Political Systems

Economic system
The Coalition's system borrows much from the communist-capitalist China of the early 21st century, although like its parent nation on Earth it has leaned even more towards capitalism and no longer claims to be a truly communist nation.

Government
The Coalition is a Technocratic Representative Democracy. Each of the settlements elects a number of representatives based on population to represent their constituents in national policy. The national leader is elected by popular vote and serves up to four 5-year terms. Not just anyone can be a representative or leader, though. You need a fairly high level of education, and to be national leader you are required to have previous political experience. Furthermore, certain views such as racial supremacy can also disqualify you.
Foreign Policy
The Coalition is fairly xenophilic, encouraging refugees and immigrants and especially loving trade with other nations.
Personal Freedoms
The citizens of the Coalition enjoy a fair amount of personal freedom. However, old habits die hard, and censorship and other such things occur and Free Speech isn't necessarily guaranteed.

Terraforming Policy
The Coalition's terraforming policy is relatively neutral, leaning slightly pro-terraforming. However, it is acknowledged that there is a natural beauty to Mars and all other worlds, and that that beauty should be preserved in any terraforming process.

Non-human Citizenry Policy
The Coalition believes in equality of all sapients, whether they be AI, human, or animal. They may be the first to deal with this issue, as efforts to genetically engineer sapience into some animal species have been going on for several decades in the Coalition.

Leader Name:
Zhou Wuying

Leader Appearance(description or image):
chinaman-jpg.338237

Leader Goals:
Zhou Wuying has two major priorities as leader. Firstly, he wishes to re-establish contact with other colonies all across the Solar System and get a body similar to the UN up and running to encourage humanity to work together in these uncertain times. Secondly, he wishes to complete the Grey Parrot Enhancement project, currently the most successful effort in engineering sapience into other animals. He also hopes to acquire dolphin specimens from another colony, as there are not enough in the Coalition for a breeding population to create a sapient species. He also has some interest in exploring other bodies in the Solar System.

Military Info

Number of Soldiers
28,000

Number of Military Vehicles
1,870
Automation Level
The Army is largely automated, with about 60% of soldiers being bots of various kinds. Vehicles are also autonomous, although they usually have a driver who can take over if necessary.
Other
arrowhead_redmars-jpg.338241

Due to Mars' currently extremely thin atmosphere, planes are not very viable. Because of this, the Coalition mostly uses dirigibles for military operations, as they fly better in the thin Martian atmosphere.

History
Closely following the first Mars colony by the USA in 2052, the first Chinese colony of Chongqing in the Elysium region was founded in 2056. The population powerhouse of China housed over 2 billion people at this point, and many saw Mars as a new opportunity. Habitats were quickly filled up as soon as they were built. However, business still continued back on Earth. Seeing opportunity in pacific and american markets, China began funding a colony program by Ecuador and Chile to gain influence there. Those two nations established Punta Arenas in 2073, and had fallen under the Chinese influence sphere. Chinese culture began to heavily influence the cultures of those nations, and they were solidly in China's Pacific influence sphere, even to the end when war came. The colonies on Elysium had grown to 3.2 million people by the time of the Rapture, World War III, the Bombardment of Fire, the Smiting, the Last War. Now, half a year later in 2112, the government has finally been consolidated, the legal documents drafted, the officials elected, the nation born. Zhou Wuying plans to lead his nation, and hopefully all of humanity, into not just only recovery but a new renaissance for humanity, the solar system, and all of Earthkind.

Name: Children of Terra
Location: Mare Nectaris (surface, subterrain, and satellite structures.)
Population: approx. 1,273,500 able bodied colonists. 37,400 children.

Main Settlement: Colony lB-7
Other Settlements: Colony lB-2, Facility lC-23, Luna-Terra checkpoint
Founder Nation: Collaborative efforts; British government - German/Swedish private investors
Culture Demographics: 79% caucasian-British, 11% african-British, 7% asian-British, 3% other
Religious Demographics: 43% protestant-Christian, 21% catholic-Christian, 18% orthodox-Christian, 17% atheist, 1% other
Speciality: Transportation & surveillance

Political Systems:
Economic system: Dual Economy, primarily Command/Planned economic system, market aspects present for small business/recreational facilities.
Government: Militant police state/dictatorship
Foreign Policy: Neutral towards Earth, Xenophobic to other colonies.
Personal Freedoms: Originating from a collection of military and assembly checkpoints for stellar travel, personal liberties have been greatly increased. However they’re fairly restrictive from the liberal western nations of Earth. Most of the liberties that have been curbed have been done so not for tyrannical oppression, but social security and prevention of terrorism after the colony lB-2 massacre of 41 people. Things such as body mods, small business and private sector recreation are fine. Recreational substances are also permitted so long as they adhere to government regulations.
Terraforming Policy: The current official beliefs of the Children of Terra is that all planets are sacred but controlled terraforming is necessary to provide a safe and habitable terrain for human colonisation. Farms, forests, and isolated and controlled ecosystems are accepted as some of the only forms of terraforming that isn’t invasive and destructive to a planet.
Non-human Citizenry Policy: AI, though basic computer algorithms, play a key component in the running of the Luna-Terra checkpoint and thus are deemed essential. The idea of self aware and self-learning AI both scares and impresses the Children of Terra. If such AI were to ever exist, they would be considered invaluable and almost exclusively sought after by the Children of Terra. Enhanced humans are used for the occasional search and seize operations deployed. They’re still cold shouldered by society but highly respected amongst government and military officials.

OLD-Gentleman-SMILING1-e1404281474627.jpg

Leader Name: Sir Nigel George Williams.
Leader Goals: To reconnect with Earth, restore England to its former glory and hopefully rescue the king. A diehard loyalist to the crown despite their absence in the political scene for the past one hundred years, he believes the royal lineage is still safe. Despite having no contact with English government or military he still holds out faith.

Military Info:
Number of Soldiers: 25,000 men and women ready for deployment.
Number of Military Vehicles: Excluding drones, 543. 503 drop ships, 10 exosuits, 30 dune buggies.
Automation Level: All ground forces are human exclusively. Pilots on the other hand are interchangeable. Pilots responsible for troop deployment are kept as being human (enhanced or natural is irrelevant) while drones and defence systems of the colonies are almost fully automated with task forces of 20 or less engineers required to keep them operational.

