Anabella Bonner née Levi

The woman gave a slow nod, hands still folded in her lap. "I see. Well, this only re-affirms my opinion that one must be careful when they drink. To drink for pleasure is one thing, to drink to forget is another. If you delve too deeply into the bottle, you'll never come out of it...and I'm sure there are those who would deeply desire you to do so." She kept her eyes on the wolf-woman, offering a reserved smile at being called beautiful. It was strange, hearing a compliment...stranger still to hold a conversation with someone who was still alive. "Please, the flattery and compliments are not necessary, Miss Samantha. Now, I would offer to escort you home but...circumstances prevent me from doing so. I don't have the energy to do such for you, and for that, I apologize. I can however sit with you until you sober a bit, to ensure you can travel safely?" Feeling the woman put her head on her shoulder, she reached a gloved hand out, gently putting her fingers beneath her chin and helping her sit a bit upright. "Please, don't slump or slouch. The poor posture will be bad for your back, I'm afraid. My life is exceedingly dull, so I won't bore you with that as a conversation topic. Why don't you pick something to speak of?"

Hearing him voice his complaints about bra's she nodded a bit, shrugging. "That's all pretty true, but I sort of need em. Don't like the idea of going commando. Besides that, is it so wrong I want to look cute for no one but myself?" She flashed a brief grin at his comment about her not getting a bra with spikes. "Tried it once, too many complications with the wardrobe. Besides, I'm not really big on spikes. I prefer flames, personally. Cute little skulls also work. It's a thing at this point honestly. I actually have a few like that back at home now that I think about it....ah well." She shrugged a bit, the conversation seemed all too easy for her. If she had him talking, he wasn't in his own head, which was probably for the best for his mood.

"Right, food court. I'm not picky, so we'll head that way later and you can pick whatever you want, love. I get what you're saying though...but look at it this way. You're allowed in the mall now, and just about anywhere else. A lot more places if I'm with you on duty too. Let's get you your clothes, whatever you need. But if your running out of clothes is seriously an issue, we could always make you a single outfit from your own hair fiber, as detestable as I'm sure you find the idea of cutting your hair to be." She followed after him, steps measured and confidant. Eyes watched him grab clothes without much issue, he probably had his size memorized by heart it would seem. Attention snapping in the direction of the waistcoats as he brought it up, a small smile tugging at the corner of her lips when he made a mad dash to collect waistcoats.

"Darren, I'm sure you'll look dashing in those. If my old Director knew you wore them, he'd call you a proper little gentleman. Then get after me for not looking like a proper lady." She gave a small laugh, walking over and collecting some of the clothes from him, grinning. "I like seeing you get excited about things, you were so sullen when I first found you. Let's get the rest then go get some food, yea?"

Ruru and Shard
Devils tale bakery

Ruru stared confused, she heard shard call her Zuzu.... The only one she ever knew with a name like that is her mother Zuzulian. But..... why was she a child, Shard said they were simply colleagues....why does he look so sad. The girl ran behind shard scared... did she scare the girl? Zuzu went on about qaudrapeds and four legs... Zuzu was a centaur? How come shard never told her? If her mother was a centaur, why did she look like this? "don't worry... I'm a demon, I'm just in disguise. Come on shard. show her yours as well." she said hoping that maybe she would calm down being in the presence of obvious demons. She gently decasted her transform spell and was engulfed in a pillar of darkness, She returned to her original form. Smiling as she walked out of the pillarRuru 2.jpg. "see? I'm all demon, no need to be worried." she chimed crouching down to be face to face level. She was obviously a child. And with shard so out of it, she needed to have some sort of reason. She can overthink this later, right now there's a scared little girl. "you want something to eat? it may help you relax." she asked sweetly while glancing at shard who still hadn't said anything since Ruru walked in the room, what was wrong with him. Ruru had somewhat wished Nadia had entered the room, since she apparently knew Zuzulian as well. "I can brew some really good tea"

Shard was still frozen, his head was thinking a thousand miles per hour, Ruru was here, Ruru had saw Zuzu, she recognized Zuzu as her mom... she said that to Zuzu.... Everything is crumbling apart. The facade hes kept up for more then 2000 years. The hatred hes had swelling in him since the death...the apathy he had gained, the sense of taste and smell he had lost. The colors of the world he could no longer see. Everything was swirling together into one mess. He felt like throwing up, a pain in his stomach swirled so much he wanted to cut himself open and rip the pain out, The room was swirling as he could barely breath, Weakly he could barely hear Rurus voice, everything sounding muffled. But upon seeing Ruru turn back to demon form he followed suit, not knowing the reason why, but Ruru must have said something....SHard 2.jpg Shard was near his breaking points thought wise. He wanted to curl up and pretend this day never happened... but he couldn't... not while there was a chance this wasn't a nightmare or trick, not while there was a second chance for a life with Zuzu.....

