name: seo mcintyre
(pronounced “say-o mac-in-tire”)
age/birthday: 24/winter 5
personality: seo is strong-willed when it comes to doing things she enjoys or believes to be the right thing. she has a tendency to put others before her, and craves attention from those she surrounds herself with. her stubbornness comes from her father, and she secretly enjoys being compared with him. (considering he used to be a well-respected man in the community here.) seo can come off as harsh or sassy when you first meet her, but her heart is in the right place. she just has a tough time letting others know her true feelings. (she’s also kind of snobby ngl- she has high maintenance tastes)
sexuality: she is bisexual. she tends to become a bit flirtatious with people without realizing it.
background: seo grew up as an only child. her father, jun, raised her on his own. she grew up without knowing her mother because of the fact that her mother left a few days after seo was born. jun and her mother never were married or anything, and jun eventually admitted that her mother wanted nothing to do with her only child. jun was one of the more respected members of the community, due to his kind heart and upbringing by his parents. he died of a heart complication a few weeks before seo’s 16th birthday. for the longest time, she resided with one of the villagers’ family, but ultimately moved back into her childhood home by herself when she turned 18.
occupation: mayor’s assistant. she’s a hardworking person, and finds a lot of stress in helping the mayor out. however, she finds that organizing events, endless hours of paperwork and other tasks similar are a good distraction. jun wanted her to do something in law, and seeing as she has no interest in leaving snowbrush, this is the closest she would get. she started working for the mayor when she turned 19 and has been there since.
anything extra:
-since she works so closely w/the mayor, she has always wanted them to grant her one wish: becoming a tea shop owner. she needs the permit to do so, and the building itself needs to be made. it would be a lot of work and she is determined to keep pushing for it, even if it isn’t the best option for the village at the moment.
-she is allergic to cats, but that doesn’t stop her from petting and trying to take in strays that she comes across.
-seo is an overly emotional, sloppy, happy-go-lucky drunk. she picked up the bad habit when she was 17, unable to truly cope with her father’s passing.

He likes his work and he likes the company of those that regularly come to his tavern.

His main goal in life is to see Snowbrush thrive and grow into a bountiful and amazing community, whether that be helped by hosting events, going on walks around the town checking up on every one or just getting down and dirty helping with whatever projects are at work for the town.

Sexuality: Asexual, He just wants to be like a Grandpa to everyone in town.

Background: Samson grew up on a farm close to where Snowbrush was founded, working hard under his father with his two brothers Andrew and Thomas, together they worked on that farm until each of them were about 20, his two brothers moved to the city and became musicians while Samson studied business and political theory at college after receiving a full-ride scholarship from playing as the star quarterback in his high school's football team. After graduating from college he moved back close to home to Snowbrush and after a couple of decades of living there he ran for mayor and the rest is all history

Apart from being a salesman, he's also very caring and helpful to his fellow neighbors.

Background: Agro lived a fairly normal life, going through his school days like any other young man, the only oddity was he would sell snacks during recess to the other kids for pocket money, doing this jump-started his career into marketing and salesmanship, he's own his General store for nearly 12 years now and doesn't seem to be retiring anytime soon.

Thin slender figure yet a young face. There are two things that makes Molly identifiable too everyone else. Her two different eye colors that shine like stars and her fashion wardrobe with only one color white. Always seen wearing smart casual. (Running gag in the village is that she only wears white and she despises any dish with a sauce in it.)

Personality:
Basically an awkward innocent young woman with a low profile joviality of a class clown. Known for her quick-witted comebacks and awkward long silent treatments, Molly is one of the peculiar woman of the village of Snowbrush. Being an educated girl is a given, after all she is the village doctor. Her habits of studying is three times more impressive than an average woman unlike her, hence why she became a doctor so early. If you ask anyone if Molly is the same inside and outside of her job, she is. She's got that awkward smile on her face while she attempts to lighten the mood like some sort of improv comedian. She knows that her be can be a bit too stressful so a lighter mood in the clinic will always make her work more impressively than she already does. She hardly shows her negative side. You can't notice it on her face but you can tell if she is not in the jolly side by the tone of her dialogue alone.

Background:
While not originally born in Snowbrush village, her parents sure were before they moved out to go to another province to fulfill Molly's dream of being a nurse. Molly has shown interest in becoming a nurse since she was just a little girl. It turns out Molly was more than capable of being a nurse. She was gifted in the medical field. She spent most of her life pursuing this dream, she is respected by many people form her teachers to her friends. She participated in all kinds of health related programs and even donated her first blood donation at 19. Of course, the cost was her parents fortune. They sacrificed a lot of things for their little doctor. Molly moved to Snowbrush village to repay back her parent's dedication to her education. To be in Snowbrush to repay back her parents was an odd choice but she seems content about it.