Troop variants:
  • S4-10 ‘Saviours’ - Named after their suits the S4-10s. They are carefully selected for specific missions, functioning as an elite task force of modified soldiers. Their suits are large and bulky, making them slow moving but resistant to small arms fire. Their large backpacks function not as a weapon but as an oxygen store. If oxygen is present the soldier inside can manually switch the suit to filter out hazardous materials as opposed to using the oxygen supply. It was designed for Luna based combat but due to little competition is rarely used for such. These suits are for military purposes only and are improvements on the S3-5 model designed for mining and security.
  • Royal Marines - The main arm of the navy. The royal marines make the bulk of the 25,000 forces and for good reason. Equipped with the mass produced NS4-30 body armour, they can take a hit and keep going. Light, cheap and maneuverable the armour keeps these men from being heavily impeded and left out to dry. These suits were made during the golden age of 2072. The men and women inside these suits have a 60 minute oxygen supply if left stranded, but are usually deployed in regions with oxygen supplies rendering their canisters irrelevant.
  • AN-S32 ‘Hotheads’ - Nicknamed after the visual display and intense heat of reentry into a planet’s atmosphere, these troops are pilots and are rarely ever seen outside of their assigned vessel. They have a superior understanding of engineering when compared to the s4-10’s and have been known to perform repairs if they have the required resources present.
History:
2063, Britain becomes interested in lunar settlement and joining the solar system colonising race. House of commons begin debating the nature of inter-planetary colonisation with the movement of a luna colony being passed with a 72% favour.

2074, colony lB-2 begins construction on the border of Mare Tranquillitatis and Mare Nectaris. Plans begin being drafted for other colonies and facilities in the region.

2076, colony lB-7 begins construction in Mare Nectaris. Britain annexes territory marking it as a British-only region. International disapproval of Britain, UN scolds publicly. UK continues anyway.

2079, funding for lB-7 is cut after complications regarding unforseen circumstances and increased interest in the space elevator. LB-7 becomes open to the private sector for further funding. LB-2 is completed and begins research regarding terraforming luna surface for agricultural benefits.

2081, colony lB-7 is created by the British government with financial backing from third party interests from Germany and Sweden. The colony was established to be an assembly factory for more colonising ships, housing components for the Luna-Terra checkpoint. German company uses lB-7 to store mining equipment and colonists.

2084, Luna-Terra sky dock assembled and launched from lB-7 for future British colony ship launches. Construction begins on Facility IC-22

2085, facility IC-22 falls through due to funding. Facility IC-23 begins drafting.

2087, facility IC-23 receives a greenlight. Russian-British surveillance act signed regarding facility IC-23. International disapproval continues.

2091, German mining corporation involved in the backing of lB-7 declares bankruptcy. Liquidate assets to lunar colony and withdraw mining crews. S3-5 model equipment is left in warehouses en masse for future scrapping or use.

2092, British government signs the lunar preservation act. Mining is brought to a slow pace in annexed lunar territories due to heavy regulations. Swedish backing remains for colony lB-7 but is reduced by 50%. Colony lB-7 forms new movement to gain political influence based on their presence on the moon being vital for the space race. Movement is carried with Admiral Nigel G. Williams being instated by the king as prime minister of the luna colonies. Children of Terra is born.

2093, new AI breakthroughs regarding fully automated defence systems from oncoming space debris. Drones are produced and sent to the lB-7 and lB-2. Facility IC-23 is declared unethical, Russian-British surveillance act is redrafted and the facility becomes an astronomy outpost.

2094, Russian science teams are evicted and returned to Earth. lB-7 is reassigned as a military outpost. 2,000 armed troops are introduced to the lB-7 colony and a further 1,000 to the lB-2 colony.

2097, terrorists emerge on Luna. Russian-German rebels. More British armed forces are deployed to the moon to ‘keep the peace’. Liberties are curbed after the massacre of lB-2.

2103, mining vessels left on the moon are sold to the colonies for a hefty price. All transport ships are seized and begin the ‘grey transition.’ LB-2 achieves farming breakthrough and begins the import of livestock from Earth. Methane power becomes a sufficient form of fuel to maintain current crops. Food grown is large but generally bland tasting. More research is invested in larger crops as opposed to taste. Below-surface farming begins in old mining quarry located just within lB-2.

2105, war is declared. Population of Britain begin to purchase tickets for the lB-7 colony. LB-7 opens borders for the public to enter to ensure their safety until the war ends.

2107, the war worsens. British parliament demands that the lunar colonies remain neutral to ensure the safety of the population. Children of Terra reluctantly comply.

2108, Swedish engineers in lB-7 working for the Swedish private investors are recalled to Earth. Funding for lB-7 stops. Supplies slow to monthly shipments.

2111, British government declares the lunar colonies take as many refugees as they can. All British craft capable of space travel are given to the lunar colonies. Begin taking in refugees from broken cities. Evacuation of Britain in full effect.

2112, the world ends… The signals stop returning and five carriers are declared M.I.A. Luna Colony lB-7 declares a state of emergency and collects all British facilities, equipment and colonial citizens. Children of Terra declares total independence.

The U.S. Army is the garrison and primary defensive force of the USM, due to a change of military and civilian government view on how operations work in the past few decades, it is now the Marines that form the primary deployment forces for offensive operations, moving in and wiping out enemy resistance with the Army being deployed afterwards to mop up. Current government policy enforces all young men and women upon hitting their 18th birthday to enlist in the Army for a period of two years, during these two years all lively expenses are paid for them and once their service time is over they can either choose to remain in the Army or move onto other careers. Like all branches of the military, it is mandatory for all Army personnel to go through advanced gene therapy upon recruitment as to improve their bodies, like the Marines the Army also has disciplined exercise courses for it's personnel to keep them strong under the planet's weak gravity.

Highly lethal, well-trained and very well-equipped. The United Martian Marine Corps is the successor to the centuries old USMC and a fighting force of the future, unlike it's defensive counterpart; the Army. Conscription is not practiced by the Marines due to the high levels of physical and mental requirements that any potential applicants must pass, conscription was tried in prior years however it hardly brought in any recruits as the majority of the population brought in though meeting the physical requirements could not live up to the hard-headed, wardog mentality expected of a United Martian Marine. The UMMC is the spearhead of the United States of Mars military and maintain peak physique to ensure their forms don't weaken under the weak Martian gravity. Alongside this the equipment of both the Army and Marines are vastly different though retain somewhat balanced effectiveness on the battlefield.

a0tIEWR.png
The primary mode of ground transportation for United States troops of both the Marines and Army, the M88 Armstrong is a heavily armored personnel carrier designed specifically to traverse rough barren environments like Mars and Luna, it is an all-terrain vehicle with peak defensive capabilities however it lacks any offensive measures, often relying on it's thick armored plating, sensor systems and nearby friendly units to defend itself. It is solely designed with the transport of equipment, supplies and personnel from point A to point B in the quickest, safest and most efficient manner possible and as such it is very hardy against light-arms fire and can hold its own for brief periods of time against anti-armor weaponry. It can hold up to 30 troops at one time.

