Machine Head
Stephen Diggs was late, late, for a very important date!

The short-stack reprobate had been chased out of the small garden by, who else, the caretaker, who had taken poorly to the fact that Steve had knocked a bunch of trees apart with a thrown hammer. So he'd packed his stuff and run, leaving behind a crushed soda can and a botanist's worst nightmare.

He was huffing and puffing his way to the training grounds when he overheard a loud cry. All Might. That voice was unmistakable. He stopped, and Listened.

The interesting thing about Air Magic was that sound was carried upon air. To which you might say 'well yes, we know'. But it means that even middling Air Mages were able to catch sounds and read the air currents created by them. Now, Stephen Diggs was no expert, but he did have an area of focus, and that was in the aforementioned sonic applications of Air. His ears didn't prick but they did do rapid intake of the currents, the magic processing its contents, triangulating its location, and narrowing his focus on the offending area all within the space of a second.

One hundred and fifteen meters, left path. Quickest route.

There was... a comment about him being late, to which he quietly said "aw hell naw!" Then a name requirement. Right. He was prepared, and broke back into a sprint. A minute or two later and Steve had made it to the training grounds with only a lack of oxygen and stitch in his side to show for the exertion.

"AIGHT! Made it y'all! I checked the time, right, and it ain't sayin' it's midday, but that's probably 'cause y'all read time weird 'round here." One of the strange things about Stephen Diggs was, aside from the drawl, was the fact that half the time no one knew what he was talking about. "Heard you talkin' 'bout me comin' up. I'm Steve!" Young Steve jammed a thumb into his chest, grinning with endless audacity. "Stephen Diggs!"

Iruvue stretched the sleep out of her muscles and yawned tinnily through her helmet. She had to force herself out of bed this morning, caught deep in dreams about her initiation into the academy. What a great time that was-- the training, the exams, the graduation letter! The best part was the noises that messenger ninja made when Momma caught him trying to sneak a letter onto the property! Even bleeding like a stuck pig, those men could leap-- Iru hoped that when she became an assassin she'd get the chance to go on courier interception duty and be just like Momma. As she walked alongside her groupmates, Iru wondered if they too had good parents who kept them safe, or if they had to make do all by themselves. Iru decided against asking-- they might suss out where she lived if she told them too much, and Momma would get mad if she let anyone trail her back to the house again.

Iru waited patiently for her Sensei to stop fighting the tree. She felt angry at the woods too sometimes, especially when she stepped on brambles. But this man was very mad at the woods! She gawped under her helmet as she imagined the gruesome woodsy tragedies that must have befallen this man, to make him so interested in ruining this tree's presumably peaceful decades of growth. She snapped out of her thoughts when this mighty man stopped hitting the tree, and started talking. As he talked, one of her groupmates came up and started yelling about how late he wasn't. Oh! His name was "Stephen Diggs"! Iru decided she needed to remember that. When "Stephen Diggs" finished talking, she decided she needed to be next.

"Um!" she shouted, her hand shooting up in the air. "I'm Iruvue! Other people call me Pest, 'cos I have stingers like a lot of bugs do, but I like when you call me Iruvue!" She folded her arms, confident. That would ensure people called her by her name.

"Oh, also!" Her hand shot up again, "you hit that tree and broke it. Why?" Through the darkness of her helmet, she beamed innocently.

Fighty
The gleam of sunlight catching on an already plenty flashy all white ensemble, almost giving off a sense of glowing that drew the eye towards it, the unruly mane of jet black hair fluttering in the wind without obstructing the owner's sight or blocking the view for others, six feet, four inches and two hundred and twenty pounds of pure, sharp man. It was hard to miss Gin Santo's arrival as he made his way towards the field.

His stride calm and measured, hands in pockets and neck craning to and fro absentmindedly looking about. Rush? There was no need to rush. He was perfectly, fashionably late to match a needlessly unannounced summons, without being the last one to arrive. That would've looked a bit bad, he had to admit, good thing he was apparently assigned to a rare four person team. What were the odds of that?

His eyes passed over everyone present, lingering on each just long enough to give them a good once-over without staring, meeting their gaze in acknowledgement. Taking stock. He was smiling as gave a slight bow, crossing his legs in good humored manners, hands still at his hips and eyes forward. "Hope I'm not the last one, am I? The name is Gin Santo, pleased to make your acquaintance."

Faye Inzuka~

Faye bites her nails, watching as yumiya runs up the tree. There was no way she would make it way higher than that. Taking a deep vexed breath, she takes a stride up to the large tree. She closes her eyes, clearing her mind if anything that would affect her while climbing. With her eyes sealed shut, mind cleared, she shoots up the tree.

Almost hitting a bird but it’ll be fine. She kept going until she started to feel the gravity pull her back down. She quickly looked around for a branch and grabbed on to it, pulling herself in and taking a seat on the branch and look around at how high she had gotten.

It wasn’t that far, but she was closer to the top of the tree than the bottom. She would assume she made it around 45-50 feet.

“KRAA.”

