CHO MONTALBA
daeho-cha-ake1.jpg
Cho was a bit put off by the man's brusqueness. "All right, then," she mumbled as he walked away, his cybernetics dangling. She eyed him as he left; he wasn't too bad-looking, even with those robot bits. She might have to start seriously flirting with him once everything was settled.

She decided to take the man's advice and report to the captain. She made her way to the control room, shotguns in tow, suitcase left behind at the docking ramp for the moment, ignoring the antics of the other crewmates (which honestly looked like fun, but she'd have time for fun later). This ship was pretty big... Finally, she made it. Sure enough, the captain was there, and looking none too happy.

"Cho Montalba, checking in!" Cho said brightly, doing one of those weird anime peace sign gestures.

Roy sighed. "You're lucky I had to deal with Emil being an ass. Otherwise you'd have been walking into an empty hangar. Just sit and get the safety briefing." Roy walked off and Willow started the brief

The ship's door closed and Roy took a seat at the Pilot's Chair. A few configurations to make things perfect and the ship began hovering. Without waiting anymore, the ship began to fire up the thrusters. The hangar door opened and Roy smiled at what was to come. Locked in the cockpit with only the copilot allowed to enter and the sounds of her noise-cancelling headset cancelling out anything not told to her by Willow or Mission Control, she was back in a good mood. "Off we go," Roy said over the intercom, announcing it to the entire ship.

A hunk (strong emphasis) of metal, wiring, and all the other goodies you pack into a robot nowadays was sprawled across the floor with a limb reaching out in separate directions. What it was was unknown. It remained immobile. Perhaps asleep, or as close to sleeping as you could get for a machine. But this happened not to be a machine, but a cyborg. Harrison Norfolk, the famed half-man, half-machine intergalactic gunslinger - or so he says. Clearly he was already up to date with all his work, though that would imply that he had any to do in the first place. Not at all. He was too busy smuggling himself onto the ship to catch a ride across the infinite expanse of the galactic ocean.

The confined space that Norfolk compressed himself into was rattled as the ship engaged itself in the routine planet-departing procedure. The shaking awoke the cyborg from his slumber, though he probably wasn’t sleeping to begin with - more likely waiting for the ship to whir into motion and for the crew to all be present when he announced himself as their newest addition.

“M’kay. Seems like now’s the best time to do my thaaang.” As he spoke, the ominous crimson glare emmitting from his face intensified before returning to its former preset. A likely indicator for a deaf man that he was talking. Soon he began to set his joints and artificial muscles into motion, crawling through the narrow gaps that led to his little hidey hole. He stopped as soon as he found himself opposite to a ventilation grille. He forced his mechanical foot through the flimsy metal before the rest of his body scuffled out into a more spacious environment.

At this point Norfolk had not a single clue of where he was. Perhaps he could acquire the attention of one of the crew members? Perhaps they could offer him a tour across this sort-of-fine-but-not-exactly vessel.

“Attention! I am an elderly man in need of assistance!”

Lucas had just barely gotten on aboard the ship. His communicator still on as he was in a call with his parents as he ran aboard "Yeah....yeah mom, i know!...." he said into the commutator "Sorry...oh! the ships taking off! love you mom, love you dad!" he said happily down the mic as he turned it off after hearing their responses. He took a moment too look around the ship. It was pretty nice all things considered. Down the way he could hear the voices of other people, no doubt the other crew members. To be perfectly honest he felt a little out of place. Everyone else would be directly doing something on board and he was just....there. On a sanctioned voyage. Of course sanctioned by the UTY.

It only then dawned on him he had no idea where anything was on the ship. However, rather than be disheartened he did the one thing he was great at, explore. He wandered about for a while, sometimes following the sounds of the voices and other times just walking around. Eventually he came to a stop at what seemed like a bedroom, and hell, it was pretty nice! He found a room that seemed without an owner and walked in, putting his bag on the bed. He was pretty sure the UTY company had informed the captain of his presence, at least he hoped so.

(Sorry for the short and late post, I've been busy. Also, there isn't much to do during the brief but stick it out.)

Emil had expected his commentary to be ignored by the captain, having already received death threats from her. Frightened, he was not; but it did lead him to be curious about the attitudes of the remaining crew and whether or not they were of the same mindset she was. However, his curiosity would have to wait until later, since the safety brief was put on hold yet again by another later arrival.