Shade The Grim

Things were going smoothly until something was said. A barb that dug itself into his side and twisted...be the girls mentor? He couldn't, it wasn't possible. He was long beyond heroics, he saw the flaw of it all, it's failings and it's missteps. What he did now was the correct path. Attention going back to Jupiter once the girls were gone he tilted his head a bit when she made a comment about warding against him as well. "You're welcome to try. If you're the first one to do it, I'll buy you a gift basket. But...take comfort in the fact there will never be another like me. There were...many variables that boiled up to this point." He paused for a moment, as if deep in thought. "Yes...one conversation of many I will have to have. I do not know how I'll tell her. If she'll still view me as the same when she knows. I can take care of them, I can love them, I can bring them back....but that conversation is one I'm worried for."

He slowly stood up, 'dusting' himself off despite it really doing nothing, given the entire outfit was his very being. "Make no mistake...you are not coming to fight him. You are coming along for Jenny. I don't want him using her against me as a shield or a weapon...I also don't want her to have to see what I'm going to do. When I get ahold of him....every bone in his body will be shattered. I will rip him limb from limb, and paint a Picasso with his lifeblood. It is one thing to raise my family from the dead...but to masquerade them as your own....to do what he's done...." Slowly the mask he wore transitioned into something else, a look of terrible glee and sinister intent, a large smile carved into it, and 'happy' eyes adjusting. "I'll let him live, for now. But once he's served his purpose, once every ounce of use is dragged from his sorry excuse for existence....he will experience a fate far worse than any death. Besides, I had to make a deal to get this far. He really has to die now, and I'm happy to oblige. No matter where we put him for information, no matter how we drag it out of him, he'll die. And I'll be the one to make it happen. Now then...we should get going." The mask reset to its blank expression, previous glee gone from it. Walking over to Jupiter he grabbed her hand and pulled her against him, his form swallowing her whole before he dropped into the ground and they were off like a shot, heading off for a confrontation.

She pursed her lips further, looking at Ruru's now demon form. She darted her eyes up to look at Shard, then back to Ruru, "I think I broke Shard..."

There was nothing left to say about that. Maybe he needed time to process like she did? Mm... food sounded good. Zuzu reached out and gently grabbed Ruru's horn without a word. She held her hand there for a long moment before making up her mind and walking forward, wrapping her arms around Ruru's shoulders. "I'm sorry I don't remember anything right now. I think I'd be a lot bigger normally, but this place doesn't look like it's built for demons... so maybe it's better I'm small right now," she said, voice sad, "I can feel that you're strong. If I'm your mom... then... I... I'm sorry I can't be a good mom right now. Between me and who... must be your dad... you must be really strong and really cool."

"...I'd really like a sandwich," she added after a long moment. Zuzu then observed the small creature in the pouch and decided that it looked soft and cute and like the best thing to hug right now. She climbed into the pouch with the creature and snuggled up to it, trying to bury her overthinking and half-panicked thoughts into its fur.

Aia gently laid the woman onto the ground before turning her attention to the crying boy. Gently she cradled him in her arms as she sat down on her knees. Her tongue gentle sticking out of her mouth as she stared him down with curiosity. Slowly Aia started to lick the blood that was on his face. Not because she was hungry but so it didn’t get into his eyes and so the wound was more visible. Her tongue was smooth and gentle as it glides over his cheeks, careful to avoid any cuts as she cleaned him up as best she could while comforting the child.

Aia was so focused on the little boy she didn’t hear the ambulance nor her mother panicking at the sight of the government coming to help. All she was focused on was tending to the child as best she could. Her tail wrapped around and gently cooled around the child’s lower half like a thick warm blanket for him.

Yami snuggled into the couch as she was set down and relaxed a little. When Ruru handed her the Parfait her smile grew wide with excitement as she squirmed around happily. Holding it with both hands she admired its look while Ruru and the other lady talked. Yami didn’t notice when the axe man came back with another little girl. She opened her mouth wide with a cute Ahhhhhh and was about to take a big bite of the treat till she noticed Ruru coming for her. Yami’s attention immediately went to Ruru with a bright smile as she squealed with delight. Reaching for her with her second pair of arms while holding the Parfait with her other set. Clearly excited begging belief to be held by Ruru once again she snuggled into the bag for her ride. A big happy grin on her face. Yami reserved time not eat yet, she didn’t want to spill it while Ruru moved. When they got into the attic she found it to be the best opportunity and opened wide to take a bite before she felt something hug her. Freezing in place Yami looked over to see the little girl snuggling into her after climbing into the bag. It was a bit of a pain because she was trying to eat her Parfait and the bigger girl was holding onto her rather tightly in the small pouch making Yami squirm a little. But eventually she was able to get into a good position. Sitting on the little girls lap facing outwards Yami smiled and finally took a bite of the Parfait with a happy smile.