Is all she heard before a bird slammed into her back, pushing her off of her place on the fairly comfortable branch. Loosing her breath for a second she looks around, shocked at the sudden changes. As she was falling, she swiftly turned over (she so is now falling towards the ground on her stomach.) and before she hits the ground, she places one of her knees in and her other leg out to the side of her, planting her hands on the ground to lessen the fall.

“hmph! Oh, sorry for all of the hubbub guys!” Faye voiced as she stands up, wiping her hands on her skirt. She lowers her head and walks back to her place by the others, kinda embarrassed. She quickly brings her hand up to her mouth and begins biting her nails again.

Gyasi Omari
While en route to meet with the Konoken of Konoha Gyasi had a small issue with Oturan that distracted him. The issue caused him to be late, but he preferred to be late than not show up at all. Walking to the headquarters building was an easy task, but managing to make it to the Konokens office without hitting something wasn’t. Gyasi could find his way through unknown territory, but headquarters kept him on his toes with all the hustle and bustle. He heard papers shuffling, footsteps in different tempos, and loud chatter all around him. Too much chatter actually… Just the sheer amount of noise volume in the building confused Gyasi, so he asked one of the slayers if there was an assistance bar he could hold onto. Not only to hold him steady but as a guide to find his way through all of the bodies moving around in every direction, though he occasionally hit a person or 2 anyways.

Standing outside the boss man’s office Gyasi took a deep breath before walking in. Instantly he smelled the strong scent of pipe smoke that created a dense atmosphere around him. On instinct he wrinkled his nose but instantly stopped once aware, considering how that would look when in direct eyeshot of the Konoken. Only taking a few steps forward Gyasi bowed from the neck to greet the Konoken. He said nothing as the most powerful man in the village spoke with a stern and direct voice; not losing a breathe to remind him of where his presence stood in the village. A small yes sir followed as Gyasi could feel a sweat roll down the side of his face from the nervousness of even be in the same room as him. He subconsciously tensed his shoulders to appear smaller as he listened to who his sensei was going to be from here on. Though he couldn’t see anything the atmosphere was a heavy one even after the Konoken’s voice relaxed for a brief moment. I was starting to think they didn’t want me on a team at all, he thought to himself. Ending the conversation with a bow from the neck, and a soft “Yes, sir” Gyasi practically ran out the door. Swiftly making his way out of the headquarters building he let out a heavy breathe as he was finally able to breath. “What a commanding presence,” He mumbled to himself. "How did the Seishin manage that...?"

Stopping by his place to grab what he could Gyasi moved his finger in midair to create a symbol. The small area became distorted as Oturan manifested from thin air to accompany him towards the gate “C’mon buddy, we’re finally going somewhere.” He grinned. “Haven't met anyone yet, but I was told I need to be on my best behavior.” He chuckled as Oturan jumped around his bed. Leaving his place Gyasi made his way to the village’s East Gate, and was cleared to leave for the first time in what seemed like forever. He wasted no time in accessing Oturans eyes to see the open forest, and even the world outside of the village gates again. He could swear the air was less thick on the other side, but that thought was quickly dismissed by the excitement of meeting his new team.

“Oturan, look for a woman and 2 people please.” He said aloud. Without a second to spare Oturan flew above the forest horizon as Gyasi continued at a steady run with 2 Slayers right behind him. He sensed an unusual amount of spirits just like the time he was escorted into the village, but considering the tailed beast wasn’t riled up by them he eagerly continued on his way.

It took a few minutes for Oturan to scan the area, but the owl spotted 3 people on the trail ahead. Seeing the 3 figures from above Gyasi praised his owl who flew back down to join him “Good job buddy!”. Slowing down before approaching his new teammates Gyasi caught a few breathes of air as he bowed. “Hello, my name is Gyasi Omari, and I’ve been instructed to meet my new team.” He said enthusiastically. “I-” He sensed a large amount of spirits spread out and away from where they were all standing. What the hell?

Kizen Hatake
Kizen looked over his shoulder with a sigh escaping from his lips. Turning around he grabbed a cigarette out of his pocket putting it in between his ear. “You know what? Why don’t ya try that maybe that’ll help him,” Watching Kazume jump out of the water and taking his hoodie then shirt off. Kizen's face palmed and sighed, “So why do you have to take your tops off?” Hearing Kazume’s response, he nodded. “Yeah do it Yumiya, show him the pride of the Hyuga Clan,” Taking the cigarette from his ear he sparked it up. “Make sure you give your eyes a rest for a little while and reactivate them again when you feel it is right. Don’t overdo it. Okay?” He said to Yumiya.

“You three are on your own for a little bit. I gotta scout the area and gather us something to eat. Make sure you stay on your toes and watch each other's backs.” He turned to look up towards Faye. “I’ll be back! Make sure you watch over the others till I return!” He shouted. “Alright I’ll be back before night falls, don’t kill each other you two.” He flash stepped away.

Kizen landed on a bush releasing the smoke from his mouth; he held his face with his left hand, using the other to press against a tree. Taking his hand off from his face he looked around the forest checking for any spirits. Jumping from branch to branch he scanned the area outward and around the camp spot. There he spotted an aggressive spirit attacking a deer, Kizen jumped down from the branch pulling his Nichi weapon out, cutting its head off. Watching the spirit turn to black ash that floated to the sky.

