Kite
She stuck her tongue out at her dad. This was one instance where acting like a kid was actually the correct action. She could be cute if she wanted to. Once the door opened, she squeeeeeed at the person that opened it, flapping her hands wildly and jumping up and down all excited-like. She slightly tucked behind her dad, though, as though she was a little nervous.

The man, who lived up to his name as he was dressed in a suit and tie, sans the jacket and with a vest instead, stared at Casey for a long moment, before letting out a long sigh. "How'd you even get past the gate?" he asked, tired, "Did someone just leave it open again? Come on in, I suppose. You're already here. Don't go running off, though. Just stay in the kitchen/dining room and living room sort of area, yeah? Most people here right now are getting ready for work."

He stepped aside, and finally looked at Kite, "So what're your names? Are you locals?"

Vice
Well, that put a damper on her fun... Vice couldn't ignore what he was muttering that whole time, even if she wanted to. So, by the end of it, she was sniffling and crying. She was trying to make her tears stop, but they just refused to. He hated her. He hated everything about her. It was just going to be that same thing as always where everything was her fault or they were scared or angry at her. She stammered at his question, trying to make her voice even and failing miserably, "Y... yeah, they... um... they have some of those, I think... It... it should be over here..."

She motioned towards a big statue they had erected of just such a thing. "S... sorry," she muttered, "I know I'm just a monster... no matter what I do it's never gonna be enough... never gonna be good enough... even if I changed the whole world I'd still be a failure."

Agas, Firstborn of Firstborn

A cruel chuckle escaped the spirit, the chain around Tracy's throat tightening just a bit. "Does the need to talk back run in your family? An absolute need to be defiant? How cute. Sin? Subjective? It's an absolute truth, a fact of life, a perversion upon every human and sentient race. Unavoidable, absolute, cruel. It'd be impossible to keep you absolutely pure...so the goal would be to minimize it. If you don't know what laws are, I'm sure Natalie would be more than willing to give you lessons. That includes sins as well. Generally, you're right. I don't tend to have an issue with those with a clean soul. Unfortunately, from my understanding, as soon as you're out of my line of sight, you're going to ruin that. Like a petulant child who seeks nothing more than their own self-gain. And as I said...I need you, unfortunately. So you'll be sticking around, and doing as needed. And if you truly don't want to die? Continue to be of use to me. Because I don't care if the little pup begs and pleads. I will be all to happy to kill you again. So maybe your fear of death will be a good enough motivator to behave. Do we have an understanding? Or do I need to give you an example?"

She raised her free hand at her side, the hand erupting in a small bonfire of green flame that licked at the air, the skeleton staring down Tracy. "The choice is yours. Honestly, maybe it'd be fun just to give you a taste? What do you think?"

Mia.pngMia
Mia bounced happily as she hugged her sister, "Yaaaay! That's all I wanted. A cool human-looking body. That way we get looked at and stopped less often. Plus I can show you tooooons of food! And candy. Candy is amazing. Oh and-" Mia was on a whole tirade about food now, and she could chat someone's ear off about the wonders of potatoes or cheese or salt with ease.

Robert answered impressively quickly, as he always tended to - if he didn't, he was either asleep, engrossed in a new project, or kidnapped. He sent her a text instead of an email back, "Already have a body mostly built for you that looks close to that. I'll do some tweaks to it and get it finished as quick as can be. Mia must have used some puppy-dog eyes, huh? You're such a softie for her, but hey, so am I. I know this is probably not gonna be something you stick with, but don't be afraid to ask me to tweak things you find you don't like about it. Personally, though, I think the imaging you sent matches your sister so well."

A couple of minutes passed, and he sent another text, "Hey... Ariah? Hun, can I ask you to look someone up for me? I got asked out on a date... again. Last few times were, unsurprisingly, out for my knowledge, plans, you guys, or money... as you know. So... can you take a look into her for me too? I know if I didn't ask you to do it, you'd end up doing it anyway as soon as you found out. Might as well bite the bullet now. I don't have high hopes for this one, but hey, I'd feel rude to give the woman a no without good reason to. I've attached her details. You search faster than I can."

milk.jpgMilk
Milk squeaked a little huff of surprise as she was bonked on the top of the head. It didn't hurt, she hardly even felt it, but she didn't really expect it. She was left rubbing the spot on her head with a sort of curious quality to it as Velocity ran off and returned. She was fast.

