Hehe, seek you power? Then, mortal, take hold of this cursed blade - break apart these chains of destiny, and grind it all to dust! ... ah shit, is he already dead?
Cursed Sword Zel'teph

1606039284593.png

  • Name: Zael'teph

Alias/es: True Demomblade, Archdemon of Ravening, Hexed Souldrinker, Zael'teph the Desecrated

    Age: 20,127

    Alignment: Chaotic Evil

    Function: Weapon

    Type: Sword

    Ability Classification: Demonic

    Gender: Assumed male.

Sexual Orientation: Only gets a hard-on for massacre and slaughter.

Personality: Boisterous and extremely obnoxious for a sword, Zael'teph's ego is second only to his... No, nevermind, his ego is second to none. To those 'worthy' of wielding the blade, he almost makes it his job to tilt the wielder off the face of the planet. He will, however, betray any and every wielder the first chance opportunity allows - and god save the weaklings who dare place their hands upon the blade, for their life will be expunged straight from their body, and their corpse used like some perverse meat-puppet for the sentient blade.

Constantly expresses his... excessive love for murder.

Name: Magnus Kielstra
Age: ~400
Gender/Sex: Male
Sexuality: Women only, please, and lots of them!
Race: Poltergeist
Abilities:
- Poltergeist abilities
- Fire manipulation
- Basic spellwork
- Strong psychic abilities
Backstory: Been dead a while. Was powerful in life as a mage/psychic. Died in a horrible way he doesn’t like to talk about. Kinda went nuts, as most dead people do. Became a really strong poltergeist because of it, as most powerful dead people do. Ghosts don’t tend to have the best mental health situation. A kid made him snap out of it eventually, a few decades ago. He explains that the kid didn’t do anything special but he stared at him. He didn’t look afraid even though he was. Reality just sort of faded back into existence for him mentally after that. Started working with exorcists to in part atone for his time as a poltergeist, but mostly to make sure that no one else gets hurt, and that no one stays like he was. Despite his job now and his appreciation for his situation, he refuses to move on and “stay dead”.

Backstory:
Not much is really known about his past life since he is supposed to be Dead. While on a tour through Afghanistan in the late 1990s, An IED blew up under the vehicle he was in. Miraculously, His Head and spine had survived the explosion and a Private Unknown Company brought him back to life with the help of Life-Saving technology and some of the greatest minds known to man. In 2001, The Nexus suit, A.K.A Markus's new body, Was developed and given to him and named after him. This gave him a sense of Immortality and Non-Aging Processes, But also, These times when he was activated were only Experimental tests to test both Nexus and the Suit link.
In 2003, He was stored away in a lab deep underground on the outskirts of Los Angeles. This preserved him from being damaged and all files and documents based on the Experimentations were all burned or Deleted. Anyone associated with the program had brain-washed themselves to prevent themselves from telling others. All Nexus would have to do is wait until the Labs' Power or Systems failed and that would wake him up once more. Much Information about deep secret US Projects was stored onto him as well, But they were placed in his brain instead of a chip or computer, Making it harder to retrieve info from him since he is a living 'specimen'.

Seven Geases be bestowed upon thee, and let its conclusion entail naught but despair and woe. Hence, shall we put the world to trial? Or shall we watch from the sidelines, until even these last embers of creation burn to nothingness and ends? Doth thou wish to save this hopeless world? Doth thou seek to rekindle the dying flames of creation? Tell me, what is it thy heart desires, O' dear blood-sacrifice of mine?

  • Name: Abhoth

Alias/es: Source of Uncleanliness, Father of Miscreation, 'Lord Dominik Wagner', Deputy Chief...?!

    Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

    Function: Investigator...?

    Type: Specialist

    Ability Classification: SCP

    Gender: N/A (Appears Male)

Age: How do you expect me, an insignificant, trifling mortal to know of such things?

Personality: Lord Dominik is cynical, often failing to see, or understand the 'goodness' people preach of. Thinks of all living beings as selfish and unsalvageable, he eagerly awaits the day all creation comes to an end. Has a twisted understanding of common sense. It really is kind of hard to understand when one has lived so long as a giant blob of meat slime. He fails to emphasize with humans whatsoever, but doesn't even try to pretend as he is a terrible actor.

Personality: Rather carefree despite her predetermined fate, Leona appears outgoing, though her manners and etiquette could use some work - that said, she is ultimately completely uncaring of her image. The incident with the Outer God, Abhoth did not leave her completely unscarred, however - namely, she possesses a somewhat twisted sense of justice, often 'judging' villains on her own instead of allowing the law to do so (Abhoth bailed her out every time she's acted a bit too rashly). Completely ruthless to villains and those she judges as 'evil'.

WRENLINNORMS

Wrenlinnorms are a civilized subterranean species, usually found in deep caverns. Their average height is 4 feet 6 inches and they live an average of 450 years.
Although loosely humanoid in appearance and with features that most surface species would call smooth, their genome is reptilian in essence and they are both quadrupedal and bipedal, as well as quadrumanal, changing between each motion mode at will depending on the need; their bone structure is very well-designed and very streamlined, allowing them to rotate each of their limbs almost to 360 degrees. In addition, while they do have opposable thumbs, their hands only count four clawed fingers, which are very long and spindly, but also very resistant. Wrenlinnorms also have a prehensile tail that acts as a natural balancer for them when in motion.

Most of their body mass is concentrated around the skeleton in the form of braided nerves and muscle fiber, giving them extraordinary strength. This so-called "coronal weave" is protected by an inner layer of skin. The upper layers of the body are merely a cartilage frame filled with extremely hard yet surprisingly flexible cells that form what is called the "testudinoplasm" or "scale-skin". Most of the time, the scale-skin is loosened, meaning that an individual Wrenlinnorm appears as expressionless; however, in difficult situations, the individual can consciously tighten the cartilage frame containing the scale-skin around the inner skin, making it appear extremely form-fitting and thus very revealing of muscular motion, intensifying their facial expressions to levels that would seem grotesque or frightening to surface-dwellers. The strength of a Wrenlinnorm's tail while the scale-skin is tightened is enough to crush a reinforced Humvee in its coil - although such a feat requires time and energy and is usually not in reach of individuals without physical training.

They are equal parts mineralophagous and carrion-feeder, although they mostly eat rotten meat and reserve minerals for emergency situation. While their mouths appear to be human or human-like when closed or speaking, they are in fact similar to the mouths of both lampreys and moray eels, in the manner that, on the inside, they are circular with very flexible tissue and covered with circular rows of small, serrated teeth that excel at tearing flesh, and they have a second jaw located in the pharynx that can be unsocketed to extend past the lips; this pharyngeal jaw is mostly used to drill through stone, although it has also seen uses as a torture tool. Their saliva as well as their stomacal fluids are strongly alkaline, allowing them to corrode things as hard as stone.

