The young woman in the reflection looked absolutely ravishing. Her dress draped her body in a way that accentuated her curves, complimenting her dark complexion. Her auburn hair effortlessly framed her dewy face, her sharp features glistened with cosmetics, her eyes dark, with long lashes. Was this really her? Raven slightly tilted her body for a better view. She didn't think she could look this glamorous, she was like just them.

The surroundings suddenly changed and a man now escorted her through a long, dimly lit hallway. After what felt like an eternity, the two of them finally reached the end of the corridor, only to find a figure blocking the light at the end of the tunnel. Before Raven could call out to him, he had turned around, sending chills down her spine. The smirk on his face was enough to halt her in her footsteps, a sense of fearful dread overcame her. What was he doing here? He extended his arm to take her hand, she complied.

No... Not him.

Stop!

Raven's eyes sprung open, her breathing somewhat irregular. She looked around the empty pod frantically. I must have passed out back then... Did we actually fucking make it? She laid back in her seat and stared at the walls of the capsule in disbelief, letting it all sink in. She eventually decided she had to find Lucius and the rest of the crew; she weakly got up, only to stumble over a dislodged container of some sort. "Aggh!" She exclaimed as she fell.

After examining its contents, Raven exited the pod with the container, her knees still wobbly.

Natalia Amilie Reaves and Isabelle "Belle" Carter

It wasn’t everyday you come crashing down the atmosphere of an uninhabited planet.

Belle honestly thought she was done for. When the pod began rocking back and forth and the sights behind the windows turned into nothing but indescribable blurs, she thought she was plummeting straight to hell. So, who could honestly blame her when the first thing that left her mouth after landing was: “Am I dead?

She let out a pained groan, her hands shakily fumbling with her safety belt until she managed to unlatch herself. Her knees felt like wet paper but she somehow pushed herself up on her feet; her head still ringing from the rough landing. Once her hazy vision cleared up, the flight attendant looked around, noticing the equally disoriented passengers she was sharing the pod with.

Meanwhile, Natalia stared upwards, trying to even her breathing to calm herself from the adrenaline of crashing. She shifted her gaze to the straps and unbuckled herself from her seat. She let her vision settle, not wanting to go weak in the knees before standing up.

It wasn’t long before one of them bolted out the door; his prompt action shortly followed by vomiting noises. Belle resisted the urge to grimace in disgust and instead, kept a leveled composure as she faced the rest of the occupants.

Okay, attention to all passengers: we’re not dead!” She flashed them a grin and two thumbs-up. They were definitely in a horrendous, atrocious, and terrible situation with a little to moderate chance of survival, but hey! There were worse things in life, no?

The younger woman got up from her seat, gazing over the other passengers with her. A small grimace fell on her as she heard the man spew out his meal for the day, can’t deny how disgusting it was after all. With a bland face, Natalia strode towards the teen and unbuckled her from her straps, “It’s okay now, come on.” She assisted her up slowly, not wanting for the teen to fall from disorientation.

I’m sure there’s an emergency kit here somewhere,” The young woman started, “Miss Carter? Do you know where it is?

Of course!” Belle immediately responded before walking towards one of the corners. There, she found the pod’s compartment where the supplies were stored. She opened the panel with ease and studied its contents.

Fortunately, Sunset Horizon is always prepared for any type of scenarios; hence, this pod is equipped with days worth of rations, bottles of purified water, medkits, and…,” she pulled out a small box and opened it, revealing what seemed to be a gun, “Emergency flares.” The attendant took the flare gun from its confines along with its provided ammunation.

Now, I know what happened was a lot, but I need my dear passengers to trust me and stay calm, alright?” She added, as though she wasn’t the one panicking during the pod’s escapade. The woman neared Natalia and the stunned teenager, placing a hand on the girl’s shoulder. “Don’t worry. Help will come as soon as possible. I’ll fire the flare and let the others know about our location. It'll be easier for the company to pick us up if we’re all together.” At the end, she was addressing everybody that landed with her.

Natalia gave Belle a doubtful side-eye and headed for the compartment, taking out bottles and handed it to everyone. “I suggest that you don’t drink it all at once.” She said giving a bottle first to the man who had to vomit after the landing. “Here, sir.” She walked over to the middle-aged woman and the child, handing them a bottle each then lastly to Belle and the teen.

"While it is all enough for us to last a few days, it would be best to think of things by the long run and not run ourselves dry if ever help comes at a later date.” She walked over to Belle and said, “Do you know how to fire the flare?

There was a brief silence before the ends of the attendant’s lips curled into a smile. “I do.” She said, eyes squinting before turning to her heels and walking outside. Once her face was out of Natalia’s sight, her smile immediately dropped into a frown.

Do you know how to fire the flare? Like wow, who do you freaking think you are!? Just because you can drive a pod and distribute water bottles doesn’t mean you’re more capable than me. In fact, I can do all of those things too! In fact, I can do a lot of things. I can even shove this gun down your freaking mouth and fire it, no!?

Belle secretly fumed while sashaying outside, reaching the spot where the man was hunched over with his puke tainting the grass. She reached out to pat his back in a soothing manner before walking past him; this time, she couldn’t help but cringe ever so slightly.

