history:
amisi was born to a human man (jarrah) and a water nymph (sybil). unfortunately, her grandparents were extremely racist against the other species. they were utterly disgusted once they found out they were engaged and sybil was pregnant with their granddaughter. the grandparents broke ties with them, leaving the young couple poor.
once amisi was born, they managed to open a fishing supplies store plus a fish fry restaurant.

at a young age, she was taught not only to help around the store/restaurant, but also to control her powers.
