Summoned of the Magus World

Berserker

Berserker quickly ran after the serpent, ripping a tree up in the process before swinging it as a makeshift club. They had to kill the snake. That won't be hard if he slammed the tree on the creature's head repetitively.

He would slam the tree down at the head after leaping, aiming to use force. If the snake evaded and tried biting.... Well, Hercules had a snack ready for it to choke on.

Huntress

With the snake's charge a failure thanks to the massive half-giant, she had more room to shoot, and even more places to put her arrows into with the aid of the more familiar looking knightly character. She nocked another arrow as the serpent began to retreat, her body tensing in visible anger at the sight of the cowardly creature retreating. The flaming form of the elemental gave her an idea as she advanced on the creature. With a running start, she advanced towards Heatblast's position and got into yelling range.

"Elemental! Get close, I've got an idea!" The elf shouted to the living flame, halting fire for just a moment. "If you come down here, I can fire my arrows through your flame, and light the beast's innards!" A few arrows weaved past her allies and into the serpent's vulnerable spots, especially since it was putting itself into such a disadvantaged position.

Grace had watched as the truck's bumper had literally bumped out of the snake and fallen back into the floor with a weird 'TCHACK' sound. Huh, it was plastic or some really thin and cheap metal. She made a mental note to remember that and then a new one that chucking trash at snakes didn't work the same as it did for the desert worms. Maybe because they were blind and had evolved to hear at different and extended ranges. The snake had not. It was just a normal snake. There weren't snakes in the wasteland, perhaps the worms and wolves had either brought them to extinction or scared them away.

Either way, the serpent had started turning around when the wizard-man had spoken again and told them to not let the snake escape.

The sudden movement of the old-man cover had startled Sky, who gave a jump backwards and hissed at him for not being a good hiding place. Seeing the snake attempt to flee, the kitten then decided it would be a good idea to try and scare the creature away, because he was a cat and not afraid of anything, obviously. So as they made their third barrage of attack towards the slithery reptile there Sky was, pretending to help as he hissed, pretended to scratch the snake from a distance and ran left and right continuously giving off excited high pitched meows. To the dirty white kit, this was nothing more than playtime and he was loving it.

If the situation had been another, Grace would have enjoyed watching his antics.

Buuuut, with a huge snake on the loose, the maid had not been paying attention to him, instead, wondering just what to do. She had a new order to follow, to stop the creature from leaving, yet the combined efforts of the others seemed to either hinder her capability to help or make it into a completely moot point as they seemed to have it solved... The android tilted her head as if trying to see the scene from a new point of view, a while to the right, then to the left, then right again. Oh! It wouldn't be as helpful, but there was something that she could do!

Taking advantage of the fact that the serpent was both sunk to the ground and frozen in place, Grace took this opportunity to run over there and then, sit on top of its tail. Probably not as big as an effort as the others had done, but one should never sub-estimate the added weight of all those cables, components and what not. She could deadlift a car, Grace's android weight was not something to be easily dismissed...

If one of the others looked at her, the girl would wave at them happily and state that "Grace is doing her best too!", confidently holding her fists up as if wanting to be acknowledged.

In the background, Sky continued to have a great time running here and there, until he got exhausted and plopped down on the floor to rest, feeling quite content with himself. Take that you big, lizard thing!

"You talking to me?" Heatblast asks, picking the conversation up pretty well as he generated flames in his palms. "Alright, light 'em up!"

Heatblast unleashes a thin stream of flames in a direction away from the serpent, awaiting Huntress to ignite her arrows with it.

"No offense," Heatblast says to Grace, "but you'd probably be doing better if you were tickling it or something."

Ryuga shook his surprise on the giant iceberg when he saw one of the summoned persons, a large, brown skinned buff guy ripping off a tree and jumping over to the top of the ice berg, using the tree to pummel on the snake. Looks like they both have similar ideas.

"Alright!" Ryuga grinned as he gripped the handle of the device on his belt, cranking it a few times before spreading his arms apart, the serpentine energy dragon from his first finisher appearing once more as he leapt onto the air.