It was only when she was a couple of steps away from the man when she stopped, her eyes darting around as she absorbed her surroundings. It appeared they were in the middle of a dark forest; thick trees looming around them and casting their large shadows everywhere. It definitely looked spooky, Belle couldn’t deny. Although she supposed it could be worse. At least they didn’t land in the middle of an ocean.

With a roll of her shoulders, she pointed the pistol at the sky and fired, a long streak of red flare bursting from its barrel- a glaring sign of distress in the middle of the eerie woodlands. She watched the smoke for a little while, silently hoping that it wouldn’t attract unwanted attention instead. It was a risk, of course, but it wasn’t like they had other options. Their rations were here and it wasn’t like they could just blindly wander in this forest- who knows what kind of creatures lurk in the dark?

Speaking of creatures, Belle noticed something strange behind the veils of the tall trees. Now that everything was silent too, she could hear something chittering and leaves rustling. Realization dawned upon her when she remembered what she read about the planet’s inhabitants back on the ship, a couple of months ago when she had nothing else better to do.

Okay! Attention everyone!” She called out, her hands scrambling for the pearls on her ears. “I need all of you to take off anything shiny and hide them right now, please!

Natalia wanted to question as to why, but the attendant’s voice was urgent enough for her to ask later. She quickly unfastened her golden wristwatch, the only thing shiny on her person and pocketed it. Curious, Natalia walked outside to see what it was that got the woman riled up.

Like Belle, she could hear the chatter of something different, something surely not human. Upon straining her eye Natalia could see the glimmer of the eyes from the light from the sky. She inched closer, little by little until she had a good visual of it and it looked cute. “Interesting.” She said with interest at these new species that she’s seeing them for the first time.

Belle shot her a dubious glance from beside. “They’re called Sceds.” She pointed out, realizing that the other female had no idea what the monkey-like creatures were. “They’re not really harmful, per say, but they can be pretty…,” she squinted her eyes, “Annoying.

Natalia cocked her head to the side and gave out a small smile. “Well, they are oddly cute looking.” She said a little innocently.

Aww, that’s so sweet of you. I’m glad you can appreciate all kinds of lifeforms.” Belle replied before returning her gaze back on the primates. They were most definitely not cute, she noted.

'Miss Reaves definitely needs to get herself checked after this'

Like, maybe she could get it some solar power, maybe the tablet itself was solar powered. Whatever it was, it was necessary. There was no way this tablet would have enough charge throughout...whatever the fuck they were getting themselves into.

The pod launched, and she looked out to space. God, where was she? Where were they, exactly? She really hoped that the tablet had gotten that map, because she was up a creek without a paddle. For once, she was frightened as the lasers shot at the other pods, at the ship.

God, Sayo, Sir Kent.

This was awful. She should've paid attention more. Maybe the ticking...maybe she could've done something more. Something to keep them afloat. Anything more than just run. She wasn't supposed to run; she was supposed to face the danger, head on.

Thirty minutes, and her whole character had changed. She just hoped she could compose herself by the time they landed. She had to. Or she'd be next.

Fuck.

Lucy felt as she attached to the pod if possible Lucy would have sighed as she felt her power begin to refill, but even better a potential shell even if it would be momentary. Through the small crack of code in the shuttle, Lucy slips in. Moments later Lucy has access to the shuttles controls, cameras, and Comm systems. Still, this was far from what Lucy needed to regain her functions and knowledge.

As the shuttle shot through space, the lasers still continuing the silent onslaught onto Sunset Horizon. Now piloting the shuttle Lucy guided it descending towards the planet. Quickly Lucy ran diagnostics, all checked out. How fortunate for the humans within the vessel they should be thanking her for the smooth ride, working by her guidelines that were built into her flight command Lucy avoided debris with ease as the grew closer to the planet.

Before the shuttle broke the atmosphere Lucy launched a distress signal after assessing situations and sent all details of it. Lucy knew that it would land only of deaf ears but for the sake of the humans and following her Crisis Protocol, Lucy sent it regardless. They would break the atmosphere in exactly 1 minute as Lucy played the safety guidelines through the shuttle's speakers this time. "Please follow the guidelines, also make sure to stay strapped in I would really prefer that not to have my insides plastered with your Insides, enjoy the landing!" Lucy finished off with.

The container that Raven tripped over contained dried food packages, a medical kit, some water bottles and a flare gun. It seemed enough supplies to last a few days with a full compliment within the escape pod in order to await for rescue.

With her knees wobblily, one of the cooking staff members came rushing over to her to help with the container. "Are you alright? You don't look so good. Here. Let me help you."

Looking further on the plain, there appeared to be some horse like creatures. They seemed gaunt, a faded orange in color, a long tail and looked extremely fast from this distance.

To the west, out of the forest, a flare appeared up in the sky.

Some of the passengers were calmed or mollified by the words of the employee that was with them. The young girl in the yellow outfit smiled. At least someone gave the impression of knowing how to help them. It was enough for her that someone was wanting to help.

The man excepted the water bottle and took a heart swig. Considering they didn't know what they were going to have, he knew that he had to conserve the water, but he also needed to get the taste of vomit out of his mouth and stay hydrated enough til they could get more supplies.

