biography

The Bronx--everyone's heard of it. Gangs, violence, robberies. Every night's filled with danger and people must look over their shoulder's every where they go for fear of being the next victim. And you guessed it. Zevon was born and raised in The Bronx, NYC.


It was difficult for Zevon growing up, like it was difficult for most kids and their single mothers. What made it especially difficult for Zevon, however, was being one of the "light skins." This was particularly amusing for Zevon, considering he was not of African descent but of Carribbean descent. Of course, people would forget every time he told them and would presume to antagonize the poor child until he turned himself into someone he wasn't.


The boy never participated in  the extreme, illegal activities, but he wasn't Mr. Innocent either. By 15, he was sleeping around with both men and women, manipulating people into giving him what he wanted. It was all to help his mother, he'd tell himself.


By the time he was 17, he realized how deep he'd buried his grave. It was difficult for him to admit his problems and that he was struggling. He tried to get himself back up, but his mother had already forgotten what it was like to love her son. The day his mother kicked him out broke Zevon's heart.


Luckily, someone found him and offered him a new home.
