View attachment 556111Jasper's gentle voice felt akin to a warmth reaching out to her through darkness; she felt as if she'd let him down, but Jasper's sweet tone suggested that he did not feel she had, despite the pain and anger she had caused him. In fact, it suggested that he even forgave her, just like that. The tone, the volume, the sincerity, it all was far too authentic to dismiss as something he just said for her sake. His touch, which made her eyes meet his after a bit of shameful avoidance that she realized quickly she couldn't possibly keep up in this situation, so close to him like this. The sincerity in his gaze, his wince at seeing the expression on her face, and every word he spoke made the guilt, shame and self-loathing fade away, a warmth spreading until all that remained in her chest was her affection for the man in front of her, stronger than ever before. His last two sentences caused her eyes to widen, her face flushing. She found herself wondering if he was really confessing to her, until his next actions made it clear. The moment her lips met his, she found herself instinctively kissing him back, wordlessly requiting his affection in the same way he had let it be known that, indeed, as he said after breaking the kiss, all the flirting had come from a place of real attraction just as it had with her.

She found herself smiling back at him after that utterly electric locking of lips after a second of looking stunned and wondering if it was real; it didn't take very long to realize it felt far too real to be a dream. Her cheeks, even the facial scales speckled over them as flushed as can be, Xaira nodded as he asked her for one more confirmation that her feelings were genuine. All she could do was nod shyly, and his words in return made her heart feel even warmer if that was at all possible.

Xaira found herself just staring into his eyes for a few moments before she was finally able to speak. "God, Jasper... I... I feel like the luckiest woman in the world right now, that'd you'd even try to date a living mess like me." She then found herself grinning a bit, already back to her usual self after such an invigorating kiss and confession. "You're right, though... we've just gotta work on it. And I'll give it my all." She found herself leaning in for one more quick peck on the lips, before standing up, a little shakily. "Come on, lemme help you go get some ice or something. You don't think you'll need to go back to the infirmary, do you?" More concern showed in her eyes as she reached down to, very carefully, lift and support him by his non-injured arm.

At first, Aquielle was a little surprised by the beastkins lack of fluency in his speech, perhaps he was a little new to modern society like she was. The thought made her smile briefly as she quietly listened to him speak. Fortunately her transition from olden english to modern linguistics had been smooth sailing, she was sure he would adapt with time. He seemed to have enjoyed the meat he had quickly devoured, as he courteously closed the lid of the smelly container. "Not to worry, seeing as it was reported as a success, I'm sure you achieved more than you think." She smiled re-assuredly.

Just after her reply, a sudden cloud of blue smoke seemed to visualize from his burp, which was politely covered with his hand. "Are you okay?!" She asked frantically, panicking over the possibility that it may be a reaction to the poorly preserved slabs of meat. She couldn't believe she just watched and stood by as he ate something that spelt his death by blue clouds, Aqua knew she should have stopped him! Flabbergasted, she just realized her hand was shook and he had introduced himself, whilst promptly leaving the scene, to the infirmary she hoped. Snapping out of her shock, she hurriedly chased after the beastkin, accidentally brushing past a pretty red demoness. Mouthing an apology quickly before continuing, she called after her new acquantaince. "Wait Brass, I'll come too!"

With a hand on his shoulder in case he needed steadying, she looked him over carefully, not minding the trail of blue smoke from his mouth. "Do you feel dizzy at all?" She asked with visible concern obvious in her expression.

Some strange elderly person wandered into the room that she hadn't seen before, briefly spending some time to scare the eldritch child, which did bring a smile to Sang's face, and made his way towards her.

Sang gave the strange-looking old man a glare as he tapped her cast, giving her a little reminder of her crippled leg in the form of a small ting of pain, but said nothing at his suggestion of returning to the infirmary once more, finding it a reasonable enough recommendation that she wouldn't give him some spiteful words floating in her mind.

Instead, the demoness watched her conversation with the newcomer disappear before they'd exchanged names, picked up her crutch and with great difficulty, stood up, before hobbling past the selection of newcomers out the door, contemplating stopping by at the gym to work on her upper body strength given that her leg wasn't exactly capable of much at the moment.

A large owl-creature wandered past her, in which she simply gave it an amicable nod as they went their seperate ways until she arrived at the infirmary, knocked, and made her way inside.

The meeting went on longer than Caddy would have liked. They took a look at his anklet for any damages, assessed the few artifacts he had brought back, and listened to a short verbal report from Si-woo stating that Caddy was (at the very least) a good boy on the mission. Caddy tried to crack a joke every now and again to break the tension, but was always silenced by a stern look from his superiors.
"Do I get a lollipop and a sticker after this?" he snickered, ignoring the disapproving glances this received before being dismissed.