“The spawning of these aggressive Spirits is getting worse by the day,” Taking the cigarette out of his mouth and releasing smoke. “What the hell is really going on?” He looked up towards the sky. “Father times are getting scarier from when you were around.. You were right, random is terrifying.” He flash stepped away from the scene heading towards the river at the bottom of the waterfall. There he made himself a makeshift fishing rod from the natural material around him; there he started his fishing while smoking. “I better catch a lot, those three are working hard after all, or I hope so.” He would spend the rest of the day here while the others trained.

Kazume Takeshi
fcf256725088972333c114a0e3cca049.jpg
This whole mana controlling thing was important, but Kazume just couldn’t understand why he couldn’t tame it. I need to relax, what the hell am I doing? Kazume floated at the bottom of the pond seeing the reflection of the sky. Motioning his body into a backflip he swam up to the top of the water.

Kazume swam to land trying to dry himself off from being soaking wet. Shaking his head, getting the water out of his hair and squeezing his shirt to get the mass of water out. Kazume decided to take his shirt off casually tossing it to the side. His body was muscular, but not as toned as a grown man. He was still young. The others would notice that when water touches Kazume’s hair it slightly spikes up instead of flattening, strange boy. His necklace dangling from his neck, it shined bright from the reflection of the sun.

Kazume turned his attention towards his sensei. ‘Man why does he even care? Just don’t look!’ He titled his head and smirked. “Huh? Jiraya always told me that, the more clothes taken off during training the easier it gets! He says your body feels limited with clothes.”

Placing his shirt and hoodie nicely on the green grass to air dry. He wiped his forehead with his arm. Looking back over to Kizen Sensei, Kazume’s eyes darted at the man, “Wait, what do you mean by that? It won’t hurt right?” Kazume crossed his arms, pouting his face, until he decided to glance at Yumiya. You know, coming to take a second glance at her she was pretty cute. Kazume blushed and shifted his eyes off into the cosmos. “So, what’s this whole mana reset thing?”

He waved at Kizen Sensei watching him leave from the area. “Alright don’t worry I’ll take care of the fort, Kizen Sensei!” Kazume turned his attention back to Yumiya giving her a calm look. “Go easy on me alright? I don’t wanna be out of it alright?” He smirked, “I’m just kidding, give me your best shot!” He flexed his muscles and abs preparing for whatever to come his way, he kept an eye closed.

Mira Atobi
Mira watched as her students enjoyed themselves with the peaceful spirits. This lesson although small at glance, but very pivotal. Not every spirit was like this, and they definitely care not towards humanity. Mira felt differently than others, she wasn’t fixated on killing spirits and rather will teach her students the sealing arts, and only to kill them if it is completely necessary. She felt this way because of her two companions. They showed her a brighter light to Spirits then others could not.

Placing a hand on Getsumei’s head giving it a gentle pat. She had the right idea, even though they looked harmless Spirits are still spirits. They choose at a whim to destroy humans, which was stopping the smaller ones from doing the same. Mira knew these answers. She felt an aura closing by, it was not a spirit, yet a weak source of mana. She closed her eyes using Mana sensing to detect three spirit slayers approaching, now that she was mentally locked onto her target; Mira shifted and used Aura Sensing feeling the intentions and purity of their hearts, this was a symbol they were allies. Though she couldn’t be sure, as enemies cloaked themselves as an ally only to crumble the leaf. Mira’s eyes now darting towards the direction of the three who approached. There was a magic power coming from one of the three that was abnormally larger than the average person.

Watching the small owl hover over the area and leave the scene she continued to watch, making sure she monitored everything that was going on, hardly ever moving a muscle to not startle her students. Watching closely as three Spirit Slayers emerged, the blonde haired spirit slayer Jane, and her long time partner Sprint Togger. They were a few years younger than Mia and were of Archmage ranks. This meant the boy with the blindfold on was speaking about Onen. She knew that Lord third had instructed her to keep a close eye on him and she knew why. From the look and attire he sported was cultural to the Country of Water. His ears were pointy which gave off the hint of him being an elf. Mira stopped analyzing, giving her stern look away, breaking out into a smile.

“Well then, aren’t you a quick one huh? You ran all the way here and almost died before you ever got to go on your first mission. Haha ~ welcome to Team Nine. I’m sure Lord Third informed you slightly on what we’re doing?” She cuffed her chin with one hand, moving the other off of Getsumei’s head. “We’re headed out to a nearby village to help with a spirit attack. Nothing crazy, just some clearing out to do. Assuming you came all of this way I’m sure you’re ready to be removed of your shackles?” Mira winked at Gyasi, “I’ll take care of things from here, thank you two for bringing him all the way out here.”

“Of course.”
“Of course m’lady.”

The two took off into the trees, returning back to the village to await Gyasi's return. With both hands on her hips Mira watched the two scatter off. “Well then,” She turned her attention back to Gyasi, “So what’s a stranger from the south side doing out here huh?” She rubbed the top of his head, “I’m only kidding. Gyasi Omari huh? Well I’m Mira Atobi! These two are Getsumei Watabe, and Isshin Yotsuba.” Gekko and Dekko sissed at Gyasi. “Woah you two relax, he means no harm,” Their eyes glowing bright ruby red. ‘They really are disturbed by the three tails, I’ll have to seal them away for now,’ She gave the two a side eye.

