Calliea was annoyed. Nobody was listening to her and she just got fucking yelled at. She would have usually fought back but she could tell it wasn't the time to. She'll keep her mouth shut for now. "I'm fine. " She mumbled to the various people worried about her. And she was telling the truth, she barely felt the pain as it is. She did know that she was losing quite a lot of blood but nothing to be worried about. She shot a few more arrows at the monsters coming towards them and then went to follow orders. She looked at Lacily. The woman looked winded...that wall took a lot out of her. There was no way that she was going to be able to get them both out without carrying her. She bent down and looked at the agent in the eye.

"Ma'am to get out of here alive, we need to swim fast. Judging by the state you are in. That's not an option. I'm going to have to carry you. " She spoke carefully but fast. They didn't have much time left. Calliea then lifted her up. She wasn't fully carrying her, just enough so most of the weight of them both would be on her. It was a struggled to get swimming but once she did. She swam harder and faster. Her wounds stinging from the ocean waters. She only have one goal in mind at the moment. That was to get them the fuck away from that cavern.

Xaira was rushing over to Lacily the moment the woman had finished her shield as the Dragoness had been ordered to, but before she could even lay a finger on her to assist her escape, the Wolffolk she’d seen fighting earlier rushed past her, Sang already in tow, and grabbed Lacily with such blinding speed that Xaira had to take a second to process all that had just happened. She wasn’t sure about the safety of the newcomer’s method of helping the two worse-for-wear ladies escape, but getting them to the entrance so blindingly fast was likely good for them anyway, the Dragoness figured. The wolf looked like he had been pushing himself quite a lot, though… she hoped he would be okay; it was gonna be hard to lug him around no matter how strong you were, and there were critically injured people to worry about. Speaking of which, Xaira found herself spotting Jasper and moving to assist him before Si-Woo even barked the order. Why he thought he had to tell her that after her preoccupation with him this entire mission so far was beyond her.

As Xaira ran through the tunnel, Jasper on her back, she smiled as she thought of something. “You know, it’s funny that Si-Woo seems to think he has to tell me to make sure you get out of here safely. We have a lot of getting-to know-each other ahead of us, after all,” She teased. Even though her tone of voice was joking with a sultry edge to accentuate her words, the look on her face made it clear she’d been worried about him.

Not just him, either. Taking a momentary glance around and seeing how many of her teammates were critically injured or otherwise in a compromising position at the moment was pretty damn heart-rending to Xaira; if everyone’s lives were consistently threatened to this degree, how long would it be before- no! The Dragoness willed her mind away from that grisly train of thought to focus on getting Jasper and herself the fuck out of here, relieved to see that all around her, everyone still able-bodied were working in their own ways to make sure everyone got out of here alive. Xaira was partly frustrated that whatever these ravenous and numerous creatures were had ensured that the team couldn’t stick around to discover more of the secrets these ruins held. After all, there had to be so much more; the place was vast after all, and surprisingly well kept.

Her newly-discovered archeological bent put aside, she focused on lifting Jasper onto her back, ensuring he was helmeted and ready to go, and checking her own gear to prepare for the urgent swim to come. As she listened to the rest of Si-Woo’s orders, the Dragoness’s eyes widened as he said he’d stay behind to make certain, by use of explosives, that the creatures would not be able to follow the rest. There was a certain sense of respect in Xaira’s eyes that she had not felt for the man yet when she glanced over at Si-Woo then. That he was willing to risk himself like that for the rest of them was heartwarming. She wanted to tell him he better be careful but held her tongue; he needed action from her and the others right now above all, she knew that. No fear or hesitation was shown in his body language nor heard in his voice either.

“Hold on tight, JT,” she said, her tone serious again as she double-checked that his diving gear was secure, and quickly checked her own as well as securing her pack filled with bagged and tagged ancient tomes to her side as best as she could, sighing and quickly discarding a few when she realized all of them plus Jasper was definitely too heavy to swim with as qwighty as the felt just standing on solid ground with all of it. After discarding a good few, which was a little painful to her, she still had a good handful of thick tomes that she was confident wouldn’t send her sinking, but it was still going to be a bitch swimming under the weight of them plus Jasper.

Sighing as she stared into the exit for a moment, she stepped closer to the edge, Jt, on her back. Thankfully, her wings would be useful to help propel her and her precious cargo through the depths. “Hold on tight, JT.” With that, she wasted no more time, ensuring the man was on her back securely. She dove in, and began quite literally swimming not just for her own life, but two, pumping her legs and her wings as fast as they could go while being mindful of how good a grip jasper still had on her.

Jasper was glad he had kept his wet-suit on while the teams explored the caverns, because while he had use of his arm back, it was weak and still quite painful to use. Thank the goddess that they had managed to reduce his shoulder quickly. As he slipped the cover onto the blade of his staff and the staff into its waterproof bag, he contemplated the diving gear with distaste. It would be painful to wear it, and even more painful to get it on. In fact, he wasn't certain he was going to be able to don the gear without help. Fortunately, Xaira had turned Lacily over to someone else, and arrived just slightly out of breath.