READY?! GO!! DRAGONIC FINISH!

The energy dragon spewed blue fire directly below Ryuga, propelling his upwards towards the giant snake's head, performing a high kick just as he reached its jaw, passing by it just as the blue flames of the kick which accompanied his foot had hit its mark. As Ryuga landed on the ground, he turned around to see if the thing was still alive, putting on a fighting stance when what appears a teenaged girl sitting on the snake's tail which was left unfrozen for some reason.

"What the-- Why the hell are you sitting there?!" Ryuga called out to the girl, unaware of her and what she's doing to the snake's tail. "Get out of there, that thing could kill you!"

The fire creature had talked to her. It was odd, Grace had seen fire before, it's what people would use to cook their nourishments, or scare wolves away with and so so many other things... But this... It was fire, it certainly looked like fire, and ground and yet her system would tell her it was alive. It could also speak. What? How? How was fire also a living thing? The android had no idea of how to even categorize this being in her databank, it just didn't make sense.

So when he spoke to her, Grace's reaction had been oddly delayed. At first, she had just stared at the interesting creature curiously, remaining still and not even blinking as she tried to process these much confusion bits of information. It was an eerie, awkward staring contest, where neither knew what the other was thinking... Until she had finally blinked again, looking at the firey being akin to a lost child:

"Sorry, Grace doesn't have 'tickling' on her database... How does Grace accomplish the 'ticking' action to assist fire creature in containing the snake better?"

"What the-- Why the hell are you sitting there?!"

A new male's voice had asked, prompting the android maid to look at its direction, soon smiling as she repeated her statement:

"Grace is helping!", she let out proud, tilting her head once the other had talked again, "Grace is a lot heavier than the average human being, so she's pinning the serpent down with herself. ...Is it not good?"

She blinked back at the man, awaiting him to say more words at her. The warning the android had received didn't make much sense to her since she was not considered a living being and therefore could not exactly 'die' the same way organic creatures could. She had stared at the colorful-armored person as if he had just spouted lines and more lines of absolute nonsense.

Sky had at this point laid down near the wizard and was soundly asleep, scaring more snakes and other giant creatures with his impressive hunting moves in the realm of dreams.

Huntress

A volley of arrows shot through the stream of flames, the iron tipped darts now aflame. Underneath the black void of her hood, she grinned to herself. It wasn't often that she met a magic user outside of her team, nonetheless a fire-mage. Kicks, trees and even a girl, or something. She couldn't comprehend, and refused to comprehend why that girl decided to sit on the tail of the giant monster serpent.

This set of facts nearly caused her to falter in her draw speed due to a mixture of confusion, concern, and rage. Why?

"Grace is a lot heavier than the average human being, so she's pinning the serpent down with herself. ...Is it not good?"

Did she want to get hit by stray arrows? "Elemental, you'll have to excuse me." She stated, loosing only a single arrow before gesturing to the girl who foolishly sat on the tail of the snake, a gust of wind strong enough to knock over a girl wearing little more than a tattered dress. It came to her surprise when that didn't happen, and instead, she just blew a load of hot air at Grace. She mentally brushed it off, and went back to shooting, pushing the thought out of her mind. Clearly, she was doing the best she could. She supposed she could give her something to do while she sat. An arrow was shot past the stream of flame and towards the snake's tail, Huntress's magics slowing the arrow mid-flight to land at a somewhat soft 'thunk' next to the girl.

"Take it!" She shouted. "Arrows are fine stabbing tools!"

Returning to her self-appointed task, Huntress let loose more arrows aimed for the exposed areas once more, a batch of arrows peppering where the other fighters had just struck to ensure each blow was truly felt.

Lealan's eyes wander as she takes a break from shooting the serpent to regain her energy. She watches the Fire Man and Arrow Lady Shoot at the Snake. Then she sees Arrow Lady shoot at something in the back. Another Person!!! Here to join their wonderful Hunt! The new girl had taken to Grappling the beasts tail like a true Warrior! Maybe Arrow lady was jealous of the Grabby Lady and attacked her? It's happened before... She missed? HA! No wonder she is Jealous! Arrow Lady Shouted something that Lealan wasn't listening too, but she did understand one word. Stabbing~.