Similarly, the coronal weave is drenched in a minorly alkaline solution (also called coronal fluid) that is strongly liked by a few specific species of mushrooms. As such, wrenlinnorms have developed a symbiotic relationship with those mushrooms, feeding them to infants so that the mushrooms can seep in the body and fixate on the coronal weave. The mushrooms consume a fraction of the coronal fluid in exchange for enhanced reflexes and a highly ionized and volatile sweat (read, the mushrooms in their nerves make them sweat electrized vapour).

As they do not have high numbers and are natural carrion-feeders, wrenlinnorms do not have any repulsion towards cannibalism, nor any sense of respect towards corpses. Food is food, no matter the origin. Albeit still consequent among them, this particular idiosyncrasy has tended to diminish in the latter epochs, especially since the creation of animal farms that provide a regular income of carrion. Wrenlinnorms have a very weak sense of kin and gender dynamics, due to reproducing through a process loosely associated with mitosis, although they still acknowledge and uphold blood bonds to high level due to honour culture.

Their society is heavily industrialized and most people have great engineering skills, although applied much differently than humans. They are strongly steampunk and clockpunk even though they do make use of electricity and radioactive materials, but tradition has it to not rely on those save for greater projects. They also have developed non-sentient personal assistant AIs entirely in clockwork and hydraulic systems and most of their military is made of steam- and gas-powered golems. Although seemingly inferior on a sheer technological level, wrenlinnorm technology is about as equally advanced as surface technology, through the clever use of magical engineering - indeed, given that both physical and magical engineering in their society were developed in parallel and often intertwined, nearly nobody sees a difference save for a few researchers in obscure specific fields.

Finally, they have a complex relationship with other subterranean species. Their contacts with the magma gillmen clans are mostly peaceful, although tensions arise from time to time due to border raids but tend to fade rather quickly as trade between the two species is highly profitable. Relationships with dwarves and drow are more complicated, wrenlinnorms having a long and chequered history of warfare against both races - they have been at war nearly as many times as they have been in alliances with dwarven nations - and those still persist nowadays. Other minor underground races are mostly seen as shoot on sight and very rarely is peaceful contact initiated with them. Wrenlinnorms have had very few contacts with humans since egyptian antiquity and while humanity was seen as a distant but reliable trade partner back then, wrenlinnorms do not remember fondly their sparse communications in ulterior eras due to human greed and violence.

CROWN OF CREEPING HAZE

This ancient magical artifact dates back to ancient Linnorm prehistory (2-3 million years before the K-T extinction), before the Starfall that caused the Linnorms to migrate underground as their marshland realms were destroyed and the species as a whole was brutally set back and lost almost all of its culture, history and traditions as well as part of their sapience and most of their natural abilities. The crown was created by a fraternity of priests of the god of the mists at the request of a Linnorm king engaged in a losing defensive war against another ancient species ; it was made by sacrificing the souls of the entire city and shaping them into a stone casting that was then filled with molten iron. After thirty-one hours, the casting was broken, revealing the still-blazing hot crown inside. The priests then gave their lives to temper the crown in blood, which called down the blessing of the god and released a supernaturally thick opaque haze that crept across the entire expanse of the king's lands, dissimulating them to enemy forces and devouring the enemy soldiers already on Linnorm land. In those ancient times, the Linnorm were predatory instead of carrion-feeder, and thus all the city's inhabitants' bodies were given proper funeral rites. In the following years, the king's body and mind decayed sharply, the crown's magic and curse amplifying his negative emotions until they reached critical level, making the king kill himself and causing the haze to disperse, revealing to the world a lifeless land scoured by the mists. The crown was taken away as a memorial piece and sealed off in a warded box that was kept under guard at all times. During the Starfall, a priest made off with the box, remembering that it was too dangerous to allow it to be freed. After the Great Migration, the crown was buried in the treasure vault of a minor Wrenlinnorm city-state, until a few decades ago.

The power of the crown faded with ages and is nowadays but a speck of what it once was. Even the curse itself wilted and waned, changing along aeons into something worse, feeding on its own hunger to become what it is now. The crown's current powers are as follows.

Harbinger of Air : The crown's wearer can cast a sigil into the wind that bestows Royal Authority onto the gale, calling forth the divine servant of the mist god known as the Blizzard Knight, Harbinger of the Winds. The Blizzard Knight's approach calls strong winds in the area and lowers the temperature, and his coming results in an intense downpour of snow. Calling forth the Blizzard Knight requires the crown to be at least 50% charged and either a situation endangering the wearer's realm or pertaining to the mist god's portfolio (such as a natural catastrophe).
Blizzard Knight.jpg

Harbinger of Waters : The crown's wearer can cast a sigil into a pool of water or a pouring rain, bestowing Royal Authority onto it and calling forth the divine servant of the mist god known as the Squall Slayer, Harbinger of the Flood. The Squall Slayer's approach calls down a drizzle in the area and thickens the air, and her coming results in intense rain or inundation depending on how she was summoned. Calling her forth has the same requirements as the Blizzard Knight.
Squallslayer.jpg

Coronation of Ruin - Corruption of the Hungering Haze : This devolvement of the crown's original blessing into an inherent curse causes it to regularly damage its wearer by feeding on them to remain active. It however also allows them to generate an array of mystical mists to feed on other entities to counteract the crown's own hunger, and otherwise interact with the world. Most of the Mists (Physical and Mental ones + Colourless) can be used in three ways (four for the crown's wearer).

The first is direct draining; the wearer of the crown emits a cloud of fog they can control more or less at will, that drains a person of a certain attribute. The mist can then be inhaled by anyone to gain the corresponding amount of the corresponding attribute temporarily (until it fades after use). People without magical abilities cannot control how they expend the gained attribute and most spend it all in one go. Absorbing an attribute this way physically modifies the body (someone absorbing strength will see their muscles swell, for example). One must wait for the mist to cease its draining before inhaling it, lest they be drained as well - it is possible to notice when the mist stops draining if one can notice mana movement.

The second way is indirect draining; it functions mostly identically to direct draining, except that once the mists stop draining, they are drawn back and absorbed by the crown to be turned into power for it directly, while some of the attribute permanently seeps into the wearer (Between 5 and 20% of what is absorbed), although the wearer can draw on the crown to get more. So long as the crown has some charge, it will not feed off the wearer, but the charge wears off over time slowly and faster when the wearer actively uses the crown. Attributes absorbed this way apply to the body without modifying it.

The third way is bestowal; the wearer can expend some charge to create a sigil on a target to pour some of an attribute into it. If the crown has no charge, then it will draw on the wearer's own. By creating a draining link and a bestowal link between two people by using the crown as a relay, it is possible to transfer attributes between third parties.

The fourth way is sharing; the wearer can create a bond of mist between two people (including but not necessarily themselves), who will then share the corresponding attribute. It is not instantaneous, but rather occurs over time, faster the greater the difference is between the two people. Once the bond is fully established, both people have access to half of the combined attribute. It is possible to give back an attribute or simply lower it by pouring it into the link; the average is simply the link's default state. It is theoretically possible to pull on the link to drain another person, but this has not been experimented upon. If the link is broken, the people do not get back attributes they might have seen reduced, and fraction of the attribute is lost in the process (5 to 20%).