3a8f8990b52260e0bd752a08987de510.jpg
The Enforcer is the brainchild of the creators of the M88 Armstrong and the M2A2 Eisenhower, developed and produced due to a requirement of having not just a standard issue APC but a standard issue IFV as well, it was built out of a necessity for the armed forces to have an armored vehicle that faster than the M2A2 yet slower than the M88 though compensated for it's slower speed by a larger array of defensive capabilities and the inclusion of offensive capabilities as well, allowing for the Enforcer to take part in battles as well as deliver troops to them. Though not as large as the M88 Armstrong, the M89 does allow for more combat assets to be deployed alongside infantry, with the ability to carry 20 troops in it's back compartment. The M89 also comes with--like it's predecessor a laser targetting system to support both infantry and air forces in acquiring priority targets on the battlefield. The Enforcer is typically used as a support offensive vehicle to the M2A2 and a transport vehicle to battles.

9ab7a71988ed7ee7d4ef9ff2ab6eccf1.jpg
The M2A2 is the primary and only main battle tank of the US Army and the UMMC, it maintains multiple roles of anti-armor and anti-infantry, with it's high speed and agility alongside it's heavy firepower making it suitable for both close-quarter engagements and long-distance tank battles. It sports two 145mm caliber guns on the front of it and two M359 Browning machine guns for use by either accompanying troops or the crew of the vehicle itself, with one turret at the back and one at the front. The M2A2 has a top speed of 65 miles an hour and it's tracks have been designed with the rugged Martian terrain in mind, allowing for quick manouvering when need be.

tank_detail.png
Following a dire need for modernized ground anti-air capabilities. Two major defense contractors for the US military were able to come up with a spiritual successor to the PATRIOT missile defense system back on Earth. As such the MIM-12 was born of that, with the ability to launch 18 powerful missiles at the same time or at multiple different times depending on the desire of the operator. The vehicle is fully automated and targets enemy aerial assets or projectiles based on priority, with these priority categorizations having been imput by human personnel beforehand as to give the vehicle the correct sense of morality and value of military equipment and human lives when it comes to designating a choice for it's missile launches. This vehicle is also capable of taking down spacecraft in low orbit however has not yet had the chance to prove it's capabilities in real combat for obvious reasons, the MIM-12 typically defends settlements and is designated as a support vehicle to be behind assault forces during any battle.

li_render___sci_fi_tank_by_laticis-da14g4n.jpg
Similar to the production of the M89 Enforcer or the MIM-12 PATRIOT, the M120 Knight was developed out of a requirement for a powerful and mobile method of delivering high amounts of firepower from a long distance, in other words a really good self-propelled artillery vehicle. And this was given to the military in the form of the M120, based on four seperated pairs of gripped wheels to easily traverse the rough Martian surface, the M120 is fitted with a 195mm howitzer cannon yet retains the deadly accuracy of other artillery guns of times gone past with the help of it's onboard fire control systems, again like all other vehicles in the US military's arsenal it is fully automated yet is designed to suit human operators if the automated systems are ever compromised.

3VJBy5WcVUPc.jpg
The Whitebird is the primary transportation shuttle of not just the USM military but it's civilian government as well, used by nearly every government agency for the transportation of people or goods, the Whitebird has proven itself a very capable and reliable asset on both the field and at home. The shuttle is capable of both atmospheric and space flight though is terribly slow compared to spaceflight designed vessels and it can carry up to 20 people at any given time though the recommended amount is 15, it is more often than not piloted automatically however like all other aircraft, spacecraft and vehicles in the USM, it is also designed with a cockpit to allow human control if the automated systems somehow fail or falter.

cf0071cbba241f39ecc0e4c17ecefbed.jpg
The Eagle is the designated heavy-hitter of the USM's aerial and space power for the time being, with it's large size, thick armor and staggering array of weaponry on-board. It really is a flying fortress, designed with the idea of heavy, reliable air support in mind with the ability to both defend itself and suppress enemy ground forces long enough for friendlies to either retreat safely or to advance quickly on the enemy positions, the AS-84 takes inspiration from both the AH-64 Apache and the AC-130 gunship, it maintains a crew of technicans to ensure that the many complex automated systems that control both the weapons of the craft and pilot it do not fail and if required step in to take manual control. It also provides an effective means of being able to both transport and defend troops and equipment at the same time, with it's back compartment being able to hold up to 15 troops and any necessary supplies for a mission or supply drop.

nenad_gojkovic_01.jpg
The F-62 Piercer is the air to air and air to ground fighter craft of the USAF, a fully automated strike craft with anti-armor and anti-air capable missiles en-tow, these fighter craft are renowned for their comparatively small size yet high bulk of firepower. The Piercer comes in multiple varients to perform a multitude of important roles in the air, the F-62A Electric is the Piercer's sister craft and is designed specifically for electronic warfare and stealth surveillance operations, with plans for AI integration in either the far or close future. Meanwhile the Piercer remains the mainstream model intended for offensive operations and close air support of friendly ground forces. The F-62 is also VTOL capable, removing the need for long airstrips and it's wings are retractable, allowing for large numbers of them to be stored in small spaces.

History:

2031
American astronauts touch down on Mars as the first Humans to set foot on the red planet. The stars and stripes are planted, famous words are spoken and the small three man team begins traversing the Martian landscape. After three days in Utopia Planitia they collect samples and return to Earth, a parade is held in New York in their honor.

2039
The second manned mission to Mars occurs, this time a team of seven astronauts touch down on the surface. Surveying the area for the possibility of a future colony, multiple robotic rovers are placed on the surface of Mars and even more samples are taken this time, the astronauts return to Earth after a week and more parades are held across the country.

2046
The third manned mission to Mars touches down, this time with a total of twenty astronauts and two civilian celebrities with an interest towards space exploration. The same processes as before are gone through, however unlike the previous two missions due to the presence of high-profile celebrities, a far more casual and public approach is taken with one of the two celebrities making a 'Martian Vlog' series on a popular internet video site. They return to Earth after two weeks.

2052
History is made again by the United States as a team of sixty six astronauts land on Mars, in the area known as Utopia Planitia to be precise and structures are set up, founding the first ever Human colony on the red planet; named Arcadia by the commander of the mission. NASA recieves a larger boost of its annual fund in this year than in any other year before, even with inflation adjusted.

