Sooo, I mentioned in my previous thread I came over from another RP community I had been a part of for a while. What I didn't say was that we were primarily a Star Wars community and that Star Wars is a huge passion of mine. (though, maybe don't ask me about my opinions on the sequel trilogy if you're a fan of it, please. I don't want to disappoint you. 
) Anyway, I've recently had a long-running thread I've been writing for two--three years now? I've lost count--die out. I was writing it with someone and life sort of hit him pretty hard recently and we've lost touch. I hope someday he'll be able to come back and we can continue where we left off but until then I still want to continue the story of the character I created, or at least begin a new adventure... And by new I mean literally the same adventure just rebooted with a different cast. >.>
So, the story takes place four years after the destruction of Luke's Jedi temple, approx. two years before The Force Awakens. (Surprising, I know, considering I sort of implied I really don't like the sequel trilogy, but that's Disney's canon now, sooo...) My character, Elena Connor, is one of the last surviving members of Luke's temple and has been living the past four years on the run from the First Order and the Knights of Ren.At some point after the story begins she gets mixed up with a crew of smugglers and thieves running operations around the Outer Rim and she interrupts their heist trying to steal the same thing. This part is very reminiscent of Ezra's encounter with the crew of the Ghost, basically (I never said I was original >.> ). She joins the crew after that, keeping her identity a secret from them, and they do the Firefly thing flying around doing various illegal activities under the watchful eyes of the New Republic. That is, until they get swept up in a much bigger adventure involving galaxy-shattering consequences thanks to their new Jedi friend. Sooo, the roles I'm looking for here are basically the same roles from Rebels, or Firefly, more or less. Ship's doctor, pilot, weapons expert, XO, captain, engineer, etc. Plus an addtional role for the possible inclusion of a padawan (which could technically double as any of the other roles previously mentioned).
Again, I don't have a lot of requirements in mind for this story. I don't like turning people away so I'm probably not going to do that. I'm not really going to require that every single post has to be at least a paragraph, either, because I don't really agree with it and sometimes in scenes with lots of dialogue it can disrupt the flow of the conversation if you're forcing yourself to write more filler just to make the post longer, imo. That being said I don't want every post to be a one-liner, I do appreciate it when people at least try to make an effort.Now's the part where I sort of contradict myself, though, and say for the padawan and the captain at least I may require a higher level of writing aptitude. I prefer stories with complex character development, interesting drama with a healthy dose of action rather than everything just being all action all the time. So what I'm looking for here is someone who is really good at coming up with an interesting character idea rather than someone who just wants to play the badass Jedi who can do all the things. Also, it's really important that the captain sounds at least somewhat competent since they're going to be in charge of everybody (myself included) and giving orders. I can fill rolls with NPCs if I need to or condense a few of them down into one. This isn't to cheapen any of the roles, though. Every role is just as important as any other role. I know stories involving Jedi tend to revolve around the Jedi (I'm sorry, Finn, you were the most interesting character, you deserved better 
), but that's not how I like to RP. The crew of the ship are the heroes of the story, not any one individual person whether Jedi or not.
This story is going to feel episodic at first since we'll be running around planet-hopping doing various odd jobs that don't really connect with each other, that is until the plot eventually unveils itself. At the moment I only have a few vague ideas of what it is so far. I know it involves the World Between Worlds and preventing the possible resurrection of a certain Sith Lord, not Palpitine (I will be borrowing from Legends material). There won't be any time travel, though, that's not what I'm using the Vergence Scatter for. Oh, and one last thing, I know in thread's with large groups some people tend to feel overwhelmed if there are multiple posts in a day (and I'm not even sure myself that I can keep up with that and the current thread I'm already writing) so I will ask everyone to please try not to post multiple times in the same day and maybe it won't feel like it's too hard to keep up. At least once a day, once every couple of days, once every three days, once a week, although I hope the story doesn't progress that slowly. >.> So, if anyone is interested please let me know.

Ignore all the strike-through above for now. The basic premise of the story is being reworked on the fly as the thread is being written. If you have an idea in mind for a character just let me know what it is and we'll work it in somehow.