Immediately Ruru would feel it, the voice returned to her head as the flood of power rushed through Ruru’s veins. “The gift has been given, the bond complete. Love it and it will give you power forever. Enjoy.” It echoed in Ruru’s head as the boost in energy rushed over her like lightning.Every inch of Ruru’s body would tingle with the rush of new power, her body would shake as the strength flowed into Ruru.

Shard and Ruru
devils tale bakery

SHard 2.jpgRuru smiled happily as Zuzu walked up to her and priased her. She smiled even wider when she hopped in the pouch. But she turned her attention to shard who stood up. "Seiva should know, this is probably Seivas fault." he thought to himself as he moved like clock work, stumbling over to one of the many crates in the attic and punching his hand through, it was the crate her grabbed a holy arrow from before. pulling a few holy arrows out ignoring the fact they were burning the hand. he looked up "i need to go take a breath of fresh air" he spoke before casting grand dislocation and dissappearing. Shard couldn't think straight right now. His mind was desperate for answers, and Seiva had unfortunately become his minds scapegoat. Appearing within an alley way he slowly walked forward. And saw Seiva chatting with another demon. With no hesitation he loaded one of the holy arrows into his bow, and drew back the string, letting go launching the holy arrow straight at Seivas head. His eyes were swirling as he mumbled incoherently. Even if someone could read minds and looked into shards, all they would see in a maelstrom of traumatic memories and screaming. Shard was more broken then he was before now. His mind still unable to accept the reality of Zuzu being alive.

Ruru 2.jpgRuru looked worried as she saw shard teleport away but looked down to see Yami being hugged by Zuzu and smiled. Before the first bite was took and her eyes went wide in pain. Barely managing to stay standing she dug her fangs into her own town to withhold her screams. Eye twitching rapidly she desperately tried to cast a pain numbing spell. She was awful at magic, The most she could do was a few battle spells such as Silence, disguise, Minor dislocation and pain numb. But the pain she felt was much to strong for such a weak spell. "Zuzu...don't worry... I'm okay" she said with a small smile finally hearing the voice in her head. And in truth... she felt amazing, even with the pain in her body, she never felt such a rush of feeling of power like this in her life. Was this the contract she made? .....Was she the master? or was this symbiotic, all Ruru could process was that she needed to continue this contract... this power... it was addictive! "lets head downstairs" she chimed walking down the attic stairs back to Nadia. "Nadia.... I know this may be strange.... But this is my mom... Zuzulian... and she wants a sandwich... can you go make one really quick?" she asked politely sitting down on the couch.

Seiva
The demon she was chatting with poofed as soon as the other man had appeared, and since her back was to him, that was before she even recognized that someone had appeared, let alone who it was. The arrow was loosed and she turned blindingly fast. Even so, she got a nice line cut into her cheek as she turned that burnt as it went. Her eyes flashed with deep anger, shadows climbing up her arms and dripping off her fingertips. Even though she was bleeding, not the best thing with Shard, she had to calm herself down a realize that he wasn't okay. It was, indeed, Shard. This depressed heap of flesh wouldn't do this for no reason. Something was desperately wrong.

"Shardaken what the fuck!?" she shouted, moving up to him like a flash, she was incredibly fast, though when she got to him she only gripped his cheeks, "What the hell is wrong with you, Shard? What happened, you son of a bitch? You'd never attack me in your right mind, not seriously, and I really don't want to fight you. I told you before, I'm not gonna grant you death. You know that." She shook his head once in her hands and pulled away ever so slightly, "You better give me a good reason why you just gave me a nasty cut on my cheek. This isn't funny. Nadia is gonna freak out about it..."

She paused, the thought crossing her mind, "You- you didn't do anything to Nadia, right? I'd rip your eyes out your ass if you did. No. You'd never. You wouldn't. Just... what happened? Did something happen to Rurulian? Do you need help?"

Nadia and Zuzu
Nadia had to politely cough because she nearly spit out some water because of what Ruru just brought down the stairs. This was... troubling indeed. “I... I’m sorry, did I hear you correctly?” She asked, hurrying up to her where she was seated on the couch. She looked like she was in a bit of pain, but there in her bag was that fluffy creature and now... a miniature Zuzulian. She paused for a long moment, staring at it and trying to think of what Shard did to make this come about, “I... see. Absolutely. Let me do that. A sandwich.”