The other members of the escape pod took the offered water as well.

At the words given that they should hide any shiny objects, the man with the suitcase scoffed, but removed his watch. The middle aged woman removed a pearl necklace and silver bracelets, placing them in her black pocket book. The young boy, looking less confused, placed his portable game device into his mother's black pocket book. The young girl removed a silver heart necklace.

The flare seemed to attract more Sced to the treeline. One of them dropped down onto the pod and started approaching Natalia.

Dan checked the number of flares. It was three total. The rest of the supplies that they had in the pod was more than enough for the compliment that was brought along in it as it was designed to last a few days with a full compliment of passengers within.

Outside appeared to be no danger. A flock of Phylan were flying over head deeper into the mountain range. The group was able to see off in the distance towards the direction of the plains, a flare up in the sky.

Rex would know that that was in fact coming from the direction of one of the pods. The two elderly grandparents and their grandchild were following the lead of the two employees.

"That's good. I'm glad to hear it." The attractive woman smiled at Gabriel as she moved away, only turning back to him when he was saying his suggestion to the group.

The group seemed to mumble in agreement of Gabriel's suggestion about spending the night in the pod and then trying to set up shelter the next day with a fresh start. The seedy looking man was gathering up some twigs that were on the shoreline in order to set up a fire as the carbs started to move a bit closer. The woman was doing an inventory of their supplies and moved closer to Gabriel.

"It looks as though we have enough supplies for a handful of days. Food, Water, medical supplies....and this." She handed him a flare gun. "I counted 3 shots with it. Oh! My name is Tina, by the way. I just realized that I hadn't introduced myself."

Lucy managed to steer the escape pod past the worst of the other pod and space debris as well as avoiding the laser fire that was threatening to kill them. A signal seemed to be calling to Lucy from somewhere on the planet. It was a familiar feeling that she just couldn't place her bits on. She managed to land their pod, just outside of a large, dark forest. To the EAST was a large open plain.

The robot looked over at Danny and replied. "Right away valued sir." It stopped what it was doing with the other robots and walked over to a container that happened to be within the pile of destroyed robots and pulled out a beer. It popped off the top and handed it to Danny.

"Here you are valued customer. Is there anything else that you require?"

Surprisingly the drink is still cold. The sound of chittering could be heard within the trees.

Gabriel Jurado
To Gabriel's relief, he heard words of agreement spread through the small crowd. His heart sank when the cyborg woman strode up to him.

"Looky here, someone's got half a brain cell, impressive," she remarked, coming uncomfortably close to his face. He wanted to shrink away, but he didn't want to show his embarrassment, or, to be honest, fear. So he held her gaze steadily.

"Listen, standing here trying to insult me isn't going to help our situation. We should both do something productive to help us survive. Like that gentleman over there." he said, nodding his head in the direction of a man collecting sticks for a fire. Without saying anything else, he walked off. He boarded the pod to look for supplies. He found an emergency survival kit under one of the seats, and opened it to see what they had to work with. The fancily dressed woman walked up beside him.

"It looks as though we have enough supplies for a handful of days. Food, Water, medical supplies....and this." She handed him a flare gun. "I counted 3 shots with it. Oh! My name is Tina, by the way. I just realized that I hadn't introduced myself." Tina said. Gabriel's face turned red, realizing he hadn't introduced himself either.

"Oh, um, it's nice to meet you Tina. My name's Gabriel. Gabriel Jurado," he said. He smiled shyly, then exited the pod, feeling embarrassed. Just then, he saw a flare come up out of the woods to the west of them.

"It looks like survivors from another pod have already fired their flare. I think we should do the same. That way we could meet up in the middle, so we don't get lost looking for each other." he suggested. Then he grabbed a flare, loaded the gun, and shot it into the sky. It soared far beyond the tips of the tallest trees on the beach, then exploded in a bright brilliant flash. He took a deep breath, thinking about what to do next. They probably should hike into the woods to find other survivors, but everybody was tired, so they should have a chance to rest first. But they couldn't rest for long, because it was very important to find survivors and collect things that would be good for a camp.

"We should take a brief rest. Not long, only about fifteen minutes, maybe. Then I think we should have a group of people go into the forest and look for the survivors who sent the flare up."

"Flare. Sir." Rex called inside, pointing towards the direction where the flare had come from. Dan quickly exited the pod to check and nodded. That meant that there were other survivors in the world. With how dangerous it is, it might not last - but it would be better to have a direction to go off of instead of wandering aimlessly while waiting to die.

"Let's head on over then. If there are other people who saw that flare, I assume they'd be going in the same direction." Dan pointed out after a moment's thought. He turned to the family that they crashed with. "Our supplies can last us a few days and we have three rounds in the flare gun. I believe it would be for the best to be honest with our situation."

As Dan explained the situation to the family, Rex followed the flock of Phylan with his eyes as they flew deeper into the mountains. Could it be that there was some danger that came from the direction where the Phylans came from? They didn't seem to be coming from the direction of the flare, so it should be safe.