History
Russia quickly working hard on a new space program, the first program launched in 2062 and landed in 2063. This caused a boom in colonization, with both private sectors and public sectors working together to colonize Mars. Fearing the growing American colony, precautions took place, including a new colony to the east. Military buildup continued, and when talks grew angrier, the Russian government took precautions to make sure their legacy lived on, ensuring that their colonies were much more stable and less reliant on shipments from home. When the nukes fell, there was disarray. The colony reorganized after a few months and began to act independently as a communist government. Now they turn their attention to their neighbors and to other places on Mars

The Spacers (or Hecate Corporation)

Location(Planet and specific area/asteroid):

Before the War, the Hecate Corporation controlled three water-collection and deuterium synthesizing plants on Earth's moon, a small shipyard near the asteroid Interamnia, and a space station in Earth orbit. Two of those lunar installations are now defunct, but could be repaired and made operational again. The space station in Earth orbit has been seriously damaged and is only barely livable. It is in the process of being abandoned. This leaves the Spacers with the deuterium synthesizer (Installation Echo) and the shipyard (Installation Charlie). The Hecate Corporation is currently headquartered from Charlie, although most Spacers live on their ships.

Population(under 5 million):

The Spacers do not keep official records on population, but it is estimated to be around 3,000 including children.

Main Settlement:

Installation Charlie, in orbit of Interamnia in the Asteroid Belt. Installation Charlie is a fully-functional shipyard fitted with all the hardware necessary to assemble and maintain smaller Hermes-class transports and Hecate escort corvettes. It is also equipped with metal refining capabilities, a large fusion reactor, and several mass drivers for launching mining probes onto nearby asteroids. Even so, Charlie is barely what one would call a settlement and is prone to overcrowding as Spacers pour into the facility for occasional shore leave.

Other Settlements(if any):

Installation Echo, is nothing more than a water collection and filtration plant and a deuterium synthesizer that is nearing the end of its effective lifespan. The facility is home to around fifty workers and security personnel. It is located in Shoemaker crater, on the Moon.

Station Hecate is the partially-damaged Earth-orbital space station that is home to around three hundred personnel. The station was severely damaged by radiation storms that occurred as a result of the discharge of nuclear weapons in the high atmosphere. The damage to the computer systems of the station made maintaining life support incredibly difficult. While the station has enough air and water to maintain the small crew living there for a few years, Spacer leadership is working on getting them moved to another location.

Founder Nation

The Hecate Corporation was founded in 2045 by joint American and Chinese investors (based in Ireland for tax reasons) as a deep-space prospecting and exploration company.

Culture Demographics:
45% White American/European (of some variety)
40% Chinese
6% English-Speaking Blacks
9% Other Asian
(Note that all senior officers can speak both English and Mandarin as a job requirement)

Religious Demographics:

75% Christian (or nominally Christian)
20% Atheist or Agnostic
5% Traditional Asian or Other

Specialty:
The Spacers specialize in the transportation of goods, people, and resources between planets. As a secondary specialty, they have semi-robust mining capabilities.

Political Systems

Economic System:

The Spacers generally would not think of themselves as a nation per say. However, they technically have a command economy where resources are allotted by need to the various settlements. Workers are paid with ration cards that can be exchanged at the Commissary for foodstuffs and other items. Free enterprise is not discouraged, its merely difficult to achieve under the circumstances.

Government:
Technically, the Spacers have a dictatorship, as their leaders are not elected and are self-appointed. However, there is a growing agreement that democratic reforms must take place.

Foreign Policy:
The Spacers are not openly hostile to the colonists, but are wary of them.

Personal Freedoms:
Outside of ensuring individuals do their assigned jobs, the leadership does not place many restrictions on personal freedoms. Although some factions within Hecate are pushing for a one-child policy. The leadership does, however, restrict access to controlled substances deemed harmful such as cocaine and methamphetamine.

Terraforming Policy:

While it is far from a pressing concern, the Spacers believe every little bit you can reclaim from the harshness of space is worth it. Thus they are generally in favor of terraforming.

Non-human Citizenry Policy:

While augmented humans are common among the Spacers, and they are often encouraged to have life-extension and other such cybernetic surgeries, they do believe that artificial intelligences are nothing more than tools made to look and feel like sentient creatures in order to make them easier to interact with. In short, they believe an AI is sophisticated but no more alive than a coffee machine.

Leader Name:

Captain Ferris Vemmheir

Leader Appearance:

Captain Vemmheir.jpg

Leader Goals:
The immediate goals of Captain Vemmheir consist of ensuring the safety and long-term security of Hecate personnel, and establishing a presence as the largest spacefaring group in the solar system. His long term goals include securing lasting prosperity for his people using their advantageous technological situation.

Military Info

Number of Soldiers:

350 Marines, various robots and turrets

Number of Military Vehicles:

24 Poseidon-class corvettes, armed with conventional kinetic weapons, point-defense lasers, and minesweepers. These vessels measure around 300 meters bow to stern and are crewed by twenty men.

Automation Level:
The vast majority of the Spacers' firepower lies in the hands of several hundred security androids, and thousands of defensive turrets in their ships and installations.

Other:

While most Spacer vessels are not armed, most do have small fleets of drones that can defend them against one or two lightly-armored attack ships.

corvette.jpg
The above pictured vessel is the aforementioned Poseidon-class, designed for defending cargo ships from drones or other small spacecraft. With a more submarine-like design, few places of the vessel are able to spin to produce gravity through centrifugal force. Thus, only small areas of the vessel have artificial gravity. The small ship, aside from its weaponry, also possesses several pods which can fire Mark-12 androids onto the surface of a planet or into the sidewalls of enemy vessels for boarding actions. These vessels employ an impulse engine.

a8ec8dc3afd297dd5d9bf41d028505d3--spacecraft-spaceships.jpg

The Hephaestus-class is a mining ship measuring roughly 1600 meters bow to stern with onboard metal intake and limited refining capabilities, crewed by around 180 men. These vessels are typically cramped and uncomfortable. Most of the metal processing takes place in the front of the ship, while the middle pods are used for crew quarters and recreation. Like the Poseidon-class, these ships are equipped with impulse drives. Some of these vessels have been retrofitted by the Spacers to collect and store water. While exteriorly identical, these are referred to as the Demeter-class.
d478c611c2dc07be357aed352af92bbd.jpg
The Apollo-class transport is the mainstay of the Spacer fleet, measuring nearly two kilometers bow to stern. The Hecate Corporation had built eight of them, but one was destroyed over Earth orbit during the nuclear hostilities leaving the fleet with seven. Before the war, these were top-of-the-line passenger cruisers that could ferry up to 500 people, including crew, around the solar system. Albeit at a slow rate, due to their reliance on an ion-engine. The flagship of the fleet, "Hecate One" is a retrofitted Apollo-class with a point-defense system and a large contingent of attack drones.

hermes.jpg

The Hermes-class is a class of small transports used by the Hecate fleet for routine resupply missions primarily to the Mars colonies. While they once boasted a substantial fleet, many of these vessels were destroyed or requisitioned by colonial governments, or were destroyed during Earth resupply missions. These small ships utilize impulse engines to quickly move between planets and can ferry up to 100 passengers and several tons of supplies.