He hadn't had a ton of time at HQ before being thrust into his first mission and was curious to see what the place had to offer. He passed by the barracks and grimaced at the shared sleeping quarters (at least in prison he would have only had one roommate) before moving down towards the gym. He peeked in and was not so surprised to see it mostly empty minus two agents that Caddy had lovingly dubbed "Sparkles" and "Smaug": on account that he had no idea what their names actually were. He was going to shout a greeting until he took a whiff of the room: there was a strong scent of salt, sweat, and increased sexual tension. Caddy sniffed, pursed his lips shut, and dipped back out into the hall before he rudely interrupts anything.

Back in the safety of SMITED's hallway, he started to make his way towards the common room. There's a hope that he'll find something fun to do. Lucky for him, he didn't even need to round the corner before a huge puff of blue smoke blocked his line of sight. The smell of it hit Caddy hard in the face: magick-y, very magick-y, with a hint of processed-lunch meat and...wet dog? Ew. The man squinted through the smoke to see what the hell that awful smell was coming from and flinches at the sight of a large figure lumbering towards him. Stepping out of the way just in time revealed the wolf-like beast ( Thatguynameded Thatguynameded ) that had shown up late last mission and a green-haired girl Caddy didn't know ( VioletShadow VioletShadow ) stumbling through the smog after him.

Caddy raised his brows at the scene and watched as a trail of blue smoke followed after the two. He looked back the common room, weighed his options, and shrugged to no one in particular as he calmly walked after them.
"Hey." He called after the girl, taking long strides to catch up.
"Did someone poison our dog?"

A pair of goggles with dark lens rest around his neck, a finger curled around them idly as the wearer peers out of the window of the 'car'. Mechanical monstrosity it might be, he'll never say they aren't useful. Though... the sheer amount of clear green forest is staggering. Even with all the damage being done to the oceans, the scale of seemingly thriving life up on the surface world is... humbling for him to witness. The number of different plants as well makes his imagination go wild, lips twitching in mild excitement. Odd, murky green eyes peer out, gleaming with the light above that makes him squint as it breaks through the canopy of leaves up above. Sharp, strong features define him, with narrow eyes and pale skin to match, but with a curiosity on his flesh; peculiar markings reach up against the sides of his neck from his chest, disappearing up into his short deep grey hair. Wearing simple, loose, comfortable clothes in the form of a loose v-neck t-shirt and a pair of loose shorts, he fidgets in the back of the car, a hand itching at the seat belt with a flicker of discomfort flashing across his face.

As the car pulls up alongside the only building he's seen in a good whiiiiiiiile, he looks to the driver who peers at the grey-haired man through the rear-view mirror. "Your stop." He explains in a simple tone, as if having done thing too many times to care anymore. With but a nod, he pushes himself out of the car with a heave-

At least, he would've, had the seat belt not still been clipped in. Jerked back into place with a sudden tug, the grey-haired man's cheeks tint pink as he struggles with the belt for a few brief moments, the driver's lips twitching in dry amusement for a brief second. As he frees himself, with rucksack in hand, he shuts the door with a quiet huff. As the car pulls off, the grey-haired man looks up at the building with cautious eyes. He takes a tentative breath before walking up towards the entrance. The markings on his neck seem to reach even his arms, on closer inspection, wrapping around his forearm like a coiling snake up towards his wrist, where it seemingly fades out.

Seemingly taking his sweet time in making his way to the Barracks, it takes him more then a few times to find the right doors. When he walks through them, it's a measured approach, pushing the doors open, sliding it, and clicking them shut once more without much fanfare. He's pulled the dark goggles over his eyes, at some point before he entered the room, and now looks around slowly for several moments, walking deeper into the lion's nest, mute.

Standing at a height over the six foot mark, he's quite a well built fellow; strong, defined muscle is clear on his informal clothes as he casually glances around, eyeing those who still remain, if any do.

"... hmph."

kirill-png.556866

The half-demon had started his workout routine in the meanwhile, a number of thoughts running through his mind, a rarity for someone who was at the very least generally regarded as a mindless creature. Two had left him already and another presence had reared its head into the room only so far as to discern its contents before leaving once again.

Kirill found himself... dissappointed by this, oddly enough. He'd gotten used to not expecting much from people in his past as a slave and a gang member, though as it had turned out, as much as things had changed the more they'd stayed the same. Ordinarily, he would be unsure with how to deal with such a situation, emotions in general were something he had difficulty dealing with.

Thankfully, he found himself to be in his element, lacking support or even acknowledgement from his colleagues or possible teammates or even possible teammates, the half-demon instead focused on improving himself so he would hopefully never have to come to rely on them instead. He continued to push himself, repetition after repetition and set after set.

Even as his sweat pooled into drops and dripped down his features onto the training mat below, even as his limbs felt as if they were being weighed down by cinderblocks and the blood in his veins had turned to battery acid, he continued to push. All the way up to his inevitable breaking point and failure. Finally, he collapsed, first falling to a knee on the gym floor before rolling over onto his back.

Kirill's chest heaved as he struggled to catch each and every one of his breaths, audibly huffing as his breath had been rendered hot and heavy, to the point where he felt as if he was breathing smoke. He was sweating heavily, to the point where he would not be surprised if he'd end up leaving behind a silhouette of himself if he continued to lie there, for the moment however, he saw little reason to worry about that, instead allowing himself to recover.

