That one thing from the other day
A Long time ago in a galaxy far far away...

The galaxy hangs on the brink of civil war. Ancient disarmament treaties keep trade federation ships from being able to defend themselves from the growing threat of mercenaries from Hut space. Hundreds of planets and dozens of corporations from the trade federation set up the separatist movement in direct defiance of republic orders to disarm. factories of unparalleled size begin to churn out droids by the millions as more planets join the separatist movement. the republic responds by deploying the Jedi, whose massive order numbers above 60,000. yet even the Jedi are stretched thin and the republic begins to open calls for a volunteer army. millions from all over the world are sent to gene modification facilities on Kamino where they are trained and equipped to serve the republic, their numbers bolstered by a growing number of military clones sanctioned by the republic.

The division in the galactic republic was seen as an opportunity to the ancient enemy of the jedi, the sith empire. pushed into the outer rim of the galaxy the sith empire has grown in secret unknown to the rest of the galaxy and they arrive in force with a number matching that of the jedi and with no foothold in the galaxy as a hole they are forced to ally themselves with the separatist movement. The military powers of the galaxy spread to nearly every corner of the galaxy, finally the fires of war are kindled when a separatist fleet attacks Corouscant, yet the small fleet is but a distraction allowing a strike team of Sith to assassinate over a hundred senators and nearly a dozen jedi before fleeing the senate chamber, with only half their original number and vanishing into the undercity.

All across the galaxy skirmishes break out and drafts are instituted on separatist held worlds. Jedi are given positions of command, their experience facing the mercenary pirates of hut space being the closest thing to combat experience anyone really has from the republic. however a subtle battle takes place beneath the overarching warfare, both sith and jedi alike feel several force sensitive children all over the galaxy, some of whom possess remarkable never before seen force potential. Prophecies millennia old referring to a great war of the light and dark sides of the force seem to be coming to fruition and Jedi masters and Sith lords alike seem to think the key to winning this war lies in the power hidden within the many new force sensitives being born and coming to age throughout the galaxy. what will become of the countless trillions of lives caught in this war? only the future holds the answers...


 
changes to canon lore

i have added a few changes of my own to the existing star wars lore to make things a tad bit more interesting.

1st. no palpatine, no anikin, no rule of two- palpatine and anikin were both insanely powerful force users who could shift the tide of battle in either way. but the biggest change from this is that the sith never accepted the rule of two and as such many more sith exist in this universe. rather than the rule of two sith adopted what they call septs. a sith sept is a specific group of sith who serve under a particular sith lord and practice his tenets and adopt his or her traits and abilities, while sith can drift between septs and learn from many masters this is dangerous as there is nothing to protect one from another siths wrath and floating around training under numerous masters is bound to attract the ire of other less fortunate sith students. likewise there will be no immaculate births via the force. finally this means order 66 will not occur and the sith have no connections to the senate or any other facet of the republics government.

2nd. the jedi order is much less dumb- first and foremost jedi in the clone wars had almost no combat experience, in this world they have spent the past 3 decades fighting mercenaries and pirates and thus are a bit more competent. furthermore the jedi order is a whole lot bigger for one key reason, love and families are no longer banned by the jedi order. due to this many multi generational families of jedi exist. often times jedi are known to fall for one another and will be married by the masters in the order, their children often follow in their parents footsteps and become jedi themselves. that said all jedi are to put their duties to the order above their families and most do this as the orders rarely contradict. it is also frowned upon for the jedi parents of a young force sensitive to handle their childs training and more often than not the parents will opt to have their own master train their child. due to this padawans are a bit more well rounded and jedi themselves are known to be more powerful than their canon counterparts.

3rd. droid and clone incompetence has been severely reduced. both driods and clones in canon are shown having pitiful aim and terrible decision making capabilities. in this timeline the tensions leading up to the clone wars were dragged out for alot longer allowing droid intelligence and clone training to be far more effective. as such both jedi and sith will have a harder time cutting down large numbers of either. some specific and rare models of each can even contend with a jedi or sith in one on one combat.

4th force technology improvement- throughout star wars we see examples of force fueled technology like certain jedi starfighters, most lightsabers, and even a few unique machines of remarkable power. in this world we will also be including force blasters, larger force starcraft like dreadnaughts and even a few rare capitol ships, force powered jetpacks, and even modified lightsabers able to take the form of axes, bows, spears, and other weapons. this is in an effort to make jedi and sith more usable factions with special gear available only to them. this does not make them unbalanced however as jedi and sith seem to lack large numbers at least comparable to seperatist and republic forces whose numbering in the billions dwarves the jedi and sith who each number lower than 100,000. in addition jedi and sith both lack ground vehicles, heavy weapons, and a wide array of ships needed to make effective fleets.