"Please tell us if you need to rest or need any supplies." Dan finished, gesturing towards the supplies that Rex was carrying. "We need to move before it gets too dark. Hopefully we find shelter once the light disappears." With that thought in mind, they began their walk towards the open field with Rex staying at the front and Dan at the back to make sure that the family is at least a bit protected.

Natalia Amilie Reaves and Isabelle "Belle" Carter

Natalia watched the one Sced that came to approach her. The woman couldn't quite tell if the creature was young or fully matured, just that it was small. She couldn't help but crouch down, making herself smaller but it was clear that she was bigger than the Sced, reaching with her index finger she gave a small greeting to the species. "Hello."

The Sced crooked its head from one side to another as if it was wondering what was it that was presented to it. It took a step closer and took a sniff, leaving Natalia to laugh a little. She slowly twisted her wrist and opened her palm which the small primate was quick to accept.

It chittered as it crawled from her palm and to her upper arm. "Watch your step," Natalia said as the Sced jumped to her head and chittered some more, slipping on her hair. A laugh escaped from her lips, though others may not find it amusing as much as she is. "You are awfully chittery. Should I give you a name?" Looking over at Belle she continued, "What do you think, Ms. Carter?"

The attendant looked at her from head to toe. “How bizarre,” she murmured, “You have nothing lustrous yet it approached you.” She cupped her own chin thoughtfully before focusing her attention on the small primate, tilting her head to the side slightly as they locked gazes. Interestingly, the Sced followed her movement and tipped its head in a similar manner.

Belle suppressed a frown and straightened herself, her eyes returning to the other woman. “I think our new friend here likes you, Ms. Reaves.” A smile tugged on her lips before she turned to face the dark forest once again. “However, I can’t help but notice how more and more of its kind seemed to have flocked around us.” She was referring to the glinting eyes from the obscured, thick branches surrounding them.

Her eyes followed to look at the other of its kind and gave a thoughtful humm. "I agree on both statements." The Sced continued to stay at the top of her head, not sliding anymore but creating quite a mess of her dark silky locks. Natalia chucked at this and took the little creature from its playground. "They don't seem harmful, playful but harmless."

"I think I'll call you Chistery. Like the flying monkey from the book that I used to read." Natalia claimed while holding onto the small primate before setting it down to the ground. "You should go." The woman pushed Chistery to the forest, giving it a wave as it went back but not before looking back at her.

Surely the little creature has a family out there, that's why she made it go back to the forest. It reminded her that, even she has a family out there. Hopefully.

"Uncle Nathan has always been selfless, putting others before himself. I wonder if he landed on this planet too? Is he alive? Is he trapped in space, even with the high possibility of being dead?" Her grim thoughts flowing out of her mouth. She always had a few moments where her thoughts became dark, unbefitting for social interaction, as much as she tries to hide it. "I'm sorry. A bad habit," Natalia dismissed before continuing. "I will head inside and see if the ship can still be of use for communicating." With her head hung low, she walked back into the pod.

A deep scowl crossed Belle’s features when Nathalia turned on her heels. She then followed after her, placing a hand on her shoulder before she could even take a few more steps away. “Please cheer up, Ms. Reaves.” She started, lips curled into a gentle smile. “I may not know your uncle as well as you do but I’ve been working with him for years now. He’s an absurdly resourceful and clever man. If anything, I think he’d have better chances at survival than both you and I combined.” She chuckled.

Well, not really; Belle wished she could say. She probably had better survival skills than the old man but Natalia didn’t know that. Besides, the younger female was starting to get broody and it might affect the mood of the other passengers. Obviously, Belle couldn’t have that. The last thing she wanted was to spend days stuck with depressed individuals.

"That is true," She agreed, but she didn't smile from it. A seriousness donning her face, "Thank you." Knowing all too well that the older woman was trying to cheer her up. "Don't worry about me, I'll be fine." She assured before opening her own bottle of water and taking a few small gulps.

Belle let out a short laugh. “I’m sure you’ll be fine, Ms. Reaves.” She commented before rolling her eyes when the other woman was busy drinking water. ‘Please stop flattering yourself. I’m not worried about you, I’m worried about my job.’ She then clapped her hands together, “That said, we can try and emulate your uncle’s resourcefulness by crafting something useful.

Before continuing on her walk to the pod, Natalia listened to Belle's suggestion to which she replied, "Intriguing." She said with a small smile, "I'll help you with it."

Much appreciated, ma’am!” The attendant enthusiastically saluted before fishing something from her pocket. A few moments later and a leather wallet left its depth, her deft hands opening them only to pull out something that looked like a card. “Can you help me search for a twig about this size?” She formed a circle by joining the tips of her thumb and index finger.

Sure.” Natalia replied although she did wonder if the salute was necessary. She took off her jacket and wrapped it around her waist. She wasn’t much for physical labor but it was logical to help each other during a crisis. “What are we making?

It was then when the attendant fell silent and looked around as if suddenly extra wary of their surroundings. She then leaned closer to the girl and her voice dropped to a whisper, “A makeshift spear.

