  agnitio centre is the brainchild of Gao Min, commonly referred to as Valerie. It is a software development company positioned to rival the current titans that have enjoyed their monopoly over the types of client software and productivity suite applications that most students and working professionals are tied to. agnitio centre has developed and continues to develop software oriented towards small-to-medium sized businesses, as well as online communities, with the goal being to provide more user-friendly, but less intensive word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation programs for a significantly decreased price.
  
  Their flagship application is their messaging platform called mercury's wings, which provides users with the ability to communicate via video and voice call as well as instant messaging. Users have the ability to create chat rooms that can be organized via categories, channels, and threads, as well as have private direct messages with others. In addition, users have the ability to send media of all types to one another, as well as files that they can then collaborate in real-time with one another, until the file sender is satisfied and can "lock" down the results.
  
  They have recently released their first wave of productivity applications: paraca's book, a word processing system; helius' screen, a presentation program; and minerva's sheet, a spreadsheet program. All applications come out-of-the-box with a wide array of customization abilities for the end-user, and companies or organization with a bit more money to spend are able to request further personalization. She believes that there is a market for one that permits people the ability to express their creativity beyond the standard customization offered by services currently existing without needing UI knowledge themselves. She decides to posit this idea to various investors at conferences she attends.
  
  

  year 1-3.

  agnitio centre is founded and slowly grows its employee and investor base, narrowing down their target market to small-to-medium sized businesses. They begin work on a messaging system that permits a level of out-of-the-box customization that other applications currently do not offer. They find that many online communities might find use for a system such as theirs, as the customization options offer greater moderation ability than systems currently on the market.

  mercury's wings goes to market and does extraordinarily well, meeting and at time surpassing expected sales. With the investors satisfied with the success and the company confident in their success, they begin work on their productivity suite. The media takes a great interest in agnitio centre, and especially the fact that it appears to be the creation of a singular founder. Min initially finds the attention invigorating and a nice change of pace, but ends up tabloid fodder due to her position as a high-powered career woman. Her taste for interviews and media scrutiny soon sours, and she finds herself facing quite a bit of backlash due to her increased unwillingness to discuss her personal life.

  Development on the productivity suite, codenamed "library of alexandria," nearly reaches its conclusion. Min finds herself with resounding career success and respect, and is overjoyed, though she expresses her continued frustration with the fact that many can't seem to stop talking about her lack of a personal life, something that she herself has little interest in.