There might be other uses, but the crown's nature makes it hard to find what it can truly do.

Backstory
There was once a boy, living in a city deep beneath the earth. His was a world alien to man, although not uncivilized. Linnorms do not have families per se, but rather loose associations of individuals whose closeness is determined solely by how much they are willing to put on the line for one another. Back in those days, Erel was the heir to a trader group in a minor city that would have remained but a blot in history books had its vaults not housed a dozen or so antique artifacts, some of which the origin had been forgotten. Of course, among said artifacts was the impossibly ancient Crown of Creeping Haze, of which no one even remembered the name or function.

His was a peaceful life, safe behind the tall walls and tough wards of the conglomerate's bastion, with a bodyguard to shadow his every step. She was an errant nymph, oddity among her kin, and she had taken up a contract to protect him. Until one day his whole world was shaken by a powerful force. Unbeknownst to him, humans on the surface had proceeded to a nuclear experiment, and the shockwaves had reached into the underground and made the caverns quake, shattering many a great pillar and turning nearly half the city to rubble, killing most of that part's inhabitants. Worse, the tremor had opened new pathways into the underdark, which led directly from the territory of the city's enemies into the city itself.

Soon enough the town's outskirts were overrun and the mauled military forces unable to react properly. Defeat was looming, and with the foes they were facing defeat meant extermination for the linnorms of the city. Yet the elders were reluctant to use the artifacts, for they were only caretakers and did not know of the items' history. Erel did not have such concerns. He broke into the vaults, following only his instincts and desperation.

The crown beckoned.

Tragedy befell the depths that night, a ravenous mist descending onto the city and devouring all who lived. Only a nymph and a boy were spared; she was not living in the same manner as the other inhabitants, and he... he had been the cause of that tragedy.

Erel, still with Onyx in his steps, exiled himself to the surface, far away from the mass grave he had created. He took the guise of an unremarkable man working with his talents, feeding the crown only with what was necessary to stay alive.

Legends of nymphs match the species themselves; diverse and unique. Their origins and abilities vary from each individual. One thing that is consistent was that their lives were tied to nature; from rivers, to trees, and even mountains. Destroying what a nymph was tied to meant death for the creature.

Like many other legendary species, nymphs were much more common centuries ago. However, due to many factors that have led to the steady destruction of nature their numbers have waned and those that managed to survive thus far have hidden themselves. Rarely, a new one is born but those are few and far between. If one were to interact with a nymph, it is more likely that they are one born during the modern era rather than a more ancient one; the older a nymph, the more likely it is distrustful of outsiders due to centuries of pollution, deforestation, and general destruction of nature.

One of the notable features of the species is their long life. While not immortal, they do not age. Depending on what the nymph is tied to, they can be immune to fire, disease, and occasionally lightning. They are inheritors of fae magic. It's instinctively known upon their “birth” and unique to the fae bloodline, however, on rare occasions another species can be taught this magic.

Subspecies:
Born from a stone, she is much sturdier than the average nymph, but that’s about it. She can bear more damage and survive heavier attacks but she is still vulnerable to weapons and those that wield powers. In contrast, she is tied to a small gemstone and cannot safely use much of her power. Using too much could cause her to become physically weakened, faint, return to her gemstone, or even die.

The birth of a nymph is rare, but one born from stone even more so. When she first became aware, she just was. She neither knew why nor how, she just existed. That was when "Father" appeared before her. Hephaestus was what the humans referred to him as. Sometimes Vulcan or many other names. He seemed to like Hephaestus best. She had been given form through the intense heat and magma of the volcano they were atop of, but the god was the one who had given her life. Though she originally never questioned why, she now wonders if it was due to loneliness.

Hephaestus visited often, teaching her many things about the world and other topics. It wasn't hard to absorb his lessons as the alternative was staring at the barren mountain top instead. His visits brought color to her otherwise dull life, and her Father seemed to enjoy her presence as well. However, the mount was lonely, and even Hephaestus's visits weren't enough to fill the monotony. There was no life there due to the activity of the volcano. None but her. So she took her gem, the source of her life, and descended the mount. She was glad that she did. Below there were the things called 'humans' that Hephaestus occasionally mentioned. They were colorful and *alive*, much unlike the mountain where she was born. It was strange at first, how loud they were after being used to so much quiet, but once she was adjusted she wanted more. Traveling was easy at first. She did not tire nor hunger so she only needed to walk. Every new town she went to the locals were struck by her apparently good features and would offer to pay for entertainment and the like. The small villages and towns were always so open and friendly that she wondered why Hephaestus said that others like her were so afraid.

Then she reached her first city. It reminded her of the mount where she was born, but instead of being warm it was uncomfortably cold. Even the people who paid her mind were cold, only giving her the time of day if she had something to offer them. That's when she learnt that everything had a price; especially the things she took for granted. Her first few years were brutal. Hephaestus had taught her many things but knowledge was different from wisdom. Even during these years away from the mount he still visited her, though his forms were more human. He would sometimes urge her to return to its safety but she always declined. Even this was better than emptiness.

After a while, she adjusted. She was no longer the naïve little thing that had first arrived. Once she felt that she had overcome the challenge of adjusting to the harshness of life in that city, she moved on. Not all cities were like that first one, but it was the one that had prepared her the best for the cruelty of the outside world.
Abilities:
Fae Magic: Like all fae, she has a natural ability to use magic. Most fae magic is focused on nature, like giving oneself the ability to breath underwater, commanding the fauna and flora around them, moving the earth, or even influencing the weather. In addition, fae magic can be used to bless, charm, or curse people. Things like granting protection to another, charming someone into madness, or cursing a victim with misfortune are well-known uses of their magic.

Blessing of Hephaestus: As she was given life by Hephaestus, she is immune to fire and all of its effects. She also has a natural talent for blacksmithing and other artisan crafts.

Metamorphic Rock: While not able to shape-shift completely, she is able to change her form somewhat. A common thing she does is change her hands and arms into weapons to help her in battle or tools for various uses like lockpicking.

Nature’s Child: As a nymph, she is familiar with all natural terrain and can never get lost. Nature is welcoming to her and both animals and nature avoid harming her. She can communicate with plants and animals as well as other nature spirits.

Nymph Origin: As her life is tied to her Onyx gem, she can "enter" and "exit" the stone as she pleases. She can "enter" the stone no matter how far away she is from it, so it's mostly useful if she happens to lose the stone or if it is stolen from her. If she becomes too weak she is forced to return to the stone to recover which leaves her vulnerable.

    Abilities:
Symbiote Biology: Sorrow can latch onto and conjoin with anything that classifies as 'alive', and only those of incredible will can resist it if it's trying to take control. However, after being bonded with Ivory it's become quite fond of her and prefers not to leave her person.
Shape-Shifting: The symbiote can adjust and morph itself over its host in order to 'shapeshift' them, allowing them to pass for another person.
Invisibility: The symbiote can disguise the hosts heat signature, as well as warp and bend light around itself to render the host virtually invisible.
Cannibalism: Zoga are capable of cannibalism, and it's rather frequent. By eating their own kind they become stronger and gain nourishment in the process.