Mira raised her right hand up to her chest. Motioning her index and middle finger up extended, the other fingers are curled into the palm. “Release!” The two snakes phased into her body completely merging themselves into her, turning into tattoos on her body. “Don’t worry about them, they get a little antsy.” She scratched the back of her head laughing awkwardly. ‘So I’ve finally started my team. Mom, dad watch over me and my students please. I promise to guide these three, to the future!’ She smiled looking off towards the sun. “Well then everyone let’s get going then! We got some ground to cover. Like I told the other two Gyasi, you’re a part of a family now, you make sure you protect your family, got it?” She smiled looking over her shoulder.

“You can show us what you got when we get to a suitable spot,” She gripped onto the straps of her backpack. Mira led the group onward deeper into the forest, they followed a pathway being surrounded with beautiful spirits and animals. They walked for a few more miles until reaching a cliff side. She reached her arm out to stop Gyasi from walking off. “We’ve made it, we’ll stay here for now. Make sure you watch your step. Meet me on the other side!” She said jumping over the cliffside onto the other side of the massive lake. She placed her bag against a tree, pulling out a scroll and placing it on the floor unraveling it.
22e2eb76f544410bba4e3e616901ce30.jpg

Mira raised her right hand up to her chest. Motioning her index and middle finger up extended, the other fingers are curled into the palm. “Release!” The smoke emerged from the scroll summoning two tents. Mira ran up a tree scattering off into the forest going to collect supplies for the night. “GET YOURSELF COMFORTABLE TRAINING IS ABOUT TO BEGIN YOU THREE!!” She shouted out to her youngling while she jumped through the branches of the very tall trees.

All Might
7bd32c3dd1c9a655945f56fb5d128424--character-reference-character-concept.jpg
A boy with black hair came bolting from the forest nearly out of breath though enough energy to still shout his introduction. The six foot three man laughed hard with his fist placed on his hips. Abs shining from the sweat dripping down his body, the group would feel a bit of heaviness in the wind around them. Not knowing where it came from the best assumption was from All Might. He smiled bright at each of his young students.

“Is that so huh? Stevey boy we’ll call ya! My mighty voice touched your YOUTHFUL ears huh? You’re a flower ready to blossom! We will start with your training right away!!!!” Sparkles in his eyes towards Steve, he looked over to Gin and shook his hand. “Yes you looked filled with the will of fire as well! Nice to meet you Gin!” Taking a step back he looked over to the young, well he assumed woman due to the helmet covering their face. They raised their hand ready to speak. “Ah yes pes- Iruvue nice to meet you! Yes you have a lovely stinger, does it do anything cool?!” He coughed for a moment. “Now that all of you have gathered, we should announce one thing. You’ve all graduated from the academy putting your time and effort to push through the intensity of school work! Dreading! Though your path does not get easier nor does it end here! Everyday you will push your body to its utmost limits!!! And when your body is broken down we will train to build it back up!! You are assigned to a four man team meaning we will go on harder and longer missions than others around your age! My job is to make sure you knuckleheads-“ He was cut off when Iruvue decided to speak up again. His face had a goofy expression while he laughed out loud. “Ah yes the ferocious tree! It decided today it will show me the result of its YOUTH! We spared and I ended up going too far you see! Nothing the less though! We shall start with the mission, I hope you brought your stuff!”

He shuffled around in his back pocket pulling out a cotton ball, leftover protein bar he made, spare change, and finally a crumpled up paper. “Ah here we go!” Unraveling the paper he decided to read the contents on the letter. “Well then you four and myself, will be venturing towards the west to Yunyou village. There we will help with their overgrowing Spirit problem, then from there we have to deliver supplies over the mountain side to a nearby town that just formed. After all that , we return home. The journey will be long and we might not come back for a while, but when we do you all will be so strong that the others won’t even recognize you! So what do you say?! Team 10 on their first mission huh?!” His statement was a long shot, but he was serious on them returning home, even if it meant he would have to sacrifice himself!

Promise Nothing Deliver Less
Iruvue blinked. Her sensei had not only called her a pest and she had very specifically asked not to be called one. He had brazenly propositioned her right in front of all his other students-- but Iru already knew from Momma that city-scum would be like that. But that last point struck her like a lightning bolt.

So this one was trying to fight a tree? And they were fighting because the tree wanted to? That was impossible-- truly impossible. Confusion buzzed madly in her head, the facts of the matter colliding with eachother like furious bees. The other details of their mission were forced out to make room for the tremendous leaps in logic she'd have to commit to rationalize what All Might had just said. Her mind reached out in hopes of finding something, anything that could fit this man's worldview into hers. What kind of person would... ah-ha!

"Oh! I gotcha! You're like Sister Bagworm, and you got little voices in your head!" Iruvue beamed, as innocently and bluntly as falling scaffolding. "Well don't you worry, Sensee! My momma got a really good way to fix that, and I remember how she does it!" Iruvue thumped her chest proudly, excited to put her education to the test. This would be a long, painful experience for her teacher, but she was confident she could fix what was wrong with him with enough love and care.

