Space, the Final Frontier.....at least, so they say in the Federation. But is it really the final one? Or merely the one that is the most exciting for them to explore and to CONQUER?

It is time for a test, so they say. It is time to see what they have to offer. IN fact, there are a variety of races and cultures that it will be important to test. To one such as I, it is a boredom of existence without something to do. But here and now, a continuing challenge to add to those already placed in this Lost Space.

Will those brought before these uncharted stars that are unknown to them bring forth order? Will they Conquer as others have not before? Will they spread their sciences among the stars? Will they find a way home? Or will they make all ONE as part of an amalgam that is an inescapable future.

Or will they manage to find me and try to gain my power?

The possibilities are endless.

But now. Now it all begins......

A Wormhole appears before each of the players and exerts such a force that they are each pulled in in turn. NO matter how hard they would have tried to warp or impulse away, they would have found it impossible to resist its grasp. Before they knew what was happening, they were in a location where the stars did not match to any known configuration. They would know that they were not in the Alpha, Beta, Delta or Gamma Quadrants.

They were somewhere new and unknown.

There are the briefest flashes of particles before the wormhole dissipates from whence it came. This Space is new and unknown. WHat would become of them? Would they be able to get home? Did they even want to get home? Perhaps this place would be their new home, by force or diplomacy.

Talos- Dominion

On a routine patrol throughout the Dominion Space, Talos and his battle group were suddenly sucked through a mysterious portal. They quickly realize that this is not a cowardly Federation Attack or even some strange fallout of an uprising from one of the member states of the Dominion, nor even a retaliation from the Cardassians. It was something else entirely. This was something new.

Something or someone that they were not familiar with had plucked them up and placed them in this clearly unknown to them, space. It was unsettling to say the least. But they were Dominion, and he was a Vorta. He did not have the luxury to stay unsettled.

Instead, he would take in all the available data and then use it to make an appropriate conclusion. He would do the Founders proud as he was created to do by their guiding light.

Immediate scans have determined that they are in "Region 1". The solar system that they are in within this Region is made up of 7 Planets with a yellow star. The third and fifth planets support life and both seem space capable.

Volskiar- Romulan Star Empire

Volskiar had the honor within the Empire of getting one of the newest class of Warbird type ships. They would soon enough become standard through the Star Empire, but he was given one of the first. It was a glorious Honor and one that he gained due to his rank and family connections as all Romulans in Good Standing within the military can attest to. The Senate might have been rebuilt after the Shinzon incident, but it was still the Senate and good connections were always needed.

A member of the Tal'Shiar was on board to make sure that everything went smoothly and that nothing was mishandled on its maiden voyage. This ship was to be among the crown of the Romulan Fleet. The Romulan people have invested much in its new and sleaker design. Something that was much needed after the resource heavy properties of the D'Deridex Warbird that was their workhorse now for many, many years.

A mysterious wormhole opened up and sucked the ship inside, sending them hurtling through space to an unknown location in space. The stars were different and it wasn't long before they discovered a few other modified Bird Of Preys that quickly swore allegiance to Volskiar.

The Region of Space was listed as "Region 1". The solar system that they were in contained 5 planets surrounding a Red Giant Star. It contains 2 planets that support life. One of which was industrial era and the other was in early space flight.

8 of 13 was a Borg Specialist that was put in charge of a new fusion of Borg Cubes in preparation for fighting stronger enemies of the Collective to defeat them and get them to join in their hivemind so that all might be made one. A wormhole opened up. It was strange and not a transwarp conduit that the Borg are able to conjure up. It was something new. It was something that could bring the Borg closer to perfection as was their goal.

They would add their biological and technological distinctiveness to their own. It was fate and destiny. The final goal of the Collective was to achieve perfection through assimilation of others.

The first thing that 8 of 13 would have noticed after coming through the wormhole was that they were cut off from the Collective outside their massive ship. They were all still connected, but no longer could he hear the commands of the Queen or the trillions of multitudes of voices. It was only down to those onboard his massive UltraCube.

He would need more to maintain normal status.