"Welcome, welcome." Emil would greet Cho, while also kicking a seat towards her. "You too get the honor of being forced to listen to this safety brief; and if you're like me, you've already heard the damned thing hundreds of times over.." His false enthusiasm didn't seem to waver in the slightest, and could even have been mistaken for genuine if his facial expressions didn't seem it otherwise. "Take it away, Willow! We're all ears!" Emil then rested both of his elbows on the table in front of them, resting his head atop his hands with a demeanor that truly began to express his disinterest in the brief.

A nudge to his back would take the ex-pirate's attention away from the brief, and he would turn in the swivel chair to face the individual. Emil would immediately acknowledge that the being was either encased in armor, or another one of the ship's mechanical crew. With Hyevane's eyes set on Emil, the pirate would tilt his head towards the captain to send the former's attention in that direction. "She's a bit busy at the moment, with having our ship take off and all. It's also very rude to stare, is there something you need?"

Limping his way to his quarters after directing the crew member, Cho to the control room to meet up with the captain of the ship. With each step Yukito had taken forward he could easily feel the tearing of the flesh on his right arm and leg from just having his leg dragging across the metal floor as well as from how tightly he had been unknowingly gripping his arm. Even being part mechanical internally, the fact that his kin still had some sort of understanding of humans and such made these injuries cause him severe amounts of pain that rose the pain sensors in his head to high levels, he had to get these injuries fixed as soon as he got to his quarters.
Just as the hooded male had been panting and approaching ever closer towards his room, the sudden sound of rapid footsteps rushing down the opposite end of the corridor had him lift his gaze upwards only to come and witness the sight of a familiar female face that he had seen in the cafeteria earlier rushing down the opposing hall in a hurried pace. Doing as she had excused herself, Yukito attempted to stand aside to allow the woman to pass, though instead of continuing on her way down her path, the woman decided to stop in the middle of her tracks just to question the male about his condition and even pointing at his injured hidden arm underneath his sleeve.

Slightly standing to one side to keep his arm hidden towards the side of the wall, the hooded male made sure to make eye contact with the human woman as he simply gave her a reassuring smile. "Ah, nothing to be concerned about. I just...fell and had gotten caught underneath a piece of machinery in the docking bay. Just a little flesh wound. Please, you appeared to had been in a hurry. I can tend to myself." As he assured the woman of his own condition, the fact that he stated his injuries was nothing more than a flesh wound was moreover just because to this day, Yukito hadn't fully trusted humans just yet with telling them about how his kin was a race of most machine and that were appearing to copy humans in a way; after-all, the Xeropt had taken plenty of measures to make sure they were not found by the humans let alone many other races.

Moments after speaking with the woman, whether she would decide to go off onto his own business or stand there still, it would not change as the sounds of the captain's voice over the intercom once again rang throughout the ship about how they were off to go. With that simple statement, the interior of the ship had given a quick jolt from it's first inch of movement that nearly caused Yukito to collapse from how he still had an injured leg aside from his intact one. "Well, here we go..."

"Nutritionist my butt, I've had enough of those pod. Make me literally anything that doesn't have them in you or imma' mess with your docking station so you are going to recite the entirety of Hamlet while charging," Kicks blurted out "You don't want me angry, Maisie! You really don't!"
"Nah, make use of GrooveBot if ya need, Doc. He's a robot - prolly' stronger than all ya'll, also more precise. If nothing else you can make him dance for moral support." The kid said to the doctor and the robot confirmed this statement with "Here to help!" in an really cool sounding desert ranger-type voice. "Anyway, he's set to assist you anyway, so he'll follow you until I tell him to stop, which won't happen soon, cuz' my mouth is full of brea-" Kicks' sentence was interrupted by him putting bread in his mouth.

MAISIE turned to Kicks, her red eye staring at him as if she was trying to glare. "Do not lecture me on nutrition! I'm not one of your drones, Kicks. I am an Inara Systems Military Tactical Drone created with the express purpose to disarm bombs and handle some of the most dangerous things on the planet."

She crossed her arms as the other two placed a tiny bib that acted as an apron. "You'll eat what I cook and you'll like it!"