It was not what the younger woman was expecting to hear but she was all for it. It would be very useful for protection and gathering food. Natalia nodded, “Sounds good, but is there really a need to whisper? It’s just us.” And by ‘us’ she meant the two of them and the other four occupants of the pod. She felt like there wasn’t any need to keep things a secret since they are all in the same situation.

Suddenly, Belle bursted into a laugh. “What a funny question, Ms. Reaves.” She waved her hand dismissively before leading the way back to the border where the trees stood. “Please look at the rest of my beloved passengers,” they looked horrible, Belle wished she could add, “The last thing they need is to be plunged deeper into paranoia.” She then crouched down to examine a fallen twig before hitting it against a nearby rock, causing the object to easily break. “And the last thing the two of us need is a bunch of hysterical people.” She threw the pieces away before looking for another.

You saw it yourself. Our flare attracted more Sceds. Who knows what other creatures it might have attracted as well?

I get that the flare may have attracted other creatures other than the Sceds, but shouldn’t they know just as much? What they should be prepared for?” But who was she to talk, she’d never been in this kind of situation. Her eyes wandered the field and saw what looked like the right amount of thickness that Belle was asking for, “How about these? And how many would we need?

Oh for goodness’ sake! What do you want me to tell them then? Attention all passengers, impending doom ahead! Our flare might have attracted a two-headed, carnivorous bear or something! That’s all. Have a nice day!’ Belle thought to herself before turning around to look at whatever it was the young engineer picked.

Natalia might be an arrogant dunderhead but she at least knew how to pick the right stick. “Oh hey! That’s perfect.” Belle waltzed towards her and accepted the stick. She eyed it for a few more moments before finally deciding, “Okay, I’ll stay here and sharpen this up. How about you check up on the other passengers while I do that?” As if to emphasize her point, she fumbled with her card and folded some of its edges until it transformed into a pocket-sized knife.

Handing the stick to Belle, Natalia watched as the other woman revealed a pocket knife. “Yeah, I’ll check up on them.” She walked back slowly, scratching the back of her head as thoughts meddled her mind. Was it so bad for the others to know what they should expect?

A sigh escaped her lips as she approached the man who was puking not too long ago. Her hand placed over his shoulder, she asked. “How are you, sir?

Araña recognized that voice. Okay, maybe this tablet was...more than a tablet. She'd have to study that later, but it was quite obvious - the way it was controlling this escape pod? Unnatural. Maybe it was an AI. If she'd known that, and if she'd known that she would have been separated from Sayo and Sir Kent, then maybe she would have listened to what it was saying to her earlier. All she could think back to, as the escape pod was maneuvered by the AI in question, was that ticking noise she'd heard from the malfunctioning robot before everything had gone down.

Had something happened, while everyone was preoccupied? Was that robot a distraction for what was really going on? So many questions, and she had not even one fucking answer. It was stressful. With code, it was easy. There was always something out of place. But here? In the real world? There were so many factors. So many things that could have gone wrong.

She had to figure it out.

As the pod landed, she needed to get out, immediately. She tapped the screen of the tablet - 'give me just a second', came the binary - before she stepped outside, taking in a large gulp of air. She noted the plain they were on, but her eyes looked upwards, to the sky, to where her ride had been. Shit. This was all so bad. And there probably wasn't anyone at home who knew about it.

After a minute, she came back in, grabbing the tablet, and ignoring most of the people in the escape pod with her. She couldn't deal with any more hysteria besides the running thoughts in her own head. Ana spoke, her voice reflecting how shaken she was from the experience.

"The map?"

As planned the pod was landed without a problem and all the humans within had followed the guidelines and had survived the landing. Once again that girl seemed to be interested in Lucy Once settled Lucy unlocked and opened the door of the escaped pod. "Ok! everyone out we have arrived now so makes sure you take your belongings with you! Which is probably none. Once outside make sure to follow the Survival guide so that you can... like survive" Lucy began running through the Survival guide through the speakers. "Alright if you understand please follow all steps for your own safety! If you don't understand, then.... good luck surviving!"

As Lucy was organizing the information she had on the planet as the girl who had plugged her entered the shuttle. She had done a good job ignoring the others withing the escape pod so no one asked her what she was doing as she removed the tablet part of me was in and left. It wasn't much having just two places to grow myself but it would work for now. Once she had walked away from the others again she asked about a map. From the data that Lucy had been sorting she was able to find the layouts of the area. Lucy brings up on the screen the makeshift map that she had made.

Raven felt the wind against her face for the first time in a long time. She brushed her hair out of her face to get a clear view of the scenery before her, creatures resembling horses ran across the large, grassy field, not a cloud obscured the deep serene. The survivors stood in complete silence not too far from her, soaking in their new surroundings; Raven began trudging towards them, container in hand.

A crew member spotted her wobbling towards the rest of the group and immediately came to her aid, Raven accepted the help offered to her and shared the weight of the container. "Thanks, I'm alright... I just need some time to process everything," she replied thoughtfully.

Once everyone was gathered and formally introduced to each other, they began assessing their situation. It was all very confusing, but the crew members were able to provide some answers. "Wait, so this planet was part of the tour? What else can you tell me about this place?" Raven asked with furrowed brows. No one really knew what had happened back there, there were several theories, but Raven was only interested in the facts. Right now she was soaking up every morsel of information she could get about their whereabouts to survive, they could figure out the rest later.