They were in "Region 2"- The Solar system contained 9 Planets with a yellow star. 3 of which contained life. One was pre industrial, one was industrial and the third was spaceflight capable.

Joseph Bowie was the Captain in charge of a new scientific group made up of his own personal vessel and two Nebula Class ships. They were on a mission to catalog a nebula with all of the particles and various scientific anomalies that were found within it. At first when a wormhole opened up in front of them, they were ecstatic, taking reading and writing notes. That is, they were until the gravitational forces sucked them all into it and deposited them in a strange region of space.

At the very least, they had more new space to explore. It was a new set of straneg worlds and strange civilizations. They were boldly going where no one had gone before.

Scanning around, they found themselves in "Region 2". The Solar System that they were in had 5 planets and a yellow star. One of them was inhabited by a space faring civilization.

The Life of an Orion Pirate was one that was fast and dangerous. Having to stick to the edges of ‘civilized’ space these days since the Federation was no longer as weak as they had been with their patrols in the 23rd century.

But that did not mean that there were never any sort of delicious prizes to be had. They just had to be fought for. And Sisha was someone who loved a good fight. Especially when the other person was lying in a broken bloody heap at her feet.

She had just finished spending all her ill gotten gains from her previous raids and found herself a new quarry when suddenly, her and her fleet were pulled into some sort of strange wormhole.

The stars around them didn’t look familiar and scans confirmed that they were not in the Milky Way Galaxy. Where were they?

But more importantly, where was that juicy ship she had been about to board?

Her helmsman told her that they were in “Region 3” and the solar system that they were in had 9 planets and orbited a White Dwarf. But the biggest feature of this system was a large space station.

The chatter seemed to make this place out to be a Pirate Haven with ships of all races coming and going, flying the Pirate Flag.

The Prey was worthy. They had fought tooth and nail as they attempted to escape the web of ships that had only now encircled them. It was the oldest trick in the book, but they were that way for a reason. They were effective.

They had tried their hardest to flee from the Hirogen Hunter Fleet, but they were no match for their cunning and guile. It was always only a matter of time before they would succeed in their task and take their trophies for their walls.

However, just as they were about to land the final series of blows, the Hunter Fleet was sucked into a mysterious wormhole, moving from the Delta Quadrant to somewhere else entirely.

What was this place? Did they fall into another Hunter’s Trap? And would they find prey in this new place?

But if they were in a trap, they would make sure that a reverse trap would be sprung and their captor would soon be Prey.

Their scans determined that they were in “Region 3” in a solar system that had 3 planets orbiting a Red Giant. One of the planets seems to have space travel with advanced ships. First glance, they seem equal to the Hirogen Vessels.

Eight of Thirteen - The Borg - Turn 1Region 2 - Artemis Cluster
There was a strange feeling amongst the Borg drones aboard the massive Hypercube, something that could only be best described as anxiety. The billions of voices of the Collective had been reduced to the thousands and with that, a level of uncertainty that only a few of the biological and machine hybrids had ever experienced. For Eight of Thirteen, a former Klingon general, it would fall to him to take the mantle of leader.

He processed the scan of the system they had appeared in and began plotting the next steps for the disconnected Collective.

"Potential candidates for assimilation identified on three planets. Begin assimilation protocol alpha three for planet identified as Regalia Prime."

With the simple order the hypercube became a hive of activity. The anxiety of the drones vanished immediately as they began to focus on their familiar tasks. While they worked away preparing to start the assimilation of the world, the Hypercube made its way to the planet. An individual Borg cube was a fearsome prospect in itself but the amalgamation of four of them was simply terrifying. Unfortunately for the residents of Regalia Prime…it wouldn't be long before they met the Borg.

Movement: None

Action 1: Assimilate space faring nation.