Brass_Ruud (1).png
Brass slows down for Aquialla and as she puts her hand on his shoulder his stomach bubbles up again. Now hes not completely sure if its the meat thats making his stomach twist or if its what his brother mentioned. He will have to find out once the meat situation is taken care of. "no dizzy, stomach bubbling stomach light but heavy". Holding in a burp he manages to ask with out blowing smoke "what is name?". He can see shes worried but hes trying to look as calm as possible. This is not the first time he had to deal with something he had eaten but its also a first for eating something magical. The Pack had an older sage wolf but he did not use magic, but of things picked off from the land.

Brass hears another voice following behind the cloud of smoke he left behind, it was a man he seen during the mission but didn't know the name of. In between his stomach twisting and leaving a trail of smoke, he realized he has not learned a single name of a team mate, well except for Aquialla. As he is about to speak he begins to billow smoke like a factory powered by blue coal. This time he is a bit more worried and begins to walk faster.

Once inside the infirmary a woman spoke to him, he had no idea what she said or if she was even human, it sounded like English but it also didn't. He was pulled into the room to what seem like a doctor. The doctor was the same, he didn't understand a single word except for smoke. Confused, he says "what?" and a large puff of blue smoke shoots from his mouth. Quickly covering his mouth he puts his hands over his jaw to keep the smoke from leaking out.

Jasper allowed Xaira to help him to his feet, wincing slightly, but the pain was fading under the influence of the pills he had taken earlier.

"Thanks Red," he said, grinning at Xaira. "I should be fine without another trip to the infirmary. But, I think my running for the day is done."

He reached down to rub the spot where Xaira's tail had hit his leg. Yep, he was going to have a bruise there. Best to head back into the gym and put a cold pack on it

"Help me inside?" he asked. "I need to ice this spot, then we can go back to the barracks and, discuss ways of passing the time."

Xaira helped Jasper through the door back down to the main body of the gym, but he froze as they entered. The new guy who Xaira had agreed to show to the gym lay flat on his back in a puddle of his own sweat, obviously gaping for air. Kyril, Kiryl... Kirill, that was it.

"Damn man!" Jasper exclaimed, hobbling over to the prone, demon? "You going to live, or does Xaira need to get you to the infirmary?"

The man takes a deep breath.

This is going to be greeeeeeeeat.

He makes his way into the building deeper still, still with his rucksack held over broad shoulders with one hand, dark goggles thankfully repelling the light. He is silent as he explores the building, seemingly looking for something in particular. By some miracle or unfortunate coincidence, he fails to find even a single living, breathing work mate along his little adventure! He wanders around, almost aimlessly, until he finally finds here he was looking for; the infirmary. Best to get himself checked over for a basic medical review on-site before setting up in the Barracks...

Pushing the doors open, he marches in... and comes face to face with a seeming majority of his ow 'team'; two red-skinned demons, an over-sized mongrel with smoke pouring out of its mouth, aaaaand... a youthful girl with blue-green hair, not unlike the colour of the ocean in the Tropics. His brows rise at the sight. Idly, he thinks she, and the two demons, look rather... exotic, and yet, familiar to look upon' they are certainly beautiful creatures, even among the ocean's population. He hums under his breath for a moment, walking forwards. His accent, an unfamiliar one at that that seems a mixture of British and Greek, is fairly deep and his voice is as well, though, he speaks in a controlled, professional manner to those present in the Infirmary.

"... are all of you part of the 'team' I'm joining then?" He calls out in a curious tone, his eyes glancing between each person behind his black goggles. Though they dull the colours, he can't help but note how colourful everything is up here, how colourful the people are; it's like being deep in the ocean again, watching the cuttlefish hunt...

For a moment, Aquielle felt a little relieved that he wasn't feeling dizzy. She wasn't certain she'd be able to support his hefty build, despite her training. She was a little surprised by his sudden question, but quickly realized how she had forgotten to introduce herself. "Oh, my name is Aquielle. But you can just call me Aqua." She smiled briefly, before peering behind her to the crowd of followers that had gathered. "I think he ate something he shouldn't have, I hope it wasn't poisonous." She replied hurriedly, her attention momentarily diverted by one of the figures catching up to them. He appeared relatively human with silver eyes, but something told her he wasn't what he seemed.

Bringing her attention back to Brass, she couldn't help but pinch her nose for a bit to avoid breathing in too deeply. As much as she had adjusted to the stench from the meat, the fact that it was surrounding her in a blue cloud made her feel sick to her stomach. Despite turning a little pale, she pressed on, unwilling to just stand by as a fellow agent was suffering, partially due to her neglience.

As they entered the infirmary, a nurse and a doctor hurriedly took care of the beastkin with blue smoke billowing out of his hand-covered mouth. It seemed he had trouble understanding what was being asked or said, hence Aquielle covered for him and explained the situation. It was pretty crowded in the infirmary, particularly with the new addition. This male had gill-like features on him, similar to her. Although they were in more conspicuous areas, hence she deducted she had not found another of her brethren. Although a little disappointed, she replyed to him as politely as usual, with Brass being taken care of by the staff. "I would think so." She eyed him curiously. "I apologize if this is rude, but may I ask your race?"