Hyevane Ichijna (3rd POV)
SentinelSevn SentinelSevn Kylesar1 Kylesar1
Hyevane's eyes never blinked, never swayed, sharply moving now and then. Metal body standing. Sharp claws, bloodied limbs. Panels lifted off of his body, showing light and a crystalline body underneath. Tap. Shuffling. Tense air. Hyevane only smiled as Emil barked at him. Slithering down just a little, but still much focusing on Emil. Hyevane adjusted his jaw, showcasing an array of crystalline teeth, hundreds much. He uncovered a singular lightless black crystal, immensely hard, and thin. He whirled his arm, his hand made of layers of shards, coming loose to reveal an inner mechanism. Long, swirling, yet sturdy around the mechanical supports and "bones" of his body. Each part small and intricate, naked, to the human eye, the level of complexity in the design. Zap, zap. Crackle of energy as it enhanced into an alien circuit system, one layer at a time. Quick and concise, the circuit plopped into the crystal.

Hyevane hoisted the crystal, packing some energy inside, and framing information and energy conduits for the outside of the lightless black. He reveals a similar piece, super-heating the crystal to shape. Touching his input briefly, he attached a hybrid flash drive inside.

"Hmm, seems to be working. Now," Hyevane's eye's focused still on Emil. "an output conduit for non-mechanical beings." A lighter, grey crystal fanned over the outside, having four points and flow of energy outwards. Then an image appeared, a basic diagram of unknown constellations with an alien, spherical language footnoting the image. He then revealed a normal flashdrive, placed above the apparatus, a cage of energy closes over the drive before more human images appear on the device. "Excellent."

Hyevane looked to Captain Roy, "Is there some sort of briefing and what will be our first operational objectives?"

Robert watched Ennis rush out of the room like a cat chasing a laser. It was funny, at least it was a distraction from the current patient currently comatose on the lunch table. Though something really bothered him. The flash he was handed. What could really contain in it? The way he said, redacted records and the baseless claim to trust him. Something he did not plan to do until he got to the bottom of it. He returned to monitor his vitals, keeping a rough sketch of his vitals. At least we was improving which was something to smile to.

After a while, Ennis returned to the cafeteria with the patient trolley. Together they hoisted him on it and rushed him to med bay. They managed to reach the bay in a short time and he placed him on an empty bed. He pressed a button and a scanner moved from the head of the bed to the nd twice, acquiring both CT scans and MRI's of the patient. Naturally he wasn't surprised cause of the huge number of modification and since he was here, he proceeded with the blood and DNA collection for banking and reference.

"Thanks for the assist Ennis. I will definitely remember this. You can proceed to your duties i can finish up, besides, " He flashed out a thumb drive "I have work that needs to be done." He grabbed the tablet from the foot of the bed and synchronized the data with his computer. "I shall escort you out." He left the med bay and proceeded to his personal quarters.

He did not have time to unpack so he locked the door and started to unpack, placing photos of his family on the bedside table and his clothes on the closet. He smelled his armpits. Daaaaaaaaaaamn!!!!! Shower it is. After a refreshing 20 minute shower, he wore some basic clothes and sat on the computer. He opened his account and the CT and MRI scans showed. He examined them slowly, making notes on his small note notebook. These will definitely come in handy. And now to address the elephant of the room. The flash drive.

With a slight hesitation on his hand, he plugged in the flash drive and a log in caption showed. He input the password and pressed the "Decrypt" button and files and files popped on his screen. Most of the data was redacted so he had to wait for him to wake up to get the full picture. He managed to the ingredients of the drug Verindium which was relatively easy to produce, 3 hours most but he did not have the ingredients to make it. Also the ship was not equipped with the machine to make the drug. He had to place a requisition order to get it.

The captain announced that we are taking off so he braced himself for a sudden loss of G forces.

"How bout' I just go starve and steal something from the kitchen later. Damn women!" Whenever Kicks spoke with aggressive emotion, like this time, there was always a slight hint of sarcasm in his tone. It was never easy to understand, if he was being serious or not. Now if you'll scuse' me, I have a billionaire to save."
With his last remark, Kicks started bouncing out of the kitchen, towards his quarters. On the way he met GrooveBot, who reported that he wasn't assigned any tasks and that the only thing he had left to do was to rendezvous with Kicks, though the way he said it sounded more like "No jobs, chum, nothing left to do, but to find my old buddy!" in his usual cool guy voice, which made Kicks giggle like a schoolgirl.
Halfway to his room, Kicks heard the alert and quickly laid down on the ground, telling the robot to do the same.

The briefing wrapped up. Roy looked to Cho and Emil. "Now get to work and stop being late. Next time you'll be listening to it at 1/3 speed." a 10 minute lecture moving at 1/3 speed would take that one briefing to 30 minutes.

