Realistic or Modern π¬π₯𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 -- 𝐩𝐫𝐒𝐯

Blaze laid there on his side. An arm across Mason's chest, his other arm bent under his head. He had his eyes closed though. Sometimes he simply couldn't look at the man beside him. Possibly because Blaze was using him. Chasing away his internal dilemmas with meaningless sex. Meaningless to him at least. He always headed out after Mason fell asleep. The male was selfish in that regard. He understood the other's need to be alone. Yet he would take advantage of being some sort of an exception.

He loves his life like this. No commitments and no promises he can't keep. It does get lonely sometimes. On that walk home after a hook up, kicking rocks as he walks down the street in the middle of the night. That's when he seemed to be at his lowest. Realizing how low he was for ever treating someone so lousy. Yet he would never admit it. The constant war with his pride gave him the joy of keeping those thoughts inside. An endless cycle, if you will.

"Fine, I'll stay. If it makes you so happy." His tone was sarcastic. Blaze rolled over so his back was to Mason. "For two more hours." He mumbled. It wasn't his fault the door would be left unlocked after he left. In fact he had no clue the entry point upset Mason so much. Blaze didn't have a key. Half the time he was too drunk to even think to lock the knob before closing the door behind him.

Blaze didn't want to talk. He didn't have anything to boast about currently. Instead he had bad shit going on. Stuff that he didn't want anyone to know he was going through. The joys of withdrawal. He also didn't tell anyone he was trying to quit alcohol. That would only lead to disappointing people when he inevitably let them down. No, it was easier to stay silent.