She turned to one of her comrades, a man in all-white with big black hair, and stared at him as seriously as one can through the visor of a potmetal helmet. "You!" she barked, "I'm gonna need you to help me! You prepared to go beyond and above the call to help your Sensee out?! We gotta do the mission-- uh, whatever it is-- and save Sensee from hisself!" Iruvue's hand shot out, offering a firm comradely handshake-- a request for help, an attempt to connect, but most importantly a test of her teammate's mettle.

Machine Head
Stephen Diggs performed a comical step-back twisted face expression of extreme, sudden shock, common to overexcitable teenagers that had no intention of growing into mature, taciturn men. "WHOA!" he exclaimed.

There was a brief interlude of silence before Steve's voice barreled through it like a freight train in an electronics boutique.

"Mister Mighty Man's got voices in his head? Well how-dee I got a few o' those as well!" he eloquently explained at damn near maximum volume. "Normally they're sayin' stuff like 'don't eat that' or 'don't stick a rope on a hammer' and mama once said it was my con-cheese-yents but ain't no voice tellin' me not to do the fun stuff gonna have any say in my day t' day y'know what I'm sayin'?"

The entire high-speed ramble had taken only seconds to metaphorically vomit up. Allergic to, or perhaps mortally terrified of silence, Steve spoke again. "But yeah naw like if his voices are saying," and his voice became excessively gruff and deep here, "'Go punch trees'," back to normal, "ain't right to say 'HEY, DON'T PUNCH TREES', aight? 'S all about doin' the fun stuff and beatin' the everlovin' snot out of a piece o' wood. Like the fella who looks after Tranquil Garden ain't so happy with me right now 'cause I was throwin' a hammer into trees this mornin', so, like, it's aight Mister Mighty Man I totally get it!"

Yumiya Hyuga

Yumiya nodded her head as her sensei told her to show Kazume the pride of the Hyuga clan. "I know my limits, once I show him I'll deactivate it for a little bit." She replied as Kizen disappeared into the forest leaving the group alone. Now, should I aim for the torso or not? She thought to herself closing her eyes for a moment. Debating on the ways she could do this but she came to the conclusion that it would be best to strike him in the stomach.

Her thinking was interrupted as Kazume now spoke to her, she brought a hand up to her chin as she spoke. "Well to your first question you will have to wait and find out. That would ruin the surprise and point of all of this," she explained as she looked over at him. Though she didn't understand the need for him to take off his shirt she figured there were other things to be concerned about. "Well it's not really a mana reset either, to be more precise it's a fighting style that is incredibly precise. So precise you need the Yakugan to be able to make much use of it." She concluded as she took a few steps forward so that she was now within arms reach.

Taking a fighting stance she had her palms open as if she was going to make a flight strike with the palm of her hand. "Now I will show you the most basic move that I learned when I was young. Mana strike." She stated as her right hand struck a point in his stomach and then her other hand hit another in his stomach as well. Closing off the mana point for a period of time as she forced mana into the point to block it off from the others.
Deactivating her Yakugan, she dusted her hands off before speaking, "That is the pride of the Hyuga clan, we call it gentle fist style. We release pinpoint strikes of mana through our hands. Though you can die if you get struck in the chest too many times with it." She explained as she made sure not to strike any points in his chest.

Faye Inzuka~

“okay!” She yelled happily as she hopped down from the tree again. After hearing sensei’s instructions for the other two, she walked over to look at other parts of the forest, making sure not to wonder off to far. The flowers glistened in the sunlight, causing little sparkles to appear on the petals. The trees where tall and lanky. The grass, green and covered with dew. She found herself in front of a small flower. The petals of which where bright yellow and orange.

She brought her hands down to slightly lift the bottom of her dress as she knelt down to examine the flower closer. the smell consumed her smell. It smelt similar to a honeysuckle, but more like a lily. Lily, hmm. A beautiful name. She’d name her child that.

She reaches out to pluck the flower from its comforting place between two large green leafs. She smiles and places it behind her ear, the smell still very present. She stands up, dropping her dress back down to her feet. Faye still heard the sounds of the two talking to she walks a bit further. Seeing so many flowers she wanted to pick she started to become overwhelmed, her heart beating fast in her ears.

With a sigh, she turns around and heads towards a tree that had a large root coming from out of the ground, it had a large loop in the middle. Big enough for Faye to fit in. She walks over and sits inside, looking out into the field of flowers she had come from. Ever so often listening for the two. She smiled and took a deep breath, sinking into the tree more.

Gin just stood there, unmoving, letting his would-be teacher speak a whole lot of words while unblinkingly looking him dead in the eye. As soon as the speech was over he was back to gazing up and down, left and right, here and there, mane whipping to and fro in the wind with every turn of his neck. Whether he had heard anything at all was questionable. Then his teammates exploded into their own diatribes, the man Steve saying his piece before Santo could even answer when spoken to. So it happened. A hearty, but soft, sensibly contained chuckle. No belly laughs here, that would just be unseemly.