Elementa was left wondering what the fuck just happened, same as the protesters. It happened so fast that there was no time for her to process the movement. All that she saw happening was the weird guy... supposedly shooting his gun? There was a bang, but he was gone. She looked up at the roof but decided to focus on calming down the crowd - who were now freaked out. Damned idiot. How did people like that even GET a gun?

Milk tilted her head at the new appearance of the man, feeling a bit bolder due to his stupidity with the crowd, "If you aren't a hero, then why are you here? Killing is a sin, you know. Falling bullets can kill easily. M... Velocity? Does he need to be arrested or whatever your laws dictate?"

Selene sighed and leaned into his hand without realizing it, closing her eyes for a moment, "I'll be ok. The voice is just... annoying right now. Quiet like this can be hard. There isn't as much to distract me." She looked at the picture of her mother and started to tear up again. She began to cry silently, not some sort of wail or sob, just quiet tears. "I'm... I'm sorry... I... I really want to meet her. You say you haven't earned my trust or closeness or whatever, and yeah you've missed a lot... but I just want a family. I don't care that I don't know you well yet. I'll get to know you. I'm just happy I have a mom and dad at all..."

She sniffled and looked up at the screen, "We should find her. You're really smart, right? And I... I dunno. I'm... scrappy? We can find her if we really try to, I bet. We could find her and run away. Or... or we could find her and make them be okay with it! We aren't slaves or something. It's wrong."

That whole exercise had taken far more time than she'd have truthfully liked. All the same, she had garnered some information that affirmed her belief that Alexandria may be of cooperative mindset as time went on...and perhaps her new friend as well. A pistol and holster were strapped to her hip in open carry, perfectly within the terms and laws of the state...and as was typical, put in her mouth was a tootsie pop which she rolled around thoughtfully. "I do want to apologize for putting you on the spot like that, Dietrich. I took no pleasure in it. I hope you know that you are more than glorified eye candy for me, however. You are my companion and my friend." She glanced at her phone one more time, the money having been transferred to Miss Norman as payment none too long ago. "We're visiting a friend of ours, perhaps you remember her?" The area of the city they were in was rather upscale and beautiful, definitely 'old rich money' type area. Walking up to one of the front doors she lowered her voice softly. "She is one of the few people I am wary of more so than others. I've taken several liberties to entertain her. She has an uncomfortable ability to gather information...so I've had to do much to make sure she never reveals anything she may learn in regards to us." She knocked on the door, hands folding behind her back. "If she asks you to play a video game or whatever it is? Do it. This is not a request."

As they walked past the Gate they could hear the scurrying about of insects and the light buzzing of wasps and bees through the air. Before they could even open the door. It slowly creaked open. Showing bugs everywhere through the house. They slowly dispersed away from the main hall. A large Goliath bird eater Tarantula with a bow on its abdomen walked up. Raising one leg and waving it at the two. before turning around. and crawling slowly up the stairs. It seems this was their escort through the bug covered mansion. They could see large cabinets of files as spiders bees and wasps walked about. Swarms of ants carrying papers to and fro. It seemed each of these folders were files the lady in question had on people. Constantly being updated by her army of controlled bugs. The special part of her entomancy aside from its ever wide range. Was it formed a sort of hive mind between all insects under her control. information between them was shared between all. And from this hive mind granted them increased intelligence. In one room. they could see large beetles and spiders pushing keys on a computer to type up reports. It was truly amazing if you took the time to observe how smoothly a random swarm of various arachnids and insects were working together to just do deskwork. Finally they came to a nice looking part of the mansion. as if only this area had been refurbished. The spider with a bow pointing at the door. As if giving them permission to enter the room of its master.

Carmen was seated in her seat, one leg crossed over the other as she sipped her tea slowly. The filth had been rounded up, well those that were still alive. She didn't have to clean up, though in truth she never had such a duty. That usually fell upon the poltergeist or another party. Another slow sip of tea, a frown crossing her face and a shiver running through her body as Magnus flew through her. She cast him a sideways glance, that cruel sense of humor making its appearance again. "Congratulations, Magnus. You are the only man who has ever been inside me. Enjoy yourself?" She slowly finished her tea after the quip, taking her sweet time before setting it down, pulling a wallet from her person, and leaving a tip on the table.

