus Borseti. "It is nice." He said slowly, wanting to piece together as much English as possible, he doubted either of them spoke French, much like Chase. "Vitae is .. young, she will grow, I think, be larger now, mais very different to Borseti."

"When pack come to Borseti she already twice a big as Vitae. With the pack we grow together, now we have eight-hundred people live there." He smiled. "A hopital. School et University et College, mais both teach common things, no doctor programme." He told Ash with a wink. "The pack is only a small part of the colony; she keep growing - we can't keep walls, like this."

3SijZSx.jpg

Ashley-May watched Emile as he older man went on to describe Borseit to them. It seemed impossible: humans and wolves and God knew what else living together in harmony. As he continued to talk about their amenities she had to pause him. "Sorry, did you say hospital?" He nodded with a smirk. "Like fully funded, real hospital that takes care of wolves too?" Now this was of interest to her; anything medical always piqued her interest but this was unheard of. She knew very well how to heal and save people whom were inflicted with wounds from supernatural beings, but saving them, learning about this anatomy and how to heal them. Well this was just beyond anything she could have dreamed of. "Sounds like I need to visit."

bTU0wF0.png

Mackenzie watched Elijah head off for his meeting with the pagan god, she turned her focus to Chase as he thanked her. It was confusing to hear and very unexpected. She raised an eyebrow as he went on to speak about Malcolm, her father. She was silent for a long time, feeling the terror, unbridled fear rising at the even mention of his name. "I don't know him." She said cautiously, fighting to keep her face impassive and her voice cool. "He was gone when I was eight and even before then, Chase, he didn't talk to me, not directly. He sat in his office, reading his journals and drinking." She breathed slowly, trying to slow her racing heart. "He's not like Joe; he's not caring and loving. Br - My brothers were his soldiers and I was my mothers daughter, that is all."

Chase let loose a small huff as the woman declined, knowing it was going to take more than simply asking her to. Releasing his arms from his chest, they lowered to the railing below with a slight shift in body as he tried to make his ribs more comfortable before speaking. "I'm not saying you should go hug him and call him daddy. Just...talk to him, hell, yell at him if you want." Chase shrugged his shoulders whilst trying to ignore the small jab at the not so fresh wound that was Joe, he knew what he was getting into by bringing up this conversation, "Get whatever answers you need to get that you haven't been able to. If nothing else get closure, because if you're about to start a new chapter in your life with that man in there you owe it to him to try."

Chase gave her a simplistic smile before scratching at the back of his head, contemplating the best way to handle the situation. "Back in the clinic last night, I'm not sure if you remember waking up or not. But, both Brody and Malcolm were in your room, and of course you panicked. My point is, the moment they heard you were hurt they came running." It was difficult to say what would get through to the woman, if anything, but he'd be damned if he didn't try. "It means they care, and that counts for something, right?"

William raised his eyebrows in surprise as Emile talked about Borseti. What little he had gleaned from Mac's journal and the recollections of those Councillors who had once been there hardly seemed to do it justice. Even after everything that happened, the hunter in him found it difficult to imagine a functioning, thriving Colony where people like him coexisted with wolves peacefully. The mention of a hospital that served humans and werewolves alike also caught his attention, as it clearly had with Ashley-May too. As Emile commented on the lack of walls, Will shrugged. "Maybe that's for the best," he murmured, more to himself.

The walls had been a vital part in keeping the Colony safe, of course, but he'd come to realize that they represented far more than mere safety. They had also come to perfectly symbolize the Council's close-mindedness, their isolation. Shaking his head to clear his thoughts, he glanced to Emile again. "Bart, he invited Mackenzie and I to your Pack's camp tonight. She wants to check on Missy. I hope this won't cause any trouble." Will paused, swallowing deeply before continuing, "And, with your permission... I'd like to speak to Trent's family."

When Solomon arrived at the REC center to date his hunger he couldn’t help but notice Da Ji and the Djinn talking. As well as a few others he recognized. Well perhaps one of them would be able to help with his problem. He wouldn’t bother Da Ji as he didn’t want to inflict suffering upon himself. So that left the others. Though each of them seemed to be having their own conversations. Solomon would mull over which to intrude himself on and settled on Elijah and his lot. “ Pardon me. I hope I’m not interrupting.” Solomon said in greeting before sitting down and digging in.