Hyevane approached her asking about mission plans. She pointed at the holographic briefing area. She showed a picture of a space pirate ship attacking a spacecraft that looked similar to their old time space shuttles and it blowing up. She pressed a button to transmit the message to everyone on the ship. "Aye, well our first destination is the Planet of Clorix, home to the race of Corians, which we used to portray in Anime as Nekos and Kitsune. That's the closest I can get to an accurate description, as they release very limited information about themselves and haven't advanced high enough for Space Travel. What they have now is about the distance from Earth to Mars and that's still pretty recent so it's still relatively groundbreaking for them. Apparently they need some help with Space Pirates in the vicinity damaging or destroying their spacecraft. That, and a civil war between 2 factions raging in areas around one of the nation's capitals about how to deal with the issue. We'll need to establish comms back to Earth to get the Defense Force on the job. In exchange for our protection and helping them advance in technology, they're offering us a valuable naturally occurring Amorphous Metal that's as about as strong as reinforced steel. They have it in abundance and they're allowing us a large land mass that they themselves don't have the equipment advanced enough to traverse." They were set to gain a LOT of this Amorphous Metal from an uninhabited land. They didn't have to process it at all, it being 100% naturally occurring and stronger than reinforced steel

Just a flesh wound?.. Just?

Unconvinced.jpg

She swore she even saw electric sparks coming from his arm. An arm of flesh wouldn't do that. Only mechanical ones. Like the pair of two she had as legs.
Ennis hated to be one to pry, really. If the roles were reversed, she would've reacted similarly. Pushing others away and refusing any help even when in badly distress. It usually worked for her and people would eventually get the clue to leave her alone.
But like hell she would dare think of neglecting others in that manner alike.

Thoughts were interrupted by the captain's voice speaking through the intercom. The ship was finally taking off, then gave a severe jolt, nearly causing them both to flip over- well more-so the hooded man to be exact- she had used the walls as support and kept herself steady with solid footing.
Ennis was almost about to grab onto the injured man to save him from dropping to the floor, but held back seeing him be able to regain his balance right in time before she could do anything.

As for her conclusion- His arm could be artificial and there was probably more to the story than what he told.
Her years serving as a detective and vigilante taught her to second everything.

"...Okay, look. To me, it looks a lot more serious than just a flesh wound. You can't fool me with that."
Didn't he limp too..?

"But I'm not one to pry and meddle with someone's business, cuz I know how annoying that is. Therefore, I'll respect your privacy and space enough to let you be.
Anyway, I'm heading for the Med Bay, so in case you're looking to reach for your room, allow me to at least accompany you there. I can lend you an arm, and I promise you, I'll disappear right after that. But if you choose to decline this too, then I'll have no objection either." Her face softened as she gave him an subtle yet sincere smile. Whether it would help earn his trust or not she couldn't tell, nor did it matter to her.

Whatever choice he made, was up to him. Ennis would eventually have to resume her running towards the Med Bay and grab a patient trolley.
Upon finding the infirmary, Ennis looked around the place to see any sights of a patient trolley. She thankfully did however happen to meet the female medic whom Robert was mentioning before.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Ennis. I need to borrow the patient trolley for a bit- Oh, and could you prepare a bed for an upcoming passed out patient? Thanks!" Speaking loud and fast, before the woman could've had much of a chance to react, Ennis dashed out with the patient trolley back to the cafeteria, handing it over to Dr. Robert.
Icarus was brought to the Med Bay for further examination, and Ennis who'd returned to her own room, slumped down on the seat in front of her desk, face lying flat on it's surface.
"What an adventure..."

MAISIE followed Kicks to his quarters, her tiny robot voice filled with venom. "What's that suppose to mean, huh? And who are you calling a little lady? I'm waaaaay smarter than your average fifth grader! And coming from a guy who makes giant metal robots it's no wonder you-"

Her voice was cut off by the alarm as the ship launched. MAISIE, barely had time to hold on for something as her body got slammed against the wall.

Twitchy

At this point, it appeared that no soul would come to the aid of Norfolk. How rude. It would be deeply unfortunate, should there have actually been an elderly man in need of assistance. A shame it was, but such a thought could never keep this cyborg down. If the crew wouldn’t come to find him, he’d have to go and find them. It shouldn’t be too hard anyway.

Twitchy marched on, leaving behind the corridor he briefly found himself desiring attention in. He moved onto the next, and journeyed until he found himself at a T-corridor. Norfolk was never the best at choosing between right or left, but right rhymed with right, so it must be the best solution. And as such, the cyborg - and potentially man-child - carried on with his little adventure to find new people.