Spacer EVA Suit.png
Above is a Spacer crewwoman in her all-purpose spacesuit. These are worn by most Spacers most of the time, and offer many advantages. The suits are entirely environmentally regulated and rated for EVA use for up to three hours with a helmet, and lead weights can be attached conveniently to the suits for work in zero-G environments. Additionally, the suits are very sturdy and protective against shrapnel and even small-caliber arms fire in some areas.

6f5eb444ad0ac1c86f9f4c6d02c9d9e6--character-ideas-character-art.png
Above is a Marine, or a Security Officer. These individuals were former military or PMCs that were hired by Hecate to protect the safety of the passengers and cargo of their vessels. They have access to military-grade small-arms from the ships' armories, and some heavy equipment like grenades.

Mark 12 Android.jpg

Mark 12's were developed by the company to eventually replace human security officers. They are versatile and deadly, but expensive to maintain. Their parts are in need of regular servicing and the Spacers only have a handful of certified roboticists and only a few 3D printing stations for the manufacture of new parts. Most of the Mark 12's in space are in a deteriorating condition, but still combat functional.

History

The Hecate Corporation was founded in 2045, but rapidly grew under the leadership of CEO Andrew Burbriar who took office in 2052. By the mid 2070's, they held a number of crucial patents on spacecraft components by strong-arming the competition and bribing corrupt government officials. Any technology they could not obtain somewhat legally and could not develop, they outright stole with a robust corporate espionage program that oftentimes turned to sabotage and violent intimidation. Their ruthless approach to business forced most of the smaller space exploration companies out of the business by 2090. By 2112, the Hecate Corporation owned 70% of all non-government interplanetary transport vessels, 45% of all mining vessels, and 82% of all private military vessels.

By the time the war started in 2112, the Hecate Corporation had become a powerful influence in both Chinese and American politics, and known throughout the world as the foremost company in spaceflight. The individuals who came to work for Hecate were at first allowed regular visits home, but the company soon turned to more draconian 10 to 20 year stints for the crew onboard the vessels. The long years were accompanied by good pay, and it drew the type of people who could tolerate the loneliness and isolation of space. Eventually, the "Spacer" subculture began as a phenomenon. Spacers were known to be socially-stilted, introverted, aloof, and overly cynical. While this doesn't always hold true, it was the general picture that the public had of the people who worked for Hecate before the War.

After the outbreak of War, Hecate was involved in the movement of refugees offworld before the nuclear holocaust. Chief among them was the then-CEO Richard Byron, who seized control of the entire fleet from Captain Vemmheir after news reached them of the nuclear destruction of Earth. Byron ordered the crew of the Hecate fleet to execute the refugees to make room and ensure the survival of himself and the investors he had taken aboard. In response, Vemmheir lead a mutiny that deposed Byron and saw the CEO and the investors tried and sentenced to death by airlock. The refugees, overtime, either were let off at various colonies or assimilated into the Spacers.

After the incident, Vemmheir took uncontested control of the Hecate fleet and convinced them of the superiority of their position over the colonists, suggesting they could be instrumental in reconnecting humanity in the bonds of communication and trade and make a killing doing so.

Spartan Program
Following the signing of Decree 359, youths above the age of 13 are highly encouraged to volunteer for the Spartan program. For the next 3 years, these youths will be trained in various situations such as hand to hand combat, firearms training, and piloting. The highlight of the program is the graduation test: Each team of 10 youths will be supplied with barely enough breathable air with the task being to reach the observation base on the highest peak of Olympus Mons. Those who reach the top will graduate. Those who fail to do so will drop out. Those who die will be buried with full military honors. The final test has a failure rate of 63% and a fatality rate of 1%.

Graduates are given higher standards of living for their families and an officer rank in the Federation's Air Force.

Operation Bifrost
A plan to make a functional space elevator and hopefully, an orbital shipyard. The plans are already in place but materials and manpower is needed. Perhaps some outside help is needed?

Operation Sun Shield
There is worry that the artificial magnetosphere provided by the array of electromagnetic satellites in orbit since the early days of colonization might require maintenance or replacement soon. Getting to them is one thing but our engineers are stumped. Some outside help needed?

Operation Heaven's Fall
The original reason behind the Spartan Program. Operation Heaven's Fall. The entire operation is still in its planning stages.

History
2052: First colonies established. An international Joint-Op with the EU, Russia, Japan and India. The colony would serve as the starting point for the future capital of Avalon.

2057: Ataksuki colony is established. Research on terraforming Mars as well as long term crop growing begins.

2058: Baskara colony is established. Production of special materials and nanotechnology begins.

2068: First man to climb Olympus Mons solo, Major T.Heinrich, erects multiple flags at its summit. Oddly enough, the German flag was accidentally left at the midway camp.

2072: The first mine accident occurs on Mars. Roughly 200 miners lost their lives when the tunnels collapsed.

2078: The observation base on the summit of Olympus Mons is set up. Used to make a star map over Mars. The Martian Peacekeeping force arrives on Mars. Made up of soldiers form the EU, tensions rise as people gossip about their true purpose here.

2082: The New Mars movement begins to gain steam. Colonists began thinking of declaring Mars' independence from Earth.

2089: Riots break out. New Mars radicals were swiftly suppressed by the Peacekeeping force stationed there.

2092: New Mars movement shut down after the leader of the movement, Alex Gregorovich, commits suicide. A small memorial is erected to remember his cause.

2095: The colonies of Tharsis and Olympus Mons become self-sufficient with improving soil conditions and farming. Future Secretary-General Fredric Rommel visits the Tharsis Colonies for the first time. He brings news of troubling developments on Earth.

2099: The basis for a mass driver on Olympus Mons is set and the Valhalla Colony is established. Shipments from Earth begin slowing down.

2100: Expedition to the Martian North Pole successful. Plans for a pipeline to the frozen water begins. Shipments from Earth went from a bi-monthly event to a quarterly event.

2103: North Pole water treatment facility and pipeline is set. Shipments from Earth halt completely.

2105: War is declared. The colonies of Tharsis and Olympus Mons declare neutrality to prevent any unnecessary bloodshed. Later that year, contact with Earth is lost completely.