Viktor shook Elijah's hand and replied "Viktor Borschadt, this is my colleague Mikael." inclining his head towards his blond partner. When another man sat down at their table Viktor looked over to Thor with a raised eyebrow, but the deity made a gesture with his hand to tell him to go on. Straight to the point as ever, he began "I suppose an introduction is in order, we work for an organisation named Ahnenerbe der Wahrheit, we occupy high positions in governments, law enforcement, military and intelligence agencies around the world, though our main sphere of influence is in the Germanic parts of Europe such as Germany, Austria and Sweden. Think of us as the British Men of Letters, though less fundamentalist. Thor here helped found it back in the Dark Ages."

He paused briefly to look at Thor before resuming "Now we normally let you Americans deal with jobs here, however we do intervene when we feel the need to. This is one such occurance, an Oracle in our service has had visions of murders that would be committed in New Orleans, with the location of these being key, that would be related to a Seal. One of these Seals happens to be a sacrifice in blood. We dispatched three agents to New Orleans four days before the first murder, using our contacts within the FBI to allow them to pose as federal agents. Unfortunately they were unable to prevent first murder, a second once followed a few days after. This killer has now brutally mutilated two women and left them in the streets, leaving no trace that even our agents have been able to detect. No one heard anything, no one saw him, and we don't have a clue what we are dealing with here. Our Oracle's visions are still evolving."

Viktor's briefly turned into that of a wolf, showing Elijah that he was a pure-blooded werewolf "That's why we've been sent here. We could use Thor's experience for this, and he believes there might be help to get from the Colony to be had, that is why we are having this conversation. Our own numbers are thinly stretched as we are dealing with Seals back in Europe, and we could use all help we can get." As he spoke he had also opened up a tab of CNN on his laptop, showing an article headlined "Horrifying murder shakes the city of New Orleans."

Emile nodded as it was clear Ashley-May was passionate about learning more about Borseti; he was thankful for this in many ways but mostly because his next series of questions may not have gone well otherwise. "You should come," He said slowly, wanting to make his point clear. "We alway need good doctors; people like you." He nodded back to where the Clinic was located beyond the doors. "Here they finish you training? Make you doctor too?"

He shifted his gaze to Will as he spoke, surprised that Bart would invite the pair to the pack, though he wasn't surprised - Bart wasn't part of his pack after all, it wasn't like the man would ask his permission for anything. He considered and nodded slowly. "Oui, c'est dacord. You come wit your wife, bring Ashley et Eli: We make Chase cook you dinner, yes?" He smiled, choosing to ignore the request to speak to Trent's family for the moment.

3SijZSx.jpg

Ashley-May blinked as Emile invited her to Borseti; she hadn't been aware he had that sort of authority. The idea of completing her education and being a certified true to her word doctor was more than a little appealing but there were many draw backs to accepting it, first and foremost: leaving behind those she considered her family. Thankfully the subject diverted to Will announcing that Mac wanted to see Missy and Emile inviting them to dinner. She smiled and nodded. "That would be nice, thank you."

bTU0wF0.png

Mackenzie rolled her eyes at Chase's scarcastic comment about her father - considering educating the man just what her childhood prior to hunting had been with Malcolm but ultimatley deciding against it. She snorted as he suggested she 'owed' it to Will to at least try and speak to her family and she crossed her arms over her chest. She knew there wouldn't be a way to step out of his conversation without giving the man what he wanted to hear but she certainly wasn't going to give it to him for free. "Let's be clear about one thing: that man wouldn't give a shit if I decided I didn't want anything to do with them at all. If I told him I didn't want to even look in their diection he'd move heaven and earth to make sure I didn't."

"He knows exactly what I've been though, every bit of my past. The bad and the worse, and he trusts my judgement as much as I trust his." She paused, letting it sink in for a moment. "Having said that, I will consider what you've asked. I'll think about it is as best as you're going to get from me Chase: every bit of my core, my instinct is telling me to run and I am fighting just to keep myself inside these walls."

Elijah nodded to Viktor and Mikael, as well as Solomon when he approached before pausing to listen closely to what the former had to say. He wasn't intimately familiar with their organization -- he had been aware of a powerful organization of hunters at work in Germanic Europe, but he and his family had always given them a wide berth. Now he had a name to put to the enigma. The reassurance that they lacked the Men of Letters' rabid fundamentalism was a welcome one; Elijah was more than willing to accept the help of another ally that wouldn't have him looking over his shoulder on a regular basis.