“Hellooooo? It is I, Sakdum Harcekalunna, the infamous intergalactic terrorist! I have smuggled a bomb onto this vessel, and you can only stop me by confronting me! Choose wisely, potential eavesdropper!”

Even as Yukito had stood there after regaining his full balance once the ship had finally taken off from the hanger and off into space. After informing the woman that he was alright, it had appeared by what she had stated; she seemed to had been able to see through his lie even if he hid his arm that was sparking through his sleeve. Unaware about how obvious the wound was on his leg from his constant limping through the corridor, once she had offered the assistance and that she would not meddle too much into his business, he would only give silence in response for a few moments. "Hm, i was...indeed heading to my room. I do not mind the assistance if you are not too busy.." With that, Yukito decided to take up the woman's offering and allow her to assist him to his quarters where he had her help him through the door before he had thanked her; right after only having her do as she had stated and just run off to her own business once again. Just because the woman had helped him in such a way, Yukito still highly debated whether or not he should trust anyone just yet with any kind of information about himself though the fact that the woman was respectful enough about his own privacy was at least a step in step in the direction of having his own trust to begin with.

Finally, being able to make his way over towards the chair that was pushed in by a desk that ad been there for his own usage. The first thing the hooded male had decided to work with was his arm. Gripping it firmly just to place it onto the table, Yukito immediately opened up multiple panels all over his arm just to end up revealing that there were several wires and even parts that had been fried if not crushed. Shaking his head at the sight of the damage, he brought his index finger from his left hand into the spots that were damaged just to begin carefully removing the damaged parts before having a small welding laser begin coming from the tip of his finger to repair some of the damage even if it was only temporary.

Throughout the entire time he had worked on his arm, knowing that he was going to have to do the same later on with his leg; in the middle of his repairs, a large screen had decided to show itself out of nowhere in front of him to reveal images and video footage of what appeared to had been fighting between pirates and a race of people that came from the voice of the Captain being called Corians. Listening to the briefing of the first mission that was to occur while he had continued to work onto the repairs of his arm and leg, the idea of what they would gain out of helping these people and about how their technology wasn't really that advanced only had him all the more curious about whether or not this was a good idea right off from the bat. Immediately pressing into a small button that was in the corner of the screen to be able to get into contact with the captain for questions, Yukito only halted his repairs to get some proper answers first. "Captain Roy, are you sure this is wise? If these people have such low technology...even if they are aware of the other races out there..Won't us interfering with this whole thing cause quite the uproar considering they are already dealing with a civil war of their own? If we disturb their civil war or intervene too much into it, it might end up possibly causing many of the people of one or another to view us as the enemy instead. I'm sure that will not end well for us." After fully questioning the Captain and awaiting for his answer, Yukito immediately returned to his repairs once again.

SS Destiny in Space around Earth

Roy got back to him. "Agreed, but I don't make the decisions about what we do and don't do. The way the big heads explained it was that the civil war was around dealing with the sky pirate problem. Apparently some of the Corian officials think that our intervention will offer a 3rd solution that doesn't upset either group and still dissolve the civil war.......as well as overclock their technological advancement." Big heads was a known term she used to talk about people who had authority to tell her what to do. "Whatever the case, it's much easier to ask the Corians themselves."

By this time, the ship was in space and Roy put it on cruise. The coordinates were set, but it would take a bit of time to actually get to the coordinates for them to go into hyperspace and arrive in the Galaxy they needed to be at. For now, they could enjoy the sights of other planets, ships, and beings all floating about the vast vacuum. This reminded Roy of the times she sailed across the ocean with nothing but sea, fish, seagulls, and the shipmates far and wide. That was the life of a sailor and while the experience was great, it was a one time thing for her. This was the life of an explorer. Always unique, far bigger than the sea, the earth, and the Milky Way. She breathed to survive, she explored to live and she never felt more alive than when she left Earth's Orbit on her next mission.