2106: A disillusioned General Rommel arrives on Mars with his men. He declares that Earth is beyond saving and establishes the Mars Self Defense Force. Riots break out as arguments between Earth Loyalists and Martian Loyalists begin.

2108: The situation calms down as the MSDF restores order to the area and declares Martial Law. The worst mining accident on Mars occurs. More than 1000 miners lost their lives due to a cave-in hampering rescue efforts. Later in the year, the United Federation of Tharsis and Olympus Mons is formed after colony representatives discussed matters. A stratocracy is suggested in order to restore peace to the area. Voting begins next year.

2109: General Fredric Rommel wins the popular vote and is named Head of the Federation. He promises to bring peace to Mars. Later that year, the Spartan Program is established. First batch of recruits begin training. A stream of refugees from Earth begin to arrive.

2111: More disillusioned soldiers and refugees flee from Earth after receiving orders to initiate the Purge. Multiple fleets came and seek refuge on Mars. Their ships left to rot in orbit or crashed on Mars, they never had plans to return to Earth and the news doesn't sound good. Rumors of nukes spread. A message of hope is sent to Earth.

2112: After a year, no response is heard from Earth. The first batch of Spartans pass and placed into two Squadrons. (Blitz and Raikou) Operation Bifrost begins.

Number of Military Vehicles: Excluding drones, 143. 103 drop ships, 10 exosuits, 30 dune buggies.

Like all branches of the military, it is mandatory for all Army personnel to go through advanced gene therapy upon recruitment as to improve their bodies, like the Marines the Army also has disciplined exercise courses for it's personnel to keep them strong under the planet's weak gravity.

latest

The Piercer comes in multiple varients to perform a multitude of important roles in the air, the F-62A Electric is the Pierce's sister craft and is designed specifically for electronic warfare and stealth surveillance operations, with plans for AI integration in either the far or close future.

Name: The UABC (United Asteroid Belt Colonies)

Location(Planet and specific area/asteroid): All of Ceres is claimed by the nation, and there are minor outposts on seven of the nearest asteroids, largely for small mining operations.

Population(under 5 million): As of the 2110 census, 1,224,336, though estimated growth rates have placed it at 1,228,144

Main Settlement: Janus, the capital, boasts a mighty population of 144,362 people, with it's large military bases and mining operations nearby providing jobs for the citizens.

Other Settlements(if any): Though the vast majority of citizens live in small Dome-towns, as they are fondly called, there are three other large towns - Deimos, boasting 33,220, is home to the most outstanding military academies as well as the space port of Ceres, which produce small mining ships and defense ships for the most part, though they also boast the fact that they created the Corvette flagship, the BCN Indomitable, which has an astounding four railguns as well as sublight ion engines. The other two cities, Lyssa, home to the heavy industrial sector of Ceres and boasting 24,190 people, and Demeter, the sprawling farmland city that produces the vast amount of food for the UABC, with 19,220 people calling it home.

Founder Nation(Main colonizers are America, China, EU, and India. However, other nations are fine if you get my approval and have a plausible reason.): A joint EU and American Effort.

Culture Demographics: 36% German
24% English American
17% English
12% French
1% Dutch

Religious Demographics: 84% Protestant, 16% Catholic

Specialty(transportation, mining, rocketry, habitat technology, etc.): Mining and Shipbuilding, with subspecialties of agriculture and industrial production.

Political Systems

Economic system(Free market capitalism, hardline communism, anarchist gift economy, etc. Even make up your own if you want): An interesting mix, where citizens are required to work from the age of sixteen onwards to earn their ration cards, but they also get luxury cards as normal wages for small things, like personal computers, clothes, and other such things. Military members earn a higher amount of luxury cards due to the military culture of the UABC

Government(Democracy to dictatorship, however your leaders are chosen): Ruled by a council of the four Military heads, with one of them taking the place of ruler. There is also a senate which largely votes on the smaller changes.

Foreign Policy(Xenophile or xenophobe?): While mildly hostile due to their militaristic culture, if you earn their friendship they tend to be an unwavering ally.

Personal Freedoms(Is it anarchy, where everyone does whatever they please, or is every citizen a drone of the state, with no freedom at all?): The citizens largely have freedoms - freedom of speech, religion and whatnot, but they are required to work as stated before and they are all subject to draft from the age of sixteen until they are forty five.

Terraforming Policy(Do you believe a planet should be terraformed at any cost or that an untouched planet is sacred? Somewhere in between?): They are heavily reliant on terraforming to provide food, make life easier, and the like, so they are heavy terraformers.

Non-human Citizenry Policy(Are you a human supremacist that believes enhanced animals, genetically engineered humans, and AI are scum? Do you believe all sapients are equal? This will only be relevant later in the RP): It is believed that animals and AI are below them, only useful in the mines where the humans cannot reach. Genetically enhanced and engineered humans are allowable, but they would likely see heavy military service.

Leader Name: Commander-General Markus de Vries

Leader Appearance(description or image): Tall and broad shouldered, but showing his advanced age of fifty six. He has dark hair heavily peppered with gray and can come off as intimidating and cold.

Leader Goals(Build more colonies? Speed up terraforming? Create Artificial General Intelligence? What does your leader want to use your resources for?): Terraform Ceres and later colonize other asteroids, with the eventual goal of combining asteroids and terraforming it into a suitable planet.

Other(Anything you think I missed, as long as it relates to your political systems):

Military Info

Number of Soldiers(Please try to be reasonable. 1 percent of population is a good area): (Due to the heavy militarization of the UABC, I figured 1.5 percent would be reasonable) 18,336 in all, though roughly 300 man the small rockets that patrol as well as the flagship. The marines are heavily armed and armored, with excellent armor, the ICS (integrated combat system) which is used primarily for highlighting enemy soldiers, checking distances, and getting viewmaps from local cameras (usually used in boarding battles) They also use the IR (infantry rifle) 32, which, while not as helpful as the reliable and heavy punching IR48, still is valuable in space combat due to the high velocity bullets which can be used on Extra-Vehicular patrols.
upload_2017-7-31_23-14-7-jpeg.338337

Roughly sixty are the Sentinel Tactical Force (STF) Armored in graphene armor and carrying lethat IR48's, which detect heat signatures, carry a thirty round clip, and have an excellent reliability. They are selected from the very finest of the UAMC.
Number of Military Vehicles: A single Corvette, the BCN Indomitable, which, as stated before, has ionic engines and four railguns. Manned by eighty men, it can pack a punch. The rest of the 'fleet' is made up of small reusable rockets, with a three man crew, largely used for patrolling the area.
Ground vehicles are much less common, but there is a hundred and twenty Humvee's, used largely in quelling any unrest due to their armor.
The Burness Air Transport, which uses alternating engines, can lift off from the main spaceport of Deimos, enter the airlock, and switch from an air intake engine to a more standard liquid fuel engine. These are not designed for long range missions, and are commonly used for trade between the dome cities or resupplies to the mining colonies. The farthest a Burness has reached is Phobos, but it was supported and refueled by a fellow burness halfway there and even then it had no fuel for a return trip. There are currently eight hundred of these transports, though a large amount of them are private civilian transports used by the mining corporations.
For longer ranged trips, such as trading trips to Mars, the vast majority of citizens as well as the military turns to the Tollet Long Range Cargo Vehicle. Sparsely armed but with a large cargo hold and an excellent fuel tank efficiency, this allows one round trip to Mars per fuel tank. It can also carry three humvees and thirty soldiers or eighty soldiers. There are currently fifty of the TLRC in usage.

