Kat left anubis in the bed before she went to the living room. She took his hand “come on sleeping in this couch sucks.” She said as she let out a soft yawn. She tugged him along before she crawled on her side of the bed. Anubis was snoring in the middle of the bed on his back. “Silly dog move over.”

He heaved a sigh, “alright then,” he whispered to her before he followed with Kat. He chuckled as he picked up Anubis and moved him over as he laid down on the other side. He looked to the ceiling as he thought to himself.

Kat was out like a light the moment she settled into the bed. The next morning she rolled over to have a dog foot appear in her face. She blinked a few moment as her bed was fuller than normal. She yawned as she got out of the bed as she slid her feet along to get dressed. An half hour later she came out in a tight black dress with heels. Her red hair was straighten and she had makeup on. She moved to pet Anubis on the head “morning bud.”

He fell asleep maybe about 30 minutes after Kat had fallen asleep. When he woke up, it was when she was in the middle of getting ready. He stayed on his side although, letting himself slowly wake up as he felt that it was to early for him.

One he had heard Kat come out and walk over, he had shifted to lay on his other side and looked to her. “You look adorable,” he had muttered to her as he sat up.

Kat rolled her eyes at him as she sat on the bed beside him. “You mean I look like a high ended escort.” She laughed as she brushed his hair from his eyes. She didn’t like dressing for the occasions like this.

“You sleep well?” She said as she knew it was probably awkward for him to sleep with her and Anubis.

“It’s a cute look though,” he had admitted. “Even if it isn’t comfortable,” he had nodded to her with a slight smile. He knew he’d be dressed up too, soon enough, so he didn’t feel as bad.

“Actually I did,” he had grinned to her before he pat Anubis’s head.

She moved to kiss him softly on the lips. “If you get ready we have time to go get food and walk anubis.” She said as she ran her fingers through his hair. She smiled down at him as she moved to help Anubis off the bed. “Come on boy daddy is still half asleep.” She chuckled as she pet Anubis.

He’d kiss her back as he held a small smile on his face. “Hm, yeah, I’ll go ahead and get ready at my place,” he had mumbled not wanting to leave. He’d pat Anubis before he was taken off the bed. Vincent moved and stood up as he stretched; grabbing his phone in the process.

“I’ll be back soon, Alex will come along with me,” he had whispered to her before giving her a tight hug before he left.

Kat smiled as she put his leash on. “While your daddy is getting dressed we will go for our walk.” She said as she walked outside with Anubis. She took 20 minutes to walk him before she got back. She blinked when she saw Alex waiting for her by her door.

Alex moved to greet her once more. “Hey wifey.” He joked as he moved to rub Anubis on the head. “Hey little guy how are you!”

He spent a while to take a shower and get ready. He had worn something formal, more of a regular classy suit. He was going to wear it soon anyways, because of a deal that he made so it didn’t bother him that much. Grabbing his phone, he had left for Kat’s dorm once again, as he knew Alex would already be there by now. He ruffled out his hair with his hand. Greeted by them standing outside he had looked to Alex before nodding to him in a simple manor. He looked to Kat, and smiled to her as he bent down as he pet Anubis.

Kat smiled when he saw he was in a suit. “Looking nice.” She said as she leaned in and kissed him softly on the lips. She could hear alex making gagging noises as he petted Anubis. She rolled her eyes motioning for them to come inside. “He’s pretty easy he doesn’t need to be fed just play with him and take him out. We should be back soon.”

Alex gave her a fake salute as he walked into her apartment. “Will do wifey don’t worry I got this.” He said sounding more confident then he actually was. He figured Anubis would be a typical puppy.

“Thanks,” he had chuckled before kissing her back. He looked to Alex, and shook his head in a sarcastic way and nodded as he walked behind Kat. “And don’t destroy her place,” he had teased to both of them as he turned his phone on silent and shoved it into his pocket.

“Should we get going?” He had asked her.

