It's amazing how for someone that apparently wants to champion balance you can't see a balance discrepancy between "lifts good" and "do anything magics" and feel they're automatically equalized because your made up nonsystem said so. No, they're not equal, that's why most actual games that achieve balance limit caster resources, their wide range of utility means that without effective limitations and/or some outstanding scaling from the physicals the caster is gonna have a massive advantage.

So yes, actually, being cut off from do anything magics that can be used to overcome limitations in your nonsystem is a weakness, and a basic understanding of player equality makes it sensical for a full specialist character to be exceedingly good at what he does. Since you bring up the source material it's, you know, exactly how the source material did this. I criticized things I would've criticized one way or another, because they're glaring issues multiple people brought up and your own co-GM was trying to fix.

Yes, your fiat, because there's absolutely no proper numbers or mechanics at play enforcing your vague attempt at control, it all comes down entirely on whether you feel it's appropiate. In a real, actual system, there's proper hard rules to follow and a GM can interpret them, he can work with his group to change them to suit specifics of the game, but he can't just wildly dictate what the rules are. Because there's a system in place. And GMs that think they're a god that can do anything they want very quickly find themselves without players. Sound familiar?

But yes, of course, your attempt at a system is based on the meaningless stats for a children's cartoon with basically no real proper direct correspondence and where the author can fudge and change things to suit his narrative needs. And in a series where more or less everyone that matters would be considered a cheat character that's good at everything most everywhere else, no less.

And as a final note, I guess you would know about trash cliches with your planned railroaded story and character that's mostly a powerset.

First off, yes, separate version. If you publicly, loudly abandon ship, don't address the guy you asked to help you run it when he's trying to actually run it after that, then try to have a restart with another group, it's a separate version buddy. But thank you for confirming I got that right. Shit's silly.

Second I've spent plenty of time roleplaying, if you wanna go there for some reason, but I wouldn't because you put 20 hours into this but still couldn't handle basic discussion about a "system" that runs entirely on your fiat.

Third, I hadn't even posted anything at the time. Everyone was moving on just fine, but then you didn't get an immediate response to some PMs and threw a tantrum. Not even gonna say I don't argue things but you can't blame me for ragequitting if I didn't actually post.

Fourth, I'm not sure how I was going for the perfect character while actively, heavily limiting myself, which you even said I did. Going by your own example of a taijutsu user with low strength as suboptimal uh, you did notice that both @KnightOfNight and Kloudy Kloudy fit this exact mold, right? Knight especially, low strength and speed even, yet both characters made up for that in jutsu use with massive amounts of utility and application. System gamed, per your own reckoning and view of strength as integral to taijutsu balance, and you didn't even notice.

Hold, I didn’t game the system. My character’s actually pretty tame in comparison to the naruto verse and even people in this rp. You’re the one who brought in a western wrestler to ruin a Japanese setting.

And if Hunter isn’t continuing for real, then I guess I’ll join...

Kloudy Kloudy
If I'd had an issue with your character or Knight's, trust me, I would've brought it up while it was still relevant. The point wasn't "this be bad", the point was that for someone that champions the impact of his system so much, what did Uncultured Uncultured use as an example of a "useless" character defined by his view of the stats? A taijutsu user with a low strength score. And lo and behold, we had at least two of those off the top of my head, and they were perfectly in balance with other characters. So I guess per his views, you two gamed his system huh? Or maybe he just didn't recognize the weight of ninjutsu use in balancing, hmmmmm...

As for the wrestling thing, uh, the Raikage's moveset is entirely based off of pro wrestling, y'know. Because pro wrestling is huge in Japan. Chops and elbows/forearms are common strikes in pro wrestling because they're easier to make credible than punches, the Liger Bomb is one of the finishers of japanese legend Jushin Liger, the Iron Claw is an old timey classic submission hold used by a few famous wrestlers, I shouldn't even have to explain a leg drop. The lariat is a common high impact move and the electric double lariat is lifted straight from two arc endbosses in Kinnikuman, a popular and influential shonen series based around pro wrestling that started its run five years before Dragon Ball and helped define the shonen genre.

So no mate, pro wrestling is already well a part of Naruto and its schizophrenic magical feudal Japan setting that also has televisions, computers, phones, satellite dishes, vcrs etc. Oh and I forgot, Sasuke's Peregrine Falcon Drop is a piledriver too. Which could well be named after Hayabusa, a very popular wrestler in the mid 90s to early 2000s famed as an innovator and pioneer of high flying moves in Japan, given Hayabusa is the japanese word for peregrine falcons and the move's original japanese name is Hayabusa Otoshi. One of those things that kinda get lost in translation.

I've got a quick question before I start on a CS. Are we allowed to make a Kekkei Genkai and hidden jutsu for custom clans? I was thinking of having an archery centered OC who has a dojutsu that can track tne movement of inanimate objects in motion (plotting out a mostly accurate path from start to finish)