"Yes, I suppose there is yet more we can do today. There appears to be an outbreak of the undead at 415 2nd, I feel that is a suitable place for our abilities." Adjusting her gloves with a slight tug, and then a quick adjustment of her tie before she gave a small nod. "Well then, let us away." The woman started down the sidewalk, seeming to not mind the rain as it came down atop her, her pace brisk and even. It'd be nonsensical to take off in a dead-sprint to reach their destination, all she would accomplish would be to exhaust herself before she even arrived after all.

At the demand to stand the crusader rose back to his full height, towering over Anderson and staring down at him through his helm. He was to...wait? God himself was in need, and he was to wait?! The rage continued to seep from him, palpable in the air, but his voice still held its respectful town. "As you desire, father. The champions of the holy host shall be collected as you demand. I will require the knowledge of where I may find them, and they shall be brought here, willing or not." The crusader adjusted his cloak a bit as he raised a hand at his side, the spectral horse once again manifesting at his side. "Once I know where to begin my search, I shall away."

War and Melita
The concept glanced at Chutes, offering a small shrug before giving a small headpat. "'Such a butt'? Really? That's the best you can offer me? So disheartening and dull. What's your way to screw with me then? Turn into a dog of some kind so I do nothing but pet you for a time? How horrific, truly." War's tone was its usual neutral, but there was the distinct feeling that Chutes 'threat' had been more of a sort of joke to her. Though at the mention he'd help she raised an eyebrow, just a bit. "Actually helping people now, Chutes? Maybe you can teach an 'old' dog new tricks."

Melita offered a small nod to her patron, freezing up halfway through when the mention of the rogue reaper was made. Silence was all that could be offered from her, a drop in temperature near her form an indication that she wasn't overly thrilled by such a concept. "Of course, Lady Death. If you shall point me in his direction, he will be handled appropriately." She finally lifted her head once again, attention turning to Chutes. "I would request you help me discover how the Occard Alliance is resurrecting long-dormant souls. And, perhaps more specifically, who is doing so. Once this is discovered, they can be suitably culled from the herd."

The Arch-Demonlord stared up at the annoying bug, that shark tooth grin placing itself on his face again. "I've enjoyed testing the waters. But if he wants me to fight like real, perhaps just a taste is suitable for him, Seiva..I think I'd like one as well." The demon's eyes turned a baleful red as if alit by magma. Once again he kicked off...though so much faster than before, as if he had outright teleported...right into the face of his opponent. "Hello, little fly." Instead of swinging his weapons, he lashed out, jagged teeth burying into the males shoulder, tearing through flesh and crunching bone with a painful crunch. The wonderful taste of blood coated his tongue, and much like a dog with a toy, he snapped his neck to the side and opened his jaws, sending the poor human tumbling from the ceiling as the demon simply hovered in place, a long prehensile tongue snaking from his jaws to lick the crimson ichor from his lips. "For a little fly, you have flavor. The taste of fear and misplaced confidence adds a certain taste that I enjoy. Do you still want me to fight 'like I mean it'?" The tongue snaked back into his mouth, his eyes still that baleful red as he landed in a three-point landing, the room shaking in protest as the ground cracked on his impact, the demon lord standing upright and cracking his neck. "Because if you do, I can stop having fun and truly fight you."

Tactician
Hey God, it's me again. I'm asking for the strength to not blow my brains out with this damn voice. Appreciate it.

He gave a nervous chuckle, rubbing the back of his head. "Mighty sorry, sir. The gate was open, I'm afraid. I'm sorry we just waltzed right in." As Kite stepped behind him he reached behind, gently nudging her forward as a dad would as encouragement. "Oh yea, no problem! We'll stay wherever you put us. I really appreciate this, but I think she does even more so. I'm Timothy Hunter, and this is my pride and joy, Steph. We're not locals I'm afraid, we're from Glendale. But like I said, birthday trip." Sorry for answering for her, but she can be a bit shy at first. She'll warm up though, don't you worry!" As the hero stepped aside he walked forward, a hand on Kite's back to gently lead her in. Don't have to do this long. Just grab something of value, stow it away, and then get out. I have a mouth, and I must scream all the same.

It didn't take him long to realize she was crying, his eyes going wide. Shit, what just happened!? Why was she crying!? He hated seeing people cry, least of all a girl. Though, that was probably a universal male trait... All the same, it begat the urge to fix it immediately. Without warning, he stepped forward, pulling the poor girl close so her head rested against his chest as he hugged her. "Hey...hey. What's wrong? What happened?" As she started to apologize quite profusely his eyebrows knit in confusion. "What? You're not a monster, who told you that? You shouldn't be expected to change the whole world, there'd be no sense in it. Vice, what's wrong?" He seemed to be completely unaware of the fact he'd fallen into a muted rant, and all he could think of was cheering up the poor wolf-girl.