ACT I - THE CLOSING

PERSONAL LOG #53 | Stardate: ??? Location - "Region I"

It is not in our nature to record, report and preserve for some imagined posterity the happenings of our times. To be sure the idea seems rather like something the hevam at Starfleet would conjure up. But these are not usual times; and a tree that does not bend when faced with a storm, must inevitably break. There are few that can be trusted on this ship. And fewer still who can be confided in. For now I have deigned to accept the assistance of Colonel Thala, who has assumed something resembling the post of a first officer aboard the IRW Bloodwing, although her official title pegs her as a humble diplomatic attaché. I cannot be sure how deep the talons of the Tal Shiar venture within this ship; and amongst the crew of the IRW Victorious, Decius, Valkis and Tal'aura - all vessels that've have been stranded in this section of space and either forgotten or declared MIA in a time of war. I should be more suspicious of their eagerness to serve under my command, but I suspect they were simply grateful to be reunited with others of our kind, and finally have a superior assume command. As for the anomaly that condemned us to the depths of the unknown; my science officers are stumped - with little to show for their weeks of research, besides some half-baked guesses.

In the meantime, system surveys of the creatively named "Region I" has yielded interesting results; we've found two class M planets, habitable and populated with inconsequential primitives. If we are to survive, this region must be claimed for the Empire. Granting us the resources to reestablish contact with Romulus & upon that eventuality, having something to show for our absence. These logs will be a record of the decisions I have made, good or bad. They shall vindicate my actions or condemn me for bringing dishonour to the Empire.

ACTIONS
  1. Send Colonel Thala (Tal Shiar Operative) alongside whatever agents are under her employ, to infiltrate the planet that'd achieved early space flight. She’s tasked with obtaining information about; centres of power, military installations, personages of importance etc. Effectively any and all information that could help determine the choiciest targets to cripple the planetary authority and supplement conquest.
  2. The IRW Bloodwing, Victorious, Decius, Valkis and Tal'aura go into distant orbit of the planet while cloaked. If Colonel Thala's mission has been a success then two Birds of Prey, alongside the fighter craft accompanying the Bloodwing (Capital Ship) shall accompany 40 Reman Shock Troopers onto the planetary surface, attacking key targets paving the way for conquest.

Talos - Dominion - Turn 1
Conference Room of the Supremacy
Region 1

Talos sat at the head of the conference room as the others began to gather. Various Vorta and four Jem'Hadar representing the full leadership of his taskforce. To his right was his First, Xalav'Kana, an imposing brute of a Jem'Hadar Talos was sure was one of the Alphas born of the Dominion War likely intended to engage in Klingon fronts. The gene-bulked brute served as his right hand in many affairs and was entrusted with any violence that Talos required in service to the Founders. Unlike some Vorta, he appreciated the loyalty and purpose of the Jem'Hadar. They were consummate warriors made to balance the skill and cunning of the Vorta.

To his left was the finely dressed Field Supervisor of the Supremacy, Manaan. They were effective in their position though suffering from some of the ego Vorta projected towards the Jem'Hadar at times that could grate on the Founders' loyal creations. Talos knew for a fact several Vorta had become 'field casualties' due to this behavior. Another reason he respected the warrior clones, knowing they had the wit to carry out such incidents. Talos did not mind. He considered it genetic pruning. Those Vorta had proven unworthy of the vision of the Founders and the Order of Things. At the end of the table was the stretched face of Overseer Sevarrin, the taskforce's Son'a Overseer charged with their fabrication and engineering needs.

Four more Vorta gathered, a true boon from the Founders who had deigned to grant him such authority. This combined with the contingent of veteran Jem'Hadar told him the value they placed on himself as a new generation Vorta clone. His line was created in response to the Dominion War and the defeat none had predicted. The Alpha Quadrant had DARED to deny the Founders their right as mast8er over all. The Order of Things had faltered and the Dominion was pushed back to the Gamma Quadrant as the arrogant Federation labeled their part of the galaxy. Pushing that quiet rage aside, Talos focused on the gathering and brought up the data on the table displays.

"As you know, as of 12 hours ago our taskforce was seized and deposited into foreign space. Truly foreign space. No star configuration is recognizable and I've had several of you perform in depth astral analysis to check this conclusion from multiple perspectives. Manaan has the deeper details," Talos stated as he looks to the Supremacy's commander.