Matched with a gang of brutes and weirdos of stunted development, how exciting! He looked at Iruvue as if seeing her for the first time when she held out her hand, and he made a point to take the slightest step back to keep the distance between them. Still he gently took her fingers into his own, ignoring the stated potential threat of stingers, and bent slightly as to make eye to eye (?) contact. "It is a pleasure, but please, no touching". He let go of the girl's (?) hand. "Still you are right, success should be our priority. I think that man will be fine, he is simply training wrong and trying to show off. Sadly common."

Gin spoke with the flat, unerring confidence of one simply reciting facts, and he would need way more than what he had seen if he was to call someone a term as important as sensei. He hadn't learned a single thing yet! He pulled his hands back to his waist, and his gaze went back and forth between Steve and All Might. "If you are in need of assistance, perhaps you ought to stay behind? Health is important after all."

Kazume Takeshi
“That’s not fair.” He responded stretching his body out preparing for whatever Yumiya had instored for him. “Your Yakugon is pretty handy, it comes with so many cool features, makes me wish I was a Hyuga.” He rested his arms behind his head and smiled. Then he realized what she said“Wait wait wait what?!” Before he could even get a question to spit out Yumiya shifted into her stance hitting him directly in the gut, it felt like a sword pierced right through him. Suddenly he felt weak in his stomach. Kazume gripped onto it tightly. Nothing felt different but the pain from the attack. Kazume coughed up a bit attempting to catch his breath.

“Some pride you Hyuga’s have.” He struggled to say. Kazume got up to his feet dusting himself off. “Well that sure as hell hurts, I don’t notice anything different let me try standing on the water.”

Kazume ventured back over to the pond taking a deep breath to control his breathing. Closing his eyes he slowly took a few steps onto the water’s surface. He smiled although his walk was very shaky. At least it was an improvement. Now attempting to stand still on the calm water he focused on emptying out his mind and focusing on his mana flowing to his feet. This time was able to stand over the water a lot longer; until the water started to rile up and he fell in. Swimming back up to the top he wiped his face with his hand looking over to Faye. She seems to be at peace, something about her and nature fit perfectly. Kazume couldn’t figure out why yet. Swimming back over to Yumiya.

“It sure did sort of help, but I’m sure it’s going to take some practice to get it right. So what do you think about the team so far? I think Kizen sensei is pretty cool, he doesn’t talk to us much, but I’m sure he’ll come around.”

Kazume looked up at the tall tree. “We should spar, ya’know, to help each other with training,” He blushed, “I mean if you don’t want to It’s all good.” He said awkwardly.

Faye relaxing while resting in a tree. A gust of wind would hit the area of the three teens vacant. A voice could be heard following the trail of wind only could be heard by Faye.

“Fa-“ Is all she could depict from the voice that quickly passed by. It felt as if the forest was calling for Faye, but she knew that she mustn't leave the area without sensei’s approval. So the thought should be dismissed for now. Strange event.

All Might

All might’s had a stupid look on his face while he tried to figure out who the hell is sister bagworm. What he came to the conclusion was that this was simple buganese and he could not translate. Then she mentioned he had voices in his head and then Steve joined in on basically calling All Might insane.

“Now what are two exactly going on about? I don’t have voices in my head, you fools!” He laughed out loud, Gin mentioned him having voices which made him laugh even harder. Iruvue wanted to fix All Might’s allegade mental illness. “Yeah sure, let's see what you got sport! Free me of these foul vermin voices that clogged my judgement in harming a tree! It’s almost unbearable really, you guys can’t hear em?” He joked. Giving a thumbs up to steve and a wink with a smile showing off his pearly white teeth; attempting to look cool. “THAT'S THE SPIRIT STEVE, I CAN SEE THAT YOUR YOUTH IS JUST IN ITS SPRING! I like you already kid!” He nodded.

“Oh Gin you're an interesting fellow aren’t you?” He smiled, “I see potential in you, but something very crucial is stopping you from tapping it. Yes, I’m sure of it.” All might said looking off into the sky. “You know, I’m going to be honest with you all, this world is not forgiving. You will see things you wished was a nightmare, but beyond the darkness remember one thing! There is always a light to guide you forward!!! So about my mental health, I’m fine thank you for the concern. So I’m guessing you guys want to get some training in before we set out on our trip huh?” He jumped back from the group to gain some distance and got into a martial arts fighting stance. “Let me see what each of you got so I can best assess your capabilities, and place each of you under unique training regiments! I won’t go easy on any of you.”

Shiruba Bangu

Bang_Anime[1].png

The travel was quiet. Normal. No ambushes, no explosions in the distance. The sky is clear and the land is peaceful. It truly is a far cry from the times back then when everywhere you look was engulfed in total chaos. But this is nice. Yes, nice is the right word. To Shiruba, it hammers the point that every little ounce of misfortune and heartache was worth the result, even if it does leave a bitter taste in his mouth from time to time.