"YES YES YES!! MORE STABBING!! HEHEHEHEHEHEHAHAHAHAHAHA!~"

Lealan laughs Joyfully. She raises her Crossbow into the air and Swaps it for the AsuteroSaberu DX, Sheathing the blade fully into the Supreme Danger Noodles Succulent and Exposed Flesh, over and over, still laughing like a loon all the while.

The scream tore through the air and made Luthax lose focus for a moment. In that moment, his sword slipped from the serpent's hide and the beast attempted to escape to the hole it supposedly came from. That was a strange amount of intelligence from a Darkborne, but one could never know, what with the Darkborne seeming to have being acting abnormally as of late. It took Luthax for his headache to recede and for him to look over to see a little girl in a nightgown as if she was taken straight from her bedchambers. Who thought it would be a good idea to cast a spell that summoned a child to the battle field. If Luthax was a lesser man, he would've simply left the child alone to die, but he had a duty to the citizens of the realm, to protect them from the encroaching Darkness. The Bloodguard, as scary as he was, knelt down in front of the child and spoke in his softest voice, "Little one, do not be afraid. You will be safe. There is nothing that can hurt you if you have a big, strong knight protecting you."

Taking off his red and grey Bloodguard cloak from his shoulders, Luthax held it out to the little girl, "Do you know what this is, little one? This is a magical cloak that will protect you from the scariest monsters and drive your fear away. I'm a big, strong, knight, I have my magic armor to protect me, so I'm giving you this..." That was a lie, but what else could one say to a child? If it kept her quiet and reassured, that was all he could ask for his cloak to do. Whether the girl accepted his cloak or not, he would leave it behind as he returned to the fray. "Keep my magic cloak safe, little one. I will return for the two of you."

By the time he returned to the fight with the serpent, it appeared that the fire elemental and the white-haired duelist had already managed to trap the serpent with molten rock and ice magic, with the elemental making a fine effort to burn the beast. Another girl decided to sit on the serpent's tail? Did a jester wander onto the field of battle? Luthax assumed the only one who resembled a jester was the man in dragonic armor, but at the very least, the latter jester was attempting to slay the beast with their magic.

It mattered not what the useless ones did so long as they did not interfere with those who contributed. The Bloodguard's right arm glowed as he drew from his own poisonous blood to fuel his powers. A thin green mist swirled around Luthax's arm as he charged towards the beast. As he got closed, the mist gathered around the blade to form a deadly poisonous edge just as Luthax reached the side of the serpent. Looking for an area of exposed flesh for him to plunge his venomous blade. He only spent a moment before he found another gap in the scales, and drove his sword in as deep as possible.

"Coochie?"

Tilting her head at the fire creature's speech, Grace remained confused. What was a 'coochie'? Is it another name for 'tickling' or something else entirely? Still, she had been told to help and wanted to do the best that she could. With a couple more blinks, the android mimicked the hand positions the odd living creature was making, attempting to get the form down before proceeding to do... whatever it was she was supposed to do.

" 'Coochie... coochie'...? ", Grace tentatively repeated tickling at the air looking back the instruction giver for any indication of approval, "Coochie, coochie! Coochie, coochie!"

Waving her arms in excitement at having learned a new thing, the girl kept on with the motion, intending to do so until she got told to do something else. She had absolutely no idea of what exactly this was, but it seemed quite fun nonetheless! Ohhh maybe she should teach it to Sky too! ...Wait, could the feline's paws accomplish a similar finger motion? Huh, she'd have to test that later...
That's when something went 'thunk' beside her. Still holding her hands up in the tickling pose, Grace had jerked her head in the direction of the sound to find an arrow. Where had that come from? She focused on the object, automatic processes kicking in to quickly assess which direction it had come from, which the maid had followed until she caught sight of an unrecognizable figure wearing a hood and holding a bow.