Lucius sat in the pod, his mind walking through scenario after scenario trying to find a way to around this predicament, then he noticed his golden ticket,

he walked over to raven appearing caring and nurturing, before he unveiled his plan, seizing the flare gun from the box and grabbing onto Natalia, using her as a shield and pointing the flare gun into her mouth.

"play along" he whispered into her ear.

"Listen here you bastards, if you don't want her dead, I would recommend dropping the weapons and handing over the container," Lucius said in a calm and commanding voice.

"After that I want Leadman to accompany me into the forest, I would like to find my companion you happened to assault" he continued "and don't you think about anything funny, I should state I happen to be a general of datum Paradisum, you know the planet of immortals"

The member of the cooking staff smiled at Raven. He had brown hair, was taller than the woman he was assisting and was wearing an apron as part of the kitchen staff.

"I completely understand. I mean, we were all just working our normal shift when the alarms went off. It was completely insane. Especially when that one guys started destroying robots and throwing people out of the escape pod. I couldn't believe my eyes. There were plenty of pods in the area. He didn't have to hurt people."

The man held out his hand. "I'm sorry. I didn't introduce myself. I'm Robert. I was a line cook on the Sunset Horizon. And yeah, this planet had a few tour ships that would come down to do flybys of the planet from a safe distance. All I know from what we get told in orientation is that this planet is dangerous. And that it contains extremely unique flora and fauna that many people would want to get their hands on. In fact, that's why this place is just so protected. I heard that poaches and pirates would steal animals and plants from here and sell them to the highest bidders..."

Before he could continue, Lucious came up behind Raven wielding the flare gun.

Some of the cooking staff froze up. That is, except for Robert and the one holding the pipe. Robert spoke up. "You let her go. Do you really think that you can survive on this planet by yourself? It's extremely dangerous. And if you shoot that off, you might just kill us all. I don't care if you're some fancy General."

The popping sound of a flare going off into the air could be heard and seen to the south of their position going along after the previosu one that had gone off to their East.

The man had been looking off deeper into the forest. He seemed to jump a little bit when Natalia put her hand over his shoulder and then calmed down a bit. 'Ah, its you. Sorry. I was afraid it was one of those monkey looking creatures out there or something worse that was about to attack me and have me for it's dinner. I'm....."

The man looked down at his suitcase. "....I'm a bit terrified out of my gourd, y'know? Everything I have left is inside this suitcase of mine right now. And I don't even think that will be a comfort to me."

The young woman in the yellow dress wandered into the pod and walked over to Isabelle. "Thank you. You've helped keep everyone calm. Myself included. And I wanted to say thank you."

The group started to move towards the open fields. Crossing into the fields, the entire area looked as though it was much larger than it had been viewing it from the area near the mountains where it was all much more closed off. Now they were in the open plains and a steep, but cool breeze moved through the air. The tall grass started to move in the wind and up ahead the horselike Gaunts could be seen.

A small herd of them were grazing. Many were still grazing, but a couple were now eyeing the group and keeping sure that there wasn't going to be any trouble.

To the South of their new position, a flare came up into the sky. The Guants started to look a bit skiddish after that and moved a little bit aways.

Tina nodded and smiled at Gabriel's suggestion. "Sounds great. I'll let the others know." When Sandra took off without the group, contrary to Gabriel's plan, she gave a bit of a huff. "What's her problem? I thought your plan was pretty good. And at least someone was taking charge."

Then Tina walked away, her hips sashaying as she went around and let the others know that they were all going to take a break and then go after the flare that was in the woods. The others sat down, or laid down in the sand and started to try to recover themselves now that they had a moment to think and let dawn on them all that had happened.

Sandra and Dray headed off away from the beach and towards the forest. The first thing that they noticed in the forest, was that it was getting darker and darker the further that they went in. The second was that they felt as though they were being watched by at least dozens of small little eyes from up on the branches.

A flare went up into the air from the southeast of their position and a handful of minutes later, a woman wandered from that position into the forest. It looked as though she was on a mission and not really paying attention to anyone. Almost as though she was talking with someone else inside her head.

The rudimentary map that was shown, showed the forest that they were next to, a large plain next to that. To the South was a long beach. Further to the East past the plains was a large mountain range.

Gabriel Jurado
Gabriel cursed under his breath as Sandra stalked off into the woods. Tina walked up to him.

"What's her problem? I thought your plan was pretty good. And at least someone was taking charge." she huffed. Gabriel shook his head.

"I don't have a clue, but we can't let her go out there alone. She could get killed, or, best case scenario, she finds survivors, but can't find her way back to here." he sighed. "I'm going after her," he turned around and called to the rest of the group, "I'm going with her, because it's too dangerous for anyone to go out on their own. I don't thing that any of you should come, we don't want more people lost, and there's no need to send more than one person after her. We might not be able to come back by dark." Without listening to what anybody else was saying, or looking back to see who was following, Gabriel turned around and started to walk towards the forest. He began to pick up his pace until he was sprinting. He needed to catch up to that annoying cyborg.