5th mercenaries and bounty hunters- the best and worst of all worlds, mercinaries and bounty hunters can utilize tools and gear that would normally be faction exclusive, many are even force sensitives with minimal training from either the jedi or sith factions allowing them to use jedi or sith gear. due to this they can be powerful enough to contend with jedi masters and sith lords if they are lucky enough. unfortunately where bounty hunters and mercenaries are weakest is in numbers. often working alone or in improvised groups and teams their solitary natures often limit their resources in a way none of the other factions suffer from. if a jedi or sith need to take over a planet a dozen or so allies of their level of power can be called on and bolstered with the resources of their allied faction. the republic and separatist armies can simply rain endless troops and war machines. a bounty hunter or mercenary can usually not do the same thing and even when they can its to a much lower degree than the other factions.​

Weapons proficiency: 1-100 (how skilled are you with your weapon? jedi and sith need high levels of this for lightsaber duels, but even common troopers can be quite proficient in the use of their weapons. a master marksman can even hit jedi and sith if they time it just right.)
Technical: 1-100 (how powerful is your gear or how diverse are your force abilities, whatever it is your character focuses on how specialized are they at it?)
Intangibles: 1-100 (what kind of special abilities does your character bring to the table. for a jedi or sith this governs how much mastery they have over the force, for others this includes special racial abilities like the Toydarians resistance to force mind tricks.)

here is a general cs skeleton im making the page now so dont worry. i will be playing a good long list of characters but focusing primarily on the jedi and sith factions. as with the star wars universe canon many sub stories will be going on as the main story occurs, not everyone needs to be a jedi or sith lord in this story to have relevance as i cannot stress enough that THERE ARE NO MAIN CHARACTERS. in this rp every player character has a role be it being a badass master of lightsaber and force, being a military tactician, a politician with the ability to bring peace, a smuggler who has found out about a devestating superweapon, even the ruler of a planet determined to stay neutral. the choice is yours and the sandbox is open to you.​
 
here is a timeline to give you a general look at the history of this world, feel free to work with any event and i encourage you to go back as far as you want for your characters history even if its as simple as having a ancestor among the first Jedi or Sith.

 
in the cs section youll see Jedi master alfric. he is by ne means meant to be a ceiling or anything, in fact aside for his famous teching ability he is basically the halfway marker for jedi masters, so your jedi can be stronger than him, even if you wish to be one of the masters who trained under him as a padawan. :)
 
roles and plot points.

there are a few roles im going to need but it is not mandatory that they are filled, they are just roles that have plot relevance and thus will be important early on.

Mandelorian Senator- this senator was in the republic senate building on coruscant during the sith raid. only three hours have passed since the massacre and despite the order to evacuate this senator insists on being the last to leave and has demanded their armor and weapons. This senator happens to be assigned Jedi counselor Jhazz Katuer as a shadow meaning the jedi is stuck overseeing the evacuation with the senator.

Durasteel Bounty Hunter- The separatist faction placed a large bounty on all republic senators and a decent one on any jedi. this bold and powerful bounty hunter is going to be taking advantage of the chaos of the senate strike to make the score of a lifetime taking out as many politicians and their overrated space wizard bodyguards as possible.

Republic 13th fleet commander- The 13th fleet was closest to coruscant when it fell under attack. they responded quickly hammering the small separatist fleet from behind, wiping them out in a single volley with no damage to any of their own craft. unfortunately their scans of surrounding space have found that first small fleet to be little more than a scouting party. with only the 13th fleet close enough to the republic capitol to respond in time they must face the larger separatist fleet alone until the 8th and 3rd fleets arrive to provide support.

Separatists main fleet commander- A huge fleet made up of the improvised warships of eleven worlds. greatly outnumbering the republic 13th fleet they intend to destroy the 13th fleet and take the planet with their invasion force numbering in the hundreds of millions of troops...all before the rest of the republic fleets can respond. the faster they can take the planet and dig in the longer their siege will last. The commander of this colossal fleet is working with several sith strike teams.

Jedi- those of all rank are here on coruscant due to one of the temples being on the planet. one can choose to be one of the sixteen jedi masters on the planet, or one of the hundreds of councelors, knights, padawans, and young jedi scattered throughout the massive city world. prepare to be attacked by bounty hunters , sith ,and perhaps even droids. a task force of them is being sent into the under city to find the sith strike teams and wipe them out before they can regroup and strike again.

Sith- three strike teams of 25 sith each were shot to the planets surface from the scout fleet.one struck the senate building and fled to the under city after suffering heavy casualties. the second struck the jedi temple and after facing three jedi masters and then two dozen jedi reinforcements they too suffered heavy casualties and fled into the under city. the third strike force struck the planetary shield generator , the position was heavily fortified and nine sith were killed but the rest fled after they destroyed the generator. it is believed that they are meeting up in the undercity to regroup and strike again.​
 
I kinda want to play a Force-sensitive kid (14 y.o) who gets picked up by one of the factions. Would that be alright?

if sith you grew up on the outer rim and were picked up by sith.

if jedi you can be a padawan to any of my jedi characters of which there are 4.

also padawans or sith apprentices who wish so can be some of the "force titans" being born. basically kids with a maxed out force power stat who still need to train in all other aspects but are remarkably powerful. they will be important for the story.