Kat chuckled as she nodded her head yes. She took his hand with a soft squeeze. “Hurry before he changets his mind.” She teased as she left Alex the key before she turned to leave. “My father should have a car ready to pick us up….just whatever you do don’t take anything to heart. He’s an assohole to everyone.” She said as she saw two men dressed in black by a car. They motioned for her to get into it. She sighed as she slid in to the back seat. God knows she was used to being drvien around since she was younger but the older she got the more she hated the lack of independence.

Once they arrived the men lead them to a table at the back of this beautiful resturant. She couldn’t help but smile when she saw her father because despite all his short comings she still loved him. “Hello papa.” SHe said as she leaned in to kiss his cheek as he hugged her.

The short older man stood up to hold her “Hello Katie its good to see you. As beautiful as ever I see.” He kissed her cheek softly in return it was clear he loved her he was just misguided in how to lead her. He then turned a frown to vincent “And who are you young man? My daughter didn‘t tell me another would be joining us.”

“Oh please, it’ll be a blast.” He had chuckled to her as he followed her lead. He was just glad this wasn’t under any other circumstance. Vincent actually thought that meeting her father would be interesting. And not just that, but he’d have fun arguing with him if he needed too.

Once they arrived and walked in, he examined her father from a distance as he stood next to Kat. He crossed his arms with a small smirk on his face.

“Right, my bad, sir. The name is Vincent Perez.” He began. His facial expression didn’t show much but he at least tried to pretend to have manors with someone that he already disliked. “And it seems as if, we, had a change of plans.” He had nodded to her father.

Kat motioned to him with a small smile on her face. “He’s my soul bond.” She said as she knew her father was aware of the man but she felt better saying it to him. She took a seat across the table from her father as she took his hand. “I found him just a bit ago and its been going better papa.” She didn’t really know what to expect when she saw the unhappy look on his face.

He hummed as he eyed VIncent over he was clearly not impressed with the boy infront of him. “What exactly are your plans in life? What do you plan to do with my daughter? Since she is already engaged.” He pointed out as he clearly wanted to evulate if he was worth his time. Clearly he wasn’t pleased with the fact that he was his daughters soulbond. He didn’t want a bum tied to his smart daughter.

Vincent had sat down next to Kat, as he looked directly to her father with a moment of silence for a second. Although, he had thought about it for a moment. “My plans, good question, but I wouldn’t jinx it for myself,” he said to him before looking over to Kat. “That’s to bad, because I don’t agree with the whole arranged marriage thing. Just not my style.” He had said with a bit of a sarcastic tone, but he got right to the point. He knew that Kat nor himself wanted her to go through that. “Or her’s,” he had muttered.

He shifted himself in his seat. He didn’t care what her father had said. He acted as if he was talking to his own, but being a bit more polite. It was clear that his mood changed depending on what person he was around.

He did not look impressed as he watched the young man infront of him. Out of all the people tied to his daughter it had to be a bum apparently. He leaned back in his seat to stare at him. “You didn’t have a say in the marriage. It is scheduled for the month of July. Invitations will be sent out soon.“ He knew that the prospects that this man had to offer his daughter was slim to none where the man she was arranged to marry would give her the world. “So unless you have something better to offer her other then smart comments and false promises I don’t think you will last.”

Kat sighed as she leaned back in her chair in an uncomfortable manor. She knew that her father didn’t see what she was in Vincent and that was going to be the tough thing. She had to get him to trust her in some Form or another. Even if it meant that she had to defy her family.

Vincent had chuckled. “Well, sir.” He had began as he leaned back into the chair with a frown for a moment until he leaned forward and glared at him. “One, I do have a say now. Two, you can’t do anything to get rid of me, whether you like me or not. I could care less. I could care less, about the benefit that you get out of the marriage. Maybe he will give her the whole world, good for him. But maybe that’s not what she wants, it’s what you want. I don’t believe your doing it for her and you can’t tell me otherwise. And your right, I do have something else to offer to her. But certainly not to you.” He had scoffed with a grin.

