Hollows have always been the enemies of shinigami, yet have for the most part always been managable. Their sheer numbers are hindered by their inability to organize themselves. That was, until a select few arrancar from Hueco Mundo undertook the task themselves.  Hordes of hollows are now threatening the Seireiti like never before, the massive army blanketting the horizon. They have even broken through in the Seireiti itself, the first wave hitting hard.

The first responders to the invasion were the 8th squad, sprinkled with others from various squads in the area. The number of invaders proved to be much more than the shinigami had anticipated, and it turned from a tight-nit defense to a brawl for survival. During the fight, the captain of squad 8 fell, and hope seemed lost. However, desperation brings out strength, and the sheer ferocity of the squad started to drive back the horde of hollows.

In fear, the hollows ripped open gargantas to flee. So many small openings at once rended the garganta across the sky, dragging many shinigami with them. With no choice but to follow, the shinigami entered into yet another struggle with the hollows through the increasingly chaotic garganta path. It lasted for several bloody hour, and was so intense, many of them hadn't noticed the scene changing around them. It was only once the chaos had quieted many of the shinigami were surprised to find themselves alive, and on an unknown sands.

The shinigami were hardly left alone for much longer. Though in much smaller numbers, hollows again began to fight and chase them. After so much fighting, exhaustion had began to set in. Unable to fight anymore, the shinigami had managed to flee to a set of caves in the desert, and set up a temporary camp.

The first few days afterwards seemed the most unreal. While they had repelled a few hollows here and there, compared to the first day, it was a respite. Realization slowly dawned that the group had landed in the hollow homeworld, Hueco Mundo. As did the unspoken thought that they didn't know the way back. Survival was now the name of the game, one day at a time. One of the earlier challenges was hunger. There was only one thing however to eat in such a world.... And, with reluctance, so the hunted became the hunters. At least of some of the smaller animal like hollows.

It has since been a year. Many of the shinigami have become much, much tougher in that time, they've had to. They have, at the very least, begun to adapt. Hueco Mundo is however harsh, and has far scarier terrors than mere hollows. Terrors such as the Arrancar, or, perhaps worse, the shinigami themselves. Some are becoming more and more hollow-like as the days pass. Can this group even make it home?

~IC Story~

~Intro Arc~

The Lost found themselves in quite the predicament as a Menos found it's way near their camp, encountering the patrol group. Forced to fight it, Chose, Emi, Natsumi, and Daisuke fought it with everything they had. It proved to be a tricky beast, managing to injure the later two before finally succumbing to blows by Emi and Daisuke.

Meanwhile, those in the cave hardly fared better. As Asumi came to warn them about the Menos, an arrancar discovered their little cave. Angry in general, he was even more angry to discover the shinigami on his turf. Playing a pair of bagpipes, he incited wave after wave of hollows after them, before deciding to increase their savagery, causing many of the hollows to turn on eachother. Those left proved to be powerful, injuring Rielly. The group slowly traveled through them to the source of the music however, clearing many of the hollows, the last of which finished by Takao. Ryuuko tried to stall against it, while Asumi decided to try and destroy the arrancar's instrument upfront, which only angered him. They were saved however by the other arrancar that seemed to be his partner, yelling at him to go home. Together they left, but not without a threat that they would continue to be hunted.

~Looking for Home~

The Lost, having finished with their difficult foes, managed to quickly regroup. The injured, Daisuke, Reilly, and Natsumi were quickly patched up by Chosi and Ryuuko. It was decided that they couldn't go back to the cave as long as the Espada were hunting them down and knew about it. Quickly grabbing their things, for the first in months, the groups slept in the sands without any semblance of a home. The next day, it was decided what they would do. With Ryuuko mentioning recent mastery of Tenteikuura, the group decided it would be quicker to split up to discover a new camp while they were in Hueco Mundo.

Chosi and Emi headed north together, where the sands drooped into a low valley.

Reilly, Ryuuko and Daisuke would take the east, into a vast expanse of desert, the changing colors in the distance perhaps promising a change of terrain on the other side.

Asumi and Takao journeyed the west, further into the rocky terrain hoping to find a similiar cave as theirs.

Each of them hoped to be able to find some place they could call home. At the end of a week, Ryuuko was to call them, to see what each had found. They gathered in a cave to report each of their adventures.

Asumi and Takao had discovered a village of Arrancar, who were incredibly friendly, though strange. They had saved a child, who was naive to what shinigami were. He led them to his house. The rest of the village feared them because they were shinigami. It turned out his adopted mother was a leader of the village. She informed them how hollowlike the two felt, and told them to meet with the village leader, who gave them a map of the Espada's castles.

Chosi and Emi were captured by an Espada. Though they were thrown in a cell, the Espada meant them no harm, mentioning their king had forbid harming them. #7, Reina Cuerva, was more curious than anything else. After multiple interuptions by Emi, she set the shinigami in her place, haunting her with illusions until she passed out. She praised Chosi as having hidden talent, and offered to help, once Chosi had tapped into it.  She released the two in the desert.

Ryuuko, Reilly, and Daisuke discovered another group of shinigami. For a moment it seemed promising, until they discovered the other shinigami were offering sacrifices to a hollow, called the Host, in order to appease it. And the next sacrifice? Reilly's wife. The group managed to save her in one way, but the Hosts influence hollowfied her. She ran off, and Reilly after her. The Host was not so easy to take down, only the four managing to survive, and Reilly wandering the desert meant his fate was uncertain.