Without moving, two sandwiches appeared in her hands each on a plate. She had simply teleported the ingredients in order, but she hadn’t taken her eyes off of Ruru and that pouch. She gave the sandwich to Zuzu in the strange pouch and set the other one nearby in case Ruru or Yami wanted it.

Zuzu was happy to take it after she looked at Nadia for a long moment. She recognized her, sort of. Did Shardaken bring her back? She doubted it... he looked more surprised than she was, somehow. Something about ignorance being bliss, she guessed. For now, either way, all she could do was listen... and sort of eye that ice cream thing enviously. If she stole it would the fluffy thing bite her? Probably. For now, sandwich. Later, a long internal debate about whether it was worth it to get bitten for a bite of that cold treat.

Nadia let out a long sigh and clasped her hands together, doing her best to remain calm and in control of the situation, “Right... this is an odd turn of events. I can only assume this is what Shard brought back... which, where is he, by the by? And is this little one alright? She died in a rather unpleasant way. Is there any remnant of the event? Any burns?” Zuzu looked visibly uncomfortable at the comment, and Nadia shook her head, "Sorry. First we need to give them time to acclimate, I suppose. Fretting over them would only freak them out, especially if she is, in some way, a child at the moment. Shard couldn't have done this. He looked for ways for centuries. He would have done anything to bring her back... so unless he found a reality-warping super-powerful deity and made a deal with them, I doubt it. He wouldn't even have anything to trade, even if that sort of being existed."

"No... this must be something else... If he ran off, I fear what he may be doing. He can't be in his right mind right now. Losing her broke him... and now she may be back. Even though we need to confirm that she is indeed real and here to stay - which she feels like herself, albeit smaller - that possibility alone would reopen old wounds like nothing else. I can only imagine it would completely overwhelm him. If he thinks Seiva or the other resurrected heroes have done this, perhaps he's looking to them for answers? Or... worse if he thinks this is a farce... then answers may not be his first goal."

"Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck!" the demon shouted, gripping Jenny's arm so tightly his knuckles went white, "This is your fault, you bitch. All of this is your fault. You should have stayed quiet, but no. I let you have a tiny bit of fun and you fuck it all over." He half-dragged her to the closet, then ripped the door open and off its hinges, tossing it aside without a thought. "Angela's gone now. I have an idea as to who took her. Your ex. Fun, isn't it? Bastard of a man wants to ruin our happy little family. I have some plans for him. Oh, such fun plans." He pet Jenny roughly, fingers splaying through her hair before he gripped its pink strands and pulled her head back.

"You're going to stay mine. Got it? I'm not done playing with you," he ordered, giving her a quick kiss under her jaw. She was stock-still, scared, in pain from how roughly he was treating her, but she said nothing, her mind in such a haze she didn't know how to respond even if she wanted to. The demon ripped her clothes off with one hand, keeping her hair balled up in his other so her head was back. He admired her curves for a moment before getting to work.

"I prepped for this, I did. I prepped for the bastard," he laughed, releasing her for a moment to grab a pot from the back of the closet. Opening the lid, the liquid inside was black as tar and stunk to high heaven. He dumped the whole container on her, and she screamed, half in surprise and half because it hurt like she was getting zapped with a live wire. The goop clung to her skin, her hair, and she stared at him like a kicked puppy.

"And you're still so sexy, even with that on you," he said with a malevolent grin, tossing the pot back inside, "This will make it so he can't move you about in his damned shadows... or any other teleport, for that matter. Do you know how hard this was to get? Just for how much shit you put me through having to make this, you don't get your clothes back on. You just get to stand like that and look all sad. Cute little slut." He grabbed her by the back of her neck and moved to the center of the living room. With a wave of his other hand, the contents of the room flung away from him to create a pseudo arena in the middle. "Do you think he still loves you? Do you think he's going to try to fix you? He has no idea. None. What I did to Angela. What I've done to you... oh all the things I love to do to you... He's got a mess on his hands, but I think I don't want to give this mess in my hands to him. No, I really don't."

A fathers rage, a husbands scorn
Shade and The Grim, one and the same

The travel was short and quick, his mind focused on one thing and one thing alone, to get his family back. The first sign of his arrival was the telltale blotch of darkness on the ground, from which he shot out of, unceremoniously 'spitting out' Jupiter next to him. Whatever he was expecting to see, it wasn't....this. His mind blanked out for a brief moment, replaced with white noise...and then everything went red. Jupiter, poor Jupiter, was subjected to an unholy noise, pure white noise that could only be described as pain. Pain for those who had to listen, pain for the source...a noise almost similar to what one may consider an enraged and wounded animal. The burst of noise lasted for about two seconds, two seconds too many.

