Answered Snow in Dark Mode?

Am I missing something? In dark mode only it is... snowing? It's cute but also kind of distracting. Is there a way to turn it off?

EDIT: Already found where to turn it off. Ignore this... but when was this feature added?

You didn't get a little box at the top of the site? I got a little box popup that explained there was an option to turn it off when customizing the theme of the site.