*The best and most harmlessly entertaining way to torture the village doctor is to convince her to sing on the spot. Yes, believe it or not. One of her many talents in her arsenal is to come up with improvised song on the spot like some kind of musical character. (She actually does sing to younger patients to keep them calm and entertained) Only a few peeps in the village knows about it. Once requested or forced to do so she will actually do it. (She prefers to sing in the older genres of music, ex. Motown, Blues, and sometimes even opera.)​

personality: He’s not excessively unapproachable but William’s gruff voice and an appearance that could be intimidating certainly don’t help his cause. Not to mention the way he can be blunt at times although he typically is well-meaning enough. For those that try to get closer to him, they will undoubtedly run into a few walls he keeps around his heart. Though not related by blood William shared many traits with his adoptive father. Compassion for others, unforgiving to complacency and of course the innate desire for the freedom of an adventurer’s life being the most apparent. Simply put, he’s just a fool that carries his fair share of regrets and worries but is tentatively trying to understand his place in the world.

An elder man that once upon a time was an adventurer who frequently would tell tales that ignited a passion that would eventually draw William away from his home at the tender age of seventeen. He would return only briefly some years later, the occasion not one for celebration as he arrived too late to give a final goodbye to his father. Some that knew him maybe expected this to be what finally brought William home for good. Instead he vanished once again as that swampy farm languished in his absence. That was how it went until finally, after fourteen long years he returned home with as little notice as the night he left so long ago. Nearly half a year has passed since then, in that time William has made significant steps in returning some life into the farm.

This situation, along with her desire for a stress-free life pushed her to seek out Snowbrush Village for its quaint allure and fresh, local ingredients: so many tasty possibilities! It was Joshua, the tavern owner, who generously showed her practically everything she now knew about mixing drinks, and how to organize her workspace to function efficiently. In turn, she did her very best to offer pristine service in a clean, organized and friendly environment. What Joshua may have lacked in speed, she more than made up for by being quick on her feet. She didn't feel like she was slow here; she felt just right. Aoko truly loved her job: it was so much nicer on this side, away from the steamy kitchen, with the customers!

Eli is basically a 23 year old with the mentality of a 17 year old. He's very much a mouthy little brat who could stand to be taught a lesson or two. He's moody, generally kind of friendly and extraordinarily lazy concerning most things. Oddly enough he's a pretty good student despite his penchant for procrastinating and slacking off any chance he gets. He really lights up when you talk to him about video games, music, food, pop culture, subjects he likes(science, history) and animals. Much outside of that would most likely earn an eye roll and a yawn. His face is almost always glued to his phone so you have to be particularly interesting to tear him away from it. He walks around with a very laidback, carefree, don't-really-care kind of attitude. Eli loves a good joke and often tries to be witty and sarcastic though sometimes fails. Though he very much tries to be as annoying as possible, Elias is truly a good natured person who doesn't mind giving a helping hand if he can. So long as he doesn't have to work too hard. Everything's gotta be fast paced for him as well. One of the worst things you can do around him is be slow. Which is why he doesn't take his time with just about anything he does yet somehow miraculously tends to produce the results he wants.

Born and raised in Snowbrush, you would think Elias would be proud to call the little town 'home' but he honestly couldn't think less of the place. His parents have owned the nearby resource rich Mines in the town for over 30 years now which has afforded him some privileges that others most certainly didn't have. He was able to go to the much larger town for schooling and there he got the taste for city living. He's been itching to move out ever since but his father is pressuring him rather heavily to take on the business. It is quite obvious to his parents that he is nowhere near ready for that so they found him a job to help him learn to be responsible and build up a work ethic. It's only by the good name of his parents that he even has his job as a receptionist at the doctors office but so far he hasn't goofed up too much to get fired.

Kindhearted in general, Aurora will hardly tell someone off and if she does- her unease and embarrassment will shine through. Easily described as a pushover, she has had many situations where she's been taken advantage of in regards to prices, being pushed passed or even someone taking the last jar of jam from the store. Thoughtful in her encounters, Aurora will attempt to quell any arguments just to keep the peace and everyone chirpy.

Background: She thought she'd be a teacher, even studied for it too. When it came to it though, Aurora was useless in a classroom scenario. The woman wasn't able to tell children off and when that became evident; There was no respect given to her. She left that job opportunity and moved back home to live with her grandparents on their farm. It wasn't too late changing her dreams, right? Aurora ruthlessly threw herself into a rigorous regime on the farm for four years; getting up at the crack of dawn; tending to the crops and plot of land by hand-- Her grandparents never believed in all this technology nonsense. The best farm land was one done with a caring hand, not a machine.
Aurora wanted to take after her grandparents; Keep the farm in the family. Her father was off galivanting with some woman and her mother hadn't been around since birth. As far as she knew she had so siblings so who else to take on the farm but her? And she was enjoying it too!
But her happy start to her new life was short-lived. Her grandmother passed away not too long into the third year and now, into her fourth year, her grandfather has taken ill. Despite this, she keeps a happy smile plastered on her face-- Hoping not to worry anyone.