She gave a soft chuckle and shake of the head. "Yea, yea I guess. Honestly, food is the one thing I'm actually curious about. Not much else. I-" Her voice was drowned out by her excitable sister, who wound up going on an entire little discussion about food with no one but herself. Such a chatterbox she was, but she loved her all the same. At her fathers email she took a quick moment to 'read' it before formatting a response. "Dad, how am I not surprised you already had a bodied prepped that needed minor tweaking? All the same, sorry about those tweaks, I know some of that request was a bit unusual...Yea, yea I got the puppy eye treatment, and it finally worked. Only took about a hundred times, and I have been counting. I'm glad you agree you find it matching, I'd be quite sad if it didn't. I did everything I can to make what would be the most likely 'sister' form for her."

She tuned back in to Mia STILL talking about food, but her dad sent another email shortly after the first. Huh, what was that about? Again she reviewed it before jumping through an extensive logging of research, and replying again. "Yelena Hines. Nothing particularly amazing about her, actually very boring. Not big into science or mathematics, or technology for that matter. She's a clinician by trade. Looking at everything, there's nothing remarkable about he-...dad, you know she's forty-nine, right? A bit young for you...silver fox, much? I'm kidding. She seems fine. Have fun. If you need help, you know I'm always here for you."

He gave a soft him, the paternal instinct in him demanding he punch whatever that 'voice' was...in the jaw, and hard. At her crying his eyes widened, pulling her into an embrace so her head could rest against his chest, the steady beat of his heart audible just so. "Baby...sweet Selene. You'll meet her, I'm sure of it. I haven't a doubt in my mind. I don't know when, but you will...we'll both see her again." At her request to find her, and the suggestion they could run off he gave a sad smile, running his hand through her hair. "I wish it was that easy, sweetie...I really do. I'd love that more than anything in the world, to have my girls back." His attention turned back to the screen, the movie finally starting up. "We'll see her again...I'm sure of it."

She couldn't help it, the human was too amusing. His reaction caused the corners of her mouth to curl up into a genuine smile. Amusing, but dangerous. Such a shame, she liked playing with the dangerous ones but she had a goal today. Still, when he called out to her Mashu turned. Her eyes widened, smile gone. Is that a fucking grenade!? This one really was crazy! Turning her head back around to watch where she was going, the demon pushed herself to fly faster. Who knew how far that thing's range was? From what she's seen since returning to Earth, many things had improved; weapons especially. Mashu wanted as much distance between her and that thing as possible.

Wincing as light erupted behind, she was blinded for a few seconds which caused her to slow. Furiously rubbing her eyes, she growled as she picked up her pace once again. Good thing I didn't look at it. Even so, spots danced in her vision for longer than she liked. Whatever that was, it was powerful enough to blind her even when she wasn't looking in its direction. She took a deep breath in, waited, and then released. Alright, let's play. Turning towards her opponent, Mashu grinned as she lit the path in front of him ablaze. She wasn't quite sure if her last attack actually hurt him or if he was just being dramatic, but in case it did this would hopefully slow him down. Then again, there was also a chance he would go careening into the flames willingly. Now that would be entertaining. Maybe she'd accidentally set off on of his bomb with the heat.

Nexus was absolutely pissed, but kept his cool under the circumstances. First his snacks got shredded by unbelievable speeds, now his gun and the risk of being arrested. He then had a thought, something that may or may not get him in trouble. If he could hack things...Oh-ho-ho here comes the cash!

Wildcard
HEY! I'm not the one who'll be keeping you when I win, relax!

Wildcard hadn't heard the voice of his trusted sidekick, with whom he had conquered worlds and defeated tyrants with. That is to say, he was too busy singing 'Disco Inferno' at the top of his longs to even hear Zim. The sword would have outright missed him given Zim's shit aim, but Wildcard had changed his angel of approach to move around a large boulder in his way. "-BABY BURN! DISCO INFERN-OH GOD, FUCK!" He looked down at the sword that had impaled him, straight through his sternum, barely missing his spinal column. "ZIM! Hi buddy! It's good to see you again! Jesus, I haven't seen you in years! Not since I saw you on the last chopper out of nam! Oh god, there was so much blood Zim, how did you make it out!?" So distracted with his painful reunion with his 'war buddy' that he missed Mashu's field of fire, running straight into it. "GOD! FUCK! OW! HOT HOT HOT!" Despite the fact he wasn't a fan of the fire he continued his Olympic tier sprint, eyes going wide beneath his mask as he realized something...Zim lodging into his body had pulled a pin on a grenade. "Oh fuck me man."