"Finally, I can relax." The launch was the hard part of the mission, as she had to have 100% accountability, give them all briefings, go through and submit paperwork, all that bullshit..........all in a time limit or she would be punished somehow. In this case, she came out with a $200 punch to her wallet. Whatever. She was just happy to go out. "Who wants to go a round in the spar chamber against me and Willow?" she announced over the intercom. She was always ready for combat training. Now that this ship was brand new in optimal condition and there would be a bit of time before actually reaching the coordinates, she gotthe rare free time to do whatever she wanted as a person and not as a captain

"Giant battle robots, Maisie. Most robots are made out of metal, you doofus," Kicks scoffed while getting up, starting to walk towards his room "You may have been trained by a master gourmet cook, but some people don't like gourmet!" The kid butchered the word gourmet so much is almost sounded intentional, but didn't stop walking or even look at Maisie while walking "So I don't want to hear another word about your manure pods! You either cook proper meals or you leave me alone! I packed enough Jupiter bars to last me at least a month! I'm warning you!"
On his last few words he turned around and shook his finger in front the MAISIE units ocular sensor.

Royce-Ann Gabrielle Bivens
SS Destiny in Space- Approaching Hyperspace Coordinates

They were approaching their Hyperspace coordinates. Royce-Ann came in over the intercom. "Alright people, we will be going into Hyperspace to Galaxy Mike. Make your collective ways to somewhere to strap down. This isn't a suggestion. This is an order, as you can die by being thrown against anything going at the speed we're going to be going." Galaxy Mike wasn't the actual name of the Galaxy. It was the military name for it. Since they discovered less than 26 Galaxies, they decided that it was easier to just put them in the order they were discovered going by alphabetical sequence. Mike was the military's phonetic pronunciation for the letter M (like how someone says "D as in Dog"). Basically she was saying Galaxy M, but pronounced the phonetic word for M

"Our first stop is Planet Clorix. When we reach their atmosphere, you all are to get your gear together and prepare for landing. Pack light. Luckily for us, Most of the planets in Galaxy Mike, System 7 have breathable air if you use oxygen." System was for Solar System. None of them had any sort of clue as to what they were about to get into when they got there. Roy pulled up a screen in front of everyone. Recommendations and Rules

  • Pack Light- No mechs, battle robotics, or anything heavier than an assault rifle. Don't pack too much as they could be stolen
  • Trigger Discipline- No drawing or firing weaponry without authorization unless your life is in danger
  • Expect to be treated as hostile by some of the Corians. Some will believe us to be Space Pirates
  • No explosives
  • Translators recommended
  • Keep weapons holstered
  • Lock down belongings- There may be a ship tour for the Corians to show off potential gains
  • If you need a breather for Earth, you'll need one here
  • They're similar to humans- Wear protection if you're trying to get some local tail. The similarities possibly include reproductive compatibility
  • While cities can be explored individually, they will be exited as a full group only
  • Foreign Currency is useless here as they have no space embassy. We're all about to go in essentially broke. Prepare to trade and barter for their currency

(Tell me when you are all ready. Can't advance until most of you are. Need to know who's still in or not)

"WHY. YOU." MAISIE seemed to pause for a second before taking a deep breath. "My apologies! I'm happy to accommodate you with nutritional benefits to your favor, Mr. Lazy."

When Royce gave the briefing over the intercom, MAISIE gave a quick salute. "It appears we will be heading to a stop soon. If you're planning on bringing any battle robots, I'd suggest prepping them soon and of course...if you want me to give you an Inara-certified scan of your military surplus, I'd be happy to assist as long as you eat my cooking!"

Icarus And Hyevane
Where am I? Oh the medbay, thank god. I eyed the door, no one was in the room. "What you want Hyevane?"

"I'm just getting you ready for our mission, thought I'd help you with him. If you recite my ritual."

"I assume that's like catch my drift."

"Yes, now come and suit up. Hyperspace soon." I nod, sighing.

"I am not happy with you right now, but I have no choice. Where the hell are we getting into now?" Hyevane chuckled.

"Here, let me delineate while you prepare. We must be ready. Then once you are ready, you will need to meet my contact."

"Really, this must make everything crazy." I rummaged through my equipment, pulling out munitions, and checking my gear. Maybe an EMP or two."

(Ready)