He had to get Jenny away from him...but to do that, he had to get through this man...no, this pathetic worm. He'd be all to happy to do that. "You...what have you done to her? The gall of you....to raise my family from the dead. To masquerade them as your own. To hold them captive, to defile my wife....You're pathetic. I will enjoy skinning you like a fish, you waste of existence." As he spoke a hooked staff sprouted from his hand, and if it wasn't about to be used to cave someone's head in, it could have been mistaken for a fancy walking cane. He didn't bother to look at Jupiter, only speaking towards her, eyes still trained on the target of his fury. "Remember what I asked of you." He took a moment to notice that they were in some sort of arena, the hooked edge of the staff going into the ground to tear a gash into it. "Do you not understand the concept of decoration, or did you intentionally make an arena for me to leave your body?"

shield2.jpgDarren
He stuck his tongue out at her about looking like a little gentleman, "My parents taught me that dressing well is important for any interaction. It makes people like you more and makes them easier to deal with... and I'm not a little puppy so stop it!" Darren let out a small huff and pushed Natalie a little, "I swear, I smile and you think it's the cutest thing." After they paid for the clothes and were able to shove them into a big shopping bag, he was much more at ease and generally happy. He had new clothes! He didn't have to steal them! Plus they were cute clothes and they'd get to go have food and today was good.

"I soooo don't want to cut my hair," he said, despite the comment having been so long ago, "Do you even have something you can cut it with? Cuz steel won't do the trick. And then on top of that, who do you know of that could weave it? I maybe know like one or two villains, but they're also villains, and crazy. Better would be to take the hair and make a structure out of the altered cells, cuz that could really make the most out of less material... but that comes to the issue again of finding something that can do that. Bombs don't cut my hair. I've never found acid that can either. It's always been a pain. My mother used to make me keep my hair no longer than my shoulders, but she had specially made scissors for the job."

He paused, looking around, "Uhh... so, are we going to a hardware store next or what?"

Despite the pain and the fact his ears were literally bleeding and ringing a lot, the demon gave Shade a crazed smile and tugged Jenny closer, gripping one of her messy tits into the palm of his hand. "Sounds like fun," he purred, "It's too bad you weren't man enough to raise them yourself. If only you could hear how many times little Angela screamed and cried for her Poppa. I had to slap her more than once to get her to stop calling out to you. After all, it's bad form to call for your past family, when I was her new family."

"I wanted to leave us room for the fun," he explained, hand sliding down Jenny's chest to her belly, still gripping her to him, "You're still making a mess even with all this extra room. Darling do you see how rude your ex is?" The demon gripped her jaw with his other hand and forced her to look up at Shade. At this point, she was crying, tears making little rivers down her cheeks clear of the liquid. She stared into him like she was staring into the void, a haunting look.

"She loves me so dearly you know, after all, how wouldn't she when I brought her back. Those worthless little mafia men or whatever they called their group. They killed the two of them so nasty, but lucky for me they offered the two of these fine specimens up for grabs to get me to stop torturing them in Hell. Now, that doesn't normally give me such swing, such access... but after I saw this pretty little face and the girl... mm... Now now, you don't want to get her involved in this, do you? You hurt me this close to her, you don't know what that'd do! You might get her hurt in the mix," he teased, the hand on her jaw sliding down to cup around her throat.

All the while, Jupiter was slowly moving her position to get behind him. At the moment, there wasn't a good opening, but she was looking for one.

She grinned, excited, and generally just a happy camper right now. "No no! It's not like super glamorous or anything, but I get to spend time with an Uncle I thought was dead! This is super cool, no matter what we're doing, since I get to spend it with you!" she chimed, watching his own little lawnmowers and hers. She was proud of the little things, and they weren't too hard to make either. Super awesome! "Noted though, don't let them go out super far. I've never tried to have them so far away... erm... wait. Actually I guess I have. I left one on at home one day when I was at school. It was still there when I came back, but it's not like it was actively doing anything, so I dunno. It'd be really unpleasant to have one get destroyed though. I've had mom test that before and it huuuurt. Super distracting too. So yeah. Energy backlash like you said would be gross."