"As Talos says, all stellar data is new and entirely foreign. We cannot even get astral charting to identify any of the Quadrants. We also have failed to contact the Dominion. We have used every technique available to us and several methods known only to the Son'a. At this moment, we are the only Dominion forces we are aware of. Until such a time as we regain contact with the Dominion, I advise institution of Emergency Protocols of the Order of Things," Manaan said solemnly with the delivery of the aspiring statesman he sought to be on behalf of the Founders.

"I have taken the situation under consideration. And the advisement of Manaan. Under the Emergency Protocols of the Order of Things, I declare myself Prime Designate as the Founders' chief agent commanding this taskforce. As of this moment, this star system is Dominion territory to provide us with resources and supplies necessary to expand our reach until we can regain contact with the Dominion," Talos declared as he keyed his emergency code.

The other Vorta in the room looked concerned but one by one entered their command codes, confirming Emergency Protocol. The Jem'Hadar Firsts did not even hesitate and keyed their own codes as new systems deployed with sealed commands from the Founders. The orders were clear. Conquest and expansion until a means of contact could be established. This was to be a new expansion zone of Dominion territory.

"We have two tasks now. We must perform scans of both life-sustaining worlds to attempt to locate compounds that can be processed for Ketracel-White production. Second, we must study these two cultures so that we may better decide how to commence their incorporation into the Dominion. Let us begin," Talos declared firmly as the meeting broke down into various discussions on their methods of pursuing these two important operations. The Dominion would claim this system and secure its supply concerns.

Actions
Movement: Commence Silent Running for planetary scanning/monitoring.

1: Commence Scanning of habitable worlds for substances to produce Ketracel-White.

2: Commence scanning of the habitable worlds' cultures and data to develop approach plans.

Mairre's Marauders
Turn 1

If Mairre had learned anything during her career as a pirate, it was to expect the unexpected. Things tended to go wrong, and when they went wrong, they went really, really wrong. The galaxy was a large place, even if it felt smaller and smaller these days especially with the Federation starting to get its borders under control, but it still had a way of surprising people... Although that all felt like a vast understatement as Sisha Mairre found her fleet transported to an unknown region of space, considering the stars did not line up with any navigational charts on record, they were likely in another galaxy, entirely. The cherry on top, as the Earthlings were fond of saying, was her prey was now gone. Left behind back home. That, above all, annoyed Mairre the most. They had the prey dead to rights, they were going to not only take their cargo, but their crew as slaves and their ship would have been added to the fleet. Instead? Instead they had nothing to show for it save for the certainty of never being able to return home.

"Vexing," Mairre growled under her voice as she tapped her fingers on the armrest of her chair, situated on the bridge of her personal Vorcha. In truth, as much as her men may grumble when they think she couldn't hear them, this wasn't all that bad of a situation. There was no Federation, no Klingons.. No need to pretend about 'Orion Neutrality'. It was entirely possible there were large empires already carved out in the galaxy, but for the first time in a long time, Mairre could taste something in the air, something she had not tasted for a long time. Opportunity.

Mairre considered herself to be a 'Pirate Queen'. Few pirates held the power and sway she did back in the Milky Way, even fewer could hope to contend with her on a personal basis.. With no neutrality, no Klingons.. Yes, this galaxy was ripe for the taking. Even better, a space station that was noted to be held by this galaxies pathetic excuse for pirates was found. The first step on the road to her destiny was to bring them to heel, to make them bend the knee to their new queen..

It should not be too difficult. It was their natural state, to kneel before the strong.

Actions
1. Make contact with the Space Station and request docking for the selling of 'Merchandise'. Merchandise being the Orion Slaves who will use their pheromones to begin subverting males to the Queen and gaining intel on the station, pirates, where they even are [if possible] and info on local star system.

2. Using intel gained from the Orion Slaves, Sisha will make a plan of attack to take control of the station and the pirates within.. And is rather hoping it involves finding the biggest, strongest pirate band there and breaking them over her knee.