"Nah, if it was gonna blow up It'd have done it by now. Now if you don't mind, I've got a billionaire to resurrect." Kicks jumped and clapped his feet together while in air, turning into a jog right when he was done with his acrobatic feats.
Walking around the corner he stumbled upon Twitchy and being the restless teen that he was, he couldn't but take the chance to respond to the high-cyborgs comment: "Noone cares, Daddy-O," was the first sentence that escaped the prodigy child's mouth, before the walked past the half-man, heading to his quarters, not waiting for a response.
Inside his room, he locked the door and walked over to the remain shell that was standing in the corner, held up by some metal screws "carefully" placed in its joints. Kicks turned his attention to the table next to it, on which there was a cylinder container in which there was a brain. From one of the drawers he took out a syringe-shaped tool, which he waved a little, before noting "Seems like its done brewing," to himself and pressing the liquid into the brain container, making the otherwise stagnant preservation liquid start moving around.
While the goo started spinning in its chamber, Kicks slid the brain container into the correct input chamber inside the high-cyborg shell, placing some protective plates around it. The robot body started making strange start up noises, while Kicks removed the screws from its joints and placed it down on his bed and sat down on a chair to eat a Jupiter bar.
A minute or few later the shell whirred to life, suddenly sitting upright on Kicks' bed: "What! Where am I? Kicks? I thought I died..."
Kicks was still eating his Jupiter bar, these things were big and he ate slow: "Yeah, waddup man, saved yo butt. Nah, those meanies never got to your brain, they just beat up your old body," Kicks stopped for a moment to swallow the piece of the candy bar he had been chewing on "Anyways it's all good, your old body wasn't made for fighting anyway, but this one is. Custom made by yours truly. Your revolvers are on the table, your coat got wrecked, but I got your wicked-butt scarf."
The high-cyborg stood up and Kicks followed his lead, walking up to him and hugging him.
"Glad to have you back, Wattz. So right-nau we're on a ship, heading to a planet filled with cat people or some shizzle, I dunno. Your room is over the hall from me, I already organized it with the cap'. Oh, also save this briefing to your calculators hard drive. Everyone aboard is required to listen to it." Kicks handed Wattz a flash drive and jumped on his bed "Oh and, sit down or something, we're about to go lightspeed."

After lift off, Robert continued to analyze the data he had on Icarus. The modifications he had are extensive but it's nothing he hasn't seen before. The X-rays painted a pretty picture of each and everything thing and the MRI also showed what he needed to know. Anatomically, he was okay. All augmentations seemed to be working flawlessly. He switched to his blood work and fluid levels and everything seems to be normal, with the exception of the drug Veridium still in his bloodstream. Hormone levels are normal and he seemed to be okay. Still he needed Icarus to tell him what exactly happened to him to get a whole picture. Still had missing blanks to fill since most of the data was redacted. He stood up and stretched for a while. He looked around at his room and just smiled. It was really beautiful.

The captain announced the Planet of Clorix. He had no idea who were the inhabitants of the planet were so he sat down to check then the captain announced the ship will be traveling at Hyperspace speed so he sat down on the chair and locked himself in. The captain announced that we have reached our destination and decided to do some research on the planet before he stepped foot on it. Feeling confident, he packed the essentials, his stethoscope and his medical license. Gaining some experience and medical advice from a different species would be a tremendous help.

Hyperspace Coordinates

"Alright. Let's get moving. Everyone strap down or you will die, human or not." A few adjustments and the thrusters started firing up on the ship. A portal appeared opened into a wormhole. When everyone was strapped in and the thrusters were fully charged, they shot through. It didn't look like they were moving very fast if they tried to use the wormhole sides as any point of reference (like if you try to view passing trees to judge speed in a car), but they were moving at the speed of about 5 light-years, which couldn't even be viewed by the fastest tracking optical enhancements.
giphy.gif

They came out at the end of the wormhole. Roy set the coordinates to Planet Clorix and they moved towards there. They moved into the Clorix Atmosphere. She turned the thrusters backwards to slow their descent as they started plummeting down to their planet's surface like a meteor. "ETA 10 minutes," Roy said as the ship's cooling systems output at full force to keep them all from burning. As they were all falling, Alarms could be heard from all around the planet. Nothing could really be seen though, as the ship's bottom was pointed to the planet. They had to recover themselves or they would crash into the planet's surface, damaging the ship and wiping out a city or two. Even with the ship's cooling systems at max, the internal temperature of the ship was reaching about 120 degrees

"Put the thrusters at full output in the opposite direction or we won't slow down until we're too close to the surface to recover."

Ennis peaked her head up when another important message reached out to them through the intercom.
A long explanation from their captain, about their upcoming trip to the planet..Clorix was it?
Yup, and the ship was heading off to Galaxy Mike in full speed, so she'd better find a proper place to strap down in time.
Or else it could result in an untimely death by getting thrown across the room before their journey even began.
How fun.

The part about fighting against space pirates caught her full interest. But intervening in a boiling civil war didn't exactly sit right with her.
Anyhow. All the rest were information about recommendations and rules which was listed for them in a cool flashy holographic screen, text displayed clear-cut and easy to understand.