Backstory: Sorrow is Zoga, a species of asexual symbiote organisms from early on in galactic history. Zoga reproduce asexually, and as such have no need to mate as they will reproduce in their own time. What they lack, however, are bodies. These creatures are totally reliant on an outside source to use as a host in order to get deeds done. Zoga have had no form of government or religion, they simply exist. Some are benevolent, some are malevolent, and others are too alien to comprehend their intentions. Sorrow, as this one calls itself, is one of the first among the Zoga race. Zoga are biologically immortal, claiming they 'only die naturally if they choose to'. This isn't one hundred percent accurate, as there are means to kill them, but age and time certainly aren't one of them. Symbiotes 'feed' off of their hosts, the neural synapses a body produces their means of feeding. So long as something can think, it can serve as a host that offers food. Sorrow has had more hosts than it can remember, and not all of them were treated fairly by the Symbiote. Upon arrival to earth in a meteor shower, it's previous host had perished quite a terrible fate. Sorrow was captured and studied and tested upon by a cartel group, intent to study and learn from it. There was...setbacks, as one would expect when it came to an all infecting entity. However, their research bore fruit, turning the Symbiote somewhat more docile and cooperative. As such, it has been bonded to Ivory, and it is quite fond of this particular host.

Addison and Ella Miller are identical twin daughters to Alexandria Miller, a retired army vet. Their mom, after retiring, moved to the quiet town of Bandana in Kentucky, a location with a population barely above 200 at any time. Life was peaceful, not much to talk about. Hide and seek in a cornfield, exploring the woods, picking the fight with that fucker Bobby Anderson because he liked to pick on kids at school so someone had to lay him out...you know, typical small country town things. Around the age of ten, the girls were out playing in a local cornfield in the evening during the cool summer nights. And then, as if the universe obeyed the cliche's of the movies, a large object came crashing down into the field a distance away. Children, being curious as they are, made their way towards the crash site to investigate. At the crash site was a large pod, roughly the size of a beetle bug car. At their approach there was a silent hiss as a door seamlessly opened up, revealing a small collection of boxes that resembled shoe boxes. Heading inside, each girl picked up a box. Without a hint of warning, the box's melted into a fine liquid and latched onto them. Before they could even consider to panic, their nervous systems were quickly over-ridden, leaving the girls unconscious for the better half of two hours.

When they came too, they immediately ran to their mother to try to explain what had happened, though of course, she dismissed it as childrens playing. Eventually, the girls had to admit maybe they imagined it. It was a small town after all, maybe they did have an over-active imagination? The relaxation didn't last very long, the girls beginning to hear voices in their heads that were not their own. Each voice explained in its own way that they were bio-synthetic suits, designed by an alein civilization. Their programming dictated that they aid their host, as well as having the purpose of military affairs. That was the last straw, the girls convincing their mother to lead her back to the crash site. The pod remained, but every 'box' inside seemed to have combusted into ash, likely a means to keep the technology safe without hosts.

The girls soon began to get 'lessons' from their newfound companions, often in the means of human biology, science and mathmatics, and combat. The armor's also seemed to locate and amplify an innate trait in the girls, expanding on it and improving it to its fullest potential. As they grew older and started to get a hold on their 'powers', they made their intention clear. While heroics were fine and all, they were limited in how much they could really help. A hero couldn't help an oppressed people from their government. Mercenaries were illegal...but PMC'S? Legal, and could operate within their own jurisdiction to aid those who couldn't get the benefit of a hero. Their mother, realizing there was little she could do to dissuade them from this, reached out and started to get in touch with old friends who could help her children with their goals, as well as helping them start up and handle their affairs.

Name: Selena Star
Alias(es): "Um... I always thought that if I ever got powers, I'd wanna be called something like... Nova."
Class: None
Ability Classification: Speedster
She is unaware of her powers as of yet, but that will shortly change. As such, here is the description, but note that some things may change as time goes on.

Both in comprehension and physicality, Selena can move at blinding speeds. She had always been a little quick on her feet and quick to make a quip, but nothing like this. Her movements can create streaks of purple lightning, which she can control to an extent. This static charge builds the further she's gone without expending it. Like Velocity, she has access to the speed force, though she's a total novice at anything concerning this whole... powers thing. She has a lot of potential if she can manage to learn without ending up dead.

The manifestation of her abilities has also resulted in a sudden increase in her healing rate. If she's got a decent static charge she can heal like magic, but her base rate is only very slightly better than a normal human's. (Natively weaker than Velocity's.)

Despite physics suggesting it should be otherwise, the effect of her speed on the world around her varies. She can knock things around at slow speeds, but after a certain level, it seems that the effects of her speed don't match what they should be. A side-effect of tapping into the speed force.

Hideout: No
Cooperation: "I think I'd love to work with people, as long as they're not too troublesome."
Common Gear: "I guess my schoolbag? Um... and I keep a little taser and mace on me for self-defense."
Background: Born of two non-powered parents, Selena's upbringing was utterly and completely normal. The only thing "powered" about her whole family was their lavender hair and eyes that passed down on her mother's side which her brother Victor and her both had. The closest powered relative she had was like... a second cousin twice-removed or something like that. Nothing remotely close to her.

Still, she wanted to get powers, because what kid didn't? She had a whole plan for what her name would be, and what her powerset would totally be like, and that she would be some badass superhero. She kinda tossed that out when she was done being an edgy 13-year-old, though. By the time her early teenage years passed, she knew she wasn't going to get powers. Considering that usually, it was a genetic thing, that wasn't surprising. She knew better. It was still so gutting for a kid to accept.

Her mother was from a long line of Irish folk and was proud of it, so she didn't give up her last name in the marriage. Cristoval, her father, was from Latin America and was a hopelessly romantic sweetheart who fell for Aoife. They were both alive and well, just living life. She lived with them when she wasn't in a semester. During classes though, she lived in the dorms. Her brother Victor was a whole ten years older than her, and he was in the military (something her parents were very proud of, though they'd be proud of their kids doing just about anything if it was something they were excited for). He was stationed overseas, but he made sure to take every opportunity to head back home to visit.

Her dad was a typical Latin American - if there was someone he made friends with, they'd get invited over for food. The family was important, and that sort of feeling included the neighborhood, not just the four of them. Her mom was a stern lecture-sort. She would let you or anyone else know if they did something she didn't like. Not in like... a Karen way... but in an "everything is a learning opportunity" sort of way.

Cristoval was an entrepreneur. Aoife was a private catholic school teacher. Their family was pretty catholic, but they were fine with their kids exploring other religions and whatnot, as long as they respected their parents' religion in their house. Selena was kinda agnostic, not super religious, but not atheist either. She was just kinda going with the flow at this point. Victor had gone (in Selena's opinion) full crazy and was a believer in the hardcore religious crap of creationism and really old bible stuff. She blamed it on the military since he was stuck in an echo chamber, but he was at least still respectful about it and didn't push his beliefs onto the rest of the family.