He stared at the boy with anger in his eyes as he kept his head held high. He understood clearly that this kid was going to put a wrench in his plans but he didn’t care. He knew his daughter would listen to his needs. “Katie has prior commitments before you came into her life. She didn’t need you then and I’m sure she doesn’t need you now. So tell me why do you care so much? Because your name is written on her wrist? So what that doesn’t mean that you own her now. She had a life before you walked into it one that was set out for her. You will not destroy that.” He snapped as he turned to look at Kat.

Kat watched him with uncertain eyes as he spoke for them. She didn’t know what to tell her father but she knew she didn’t want to let Vincent go. She didn’t want a life he planned and her father knew it. So why would she tell him again when he didn’t listen to the other 50 times.

He had sighed and shook his head. “We only found each other because of our names written on each others wrist.” He looked to Kat with a strict face. “I care, because I simply care about her,” he had said to her father. “Think what you want, or say what you wan’t but that won’t change me,” he had grimaced to her father once more until he looked around to see what was around him.

Kat sighed as she moved to take his hand before she turned to her father. “Papa I know what you wanted for me but for once this is what I want for myself. He is what’s good for me and he does his best to look out for me. I know it’s what you want for me. I don’t need a man to give me the world I just need to someone to love me. Don’t worry he does.” She said in a calming voice as she rubbed his knuckles.

He let out an unhappy huff as he looked at her with a long moment. “If he fucks up and hurts you…he will never appear in your life again.” He said as he waved for the waitress to bring their food. He knew the type of man Vince was. He was going to hurt her and she will learn the hard way guys like him were not going to make her life better.

Kat sighed as she nodded her head. “Alright Papi.” she muttered as she looked over at Vincent. She knew that meant her father did not agree to the arrangement but he just stalled it.

Vincent had listened to her speak to her father. He muttered to himself, and thought. It was clear that her father didn’t approve of him, even after he did say something. What was he going to do though if he did, murder me. Vincent wouldn’t even purposely do anything to her, and he knew that and he hoped she knew that too.

He looked back to Kat, with a slight disappointing shake of his head. Her father did have an attitude which bothered him, but not worse than his own father. He held his hands together underneath the table, to remain himself not to say anything else.

He looked at Kat who's back seemed to straighten under his gaze. "You need to still finish your studies despite whatever promises this creature told you." He said as he eyed vince in an unhappy manor. How on this planet did he get this bum as the other half of his sweet daught he would never know. The universe seemed to have an unhealthy sense of humor. "The board of directors are excited to meet you soon." He spoke as he started to eat his meal.

Kat sighed as she moved to sip her water. "I was planning on finishing father don't worry." She knew how important it was for her to get her business degree despite not being into it. IF she stopped now she knew that her father would blame Vincent and she didnt want that. She wanted him to see her soulmate in a good light.

Vincent had stayed silent as he drank some of his water. He listened to her and her father converse back and forth. He hated the way that her father talked, to her and him. He wanted Kat to be able to do what she wanted to do in life, but he couldn’t do but about it because he definitely didn’t have enough authority to call off her father.

A few minutes later, he had saw someone familiar out of the corner of his eye, as he turned his head. Monty, of course. ‘Somehow’ showed up at the same place; more or like to spy on what was happening. He closed his eyes, before sighing. He leaned over to whisper to Kat, so only she could hear. “Behind us,” he had then straightened himself back up, looking back down to the table.

Kat looked unhappy as she saw the familiar face out of the corner of her eyes. “Why is he here?” She grumbled as it was bad enough she had to deal with her father. She didn’t expect to deal with that creep at the same time. She knew that her father already made this situation bad but that creep sent unhappy chills down her spine. “I’m sorry father but I just wanted you to meet Vincent. We have a dog and I want to move in with him when the semester was over.” She said as handled one issue at a time. She could see her fathers unhappy gaze but when he didn’t say a word she knew that was not a good sign. It meant that he was planning on a way to get rid of him.

“No“ wall all he had to say to her. He could see the look of confusion on her face but he didn’t care because he wanted what was best for her and Vincent was not it. He just had to figure out how to get rid of the bum.