Yayi_Nuha.pngThe nurse was tsking over Brass's condition as Sang knocked on the door and entered. A nurse at the infirmary desk greeted her which suspiciously looked exactly like the nurse who was attending Brass, though Sang wouldn't know this as they had already moved to a private clinic room. "What be the problem muh dear? Are ya in pain from ta injury still? Did tey no 'ive ya pain medication fo' it?" The woman leaned over the desk slightly, motioning for Sang to get closer and then pointed for her to stick her ID badge in a ID reader device to access medical records to see if pain medication had been prescribed.

She halted Caddigan as he followed after the wolf and kelpiekin. "There be no mo' room or need of ya in tere wif dem others and ya no look ill."

Then another agent appeared and the woman frowned sternly. "Dis no be a socializin' spot! If ya no be sick no injured then ya no need ta be here." She points directly at Donald, "What be yer bidnuss 'here?" Then she points to Caddigan and Qerres, "And you two?"

The nurse who was tending to Brass tsked over the kelpiekin being a busybody. "Muh dear, no need ta fuss so. Tis no' ta first time da mawn's prank gone wrong." When Brass opened his mouth to speak and more blue smoke flowed out the women shook her head. "Yer gonna 'ave to open yer maw," she said slowly, turning to grab some gloves and putting them over her hands. She grabbed a glass vial and quickly swiped it so some of the blue smoke was contained within it before putting in a cork stopper. She glared at it for a moment, shook the vial a few times and imbued some magic into it which caused it to become fluorescent.

"Figures ta mawn used tat powda," she nurse grumbles, tossing the vial into a bin marked for magical disposal. She sighed and pressed her hand against Brass's stomach firmly. "Yer gon' 'ave to 'old still." Her hand then seemed to go inside of his body, which would cause some discomfort, but not really any pain to Brass. She shifted her hand around slightly and then tugged it out along with the smoking meat he had eaten earlier, tossing the goopy partially digested meat into a magical waste bag and throwing it where she had tossed the vial.

"You gon' still be burpin' ta blueness from any bit I may uv missed, but it won' last more than a few more hours. Drink plenty of watur today an tomorrow. If ya still be smokin' blue ta day afta tomorrow come back 'ere and see me. Oh and neva eat somethin' layin' around unless it be in a sealed package. Tat ol mawn had a ting for food pranks."

The nurse ushers Brass out, but not before having him insert his ID badge into a reader for medical paperwork to add to his file.

The man watches the drama unfold, perking a brow at the state of the bipedal wolf with a quiet hum, mute... until approached by the brightly-haired female. He peers down at her stoically, tilting his head at her specific question. He inspects her slowly, from head to toe and back up again, slowly replying in an almost cautious tone. "Ichthyo sapien. We're deep sea dwellers. And you are..?" He trails off, awaiting an answer from her now concerning her own species. He looks to the annoyed looking agent, his professional and straight-forward tone coming out once more.

"If you say so nurse." Aqua gave a little sheepish smile, reflecting on her actions a little. Perhaps she overreacted. As the lady troll began treating Brass, in ways she would rather not be there to watch, Aqua headed back to the general infirmary where she conversed with the Ichthyo sapien. "Interesting. I'm a Kelpiekin, we dwell both under the sea and on islands, although I am in a clan of the latter." Aquielle replied curiously. A mix of uneasiness due to his stoic staring and her nauseousness from the blue smoke bubbled up in her stomach, but she decided against sitting down. She shouldn't really be here in the first place. Idly waiting to hear news of Brass, she watched the conversation between the annoyed nurse and the others in the room. Her thoughts wondered to if it would be better for her to leave the crowded room, but her worried nature got the best of her.

As Q sauntered after the flaming dog, another girl swooshed right past her. Hard to miss her, really, with the bright locks. When she looked her way, Qerres gave her a lopsided grin and a casual wave. It reminded her of a moment in her youth. She'd done the hairdying as we- ... well. More likely this girl's hair was natural. She kept her leisurely pace as she trailed behind, seeing yet another face pop up amidst the now growing group. He didn't seem to notice her large figure though, so she kept quiet.

When the wolfman also seemed oblivious to her presence, she decided to have a bit of fun with it. It wasn't often she wasn't noticed in a group such as this. In an entirely different situation, she could make herself blend in depending on her ensemble, but this was not one of those situations. She tried to shuffle herself around the door of the infirmary. Standing behind it, a shroud of shadow covered her as she peered at Brass and the nurse. Aquielle was likely able to see the bulky woman shuffle behind the door, but perhaps the fishman missed it barely.

All that was visible to brass was a wide set of fanged teeth, forming a wide grin as she wiggled her eyebrows. She was trying to be intimidating. If it worked? Well, likely not. It was obvious she was just having too much fun with it. And she was most certainly planning on scaring the next person to enter after.