Victor was a planned kid. They wanted a daughter, got a son, and were more than happy with that. They tried for a while to get pregnant, but couldn't, so they gave up on that. Ten years later, surprise! Selena came along. They absolutely did not expect her, but damn if they weren't happy about it. Victor was already ten, so she had a big brother to look up to from the start. She could always trust him to help her out if she needed it.

So now, all that family junk out of the way, she was at college for biology study and had no idea her world was about to get turned upside down.

Completely, unquestionably, 100% insane: Spear is a psychopathic and insane madman, getting pleasure from spreading suffering...the more creatively he does it, the better. He seems to have no motive, other than chaos and strife. As truth is subjective to what one says believing such, lie detectors of both science and magic are useless against him, as he often cannot differentiate what he says as god honest truth or an elaborate story. He's also seemingly immune to fear, likely an effect of insanity and the learned fact he cannot be hurt. Some minor succubi have managed to create a temporary flame in him of carnal nature though they always seem to just wind up in the alleyways the next morning, missing their clothes...and a pulse.
Corruptive Insanity: Don't ever glimpse inside his mind. More than a few hardened police and hero telepaths have been turned into laughing maniacs, still locked up in padded rooms. It appears if he's given the time to do so, he's capable of twisting just about anyone's morals into a mess to suit his needs, turning a straight cop into a crook, or a humanitarian into a thief, the list goes on.
Criminal Mastermind: While not a genius, his mastermind is of a more criminal nature. How many bones need to be broken to get someone to talk, where the bomb should go to create the largest distraction, how many men are needed for a job, and of course, stupidly complex traps and plans that somehow work.
Street Fighting: Spear doesn't use any actual combat techniques, instead going with whatever feels right at the moment
Good shot: While not superhuman, he's a good shot with his revolver
Damage Redirection: Everyone knows of the ex-criminal Shield and his ability to absorb any and all damage without a problem. Spear is the inverse of this. He can't take damage, he just redirects it. Anything that would negatively harm him is rebounded right back to the source, or another person if he really chooses to redirect it. Mirroring it right back to the source is full damage, whereas redirecting it is around .25 to .5 of the actual damage. If there are no humans, it then goes to animals. If there are no animals, it goes to plants. If there are no plants, it goes to inanimate objects.
Chemical Immunity: Spear is immune to chemical means that would negatively affect his psyche, the reason is speculated to be his powers.

Weaknesses: Unlike Shield, who cannot grow exhausted, Spear can get tired after a fight, and he's nowhere near as mentally sound as Darren. One can easily beat him with handcuffs or zip ties if they hold him still. While Shield has somewhat higher-than-human stats, Spear seems completely mortal in his strength and speed. Spear is also obsessed with the concept of feeling pain for once, often doing seemingly suicidal acts if it means he'd at least get a chance to feel the sensation he's never had. This is both a positive as it can be exploited against him, and a negative as it only makes him all the more unpredictable.

Sometimes life is a perfect fairytale, and the sun shines on you when you're born and there's the angelic chorus and your mother weeps for joy! That wasn't Dexter's life, nor even his birth. His mother was sixteen when she gave birth to him, spawned from a night of hate and greed. His father was 23 at the time. The man was a piece of garbage businessman, as crooked as they came, and 'spirited' his mother away shortly out of high school. What followed was several years of absolute torment for both the woman and her young son. She lived a life of total fear and submissive attitude, afraid to speak out of line lest the old man get violent again, as he was prone to do. As Dexter grew older to understand that what he was seeing was wrong, he felt bad, obviously. Then came the evening his father struck out at him with a beer bottle. The bottle cracked over his head and he felt...nothing. His father, however, shouted in pain as blood poured from his scalp as if he'd been the one struck with the blow. Confused, Dexter tried this again, stabbing himself with the shattered bottle, causing the man to bleed from his ribs. Why couldn't he be hurt? His mother was hurt almost every night, why did he get off lucky!? Enraged he continued to stab at himself, his father dropping dead from 'multiple stab wounds' after a short time. His mother didn't know what to do with him, a match tossed to gasoline. All of his life, he'd seen his mother be used and abused, so why did he get off scot-free? What did pain feel like? Was it as bad as she seemed to make it out to be?

The next years were maddening for the poor mother, her son who was already mentally unsound given his house-life, was growing more and more unstable by the day. More devious and insane experiments and ideas crafted and tested for the chance to taste pain, it became an obsession for him. And every time, someone else got hurt for it. She couldn't take it. He was put into adoptive services when he was eight, and then in her grief at having lost every chance of having a life taken from her, and now having to give away her son, she was last seen leaping from a bridge into the river below. Dexter was in and out of adoptive homes the rest of his days until his 12th birthday when even the orphanage had said 'enough is enough' and tossed him to the streets. He wandered about, and what happened from there is up to urban myth and speculation. As no one could harm him, he used this to his advantage, taking advantage of thug and villain for his own gain. Now at the age of 19, he is the mastermind of one of the most dangerous psychopathic crime groups in L.A, whose goals, and even lives, are subject to Spear's choices and whims.

Beware the wolf in sheep's clothing, because he'll sneak inside and slaughter your herd~

The psychopathic crime group led by Spear, they seem to lack any real goal or motive, other than heists to sustain themselves, causing as much misery and chaos as possible, and filling their ranks when their boss gets bored and starts to clean house. Much like Spear, every individual wears a mask of some nature to hide their identity, each custom to their owner. Those in places of authority can sometimes get past this house rule, though they usually have some sort of other unique trait to them. To climb the ranks, one has to be merciless, calculating, psychopathic, sociopathic, or powered. Preferably, at least two of the listed. The group's symbol is graffiti'd pictures of their leader's mask.