To see this peace, it was good in his eyes. But he could feel this longing within his heart. A deep, near-silent growl of annoyance at the sight of it all. He was and will always will be a warrior before a teacher; and before that an old man who's tired of it all. As much as he appreciates the peace, deep down he longed for battle; knowing that when it was all over and when he would finally bite the dust not in his deathbed but on the field, he would be greeted by everyone he ever knew and love with a rousing warcry. Gods above and below, he misses everyone. His family, his past students, by the hells even the bastards he killed too. He missed them all.

While he continues to ruminate on the paradox of life, he got to know a bit about his travel companion. New generation Slayers are always a welcome sight but sometimes they can be a bit gung-ho about doing the job. Little to no patience. But, who was he to judge? People would call him a hypocrite if he started now. So he engaged in small talk and light ribbing to pass the time.

Before long, a surprising thing occurred. One of Saru's little shadows came by and relieved his current partner before introducing themselves. "Shina, huh? Well, if Saru wants to send one of his little shadows to assist me, then who am I to refuse. Welcome aboard then! Come on, we've got day light to burn and a wide stretch of road to cover." He gestures with a quick flick of his hand before bursting away in the same pace he and his previous companion were in; expecting the new arrival to keep up with no trouble at all. As they both raced across the distance, he took the time to observe the girl.

Armed and armored. Face hidden behind a mask. Looks young for her age. Talented and skilled most likely. From the patches of skin he could spot, pale but not deathly so thus he could gander a guess that she hails from some of the more established families back home. Oh she'll be a treat. "So, if you wouldn't mind this old man from asking, why has the old coot got the need to send one of you on a milk run with me? And to think I was warming up to the little miss I was with before, spirited girl she was despite all the ice from what I could see. She forgot to pay the bills and pick up the groceries before heading out?" He asked lightly, but he gave the girl a quick side-eye expecting her to pick up the little back and forth and reply accordingly. After all, no one wants other people to know what the hells you are talking about especially out here.

"Anyway, we're going to a quaint little town, Con'mora. Lovely place this time of year. I heard they got a bunch of fish, I heard from ol' Hama that they're selling 10 snappers, in the 'mora market today---we've better be first to snap up as much as we can since the town doesn't normally get fish so they're all a little pricey; don't worry now, since we're local we'll get a good discount for the sale. Though we'd have to be careful since the fish might have spoiled so we're also gonna have to help dispose of 'em when we buy 'em." He continues on.

"Thinking about it, it's not so lovely now---the town I mean, since there's a bunch o' demons walking about. Nasty stuff that needs taking care of. Besides that, the town's got a rat infestation and we're gonna have to deal with 'em for the good people. No one wants rats near their homes after all. So we're gonna have to look for the nest, exterminate most and cage a few." He snorts, "A simple little job, if I can say so myself! So, any thing you might want to add or ask, little missy?"

Isshin Yotsuba

Screenshot_2018-01-25-21-59-30-1[1].png

Team 9 is certainly a different experience for Isshin. Far, far different from the Academy and the environment of his family's own teachings. The devil-may-care attitude of his sensei was strange and yet he could not help but appreciate that despite her apparent bubbly attitude, she really wanted to make the team work and even teach them a thing or two; especially when she introduced her own personal spirits to the team. His teammate, well current teammate due to the other not yet arriving apparently, was odd. Just as odd as he. Yet he could see that they could work well together, all he had to do was put in the effort as he would always do in everything he does.

He dutifully followed his team out of the village. The trees passing them by in a blur. Here they were, out in the big wide world. Their first true step as Slayers. It didn't take long before sensei told them that their first lessons would begin. She asked them to feel their surroundings. To empty the mind and let the world flow through them. And so he did with little difficulty. His senses expanded and the world grew tranquil in his opinion. It feels like he could hear even the tiniest drop of water in the distance and see the smallest ant. To Isshin, it felt like the world was both everything and nothing at the same time.

As he opened his senses to the world, he noticed that something was amiss. There! He spots tiny little spirits, Omi as sensei called them, surrounding them. Cute little things, he would bet all that he owned little Kaguya would adore them to death. Like the colors of a rainbow they arrayed themselves before the team. Their eyes alight with curiosity before some of them turned away and left to do whatever it is they do with their time, but some stayed and watched them in the same cute curious stares. So peaceful.

The peaceful atmosphere broke when people came by upon them. Members of the village from the looks of it and apparently the new member of Team 9 too. Gyasi Omari? Isshin nodded and raised a hand in greeting as he took in the image of his new teammate, "Hello, as sensei said, I'm Isshin Yotsuba. Let's do our best together."

It is interesting to see someone who has covered their eyes move in such precise way, an ability or technique perhaps? One of these days, he should have a talk with the guy and trade notes, something like that would work wonders for his flying.

Before he could delve deep down the rabbit hole of learning, Mira-sensei called for the team to a clearing with a lake and tiny falls. Ah, it would be a sweet place to fly around in when he gets the chance. But for now, training. He turns to his sensei who vanishes amongst the treetops. He was ready, he is ready. They were all ready for this. After all, they've gone this far, no way would they fail on the first day of the job.