Space Oddity

"Captains Log, Stardate 53212.6. We have been transported by an unexpected wormhole through space to an unknown region. We can only hope that it lies within the Milkyway Galaxy, though we have yet to find any correlation to known star charts. I have therefor temporarily designated this region of space simply as 'region 2' until we know more. We have, however, been lucky enough to encounter a local space faring civilization and I am hopeful they will shed more light on the situation for us."

Space Oddity playing the background as the USS Livingstone and its two supporting Nebula Class ships are pulled into a wormhole. With the music still playing as they exit the other side, Captain Bowie stands "Commander Young, Status report" he asked quickly
"All systems nominal excepting the starcharts, we appear to be in an unknown region of space" Young replied
"Jones, tell me what I'm seeing and then get to studying known star charts, let me know where we are as soon as you can"
"A star system with five planetary bodies, though one does appear to hold a space faring civilization."
"There we are, perhaps some answers" replied the Captain. "Hail the Nelson and Alexander" he ordered and when they were on screen he asked the same of them "Status report"

"A new adventure, lets get to it folks." he later sent out ship wide once initial checks had been conducted.

Actions:
1. Open communications with the space faring civilization and enquire about the region
2. Examine known star charts with position of stars found locally in an attempt to locate their position in space.

Turn 1

Rimaj sat in his quarters, meditating over this new situation that the hunter fleet had found themselves in. They were an unknown distance from explored space, had limited amounts of hunters, and, most grievously, had lost their prey. But not all was bad, the fact that they were in a new section of space meant that they may be able to find new prey, new trophies, new glory. Yes, they would hunt, and stalk, and learn all that they could of this new prey. They would earn their right to call themselves true hunters, greater even than their forefather hunters. For now though, they needed to learn. For hunting without knowledge lead to loss and death. These other spacefarers would be their first prey, and the planets near them would be scoured to determine if there was anything worthy of the name upon them. Rimaj stirred at last, smiling grimly, it was time to begin the hunt.

Action 1 - Stalk the nearby spacefaring civilization and determine what they are as well as searching for weaknesses

Action 2 - Scour the other two planets and determine what is upon them

The Newcomers are already making a splash in this new galaxy. Most wonderful, most wonderful.

It is always good to see how those newly introduced adapt to the various other races that already reside within this new realm that they have never experienced before.

The Borg have begun to assimilate lesser lifeforms to expand their numbers for even greater assimilation. Quite on par for them. Soon enough they’ll threaten the entire region of space.

The Dominion have incorporated two entire species into their forces while creating peace between them. That should be helpful in the days to come.

The Federation making friends through scientific know how. Of course they would, what else would one expect from their number.

The Romulans have also expanded their empire by gaining the support of another space faring species through the type of subterfuge that only the Romulan people are truly capable of crafting. It should serve them well.

The Self Proclaimed Pirate Queen has begun to already amass a fleet of ships by killing a major rival. Pirates flocking to other pirates, it is a beautiful thing, is it not?

The Hirogen have already found themselves at home, ambushing a small patrol fleet, taking trophies and prisoners of those deemed worthy enough to do so. There will be much to hunt here for them.

Immediate scans have determined that they are in "Region 1". The solar system that they are in within this Region is made up of 7 Planets with a yellow star. The third and fifth planets support life and both seem space capable.

With both plants and their respective people willingly under the thumb of the Dominion, they are now able to get a foothold on the deposits that will allow them to produce more Ketrocel White for their shock troops.

After all, an army without what sustains them, will only fall to ruin. And with all the forces that they have with them, it would be folly to allow such a thing to come to pass.

A distress call arrived from the edge of the star system. Long Range scans confirm it to be a derelict? Large Cargo vessel. Scans hadn’t picked it up earlier, but anything was possible while there was interference from all the fighting.

The Region of Space was listed as "Region 1". The solar system that they were in contained 5 planets surrounding a Red Giant Star. It contains 2 planets that support life. One of which was industrial era and the other was in early space flight.

The remaining planet in the system that contained life was an industrial era species.