Devourment: Very recently, Salamander killed a demon lord of middling position and devoured their heart, lungs, and .5 L of blood, gaining control over their abilities. Now, whenever he dies, he is sent back to Hell, only to crawl his way back out when sufficiently 'rejuvenated'. Through a combination of his Chi and his newfound 'mortality', his physical attributes have amplified to an extent.
Chi: The life-force of all things, as a man between life and death, eternal unlife, Salamander is in command of a somewhat twisted version of it, though not necessarily evil. He is neither truly life nor truly dead, meaning his own abilities are a twisted form of pure chi. This energy can be used to amplify his abilities, or even redirect energy if needed and he can focus on the task at hand.
Moeru Hebi Arts: The clan of the Burning Serpent had select and secret techniques known only to them. These arts manifest in different ways and to varying degrees.
Aura; The Salamander: Salamander can manifest his soul's into a physical manifestation, a large salamander-like beast that stays by his side. When it is in use, he can siphon the energy of his opponent as one of his souls deepest desires is to become strong enough to fight the one he was sworn to defeat. If absolutely necessary, the serpent can harness all of Salamanders rage, hate, and sorrow into one large explosive blast, effectively creating a localized 'mushroom cloud' around him. Doing so can outright banish him back to hell if he is wounded enough, otherwise it incapacitates him.
rift_fire_colossus.png
Cursed Flame: After consuming the demon lord, Salamander is capable of channeling the flames of hell itself. To do so, he must relive every tragedy and suffering that drives him forward. The deeper he taps into these emotions, the stronger the flame, but the further he loses himself in the moment to his need for vengeance and bloodlust.
Master of the Moeru Hebi clan: At the time of his death, and the death of his clan, Hashira Munenori was the clan's leader and figure of guidance. As is to be expected, he is extremely well versed in hand-to-hand combat, guerilla tactics, traditional weaponry of his era, the aspects of ninjutsu, and the secret arts of his clan.
Weapons: The weapons he wielded in life have been carried with him into death and unlife. Master crafted by the smiths of his clan, their capabilities are almost supernatural. Blades capable of cutting through solid steel, etchings in each blade granting it the power to slice even the incorporeal.
Short-range teleportation: Hashira is capable of very short-range teleportation, though there are a few minutes of cool down before he can 'jump' again. This is often forewarned by a hand gesture before he combusts in a flame.
Portal to hell: His connection to Hell is such that he can open a very brief portal to hell itself, allowing him to return as needed...or drag some unfortunate soul in with him.
The affinity of fire: As he is permanently tied to Hell itself, Salamander is almost immune to fire, only the hottest blazes and supernatural forms able to scorch him.
Driven by hate, fueled by vengeance: Hashira's capability to show care or affection is lessened by his drive for vengeance and bloodlust. It is still present, but it is to the extent that charm effects need a little extra oomph for any results.
Armor: Salamders armor is a master-crafted set created by his clan. Though it offers almost no protection against bullets as they weren't a threat at the time he was alive, his arm guards are perfectly suited for turning blades. The armor is well suited for soaking up an extent of blunt, slashing, and stabbing trauma, while still allowing a surprising amount of mobility and speed.

Raw Power: 79/100
Visibility: Varies
Success: He gets his target...eventually. Always eventually.
Out of combat reputation: 25/100 (he still has a sense of honor...to an extent.)
Ranking: N/A
Political Abrasiveness: He really doesn't care for politics or any of their functions.
Property damage: Generally not very high, though he may ruin several rooms in a fight.
Lethality: 100, there is no room for pity or mercy
Rescue: His failure will forever haunt him.
Tenure: 100/100

Hashira Munenori was born fifty years at the turn of the fifteenth century, into the clan of the Burning Serpent, the Moeru Hebi. A clan of ninja who honed their capabilities as living weapons, they were often the ones responsible for protecting weaker villages who beseeched their aid, their honor dictating such. For indeed, there is no finer honor than to protect those who cannot defend themselves against the horde. By the age of thirty-three, Hashira had taken the role of the master of his clan after the death of his grandfather, his father having died when he was younger and thus leaving him as the successor. When armies rose against the villages that the Moeru Hebi stood to protect, he and his clan would move to intercept, vicious battles of guerilla warfare picking apart the much more powerful force until they could be overwhelmed in hand to hand and a front attack. After some time, Hashira had earned the moniker of 'Salamander'. The reptile was believer to teach man how to first use flame, and a symbol of passion and protection and rebirth, a fitting name for the leader of such a clan.

At the age of forty, he undertook a pilgrimage, leaving his son Eto in his stead while he did so. Legends spoke of a living demigod, an Asura, that dwelled in a Hindu temple. Her power intense, her abilities unmatched. For the master of the Moeru Hebi who had failed to meet an equal in battle, it was a chance to finally push his limits and better himself. It was a long journey, at least a month long before he arrived at the temple. He spoke his challenge, declared his desire, and she met him with equal vigor. The battle was long and hard-fought, perhaps longer than the Asura typically had the chance to enjoy. By the end, the master of the Moeru Hebi lay bloodied and bruised, his opponent fairing somewhat better than he had. He spoke his thanks and gratitude, stating that he would one day return to do battle with her again, this time to claim victory. She of course, was all too happy to oblige. He made the journey back home, resting as needed to recuperate and heal his wounds.

His arrival to his clan was pleasant, though short-lived, only three months of joy. A rival clan had made a deal with a large force, giving them the location of the Flaming Serpent clan that had thus far remained hidden. He awoke one night to his village in flames, his people being slaughtered. There was little he could do as everyone he loved and cared for was cut down like wheat beneath the scythe. He readied himself and charged into the fray, but for every soldier he killed ten more of his people dropped. The last sight he saw was his family butchered before his eyes. A cry of pain and rage, a 'NO' rung out, only for his heart to be skewered upon an opponent's blade who took his distraction as their chance.

He awoke sometime later in the depths of Hell itself, the rival clan having granted the enemy force the ability to consign every soul they slew to eternal damnation. It was misery, his entire village having been shoved into this terrible place, an eternal shame, and mockery that would haunt him. His people were but shades of their former selves, hollow and weakened in a place simply known as the 'wastes of the damned'. Demons of course prowled the area, searching for the weak. The ninja did everything in his power to keep his people safe, 'day' after 'day' slaying anything that came to close. Perhaps it was fate, perhaps it was a blessing in a place of suffering when word reached him. Another man in armor he had never heard of was carving a swath through the demons wherever he went with a horde that followed him, and even when they all fell he continued to fight on.

Hashira saw an opportunity, and he took it. Rallying what force he could from the weakened clan he struck out himself, engaging in the typical unconventional warfare. It was a long battle, several years in the making, but between the ninja that destroyed any force that prowled into their domain, and the man in armor who slaughtered forces he came across, the small portion of the wastes he and his people were consigned to became a place that only the most foolish of demon would tread. It was a miserable existence, day after day haunted with his failure. One day, in the year 2034, Hashira tracked down and killed a Demon Lord of middling position and power, ritualistically consuming them after finding a lost scroll within the depths of hell. Fury sparked in his soul, rage alight in his eyes as he dragged his body through the newfound portal after consuming these powers. Where had that Asura been? A woman that was so often claimed to be a 'demigod'. Such beings had the power of prophecy and foresight more often than not, she claimed to be one for justice and right. Where had the justice been when he and his people were slaughtered? Where was the right as women and children were cut down without mercy?

Since that day, the Salamander has prowled city and country alike, hunting down individuals of increasing strength and power. It didn't matter who they were. Hero, Villain, Crimelord, Vigilante, Mercenary. They were all but stepping stones to him, all foes he would kill for his ultimate goal. He would become stronger, far stronger than he had ever been. He would find that Asura, for certainly that woman still lived. And he would face her once again, and he would make her suffer for her hubris and her false ideals. And each time he dies, he will crawl back from the depths of hell to begin anew. For only by making himself stronger, defeating the Asura who had failed her own ideals, would his shame be erased, or at least eased.

