My Interest Check
Plot: A mercenary is hired by someone with the highest offer of compensation in exchange to bring back a creature alive.

Living in the jungles of Africa there are a myriad of species that coexist and are rivals to another, though a recent addition to the wildlife has begun to make a home for itself. There is little she remembers of her former captors or to their intentions of why they had kept her in a cage, none of it truly mattered anymore. Each of those strange men had been dealt with accordingly, by becoming her food or bait for other animals that she used for food stock. She was free to make a new life for herself and that started with constructing a place to call home, by beginning to start a colony and inevitably becoming its Queen as her instincts told her was to be.

Todd searched the area, rolling is mechanical arm as it began to ache. Not as much as the scar on his chest, the blonde moved foreword in his brown trench coat. Blue shirt, combat pants and some boots. On this hunt, he stealthed around carefully as he chased down a creature.

As Todd stalked his query, he found that the tracks it left behind were deceptive to the number of limbs that it possessed as he had been told that there were three pairs and yet, there were only tracks to two sets. Could it be that the target had been injured and so was missing two of its limbs, or was it possible that not all of its limbs were used to get around on? Branches had been pushed aside from the creature's travelling and boulders had been slid out of the way as well, this target had impressive strength. There were remains of previous victims to be found as well though they did not seem to be hunters like him, they were obviously less prepared to meet their ends.

Eventually, he comes upon where the tracks seem to end from the top of the earth and instead head down into a slanted tunnel that only had darkness meeting him. It is obvious that the creature had gone underground to make its home and recently, there are no sounds to indicate the target is inside but nor to express that it was outside either. Around the tunnel entrance there are lines of shiny thread, perhaps as prey alerts or danger warnings for it to be aware of the world above ground?

Todd readied his pistol upon entering the tunnel from the forest behind him, following the limbs and cocking his gun back as he entered the opening. Nobody, he had a suspicion that this was going to take more than he can take, but eventually he stalked closer to the where the creature was located

As Todd went deeper into the tunnel, it became more evident to how large this creature was as he could stand fully upright without a problem and still had room for his head. There was no light for him to use, at least not from the sun anyway for there was a faint blue glow coming from ahead of him and it was orientated towards the ceiling of the tunnel. Perhaps the creature was not entirely without the need of light to see where it was going but it did not make his predicament any less dangerous, for he had entered its obvious lair and was alone...but maybe his target was without back-up as well. There are still no sounds of activity within the tunnel for him to use as guidance and there are no clear directions of where the creature may be resting now, the hollowed earth hallways look the same as to when he had intially entered.

Todd looked from one side to the other his green eyes barely visible in the darkness, looking up he moved foreword. With greater speed as he had a feeling that he would find it, coming upon, the, creature? He suspected as there was limbs around the blue creature.

Split of Entrance Tunnel
As Todd came to the soft light in the ceiling, it is a glowing fungus of some sort and there are only scratch marks made from the resident of the tunnel. The marks are long and are recent, with the tunnel turning down in two other directions; to his left, a dark tunnel without any light and to his right, another faint glow of blue...but where would it take him? Again, his target seems to not be home or it was much further down in the lair than it initially seemed...did it not detect him or was it waiting for his arrival without fear? Did this creature have more than instincts to guide its actions, the corpses he'd come across were not just strewn about, they had been placed with purpose.

Todd decided to take the darkest one, “never seen this before” he muttered to himself and continued down the carved out hallway l

Left Tunnel, Off of the Entrance Tunnel
As Todd continued down the darkness, a point of absolute no light came for him to find there were no other carvings or tunnels to veer off into but without being able to see in pitch black...the intruder was unable to see what was waiting. The floor had been hollowed out beneath him and it was constructed to give at a certain weight range, when he was on the center of that hole. Immediately, the floor collapsed beneath him and he travelled down a vertical tunnel wider than his arms could spread into a free-fall before coming to land on something stretchy since he bounced some. Or rather, he moved up and down for a ways before the surface had stuck fast to him and there was a faint blue glow coming from above on a wall of the tunnel.

Todd collapsed and winced, landing on the floor after the tunnel ride, good thing he landed too. He got off the ground, rubbing his jaw till he came to the blue light. Tilting his head. “…?”

From the Vertical Tunnel
As Todd stood to his feet, there was nothing but silence to greet him and the faint sweet aroma coming from somewhere ahead. An aroma that had the same alluring delight as freshly made honey and flowers, the ground beneath him was packed earth. When he came to the source of the blue light, it was another ceiling mounted fungus that glowed and he was met with a chamber as opposed to another tunnel. It had been carved out a while ago and there were white bundles of what seemed to be silk cocoons along the walls, they weren't moving so it was unlikely that they were young.

