Thank you. I wanted to be worthy of writing with you two so I really gave it my all. It was mainly set up in part cause I had NO IDEA wtf would be going on but I imagine Kameron will have something cooking. From there hopefully I can figure something out to have Sephy and Liquid meet up. It occurred to me how weirdly similar the two are at least when you consider the theme of "Genes as destiny" and whether or not you choose to go your own way or let the legacy of your parents put you onto a path instead. It can absolutely be said that Sephiroth and Liquid Snake have this in common an their foils; Cloud and Solid Snake are the other side of the coin.It’s a great post I’m hyped to get things rolling.

Maybe not empathize, honestly Im not sure Seph is even capable of that anymore but Im not the character expert. But if nothign else the parallels should be obvious to the two with some background knowledge. They are both the scheming type but with Seph more willing to throw around raw power than Liquid since y'know bros a god. But I could see a kinda calculated team up. Perhaps Liquid would have to prove himself worth it first, or Seph may find it amusing to keep him around. But they do both share a kind of nihilism and a strong over the weak thing. But with two very different ending. Sephiroth is a planet vampire, Liquid wants a world of war. Also between you and me Jenova kinda hot ngl his "dad" can go die though.I won’t go on a tirade how much I dislike Seph’s parents esp his mom.

It's interesting that he shares similar views with Liquid, which is a neat aspect, although he's not the empathetic type. I wish I had played the Metal Gear Solid games. Does Liquid have the same goals as Sephiroth? I wonder if they could cooperate with each other.

Its funny we're kinda on simliar situation just on other side. I sorta know Sephiroths lore and personality. But I know Metal Gear a lot more. To summarize for Liquid he and Solid Snake are clones of Big Boss a legendary soldier from the Cold War era. Liquid grew up hating his "father" and believed since Snake his brother had the dominant genes that he was the superior clone while he was left with the recessive ones making him inferior. This is false and he is in fact the better clone but his complex towards Big Boss chains him to believe otherwise. In MGS 1 his goal was to use Metal Gear and nuclear weapons to black mail the US demanding 1 billion dollars. His ultimate goal was "be able to bring chaos and honor back to this world gone soft" and kill snake to prove his superiority. He idolized soldiers and battle believe war was where him and his forces were meant to be and that war would give them the purpose that was stolen from them in the modern era. In terms of what his goals would be in Smash Bros it would of course still involve proving himself better than snake and perhaps trying to find the pieces of the Pillar of Destruction to spread war to other worlds and as a greater show of strength than even Metal Gear was back home. Since at this point he no longer has Metal Gear REX or his nuclear weapons.

This is one of the main antagonists of FF14 and I think you'll like him as he is pretty much the game's equivalent of Sephiroth.
For an explanation, EMIYAman, I used FF14's character creation system to design Lunaris's facial features, then thought it would be fun to make him my PC for the game.

I was originally planning on having the Smash Bros. keep the Pillar of Life (Zelda could have tossed it aside after her capture) but I thought having both Pillars taken away will better serve to free up a lot of the PCs as many players have left. Now there's no "dire need" for a Samus due to her involvement with the Pillars, for example. Peach's capture will remove her from the scene as well as potentially give a new player a fresh start, and the removal of the other inactive Smash Brothers can easily be explained away as the group splitting up.

In the future, yes. If there is enough interest I'll make a new RP thread. It will continue the game, but everyone will have a chance to drop or change PCs and stick them in new areas, and it may be more helpful in getting new players into the story.

Dgsjfhd It’s def been something seeing the number of people tagged for interactions in each post get smaller and smaller that’s for sure
I think my personal plan is to wait for the new thread before jumping back into the rp. That way I can sort through which characters I’ll keep or maybe drop and I won’t have to worry as much about keeping track of what’s happened since my break (although either way I def have a lot of reading to do
)