Ability descriptions
Peak Human Condition
: Izumi has reached a level of physical conditioning that puts her at peak human capability, able to sprint up to 25 mph (just slightly faster than Usain Bolt in his prime), impressive feats of strength, and meditative techniques to slow her breathing to maintain such feats for extended periods, among other impressive skills.
Iaijutsu Mastery: The samurai jutsu art of the sword. By pulling from the sheathe, supernatural and wonderful feats can be accomplished by drawing the blade from it's sheathe after focusing. However, true masters needn't even fully pull the blade from its sheathe, and the best needn't even sheathe as the air itself was the sheathe. Using an actual sheathe for Izumi results in easier but weaker techniques, where as using the air itself is more difficult but rewarding.
Divine Ancestry: Izumi is a direct descendent of Emperor Ōjin, who later ascended to divinity as Hachiman, the 'god of war', more accurately the tutelary god of warriors, and divine protector of Japan. Because of this, Izumi's lineage can be considered of divinity, allowing her to tap into her sheer force of will to manifest a combination of her aura and her ancesters. More recently deceased warriors are somewhat weaker, but the direr the need or focus the stronger she can summon, going so far as to invoke the will of Hachiman himself. (Refer to Purity of mind and body for extension of capabilities).
Power to perceive one's true form: There exist those that are incorporeal, can become such, shift their form into a gas or liquid state, on and on. For a true warrior, not only can they see these foes, they can actively hit them and kill them.
Master swordswoman: Izumi comes from a long line of samurai (as should be obvious), trained from birth to be a perfect paragon of war and honor. Just as skilled with two blades as she is with one, letting her within range is a poor idea.
Mastery of Yumi and Naginata: Samurai did not only use the sword, they used bow and arrow and polearm in equal measure. Though she is among the finest with her swords, she is no pushover at any range thanks to these.
Ancestral Techniques: Samurai from generations on and on have created swordsman techniques and Laijutsu, Izumi having studied them all since the day she could wield a blade. When using a technique she will typically proclaim it allowed, as it gives honor to the creator of such for their creation she uses.
Samurai Training: Samurai training...sucks, by most standards. Standing nude in the snow, beneath waterfalls, voluntarily starving and dehydrating yourself. Izumi's training was its own brand of brutality, making her far more resilient than her 5'5 appearance would let on.
Purity of mind and body, soulbound to honor: "It is better to die with honor than live in shame" is a common saying for Samurai, and so too for Izumi. Though she may feel fear, it will not route her. Though she may feel charmed or enticed, it will not sway her. Her goal is to reclaim lost honor and restore the glory of Bushido, and with the blood of the god of such divine rights in her veins, you may affect her, but her will shall prevail.
The Equipment: Izumi's equipment has been passed down for generations, further refined and honed by the last wielder. At her natural capability, she can cleave straight through steel with a normal blade, but with such equipment, there is little she cannot cut through. Her armor is capable of weakening or redirecting magical arts, though it still offers traditional protection against the standard weapon for there is no honor in battle if you cannot face danger, and your opponent cannot be offered a chance to strike. The fan she wields can be used to instruct clarity in any order she should give, and the banners she wears instills a heavy sense of courage and bravery into any who fight at her side, making her an ideal 'buffer' against terrifying threats.
Hannya: Traditionally, the Hannya is a female demon who is evil and full of jealousy, and it is from this demon she takes her name, more specifically the mask is fashioned in the visage of the Honnari Hannya, a true demon of terrifying power and capable of breathing fire. The mask is reinforced iron and leather to protect her face, while also serving to terrify those who look at it. The reason she chose such a name is simple...it's a big middle finger to heroes who slander the idea of 'honor', to be shown up by a woman who proclaims herself a demon.

There was once a time when Samurai were the pride of Japan, warriors of honor and practitioners of Bushido that the people could find inspiration in, and those warriors (and sometimes women) found inspiration in their patron deity Hachiman, mortally Emperor Ojin. It was the duty of the Samurai to retain loyalty to their master, fight with honor and to guard the lands, and it was duties they upheld without complaint. Wars could be decided by the legendary Samurai who graced the battlefield, their usage of laijutsu cleaving men like grain to the scythe. Though there comes a day when the new kills the old, and with it, the honor it had. That came during the civil war in Japan and the rebellion in part, samurai falling before rifle and gatling before they could truly enter combat. With sin the new age entered, proud warriors dying without so much of a fair fight. It was at Shiroyama, the final battle of the Satsuma Rebellion that the last of the Samurai were slaughtered, none of them choosing surrender and fightinig in vain...or so one would think.

Would a god sit so idly as the proud way of honor and pride he instilled in his chosen, his very bloodline, was slaughtered? To watch the fruits of his labor and those who worshipped him slaughtered without a true fair battle. No, but he could not be too forgiving or relaxed. It was a small group of his own blessed bloodline that he scooped up, several men and women that were present at the Shiroyama taken from their planning grounds from imminent death, placed in a great palace in the sky. It was here that his instruction was given, his descendants dropping to their knees and prepared to commit ritual suicide for failure. He stayed their hand. His demands were simple, his requests simpler. He would not see the bushido ways die like a flickering ember against a force who could not face them in true combat. His descendants would train and ever improve, and when the world was prepared, they would return with their skill to prove the might of the Samurai once again.

Several centuries passed, and the world changed. Wars, genocide, plague, suffering. Things that the warriors never knew or experienced first hand waged on, warriors ever training against enemies manifested by the temples training grounds as they improved their mastery. It was only recently, briefly after the end of the second world war, were they granted exit from this palace. Many were eager to return to their homeland and show their skill and honor, their pride to fight for their country...but it had changed, it had changed so much. Samurai were banned, they could not practice their art here or fight with pride for their own people. Scattered like dust to the wind to the four corners, many forced to act as lone Samurai. And why not Ronin? For they had met their master, the true master that any Samurai could hope for, in the employ of Kami Hachiman. Hachiman Izumi, or Izumi Hachiman in english placement, is the latest in the line of this bloodline of warriors, and she has much to be angry for. She cannot practice in her homeland, forced to operate elsewhere...in this instance, the United States. Angry that the latest Unagi is little more than a political figurehead when her mentor was a true warrior. Angry that heroes are little more than selfish fools who lack a concept of honor. Angry that she is labeled so low in status when her abilities surpass many above her position.

Her dream is simple, her goals unchanging. She will restore the honor of Bushido, and she will become the strongest swordswoman to ever live. And with the surplus of warriors in L.A, there are more than a few she can seek out to learn their arts.

sean.pngsean.jpgSean Peetif Mallory. 16.

Lauren, only 30, and Timothy Mallory, 52. Sean was born when Lauren was only 14. Timothy was 36. Lauren tends to say she's older than she actually is to avoid criticism and ridicule. They are both activists involved in the California Super Freedom Movement.

Sean does distance learning through an accelerated program. Not much on him. He was in LA at the time of the OA attack, ended up on the rim of the crater, in the rubble of what was once his daycare. He and three other children were the only ones that made it after a hospital stay. arranged marriage situation. Trying to make a strong kid

Further digging through normal means reveals that there's a decent bit on the boy, at the very least a report on his abilities, that Ada didn't find herself, behind government-level security measures. Not easily cracked.