Eli arched an eyebrow as Viktor's eyes briefly flashed a lupine yellow, but didn't remark on it. He was surprised that an old and well-established organization of hunters would be open-minded enough to allow a wolf (pureblood or otherwise) into their ranks, though considering a pagan god was among their founders a bit of open-mindedness was hardly out of place. He could see the appeal of a werewolf or two in an investigative pursuit -- their senses put those of any human to shame, to say nothing of their obvious use in a scrap.

"Any number of creatures could be responsible for those murders," Elijah mused, raising a thoughtful hand to his chin, elbow propped against his other arm. "Our best bet may be investigating the Seal itself, the significance of the killings... get ahead of whatever's at work there." He glanced up at Viktor. "I'm not in charge here, but I'll be sure to pass along everything you've told me. If at all possible, we'll lend a hand in putting a stop to this."

1518844826875.png
William was relieved at Emile's tone as he agreed to the visit; he had half-expected the Alpha to retract Bart's invitation. Will hardly would have blamed him. He noted that Emile had tactfully chosen to ignore his question regarding Trent's family and he doubted it was by accident. He would let the matter lie for now; it wasn't a pleasant subject for either of them he imagined and he didn't want to push his luck with the wolf. He smiled, "Sounds great. I haven't seen him at work in the kitchen yet."

Emile's offer to Ash surprised Will and he gave Ash a sideways glance, unsure if she would consider it or not. He knew she would love nothing more than to finish her schooling, get one step closer to a normal life for her and Liam.

Chase simply listened rather rigidly as the woman gave her rebuff. His index finger consistently tapped the underside of the railing and finally he huffed softly after she'd given her answer as well as describing her instinct to run. The man gave a small nod of acceptance, "I know what I'm asking is a lot, just know your father has done right by me, when I hadn't necessarily done right by him...or the pack as a whole for that matter." Pushing off the small railing he shifted his body so he was now facing her direction, "But speaking as someone who's done his own share of running...it's easier to stop when you realize you don't have anything to run from anymore." Chase understood they each had their own reasons and situations. The man cocked his head to the side a little, "Maybe you'll find yourself without a reason to."

Rather than linger on the sentiment that he expected was going to make her uncomfortable he moved on, lip curling into a small smile. Deciding to bring up something that he'd meant to ask Ashley about, "Did you find your mothers journal? I was asked to give it to you, but seeing as you were unconscious at the time so I decided to leave it nearby."

"Edgar" glanced at Viktor, who almost telepathically seemed to understand what he was thinking about, turning his gaze back to Elijah he said "As Viktor mentioned, the location is key, from what the Oracle saw, we believe the killer will murder in a pattern that will create a sigil if all murders are connected on a map via straight lines. The problem is, not even I know of this sigil, the way I see it our best bet is to bring someone with psychic abilities there and try to figure it out. The immensity of this ritual should allow them to percieve at least some part of it. There is however another problem...". The deity paused, clearly annoyed with himself.

"Elijah, do you know of the so-called "fortnight of flames" of 1717? Where the french vampiric population was mysteriously decimated through events such as the massacre in Lyon?"

Da Ji regarded the young Djinn carefully, she seemed to be easily frightened by unnecessary things. " Well, I used to be an Empress but that was so long ago, as of right now I am just another creature fighting to ward off destruction." She once again looked at Ginny and carefully thought about how she would bring the girl's potential out, they were fundamentally different and if she were to teach magic the way she learned it... " Can you do any magic?"

Jordan sat down at the nearest table and waited for Franklin to decide what to order. For Jordan, this was a place of relaxation, a place where he could let his guard down a bit, a home away from home. It helped that most of the workers among his followers though they have no inclination of being such. "It is important at times like this to take a moment to unwind, stressing over the situation breeds mistakes and animosity."

Ginny listens, fascinated. Of course, she knows that supernatural entities have always had a place in history, that’s just their nature, but due to to cutting herself off from everyone, she’s met very few. At her question, she shrugs. “The usual things. Disguising myself as human,”

She holds up a hand, showing the markings and burns that cover her hand and a bit of her forearm. “Can’t do anything about these, though. And my venom of course, but I’ve had to teach myself how to use it. It works fine on most people, but if a hunter knows that they’re dealing with a djinn I’m kind of screwed.” She admits.

