Welcome to your apocalypse, we have everything from robots, neon lights, monsters, super enhanced psychos...
As well as technology from back in the day and shit from beyond the stars. How about a history lesson? It was in 2029 that the third world war started and ended due to alien invasion.
The Humans of the past thought them similar to Gods due to their advanced intelligence and science fiction technology. People nowadays (if your keeping count) in the year 3369 know these alien fucks as the Greys. These bastards are the main reason you find mutants and unfeasible powers scattered across the badlands. (Anywhere without a walled city and some sort of government/society/law enforcement is considered badland.)
But speaking of walls, society and enforcement...
"Oh Thats Base-Town!" Something you might hear often if you live inside. Base-Town is known for being one of the largest cities alive during the apocalypse so it has many characters of all sort, Base town is famous for many reasons but the biggest reason people speak of this walled location isn't because of the salvaged alien tech and cheap booze. It's the Riders, the men women and children who rock that alien tech and slam down the cheap booze as if it were acid rain. The uh, good kind not the burning sort.
The Riders operate within Base-Town as law enforcement (some as bounty hunters outside the city.) With a fighting force over two hundred the Riders are respected and feared throughout the wastelands...
But outside the city is were badasses of a different kind grow....
Specifically speaking of the Hunters and the Bunker Busters.
You see living in the badlands is possible, but it's filled with danger and a side of poisoned water.
Psychos, mutants, the very environment is fucked. But hidden out there in those badlands is the best shit!
Underground Bunkers or vaults filled with goodies both man made and alien.
The people who make a living scouting out and looting these bunkers called themselves Busters,
This is because some people who search anywhere and everywhere for certain indviduals with a price on their head are called bounty hunters.
(Claiming your one or the other can mean life or death depending on where you are/whose about)
Anyway, unbeknownst to most people... Base-Town is in the middle of war. The mayor of seven years Marty Durggle tries desperately to keep the people's best interests at heart and the food and money in his pockets.
Fighting him with words for the people's affection and trust is the Riders current chief Andwell Maxi, but Maxi wages a hidden battle agaisnt the mayor, using riders loyal to him to enact his bidding.
Both men are corrupt assholes starving for more power depending on who you ask.
No one is perfect, but if your looking for a underdog then don't be alarmed...
Finnibus Speedam is a half grey scientist twenty years ago this man was praised and adored for creating and adapting tech for Base-Town and its Riders.
More recently he is infamous for murdering the mayor at the time with a "expansion ray" because
"he knows why!!"
The doctor was exiled from Base-Town, taking half of the city's robots Finnibus and his small army sang of revenge that would come.
It was seven years later when the mad doctors plans would officially begin...
You as a traveler, Buster, raider, hunter, rider, addict or whatever.
You were in the bad lands when a squad of flying robots ambushed and kidnapped you.
You awaken in a cage, your feet have been replaced with what looks to be robot shoes and you can't help but feel this isnt the only thing about you that's been changed what with the strange man looking over you and others...
Dr Speedam gives all of his captives a choice, you get to pick what gets put into you!
The doctor gives no clues as to what is happening apart from the seven syringes each with a different colour of glowing liquid.
Blue, green, red, yellow, purple, neon pink and one that looks like a abstract painting of swirling colours...
Put simple and short...
Your character is being experimented on against their will.
(Unless waking up to a stranger with syringes seems like something your character can get behind)
Depending on what colour your character picks shall determine what alien/mutant power/ability you unlock.
You and others shall become the newest weapons of Speedam, for better or for worse you will help Finnibus take control of the city and beyond!
Or at least play along until you can free yourself from the mad doc.

Think fallout mixed with borderlands.
Post requirements are two paragraphs or more twice a week.
Each player will create a rider with a different ability/power.
Six spots available.
If you want to secure a spot post what colour you want to pick and work mudshow or the community into a sentence.
The team will work on missions for or against Speedam as they try to free themselves and shape the leadership and city of Base-Town/the bad lands to fit your own goals
Still undecided on numbers and stats playing a role or if it will rely on players to determine what's fair.
Most likely will use what I call "soft stats" as I'd rip off the special system from fallout and let people create perks/skill tree similar to borderlands.
Cyberpunk can give some inspiration for weapons and tech but no t-posing, gun handed, merging into cars walls and floors characters allowed.