Automation Level(How automated is your military? It's 2112 after all. Are most of your soldiers robots and your tanks controlled by programming, or do you still use mostly human troops?): While still largely humans, the supply, repair and other aspects are done by bots and droids, as it is much simpler for them to do it.

Other(Anything you think I missed, as long as it relates to your military):

History

Ceres was established as a military development, training, and building center for new spacecraft by the US-EU to combat the threat of the Chinese colonies in 2068. Unfortunately, growing political tensions meant that focus was not as centered on Ceres, and the shipments of food, new parts, and people became much less common as Mars was focused on. Thus Ceres had to become more self sufficient. One of the first projects was a vast farmland with solar lamps to assist this. Thankfully, with the advent of fusion power, this was easily assisted and crops were quickly assisting. The population swelled over the next three decades and mining and industry was being swiftly developed, with tensions on Earth growing worse and the likelihood of all shipments stopping becoming more and more likely.
After the fall of the Earth, it was evident that Ceres was unlikely to survive without strong leadership. The military swiftly took down the Democratic government in a coup. With a Ceres-born general at the head, a swift change to the economy and political system was made, with the ration and luxury card system coming into play and the government being restructured. Though political unrest occured, the military kept the peace until such a time that the insurrection began to stop. When unrest was quelled three weeks ago, the Commander General swiftly turned his attention to the politics of the Solar System.
All accepted.

Other Settlements(if any): New St. Petersburg, a location central to trading, has the added benefit of having 200,144 people who work, tilling the farms, processing the food and transporting it to Marscow for further processing. It also houses many hotels and other services for travelling traders, which provides a suitable boost to tax income from trade. New Kiev is a smaller city, housing only 102,189 people, but it is an excellent research center, with automated bots bringing in new samples for research. There are also ongoing experiments to alter human genes, though successes have been limited thus far. Number of Soldiers(Please try to be reasonable. 1 percent of population is a good area): 30,000 soldiers armed with basic combat armor and weaponry of a successor model to the AK47 which is equally reliable but packs a bit more of a punch. There are 300 Spetznaz, twenty of whom guard the Commisar at all times to prevent assassination. The others, usually armed with an advanced combat armor, generally put down unrest in the lands.

Number of Military Vehicles: Three thousand Armored Personnel Carriers which house ten soldiers, a driver and a gunner for twelve in all, built durably for the Martian weather. Two hundred tanks, a successor to the T-14 Armata which is built specially for Mars to keep warmth, pressure and gravity in the tank. Twenty long range carriers built to fly from Earth to Mars. Eighty low intake Aircraft drones designed to pack a heavy punch with twenty standard fragmentation bombs. One hundred and twenty artillery batteries, with eighty small missiles each designed to effectively eliminate infantry, vehicles and small buildings.

Automation Level(How automated is your military? It's 2112 after all. Are most of your soldiers robots and your tanks controlled by programming, or do you still use mostly human troops?):
There is automation, but it's largely from shield bots which can place down a physical shield to protect squadrons of soldiers, as well as supplying the soldiers and repairing vehicles.

History
In 2058, Russia was overthrown once more into communism by people calling for the old days of the glory of the motherland. Placed under a communist government, they swiftly turned their attention to the stars where they found all the good land on Mars seemingly being taken away by American and European scum. Quickly working hard on a new space program, the first program launched in 2062 and landed in 2063. The colony reorganized after a few months and began to act independently. Now they turn their attention to their neighbors and to other places on Mars
Accepted if you change the history. Russia doesn't become communist in the RP's history, but you can say the colony went communist after the war that ruined Earth.

Population(under 5 million): 3.4M

Main Settlement: New Durham

Other Settlements(if any): The German Colony of Ceres, Napolia, New Glasgow, New Sjaelland and New Cornwall to name the most populous

Founder Nation: EU, with large British Backing to aid the program

Culture Demographics: 45% British (70%English, 28% Scottish and 2% other) 18% German, 18%Scandinavian (70% Swedish, 30% Danish) 17% French and 2% Other

Religious Demographics: 80% Atheist/Agnostic, 14% Christian of some form, 6% Other

Speciality: While most of the Colonies stable income comes from Mining, much is then invested into colony technologies such as habitats and Low Gravity transport systems and The 'Ceres Structure' a Proposed planet wide station using surface and subsurface infrastructure and a possible station in the core. (current roadblock is the sub surface ocean.)

Political Systems

Economic system: Loosely restricted Capitalist, with restrictions to ensure a basic standard of living (e.g. Minimum wage)

Government: The Government is run by a committee with members elected by each colony. Members must have lived in the Colony for 10 years , or be born in the colony they wish to represent (And be a Citizen of the nation). The Committee members usually remain for terms of 10 years, with a two term cap (though some colonies differ) and they all agree to elect a High Chair and a Low Chair. The Low Chair holds the most direct power but can be removed by the High chair and has a fixed term of 10 years, with a limit of one term. The High Chair is elected for life but has little direct power other then that of Veto and that to dismiss the Low Chair with a 30% backing from the Committee

Foreign Policy: Xenophile

Personal Freedoms: Citizens are subject to laws to ensure the majority feel safe, Crimes such as first degree murder are subject to the death penalty and lesser crimes generally are given a period of state mandated manual labour for a period depending on severity.