I apologize for the difficulties, though... to be fair... your own security seems to be leagues above the norm as well, so you could hardly judge, yes? Since he has some sort of a crush on the girl, I will explain somewhat. He is under the protection of the Mages' Council due to the nature of his abilities and the number of people that would like to use him for said abilities. I believe he could recognize another strong individual, and for that reason gravitated towards your daughter. As he explained it to me, "She exuded confidence."

Abilities:
- Affinity for spacial magics.
- Mild super-intelligence.
- Temporal Prediction - can see the time stream
- Temporal Alteration - can alter time stream things

"Time pause. It's... draining and limited and I can only do it for a really short burst right now, but it makes for instant movement for when time starts again. I have about ten seconds or so? More if I push it. It's also in a limited area, like... a bubble or something. You can do a lot in ten seconds, though... I um... have killed someone before in that ten or so seconds... in self-defense, of course... So... yeah, the guards are more to limit threats. Things still get past them. I'd be dealing with stuff way too often otherwise."

"There's only one other ability but I don't use it. It's a weird one. I open a tiny portal, and a destructive force comes through it. It's temporal-related as well. It's a portal to a would-be apocalypse that never happened in our timeline. I can count on my hands the times I've used that, though. Only when my life was desperately threatened. Panicked, threw my hands up, and hoped that whatever came through would help. Lucky for me, it did. It's got a really sour feeling to it, though. The pain and hollow feeling of it... I don't think I can handle it yet, to be honest. Maybe when I'm older."

He has others, but these are the ones that cause him the most trouble. The prediction and alteration abilities in particular. He has many visions overlayed with reality and if he can sort through them and make sense of them can alter the path we are currently on. He has been kidnapped for this many times.

VI named Cerberus

guards: hey have powers like... like one of them, his name's Raul. He's this big burly dude... though I guess all of them are pretty big to someone like me. Built kinda like your dad. Raul's power is elasticity. Not a super uncommon one, but he uses it in combat along with the... like... the environment. It's pretty neat to watch. Then there's Travis, and he's got a weird ability where he can make weapons appear from his exposed skin. Derrek can inflict pain on people with his mind, which is pretty brutal and distracting but doesn't cause any actual damage. T, he doesn't ever go by his real name, can change his size. And then there's Quinton, who's a healer/mage. They're all really nice, just serious about their job." Mr. Keeler, no powers, excellent martial artist Mr. Keeler has twins

  • Hammered!: This is where a character is slammed by a heavy object (such as a giant POW hammer, or fat people) where they will then be slammed deep into the ground. This usually results in the character making a crater in the ground shaped just like the character and the object combined. However...
  • Flattened: ...In some cases the character will be made paper-thin. However, this can also be caused by being hit by large objects, like a train.

  • Pain Suppression: Users can suppress pain until they notice it or until they need to let out a scream.
  • Parasol Flight: Using a mere umbrella to fly, glide, and hover to various destinations.
  • Physics Infringement: In the cartoon world, physics is messed within a lot of ways. Sometimes...
  • Pocket Dimension: Ability to draw out large objects from seemingly nowhere, usually behind their back or in a pocket.
  • Randomness Inducement: User can make very random and improbable events happen for seemingly no reason.
  • Regenerative Healing Factor: Recover from damage and regenerate lost limbs, organs, and other body parts. Some almost instantly. For animal cartoons, this is mostly seen only applying to tails.
  • Ricochet Inducement: Users can cause people or object to ricochet in a cartoonish fashion. Enemies may also cause them to bounce instead.
  • Semi-Immortality: Cartoon characters never age. They stay exactly the same age over the years. For Example, Mickey Mouse has not biologically aged. He is the same biological age he was in the '40s as he is in the present.
  • Sharp Jab: Slightest perforation implicates caricature to shoot skyward, screaming.
  • Supernatural Condition: Be physically/mentally superior to humans.
  • Unnatural Shape: Cartoon characters are often portrayed in exaggerating shapes which real-life lacks.

Item #: SCP-7008

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-7008 is to be contained on-site. It is to be always within a polycarbonate plastic box with the dimensions 20x20x20 inches. There has to be at least two people watching it constantly. It is to be kept away from any instances of SCP-7008-B that have tapes within them.

SCP-7008-B is to be kept at least 30 m away from SCP-7008 at all times otherwise it may activate even without a tape in it.

Description: SCP-7008 is a 50s era 16-inch box tv with the dimensions of 20x17x15 inches. It is a fine polished wooden box, containing the usual wires found within a tv of that era, with the exception of the lack of a plug it is a completely normal looking tv. However, when SCP-7008-B is within 30 ft of it the screen will flicker to life. If SCP-7008-B has no tape in it then the screen will simply project a static picture. However, should SCP-7008-B have a tape within it and be placed within a 30 foot range of SCP-7008, the TV will start playing whatever is on the tape continuously until SCP-7008-B is once again out of range. After 10 consistent plays of the tape without SCP-7008-B being removed from the vicinity, one character that is being played on the tv will start to force its way out of the TV similar to THE RING. Once a character is forcing its way out, there is nothing that can be done to stop it, not even removing SCP-7008-B from the vicinity. After 30 minutes SCP-7008 will have made a SCP-7008-B-#.

SCP-7008-B: SCP-7008-B is a standard VHS system coming from what looks to be the 1980s, we have identified the make and model as a NEC N912A 3 Head System VHS VCR Tape Player. It, like SCP-7008 is missing a plug as well as a remote and the wires that should connect it to a TV. Due to to wear and tear of being in junk and weather it has removed the majority of the paint on the system. Similarly to SCP-7008 it appears not to be inactive when out of the range of SCP-7008 but will activate when within 30 ft of SCP-7008.

SCP-7008-B-1: SCP-7008-B-1 a black and white cartoon female with the exception of the eyes and the fact it is in greyscale, It appears on the surface an average human female. Upon further investigation we have learned that SCP-7008-B-1 is the original villain from The Flufftop and Carrots Show. Upon experimentation on SCP-7008-B-1 it was have discovered that it has retained its cartoon abilities. While able to take suffer trauma and damage it does not seem to take damage for very long and only gets mildly upset when it happens. It also seems to have inexplicably bad luck, even impossible at certain points. During experiments it has been noted that heavy items can come out of nowhere to damage it and those around them. It is not inherently evil like first believed, at least not what has been observed. Due to SCP-7008-B-1 learning about heroes it has been requesting to become one. Thanks to Detective Marshall, SCP-7008-B-1 has been given temporary freedom tutoring and being watched by Detective Marshall. Detective Marshall will be required to file a monthly report on SCP-7008-B-1 and it’s progress.

Addendum SCP-7008: SCP-7008 under no circumstances shall be used recreationally. Any Personnel found doing so shall be terminated effective immediately by on-site security personnel.
