  • Name: Acacius Flamel
Appearance: Acacius appears to be of the size of an average twelve-year-old but was in fact at the brink of entering the third decade of his life. He carries a huge backpack as an alchemist and chose to cover his body with a dark cloak of complimentary size. His hat hides his dark short hair. His hazel eyes peek out from the shadow cast by his hat.

    Persona:
Acacius can appear a little aloof and reserved, due to having to deal with a much younger physical appearance whenever he tried to present himself. Overtime Acacius learned to use his appearance to his advantage, indulging in childish acts without having to bear judgemental eyes. Though empathetic and sensitive in nature, Acacius was desensitized enough to be unphased by dread, while still able to use his empathy to try to understand and help those around him.
    Background:
The birth of Acacius and his fraternal twin brother Albinus took the last breath from their malnourished mother. His father treated the brothers as how a parent should, but he didn't choose to hide or suppress the unpleasant turmoil within him, his eyes never fail to remind them that they had owed him something, perhaps the father felt that nurturing the children was never meant to be done on his own, perhaps he felt that their birth was just a harbinger of his shattered ideal family life.

The brothers were carefree for most of the time, they were able to find solace in each other, find amusement in the simplest things that life offered together. Whenever his father was off to the fields, Acacius and Albinus would gather around the neighbor's door with other children tagging along. Acacius could remember that it was the only space that he felt like he belongs, it was a time that he wished never passed. Although he was young, Acacius was aware enough to realize the happiness he possessed was like a lost treasure in the world he was tossed in, sometimes he felt alone and even scared, but he was able to share his treasure of innocence with his brother Albinus, and his brother was always there to reciprocate that.

The plague marked the turning point of Acacius's childhood. The illness drained the remaining life within the worn-out adults and took every last bit of happiness away from the children. It was not going to leave anything behind. The adults were too weak to moan and shed tears, and the infected children were abandoned, sobbing in the face of growing dread, most died of hunger before the illness was able to silence them. With most people already fleed from the contamination, each passing day the village grew quieter as bodies were beginning to pile up at every corner. Ever so often Acacius would spot a familiar playmate, leaning against the wooden building like a rag doll, staring into nothingness with lifeless eyes resembling those of a dead fish. The children were no longer able to smile, Acacius was not an exception.

Acacius's family was not free from the plague. At the point Acacius's father was beginning to rot in his bed, his brother Albinus was already rendered unable to chew dry bread when fed to. For every attempt, the food fell right out. Although the plague didn't get to Acacius, something else did. The kid was left confused, not knowing how, or what to feel. Acacius did remember, it was a moment where every voice in his brain was giving up, yelling at him from within, demanding him to cry, and so he did, and he did so loudly, enough to catch the attention of an Alchemist collecting ingredients from the corpses.

The Old Alchemist was intrigued by his discovery, amused when faced with a request from the Mutant child of the Alchemist variety. "Can you make my brother happy again?", was what Acacius desperately begged, and so the Alchemist offered his help, but with a request of his own as he tossed out a dagger, allowing it to slide across the floor into Acacius's sight.
    "Yes, I can try something."
"Bring me 10 tongues of the infected children around your brother's age, and I can cure him."
    "Rotten tongues wouldn't do."
"They are all half-dead anyway, it doesn't really matter what you do. If that is really what you want, you should be the one to do it."

    "But let me tell you......"

"If you want something so badly, you should be ready to lose everything."

  • Name: Etrix Aurel
Appearance: Standing at 5'7 feet tall, you can often see Etrix wearing a plain gray tunic with pants that mirrors the simplicity of his outfit to avoid standing out amidst the sea of people. Though, he also wears an over-sized cloak with a hood to cover his more noticeable features such as his fern green eyes and auburn hair when dealing with the less favorable aspect of his life.

Personality: Etrix, being born in kelene as a magus amidst the inquisitors, learned early on to keep his cards close to his chest. Though being secretive doesn't mean he didn't communicate with other people. In fact, he frequently talks to the local baker or frequents to the pub and gossips with its inhabitants. The locals seem to like his outgoing personality and don't think twice before answering his inquiries despite how fragile the information is, shrugging it off as simple curiosity. Etrix knows the value of both information and connections so he uses his carefully woven stories sprinkled with a little deceit to give himself access to both.
