Advice/Help Size of Group RPs

In y’alls opinion if a person suddenly drops off a group rp how do you go about the situation?? I’m trying to start a group rp I haven’t hosted one before so I’m not sure what the proper etiquette in this situation would be? In past rps if someone dropped off normally the whole thing would just end up dying out but that was a different site

Besides rae2nerdy 's advice which is the same I would give, I would add one thing. If you have a situation where two players are interacting and suddenly, in the middle of the plot, someone drops off. Communicate clearly to the other player and work together with them to write out the situation. You could do it in one narrative post, or the second player could post one alongside you to establish his/her character's path forward. But yeah, communication is everything.