"Take it! Arrows are fine stabbing tools!"

She nodded at them, acknowledging the request. Stabbing? Grace could do that! She had seen people stab creatures to eat before, mostly wolves. The wasteland was full of them. They'd come in packs and attack weak looking targets, like Sky, though they hadn't expected to have an angry Grace coming at them while spinning a big pipe as consequence. Wolves were nasty and not friendly. She did not like them.
As soon as the android had gently picked up the arrow, another person had reacted, gleefully cheering at the mention of stabbing with what looked like a different looking bow. They seemed very experienced in the action of stabbing, so Grace took their behavior as an example of what she was supposed to do.

Holding at the end of the arrow with both her hands, Grace mimicked one of her fellow wastelanders, jabbing the pointy object at the serpent's tail with the strongest blow that she could manage, with it possibly even going across the creature and getting the tip embedded slightly into the ground below. The part of the arrow she had been holding broke and crumbled apart into several pieces, unable to withstand such an inhuman amount of force:

"Yes, more stabbing~! Ahaha...", she repeated with a proud, innocent smile that was the opposite of the psychotic laugh that her example was giving off.

It had started out as a normal day at the Shadow Operatives HQ, which meant a packed schedule of meetings, mission briefings, and research outlining, as well as lessons overseen by tutors personally selected by Mitsuru-san herself.

“Just because you’ll be attending on my recommendations doesn’t mean you can ignore their entrance exams,” she had said.

Mitsuru-san had already completed the formal paperwork for Labrys to enroll in Yasogami High School, but there was still time between then and the spring, and Labrys was going to make the most of it to be ready. If she wanted to be student council president, then she would have to show that she could handle it.

“That should be good for today,” the tutor rose from his chair in front of Labrys’s desk. “You’ve been learning very quickly, so I doubt there will be any problems.”

“…? Oh, uh, thanks.” Labrys looked up from her notes. Her penmanship lacked the strange precision that her sister’s had, but you’d be hard-pressed to find someone who would call Labrys’s work messy. It was always well organised, with each section labelled and colour-coded.

“Just make sure to review what we went over today. If you have any questions for me, please don’t hesitate to ask.”

Having excused himself, the tutor left the room. There was still 23 minutes until the next lesson would begin. Labrys stood up and started packing up the notes from the lesson. She pulled out the notes she’d taken the day before. Since then, she’d added to them, having highlighted areas she wanted clarification on. With so much time, Labrys didn’t really feel like just sitting around. It would be easy enough for her to take a walk around the area and still be back before the next tutor got there. The people here were usually willing to chat with her about what they were working on, as long as she didn’t touch anything. Thinking through the map of the building, Labrys calculated the most efficient route, as she headed out of the room.

Halfway through the door, everything around her changed, and she nearly stumbled on the sudden shift to soft ground, her systems rapidly adjusting to the new terrain. Suddenly, she was surrounded by trees with the clear sky above her. However, there was no time to focus on any of that. Right in front of her was a whole group of people, all fighting a giant snake, which was trying to escape through a hole in the ground. Behind her was an old man in funky clothes, hoarsely egging them on. She had a lot of questions that would need answering, but clearly, those could wait until they were out of danger.

The others seemed to be making out all right even without her, but it wouldn’t do any good to have her standing by and watching. Labrys scanned the battlefield. Some people attacked from the sides with fire and ice skills, one girl was clamped down on the thing’s tail. The fastest way of killing something like this would be to chop off the head, right? So why was nobody doing that? Some of them had swords; one guy was even stabbing the thing in the side. The snake was already immobilised, but that didn’t mean that they could dawdle. The axe head detached from her back, and she reached around to grab the handle as it extended.

Labrys sped in. Even if the snake couldn’t move, she didn’t want to get too close to the head, just in case. She couldn’t get too close to the other people either. In the end, she found some space that would do. Labrys raised her axe above her head and swung down as hard as she could. It didn’t matter how many chops it took; she’d keep going until either she’d hacked through or the snake went after her.