"And you two?"

Her form straightened from its usual slight slumping position. "Uh-. I'm just... here havin' some fun sweetcheeks." She gave a stupid cheesy wink, as she sighed immediately after. "So I can't stay and spook new arrivals?"

Having Aquielle translate for him helped the the confused beast. This time he understood what the blue nurse said and opened his jaw as wide as possible. A large blue cloud of magic flowed out of his mouth like a newly lit camp fire. He watched as she swiped at the smoke and did something with it, wasn't sure what but its not his job to understand what was happening. Then she said something he couldn't understand, his new friend that could translate had been moved out the room. Suddenly he felt his stomach feel even stranger, not the bubbles or when he met Aquielle. Looking down brass was about to freak out until the nurse pulled her hand out of his stomach and had a goop and chunks of blue smoking meat. His stomach felt better but still had some bubbles, once escorted out of the room Brass sees the room is completely crowded.

He see Aquielle talking to a person he hasn't seen before, he looked like a fish man to brass, he sees the red woman, and another red woman? Brass was unsure which red woman he had helped previously until he looked down and noticed the cast on one of them. First red woman he thought, he really needs to learn everyone's names. He sees a blue woman that looks exactly like the blue woman that had just helped him. Now hes confused, he looks back to the room he was just helped in and looks back to the woman. He decides to just walk away before he becomes completely stumped, He taps Aquiella on the shoulder and says "better, we leave". He looks at the fish man and decides this should be his best opportunity to learn the name of another member. Putting out his large hand he said "name is brass, hello".

Seeing that the nurse is keeping everyone from entering brass walks to the group and says "thanks blue woman, stomach good now, brass leave, people in". He tells every one "making excuses, brass pass, Police?" while trying to walk by everyone. His brother had also told him manors also include excusing your self when you leave and telling people police when your being polite. He doesn't know why people make up lies for the large buildings, but police make perfect since to him. You need people to protect your home after all. Walking past everyone he hears a sound and turns and sees a face, it looked like a predator to him. He slightly jumps being startled and his lip trembles in prep to fight a wild beast.

His eyes adjust and sees that its the other red woman. He lightly sneezes (dogs do this when they are showing that they are playing around) and chuckles, Just like home. He leans in and sniffs at Qerres, shes not of his kind but has the same games. "other red woman, what pack? no pack?" He notices he has her slightly cornered and backs up. "other red follow, many people". He thinks this was a good example of making excuses because a cornered animal is a mean animal. Then it hit him, another name to learn, he points to himself "Brass, whats name other red woman".

"Island-folk... none too different then my own kind's circumstance." He begrudgingly admits to the Kelpiekin, offering a polite nod to the staff, simply doing their jobs to focus on those wounded and such. So, he moves out of the way to better talk with one whom he might be able to relate to. His brows rise as he spots, out of the corner of his eye, the large red-skinned creature. He turns his head, eyes hidden behind the goggles, but inspecting the form of the demon. A missing horn, eyes as dark as the depths, muscle and curves in fair measure... not unlike his northern cousins who hunt with the Orca. He smiles very slightly to the demon, offering a very faint nod to her before moving along with the talking Aquielle, turning his head back to her after a moment of looking on at the demoness.

"So, you become a water horse when you swim?" He asks bluntly, taking a seat with her away from the 'action' that goes on for the mongrel's situation. However, the situation only seems to follow as the smelly creature wanders on over to tap the woman for her attention, followed with some primitive words. Hm. It's like a child... he blinks as the wolf-creature offers it's overly large hand to the 'human' man. Eyes narrowing in mild disgust under his dark goggles, eyes hidden from view through the lenses, he takes the hand in a firm grasp, offering a sharp nod. "Don." He says shortly before releasing his hand. ( DapperCat DapperCat VioletShadow VioletShadow )

Aquielles attention was piqued as she watched the red demoness hide behind the door to the room Brass was currently in. She eyed the pretty and thicc lady curiously, as she shrouded herself in shadow for a prank of some sort. A small smirk formed on her lips, amused by the situation after realizing she meant no harm. However, just as quickly as she organised her prank, she was talked out of it by the wary nurse. After chuckling at the scene light-heartedly, Aquielle smiled at the sight of Brass walking out of his infirmary room. For a moment, he went back in, confusing her for a bit, but he quickly re-entered and informed her that he was feeling well again. "That's good to hear. Ah, are we heading back to the common room?" She inquired, tilting her head to one side.

Getting up to leave alongside her new beastkin acquaintance, Aquielle corrected him with a chuckle, before he got spooped by the red demoness from earlier. "I think you meant 'please', not police." With her attention back on the ocean-dweller, she finally responded. "Sorry about that, just had to clarify a few things." She smiled with a small nod of apology, deciding to continue their conversation before she was driven to return to the common room. "Hmm, not quite. I can transform at will, but doing so would render me useless on land. Direct contact with water would not force me into my other form or anything." She explained looking him curiously in the eye. It was amazing how she had met someone who seemed similar racially, yet still very different, that wasn't of the merfolk. "May I ask what those black marks are on your neck?" She asked without a hint of malice, purely inquisitive in her tone.