We're gonna go broke?- Hello darkness, my old friend.
She sighed and let out a snicker, face resting in her palms.
Prepare to trade and barter? She supposed she could help out a decent amount in this field- Ah, hopefully... Assuming that her learned tricks could actually be useful in a completely different environment and planet in that matter.

Planet Clorix, eh? Filled with cat-human hybrids. Nekos..kitsunes. Like in those japanese animes she'd heard so much about from the kids. Unbelievable..
Hmm..But their young offsprings must be the cutest.
And what did the screen otherwise mention...Similar reproductive compatibility.
Oh, dear. She'd forgot to bring any birth control with her! And their money would be useless there too! What misery!
Hmm, she did love children though...

Meh, just kidding. Practicing abstinence was her way to go, except if she met a suitable partner. Hah, what a joke.
On a serious note, It was amusing how the captain had decided to include this kind of info on the list as well.
Also, no explosives. Never planned on bringing any. She instead considered to bring her lightweight concealed carry pistols and some brass knuckles. Maybe a pocket sized grappling hook. It might become useful? She thought of many more varieties.

Yet the preparation could wait for now.
So when where they to take off? Damn right, pretty soon!
Firmly strapping herself in, she only waited for the ship to get going.

Ennis gripped ever so tightly with all her might as the ship hurled into a wormhole. Boy, was it getting hot or what! She was burning!
And what now, could they be crashing too?! Onto the surface of the planet?!

Great start Captain! I hope you know what you're doing.
What other options do i have than to trust these folks...

Icarus Hellsing
"Hyevane, what are we doing in your room?" The mechanical one turned around and leaded me a hand as the ship exited warp, his tentacles reaching over to touch a button on the side. The room devoid of light entirely, yet I could see to a degree. Spires, crystals, things that looked to be power conduits and panels lined up far wall of the room. The middle, a ball that Hyevane seemed to sleep in, revolved over and over again in the center. He slithered to the side of the wall with a large cube inside, fishing out a purple, slimy substance and lathered it onto a mp3 player looking device. Something, I imagine holds a far different purpose, since nothing else in the room seemed remotely recognizable. "What the hell is that?"
1519242042529.png
Hyevane turns quickly, moving his hands apart, letting the device unhinge and fray out over the room. Light began to flood into the room. Then a sudden scene materialized around the room.

"I've been busy, a "Virtual Reality" device as your kind would call it. We refer to it as a "Calling", seeking a time or scene to illustrate our interests and arguments. Naturally, I've been augmenting the original modification to this room provided by my people. Eventually, I imagine that my lab will be quite respectable. Just not of now. I will need to replicate the many tools I once had on Oberzirx, ones I will eventually go back to. Just not in the foreseeable future." Hyevane swapped crystals, modded spires, and stared a consoles for a while. His eyes narrowed and grabbed a small orb, with teal etchings in circular and some sort of language over the circles. He tapped multiple sections of the orb, letting it highlight before dropping it in the middle of the scene once again.

"Where is this?"

"Jyro, Quesra System. Unknown in your databases. One of the outer worlds of my people, the original natives of the Jyro vanquished themselves in ritual nuclear deployment. Odd behavior, we saved a few hundred from extinction, mostly those of the opposing ideology. The Jyrion, as they began to be called, looked to us to remodel their world to imagine a new form of world. And here you see one of the major restoration sites for the planet. A terraforming and economical device that is remodeling the core of the planet first, amplifying the effects to speed up surface change."

"Why are you showing me this?"

"Ultimately, I see similar problems in the planet and people we soon bear to see. While the Jyrion people of the dead were more ritualistic, they flustered over themselves and lead to their religious beliefs destroying them. These people seem different, not much of object of study for my kind until recently with stolen items appearing upon the surface. My people are on site and reclaiming the devices in secret. However, a Koldrai crystal has been infiltrated into the government."

"And the big deal?"

"The crystal holds a large payload of energy, when it finally fails to hold the energy in. It will send off a shock wave of energy. Allegations will rise, escalation of the war."

I sigh, "I hardly think you care about those people do you?"

"They seem barbaric in many cases and they be incompatible with my people. If we should come across it, we should extract it from the planet. The implications can be genocidal with their lack of restraint." I rolled my eyes, he turned around and shut everything off.

"Fine, we need to go. Come on. Its fucking hot in here."

I paged Willow to add my suit onto comms. "Hey, this is Icarus. Just wanted to add my suit to comms. Any rendezvous?"