The resident of this underground abode had become aware to an uninvited visitor to when she had discovered his scent upon coming back home from her berry gathering. She chittered a little in anger before cautiously entering the main entrance with slow steps toward the tripped trap that she had set up and began making her way down the tunnel, fully intending to deal with this intruder.

Todd stayed silent as he moved and looked at the sacks “brand new.” He said, gasping as he heard something at the entrance. He readied himself, staying only inbetween two entrances in case he needed to run so he wouldn’t get cornered

Chamber from Vertical Tunnel
Unfortunately for Todd, unless he could rapidly climb up past the owner of the earthen homestead or dig through the earth at a rapid speed, he had nowhere to go as there were no other exits from the chamber he'd fallen into. The sound of scraping claws grow louder as she continues descending down the tunnel and within moments, he sees two long antennae poke from the only way out of the room. Those antennae are soon followed by sharp mandibles and then unblinking orange eyes that come to see him, she snaps her powerful jaws at him before fully descending down into the chamber with herself positioned to stop him from getting to the tunnel.

Todd grunted as he confronted the creature, cocking his gun and setting it on fire, pulling out his other pistol and growled back. “If you don’t wanna become soup or have this place torn down before you eyes, id let me pass.” He muttered, green eyes cold.

'You are the intruder, how dare you threaten me?!', she keeps her digust by this man's response inward for now before curling her abdomen around to aim its tip at his feet and then contracting it with force to send out something of a liquid nature, colored a dull orange. She did not want to hurt him but nor did she want to be harmed either, allowing him to escape was not an option as she had learned that lesson early on. Allowing humans to escape even when they promised to leave her be, to let them live, only brought more humans and they trying to kidnap or kill her for whatever reasoning.

Todd quickly backed up and tried to get away from the creature “what even are you?” He asked glancing down at the liquid that came pouring out

Todd only ended up backing into a silken bundle of stored food she had been working on, not knowing to how long she had until colder weather or less supplies of food became available. The yellow liquid was thick and came around into a wide arch upon hitting the floor, coming close to his feet for contact. There was no verbal response from the creature he had been sent to take alive and it instead sent another spray of more of its fluid from the abdomen with higher aim at his chest.

Todd then began shooting, holding up his mechanical arm it managed to block the liquid and be perfectly fine. One hand having the pistol and still shooting, looking past the creature, the only way out. He aimed for its eyes then ran at it, only to do a slide underneath and managing to get in on the other side. Kneeling down he looked at his escape route, but instead of running. He was the one who blocked the creature in

When the liquid hit his arm, it seemed fine but instead the former gelatinous like consistency rapidly hardened into glue and thus made his limb heavier. The same to when his feet stepped into the viscious liquid and began hardening with contact from the air, not quite what she had intended but she could make it work.

As the hunter aimed for her eyes with his weapons, she screamed in anger and it was a horrid ear-splitting barrage of sound waves. While she was able to avoid having her sight taken away by her attacker, she was struck with his ammonition yet and it pierced through...causing her to bleed from the wounds. Since she had been shot before by previous hunters, she understood his guns to be his danger points and thus she responded by throwing one of the silken bundles at his face.

If she hit her target by distracting his vision, she would charge at him with intent to pin him to the floor of the chamber and in turn immobilize his arms from being useful.

“OOF-!” Todd couldn’t see and felt weight push him over, he fell, putting one weapon into his holster before try to pry the web off his eyes. “Damn-“ he grunted and tried to get up only this time pinned down. “Well this is going accordingly..”

The Drakedrone was pleased that it had succeeded in its plan and then began crafting silk between its hand-paws, stretching it so that it would be thick but soft. 'I am going to deal with you so you are not anymore trouble to me.', she thought to herself before beginning to wrap over his shoulders and start to pull his arms down to his sides in doing so. Attempting to remove his weapons while he could struggle was dangerous and thus she must reduce his mobility in whole or enough that he could not do anymore harm to her. Hurting this human was not desired, much less to killing him and so an alternative method had to be used...one that she had been working on for a while, though there was no guarantee that it would work.

Todd struggled beneath the creature and the more he struggled the worst something got, he growled and he mechanical arm began to grow across his body. This, mercenary cyborg was one of the best, for one reason. His body could turn into a full machine.

As the not quite as human as she had thought struggled and began to change to more metal components, her head tilted in confusion. She allows the main metal arm release from her hold and grabs with her hand-paw, bringing it closer to her eyes for closer inspection. She had never encountered this kind of 'human' before, they'd always had weapons that she could remove or disable in some form...this one did not seem to share that trait. +Strange.+, the feminine voice sent aloud this time for Todd to hear and quite clearly, +What is this?+

At this point in time, she had stopped wrapping him in her silk and had only reached down to his elbows though remained over him with most of her weight pinning him down.

Todd’s eyes turned into a red glow and his body began to heat up, causing the silk to catch fire “I’m a cyborg, and what are you since were asking questions here? “ he questioned