Kirill simply lingered on the floor, motionless except for his heaving chest. His breathing remained shallow and struggled and the half-demon had very little in the way of a response for Jasper's question, at least initially. His brows did knit however, sinking briefly before he casts a glance in both his and Xaira's direction, shifting his weight to his left in order to flop to lay on his side, supporting himself with one of his elbows whilst his hand reached up to swat his earbuds away.

"Uh, what..?" Kirill went onto ask, appearing puzzled, it did seem that he caught Jasper's inquiry at least partially, however as he quickly went onto say. "Oh, nah. Never worked out until failure before? Shit's rough." The half-demon explained, briefly glancing over as indeed, his sweat had pooled down onto the mat behind him, making for a rather characteristic silhouette of Kirill's burly self. Working out until failure was one thing, but this seemed a tad excessive.

"Not somethin' you wanna be doin' every day, but I heard... or read somethin' about it helpin' you to build and maintain muscle." The half-demon went onto roll his shoulders in a careless shrug. "'Least it seems to work for me, at any rate.". Kirill's confusion lingered however, and it carried over to his expression as his gaze bounced between Xaira and Jasper alike in a somewhat suspicious manner. "Did you two need somethin'?" Like the Dhampir that had poked his head into the room earlier, he was not immune to the tension between the pair.

As a result, their approach worried him. He wasn't about to be solicited into a weird devil's threesome sort of thing again, right..? Kirill then pushed himself up to a stand. It was a wobbly effort, initially. However it did not take long for the half-demon to attain his usual tall and stable stature. He glanced briefly in the way of the door and then around the gym in search of a towel, hoping to dry himself off some, well that and in possible preparation for a swift escape out of the room should things turn as awkward as he'd feared.

The man winces faintly at the amount of noise and activity, looking mildly uncomfortable for a few brief moments. Shoving a hand into his pocket, he stands there quietly, his attention on the curious little creature before him. Tilting his head at Aquielle, he shrugs aside her apology without comment, simply moving with her casually, paying attention to her and listening to her every word. Despite the dark lenses of the goggles utterly hiding his eyes from view, he meets her gaze fully, unblinking. At her question, he raises his hand out of his pocket to run a finger along one of the dark, wide lines that run down his neck.

Qerres couldn't help but burst out into laughter as the large bestial jumped ever so slightly at her shadow-drenched form. The gleaming, slightly yellowed chompers broadened even further as she stepped out as soon as he allowed her.

She stopped midway though as a fuzzy snout went into her field of view, sniffing her from up close. She allowed him without a fuss. Perhaps it was insulting to compare the man to a dog, but she'd trained dogs for a while and she just couldn't help the similarities in him sniffing her. Thus she lifted one of her hands, palm upwards as she held her wrist limp. Holding it a fair amount below his snout, so he could sniff her hand if he so wished.

"Pack? Uh, nope. Jus' little old me."

Immediately after he called for her to follow. She stuffed her hands deep into the pockets of her sweats, assuming a slightly slouched form as she trailed behind a little ways away. She didn't have anything better to do. She didn't feel like working out, instead prioritizing getting to know some of the faces in the building. It would, she hoped, prove useful for missions. Even more useful for other means.

"Brass, what's name other red woman?"

The manwolf pointed to his own fuzzy chest. She gave him a smile as she kept up behind him and the two others that seemed to have joined. "Qerres. Q is fine though for comfort's sake. Brass. Nice t' meetcha luv. And th' other two here?" Her head gave a little nod to the odd-color-haired young couple. "Don't get too smoochy on me though you two, I may barf." She snickered. Clearly she'd gotten the wrong impression.

After approximately eight minutes of quiet whimpering and sobbing under the table, the eldritch entity slithered out and gazed across the room, spotting an absence of people previously present.

How disappointing; if Quinn remembered right, new individuals have appeared earlier. It'd be nice to meet them, but she was too busy fussing over her cheeks, which were still stinging from that old devil's grasp. Quinn pouted as it stood up.

The eldritch horror walked across the hallways, casually exploring, but being bored by the ordinary topology and layout. It'd already committed most of the non-restricted rooms to memory, and had rough ideas of the placement of the other ones. She also knew the network of ventilation ducts, having explored them when first joining, which set off the alarm and got her quite the lecture from her supervisor. Still, the ducts felt instinctive to her; they weren't too different of a system when compared to the underwater tunnels of the Devil's Reef.

But they were inaccessible, so...

What do? Sneak into the library's forbidden section? Ask the nurse if she can have some chloral hydrate? Hunt for rodents and insects to consume? If only she could find those newbies... Quinn wished she could remember and track smells; curse you, lack of olfactory prowess! She jotted that down - mentally - as the goal of her next metamorphosis.

That, or razor-sharp crab pincers. Tough pick, really.