Intercepting transmissions, they are a slave based culture called the Martitians. They are close to achieving space flight and consist of multiple nations that are in a sort of space race in order to do it.

The Hortensians seem to be integrating well with the Volskiar’s forces. They have been happy to join a larger space group as a whole rather than being limited to a smaller area and with only a non space faring neighbor. 3 more Hortensian Engineers join the task force.

They were in "Region 2"- The Solar system now contained 8 Planets with a yellow star. 3 of which contained life. One was pre industrial and the other was industrial.

One species has been fully assimilated, while the other was destroyed by their own unwillingness to allow themselves to be assimilated into the collective.

All those that are deemed worthy will be added to the collective to bring it closer to perfection. All their biological and technological distinctiveness will be added to our own. It is futile to resist.

The only remaining planet containing life was filled with preindustrial primitives. It was a world brimming with life. There was no industry and they seem to actively worship the stars.

The other remaining two planets are uninhabited.

They found themselves in "Region 2". The Solar System that they were in had 5 planets and a yellow star. One of them was inhabited by a space faring civilization.

Peace and alliance had been achieved with the Ogran now that Bowie had managed to help them solve their world disaster. They were grateful to the Federation, but mostly to Jospeh Bowie who had saved them.

But now other issues lurked on the horizon with all these nearby Empires and space faring nations that existed. Would they be friends or foe?

The Halcyon Empire- Rivals of the Ogran for resource rich planets

The Yesrriye Dominion- Cngolmerate of different worlds that have high technology and ships, using them to band together and wipe out a nation that had threatened their existence.

The Queb Federated Planets- A small peaceful group of explorers and diplomats that have a trading empire.

They were in “Region 3” and the solar system that they were in had 9 planets and orbited a White Dwarf. But the biggest feature of this system was a large space station.

The Station was vast and now they had a foothold, having killed Garth The Mauler in the ThunderDome and taken his Pirate Fleet and crew in the exchange. The life of a Pirate was to live fast and die hard. And he certainly managed to do that.

The other Pirate Leaders would be keeping their eyes on the self proclaimed Pirate Queen. And sure enough, things were different on the station.

Some Pirates even seemed much more on edge than they had seemed before. But whether that was because of Sisha or something else, it was difficult to ascertain for sure.

Their scans determined that they were in “Region 3” in a solar system that had 3 planets orbiting a Red Giant. One of the planets seems to have space travel with advanced ships. First glance, they seem equal to the Hirogen Vessels.

The first Prey had some among them that had proven worthy to hunt. The others, not nearly as much. But now they would continue their hunts and gather more trophies with their experienced hunters who would grow more and more so in the future.

With Rimaj in charge, they would continue to find worthy prey, with this species or elsewhere.

The Hunters are overjoyed with these fresh new species to hunt. A new type of prey always brought exhilarance than when fighting a previously known one.

Talos - Dominion - Turn 02

Conference Room of the Emissary
Talos regards the leaders of the two race he recently incorporated into the Dominion and ended their vicious little system war. He felt accomplished, knowing he was doing the work set forth by the Founders. The Jem'Hadar even had seemed pleased by the abrupt deployment of their skills to resolve the matter of getting the Ty'Floy to reconsider the Dominion's offer on behalf of beings who had the wisdom to embrace the Order of Things. While there was clear disdain for the Bindras free-willed culture, the fact they had taken the offer and were likely to embrace the treaty made the disdain kept in check. They had respected the Founders' vision.

"I am so glad both parties could be here today. Your treaties are signed and even now my personnel are preparing the various documents and data to commence a more unified system economy that I believe will benefit you both," Talos said to High Lord Xenon and the Bindras Council. He did notice the looks the parties were giving one another, though more tame considering Xenon had embraced the Dominion's peace.

"I know there are still hard feelings over the conflict, but I would like to redirect that energy to Dominion projects at this time. Now that peace is being established, I have two facilities that I would like constructed. Ty'Floy itself has certain chemical elements required for the production of a specialized provision called Ketracel-White. I will be dispatching Overseer Sevarrin to lead the construction of that complex," Talos said as he pulls up some data and schematics.