Shina Hiyuga
Seeing the woman off Shiruba led the way towards Con’nomra Town, the scenery always was enjoyable to take in; even with a mask on. Her silk violet hair flowed in the wind as she ran with her arms flailing behind her. Her Nichi Weapon was a katana with a purple flower garment hilt. When they were deep enough into the forest the two would take to the trees. Leaping from branch to branch the scenery now was a simple blur due to the speed they were going. She gave Shiruba a side eye hiding her face under the mask Shina remained silent. The sound of their feet pressing against the wood was the only sound that could be heard, plus the wind rustling the tree’s. Giving him a quick glance, everything that was spoken about him was true; although age takes its affects he still holds a strong stratus.

After some time of leaping Shiruba caught Shina’s attention which made her look towards him while traversing through the branches. She shook her head in response to not minding at all, turning her attention back forwards. “I apologize I don’t meet your standards, I only was given orders to take the mission instead of her..” She said looking off into the distance trying to find a way out of talking with the older man. Then he caught her attention again with his smooth wording. “Yes, her “dog” (Huzen) came out of its pound as well. Too many leaves been plucked from their branches, said the perhaps is playing fetch right now.” She said jumping from a branch skipping over one to land on another and repeat.

“You shop regularly at Hama’s Shop?” She said gently as they traversed the trees. Shina nodded at the comment about no one wanting rats near their homes. Which was true, but her main concern is what exactly hapoened to their fallen comrades. Looking back over she opened her mouth, “It’s almost like the peace these lands dreamnt of is slowly coming to an end. If it’s true demons are truly infesting the town, then I fear another Great War coming. Not only that the country of Rock won’t stop their pursuit…” A omi that reassembled a Raven flew down by Shina, “See if you can find us a place to vacant at,” the omi nodded flying off.

“Kraw!”

“They’ll find us a remote spot for us to rest. I’ll commence scouting phase please protect me.” She said closing her eyes activacting Aura Sense. Nothing in a nearby radius from the two were any hostile considering they had just left the village’s barrier. She looked back over to Shriuba now with her eyes opened, tilting her head to the side. “This isn’t my place to ask, but what is it that Lord Third trusts you so much. I mean I know the legends are true considering your still kicking.” The end of her sentence her voice got softer. The two were quickly approaching an open area in forest, “Yakugan!” Veins around her eyes popped up as she had clear 360 vision around her, stretching a 80 mile radius.

“We have a group of five aggressive Spirits, one on the verge of becoming a demon it looks like. Im not quite sure, but it’s massive compared to the others! Keep your eyes sharp. They’re 12 o’clock, and another group spotted 6 o’clock. We’re approaching the 12 o’clock group now, the others will reach us if we don’t end this quickly.” She stressed to Shiruba. Finally there was a massive gap in the tree’s. At the bottom four bears that were about 7 feet tall, in a circular shape to protect a 15 foot sized bear with horns sticking out of it’s head. The massive bear pierced it’s teeth in the neck of it’s victim, tearing the limbs apart, the smaller ones watched waiting for their turn.

The two’s arrival caught the bear’s attention, perching their heads up towards the two it wasn’t long until the massive bear roared loudly. Shina covered her face with her arms from the sheer force coming from the roar. “How could these type of spirits have gotten so close? What should we do Lord Shiruba?”

Pulling her Nichi weapon out, Shina deflected a stray beam that was shot by one of the fodder bears; aimed towards Shriuba of course. Her Yakugan was still activated.

The massive bear rose on its two back paws, raising its head toward the two spirit slayers. Picking up on the scent of both, a massive roar belged from the bottom of his belly, creating strong gust of winds; so strong some sharp blades of wind cutting the branch they stood on, causing a separation between the Shiruba Bangu and Shina Hyuga. The bear let out a less powerful but loud roar, sending the smaller ones to hunt down each of them. It sat down on its behind continuing to mawl out the lifeless corpse of another large spirit.

e551ca2d27a5df5ffa59c6333021f3df.jpg

Landing smoothly out of the way of the last attack, Shiruba will be soonly greeted with two, seven foot tall bear spirits. At a closer look each of the bears had unique black and blue markings that stretched through their entire body, one glowing eye, and blood stained paws. They definitely were on their way to becoming demons, this was a situation that could put them at a slight halt; considering they still had the bigger one to deal with. Both reeking of death and the urge for bloodshed, they were no longer controllable.

Slowly circling Shiruba each of them growling and snorting at the old man, nearly drooling rapidly over the thought of feasting on him. Bear 1 ran up at top speed.

Bear 1; The bear sported a darker brown fur, which made it harder to depict the markings on its body. One front claw that was bigger than the other. He had small horns in his head and blacked out lips. His tongue dangling from the mouth. Opening it’s mouth the bear decided to lunge straight towards Shiruba, the larger claw glowed a bright red. The bear attempted to swing rapidly in a frenzy at Shiruba trying to cut him. Instead it continued to miss cutting multiple trees down and slashes in the ground. Now getting angrier, slamming the ground with both claws creating a quake in the ground beneath them.

Bear 2; The bear that was in the image is exactly what she looks like. Her right eye glowed white and gave off a small fog effect. The roars from her were just as mighty as the male bear spirit. Lunging after Bear 1 attempting to help the fray of attempting to kill Shiruba, nearly almost getting a hit off on him, but he was just too much for the both of them.