"So... protection field, huh?" she said, scooting up to him as he settled his hand on the doorknob and began to turn, "Main festivities indeed, but now I'm curious what's past that ten-mile mark. Does it keep going and going?" Chrysie asked the question, but her attention was on that door. With how weird her uncle sounded, and how weird this outside was so far, the inside was gonna be so cool, she could just feel it!

Natalie grinned a bit, reaching out to pinch his cheek a bit. "Fine, not a puppy. Do you prefer kittens or little tortoises?" She withdrew her hand, stifling a laugh. "You can dress up nice if you want, but I'm sticking to my own attire. I don't mind if I get looks, makes me know people notice." She paused for a moment, a wide grin painting her features. "Because it is the cutest thing. It's a lot better than you looking mopey. You look better with a smile, love." After buying their clothes, Natalie was the one who offered to carry the shopping bag, walking around with her companion.

"I get it, cutting hair sucks. But if you're doing hero work, you'll probably burn through your clothes a lot if you're in constant action with me. You'd save money by being creative and using your hair fiber for outfits. As for cutting it...I dunno, I probably could. I can be very creative, and I have a technique that is generally able to cut through anything...probably not you, but as you said, your hair is weaker. If some damn specialty made scissors could do it, so can I. As for someone who could do something like that...I don't know. Isn't that Machina miss I put in an order for you super smart or the likes?" She paused, grabbing his arm and starting to lead him forward. "Not hardware store, going to get lunch at the food court."

Shade and The Grim, two sides of the same coin

Every second he had to listen to this man speak, he could only imagine how much easier it would be if he just...couldn't speak. Wire his jaw shut or something, his voice was grating to him, and every word was insulting, whether he meant it to be or not. Seeing him grope jenny, the casual insult, he had to keep himself in control, find an opening. "New Family? Please, you couldn't raise a weed even if you tried. Put a pig in a suit, and you've changed nothing...still a pig, still swine to the slaughter." He had slapped his daughter...he'd remember that.

"I appreciate you making room...I like to be creative when I work. But I haven't made a mess, not yet." The way she cried...the way she looked at him...it hurt, it hurt so much. But he'd use that pain, funnel it into his rage, blend it together into a finer fuel for himself. He'd leave him alive....but he never said how alive. "I'm sure she has strong feelings for you...though I don't think love is the right word. Though I suppose I am grateful for one thing...the fact you were torturing slime in hell. If it were any different, I'd compare notes with you. Which finger do you break first, for example?" He noticed Jupiter starting to sneak around...looking for an opening? Wait...he could provide that. A portion of himself stretched beneath the ground, looping beneath unseen before slipping right beneath the demon's foot. "Trust me...the only one who gets hurt here, will be you. Never again will harm befall this woman, of that, I guarantee." As soon as Jupiter had moved into a suitable position he tilted his head a bit, as if in thought. "I am curious....why? Why go through such extremes? Lust...or an attempt at love that you're obviously not good enough for." As soon as he said that the 'hole' opened beneath his foot, more than likely consuming it and bring him off balance.

Samantha clearly enjoyed the feeling of the woman’s hand on her chin and it showed as her tail started to wag happily. A drunken smirk on her lips as she giggled just a little. “Hate to break it to you darling but I will P-probably nots make home.” She said to Anabella with another drunken giggle. Her tail continued to wag happily as her cheeks flushed a little. Wanting Anabella to touch her or even possibly pet her Samantha slowly sat her chin back on the woman’s shoulder with a drunken grin.

Hearing her tell Samantha to talk about something she couldn’t help but let her lose lips speak. “Why do you’re eyes shift? I cants help but stare at them. There so botifil.” She mumbled happily to Anabella as her tail continued to swish back and forth in eagerness to feel the girl touch her again. It had been so long since she’d felt the gentle touch of a kind person. It was usually always people telling she was to drunk or needing to leave, or even assholes trying to feel her up. It had been years since someone had come to her in kindness and even longer since someone had graced her with head petting which she was dying for on the inside.

SHard 2.jpg

Without even attempting to dodge shard let himself get grabbed. slowly he tilted his head, she questioned him, acted like she was genuinly confused. But all this did was anger him more "you..... I was fine with your mocking and teases. This life wasn't worth much anyways.... but for you to mock her memory like this... and dare to feign ignorance. I submit my resignation permanent, as a final gift. I ask not for my life to be taken... But yours" he spoke coldly as his eyes were twitching some. He couldn't described the emotions he had in him right now, be it sadness or anger. All he could do was vent them at something or someone, and in his deranged mental state, he blamed seiva. The Seiva who had quietly watched him suffer through the years, offer support, The seiva who had pulled him from the mere infantry and elected to make him a general. All in all Shard owed very much to Seiva, but that didnt matter now.