"Rest assured the production of this compound is not hazardous, simply complex. It poses no threat to Ty'Floy or its people. We even will ensure the facility is built on some deserted isle or location to ensure security while not disturbing the population. All we ask is for the promised cooperation as a Dominion member for resources and staff. It won't be demanding and we will seek methods to compensate you," Talos noted as he taps commands to bring up another sect of designs and information.

"Now then, Bindra has a certain technological advantage I aim to tap into for the construction of a cloning facility. I would like to entrust this to the array of Scientists that the Council has been willing to make available to use at this time. This facility is equally intended to not disturb or upset. It will be constructed out of they way for security. It will also help to show the Dominion's interests in not being too intrusive to our new member worlds."

Talos pauses as he starts to hand over datapads with the details and information to the two parties present. There were additional files on Dominionese and economics, but he would address those more in coming days when all parties were more firmly situated. It would allow the rulers time to examine and process this new information as well. Better to help along the process as the Dominion turned this system into its new capital location in this unknown galaxy.

"Obviously, we are aware of that derelict signal, but at this time feel it necessary to show our trust in both new member worlds. Each of you have been granted a very important facility in securing the Dominion's ongoing presence and ability to support you both. From these will come our increased capacity to do more and show you the true deeper benefits of embracing the Dominion. So let us move on to the next issue...."

Talos happily plays peacemaker and host while they move to return the rulers to their specific worlds, dropping off needed personnel and information to commence the work that would cement this system as integral to the Dominion's power base.

Eight of Thirteen - The Borg - Turn 2Region 2 - Artemis Cluster
The assimilation of one of the two planets had went well and a regular source of drones was now in place. What would need to come next would be somewhere to expand the fleet beyond the Hypercube and the few odd ships they had acquired. The Borg Cube was a formidable vessel capable of taking on multiple foes at once and that was exactly what was needed.

Beyond that, there was a need to consider next steps with the last remaining inhabited planet of the solar system. They were primitive but it wouldn't be the first time the Borg had taken primitives, and for Eight, this was an exceptional situation. If they provided strong physical forms or maybe some other currently unknown benefit, they would be added as the others had been.

Numbers would be key to the survival of the lost Borg, and Eight who had regained some semblance of individual thought, would be the one to lead them back to the rest of the collective, with a vast new horde of Borg in tow.

Movement: None

Action 1: Assign 1000 drones to build a drydock using the resources from the destroyed planet and escape ships to allow construction of Borg Cubes. (If can't use the destroyed planet, use resources from acquired planet).

Action 2: Visit the primitives to understand their usefulness as an addition to the Collective versus extermination for their resources.

Borg Drone Roll: 83

ACT I - THE CLOSING

PERSONAL LOG #54 | Stardate: ??? Location - "Region I"

I have received detailed reports regarding the success of sub-commander Thala's mission planetside. The Tal Shiar certainly have their uses; toppling a planetary government with the resources we have at our disposal now, was no small feat. Once contact has been reestablished with the Imperial Navy, I shall be sure to suggest a commendation. The Hornastian Engineers graciously provided by the planetary administration have been well integrated with Engineering teams across the various vessels. As expected, there seem to be many knowledge gaps in their understanding of such things as warp cores, and advanced cloaking technology, but I've been informed by the Engineering Corps that they're quick studies. Hornastian society itself needs further scrutiny, from a cursory understanding there seems to be about 16 different forms of address in their tongue, depending on the rank and position of a superior. It is in times like this that I regret not having been accompanied by a science vessel in this endeavour against the forces of the Dominion. The insights of a xenoanthropologist would've been invaluable in exploiting the sensibilities of these primitives. And, there's also the matter of gaining a deeper understanding of their physiology.

Nevertheless, we must press on; there's still another planet in this system to bring to heel. I've dispatched a team from the Decius to begin secret negotiations with one of the various nation states that dot Martitia. If we secure the rich labour pool that they'll be able to provide, the wealth of this sector and beyond shall be ours for the taking.