Absentmindedly drawn towards moisture, Quinn made its way into the gym and witnessed an exchange between the red-haired dragon (Apparently reptiles, can fly, are very weird; breathe fire. Species may be related to Uncle Cthulhu. Cousins?), an injured Jasper (Smells like strength and internal bleeding, but also like hair gel; or was it 'looks?') and a third, unidentified person.

An unidentified person. In other words, a new person...

How exxxciting! Time for an introduction!

Quinn ran at ten meters per second, almost tackling Kirill to the ground as she took his hand and shook it (assuming she didn't get karate-chopped by him before she could do so,) and shook it with the eagerness of an underpaid intern talking to their manager about a possible raise. Before he could speak or react, (again, assuming she did not get pummeled with ten kilonewtons of punching force,) she spat out the words, "HelloI'mQuinnJohnsonandyoumustbenewherehuh? It'sapleasuretomeetyoufriendlet'sgetalongokay~!?"

AN: Top kek. Bit of a longer post. If you want to skip right to the meat of the action, start from "Absentmindedly drawn towards moisture," aka the fourth paragraph from below.

You two? Caddy blinks, turning his head to see a demon-woman standing relatively close by. Geez, another one? Now Caddy has to think of two fun nicknames instead of just the one.
"My business?" Caddy repeats to the nurse, placing a dainty hand over his chest in mock-offense.
"My good woman! That's my dog in there! I'm just here to make sure he's doing alright!" He stands on his tippy-toes and peers over into the room.

"Give me the bad news, doc! Is my ol' boy doing alright? Do we gotta' take him out back? Help him cross the rainbow bridge to that big dog park in the sky? I've seen Old Yeller! I know how this ends! All this waiting and for what-oh. Oh, you're alive." Caddy says as Brass lumbered back to the entrance, immediately dropping the act. As the wolfkin chatted with Qerres, Caddy leaned in to a.) give the big guy a pat on his fluffy shoulder and b.) lean in a little closer to the nurse who had been previously blocking his way.

"I want to thank you for everything you've done for me and my boy." Caddy sniffs, giving Brass a few good pats for good measure.
"It's just been so hard ever since his mother has passed...to raise a boy on your own..." He sighs, wipes an invisible tear from his eye, and immediately switches gears with a cheeky smirk.
"Anyways, you doing anything after this?"

Sang ID.png"Ah.. Yes, my leg is a tad sore still, and I don't believe I got anything to numb the pain. Some old man, a doctor I presume, I met earlier told me there might be something to help?" Sang said softly to the orc, seemingly lacking a bit of her arrogance considering the woman had seen her yowling in pain when she'd woken up. "... And uh... Sorry for scratching you, I wasn't in the best state of mind." she frowned, averting her eyes as she confessed the little incident.

The presence of several sounds was noticed by Sang, most notably being the sound of what could only be described as hiccups, as she gazed passively at the closed door while leaning forward to scan her ID on the reader, giving the first bashful and polite smile the world had seen in years from the demon.

"There a few people in there?" Lady Red asked quietly to the orc woman as she waited for her details to be validated, gazing around the room to see a few others, one of which being the demon she'd met earlier and been rather brusque to, whom she gave the same amicable nod she'd given to the owl before turning to face the desk once more, crutch under one arm with her other resting on the table, leaning on her walking aid.

She briefly remembered noticing the half-demon that stood in the room and simply watched as the dhampir smooth-talked his way into the room with the noises, referring to some sort of dog as he passed. Sang never knew pets were allowed, not that she had one, which brought the idea of getting one at some point to her mind.

"Oh, that dog." she chuckled to herself as the wolf-man casually strolled out. "Thanks for saving me, by the way." she said quietly to the beast-folk as he passed by her and made his way out, remembering faintly that he'd been one of the two that'd helped recover her, the other being Quinn, whom she supposed also deserved her thanks, not that he'd understand why, she expected.

the wolf was swiftly followed by a selection of others, including a merfolk man and someone with rather eccentric hair, whom she simply gave a soft smile as they made their way back to the entry-way

"So then, about those pain-killers?"

Kirill was assaulted, set upon from all sides. His misinterpretation behind the reasoning for the couple's approach was awkward enough on its own, his discomfort only grew as a new person or well, technically thing entered the room, not that he could really tell the difference. "Uh-" was all the response the half-demon managed to muster.

And it was the very same dull, clueless groan that served seemed to serve as the trigger for Quinn's approach. The creature was most fortunate that Kirill had just gotten his workout session over with, and had pushed his body to the point of failure, rendering his movements slow and deliberate, as a result, he couldn't muster much of a reaction to Quinn's approach.

The sheer difference in mass between the pair was almost immediately apparent as the eldritch horror made contact with the half-demon, most likely meeting his sturdy figure with a firm, somewhat loud, and on account of the sheer density of sweat Kirill was coated in, wet smack that reverberated throughout the gym.