The blood on Seivas cheek was already crystallizing as it dug into her skin. Shard simply muttered lower then seiva could hear and a spear of dark fire appeared behind shard launching, impaling shard through the back of his stomach and straight through towards Seivas stomach. This was shards fighting style, the body itself is a disposable weapon, no cost is too great for the enemies death. "I searched for centuries, delved into magic no mortal should ever touch, and you... You revive her without telling me!? and drop her in the middle of LA while you know there are angels about!? TELL ME WHY I SHOULDN'T DRAG YOU TO HELL AND KILL US BOTH RIGHT NOW!" he yelled as his eyes glowed red blood spewing from his mouth. while Seiva was still reacting to the darkfire spear he dropped his bow, stabbing both of his hands into his chests and snapping hies ribs ripping them out, Screaming in pain as the blood and gore around them condensed and crystallized into two curved daggers. Shard was ready to fight, and at this rate, Seiva would need to knock him out at least.

Fucking blood mages... It seemed like fighting was the only option right now. That was until he mentioned all the spells and whatnot and the information clicked into place. A wave of shadow draped across her stomach in response to the spear, consuming it like butter in a fire. She didn't take her eyes off his, but her hands dropped to her sides. She was alive? Why hadn't Nadia said anything? Was she unable to? Did this JUST happen now? She didn't care about his rib blades, she was used to seeing him hurt himself, and quite frankly, she was the one who taught her generals how to fight.

"SHARD," she shouted, using her well-honed commander voice now, "This is serious so cut your shit. I did not resurrect her. If I could, I certainly wouldn't have dropped her in Los Angeles of all places. I looked for ways to do it, and I found none, same as you. Even with all my connections, I found none. There was nothing left, Shardaken. She couldn't be resurrected like that. If she's back, then something way bigger than either of us did it and I'm scared for her. Is she okay? Is she injured?" Her shadows writhed around her arms, her stress showing through them. She was one of her best fighters, and more than that she considered her a friend. She didn't doubt she was really herself, since if anyone knew it would be Shardaken.

She backed off from Shard, hands rubbing her face as she began to pace the alleyway, "Fucking hell. Why now? What's the significance? Other people have been raised recently too, people no one could before. What if someone plans to use her!?" Her shadows spiked as she balled her hands into fists at the thought, "If anyone plans to use her for something they're going to feel pain that hasn't even been invented yet. Are there any remnants of the fire on her? Is her memory intact?" She paused, brow furrowing as she stared daggers at him, "...Shard why are you here and not with her? Trying to fight me... gods and demons alive, Shard. What if she's hurt or scared? What if she walks out into traffic or something? She's been dead so long! She might try to fight a goddamned semi-truck or something! Or worse, she could get into the mix with villains! If she made herself known, what if the angels know about her? They can't get ahold of her. Not again. Leaving her alone is irresponsible until we know more. Take me to her."

Right... His fist hung in the air for a moment before he dropped it and forced a smile to his face. This boy would need a different sort of care. He had seen his type before - could peg it immediately just from the tone. He cleared his throat and explained, "I am not the angel, my boy. I am Father Anderson. I'm sorry for waking you, but I wanted to see if you'd like to go on a bit of a joyride with me. I have a rather fast sportscar, and I don't mind offering you the keys for a bit of a ride around the mountain roads to the north. Then after that, I was going to offer you a shopping trip. My treat. I know it's stressful to deal with all this angel and demon stuff, so it's the least I could do for a fellow prophet. I was in a similar situation as you, and I know I certainly would have appreciated a bit of support - financially and otherwise - as well as a bit of access to fun." He leaned in slightly to speak in a hushed tone, though undoubtedly Zaphkiel could hear him, "Angels can be a bit stuffy, yes? They're too concerned with the morality of actions, and not nearly concerned enough about whether or not something you're doing is so boring you want to stick your head in a fryer."

He backed up into the main room and pulled out his phone, "Let's see... I think I can spare $220... no... you probably need more than that. How does $500 for a shopping trip with me sound?"

Of course, he hadn't planned on any of this. No, he was shifting things on the fly and hoping desperately that he didn't offend the angel too much. If he had a moment in private with her, he would explain, but the boy was his primary concern. He wanted to get the boy on his side, and that meant a bit of manipulation. You had to win over a wild animal with treats first before they began to let you pet them.