Terraforming Policy: While a Rock such as Ceres is currently beyond their terraforming ability they do believe that a balance is best, where regions are terraformed with (provided there are no native species) an as close to earth atmosphere as possible, while regions remain free of physical change to ensure the planets history and the solar systems past are maintained, a sort of 'park'

Non-human Citizenry Policy: All creatures able to prove sentience should be given rights, however the act of creating such life should (once relevant) be highly restricted and monitored with heavily regulations. (However very little laws to this end currently exist)

Leader Name: High Chair, Maelic Koft

Leader Appearance:
347ac401220ce05d63af4e64f1df4236.jpg

Leader Goals: As Chairman Koft said to the Committee, he intends to make them a system wide trading power, hoping that the strategic value of their position coupled with the high standard of living (comparably) will invite trade and investment and allow them to become a trading hub

Other: While the Committee is largely free of 'corruption' it is far from a smooth system. The Chairs are often at odds with each other and succeeding Committees often have issue agreeing to the wishes of long standing High Chairs

Military Info

Number of Soldiers: 12,000

Number of Military Vehicles: 3-400 Military Focused vehicles and a large number of independent mining vessels with varying levels of military might that can potentially be commandeered should a direct threat arise. The Nation also has around 200 Government owned Mining vessels that mine surrounding asteroids and provide resources directly to the Colonies, these are generally designed to mine simple crystals or base ores, such as Ice or Iron.
Automation Level: Groups of autonomous drones are lead by Human squad leaders and tanks (and similar vehicles) are drone operated from Commands Hubs.

Other: The Military is very militia focused with only a limited standing force with large numbers of vessels able to be commandeered.

History

[WIP] The value of the asteroid belt seemed obvious to the EU but its economy could not supply a large scale colonial expansion. They looked to their friend and powerful trading state in the UK and so deals were made, resulting in large numbers of British colonists being added to the rosters and a good deal of British Political influence. It was soon clear that nearly all the colonists would be British, German, French or Scandinavian. An ambitious plan that was included in this was the 'Ceres Super Structure' turning the entire Dwarf Planet into a single large colony and space station. (Originally as a possible future location for Britain and her allies to escape the apocalypse, bit late now)

Name: Lunar Autocratic Nation

Location(Planet and specific area/asteroid): Mare Nubium

Population(under 5 million): 4,045,401

Main Settlement: Tyche, named for the good fortune the settlers found, with a population of 2,701,144, is a sprawling metropolis with many buildings due to it holding the smaller secondary cargo port, is a trading hub and an industrial city, with many factories working hard. It is the largest city by far, holding the vast majority of the population. It houses the local government building, now the capitol building as well as multiple corporations.

Other Settlements(if any): Asclepius, the largest research city as well as medically innovative city, houses 503,221. Demeter, the main farming settlement, houses 320,412, producing much of the food on the Moon. The two minor military developments, Phobos and Deimos, have 216,441 and 304,183 respectively, and are largely involved with military training, building and development.

Founder Nation(Main colonizers are America, China, EU, and India. However, other nations are fine if you get my approval and have a plausible reason.): Founded by the EU with British and American assistance

Culture Demographics:
31% American White
23% English
22% German
12% French
7% Polish
5% Dutch

Religious Demographics:
92% Christian (60% Protestant, 32% Catholic
8% Other
Specialty(transportation, mining, rocketry, habitat technology, etc.): Military research, Industry and minor Transportation

Political Systems

Economic system(Free market capitalism, hardline communism, anarchist gift economy, etc. Even make up your own if you want): A system where you earn ration cards at a flat rate for your age but depending on your work and how dangerous it is - industry and military are more dangerous than farming for example - you earn luxury cards, to be spent on things like new clothes, personal computers, and other luxuries.

Government(Democracy to dictatorship, however your leaders are chosen): A council of four military leaders, with the main elected military leader becoming the Commissioner General. A lower senate decides on smaller issues.

Foreign Policy(Xenophile or xenophobe?): Neutral

Personal Freedoms(Is it anarchy, where everyone does whatever they please, or is every citizen a drone of the state, with no freedom at all?): There is the freedom of speech and religion, however the right to bear arms, freedom of abortion are lacking and there is the possibility of a draft for every single person from 16 to 45.

Terraforming Policy(Do you believe a planet should be terraformed at any cost or that an untouched planet is sacred? Somewhere in between?): A planet should be terraformed at all costs.

Non-human Citizenry Policy(Are you a human supremacist that believes enhanced animals, genetically engineered humans, and AI are scum? Do you believe all sapients are equal? This will only be relevant later in the RP): AI are servants, Engineered humans must serve in the military, enhanced animals are relatively less useful

Leader Name: Commissioner General Eric Tallahan

Leader Appearance(description or image):

Leader Goals(Build more colonies? Speed up terraforming? Create Artificial General Intelligence? What does your leader want to use your resources for?): Terraform the Moon to be more habitable

Other(Anything you think I missed, as long as it relates to your political systems): Motto: Ave Luna

Military Info

Number of Soldiers(Please try to be reasonable. 1 percent of population is a good area): 60,757 soldiers.
Armed with HVIR (high velocity infantry rifles), 3 anti personnel grenades, 2 anti tank grenades, standard body armor, a face plate with a camera that displays on the inside to protect the face while allowing for viewing. They also have an exoskeleton designed to assist them in carrying around their packs, which are laden with supplies in the event of being cut off.

350 special forces, the Sentinel branch, are designed for special operations involving taking down HVT's efficiently while eliminating any hostiles as well as cover ops to sabotage enemy forces. Armed with a HVIR mk2, more reliable and stronger. Multiple anti tank, anti personnel, and EMP grenades. When doing Covert Ops, they carry EMP charges designed to cut out power in a target area. They have Graphene-Carbon Fiber armor, an exoskeleton, and a similar face plate camera system designed to have the camera less protruding.

Number of Military Vehicles: 3,000 large APC rover hybrids with 20 capacity each. 150 Main Battle Tanks designed for lunar warfare. 2,500 Long Range Vehicles designed to transport thirty people or four and a half tons of cargo as far as Mars. There is a system of railguns defending the capitol, Phobos, and Deimos.

Automation Level(How automated is your military? It's 2112 after all. Are most of your soldiers robots and your tanks controlled by programming, or do you still use mostly human troops?): Supply chains and vehicles are automated with failsafe drivers, and troops use exoskeletons.

Other(Anything you think I missed, as long as it relates to your military):

History

Established by the US and EU as a defensive colony and a secondary port in the event the main one needs repairs. With a system of railguns being built in the later years as fears of an enemy attack grew, the military culture of the colony grew. Just as well, it was decided that should the Earth be irreparably destroyed Humanity must live on, and as such they made sure the Lunar colonies were sustainable, with fusion energy providing their energy needs, farms in Demeter, and railguns surrounding the largest city to prevent any stray nukes hitting the large city. Now, turning their attention to their neighbors, the future of Luna will be decided in the coming months.

Transports that can get people or cargo to other planets effectively are very important