Gabriel dashed around the trees, trying to find Sandra. You're such and idiot! he told himself, if I'd came a bit sooner, I might have had a chance of finding her. Now I'm going to get lost, or she's lost and I won't be able to find her. Oh, god, what have I gotten myself into? He tried to push those morbid thoughts out of his mind. He knew he had to focus on the problem at hand and not on thinking about himself getting lost or killed. If he really did focus, he could find Sandra, or at least get himself not lost. Maybe he could even find some survivors. That stupid cyborg! She's so annoying. She's the reason I'm lost right now! But he kept wandering through the strange, dark woods. Despite himself, Gabriel was starting to feel fear for Sandra. I guess it really isn't her fault. I was trying to take control. And my poor navigation skills are the reason I'm lost, not her. And if she's lost too, she's probably feeling just as scared as I am. He felt miserable. Maybe, if she was lost, it was his fault that she was lost, not the other way around.

Just then, Gabriel caught movement out of the corner of his eye. He turned around, and saw the one person he wanted to see most of all.
Sandra! Then, he noticed something even better. He saw an escape pod ahead! And some survivors!

"Sandra!" he yelled, "we found the survivors!" he ran up to her, bracing himself, because he knew she would almost certainly be really mad. "Sorry I followed you. I didn't want you to get lost, and god knows what creatures live in these woods." Then, without waiting for Sandra to speak, he turned to the survivors, who were standing staring at them.

"Um, hi," Gabriel said awkwardly, "I'm Gabriel. Gabriel Jurado. Our pod crash-landed on a beach, to the south of here," he offered a shy smile, "it's good to see more people survived."

"Oh yeah, that guy was totally wasted," Raven responded to appear agreeable and shook the cook's hand. "Thanks for the help, Robert. I'm Daisy," she took on a new identity with alarmingly casual promptness.

Raven tried to learn as much as she could about the planet they were on before Lucius pulled her away. Raven was taken aback to say the least, she had barely survived a ship wreck moments ago and now had a gun pointed at her. What was even happening? Had Lucius lost it? She wouldn't blame him if he did - Oh. He hadn't. Okay, this is all a set up. He was now demanding the container for himself, as well as for everyone else to drop their weapons. Huh, so this is his game plan. She didn't think Lucius was capable of doing anything like this, but then again, he did kill a robot with a freaking spoon earlier. She was kind of impressed. She did her best to look scared throughout the commotion. Unfortunately for them though, his plan flopped. They weren't having it, and honestly, why would they give up their livelihood for two complete strangers? Okay, well, this has gone on long enough, she had to think of a way to deescalate the situation while rectifying Lucius' image if they were all going to work together. She knew she could pull it off, she just had to think about it for a moment. Think... think...

Oh!

As if on cue, tears began seeping down Raven's cheeks. She turned around, releasing herself from Lucius' grasp and slapped him across the face. "Cut it out!"

She turned to the rest of the group with trembling lips and bloodshot eyes. "I'm sorry, everyone... My husband and I... we recently lost our only child. We thought going on Sunset Horizon was going to help us... but clearly, it hasn't. It's been so hard, and I don't know what to do," Raven buried her face in her hands to insinuate embarrassment. She was in her zone, the way she altered her speech and body language to complement her narrative was surreal, only a few could match her in the art of manipulation, if at all. In that moment, Raven had become Daisy.

Natalia couldn't help but give a reassuring smile at the man at the remembrance of the cute sced she encountered earlier, "Don't worry, the monkeys are anything but as you thought. In fact, they're quite friendly." She told him, looking rather despondent at the mention of what was left. "This is... an unexpected event for all of us, you're not the only one sir." She said a bit grimly before walking away. "You should rest up inside the pond sir."

The young woman then walked over to the child and older woman, "How are are you both?" Kneeling so that her eyes would meet the child better. "I'm sure the events has been quite the shock, are you... his mother?" The question directed to the woman as she stared at the youngster and gave him a sweet smile, albeit not genuine as she wanted to be.

Dan let out a small chuckle as they spotted the herd of Gaunts to the side. They were completely harmless, as far as everyone knew. They seemed to act like horses. "I used to ride horses you know?" He mused as they continued to walk, eyes drawn to the peaceful herd as they flickered into sight every now and then as the tall grass swayed. "It was really fun. I wish I could have spent more time doing it."

"You had to leave, sir?" Rex questioned, looking back for a moment to look at his companion employee.

"School." He responded with an idle shrug. "It happens you know? You gotta move out from your hometown to continue your studies." Dan scratched the back of his head. "And then I got busy with work so..."

"Understandable, sir. Though it is a shame, riding horses sound... fun." The robot wouldn't exactly know what fun is for people. According to his observations, fun is a very subjective term. While others find an action terrifying, others find it fun to do. Observations state that it makes people's hearts speed up and their brain releases certain chemicals that make them happy. It was a very fascinating thing to learn about. "Do you think you can recreate it with these Gaunts?"

"Stupid. They're going to either run away or trample us."

"I'm aware sir. It was a joke."

"Oh."