Pulling the grenade off of himself and dropping it just in time he was sent hurdling into the air, a couple of fingers lost in the process. He looked at the victim of a hand, a scream of terror escaping him. "NO! LEFTY! WE HAD PLANS TONIGHT!" Tumbling onto the ground into a heap as his right arm fractured on impact he stumbled upright, grabbing the arm and jerking it to straighten it, his healing starting to knit the fucked up bone back together. "Zim, I don't know if I can use you without it being cheating, so you're just along for the ride! I'll touch you later, I promise! There'll be sweet talk and everything!" He started to charge forward again, taking a leap onto the next island as he drew a pair of kunai off his person. Bringing his hand back he flicked it forward, sending a trio towards Mashu with trained practice. "CATCH!" He sniffed the air as he continued sprinting, was he still on fire? He glanced down, eyes going wide once again. He was still on fire...and one of the utility satchels at his hips filled with desert eagle magazines super heating from demonic fire. "SHIT!-" The magazines started to go off, bullets going live from the fire, shooting into the ground, his thighs, just about everywhere. A pitiful girl like squeal escaped him as one round went off. "Not the jollies...." He started to slow down as he was assaulted with his own ammunition as it went live, but started to pick up the pace again after a bit.

She stared at this maniac in absolute silence, her jaw dropped beneath her helmet. "You're not even a hero!? Are you some suped up civilian or a merc or a vig or what!? What the heck where you thinking!? There were dozens of other things you could have done, we don't need the national guard! This is a peaceful protest, they're well within their rights!" Her voice never rose to a yell, but it was a firm hiss all the same, like a mother scolding a child. Looking over at Milk she sighed, rubbing the back of her head. "Technically, he should at least be brought in for questioning last I checked..." She offered a nod of appreciation to Axiom as he turned the gun into a crumbled mess, damn this dude was strong! Before she could further consider their next course of action, the lunatic was gone, sprinting off at...what was that? Sixty? Seventy? Looked like seventy miles per hour. "...I could run him down. Sorrow

Sorrow, as was typical, was currently latched onto Ivory, hidden beneath her clothes and in her epidermis, comfortable in her partner's' skin suit' as it were. "You weren't in any danger, so how can you be saved? You were hungry, you're getting food...I'm hungry as well, considering someone didn't let me enjoy a snack. Your stupid morals and ethics really do hamper us, you know. I enjoyed the days when you let me turn people inside out, or use them as sock puppets. That was fun...Unfortunately, it meant we had to cooperate with your kin. I'm bored, and I'm hungry. Reeces sounds good right now...or tossing someone through a window. Either would be fine. Tell me, Ivory, are we going to do anything else today? Or do we have to go home so you can 'study'?"

The sickeningly green flaming skull continued to stare at her before she started to speak again. "Smart little girl, aren't you? You don't know it yet, but you and the pup have a big role to play it seems, and he'll likely explain it to you. Or Natalie will. I don't care which does. Nice chat, kitten." The flames promptly died out on that obsidian toned skull, blood and muscle starting to regrow over the features of her face as her clothes started to 'burn' into Natalie's traditional attire. Over the newly knit blood and muscle came the flesh and hair, eyes seeming to roll from the back of the skull into place, the chain disappearing in a small burst of flame. After but a moment the gruesome transformation had finished up, the smiling brit in place of the malevolent spirit. "Seems like you had a productive chat, love." She reached over to the nightstand, grabbing handfuls of tissues and offering them to Tracy as she fished her phone out to send Darren a text that basically said 'want to come over to my room now?'.

Natalie pocketed her phone, walking over to the nearby mini-fridge and grabbing a sweet tea. "You want anything, love? Got plenty to drink. After bawling your eyes out like that, good to stay hydrated." Natalie was unnervingly upbeat and calm right now, despite the fact that Agas had given Tracy very real death threats, even if death was the least of her concerns when it came to Agas. "Probably going to have to take you clothes shopping too, I guess. Ah well, that's fine. I actually needed to grab something anyways."