“Hold on tight, JT,” Xaira said as she helped him into his diving rig and doubled checked everything. Jasper gave the dragoness's gear a visual once over as she discarded items from her pack. Everything looked good, but he couldn't figure out what she had meant by her statement, at least until she hoisted him bodily onto her onto her back and ran to the edge of the water. Repeating her statement to hold on, Xaira dove into the water and began to kick and beat her wings, which buffeted Jasper terribly. Jasper ground his teeth in frustration. Xaira was so focused on getting them out she was ignoring the PPD's they had used to travel to the cavern. If he didn't get her attention soon, she was going to swim out of range of the cluster of devices waiting obediently for their users return.

"Hope she doesn't kill me for this," Jasper thought as he reached down and gave the base of the dragoness's trail a sharp squeeze.

Xaira jerked, then shook Jasper off of her back, spinning in the water to face him. Jasper could swear he heard a muffled 'Yeowtch!' and the look Xaira shot him through her mask clearly said 'whiskey tango foxtrot?' along with a bit of hurt. Jasper just pointed to the swarm of PPD's and he swore he could see the eureka moment, followed by chagrin. Xaira nodded, then began to tow Jasper towards the waiting cluster of vehicles.

Caddigan was a fool, but a fool that liked to live. He gives his superior a lovable smile, a mocking salute, and turns to reunite with his beloved scarecrow. Passing by he spots the elf, glad to see she had not died yet of her wounds, and begins to open his mouth to let out another cheeky one-liner. He, however, notices the annoyed scowl painted across the woman's face and chooses to keep his teeth clenched shut. Perhaps, in the long run, it would be best for Caddy to not get so close to someone so bloody: all that temptation made his gums twitch and his fangs ache. He, instead, focused on the least blood-filled person on the entire SMITED team-

"Dorothy and Scarecrow meet once again!" Caddigan laughs, catching up next to Cain. A rush of crackling bonfire and fresh hay fills his senses once more: it was comforting in a sense, despite not having known the being for long, and Caddy gives the other a gentle pat on the grass-filled shoulder. He hoped SMITED's next mission wouldn't take place at a petting zoo lest pour Cain be devoured by shetland ponies or something of the like.

"So, Cain, my good man" he smiles and looks around at the sea of new company that now surrounded him.
"Who in god's name is Sang?"

Mission Completed

( We're just gonna end the mission, lol. )

Lacily nodded at Calliea who said she was going to have to carry her. "Do what needs to be done. I'd rather not die here today," she managed to say with some effort. She would recover from expending most of her mana, but because she had done so in such a manner her body was reacting negatively. She motioned towards one of the DPV which had helped bring them here which would help get them out faster than if Calliea has just swam with her in tow. So Lacily held tightly onto the DPV with Calliea's help and she turned it full throttle because they didn't have time to waste.

Maia and Mara assisted the knocked out Brass, which with Mara being a merfolk and Maia's strength, it would be a minor struggle to get him out, but it would be easier to have Mara swim for them instead of using the DPV. Hopefully Mara wouldn't get exhausted before breaching the surface of the water once they made it out of the cavern system. Xaira, unshockingly due to her clear attraction towards Jasper, was more than ready to assist the Magician without any argument. However, Jasper had to forcefully remind the girl about the DPVs they had brought with them.

Cain and Caddigan were the next group, helping Sang who had a large chunk of her flesh nearly ripped off and was one of the agents in the worst condition. They would also end up using a DPV device to help speed up the process of getting out of the cavern system.

Si-Woo stripped down out of his clothes and set to work sorting the explosives that had been placed into one of the supply crates here. In the distance he heard the ice cracking loudly and at any moment it would give to the horde of frenzied lizards. He grabbed a small underwater bag and shoved what he could within it as far as artifacts that others had left behind that wouldn't be cumbersome to his person, securing it tightly before dropping the detonator into a smaller waterproof pouch and diving into the water.

He only spared himself a few minutes before he detonated the explosives and the cavern system behind him began to collapse and shift. He pushed himself to swim quickly to reach the next supply drop within the system and set up another explosive device. Unfortunately this one was set on a timer and if he miscalculated his speed he could end up being crushed or trapped. He wanted to be sure those things, not a single one of them, could pursue the group because if they were able to swim, the agents for the most part would suffer from a great disadvantage.

Si-woo in the end detonated five explosive devices, nearly getting caught as one triggered and caused the cavern to shrink as it cracked and almost caught his lower half. By the time he was out of the cavern system and breached the surface the ship had already sent a smaller boat to retrieve the agents. He swam up to the boat just as the last explosion went off right at the entrance of the cavern, grabbing an offered towel and wrapping it around his lower body before being pulled into the boat.

The agents returned to the main ship where their wounds were treated as best as possible with the first aid kits and medic aboard, taken to the closest port where there was a hospital where a better assessment and care could be given. Once the agents were stable and cleared to return to HQ they were flown back not in a cargo plane, but a smaller private jet.