Their conversation was cut off as Rex called attention to another flare coming form the south. According to his calculations, it certainly wasn't the same area from which the earlier flare was at. "We can safely assume that there are two surviving pods and the second one fired their flare into the air as a response to the first flare." Rex pointed out. "There is a possibility that they will not sit idly and, instead, meet up. Shall we shift locations and head towards a possible midpoint?"

Dan rubbed his chin in thought. "Sure. But have you gotten their pods' locations?"

"Yes sir."

He nodded. "Alright. Just in case we don't meet them in this midpoint, we can just head off to either direction of the pods and hopefully stumble into the group there. Does that sound good to you guys?" He asked their passengers to make sure that they know they have an opinion in their plans.

"A pillow? No thanks."

Danny shotgunned the beer. He began spraying foam and spittle on the robots face plate when he started choking.

Coughing out his next words he gave orders. "Robot, find me all the useful equipment you can find. We are going for a hike. I am going to find the pilot of this barge and make his insides his outsides."

Oddly enough, Belle would rarely hear a passenger showing sincere gratitude like this.

It was one of the downs when working with affluent communities. Most of them usually had this mindset that amassing more wealth than others made them superior. That they were no longer bounded by the rules of ethics and morality. Usually, she'd find them repulsing. But lately, she grew to understand. It was just how the world is. Only the ones with power get to rule, and the line between money and power was basically nonexistent.

Nevertheless, this didn't stop the attendant from smiling at the young woman. She paused from sharpening the branch Natalie picked and focused on her brightly-clothed companion. "I'm simply doing my duty, ma'am." It was the truth, but she also wanted to seem cool. She might leave a nice review for her once they were all back home safely. "But knowing that you appreciate my efforts delights me."

The thought made her pause to ponder for a bit. She wondered if anybody saw the flare they fired and were now making their way towards them. They would probably have better chances at survival if they had greater numbers. Besides, they could share resources- although there were also cases in which a survival scenario ended poorly because someone got greedy. Well, if ever someone did try anything funny and put either her or her passengers into harm's way, she would have a trusty spear and years worth of experience to help her.

Robert, jumped when Daisey had broken out of Lucius's grasp and slapped him hard across the face. What was going on? And then it all snapped into place. They were together and had lost a child. The staff all still looked on edge, but there was sympathy in their eyes. The loss of a child was nothing to sneeze at. It was a major life change and everyone knew that it could cause drastic and erratic behavior. They weren't going to back down however until Lucius did.

With that, she left out of the pod and walked back to the group.

The man looked up at Natalie. "I think that you might be right." He got up, gathered his belongings and went to the pod to lay down.

The woman smiled a sort of sad smile. "Yes. I'm his mother and it has been a dreadfully shocking time. I never would have gone on this cruise if I had thought that something like this would have happened. It's most dreadful. And now we are trapped ion a dark forest surrounded by monkeys. To Gabriel's surprise and relief, Sandra didn't seem to mind too much that he'd followed her into the woods. A few moments after they'd introduced themselves, a couple of monkey-like creatures screeched in interest and hopped down onto Sandra. Gabriel failed to suppress a small chuckle. Even though times were dire and they had to talk to the other survivors, seeing weird monkey-alien things poke Sandra, the prickly cyborg, was freaking hilarious. He forced himself to turn towards the survivors, who hadn't even seemed to notice them. Weird. How could they not tell that two survivors were walking out of the woods? Well, there was to point in just standing there.

"C'mon," he said to Sandra.

He ran forwards until he was standing right in front of the pod. He turned to the woman who looked to be an attendant.
"I'm Gabriel Jurado. Our pod crash-landed on a beach little ways from here," he smiled a small smile at her, "and this is a... friend of mine. Her name's Sandra. She crashed in the same pod as me. There are five more survivors back at our pod."

Gabriel looked down at his shoes as he waited for a response. Nothing had gone as planned. Before he could even see Asher Knowles in person, the ship crashed, he'd had to socialize a lot, which he'd vowed not to do when he boarded the Sunset Horizon, and now he was stuck on a planet with an annoying and prickly cyborg. Could things even be worse? Yes, they could. I could be marooned completely alone. We could have been the only survivors. And even if there had been, we could have not found them. But still. Things were really bad. Gabriel glanced back up at the attendant, and waited for her to respond.

Araña glanced over the map. Okay, well at least...they had one thing that was useful, at the moment. A slight idea of where they were, and where to do. Shit, she should have asked for this AI to grab a report on this planet. Why wasn't her head on straight? The flare went off in the background and Ana wasn't paying attention to it, more focused on remembering as much as she could about the map. She cursed lowly to herself as she continued to look, although something in the corner of her eye caught her attention.

A woman, just...walking into the forest, all willy nilly. At a time like this, she was going off by herself ? Her eyes flickered back to the AI. So, she was real enough to speak through technology, so...she'd speak to her, softly.

"Hey, so. Do we follow the weird woman who might have something to do with the ship crashing, or do we follow the flare?"

She'd let this AI make the decision. Maybe. Maybe she was already following after the woman, and would only be stopped if the AI said different. Okay, not maybe. She definitely would only be stopped if the AI wasn't a fan of the plan. Ana just had to know who the woman was, and what she was doing.