ACTIONS
  • Establish a secret line of communication with one of the nation states that dot the Martitia, promise planetary dominance in exchange for subordination. Use petty national grudges or regional identities to our advantage. If negotiations are successful begin a campaign to unify the planet under Romulan intermediaries.
  • Perform a system survey to gauge the mineral and strategic wealth that exists on the various planets in the system. Hornastian Engineers are employed to build planetary mining systems, digging deep into the veins of resource rich planets. Slaves secured from the Martitians shall be used to extract these resources. DESCRIPTION: Hornastian Engineers - Capable of building vast ground based structures. Anything being constructed in space will require additional supervision.

Mairre's Marauders
Turn 2

The heavy sounds of fist meeting fabric echoed through the dimly lit gym located on the old Klingon Vorcha ship, a ship that Mairre had taken for her own after killing the occupants. Her fist smashed over and over into the large punching bag, her emerald green skin slick with sweat as her taut muscles twisted and pulled with every powerful blow. A ferocious snarl was across her lips as she saught to beat the gym into submission... She had achieved a 'great victory' already, claiming nearly a third of the pirate station in a single move, but Sisha Mairre was not pleased. She was furious with what had happened.. But why?

She had control of the 'Maulers' crew, but there was one issue that bothered Mairre. The brute had touched her. It was a small thing, likely noticed by the rest in the face of her following overwhelming victory, but to Mairre? The future pirate queen of this space station and all of the space beyond? It was unacceptable. She was better then that, stronger then that, smarter then that. The fact some revolting human was able to touch her pristine emerald flesh was an abomination against the natural order of the universe. Orion's took what they wanted, when they wanted, moreover, males belonged on their knees, bowed and broken before their superiors..

From the corner of her eye, she spotted a slave peeking at her from around a door. The slave was likely sent by one of her lieutenants, none of which were eager to face her in her current 'mood', so the cowards had sent a disposable slave in their place. It was hard to find 'good help' these days. She drove her fist into the bag again, a sharp tear split the air as her fist burst the bag open as a deluge of small beads spilled forth from the insides to begin to pile up on the metal floor.

"Clean this up," Mairre barked to the hiding slave as she stormed out of the room. She had more work to do, 'Mauler' had touched her, but he would be the last. She had shown her strength and her brutality, now it was time to show her cunning. The Space Station would be hers.

Actions
1. Send Orion Slaves and agents to make contact with the pirate captains serving under the Harbinger. As a Ferengi Pirate, Mairre is betting that they underpay their captains, or take too large of a cut. She is going to use her new influx of wealth to bribe them over to her side before she launches a hostile take over of Harbinger's crew. [Cunning] [Domineering] [Pheromones]

2. Mairre is going to 'encourage' her Hirelings [200 of the buggers] to begin participating in the Saturday Morning Breakfast Arena [that actually happens every day] in order to gain skill and experience and begin earning the right to become proper Raiders. [Warrior-Queen]

Velkas Pack
Turn 1

Trophies, the lifeblood of a Hirogen's social status. They were what the young sought after and what the old showed with pride, it was truly a poor Hirogen indeed who had not a single one. These thoughts filled Rimaj's head as he slowly and methodically sharpened the first, and most functional, of his own trophies. A punch knife which had been made of the fang of a beast that he had killed barehanded. A matching scar marred his side to the day from the same beast, forever showing how worthy of prey it had been.

Their opponents among The Dyxorn had proven that they were a worthy prey, the perfect kind to blood themselves upon in this new galaxy. They would continue to attack them, to harvest them for ever more trophies. They would take their ships, their people, everything that they could, and then they would continue to take until they were satisfied. From there they would empty the remaining two planets within this system of their resources, ensuring that the Hunter Fleet would survive, no matter what may come. And the others on these planets? They would either prove to be prey, or nothing more than livestock to slaughter.

Action 1 - Continue actions against The Dyxorn, taking slaves and ships as possible without attacking large groups

Action 2 - Begin to harvest all possible resources from the two less developed planets in the system