It went quickly, once an opening was made. Jupiter saw her opportunity and took it, darting forward as the man lost his footing and slipped into the sudden hole Shade had created. It became suddenly apparent that she couldn't simply teleport out, so she instead shoved the woman behind her as she moved backwards away from the demon. Jenny said nothing the whole time, but as soon as Shade had the man's attention again, she could focus on the woman. She turned to her and grabbed the nearest cloth, be it drape or blanket, to start wiping the goop off of her. "It's gonna be alright Jenny, we're here to help you," Jupiter said, but it was like working with a doll. The woman said nothing, and only looked back at Shade whilst crying silently.

"You bitch!" he growled, attention torn as he pulled his foot back and tensed his hands. Claws appeared as though they were always there, and he settled on Shade for now. "I'm gonna tear you limb from limb so I can keep my little prize. Some fuckin' hero sure as hell isn't gonna stop me. You've got a sweet dame. Nice body. Easy to control. Hah. Even if you win this fight you're still gonna be lost as all fuckin' hell with your little bitches. I just wish I could stick around to watch you s u f f e r."

As soon as the goop was off, or off as much as she could, really she'd need a good shower, Jupiter sliced her finger ever so slightly and made some of her clothes appear on the woman. "There we go Jenny, much better, right? You're alright, sweetheart. Just try to calm down. You don't need to cry anymore."

He rolled his eyes, rubbing his cheek, "Ugh puppy is better than those options. And good! Stick to your own attire. If you start to copy me I'd be concerned you have a fever." He did wonder a little if she ever did get a fever or anything like that, or if the angel just kinda... punched the sick out. He still grumbled at the thought of cutting his hair, but eventually sighed as they came into the food court, "I guess it'd be okay... Not too short though. I like my hair long. Like... shoulder length, maybe."

Darren got himself a gyro and fries, as well as a coffee from Superbucks, then sat down at a table and ate. He thoroughly enjoyed the food, but the... looks he was getting were hard to ignore. There were three security guards not far off trying their best to look like they weren't trying to bore a hole in his head, but they were failing miserably. Even so, he tried to ignore them. Like Natalie said, he was allowed to be here now, especially as long as he was with her.

"Funny enough, cutting my hair might help lessen some attention on me," he mused, pouring tzatziki on his gyro, "So how's your food? Good, I hope. Superbucks is... mediocre as far as coffee goes, but it's palatable."

A reserved smile crossed her lips as she reached out, leather glove cupping the woman's chin in an attempt to set her upright once again. "Certainly an affectionate sort of drinker, aren't we Miss? Do try to sit upright. I don't mind if you wish to lean on my shoulder, but don't slouch so." She gave a small sigh, raising her eyebrow. "Won't be able to make it home? I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you can't stay here forever, especially inebriated. It wouldn't be safe, let alone proper." She turned silent in thought, trying to think of the best approach to this situation. She was never a drinker herself, nor was her husband....how did one handle a drunk?

The question offered up to her snapped her back to reality. Why did her eyes shift? An excellent question, and one she wasn't sure the correct answer was fitting for. It wasn't correct to tell lies, so unladylike. But perhaps a half-truth would be excusable? "I suffered a traumatic experience a few years ago. My eyes suffered for it, as you can see. My natural color is blue, but they continue to shift. There is no fix for it." She glanced over the woman's shoulder towards her tail, stifling the urge to give a laugh. "Please, your flattery is misplaced, I'm afraid." She paused for a moment, slowly withdrawing her gloved hand from the woman's chin. "Now then, could you tell me a bit about yourself? As I said, I'm not too interesting, myself."

Sweet, Sweet Vengeance
Shade and The Grim, about to tear someone a new one

Jenny was safe, good. Now he had nothing standing between him and his target. A jagged, predatory smile crossed his face, his mask getting the 'joyful' eyes again. "Tear me limb from limb? You won't be the first to try, nor will you be the last. Now...do me a favor, won't you? STOP TALKING ABOUT MY WIFE!" Clutching his weapon he dashed forward, hooked staff going to his right to feign a swing towards the demon's torso. A distraction, a false swing, the real attack wasn't even a weapon in the traditional sense. Spikes shot out from his body at random, torso or arms specifically, intent on impaling the demons joints. "You find it amusing to torment and to use others to suit your needs. But you are still just a bug. A pathetic worm that roots through the mud...no, you are less than a worm to me. You are below dust....you are an insignificant variable, one millionth of a millionth of a percentile. And I will take great joy in removing this variable."

He wanted to kill him, spread him like ashes upon a hilltop. Make him regret ever crawling out of hell...but that would have to wait. He needed to make sure they knew everything, everything. Whatever he had to do for the safety of his girls, he'd do it. If that meant sending this demon to hell, only to drag him out by the back of the neck, and repeat the process a thousand times. It might even be fun! Like a game of whack a mole!