That did not seem to discourage the creature one bit however, as it went onto latch its hand, or more likely hands around one of Kirill's palms, which while exceptionally large were at least somewhat proportionate as far as his own body was concerned. The weight of his thick, treetrunk arm flopped around lazily as his hand was shaken, yet again, the only response the half-demon was able to muster was another, longer, vaguely alarmed: "Uhhh-".

He'd honestly yearned for social interaction but moments earlier, and that fact hadn't changed. However being approached not by one, or two, but a whole group of people kicked his fight or flight, or in this case, socially engage or distance - sense into overdrive. Fairly neanderthalic in his own right as is, it did not take much for the half-demon to regress to the state of a caveman, his overwhelmed mind managing a less than graceful response.

"Kirill. Hi. Shower. Now." He managed to out before pulling his hand out of Quinn's grasp and allowing his arm to flop against his side. Kirill then swiftly shuffled his way over toward the shower, his large palm settling on the handle of the door before pressing it down. It was only then, however, that his golden gaze found its way to the sign hung up beside said door, its message clear. This was the entrance to the women's half of the showers.

The half-demon stood there for an awkwardly long while, head hung low as he contemplated his options. He'd already said he was going to shower, and he'd even pulled the handle, he was committed. Swallowing hard, Kirill turns his head back over his shoulder to look at the group. In his mind it had only been a short moment but in the real world, he'd been standing there with the handle to the women's shower/locker room in his grasp for the better part of ten seconds in heavy silence.

"Wrong door." He states dryly before making a swift escape to the men's side, slamming the door behind him. Moments later, he was stood under the stream of the shower, leaning forward against the wall with his head hung low as, mumbling to himself. "I fucked up.".

Nurse says GTFO

Infirmary Nurse #2 | ( Myriad Myriad DapperCat DapperCat )
The pale sea-green troll looked at the Icthyo Sapien who was apparently here to see if he needed a medical check. "Yer last check wudda been fine, unless ya waunt ta'nother today. You'll 'ave ta schedule an appointment fo dat." Her golden eye then turned to the burly demoness who proclaimed her reason for being here for personal amusement as well as calling her 'sweetcheeks.' "As ya 'ave be 'aving no bidness here ta awnswer be no, unless ya waunt me to be givin' ya a reason ta need a nurse. Are ya up ta date on yer inoculations?"

The moment the nurse who had been treating Brass sat down at her desk, the form shimmered and then seemed to zip into the other's body, leaving only one nurse now.

Infirmary Nurse #1 | ( VioletShadow VioletShadow Thatguynameded Thatguynameded baddervibes baddervibes Noble Scion Noble Scion )
The nurse said nothing as the kelpiekin left the room, clearly not wanting to be there for the process of pulling chunks of meat out of the stomach directly. The process had been quick enough which thankfully hadn't given the wolf folk time to react negatively to seeing a hand shoved into her person. She washed her hands quickly and followed him out to scan his ID card and then turned to sit behind the nurse's station to tap away at the keys on the computer to log the information for Brass's mishap.

"Dayum dat ol' mawn," she muttered under her breath after her duplicate merged back with her. Her eye twitches as the agents who had all wandered into the infirmary continued to gab on and on, causing her to stand up and slap her hands on the top of the nurse's station as Caddigan's annoyance was the final straw. "Get the gru'brahja outta my infirmary ya daft mawn! Dat goes for all ya straggler who be havin' no bidness in bein' 'ere! And you," Ya'yi points to Caddigan. "Ya sarcas'tac ass, dun tink I won't be sure ta inform ya probah'tion offa'cer ta give ya janitorial duties!"

With that she snaps her fingers and Caddigan gets teleported out of the infirmary and is falls... into the gym pool with a loud splash. "Anyone else waunt to annoy me will find demselves where he was sent. Now den, ya say ya be 'aving pain still? And an ol' mawn... spoke ta ya? He did no 'appen to have a devious presence, some tattoos, and beard? If that be who yer talkin' 'bout you shoudl forget whateva he said to ya. Dat mawn is noffin but a senile tricksta! As far as ta scratch, tis fine. I've 'ad worse 'appen from tings bigga den ya. Ignore da riffraff and follow afta me and I'l check yer leg."

The nurse split off once again and a duplicate stood and motioned for Sang to follow after her to a private room. When back in the room with the door closed, she instruct Sang to take a seat and extend her leg with the cast. "Dis gonna feel strange, like an odd pressa, but if it 'urt ya tell me." Just like what she did to Brass, her hand went through the cast and the flesh, seeming to poke around Sang's injured leg slowly. "I tink it no the injury but ta cast causing ya problems." She withdraws her hand and grabs a tool to carefully cut away the cast from Sang's leg. "Ta cast was just for support for da quick heal so it wouldn't 'ave to worry 'bout it healing wrongly."

With the cast gone all that was left of Sang's wounds was just a large scar where the flesh has been reattached to her leg, but other than that it was in perfect working order. "Just dun go off jumpin' off high buildin's cause da bone still might be a bit weak an ta muscle a bit fatigued. Does it feel better nao wit'out ta cast?"