Come to think of it, she wonders if Da Ji even knows her situation?.Ginny is the only djinn here of course, and given that they typically live with their families, it shouldn’t be to hard to recognize her as an orphan.

Solomon perked up when he heard Elijah and the group talking about the First Seal. Apparently some information got spread around while he was out on his demon hunt. “ First Seal? What do we know so far? And if we just need something with psychics leanings would a demon work? I’ve been looking to replace Pan after his injury at the hands of the Angels, but all the ones I’ve found were too weak.” Solomon said sliding his meal away from himself and jumping into the conversation.

Emile nodded as Will accepted his invitation over for dinner though he certainly was aware of how quiet Ashley-May had become after he had spoken about Borseti. He wouldn't bring it up again, not wanting to make her feel uncomfortable but he did realize he was quickly coming to the end of topics he could speak on. What did you talk to hunter about anyhow? "How do you feel now?" He asked her politely. "Chase say that the angels take your son's Grace, that he will be human now. This is better, yes?"

Ashley-May blinked as Emile spoke to her about her son, unaware that the Alpha had any knowledge of her condition and the details though she supposed it shouldn't have surprised her that Chase would keep his boyfriend informed. She nodded slowly, almost cautiously. "I feel fine," She replied though doubted that was what he had meant by the question, quickly following up to answer the other possibility. "It will give him a chance to actually live a life away from danger, as much as I can given my profession; it at least give him the opportunity to decide for himself if he wants to be part of this world or not."

Mackenzie has assumed Malcolm had made efforts to win Chase over; she was more than a little surprised to hear that Brody hadn't been involved in some way but refrained from questioning it. She frowned slightly as he mentioned the journal, at first not recalling what he could be referring to but it soon donned on her. "It came from them," She said cautiously, how she hadn't figured that out was a true example to just how much Will distracted her at a deep level. Had she not found the mans note and been utterly distracted she would have thought more about it. "I found it, thank you." She wondered idly if the man had read any of it himself while it was in his possession - she hadn't made it beyond the first few pages herself but the information would mean nothing to Chase without knowing about the other journal. "I really should be getting in touch with Addy," She said suddenly, she knew it was awkward but was never good at transitioning conversations. "I'll see you later."

Franklin smiled to the waitress and ordered a simple tea, Earl Grey, as he turned his attention back to Inari as the Alpha spoke. He nodded slowly, but failed to see just how it would apply to their current situation, unless the Alpha felt stressed, of course. "I imagine the colony is feeling the effects of stress as we speak." He gave a slight shrug, "At the very least they have agreed to work with us going forward; those that remain as it were. For the time being I suppose we're at a 'wait and see' cross roads."

Elijah frowned as Thor mentioned that they had little grasp of what the sigil being geographically "drawn" in blood was. Had that not been the case, it would have been relatively simple to predict the killer's moves and cut them off as they attempted to finish the ritual. However, with them being one step behind things would be... complicated. The only psychic he knew of that could be of assistance was Addy, but judging by what Mac had said moments before she would be occupied with a Seal of her own. Solomon had mentioned the use of a demon, though Eli was loathe to agree to that unless there was little other choice. He was pulled from his thoughts as Edgar spoke up again.

Eli cocked his head. "Of course. I grew up learning about it. A lion's share of the vampires in Lyon were slain in less than a month's time. No one knows by who or what -- a coordinated campaign by hunters, infighting between nests..." He paused, eyebrows furrowed. "Unless, of course, you happen to know something about the events there." He was curious as to why the deity was bringing up the bit of occult history; did he suspect the killer was a vampire?

1519101113007.png
William raised an eyebrow as Emile transitioned the subject to Ashley-May or, more specifically, Liam. He gave the woman a sidelong glance, unsure how she would react to the fact that the Alpha was well aware of her condition and willing to probe about it, albeit lightly. Luckily, despite some clear hesitance, Ash didn't seem put off by the subject. He smiled as she spoke, reaching out to grasp her shoulder with a friendly squeeze. "He'll have his mom to look after him... and a big family to count on."