Anything extra: Despite being known for growing fruit and veggies, Aurora also grows flowers to sell.
Aurora loves all animals, even the spiders. She appreciates the circle of life, especially when it comes to healthy, thriving, plants.

There were no harsh feelings, and she kept in touch with her family, even invited them to her wedding a year later, then her baby shower the year after that. The sisters always had an unbreakable bond, and they often visited each other. May's son, Liam, shared that bond with Sage.

Since May had left Sage both sides of the family business, their father taught Sage the skills she needed to repair anything in the town, and her mother taught her how to happily clean other people's messes. Well, maybe the happy part didn't stick, but everything else did. Her parents had retired away from Snowbrush, much to everyone's surprise, and Sage kept up with the town, if just barely. She needed an assistant, but in order to find one, she'd have to swallow her pride.

Then the unthinkable happened less than a year ago – May and her family were hit merging onto the highway, on their way for a Christmas visit. May and her husband were killed instantly, but Liam, twenty-one, survived without a scratch. Devastated, Sage took a three month leave from Snowbrush to visit her parents on the coast, where Liam joined her. After that time, though still heartbroken, Sage returned home, and she brought Liam.

Personality: A practical, blunt woman, Sage rarely has time for any frivolities of life. Though she rises early, she has a difficult time sleeping at night, adding a little extra crabbiness during the day. However brash she may be, she is always there for her neighbors. Day and night, Sage never misses an opportunity to help – or give a little constructive criticism.

Since the death of her sister, the small cloud that always follows Sage got a little bigger, though she keeps an uncharacteristic grin on her face, for Liam's sake.

Occasionally, she's known to trade a smile for something sweet, particularly pies, considering she's not much of a baker. She cooks well enough to survive and without complaint from anyone who tries her food. She claims her secret is simply quality ingredients, and she always makes sure she maintains a good, if not slightly sycophantic, relationship with all of the farmers.

Over eager, excitable and with his head forever in the clouds, the village life fits Liam like a glove. He could sit in fields all day, drawing, writing, reading, memorizing poetry. His whimsical attitude is a mystery to his aunt, but she loves him just the same.

It's always a mystery. While he's naturally good-natured and easy-going, he enjoys stirring the pot quite a bit, trying to tug the carpet beneath one's feet, if you will. He's always casual in these matters, finding it more amusing to see the reaction on someone's face when he's so neutral. However, these little things that he does are only intended to make one smile, laugh or brighten their day. He loves reactions, loves to see people expressing themselves brightly, never intended to upset a person, and if he has? He becomes withdrawn and upset.

Growing up, proper etiquette and manners were drilled into him from a young age, something that he has carried throughout his entire life. He finds the 'typical' attitudes and friendships between 'manly men' rather intriguing, bizarre and very, very foreign, so he much prefers the company of softer, more feminine company.

His life was lived in dorms with other boys his age, his weekends spent playing around the private establishment with the other lads, and while they were happy times, there's also an element of sadness when reflecting on this past... Sure, he got to 'go home' during the holidays and spend them with his parents, but being shipped off to live in the dorms for most of his life? It felt as if he missed out on a lot. He doesn't like to talk about the bad stuff, though, because what's the point of a rich boy crying about the great education he received and the privileges that came with it?

Now, that's not to say it was all bad! His grandmother (before she retired) was one of his teachers, and boy did she spoil him rotten; he'd be slipped sweets, books and money, and she'd take him down to the nearby orchards and stables to show him the wonder of nature every weekend. Honestly, that's how his love of animals came about, and as he grew older, the more chances he got to interact with the farm animals. From egg collecting to herding, to shearing sheep to helping cows give birth, Samuel was taught many a thing by the farmers around him, and he grew to respect both them and their trade greatly.

His decision to move to Snowbrush wasn't all that supported by his father, however? He didn't care too much. At age 21, he moved into the village and he hasn't looked back once. He's content, and honestly, that's all that matters.

Violet was the youngest of three children in her household, and by far the shyest. She was always the quiet type; she enjoyed tranquility and reading over loud games or yelling. When she graduated from high school, she chose to go for archiving and documentation studies. Her parents offered her a small but homely house by the forest when she said she wanted to come back home to Snowbrush, as opposed to her siblings who left to move to the city as quickly as they could. The parents sold the family home and moved south where the weather was warmer for their retirement. Violet still keeps in touch with them regularly, along with her siblings. She was offered a job at the library by the mayor and has been incredibly thankful for it, since it was what she hoped for when she decided she wanted to settle here in the village. She had always loved books and was proud to take care of the village's records; Snowbrush's marks in History. She spent so much time at the library in her childhood that it soon felt like her second home. She has been back for a few years now, but still has trouble working up the nerve to approach people despite knowing them for a long time.