"Not a problem." Chase had replied to her thanks, then the conversation had a silent pause before the woman brought up her appointment with Adelaide. Chase gave a nod of acknowledgement, "Hope so." He teased lightly with a wink, waiting until she started down the steps to turn around and enter the home once again. Chase wasn't going to argue unless she wanted to argue, he'd asked her and she said she'd consider it. However Chase wasn't about to give up if the outcome of her consideration wasn't favorable in the end. The man entered the room once again in clear thought on the subject before letting it slip from his mind and focus on those in the room, smiling at them curiously as the trio had differing looks on their faces. "Did I miss anything?" He asked as he returned to his former seat. "Anything he said about me while I was gone was a lie." Chase added lightly, covering his bases in the event Emile had taken the chance to try and embarrass him while he was absent.

"Since we have more pressing matters than history lessons, I think it's quicker if I show you.". Whilst he was very weakened, his proficiency with mental projection hadn't been diminished. He closed his eyes and reached out with his mind to both Solomon and Elijah, as he would with an Oracle.

Images of war, large groups of vampires attacking a group of Austrian troops and razed villages were shown. Thor spoke "Following the persecution of werewolves in France in the 1600s, the vampires were left largely without competition. The consequence of this was that their numbers would grow exponentially during the Spanish War of Succession, deaths were common, and it became difficult for hunters to operate. The french vampires at this time were very organised, their leaders amongst the first vampires to have been created, and thus with enough authority to hold them together. After the war they suddenly found themselves with a much more limited supply of food, they split in two and prepared for war. Both sides creating new soldiers. The countryside was being terrorized, the death toll was swiftly rising."

Thor's voice continued "Things were getting out of hand fast, I intervened. It took me two weeks and twentysix hives before I finally managed to track down the center of their operations: Lyon.". The vision now showed a grand hall with a long table, a massive chandelier hung from the ceiling and paintings decorated the walls. Three vampires in rich clothes were having a discussion in french, fear evident in their voices. Screams, loud crashes, lightning and wet tearing noises were heard from behind two large doors, and the noise was getting closer. Then suddenly the doors were seemingly blown open, and in stepped Thor. He had the same human form he often chose, he too was dressed as a noble, and he was covered in blood. Though none of it was his own. One of the vampires charged him in the blink of an eye, looking only like a blur, a testament to the vampire's advanced age. The vampire had aimed a punch at Thor's head, but the deity had caught it, and with a grim frown on his face he tore the arm from it's socket, before swiftly ending the vampire's screams by tearing off his head. Snapping his fingers, he disintegrated one of the two remaining vampires, seemingly blowing her up from inside, with her body turning into ash in the fraction of a second. He turned on the last "I have questions, you will answer." in french. Thor's voice was heard again "I was baffled that there wasn't more of them, it turned out that several dozen of their older members had fled the country as the word of my hunt spread. As of yet, I knew not where." As he spoke, images of him entering the vampire's mind, the vampire laughed "You can look all you want, I know not where they headed. But know this, we do not forget.". Thor smiled at him "I sincerely hope so.". He let go of the vampire's throat that he had been holding and took a step back, the vampire looked as if he was about to speak, but was cut off when Thor's arm suddenly lashed out, he struck the vampires neck with his open hand and severed it, decapitating the vampire in one fluent move.

It was present day again, Thor was walking the streets of a city, jazz was heard and a sign read "French Quarter". He resumed "I figured they had scattered, I was wrong. They had not only fled the country, they had fled the continent. Travelling by ship to the New World. Here in Louisiana, they helped build what would become New Orleans.". Thor, now clearly invisible to everyone else, was shown standing and observing bags of blood from the black market being carried in by crates into a a large building. The driver and a vampire, evident by the sunglasses, shook hands. On the hand of the vampire was a ring with a crest of a hawk, as a reminder, images from Lyon with vampires carrying the same rings where shown. Various images of them all over the city was shown in a rapid pace.

Thor broke off the mental contact "We won't only be chasing an elusive killer, we will be doing so in enemy territory. These aren't just any other hive living like vermin, they are amongst the oldest and most powerful vampires in the world, they have contacts, they have income through illegal shipping. Now, they thankfully don't control the city, yet we need to stay clear of them. I am not nearly at full power, and Viktor and Mikael here can only face so many at a time. I have no doubt that we can pull this off, and it is imperative we stop this seal from being broken. But it is important that everyone knows what they are heading into."

Emile smiled hearing about Ashley-May being content with what had happened with her child and Heaven's Host. He certainly didn't wield the power to make any changes to their agreement, but at the very least he would have been able to know if she needed any further assistance from the pack. She had been an asset to Chase while they waited for the night to come: he knew that she had been one of his few ties remaining to the colony and hunters and he appreciated what she had done for him; stayed his friend above everything else. He nodded as Will mentioned her 'family' within the colony and the help they would provide, though he tilted his head aside as he heard Chase returning, smirking at the other wolf as he came in.

Ashley-May squeezed Will's hand in thanks as he mentioned being there for her and Liam going forward. She didn't doubt for a second He and Mac would be a full part of Liam's life and any other children she, and hopefully Eli, choose to have in the future. She looked up to Chase as he came back into the house, trying to judge his demeanor and failing. "How did that go?" She asked curiously knowing very well there was a very good chance that Mac had threatened to skin the wolf.

Mackenzie was thankful that Chase didn't push fruther with her; she certainly didn't like anyone stepping into her life and making requests of her, much less the wolf who only knew what the other wolves had told him. She didn't dwell on it any longer, far more pressing things needed to be handled today, first and foremost, the witch.
She pulled her cell from her pocket and scrolled through the contacts to find Adelaide before dialing. The witch picked up within the first couple of rings; as if she was expecting Mac's call. After a brief conversation Mac soon discovered that Addy was already where Mac wanted to meet her - at the Research Tent, looking up some information that Mac had given her when she had called earlier. "Great," She said as she headed down the driveway to the road. "I'll be there in a few." She didn't bother taking the Beast with her since they weren't far from the Research tent from the Clinic House.

Elijah's eyes shut compulsively as he felt Thor's probing presence in his mind -- an experience he wasn't altogether comfortable with, but necessary. The images, along with Thor's voice, played through his mind in brief flashes, yet he had no trouble comprehending them all the same. It was like something between sharing a memory and watching a video. Years ago he might have cringed at the violence Thor unleashed on the vampires -- a level of brutality he had known the Norse deity to be capable of but had yet to see in person. As the projection ended soon thereafter, Elijah stumbled backwards slightly, breathing slowly as he regained his composure.

"That certainly explains Lyon," he remarked, somewhat dryly. Eli paused, considering his words briefly before continuing. "In other situations I might want to see if the vampires would be willing to help; as much as I hate it, they've had centuries to learn the city inside and out: its public face and the supernatural underground." He sighed, "...but in this case, I don't think we can risk it. Vampires hold grudges; they'll lash out if they find out who you are... especially if they realize how vulnerable you are," Elijah said, his tone apologetic. "That's assuming, of course, that they aren't already in league with Murehuanon and The First Sin."

He pursed his lips. "The only one I know of who fits the bill with psychic prowess and an intimate knowledge of New Orleans is Addy... and from the sound of it, she has her plate full with a Seal of her own out East."

William looked up at Chase, smiling as the man entered. Like Ash, he was certainly curious as to what he had talked to Mackenzie about and how it had ended. Judging by the fact that he hadn't walked in bruised & bloodied... it must have gone somewhat well.

Adelaide hung up the phone, setting it down on the table alongside her before returning her attention to the laptop in front of her... and the several old hardcover tomes surrounding it. The scribes in the Research Tent were in the process of "modernizing" their records, which meant scanning and digitzing as much material as possible, though it was a painstaking process. Addy had pulled what she could on the Witch Trials and the surrounding lore & history, though much of it was relatively vague. For better or worse, Adelaide knew most of her groundwork would have to be done at the site of the haunting itself.

Smiling at Elijah's comment he replied "I'm not all talk you know, and for the record, seeing entire villages, even the children, drained of blood didn't exactly please me...". He scratched his cheek "It's a big risk, I reckon I still terrify them enough to intimidate them into giving us the information, though should they know how weakened I am... They would, to put it lightly, bring hell to my doorstep. No, it's best to try to avoid them."

Thor suddenly had an idea, from his pocket he took out a small coin with norse runes on it "Actually... We might have another option that doesn't require Adelaide to actually be there. If she holds this token of mine, I should be able to connect my mind to hers in such a strong way I can allow her to see through me, her psychic abilities should still be working. I'll of course have to limit what she can see, I am afraid her brain wouldn't be able to process everything if she felt all that I percieve, yet... It's worth a shot, if Viktor and Mikael here are unable to trace the killer it might be the only thing we have to go on. It will of course require us to be at the scene of a murder though."
